summer breeze
[ crossposted on ao3 @ sinnerspades ]
some of my jojo favs with summer activities. includes: abbacchio, mista, jotaro, dragona, joseph & suzi q, and johnny
author’s note: using he/him pronouns for dragona! if they end up changing in the future i can edit :) some are longer than others but i swear im not biased, just more inspo and ideas. also joseph/suzi/reader poly ftw!
-
Abbacchio: It’s such a nice day out that it seems the entire city has opened up their yard sales, estate sales, stores- you name it. Not one to stay cooped up inside while the sun shines so brightly, you drag Leone out to various houses and streets that you think will pique his interest. “Look, this one says goth yardsale!” you tease, tugging his hand towards the shoddy little gray house.
He looks so good today (he always looked good and exceptionally done up) with his long hair tied into a messy bun, a few strands coming loose and framing his face so nicely. This sale in specific ends up being a score and you return to your car down the street with a worn paperback (“you’ve never read interview with the vampire?! Leone!”), varying lace and leather clothing items in black and grey, and the cutest little antique lamp you had ever seen. You make a trip to the record store on your way back home and he buys two cds: sisters of mercy and moody blues of course. Your evening is spent dancing slowly in the living room and finding spots to put your new goodies.
Mista: Taking a trip to the lake with your favorite boys, but not after stopping at the store for floaties of course. Mista has the genius idea: “let’s bring an air mattress!” despite your caution you cave and leave with one air mattress, a giant inflatable alligator, and two sparkly donut floaties.
At the lake you spend far too long wasting your breath blowing it up- until Fugo raises an eyebrow “why don’t you just use the air mattress fan on the other floaties?” Oh right… Yeah that would make things easier… After applying generous amounts of sunscreen on to everyone (Mista didn’t need much, he tanned easily and without fear of being burnt) you all head into the water. The chill of the lake water feels so nice on your heat-soaked bodies after being in the sun for so long setting up.
You drag the inflatable mattress out and wade until the water is about chest-deep. Mista hops on to the mattress and you’re almost afraid it’ll start sinking under his weight but it stays surprisingly afloat. “Well, aren’t you going to join me?” He grins at you, shaking water out of his dark curls. You accept his hand and he pulls you on top of him on the mattress, holding you in a strong and very warm embrace. The mattress ends up floating way far out to the middle of the lake, but you two are on either side with your hands in the water, unbothered and ready to deal with this problem when you got to it later.
“This was actually a really good idea.” you turn to face him and smile softly. He leans on one of his elbows to turn to face you as well, but quickly pales as he realizes his mistake. The uneven weight of his elbow on the mattress had pushed it down and water had quickly started pooling, sinking his side of the mattress. You shrieked as he rolled into the water and you could hear Narancia’s laugh all the way from the other side of the lake. It only got louder when Mista swam around the other side and wrapped his strong arms around your waist, pulling you into the water with him and pressing kisses against the side of your face.
Jotaro: Last minute trips to the store to get sandcastle supplies, even though you know you’ll have to convince him to build one with you. You end up buying snacks too, perfect for a little picnic by the water. Once you reach the beach you end up using the plastic yellow pails to collect shells and rocks instead of their original purpose, but you’d never complain. “This one matches your eyes!” you hold a pretty turquoise pebble up to his face and squint, comparing the color. He laughs softly and takes it, adding the rock to your growing collection to bring back home.
While you’re setting up the picnic, he silently searches for a rock of your own: he didn’t even have to look over at your face, knowing the color of your eyes by heart. A lifetime of stolen glances studying your face and staring at the details of your eyes, lips, nose too when you weren’t looking back at him.  After lunch you two finally get into the water, tiny fish swimming around your feet and sand between your toes. You squeal when he picks you up effortlessly by your waist and tosses you into the water, but you get your revenge after coming back up for air and jumping onto his back with your legs wrapped around his waist, effectively splashing him. His hair is so curly after he comes out of the water and you make him lean down so you can towel dry it ever so carefully.
Dragona: Sticky sweet hands splitting apart fruits to share, ice cold drinks sweating water droplets on to your chests, the smell of sunscreen and coconut body lotion. Matching swimsuits and sunbathing together after a long day of swimming and running around the beach. Dragona practically glows in the sun and you can’t help but stare from behind your huge sunglasses. He grins at you and rolls on to his side, striking a pose and inviting you to keep staring.
The sun is so warm and you’re so happy, you wish you could just lay here forever with him and take a cat-nap in the sun. But alas, you’ve made plans for dinner and you have to go get changed- the restaurant was casual but not swimsuit casual. That feeling on vacation of pulling loose fitting dresses and shirts over your swimsuit and sitting down outside to share your food, a nice warm breeze passing by. Showers are due once you get home and you have a feeling you’ll be sleeping so soundly after the long day you’ve had. You trace the tattoos on his skin and fall asleep against his chest, lulled by the sound of crashing waves.
Joseph and Suzi Q: waking up early to take the ferry together to a tiny, homely island. Visiting a huge lavender farm and spending hours just wandering and picking the perfect bouquets for all three of you. Tucking a flower into Joseph’s hair, right behind his ear while he leans down to give you a better angle. Weaving daisies into Suzi Q’s hair and giggling when she returns the favor. Laying in the grass under the shade of a huge tree, eating runny ice cream and sharing bites. Screaming and scrambling away when the bees buzz a bit too close: “you’ve fought a god but you can’t handle a bumble bee???” On the ferry back home Joseph falls asleep on your shoulder and snores softly in your ear- you run a hand through his unruly hair and Suzi snaps a pic for you two to tease him over later.
Johnny: The sun is almost finished setting, beautiful shades of orange and purple floating through the sky and casting an amber glow on your faces. You two sit on the steps of the porch, content to sit and stare at the sky while the radio plays from the open kitchen window. You can smell dinner cooking inside, as well as the faint smoky smell of a campfire being started in the backyard. It’s a perfect temperature outside, warm with a faint cool breeze, and you turn your head to stare at Johnny who’s still gazing up at the sky.
You wish you could live in this moment forever, counting the freckles scattered across his cheeks and nose, admiring the way his lashes brush against his face- god he was so pretty. His eyes meet your own and you blush, scooting away in embarrassment of having been caught. “See something you like sweetheart?” He muses, taking a hold of your hand and tugging you back over to him, closer than before. Music drifts in and out through the window but the moment is interrupted when Gyro calls you two to dinner. With a smile you stand up and dust off your jeans, holding out your arm out for Johnny to take with his own strong one as you help him to his cane resting against the kitchen door frame. Dinner was in the backyard of course, why else make a campfire?

Living with Leon NSFW headcanons
the anon who requested this is not only a genius and a sweetheart, but also super hot (don’t ask me how i know this, they just are)
sfw part 1 here
just a lot of gn! ambiguous genitals! reader getting dicked down by leon all about the house. wholesome stuff really.
NSFW under the cut
You thought you knew what Leon’s sex drive was
All the sexts, spicy videocalls, the multiple rounds you’d go for when one of you stayed over, the quickies in Wyndon Stadium etc
Turns out, you weren’t even close
He’d barely put the first box of your stuff down in his sitting room before you were bent over the couch with him deep inside you
Look, you can’t blame Leon
He just loves you so much
And he thinks you’re so goddamn sexy
Suddenly he has way more access to you and your beautiful body
All the excitement at the prospect of living together, and all those missed moments just get to him
Of course he is going to take full advantage of this situation (while obvs respecting your boundaries)
Luckily, you are more than pleased with this arrangement
Say it with me my friends
QUICKIES
You two have it down to a fine fucking art
Like literally, you have the timing perfect
You both get orgasms and a good fuck in, but still enough time to fix yourselves up and arrive on time for work
Well, you are on time
He keeps getting lost on the way rip
Hands often start wandering over shirts and under waistbands when you’re cuddling on the couch and the movie you’re watching just isn’t it
Or if you unintentionally or intentionally grind against his dick while getting comfy on his lap
SO
We know Leon’s shower is really fancy right?
