I loved the cowboy comic so much that I wrote a oneshot for it. https://archiveofourown.org/works/50934235 🥺 your art is BEYOND amazing, ty for the food
INCREDIBLE!!!!!
#billdip#I honestly loved this story start to finish with the ambience and quick pace#hadn't considered the possibility of Bill and Dipper actually working *together* but it's always a good time when they do ❤️#sorry it took so long to reblog 🥲#I read it like- Right when you posted. But I had to catch a plane and then drive an extra hour home and immediately get on zoom for class#and today i was just all around exhausted so i slept roughly 70% of the entire day dndsjdndnd#all that to say that I had your fic in the back of my mind and I very much wanted to set some time aside and re-read it when I got the chan#honestly with how well you set things up I would've loved to see your own rendition of their first kiss#You established their relationship really well at the start and brought them together by the end after outsmsrtong those bandits#it feels like you have a better understanding of who they are to each other than even i do 😌 very much a fan#i love when stories incorporate those sort of 'habits' that the love interests fall into#that confuses character A while character B is so clearly using it as an excuse to get close and spend more time with them#i squealed like a maniac when Bill was like oooph lemme walk you home 😏🤠#sir i am going to wrangle you up if you don't compose yourself#and Dipper's just wary of him because people as handsome as bill used to pick on him 😢#little does he know he's grown into a 10/10 cutie patootie that any cowboy would be stupid NOT to smooch#I'm a simple man. I read oblivious low-confidence cowboy being pursued by a hottie on a horse. I lose my shit#Awesome wonderful writing!!! so happy to have caught your eye and i hope to continue pumping out content for this wonderfully weird ship

I was hoping you can write one with tooth rotting fluff. Maybe about Sirius being insecure because of his messed up home life and James making it his mission to shower him with hugs and praises 🥰
"You're the best person in the world," James says, very seriously, drink in one hand and the other gripping Sirius's shoulder. "You're- blimey, you're the best. Like, out of the entire population on this planet, if one person had to be picked as the best, it would be you."
"I'm not sure you have all the information to properly make that claim," he laughs, causing James to frown.
"No, I'm right."
"Sure about that, are you?"
"Yes, because I've met you! You're awesome. You're so smart, everything you say should be written down for posperi- postert- we should write it all down so we can remember it because it's all right. And you-"
Lily tunes him out as he extols Sirius's virtues and turns to Peter and Remus-- both of whom, she notes, don't look like they've been listening to this from the start. "Is James always like this when he's drunk? Going on and on about how wonderful he thinks Sirius is?"
"Yes," they both say.
"Though, hang on a second," Remus adds. He shifts in his chair to turn towards her. "'When he's drunk' makes it sound like Prongs only does this when he's drunk."
"Mm, yeah, not true. He does this a lot," Peter says.
"Any time he's tired."
"Any time he's in a really good mood."
"Any time Sirius frowns for more than two seconds."
"Okay," Lily interjects when it looks like they'll continue, "I get the picture." Bloody hell. Peter and Remus had to be exaggerating at least a little bit-- otherwise she would've noticed sooner-- but for them to so easily complain about James talking about it, it had to be a more regular occurrence than she originally thought. She wants to pay attention to the drinking game some sixth years are playing like she was doing before James caught her attention, but when she turns to the group, her eyes drift back towards the pair.
James has been talking the entire time-- topic unchanged-- and he's now got an arm around Sirius instead of facing him. The hand holding his drink is curled into Sirius's chest as well, like he needs the extra point of contact to drive his point home.
Sirius is listening with an indulgent smile on his face. This strikes Lily as egotistical, and she frowns.
Remus catches her expression and guesses (incorrectly) what it's over. "If you're waiting for James to be done so you can talk to him, you're going to be waiting a long time."
"Ha, yeah."
*
James rests his chin on Sirius's shoulder and slips his arms around him at the same time. "You want to talk about it?" he asks quietly, aware of their dormmates on the other side of the room.
"Nothing to talk about," Sirius mutters-- a blatant lie.
"Mhm."
He's still glaring at the wall like it's done him wrong.
"You have me, you know that?" James whispers. "No matter what happens or what you do, you're stuck with me." He turns his face into Sirius's hair and inhales deeply. "You couldn't get rid of me if you tried."
"I figured, what with you acting like a bloody barnacle." He doesn't look happy but the glare is gone. Mission accomplished.
*
"Sirius!" James calls, barreling into his friend. He's so happy to see him that he lifts him off his feet, making Sirius laugh. "I missed you so much."
"It's been two hours," Lily says, rolling her eyes.
"Two hours too long, don't you know that, Evans?" Sirius says as he's set back down. "These sodding meetings of yours are killing our friendship."
James gasps theatrically, turning to Lily with wide eyes. "Maybe we can take him with us next time."
"No."
"But I need him! He keeps my brain working."
Sirius nods in agreement, but Lily rolls her eyes. She knows by now that it's useless to argue or try to find any logical reason why that's a bad idea, so she just says, "No," again as she walks up the staircase to the girls' dormitories.