Well, I neglected to mention in the first post that it has steps, and handles, and non-slip surfaces
And alongside his hair and bodywash stuff, he has a bottle of water-resistant lube
You often delight in feeling each other up, if not just straight up fucking under the luscious heat and pressure of the water
You definitely make use of the jets in the shower and bath
“Can I wash you back?” and your ass and your chest and your junk
And if somehow you make it out of the bathroom without ending up with him inside you
You’ll probably end up sandwiched between him and the bedroom wall anyways, towels on the floor
Outside of the house, Leon is a fashion disaster
Inside the house though, he doesn’t even wear enough clothes for it to be considered an outfit worth scrutinizing
Okay that’s not totally true, he does sometimes wear a shirt that is definitely very tight on his muscles
But mostly, especially after showering, he’s shirtless
In loose shorts
Or grey sweatpants 👀
You…. you don’t wear much either
Usually one of his shirts (which tends to be quite big on you)
And sometimes you wear shorts or leggings with it, but only sometimes
It’s for easy access really
Which is good because we all know how Lee gets when you’re wearing his clothes
Gentle morning sex is common
Particularly on his days/morning off
Where he can really spend time holding you, kissing you, caressing you, making love to you
And then cuddle you afterwards, drifting off to sleep again
Because you're both so sleepy during this, it can often lead to unintentional cockwarming
He just gets too sleepy to move for a bit
And too caught up in how perfect and warm and snug you are around him
Not that you mind, because he feels so wonderful against your body, and so amazing and big inside you
Just because you're living together doesn't mean the sexting stops
And I don't just mean when one of you is away from home
Like, you'll just be chilling on the couch in the sitting room
When your phone lights up with a notification from Leon
Which is just a mirror selfie of him in the bathroom, glistening from his workout, in just a low slung towel and a sultry expression
With "🚿?" as the caption
You two have fucked in every room of the penthouse
Except Hop's room ofc
And have made use of basically every surface
The mirrored walls in his gym are 👌

While I know that videogames might not be everyone's cup of tea, let's just pretend that ALL your characters actually do like playing certain videogames. What kind of games do each of them like the most, and are they any good at it?
This one had me do some real thinkin'... 🤔💭
Guzma:
I think Guzma actually really enjoys playing any kind of co-op game with the grunts, even if he's not really good at them. But the grunts think it's funny when he starts raging at a game and he knows it. As far as games he plays alone in his freetime, I feel he prefers adventure/rpg type of game. He doesn't play a whole lot, but when he does find a game he likes, he plays it obsessively and tries to find every little bit of lore and secrets it has. He also always ends up becoming obsessed with games barely anyone's ever heard of and often he pesters Plumeria to play whatever game that is so he can discuss it with someone. (He also likes chill games and farming simulators like stardew Valley and animal crossing, but he's embarrassed about it and will deny it if asked)
Plumeria:
Plums likes rhythm games and strategy/puzzle based games mainly. It's definitely worth noting that she's, like, INSANELY good at them, too. Long story short, all the grunts know to never to take her bet if it invloves beating her high score. She also really enjoys any kind of game that implements any kind of branching path mechanic, so she's definitely played games like Zero Escape, Hades, and any of the telltale games multiple times.
Leon:
Definitely any kind of resource management game. So stuff like slime rancher, oxygen not included, factorio, terraria, et cetera. He's actually had to self ban himself from playing certain games because he missed too many league meetings literally playing for hours without realizing it. It bums him out because they were super fun, but he knows he can't trust himself.
(Other characters under cut)
Hop:
He likes minecraft and other sandbox games. He likes playing co-op with friends, but when he's at home, he doesn't have a great internet connection.
Moon:
Like the little gremlin she is, she likes horror games. She especially likes making Gladion and Hau play horror games with her. Or rather, not telling them it's a horror game until it's too late
A & B:
B is stellar at platformers. A is the best at fighting games of all the grunts. They are both equally trash at racing games.
Kalani (oc):
When he was much younger, he spent a LOT of time playing FPS. By the end of high school, he kind of got bored with them and played more MMO RPGs.
Molayne:
Mo also like MMO RPGs. He also likes games like Elden Ring and Bloodborn. He has, very discreetly, played a variety of dating sims and, no, no one knows about this but him.
Kukui:
The professor plays a lot of battle royale games. He's also very bad about getting sucked into gotcha games.

Honestly Eternatus just becomes Leon's dog/cat thing. Like obviously, there's respect between the two, one does not exactly look down on the other. They listen to each other, and work together as trainer and pokemon. Legendary and Pokemon.
.....But Eternatus is also very silly. It likes attention, really, and it makes that known. It's surprisingly playful, and it's often nudging Leon for pets or cuddles. Raihan and Piers would often find Eternatus coiled around Leon, putting happily, and Leon could literally do nothing about it. And neither could Raihan and Piers cause like. It's Eternatus, what can they do? There's also the fact Eternatus is very stingy with bath time, ESPECIALLY if the person giving it the bath isn't Leon. It will pout and be all hissy until Leon shows up. It's still stingy but at least Leon is there so it's fine. Over the years, Eternatus has gotten better with others being around it ( Leon's mom, Luisa, is one of his favorites, but Naomi and Hop are close behind too....once it got over the fact they were connected to the Wolves), but still protective about Leon. Leon is it's favorite human ever. No contest. And because of that, it just acts like a cat/dog thing around him, and not the eldritch worm dragon that almost destroyed Galar.
Getting into Eternatus dynamic with Raihan because I think it's funny. Pre-relationship ( so when Leon was with Alexis and Raihan was just with Piers), they did not like each other. Eternatus was the one dragon that Raihan didn't like ( no matter how curious he was about it). It would have been funny if at the time, Leon being the Chosen of Eternatus, and Leon ultimately keeping Eternatus was the center of some very heated arguments between Raihan and Leon. I wouldn't say "almost tore their friendship apart" type arguments, but definitely ones that hurt. But over time, especially once Leon joined Raihan and Piers' relationship, the two ( Eternatus and Raihan) have this love-hate dynamic. Eternatus likes getting on Raihan's nerves, for one. Will cling onto Leon for no other reason than for Raihan to not hug his boyfriend. Raihan likes acting smug when he does have Leon to himself and Eternatus is around. Leon is greatly amused that his dog/cat/Chooser and his boyfriend are fighting over him( Alexis didn't exactly have this problem when Leon was in a relationship with him really. They both think it was due to Leon being a Chosen connected to another dragon, but who's to say). But outside of petty stuff, they get along fairly well. Leon has found Raihan laying on Eternatus doing some reading,or simply scrolling on his phone. He even caught Raihan showing Eternatus some pictures. He knows that those two care about each other, they're just stubborn and petty lol.
Piers' relationship is honestly pretty mixed. On one end, Eternatus almost destroyed his home no thanks to a capitalist prick ( Rose) and put one of his best friends turned lover in the hospital. On the other end, and hear him out, Eternatus honestly just vindicated Piers' feelings around dynamaxing, and a win is a win. So. Yeah, I can see Piers being very cautious around Eternatus, but ultimately pretty chill about it. I feel like Eternatus and Piers just vibe, once everything is settled down and Piers trusts it more. They like messing with Raihan too, so that's just another point on the chill counter.
All in all, I think Eternatus is a silly little guy that just so happens to be an eldritch dragon worm cat/dog thing that can for some reason Choose, which confuses the fuck out of a lot of legendaries.

you always talk about the champions but what about the next champions? would any of the main trainers beat their regions champions and take their title?
Ghmh yeah I have been thinking abt that for a while now, mainly bc it'd be funny if in a lil timeskip, Iris becomes the lil pseudo leader of the next gen champs and she's there vibing bc she's kinda like Lance hahaha even better she also wears a cape lmao
Anyways that'd be fun tho, but idk which one of the current champs to actually lose and give up the champion title. Then again, Geeta would still be top champ, but then there's Nemona and Florian y'know
With Indigo's league, it would be cool if Silver is actually the next Champion rather than Gold. Idk cause like, in my hcs Gold didn't really care much abt the league, he's just cool venturing around and helping his grandparents at the daycare; Silver on the other hand was determined to become Champion, I wanna say he would be able to beat Lance and be Indigo's new champ
Hoenn's league, May honestly just wanted that title to spite her father lol. Like, homegirl was already a battling prodigy, beat the Frontier Brains, and has Rayquaza with her, what more another title right. Idk if I do want Hoenn to still have two Champions, cause in my hcs Unova and Paldea already has two (technically three for Paldea but again, Geeta's in a diff rank)
Sinnoh's league, it's Dawn ofc. As much as Cynthia doesn't want her to be the next champ, Dawn was a strong trainer. She also wanted that Champion title since the start, and hey she really worked hard to get it y'know. Cynthia is there to guide her tho, homegirl doesn't want Dawn to go through the same shit as her
Unova's league, well, still Iris and Hilbert are the champs hahah but like, outside Unova, Iris is more well known as she's been Champion the longest and the fact between the two of them she's the one who attends meetings and gatherings, Hilbert only ever attends when Iris calls in sick or she really couldn't atm
Kalos' league, Calem becomes the next champ. I do have a lil concept abt this, like,, Calem is a lonely kid man, ik I compared him to May in my hcs, and the main difference abt them is that May forged genuine connections with her friends, whereas Calem tried but he just couldn't connect with the Kalos kids on a deeper level. Which, yeah, made him lonely, thinking that if he becomes Champion, it'd make him forget abt that loneliness. It didn't. Diantha is trying to help him through t ofc, she knows the feeling of loneliness all too well
Alola's league, it's still Hau hahah c'mon I think the kid deserves it, he's like, strong af too. Idk, I want him to have some sort of reputation hahah like, new challengers would always encounter him at random points, and he's like, very chill y'know, he's just vibing, encouraging new trainers to do their best, but during Champion battles, it feels like he becomes a different person that it actually scared the trainers hahaha
Galar's league, it's Gloria. Felt absolutely bad she beat Hop, low-key felt proud of herself beating Leon, either way, she doesn't know what to feel sometimes now that she's Champion. And hey not like it was during Leon's time, Rose isn't around anymore, and Leon made a few changes at how the League runs with young Champions before she beat him, so hey y'know. Honestly a bit intimidated w her new title, but tries not to show it
Paldea's league, Nemona and Florian ofc hahah. I mean, Geeta's still around ofc, but hey. Anyways yeah, these two are Paldea's champs and Nemona is the overly competitive one that she challenged Silver once like really pissed him off bc she wouldn't stop bugging him hahah (it ended up tied) and then there's Florian who's just trying to keep Nemona in check too, but also enables her in pissing off Silver bc he thinks it's entertaining
It would be fun tho to make concepts abt them, but hey yeah, feel free to send asks abt them if you guys want hahah

Headcanons about Leon when he has time off from Champion duties?
((Sure thing!))
Tumblr media
Time off is so rare when you're the Champion in Galar. For Leon, it's pretty much a 9-5 job and getting a day where he just be Leon instead of Leon the Champion is a day that he most savors greatly. So, when Chairman Rose tells him to take the day for himself, Leon does so willingly.
On his days off, Leon likes to sleep in or lounge around in bed. He gets up pretty early due to him needing to be at the League ahead of the Gym Leaders and prepare for next year's Gym Challenge. So, whenever he gets his day off, he likes to be bundled in his blanketed cocoon and enjoy being a wrapped up baked potato for an additional couple hours.
Leon often travels back home to visit Hop and his mom. He doesn't get homesick too often, but whenever the longing for home hits him, he does not hesitate to take the next train back to Potswick. He often stays until late in the evening, soaking in every hour of pleasant conversation that's not League related and bonding with his little bro over other topics like video games or catching up on favorite TV series that they promise to watch together. Family time is quite important to Leon and with being away from home, he makes the most of it.
If visiting home isn't an viable option for whatever reason, Leon would often hang out with Raihan, Piers, Nessa and Sonia (if she's available). The group of friends would either go out or chill, the latter being the most favorable. Sometimes Raihan would challenge Leon to a Pokemon battle, but other times the group would make dumb, silly videos of each other or head out to the Wild Area to camp for the day.
But, if the friend group wasn't available, Leon would spend the day at his place tending to his Pokemon team. Charizard and the others chill out with him and they spend the day watching TV, being cuddled and pampered.
Oftentimes, Leon likes to go for a ride on Charizard and enjoy some quiet time for himself while being surrounded by sky and clouds. It's absolute bliss for him.

There had been about a week of school between the Championship finals and school starting back up. That was to say, a week for Hop to gather the stregnth to face everyone once he returned to school with his best friend, now champion of the Galar region. He couldn’t just stop walking to school with her- after all, she didn’t treat Hop any different. He ought to be a good sport.
The two kids weren’t even at school yet when Hop noticed parents stealing glances at the new champion as they saw their kids off to school.
“Ha. Looks like you’re pretty much a celebrity now, huh, Gloria?”
Gloria smiled. “Yeah.”
“You so deserve it. You’re like, the best trainer ever.”
As the kids entered the highschool, a swarm of teenagers gathered around them, chattering and trying to get Gloria’s attention.
“Oh my God, you have got to come tell us about the championship!” a girl squealed.
Gloria was already being pulled away when she gave Hop a conflicted look.
“Go! Have fun! You earned it, champ!” Hop said, and Gloria melted into the crowd.
As soon as she was gone, Hop’s smile fell. Thank God she was gone.
A younger boy approached Hop. “Hey, you’re Hop, right?”
The attention made Hop feel a little better. “Yeah!”
“So you know the champion and ex-champion! Do you know if...” the boy looked away shyly, “they do autographs?”
It’ll go away. It’ll go away. People will forget about the championship by mid-October. They always do.
The first day of school was all like that, and Hop took it like repeated blows to the face. Home wasn’t much better. Leon was visiting, and that meant that all the attention was on him.
“So, how’s college in Wedgehurst?” their mother asked. “Are you going to try and win back your title next year?”
“Ha. Not sure how those connect, but it’s good. And maybe! I wouldn’t just leave my title if I didn’t think it were in good hands, but Gloria’s hands are ones I can trust!”
“Well, I’m sure that whatever you choose to do, you’ll excel in it. You’re still our champion, Leon.”
Leon smiled awkwardly. “Yep, that’s me. Thanks, guys.”
Hop got up, leaving his plate unfinished. He vaguely heard his grandfather asking where he was going, but he took his bag and ran without answering. After a couple minutes of running, he was in the hills of Postwick, overlooking the misty forests of the slumbering weald. He dug into his bag for his pokéballs and threw them out one by one. Trevenant. Bolthund. Heatmor.
“Go away! I’m not a trainer anymore! Go find someone else.”
The three Pokemon looked at him with regret, but they turned and ran off as he ordered.
Pincurchin. Snorlax. Cramorant. They saw what was going on and ran off as well.
Reluctantly, Hop sent out Zamazenta. The mighty wolf looked at the procession of Pokemon leaving, and then turned back to Hop with sadness in his eyes. “Look... I wouldn’t use you if I kept you. It’s better this way. Goodbye,” he whispered. Zamazenta nuzzled into his shoulder before leaving. Hop stared down at his bag. All that was left was his first three Pokemon. He didn’t have the heart to release those. He sat down on the grass and watched the Pokémon run off into the mist, tears streaming down his face.
Hop was vaguely aware of someone walking up behind him before he heard Leon’s voice. “You’re really releasing Zamazenta? Dang, you must be depressed.” Leon sat down next to Hop. “What’s bothering you, kid?”
“I don’t know. I was always fine with people hyping you up, but it’s different with Gloria. I always knew you were the best, and I used to think I could be as good as you someday. Gloria and I used to be equals, and now I know I’ll never be as good as you two. Maybe I should just look into working for a professor or something. That’s what Sonia did, isn’t it?”
Leon sighed and sat down beside his brother. “Well, yeah, but Sonia was always an academic, and you-”
Hop winced.
“Chill. I wasn’t gonna say that you aren’t cut out for it. But you don’t like academics. I’m sure you could learn the skills to help a professor, but you shouldn’t do it just because Sonia did.”
There was a lull in the conversation.
“Do you want to know why I’m living in Wedgehurst right now even though Postwick is a stone’s throw away and I could just stay with our parents and save on rent? Because I know that if I stayed here, our family would just pressure me into challenging the new champion again.”
Shocked, Hop looked to his brother. He seemed serious, but he couldn’t possibly be. “You’re not going to? You’re just going to let her take your title and you’re not even going to fight it?”
“I’m not saying I won’t. But whether I do or not, I want it to be my decision. I’m a little scared that anything I do now, they’ll feel like it’s beneath me. I mean, I haven’t even declared a major yet. But I have to figure out what I want out of life on my own. And so do you. If you’re going to be a professor, don’t do it because you think that’s what failures do. If you’re going to to take the challenge again, don’t do it because you want to be me. You have to love the process.”
“I guess that makes sense. And I do have time to figure out what I want to do. Thanks for the talk.”
“No problem. Anyhow, I had a little idea. You see, the acting champion of Sinnoh is looking for a summer student to help her with some archeology research this summer. She offered me the position, but I’m pretty sure I could talk her into giving it to you. Who knows? Maybe you’ll love the whole research thing.”
“You’d do that for me? You really don’t have to. I know that you’re trying to figure things out, too, and who on earth wouldn’t want to spend a summer with Cynthia? Especially since you already know her!”
“You bet I’m doing it. Now let’s get back and stop worrying everyone.”