*
"I know I joke a lot, but you know that I think you're great, yeah?" James asks.
Sirius glances over at him, but James's eyes are trained at the sky stretching out above them. They're laying on the Quidditch Pitch, looking at the stars. Ostensibly they came out here to drink; there's a bottle of firewhiskey beside them, but neither have reached for it. They haven't said much of importance tonight, which makes the question feel sudden.
"Like, I make a big production of it and shout it to the world like I'm teasing you, but it's the truth." James rolls his head to the side and meets Sirius's eyes. His hazel eyes are warm, flecked with bits of brown, and Sirius could drown in them, he's sure. He moves his hand, sliding his palm against Sirius's and squeezing. "I'd rather be with you than anyone else."
It feels ridiculous, sometimes, when James talks like this. He means it. He means it in a way Sirius can't wrap his head around. Every good thing he says about Sirius, he believes like it's a fact of life.
This time, Sirius smiles at him and says, "I know." Then, grin widening, he adds, "And I mean it what I say about you, too. Best bloke the world has ever seen."
James laughs. It curls his body a little, and he rolls onto his side to move with it. His hand is still holding Sirius's, and he uses the other to cup his cheek. "Imagine what our wedding vows will sound like."
"Everyone will leave the room before you're done talking about why you want to marry me."
"They can try," James says, his eyes glinting. "I'll ward the doors. No one leaves without my say-so."

Prom
request: Hello! I was wondering if you could do an imagine of reader showing up to the prom after she told everyone she wasn’t going because she heard Hawk’s there alone? Maybe a friends to lovers situation. Please and thank you! ❤️
Tagged: @wishingtobeforeveryoung1994
Word count: 3,414 so uhm.. got carried away with this one lol
Couple: Hawk x F!Reader
Warnings: Lots of fluff is fluff even a warning???, cursing, and uhm..?? I think that’s it!
A/N: thank you for this request! I had a lot of fun writing this! I hope you enjoy! (: ❤️
Ugh, prom. Nothing you loathed more.
Getting dressed up, spending a crazy amount of money on your dress, doing your hair, makeup, and acting like you are just having such a good time when you wish they’d play better music. Oh, and the slow dances? No, thank you! You don’t even wanna go there! Seeing all of the “happy” high school couples trying to grind up on each other trying not to get caught, spoiler alert, they always do. Debating on if you wanna drink the punch because the possibility of it being contaminated with a dangerous amount of liquor is a high possibility. Gosh, how you hated prom.. a total nightmare.
Prom was just a week away and everyone was starting to decorate the gym besides you. You look at the lockers and walls covered in prom posters with the theme being “Great Gatsby” how original..
You walk up to your karate friends, Hawk, Demetri, and Miguel.
“Hey, Y/N! You coming to prom?” Demetri asks and you sigh out of annoyance, “Dude you really think I’m going to prom?”
“Yeah, she has a point. I mean c’mon number one she’s single and number two she hates school functions,” Miguel explains.
“What does her being single have to do with it?” Hawks voice is tinted with anger.
“Why would you wanna go to prom without anyone, man?” Miguel looks at Hawk, “I mean seriously. What’s the point of going if you have no one to slow dance with?”
Demetri lays his hand on Hawks shoulder and says, “Miguel, lay off man”
Miguel shrugs his shoulders and looks at you, “Since my points are invalid,” he gives Hawk the side eye and continues, “What’s your reasoning then?”
“Nah, you’re right. I hate school functions.”
Miguel swings his head towards the boys and smirks, “See? Told you.”
“Whatever man” Hawk shakes his head and walks away from the group.
You watch him walk away knowing that he’s pissed. You could just tell by the way his shoulders were back and his entire body looked tense.
“Hey! You’ve got something on your face there!” Miguel says.
You reach up to feel your face to figure out where that something was, “What? Where?”
Demetri and Miguel look at each other and start laughing as Miguel says, “Oh, it’s just drool.. nothing to worry about!”
“Oh! Ha-ha aren’t you so damn funny” your voice drips with sarcasm.
Even though you can’t deny that Hawk gets a rise out of you. You’ve liked him for a very long time now and you constantly thought about him when you were away from him. He was one of your best friends so you couldn’t ruin that.
“Why don’t you just ask him out?” Demetri asks.
“Listen, I don’t like Hawk! Gross. As a friend he’s awesome but nothing more guys.”
They both look at each other with extreme doubtfulness and they both say, “mhmm sure”
The bell rings and you all gotta get to class. You’re walking down the hallway glancing at the classroom windows hopefully to catch a glance of Hawk but to no avail as you reach your science class. The entirety of class you couldn’t help but think about him. Why did he get so mad about what Miguel said? You were sure Hawk was going to prom because all of his friends were and for some odd reason he likes to be involved in things; probably the whole alpha male in him just wanting to control things.
Class ends and you walk out of class only to bump into Hawk.