It took all of Hop’s willpower not to tell everyone about his summer plans the second he met up with Gloria the next day. Cynthia could say no, after all. It took a week to get confirmation, and Hop was glad for it, because by then he’d realized what an incredible opportunity it was. It wouldn’t just get him away from the championship next summer- it would be his first time out of the region on his own, set to travel all over a region with deep culture in mythology and archaeology, with Cynthia. Being an ex-champion’s little brother had benefits. Needless to say, once he got confirmation everyone Hop knew was aware of his summer plans before long.
Come summer, Hop was on a boat headed for Sinnoh, a little scared to be on his own. What would Cynthia think of him? Would he be able to keep up with her while mining? How much had Leon said about him?
The boat arrived at the beautiful port city of Canalave, and not long after, Cynthia rode in on her garchomp, long blonde hair flowing behind her like a Hisuian warrior queen’s. Hop watched as she dismounted. Then, he waved excitedly, hoping to get her attention. Cynthia finally noticed him and approached.
“Hop?”
“Yes!”
“Nice to meet you! Ready for an adventure?”
“You bet!”
“Then let’s get started. Follow me. You’re going to get your first glimpse of the grand underground.”
With that, Cynthia took Hop to the outskirts of Canalave City, to sign indicating an entrance to the mines Sinnoh was famous for. Cynthia looked like a kid on Christmas Day as she heaved the hatch open and jumped down what looked to be a fifteen-foot drop, landing nimbly as a cat.
“Throw your bags down, I’ll catch them!” Cynthia insisted. “And don’t try to jump down yourself. Leon wants you back in one piece.”
Hop did as he was told and climbed down using the ladder. The grand underground didn’t seem all that grand to him- just a reinforced tunnel lined with lanterns. There wasn’t anything wrong with it, but he didn’t quite understand Cynthia’s elation.
“These tunnels go all through the underground of Sinnoh. They, and a whole lot of mudslides from the mountain ranges, are why we have some of the greatest archaeological and paleontological achievements in the world. It’s truly something amazing, isn’t it?”
“Well... yeah, I guess.”
“Sorry if I’m getting a little ahead of myself. We’re spending a few days here nearby Canalave. The, we’ll head to Oreburg. It’ll be our home base for most of the summer. We’ll get your bags dropped off at the hotel in a bit, but I wanted to do a little digging first. It’s been a long time since I had a whole summer for this! You don’t mind, do you?”
“No, ma’am!” Hop responded.
“The first task the head researchers at Oreburg gave us is to gather two dozen cranidos skull to compare by size, and outside Canalave is just the place for that. The radar’s telling me that there’s probably enough in this area to spend a day here, but after that, we’re going to have to go through some caverns. Did you bring any Pokémon?”
“Yes. Three.”
“Good. We’ll probably need them. Now, let me show you how to dig.”
Cynthia dug some hard hats and tools out of her bag, and Cynthia took to teaching him how to dig. It was tiring work, and it took a long time to get anywhere with it, but Cynthia didn’t seem to tire.
That was how Hop spent his couple days with Cynthia- digging in the dirt. They managed to recover four cranidos skulls and some other items that Cynthia said were valuable, and Hop got to wander the city at night. It wasn’t a terrible way to spend the summer. Maybe not something he could see himself doing long-term, but hey, he hadn’t even been to the labs in Oreburg yet, and he’d get to see the whole region this way. And he would have a summer where no one asked him about his failed Pokémon journey.
Or so he thought until he got to the cavern. The cavern contained an underground lake, and it was full of wild Pokémon that the two had to fend off. It was after his Dubwool had taken down a graveler with double-kick that Cynthia seemed to take notice of him. They didn’t talk until they were on the other side of the cavern.
“You seem pretty in-sync with Dubwool. You’ve been on a Pokémon journey, haven’t you?” Cynthia asked, returning her lucario to its ball.
Hop stiffened up. “N-no. It’s just- I uh- well, I’ve had Dubwool since I was a little kid. I pretty much raised him from birth after I found him lost and injured in the Slumbering Weald. I don’t have to battle with him to make him my partner, he’s been my partner my whole life.” Hop patted the giant sheep on the back as they walked. He’d heard somewhere that the best lies were ninety-percent truth.
Cynthia’s expression was unreadable. “Hm. Well, you’re an impressive pair regardless. It’ll help us get through wild areas.”
A day later, it was time to leave for Oreburg.
“Do you have a Pokémon that can fly?” Cynthia asked. “If not, we’ll have to find another way to Oreburgh. Garchomp can only take one person.”
“Oh. Yeah. Sure,” Hop said, letting out his giant, armoured corvid. Cynthia gave him that knowing look. Hopefully she wouldn’t ask questions about how a boy who had never been on a Pokémon journey had such a powerful-looking creature. Sinnoh didn’t have corviknight, so hopefully she would just assume they were commonplace in Galar.
They were in the air, Cynthia on Garchomp and Hop on Corviknight, when Cynthia received a call on her Pokétch.
“Yes? Earthquake. Celestic Town. We’ll be right over.” Cynthia shut off the call and turned to Hop, serious. “Change of plans. I’ve been called in to do some disaster relief.”
Cynthia shifted course, and Hop followed. For the first time, Hop could tell she was worried. He felt a little bad even speaking, but he had to know. “You get called on for disaster relief?”
“Yes. Sinnoh isn’t stable like Galar is. The very mountains we’re built upon house the most powerful legendaries in the world, and it helps people feel safe if they have hero figures to rely on. When the mountains shake, when the legendaries brawl, when terrorists strike, Sinnoh needs to know that the masters of our best-used source of power will be there to keep everyone safe. That's what our league is for.”
Cynthia guided garchomp into a dive, and Hop followed. Once they were through the cloud layer, Celestic Town came into sight. Rocks had spilled onto roads from the various peaks that surrounded the town, but what seemed to scare Cynthia stiff were the trees that had toppled onto to certain houses.
The two landed and dismounted. “What am I supposed to do?” Hop asked.
“Just stay within my line of sight,” Cynthia said, walking towards the center of town. “Find a way to help if you’d like. Whatever makes you feel best.”
Cynthia quickly joined up with the elite four. A boy a couple years younger than Hop was along with them, but Hop thought better than to ask about it.
“Alright,” Cynthia said, addressing the five trainers. “There’s seven of us, so let’s split up into three teams. I’ll take Lucas and my summer student. You know the drill: survey the area, help anyone who’s in danger, and then make a show of having your Pokémon repair damage until the authorities show up and can take over. Make people feel like the day has been saved. Is that a plan?”
There was general agreement.
“Excellent. Let’s go.”
Moving at a pace close to a run, the first place Cynthia went was to her parents’ house. To her immense relief, it was unharmed, and her parents were safe. The rescue effort wasn’t particularly difficult after that, and Cynthia’s calmness kept Hop calm as well. A few trees had to be lifted off of buildings, and roads had to be cleared, but thankfully no one was significantly injured. Cynthia sent her team out to help, and Hop sent his three Pokémon out as well. It was only right, and Dubwool was excellent at breaking up the large rocks that had fallen onto the street.
Not much later, a proper disaster relief team had arrived, and while the league continued to chip in, it was clearly mostly for appearances. As Cynthia put it, they were there to give the appearance that powerful people were setting things right. It was around sunset when the disaster relief crew told the league that they could take it from there.
“Wonderful. We could probably still make it to Oreburgh, but you boys have had a long day. Why don’t you two hang out down by the river? I’ll ask my parents if we can stay the night.”
And that was what they did. Hop and Lucas played by the river together, returned for dinner with Cynthia and her parents, and stayed up late talking and playing cards. Cynthia’s parents went to bed a little past 11, and Lucas followed about an hour after that. As soon as he was out of earshot, Cynthia turned to Hop with that knowing gaze. “You know, you have some very powerful Pokémon for someone who's never really battled with them. I don’t know much about Galarian Pokémon, but your rabbit Pokémon looks to me like a fully evolved starter. And Dubwool knows head smash. That’s typically learned at a pretty high level. Did you get them from someone?”
“Well, I did kind of go on a bit of a journey. But it was nothing worth mentioning. I got sick pretty early on and it was cut short. I honestly wish I hadn’t gone- then Dubwool would still be a wooloo and we could still keep him in the house.”