“Oh shit, Y/N are you okay?”
“Haha yeah! I’m fine,” you squat down to pick up your books as Hawk squats down to get at eye level with you.
“Are you really not going to prom?”
“Nope. I just don’t really see the point, you know? I would rather just be at home,” you sigh.
Hawk gives you a disappointed look, “it sure would be fun if you came though! Hang out with us all night,” he chuckles.
“Oh yeah, watch you guys get wasted on the punch and me be the designated driver,” you and Eli stand up and start walking down the hallway.
“Oh c’mon! Don’t be such a Debbie downer,” he says almost laughing at the expression you give him.
“Why do you want me to go so bad?”
“Because I think it’ll be fun to hang out with all of my friends on prom night.”
You roll your eyes, “Eli, you’re so cheesy!” You reach out and gently slap his shoulder. His eyes widen and you can tell there’s a slight blush from where you touched him but you decided to chalk it up as hormones.
“But no, I don’t think I’m gonna go. I just.. I don’t really feel like it.”
“Okay, dude. But just in case you change your mind I’m spiking the punch with vodka.”
You shake your head and smile, “Alright, mental note made.”
“I’ll see you later, Y/N!” Hawk runs down the hallway to catch up with Demetri for lunch.
Did Hawk just blush at you? No way. He might’ve just been hot or something; well hot is a word for it. You couldn’t help but admire him in a way. He was so courageous and spontaneous. You could never be like that being too afraid of screwing something up. But another weird thing was him begging you to go to prom. Why did he want you to go so badly? That just made absolutely no sense to you. Besides, it’s a week til. Even if you wanted to go there’s no way you could find something perfect in that amount of time. Stupid.
You decide to eat outside today and enjoy the sun. You take a seat at a picnic table as you overhear a group of girls talking about the prom, you roll your eyes and almost put in your earbuds until you hear, “Oh my gosh! You haven’t heard about Hawk?” Your ears perk up.
“He doesn’t have a date to the prom yet!”
“No way! You’re kidding!”
“Apparently, no one has asked him yet—“
“No, no! I heard that he’s turning down anyone that asks him”
“Why?”
“I dunno.. I just heard that from Jen.”
You shake your head at the gossip. There’s no way he’d turn someone down as his prom date, you know him too well, at least you think. But why is he wanting to go alone? Has no one really not even asked him? I mean, even Demetri got a date! Why not Hawk? You frown at the thought of a lonely Hawk at prom.
Fuck. You can’t let him go alone… you’re gonna have to get a dress! But your fashion taste is definitely not up to par with the other girls around here. It’s time to enlist Sam!
You send her a message, “Hey, are you busy tonight?” You put down your phone and continue eating your lunch until you hear a buzz.
“No. Miguel has a ton of homework to do so I’m free. What’s up?”
You can’t believe you’re about to message this to her, but you type it out anyway, “I need you to help me find a dress for prom! But don’t tell anyone I’m coming because it’s gonna be a surprise, okay?” It wasn’t even a minute until Sam messages back, “Yay! Girls trip! We can take my car! Are you gonna surprise your loverboy Hawk?”
You roll your eyes, “Please don’t call him that but yes. See you later.”
You finish your lunch and wait for your last two classes to get over with. Time seemed to never tick away when you were excited for something. But the time finally came along and you walked to Sam’s car as you gave her a hug and hopped into the passenger seat.
“Okay, Y/N! It’s not a dress you need to worry about. You need to get your nails done, makeup done, and hair done. The works!”
You try to stop yourself from sighing but you still managed to get out a slight groan, “Sam, can we just focus on the dress for now?”
“Ugh fine. But you’re at least getting your hair and makeup done, okay?”
“Okay, Sam,” you laugh.
You all pull up to one of the best thrift stores in town and on a mission.
Sam rubs her hands together and gets this very intense look on her face, “Y/N, what’s your favorite color?”
You get nervous about your answer because what if she didn’t approve of your answer? Man, this girl is totally intimidating.
“I honestly don’t really have one. Maybe… purple?”
“Oh my gosh! You’ll look amazing in purple! Plus, it would match Hawks hair,” she wiggles her eyebrows at you causing you to roll your eyes.
You and Sam split up and start searching different racks in the store looking at different dresses and you trying them on.
With each dress Sam seemed to always disapprove of them,
“Too bulky”
“Too bright”
“Too frumpy”
“Really? Lace?”
“Too many ruffles”
It seemed like the search was never gonna end. You had to at least have tried on 20 dresses! You were starting to get overwhelmed and frustrated.
“Sam, we have to eventually pick one!”
“I know we do. We have to find the perfect dress. I mean this could be your night!” She almost starts to wiggle her eyebrows again until you point at her and say, “Please don’t do that face again”
“Oh my…”
“Oh my what?”
Sam pulls a dress off the rack that is the perfect hue of purple that you needed. The dress was long and flowy with a sweetheart neckline and jewels adorned the waistband that tied in the back. The back was a corset fit so it would fit you just right. You went straight and tried it on with the help of Sam lacing you up.