Cynthia turned away and sighed. “I think it’s time that I told you how I first took notice of Lucas. It wasn’t when he first challenged me for my title. No, it was at the peak of Mount Coronet. You see, the primary energy company in Sinnoh used to hide a dark secret: a destructive and criminal cult. I’d put together the pieces and realized that their leader, Cyrus, was planning on summoning Dialga and Palkia at the summit for Arceus-knows-what nefarious ends. The elite four didn’t believe me, so I went alone. Just as I’d thought, Cyrus was there on the Spear Pillar, fiddling with runes, portals, and a weird-looking floating chain. Two women were guarding him, and we battled two-against-one. It was as we battled that I saw a young boy- a boy I’d seen in passing before- run past us and challenge Cyrus. I honestly don’t know if Lucas’ presence changed anything. I could have beaten Cyrus’ Pokémon easily, and having his team defeated isn’t what stopped him. But Lucas had somehow figured out where a secretive cult leader planned to strike and rushed in to stop him without hesitation. And when I saw the kind of teamwork there was between him and his Pokémon, I knew he would challenge me one day.
“In a few months, he will have been the champion for a year, and so I’ll be able to challenge him again. And I will. As much as I love having the summer to myself, I’m not done being champion, and the longer I wait, the more he’ll go from the kid who took four tries to beat me to a seasoned champion who has taken down numerous challengers. But, I plan on contacting him to join the league as soon as Bertha retires, and I hope that I’ll be able to give my title to him once I’m done with it. Lucas is a hero. He’s what the league needs.”
Cynthia turned her attention to Hop, somewhat harshly. “And that brings us to you. You’ve been lying to save face. Leon told me everything. Your trip wasn’t cut short. You were beaten into the dirt in your Pokémon challenge both by your best friend and your bully, and it pained you so much that you released most of your Pokémon a week afterwards. And yet, not an hour after you were disqualified from the championship, you teamed up with Gloria to take on a Pokémon so powerful it could swallow Arceus if it wanted to. It never occurred to you that you might be too weak to make a difference. You just knew your region had to be saved. And you’re still like that. You let your Pokémon help to the best of their abilities today even though it would make it obvious you’d been lying. I know that the Champion of Galar is more sports star than hero, but you’re still the kind of person that I would want wielding that kind of power. You’re welcome to never battle again if you want. But if you’d like, I could show you how to battle like a champion. Would you like that?”
Hop was almost too overwhelmed to speak. “You want to train me? Yeah! Of course I’d like that!”
“Excellent. We’ll start tomorrow.”

Pokemon Journeys Episode 100 is a thoughtful take on Leon's character
So I loved episode 100 of pokemon Journeys so much! I'm really glad that the writers touched the different side of Leon's personality, like Twilight Wings did. It was a cute, lighthearted episode, but there's also a lot to unpick:
One thing which episode 100 of Pokemon Journeys does better than Leon's past episodes, is exploring the Champion's emotions. Of course, we have been given some details about Leon's personal life earlier in the series. Back in episode 43, Sonia explains how she grew up with Leon, and taught him about pokemon battles. However, episode 100 elaborates on this, revealing Leon's 'true face' as promised. The episode has a similar set up to episode 43, with Sonia taking Goh for a drive in one scene, and Ash helping out Leon in another. I thought this structure was effective for showing both Sonia's and Leon's perspective, in terms of his identity.
At the beginning of the episode, Ash finds out that Leon is in a match against Flint. Here, we see the same version of Leon that we have seen during his battles with Lance and Raihan: Confident, cocky, and powerful. Shortly after, Leon is shown signing autographs for kids. By contrast, here he is much more relaxed and down to earth. I think this shows another side of Leon's personality that we saw during episode 82, which is like an intermediate between his 'true face' and his Champion persona. While he is still playing the role as the unbeatable champion, he is more calm and less of the cocky personality which he presents in battles. This is for two main reasons: when surrounded by fans, Leon needs to maintain his Champion status, in order to meet everyone's expectations. This is frustrated by the fact that many of Leon's fans are kids, who literally see him as a superhero. However, underneath it all, he just wants to be able to chill and chat with people.
Leon's situation is arguably similar to how irl celebs have to present themselves. I'm going off topic, but when signing autographs or being interviewed, celebs still have to play a part in order to promote themselves. This is exactly what Leon is doing here. It's less of the act which he puts up during battles, but still very much a 'champion' persona for his fans.
The first revelation we have about Leon's 'true face', is that he is actually quite ordinary. For instance, we already knew about Leon's bad sense of direction, but this episode makes it even more hilarious. Leon's poor sense of direction continues to prove that he's still a human being underneath his celebrity status: When Sonia tells Goh about Leon's terrible sence of direction, Goh is shocked. He even says "I thought Leon was the perfect Champion". Leon has been lost in previous episodes of Pokemon Journeys, so you'd think that Goh wouldn't question this. However, I think that Leon's flaws are so overshone by his champion demeanor, that people forget about his imperfections. I feel like that was why Goh was so suprised at Sonia's remark. Everyone has their faults, which is makes Leon relatable and believable as a character, hence more 'ordinary' than he initially seems.
The thing about Leon's celebrity status, is that he has to carry it around with him nearly all the time. Even outside of the limelight, he is representing the Galar champion and 'reigning monarch' of the coronation series. This extends to all the trainers he meets, including Ash and Goh, and even his younger brother Hop in the games. In this episode, Leon finds a chance to be himself while training with Ash. At this point, Leon has known Ash for long enough to realise that putting on an act around him is not neccessary. Ash is determined to beat Leon, and he doesn't need a 'superhero' personality to convince him. As a result, we see Leon being carefree for once.
Next, we have the revelation from Sonia that behind Leon's "Charismatic figure" he is just a "big kid... a pokemon freak". Goh then observes that Leon is "basically Ash". Immidiately after, we see a shot of Leon and Ash almost mirroring each other. The assimilation of Ash and Leon is neat, but also pretty sad. Leon is basically Ash under the influence of fame and power. As I said in one of my earliest posts, Leon may battle for his love of pokemon, but this doesn't meant that he is completely happy. (The post was on my old blog page so I don't think I can reference it, but that's pretty much what I wrote about). Being famous for what you're good at can come with immense pressure, especially if you're depicted as an idol.
Sonia also drops a hint about Leon's childhood. She states that Leon didnt have many friends as a child other than Sonia, and was often "Helping with chores around the house and taking care of his little brother". I'm not sure why there's no elaboration about Hop here. It would have been interesting to explore Leon's relationship with his brother. It is implied in the games that Leon had to step up as a parental figure for Hop, as he "practically raised him". Whether there was a deceased parent, or familial issues that Leon and Hop went through, it's not clear. But then, as Sonia said, pokemon changed Leon's world.
The main reason why Leon pursued pokemon in the first place seems to be due to the joy they gave him as a lonely child. However, reaching the heights of a champion has made it so much more complex. The later part of the adventure shows Leon being completely honest. When Ash asks "what's it like to be champion?" Leon says: "I'd never lost a pokemon battle, and it scared me". Being as successful as Leon arguably would be terrifying. Once you are the best at something, you're stuck. There's nothing left to gain. As Leon puts it, "I'd reached my limit, and couldn't improve any further". Also, Leon's winning streak diminishes his purpose to "learn from every battle I take part in". He's ends up doing the same thing over and over again, and nothing changes. It's no wonder that it gave Leon hope seeing how strong eternatus is. In order to stay sane, everyone needs something to look up to. If we don't, our goals seem meaningless. Leon now realises that "There's still guys who are stronger than me! and I can chase after them!"
Finally, when you consider the fact that Leon became champion at the age of 10, he's been carrying around his celebrity persona for most of his life. He's never had a chance to know what to do with his fame. As a kid's show, I think it's great that the writers are putting this concept out there like Twilight Wings did. Fame can turn you into someone you're not and trap you, if you can't see beyond it.
That's about it lol. I hope there will more wholesome Leon content like this in future episodes!!

Stand By Me- Chapter 1
Royal!AU, Champion Leon x Reader;
very very slight Raihan x Reader if you squint through a magnifying glass, can be read as completely platonic.
note: reader is afab, and I will likely use she/her pronouns whenever needed. however, she is still referred to as "Sir Knight" from time to time.
Word Count: 1843
-
It’s early morning in Hammerlocke as you make your way to the training field, past the open castle gates. Your Dreepy floats around your head, occasionally nipping at your ear to get your attention. He’s young, less experienced than most of your team- but you’re sure that he will learn propriety and discipline just like the rest- it is your job, after all, and you rather pride yourself on your professionalism.
It’s an important job, to be a knight of Hammerlocke. Sir Raihan is a gentle young man outside of battle, but he never holds back; always keeping his knights on their toes, always expecting the best, even though he is a patient teacher. You smile when you think of him, then shake your head. You need to focus.
You love Hammerlocke Stadium in early spring mornings- the winter chill not quite gone, the air crisp as you breathe it in, your tunic and mail armour keeping you warm enough to be comfortable. You know your Dragon types won’t be happy to come out and train until the sun has warmed the field a little, so you decide to start by jogging for a while. Since Dreepy is a ghost, he really has no issues following you around as you run, more than happy to just spend time with you outdoors.
It’ll be a while before the other knights head down to train, and even so, you don’t expect a lot of people to train today. It’s one of your two days off per week, and most of the knights prefer to spend these days resting, or drinking, or taking their sweethearts to town- or all three. You try not to feel a tiny bit jealous when you think of what everyone else will be doing today- determined as you are to stick to your training schedule, to better yourself, you can’t help but feel a little as if you’re missing out on the best parts of youth.
You shake your head lightly, taking care to breathe in slowly and deeply through your nose as you run. You’re just about done with your first lap when you see a figure by the entrance of the stadium, who sees you and makes a beeline for you.
It’s Sebastian, one of the knights of your own rank. He looks flushed, and a little tired, and you recall that he was given a special duty last night- High King Rose was visiting, and Sebastian was to stand guard within his chambers all night, in addition to Aria, who stood guard outside.
“Sir Raihan wishes to see you,” Sebastian says, direct as ever. “Don’t bother with your uniform, he knows you’ve been out training and he wants to see you directly.”
Wordlessly, you return Dreepy to his pokeball. You try to make some light conversation with Sebastian, but he gives you short replies and you realize he’s probably aching to get into his bed right now. Understandable- private duty with the royals, privileged honor as it is, has a bad rep with the knights of your rank- allows for minimal personal training, requires constant vigilance, as well as occasionally reducing the knights to pandering to the royals’ needs like handmaidens. You wonder if the High King is fussy at all, but decide against prying and asking Sebastian.
Sir Raihan is in one of the private sitting rooms at the stadium, tapping a quill against blank paper when you arrive. He brightens when he sees you, and immediately relieves Sebastian.
As Sebastian closes the door beside him, Sir Raihan motions for you to sit.
“How are you?” he asks.
“Well, Sir Raihan,” you smile at him. “How are you?”
“A bit tense, to be entirely honest,” he replies, leaning back in his chair. “Are you aware that Prince Hop is of age to participate in the Pokemon tournament this year?”
You nod in affirmation, and he continues.
“Well, of late, he’s been receiving some rather thinly veiled threats, urging him to not participate. Of course, King Leon has been in a real tizzy over it, and we’ve assigned Prince Hop a guard detail to watch over him. Don’t worry-” he laughs when he sees your expression “-I’m not about to assign you to follow a child about.”
You exhale, not even bothering to hide your relief.
“But I hope the prospect of guard duty isn’t too distasteful to you- I know enough of you to know that you’ll go above and beyond to do your duty, no matter what it is, but I do want you to be happy doing it, too,” Sir Raihan regards you warmly, and you might be mistaken, but he almost looks a little wistful.
“The winner of the Pokemon tournament receives the honour of a title, as well as considerable land and a powerful estate. I don’t need to tell you how coveted it is, and how undeterred some people are, even though nobody has been able to beat King Leon in over ten years.”
“Don’t tell me you want me to participate on your behalf,” you joke, and he laughs.
“Nothing of the sort- I only want you to be cheering me on when I beat him,” he grins at you.
“I might as well cut to the chase,” Sir Raihan continues, “the High King has decided that as the reigning champion of the tournament, King Leon is not exempt from the danger of these threats, and the desperation of the sender. He wishes to have a private knight attendant assigned to King Leon, and I volunteered you for the job.”
You sit up straight, eyes wide as Sir Raihan takes in your expression, which you quickly school into a poker face.
“You’ll have to go to Wyndon,” he says softly, “and you will spend most of your waking hours with Leon, a few steps behind him at all times.”
You notice how he dropped the King’s title.
“Very well,” you say. “When am I to leave?”
“Hm? Oh, I expected you to put up just a little bit of a fight,” Sir Raihan says, and his smile is back.
“It will be an honour to serve the King,” you say, “and after all, it can’t be for longer than a season, right?”
“We don’t expect it to be,” he shakes his head. “And even if it is, I’m sure I can add some of our other knights to the rotation after a while. For now… I volunteered you for the job because I think you may be able to benefit from observing the King’s training, and his battles. I want the best for you.”
Your heart warms at this, and you give him a genuine smile as you take the liberty of reaching out and squeezing his hand. Sir Raihan is your superior, yes, but between the two of you, you have a warm and informal friendship that allows you to be candid.
“The other thing is… since it’s a matter of safety, the High King would like you to depart as soon as possible. I will personally escort you to Wyndon,” he says, “and I would advise you to start packing and saying your goodbyes, we’re to leave tomorrow.”
You nod and get up to leave, but before you’re out the door, Raihan calls out to you.
“Oh, and listen! Before you formally assume your position, King Leon would like to battle you. You’re not expected to win in the slightest… but he would like to personally see how you conduct yourself in battle.”
---
You end up leaving that very same evening, saying rushed goodbyes to your contingent, asking Sebastian to write to you, and lugging a heavy and haphazardly packed suitcase. Your Pokemon are all in their Pokeballs, attached to your belt- you know Dreepy would like to float around, but you can’t risk him getting lost on the way to Wyndon, that would be disastrous.
You arrive at the castle at Wyndon at around midnight, and are greeted by servants who usher you and Sir Raihan inside. You notice a slight girl with mousy brown hair trying to pick up your suitcase, and you stop her with a smile.
“I can handle my own luggage, thank you,” you say, trying your best to put warmth into your tone.
She doesn’t protest, returning your smile.
“We are honoured to have you here, Sir Knight,” she says.
You want to reply and ask her name but you and Sir Raihan are rushed further into the castle, and subsequently led to your respective rooms. You bid a quick good night to Sir Raihan, who looks (adorably) sleepy, and finally find yourself in the privacy of your new rooms.
One of your Pokeballs rattles, and you sigh as you release Dreepy into the room. You just know you’ll regret this poor training when he’s evolved into a massive Dragapult, but… you have no excuse, he’s simply adorable.
You like the room itself- it’s not gigantic, but it’s a whole world better than knights’ chambers you share back at home; due to your high rank, you only have to share with one other person, but still. Privacy is privacy and you value it immensely.
You have a desk, a huge chest of drawers, a large gilded mirror. A comfortable single bed is up against a wall, with gorgeous looking sheets, thick covers, and a beautiful tented canopy extending over it.
Despite your hectic day and the late hour, you feel anything but sleepy.
You fiddle with one of your Pokeballs and then finally motion to Dreepy to follow you as you leave the room, heading in the direction of the door to the back garden you were only briefly able to see.
You don’t know if this is a private garden, but the door was unlocked and open, and you take the risk of going out, hoping nobody else is out and about at this late hour. You need the fresh air, you need a few moments of tranquility to clear your head from the events of the day. Only this morning you were out to train in Hammerlocke, expecting to be by Sir Raihan’s side for, oh, maybe forever, and now you were here, with a pokemon battle with the King himself scheduled for the next day.
“Would you like to battle the King?” you ask Dreepy, who sticks his tongue out at you. Still, he is polite enough to headbutt you gently, sensing that you’re not at your happiest.
“It’s an honour, you know,” you go on. “But it’s strange to be so far from home, and to be expected to battle the King, no less? Lose, and then attend him for the next six months? It’s… a bit much to process, Dreep.”
You talk in whispers to Dreepy, spatially aware of the fact that nobody is around to hear you indulge in this odd habit. You are, in fact, unaware that your voice is carrying, and a pair of golden eyes is watching you with curiosity from a window above.
----
so i have half of this series written, and i figured there was no harm in starting to post it and see if you guys like it! I've never been this excited at the idea of writing a multi chap fic, feedback would really be appreciated.

Tis been a long time! Can I request some Raihan, Piers, and Leon bring dads with their s/o. How do they each interact with their respective kid?
Kid hcs are my jaaaaaam
Piers
He is a totally sappy dad
And the anxious dad
And are any of us surprised? We’ve seen him with Marnie.
He probably has twins first, because he wants to be a dad so badly that he manifests two babies instead of one
And he is that dad
He is totally oversupportive
More than that, though, he is protective
100% will cry when his kids go on their Gym Challenge
Also will take advantage of being friends with all the Gym Leaders
Like, all of them are waiting for him to call and be like “DID MY BABIES WIN”
It’s okay though
Team Yell will be there to... support them
And by that I mean “Marnie’s Gym Challenge turned up to 100″
Piers probably tries to follow them too, but is stopped by his S/O
“Piers you can’t follow our child everywhere.”
“Piers I know that’s you, the mask isn’t that good.”
“Piers get back home this instant you absolute noodle of a man.”