“This dress is—“
“Absolutely beautiful,” you smooth your dress down and smile, “Sam I love it.”
“Hawk is gonna freak!” Sam jumps up and down which causes you to sigh.
You decide to get the dress and set up your appointment to get your hair and makeup done.
You wake up the next Saturday ready to jump in the shower and get to your appointment. You get out, dry off, and put on your button up plaid shirt with some jeans and head out the door. You walk into the salon that’s filled with some of the other high school students waiting to get their hair done as well. You were excited but in a way you felt out of place there. They take you back to get your makeup done first. You tell the makeup artist the color of your dress and the look you’re going for. She chooses to do your makeup with neutral tones because you weren’t sure about purple eyeshadow. You decided to leave your hair in loose curls just an all around natural look.
You get back home and get your dress out nervous about putting it on. You can’t believe you’re gonna surprise Hawk like this. This is completely nerve wracking… What if he ended up with a date to the prom? Or what if he just wants to be friends? You try to stop thinking about the negatives. But you couldn’t help them circling around in your mind. Well, it’s time to put your dress on. You get your mother to help you lace it up and of course she wants to take pictures which you just smile and bear it.
Sam and Miguel show up to your place to pick you up and you quickly run out to get into the car.
“Hey guys!” You say as your dress flows in the slight breeze.
“Wow, Y/N you look amazing!” Sam claps her hands and smiles
“You’re definitely going to shock a few people that’s for sure,” Miguel shrugs his shoulders, “but like in a good way!”
You chuckle, “Thanks. You look beautiful, Sam! And you clean up nice Miguel, look at you,” you place your hands on both of their shoulders.
The rest of the ride there was mostly quiet besides Miguel and Sam making conversation while you started to get into your own head and overthink things.
You all arrived to the prom fashionably late but you didn’t care. You were too nervous and excited to care. You three got out of the car and you face Sam with a look of complete anxiety. She takes your hands in hers and she says, “It’s gonna be okay. He loves you, Y/N”
You look at her confused, “What?”
Miguel looks at Sam with wide eyes and she answers, “Uh.. nothing. Go get him, tiger!” You decided to let that go and get mentally prepared.
You take a deep breath and start to walk in. You find the gym with Miguel and Sam and you three make your entrance. The entrance to the gym was decorated with silver, gold, and black balloons with black and gold streamers. The tables had silver tablecloths laid over them with the punch table having a green tablecloth, “hm.. original”, you thought.
All of your friends greeting you all while simultaneously being surprised you actually came. You greeted them back just to be nice but you were on a mission tonight. You start scanning the gymnasium for Hawk but for some reason you can’t find him.
Miguel lightly hits your arm and you look at him, “He’s right over there. Sitting on the bleachers!”
There he was. All alone. Looking… sad. He looked like he was missing someone. Why was he all alone? Did no one honestly not ask him to the prom?
“Okay guys… here goes.”
“Whoo! Get it, girl! I’m rooting for you!” Demetri lightly shouts at you. You give him a small smile and start walking towards Hawk. You try to fight your way through the crowd and seemingly almost drunk students. Many girls saying, “I love your dress” and many boys giving you looks that you weren’t used to; but you ignored them as you powered through to get to Hawk. He seemed to be daydreaming… in total outer space because he didn’t necessarily notice you at first until you yell, “Hey, purple boy!”
Jumping from you yelling he looks at you and it felt like you two were in a movie; like you were the only ones there. Everything seemed to slow down and you looked into his eyes and his jaw began to drop at the sight of you.
“Y/N! You came!” Hawk stands up and picks you up, embracing you.
“Whoa, whoa, down boy! Watch the dress” you laugh.
“I am so happy you came! This is awesome!”, he beams at you, “you look so fucking beautiful.” Your face grows hot and if the gym wasn’t dim he would’ve seen you glow like a tomato.
“Not so bad yourself, dude.” You elbow his arm softly.
“I can’t believe you came! I mean why?”
“Because I heard a certain someone needed a date,” you smile at him.
He stops in his tracks cold and says, “Wait… because of me?”
“Yeah, it was in the rumor mill that nobody asked you and I just thought it’d be a perfect opportunity—“
“Opportunity for what?”
“For me to officially ask you this,” you grab his hand and squeeze it, “will you go to prom with me, Eli Moskowitz?”
He lets out a nervous laugh, “I mean… yeah of course! As friends, right?” Your world starts crashing down upon you. He still wanted to be friends. He didn’t want anything more and you knew it. You weren’t stupid. You just got so caught up in this fantasy… but you say fuck it! You don’t care. You need to let it out.
“No. I mean maybe something more?” Your palms start to get sweaty and pull away from his hands. He looks off in the distance behind you studying on what the right thing to say would be. He doesn’t know how to reciprocate his feelings towards you. He felt the same but… he always thought you only wanted to be friends and it was hard for him to come clean about wanting to be more this time. He could always be vulnerable with you and trust you but he didn’t know why he couldn’t just tell you that he could be possibly in love with you. You just looked so beautiful tonight. You looked like you had a glowing aura behind you and he couldn’t help but be intimidated by your light. But he takes a deep breath, “I thought you’d never ask.” In a spontaneous gesture he grabs you and kisses you. You automatically kiss him back; you two have wanted this for long and now it is finally happening. You and Hawk have finally grown a pair and got together. The kiss was filled with so much passion and want for each other but you pulled apart when you saw your friends walking up. Before they get to you Hawk quickly asks, “So, does this mean we could be boyfriend and girlfriend now?” And you just nod your head with excitement.
“Yes, of course! You mean so much to me, Eli.” Hawk couldn’t help but kiss you again… Demetri, Miguel, and Sam all walk up to you guys and whistle at you all, “Get a room!” Hawk and you both laugh.
“You know, it doesn't seem like such a bad idea.” You say jokingly and Hawk looks at you with a huge smile, “What has gotten into you, girlfriend?”
“Whoa, we’ve already gotten to the girlfriend stage?” Demetri asks.
“C’mon we’ve been friends for years! I’m sure we know each other well enough by now to be boyfriend and girlfriend.” You both look at each with love in your eyes.
You, Hawk, and your friends enjoy the rest of prom together and decide to drink some spiked punch, dance, and joke around all night. Hell, you even enjoyed the slow dances with your now boyfriend, Hawk. It felt good to have his arms around you and to have him close to you in a non-platonic way. You couldn’t believe he was now yours. Hawk is yours. And you are his. After all of these years of crushing on each other and repressing it, you two are officially together. Hawk and you decide to skip the after party at Stingray’s and go to Hawks place. You told your mom that you were gonna spend the night with Sam.
When you get back to his house you go up to his room and you both sit on his bed and you take a sigh of relief, “holy shit! What a night.”
“Yeah, I know right. I honestly can’t believe you actually like me.”
You lean back on your elbows, “Oh, like you never noticed?”
“I mean I totally noticed the way you would stare at me with sooo much love in your eyes like I was the only man for you,” he starts to crack up.
“Oh, you suck! Hilarious that you call yourself a ‘man’ that’s the real joke here!” You start laughing and Hawk joins in with you.
“Wow, you truly are the worst, aren’t you?” He leans over and pecks you on the cheek.
“C’mon on the cheek?”
“Yep. That’s all you’re getting for tonight. You’ve bruised my ego!” You laugh again and lay all the way down as Hawk joins you and you both take a minute staring at the ceiling just taking in the moment.
Hawk breaks the silence, “hey, uh, I just wanted to thank you for showing up tonight. It really meant a lot.” “Of course! Anything for you… anything for my boyfriend.” You both can’t help but smile at each other.
The rest of the night you guys decide to have a movie night with snacks and endless amounts of popcorn until you both pass out in each other’s arms.
You wake up the next morning and see Hawk still asleep and you stare at him taking in all of his features. You adored him and he adored you. You truly couldn’t believe that he was all yours.
“Like what you see?” Hawk barely opens his eyes to look at you and you kiss him good morning.
You couldn’t believe this was real. You had waited for so long.
Man, what a night. Such a wonderful night.

The future still wasn't perfect in Takemichi's eyes. Sure, most of the people he tried saving survived but there still was no happy ending for any of them. And once again, Hinata had been killed.
It was confusing him. Surely he had made sure that everything was fixed in the past? What was he missing that could have caused another bad future. The blond had even asked Chifuyu about any events that could be coming up that would cause Mikey to turn out the same as he had every other future. Was it Kisaki? But Kisaki had been fired from Toman.
Chifuyu could not offer much information, after all, he did not know the future and Mikey hadn't declared a war on any other gangs since last time Takemichi had gone back. So there was no luck in that department. Maybe they were both overlooking something small that would be massive in the future?
Takemichi was sort of thankful that he had been called up about the Toman meeting that was happening that night. He could find his answer there, he was sure. After all, each meeting he had gone to so far had provided him with an idea of what was going to happen.
He had arrived at the shrine earlier than most other members. The only ones he really knew that had arrived were Draken, Mitsuya and Chifuyu considering that was who he hitched a ride with. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary except Mikey wasn't with Draken as he usually would be.
Curiosity had gotten the better of the young Toman, he had went to ask Draken where the captain was. Draken simply pointed over to a gathering of trees, explaining that Mikey could usually be found there before meetings start. That seemed to only make the boy's curiosity worse, wondering what Mikey could be doing in the cover of the trees.
He couldn't be meeting up with Kisaki still, could he? Is that why the future was not getting any better? Panic filled Takemichi as he approached the trees. If he was talking with Kisaki then that could be his only chance to stop it and create the perfect future he wanted!