Raihan
The chill dad
Raihan is pretty willing to let his kid run around like a wild animal if it makes them happy
I think he probably has a boy first, and he is a trademarked Boy Dad
Will let his son borrow his Pokémon and fight his Gym Trainers
Goodra is particularly fond of him
When Goodra eventually has an egg (fathered by none other than Leon’s Charizard), she gifts it to Raihan’s son, and the lil’ Goomy is his first Pokémon
He’s not really one for battling like his dad when he gets older, though, and prefers just wandering around the region and learning more about Pokémon
100% ends up being Hop’s assistant, and Raihan is his biggest fan (and secretly glad he doesn’t have any competition)
That being said he understands exactly 2% of his son’s academic writings
He still reads them though
Phones up Hop at 2am to ask him what random things mean so he can seem smart over dinner
His son knows but doesn’t call him out on it at all
Leon
Leon is an absolute s u c k e r for his daughter
Like, just picture a little princess wandering around doing her thing
And Leon’s just running around after her because she is definitely walking in a random direction
They both get lost all the time
His S/O definitely gets calls from random places all across the world because Leon followed their daughter somewhere and they just kind of walked and now they’re in the Crown Tundra
“But it’s okay, really, just a bit nippy!”
Probably has his daughter training Pokémon by age five
I don’t think he’d give her a Charizard, because he doesn’t want people comparing her to him
As if they ever would she’s a spitfire
But he still gives her a foreign Pokémon, to set her apart
Probably a Torchic or something, he still has a soft spot for Fire types
She sweeps the whole Gym Challenge without flinching
Leon watches from a distance
But he knows the second she beats Raihan
“This isn’t fair your genes should be banned how can she be this good?”
Legit takes him an hour to calm down
Leon’s dramatic best friend eventually gets over it when Leon reminds him that he’s her godfather
Then he’s like “oh my godbaby is amazing, clearly I taught her well”
This little girl wraps everyone around her finger
Honestly what a legend

SWSH Characters Playing VALORANT because it's the only FPS game I've played
Milo
Skye and Sage. Doesn't play that good, but that's only because he's more comfortable with playing with controller (he usually plays console games with his brother, so he's more used to that) and there's no aim assist in VALORANT. Very good morale and is used to getting backseat gamed because his brother usually tells him what to do. Good game sense, but he cannot turn fast enough because of the controller.
Nessa
Jett and Neon. Autolocks. I'm sorry she just does. She isn't one to demand smokes or heals after she autolocks and tries to not autolock when playing a competitive. She just wants to play her fave agents ;( Loves Jett's voice lines. Tries to not get mad, but she's competitive. Always asks Milo for 1v1s. The type of person to make up callouts: "He's in tomato." "WHERE'S TOMATO????" At least a gold to plat.
Kabu
Phoenix. Asked who the fire guy was. Says there's always gotta be a fire guy. Demands the fire guy. Doesn't actually use Phoenix's utility. Sometimes he tries to, but then he just peeks with his molly out and then dies. Good game sense, does not understand recoil.
Bea
Brimstone. Doesn't play much as she mostly spends her free time training so she doesn't have much time to unlock the other agents. Mostly plays with Allister whenever he asks or on streams. Gets very focused when playing but her skill level fluctuates a lot.
Allister
Omen, KAY/O, and Yoru. Plays Omen for the aesthetic. However, if he ever wants to tryhard he plays KAY/O or Yoru. Too scared to use comms, but he's still somehow low/mid immortal. Sometimes he does just start speaking normal latin sentences in voice if someone's being toxic.
Gordie
Chamber and Breach. Religiously plays Chamber and only Chamber. He needs drip. The type of Chamber to tp away anytime he sees a player, doesn't even shoot. Plays better as Breach but Breach doesn't have drip. It's always very chaotic when playing with him.
Melony
Sova. Has only played the game once and it was for a league stream. Only picked Sova because "He's a nice young man!" Has actually watched a few videos before playing and somewhat knows what she's doing. 'Accidentally' shock darts Gordie when playing on the same team as him.
Piers
Omen and Reyna. Like Allister, he plays Omen for the aesthetic. However, he's pretty good at Reyna too. Laughs maniacally whenever he's playing well, it's both scary and funny. Gets toxic but only to his friends and it's only for shit and giggles. Sometimes gets in a game with randoms and uses comms to only play his guitar as sound effects/background music.
Raihan
Raze. Mains Raze but he usually fills on most games. Baits all his team mates (it's unintentional he swears). Calls Breeze's pyramids left and right tiddy. Uses comms but does get uncomfortable when people get all 😳 with his voice. Good morale and very chill when playing.
Leon
Phoenix. Who else is he gonna play? He has fire and is orange like charizard! Flashes all his team mates, is it intentional? Who knows. Usually plays with Raihan and Piers, but started off playing with Hop. More comfortable with using a controller for the same reason as Milo, but uses mouse and keyboard.
Sonia
Cypher and Killjoy. The type of cypher that monotonely gives you call outs while you are fighting for your life in site. Likes being a little rat and hiding. Sometimes plays Killjoy, but then gets called a nerd. Usually plays alone but is very happy to play with Leon as that's how they hang out most of the time when they're older as Leon's busy. Happy to play with Hop too. Plat 3.
Bede
Jett. At first is reluctant to play (very snobby about it too) but had to join the league stream to play. Never entries and argues about how that's not his job and that another duelist could do it. For some reason just loves flanking. Silver-ish.
Marnie
Viper and Astra. Loves being a little shit. Mollies, concusses, sucks her team mates. Corners Hop when he's trying to do his lineups and then mollies him, it happens a lot. When playing with randoms she goes for "I have a cool trick, stand here." then mollies them. She does not care for winning.
Hop
Sova and Viper. Plays Sova mainly, but can also play Viper. Marnie and he always fight over who gets to play Viper if a smoker is needed. So many lineups it's concerning. Studies and knows all of them. Can make lineups up on spot and it actually lands. Still hardstuck gold.
Gloria
Neon. Does very aggressive plays and is actually good at them. Gives good comms. Will go off on any players being toxic no matter if she's top fragging or bottom fragging and wins the argument every time.
Victor
Sage. Is a pocket Sage for Gloria and Bede. Knows how to do really good sage walls and will get pissed if asked to wall mid. Is in silver but keeps getting matched with immortals. Says he hates VALORANT but keeps playing either way.

Believe it or not I'm very very hesitant and anxious when talking about the ships I have for my au. Both oc x canon and canon x canon, for a multitude of reasons, but! I think it would be beneficial to everyone if y'all knew what are the ships I plan to have here. I'm not going over every single one, just the ones that comes to mind. No oc x oc here only because those are the ones I'm most comfortable talking about, since it's all my canon and my characters. Putting it below cause it's gonna get kinda long.
Cheren x Lear. The fanart got to me lol. I think they're cute.
Bianca x Roxie. My personal rare pair.
Hau x Gladion. It's not immediate,in fact it pretty much takes them years to even recognize they have romantic feelings for each other( like near adulthood years). Though even before that, I think the platonic love between them is just so sweet.
Kukui x Burnett x Guzma. I think Guzma deserves all the love, okay.
Kenji x Silver. The first oc x canon on this list!
I used to plan on shipping Kiran and Barry together, but recently I'm thinking aroace Barry is the Barry I want for my au. Not sure if he's romance averse, or if he's okay with being in a relationship that focuses on it. So, again, they're in a weird limbo, but honestly I might just have them be friends. I'm only adding it to the list cause I needed to get it off my chest hgvhvgvgvcg.
Cynthia x Diantha! Battle moms! Actually, no, I think battle wine aunts are probably a better term for them.
Maybe Cyrus x Saturn? Like honestly there's so much baggage here, and I don't want to make every single reconciliation of ones past turn into a romantic subplot. I do think Saturn has/had the hots for Cyrus tho.
Sycamore x Lysandre. They make me sad :)
Lillie x Amsonia. I already talked about them here. Amsonia and Gladion are wlw mlm hostility.
Short term Alexis x Leon. Long term Leon x Raihan x Piers( unless I change my mind abt Piers but for now he's in the throuple)
Jin x Kohaku x Wally cause I said so. Old people love ( they're 30)
Miguel ( Eva's dad) x Emmet. Old man yaoi
Naomi x Marnie <3. They've always been on my mind but I wanted to focus on the non romantic relationship drama that they had ( cause it's a lot), and like some other ships, they only really start to notice these feelings until way after swsh.