It was as he was getting closer that he heard what he thought was two voices talking quietly. Not quiet enough where it could be considered whispering but enough where Takemichi couldn't make out the words being exchanged. He could tell one of them was definitely Mikey but the other could have been anyone. Had Mikey decided to ally himself with someone even more dangerous than Kisaki was proving to be? After all, nobody in Toman had been able to see Mikey in the future so it could be possible.
Trying his best to hide himself from Mikey, Takemichi peeked his head around to find a sight that made his cheeks flush a dark red. Mikey had both hands against a tree trunk with an absolute hottie between them. At first, it seemed a little alarming for the younger blond until he had noticed the soft smile and blush that dusted your features.
It was only when Mikey leaned down to press a kiss to your lips that Takemichi had felt he was overstaying his welcome. Especially since he wasn't really welcome in the first place. He was simply a creepy peeper at that moment. Why did he keep ending up in these types of moments that made him look like a creep?! First it was with Emma and now he was essentially watching his captain make out with his girlfriend.
"I love you, Mikey." Your voice was breathless from that kiss, your eyes sparkling as they stared into your lover's dark ones. It was obvious to anyone that you were both so in love with each other. Hell, you were sneaking off together at any moment you could find just to be all lovey dovey with each other.
"I love you more, Y/N."
Takemichi had caught that small snippet of your conversation as he was trying to silently walk away. He really didn't want to be caught by the Invincible Mikey staring at the loving exchange after all. But it did get him thinking. Had you ever been mentioned in the future? Surely if you were this in love, you would remain by Mikey's side forever?
The Toman meeting started as it usually did. You would be sat on the stairs while your boyfriend would address the issues related to the gang. Everyone knew who you were, you would always be at the meetings after all unless you had to attend to other business. That would explain why Takemichi hadn't seen you. You must have been attending to other things every meeting that the blond went to. All throughout the meeting, Takemichi could only try and recall if you're present in some way in the future. Surely you would still be hanging around with the same people 12 years later.
He would have to contact Naoto in the future as soon as he could. After all, if there was something big that was going to happen then he would want to find out as soon as he could. And so, as soon as the meeting was finished, he made his way to the Tachibana household to find young Naoto.
"So, how did it go? Were you able to change anything?" That was the first thing Naoto asked once Takemichi had woken up. It was the same routine each time. Naoto would ask if he had changed anything, knowing that it wasn't enough since Hinata was still dead. But maybe if something had changed, they were a little bit closer to finding out what was causing this chain of reactions.
Takemichi shook his head and then dived headfirst into his question. He had asked if you were ever mentioned in one way or another. Maybe if you were still alive, something must have happened between you and Mikey which he could prevent from occurring. Just thinking back on how in love you both were with each other, he was beginning to doubt that it was a simple break up.
It had taken the two males a full hour until your name had popped up in their searches. It really didn't help that Takemichi only knew your first name and that you would hang out with Toman. The news article had filled the computer screen, a photo of you smiling in the top corner of the page. It gave off a vibe that didn't match the contents of the article.
You had been stabbed 15 times in the chest and stomach during a gang brawl between Toman and a gang Takemichi hadn't heard of yet. You were rushed to the hospital but had died before the doctors could reach you. It stated that it was a boy named Manjiro Sano that had brought you in.
It all started to make sense now. You had been caught up in the brawl and had sustained injuries that had ended your life. So Mikey had lost himself when you had died in his arms as he tried his best to save you.
Takemichi checked the date on which you had died. 2 days from today. Why wasn't this brawl mentioned at the Toman meeting?! Did Mikey keep it a secret or was it a spontaneous confrontation? Takemichi could only guess it was the second option. Especially since the brawl would take place at Toman's meeting spot at the shrine.
"I need to save Y/N from dying. That is what we were missing! If she survives, Mikey won't lose another piece of himself." And with that, the handshake that activated the time leaping had taken place.
Takemichi had explained his plan to Chifuyu. Explained how there would be a brawl the next day at the shrine and how that is possibly the trigger for the bad futures. After all, Mikey might stay sane with you by his side. Chifuyu couldn't believe what he was hearing. A gang would have the balls to enter the meeting place of Toman just to start a fight? They must either hold a huge grudge against them or were just plain insane. No gang was to ever enter another gang's meeting spot as it was seen as sacred.
The blond had vowed that he would do anything he could to protect you from harm and ultimately save Mikey from his dark future. Even if he had to glue himself to your side, he would make sure nothing happened to you. He would make up for the time he had failed to save Baji.
You and Mikey continued with your routine. Enter the tree clearing and spend some quality time together. You both exchanged kisses, splitting the dorayaki you would keep on you for your boyfriend, and joking around. Everything a couple in love should do.
The day of the brawl had arrived and so had the rival gang. It was in the middle of Mikey addressing his gang that the opponent's had arrived. The shock was quickly erased as the fighting began. Mikey had made sure you stayed close behind him so he could keep you safe, even though you could fight. Maybe not as well as most of the Toman members but you were capable of keeping yourself safe.
Takemichi scanned the entire shrine area in search of you. Relief had briefly enveloped the middle schooler. After all, if Mikey was with you, nobody could touch you. Or that's what everyone had thought. You had been separated from Mikey as soon as the gang members discovered you were cared for deeply by him. They had thought that if they got you, they could win the fight.
It was if the world was entering slow motion. Takemichi tried to push his way to where you were being dragged, the determination to save everyone being his main driving force. Mikey had yet to notice you were no longer behind him, too focused on taking out the leader and winning the brawl so he could take you home where you would be safe. However, that plan was quickly becoming less likely.
"Shit! Move out of my way!" Takemichi had panic pumping throughout his veins. If he couldn't get to you in time, there was no second chance. It was times like this that made him realise just how human he was. He was one boy, not a God. He could only do so much. But he was sure as hell gonna try and save you.
"Y/N!" Takemichi's voice carried across the entirety of the battlefield. So much so that everyone had frozen, especially Mikey. He turned his gaze to behind him where he thought you were only to find you were missing. Frantic, his dark eyes scanned the area until they rested on you being held against your will. The boy who held you had his arm across your neck, squeezing so you couldn't call out to your boyfriend. However, it was the knife that he pointed to your chest that had Mikey scared.
Takemichi was the only person who didn't freeze, pushing his way past the bodies that stood like statues. He could make it! He could save everyone with this one action! He was convinced that this was why Mikey had given into his dark impulses and why no-one could get their happily ever afters.
He was too late. The knife had pierced through your chest, narrowly missing any vital organs. This had seemed to spur the younger blond to increase his speed, trying to keep in mind that you could survive if he kept the stabs to a minimum. After all, the news article had explained how you had been stabbed 15 times. One was fixable. One he could deal with.
Mikey couldn't seem to move. His love had been stabbed. For no other reason than they were there and sticking by him. This wasn't fair. You had nothing to do with what the problem was and you shouldn't be paying the price for it either.
It felt like an eternity for Takemichi to reach where you were. His legs were screaming at him to stop and his heart was beating a million miles a minute. In the time it took him to get to you, you had sustained another two stabs in your stomach and chest. The person doing it was nothing short of a monster. He didn't care that you were innocent or that you were a girl. He just continued his mission.
The sound of skin to skin contact echoed, a sickening crack following along. Takemichi had landed the hardest punch he could muster against the side profile of the monster. The crack was the jaw breaking underneath the force. You were released as the perpetrator stumbled backwards, falling as he lost consciousness. Takemichi had made it but he wasn't confident that it was in time. He couldn't help but watch as you smiled and fell sideways. Fueled simply by the adrenaline, he had carefully picked you up in his arms before starting his journey to the hospital.
Draken had been the one to snap Mikey out of his daze, telling him to get his bike. There was no way that Takemichi would get there in time if he was simply thinking of running. And so that's what Mikey did. He fired up his precious bike, ordering the young blond to climb onto the back before speeding his way to the closest medical facility.
Due to all of this, you had survived. Takemichi had succeeded in saving you and thus saving Mikey. There was a possibility that the future would be good this time.
Once he had heard you were alive and doing well, Mikey had finally let himself react. Tears fell one after the other down his cheeks and relief had lifted his heart. He wouldn't lose you. You were alive because of Takemitchy. That is something Mikey couldn't thank the younger blond enough for. He had saved your life when Mikey could do nothing but watch.
Everyone expressed their gratitude for Takemichi. After all, they couldn't imagine what Mikey would turn out like if he had lost you during that fight. Takemichi had an idea but wasn't about to spill what the future he knew was like. Speaking of which, he did wonder how this had affected his future. Would everyone finally have their happy endings? He sure did hope so.
As soon as Naoto had shook his hand, Takemichi had found himself sitting at a table with a can of beer in his hand. Confused on what was going on, he glanced around at his surroundings. He was currently in a home that looked nothing like his apartment. Photos of a couple he vaguely recognised littered the walls, there was the scent of takeout wafting in the air, and the noise was loud yet joyful.
A few days later, Takemichi decided to head back to where he belonged. 12 years in the future. You had been discharged from the hospital and probably on a date with Mikey as he approached the Tachibana residence. Thinking about it, Mikey had seemed to brighten up more ever since you had been allowed out of the hospital. Takemichi laughed as he recalled Mikey buried under a large bouquet of your favourite flowers and a giant plushie of your favourite animal on that day. You had simply laughed before peppering the Toman leader's face in kisses. You had also planted a peck on the younger boy's cheek as a sign of how grateful you were to him. After all, if Takemichi hadn't done any of that, you wouldn't be able to spend anymore time with Mikey. You owed him your life.
That's when Takemichi realised he had done it. Hinata was chatting happily with Yuzuha and Hakkai about their experiences in Europe; Mitsuya, Smiley and Angry were laughing about some inside joke no-one knew about; Pah-chin and Peh-yan were discussing business relating to the real estate agency; Kazutora and Inui were drinking in the corner, simply observing the festivities; and Draken was chatting away happily to Mikey, his arm around Emma's waist as she tried to soothe their baby. Takemichi had saved them all. They were all OK. Most of all, Hinata was alive.