Unless I say otherwise, I don't mind y'all interpreting how I write Hop and Bede as romantic. Truthfully, I actually enjoy the ship, but realistically I can only see it happening way after swsh, when they're both matured and chilled out and are actually friends. So I guess they are ambiguous in my au? Idk. Still gonna focus on their friendship in my writing tho.
Sakura x Adaman and Zero x Volo! Sakura and Adaman actually had kids :3
I don't actually have a canon ship for SV right now. Trust me, I see the potential with some characters ( Ramona and Arven, Ramona and Nemona, Arven and Giacomo, etc), but because of that, and the fact I'm indecisive as hell, there isn't a canon ship for Legendverse! SV. I will still talk about them cause I have brainrot, but nothing is really canon just yet.
Obligatory Steven x Wallace, Red x Blue , Archie x Maxie, you know it, you get it.
And yeah! That's the ships at the top of my head. There's probably loads more that I just haven't thought about or seen haha. Just wanted to be on equal footing with you guys ( and try and gain a little more confidence in speaking about it).

Hey Knight how would you rank the champions based on how chill to aggressive they are when provoked. Could be any of your AUs
Like who be going
“We have your financial information, says you’ve spent 8,000 pokedollars on ____”
“A girl/guy gets to treat herself/himself sometimes”
And who’d just react with threatening the person back (most likely Lance)
Also one more thing I’d like to add about your Body Swap AU, we got Diantha and Leon angst, but imagine Wallace. He’s gotten so used to caring for himself (and his niece) without his parents since he was young, that he probably cries when Cynthia’s grandparents do something remotely nice for him
Mans never had the love he’s always wanted and now Cynthia’s grandma and grandpa are giving him that parental love, even if they don’t know it’s him and think it’s just Cynthia
Ohoh my lil shit Diantha hcs time to shine owo hahahaha
Look, ik the fandom holds Dia in such a high regard, that she's an angel she probs has the patience of a saint, but she is such a lil shit in my hcs. Ofc, she's not gonna actually scream it to the public, if she's gonna do anything she's doing it disguised, if anything she'd let her mons mess w them, let Gengar get info abt them, and she'd blackmail em. She would, that is my truth. She thinks she's not petty, but she will wish harm onto anyone she doesn't like, she honestly pushed someone off the stairs once bc they were pissing her off and no one ever found out it was her. They didn't die, just broke a few bones hahah
The threats, yeah, I feel Cynthia and Lance would, even Iris at a push, bc these two are like her role models let's be real hahaha these three would plan the most meticulous revenge plan party ever and they'd be front row seats watching the one who pissed them off fucking vibing w whatever prank they pulled. Or really, just using their Champion status to scare them, even using their aces. Like, ofc, you'd really go against champions w Pseudo legends as their aces? One of which can mega evolve, the other has a z crystal, and the other can dynamax
Hau and Geeta and Steven are probs really passive. Like I imagine Hau just ignoring it or like really not paying much attention if someone tries to mess w him, thinking it's just some joke, or rather it's a waste of his time. Why ever waste your time engaging in petty arguments when you can just eat malasada right? And then there's Geeta who's probably so used to it by now that she'd really just ignore them and stop Diantha from letting her avenge her in some way. It bothers her sometimes, truth be told, but she really just bury it deep along w the things she doesn't wanna remember anymore. Steven really doesn't bother w them, it honestly just goes into one ear and then goes out the other, like he really doesn't give two shits.
I think Leon just tries to not think abt it. Like yeah they're just messing w him on purpose yknow, there's no need to play along, he's better than that. But the moment someone messes w his partners or Hop, he's gon go batshit. Like, think of someone making fun of Hop, and then there's Leon behind them, looking like he was ready to kill, and Hop had to calm him down bc the person messing w him was on his knees apologizing. Idk, he's the type who doesn't care if he's being messed w, but he's also really protective of the ones he loves, so as long as you don't mess w them, he's just chill hahaha
Wallace would be petty as fuck, but he wouldn't voice it unless someone attacks him first. Like, he would insult you and your entire bloodline and it will hurt. He knows how to break a mfer, he'll go for you clothes, your looks, your background, anything really. He won't stop until he sees them cry and run away from embarrassment and he's there shaking his head, "pathetic."
~~
Anyways on to the body swap au
No bc I have been thinking abt Cynthia and Wallace while drawing them bc there's just cjmxnxnd a lot going on w them I might post more later hahaha
But anyways yeah definitely tho, Wallace would cave in
Like the first day, when he finally composes himself and such, got dressed, went downstairs, and Cyn's family was all there, waiting for him. Carolina smiled at Wallace all "you gave us quite a scare, dear. You know, Bugs can't really hurt you," she softly said, then patting the seat next to her, Wallace sat down. Across him was Cynthia's sister, across her grandmother was her grandfather. It was nice, so to say, they had a quiet breakfast, small talk here and there, then it got to the topic of the Champions.
Her sister looked at Wallace, a smirk on her face, "pfft, how's it going with you and your crush anyways? Finally got Dia the big shot to fall for ya?"
And Wallace shoots back, "oh, doing better, really. I'll be asking her out soon"
"hah! Bet!"
And just cjmdnd ough to him it feels like talking to his own sister again, he misses his own sister so much. And looking at Cynthia's own sister, looking at that fire in her eyes, the way she'd tease and smile and laugh, it reminds him so much of his sister. And his mind drifted off to a thought, a possibility, if his sister was still around, would she get along w the other Champions? His friends? He's sure they'd love her. She was quite a strong Ground type trainer before she retired. Before she passed away..
And then breakfast was done, they're all cleaning up, her sister was off, going to Sandgem town to prof Rowan to help him w research. Wc left Wallace w Cyn's grandparents. And just chmdnd it was so soft yknow, Carolina was there looking up at him, all "you're not gonna follow her, dear?"
"huh..?"
"ah, you and Chandra would always race out the house to get to Sandgem, but maybe you're tired, dear."
"yes, love, Cynthia has been working hard with her Champion duties, plus with all those meetings too, I'm surprised you Champions can handle all that, Thia my dear."
"that's true, well then, worry not dear, you can just rest today, if any person from the league comes here, I'll tell them off," she laughed, then she pulled Wallace close, "you just go and rest, my dear!"
When Wallace went back to Cynthia's room, the dam broke, he was there crying, holding himself close. It was such an experience for him, feeling that kinda love from family. And it hurts him bc his own parents weren't like that, but he wished they were. He wanted to be selfish, just this once, just this once Arceus, he wanted to be selfish and just bask in their love and let them take care of him, even tho he's just pretending to be their granddaughter

Pokespe Chapter 27
It's always a good day to see the royal twins get their asses handed to them! Okay but on a serious note, I really loved this chapter how things are beginning to really fall apart...and Rose thinking everything has been a great success (at first) with Soudo and Piers being all "Bro, are you serious right now?" The conversation had with the (hologram) Rose was very well done, it shows how while Rose may definitely be an antagonist, he's not an outright villain compared to past Pokespe chapters. Plus here his plan feels less haphazard with the mention of the elite task force that is around Galar taking care of the Dynamaxed Pokemon. Plus of course, the mentions of historical revisionism via the royal family intentionally keeping information from leaking to the public was a treat. I say this a lot, but I really wish the historical revisionism aspect got more focus in the base games, so I'm excited to see it get more attention in Pokespe. Now onto the battle, I really loved how the twins actually came up with solid plans to defeat Eternatus, even if it didn't work out entirely in their favor. I know they're really treated as jokes among the fandom so it was nice to show that despite their goofiness they do have a few brain cells at least. I also really loved the scene of Leon and Sonia also using their noggins to deduce what typing Eternatus' typing was. And it was so precious to see that little brotherly moment between Hop and Leon where they do cheek slap thing and study Eternatus’ moves and reactions carefully. I also liked that bit where Raihan mentioned that they couldn't use Pokemon attacks to get through. It's a nice bit of worldbuilding to show how advanced the engineering in the Pokemon World has gotten. But also, like Raihan, what the hell were you doing as a kid? Seeing Rose and Oleana converse about tying to make Eternatus get more power was really chilling. Like Rose stop, you're going to get everyone including yourself killed! And lowkey I laughed at Sordward calling him an upstart celebrity, it was a nice nod to the differences between old money vs new money. But of course, shit got real when they pulled our the rusted sword and shield. I love seeing how Eternatus flinched but then just immediately physically body them, flinging everyone's favorite twins off the tower. Luckily Rose caught them and then immediately went to plan B which was...have Oleana ask everyone they trapped for help (I wonder how that's going to go over i the next chapter). Finally it's nice to see that Schilly will finally be reunited with the last of her Pokemon. I can't wait to see that emotional reunion.