"Anyone needing any refills?" your voice trailed in from where you stood in the doorway connecting the living room and kitchen. You looked almost the same except for a few features. Takemichi knew at that moment that this was the perfect future for everyone, especially when Hinata had come over and kissed his cheek. The discussion around the room had suddenly become one as everyone spoke about the upcoming weddings between you and Mikey as well as the one between Takemichi and Hinata. For the first time in a long time, Takemichi could let go of the weight he had carried around and enjoy his life with his friends and his fiancé.

masterlist
Tumblr media
“Oh, Y/n! Thank goodness you’re here!” Wanda sighed out dramatically when you entered her house, a relieved expression found her face as soon as she saw you. “Would you mind helping Pietro pick up the twins from school? I’d let him do it himself but I’m afraid he’ll load them up on sugar again.” She asked exhaustively and you had to giggle, Pietro did have a tendency to get the boys hyper only to dump them on Wanda.
“Course I’ll chaperone. What’re you up to?” You questioned, taking in the disaster that was Wanda’s kitchen. Eggs and flour painted the kitchen counters and the doors of the cabinets.
Wanda let out an airy laugh, “Oh, you know, just some light baking. Dottie asked me to whip something up for the neighbourhood bake sale!”
Slowly, you nodded your head, biting the inside of your cheek to stop yourself from laughing, “Right. Well is Pietro around? We should get going soon.”
“Right here, sweetheart.” Pietro sounded, appearing by your side out of nowhere. You jumped slightly at his sudden appearance, causing the man in question to chuckle happily to himself.
Wanda caught herself smiling at the two of you as you bickered, making your way towards the front door, only pausing to shout a quick, “Good luck with the baking, Wanda!”
When the door shut Pietro leaned close to you whispering, “She doesn’t need luck she needs a damn miracle. That kitchen is a war zone.” You nodded your head in agreement, shoving him away from you with a light giggle.
“Shut up, Pietro. She’s trying her best.” You defended his sister through a laugh.
The silver haired boy groaned, pulling a hand through his hair and fixing you with a half hearted glare, “How many times do I have to tell you to call me Peter?”
The pair of you were walking alongside each other as you shrugged your shoulders, “Your name is Pietro, though.” You stated matter of factly.
“I prefer Peter.” He whined, pouting his lips childishly while bumping his shoulder against yours.
Again, you let out a laugh, “Ok, fine. I’ll call you Peter, you big baby.” You bumped his shoulder right back.
Peter grinned triumphantly, a cocky expression on his face as he threw an arm casually around your shoulder as the two of you continued walking until you reached the school.
Once the pair of you reached the gates you noticed a very disapproving teacher with her hand firmly grasping Billy and Tommy by their shoulder on either side of her. You shared a look of confusion with Peter before making your way towards the boys.
“Mr and Mrs Maximoff, I assume?” The teacher spoke, her gaze scrutinising the arm Peter had around your shoulder, before you could correct the women Peter placed an unnecessarily loving kiss against your cheek and stared at the woman with a proud grin.
“Yep, that’s us! We’re so in love, right babe? Can’t keep her hands off me, how do you think we bagged those two?” He rambled suggestively, gaining a jab in the ribs from you and a disgusted look from the teacher.
Your cheeks were burning and you managed an apologetic smile, “Is there a problem?”
“These two have been having some… behavioural issues.” The elderly woman told you hesitantly and Peter responded with a shocked laugh.
“Our boys? Behaviour issues? I don’t know lady, seems out of character- Ow Y/n!” He yelped when you elbowed him in the ribs, effectively cutting him off.
Finally, the teacher released the twins who walked with their heads hung low into yours and Peter’s waiting arms, Billy tucking himself under your arm and muttering a quiet, “Tommy started it, Y/n.”
With a small sigh you ruffled his hair before returning your attention to the exhausted woman before you with yet another apologetic smile, “I’m terribly sorry about that. They take after their father. I’ll make sure that it doesn’t happen again.” Peter pouted at your statement and the teacher nodded, satisfied with your answer and quickly walked away from the four of you.
“You two have some serious explaining to do.” You muttered, leading them out of the school yard.
“Yeah what’d you two little demons do exactly?” Peter asked accusingly although you could tell he was excited to hear the answer to his question.
Tommy shot into a story about how he was using his powers and Billy was ruining his fun and the teacher ended up getting caught in their crossfire, “It was awesome!” He finished excitedly while Billy grew increasingly nervous at your side.
Peter was busy encouraging Tommy’s bad behavior, finally removing his arm from your shoulder to race the boy in question up and down the sidewalk while you comforted Billy.
“We’re not really mad at you, you know.” You stated, ruffling his brown mop affectionately. At your words Billy stared up at you, doe eyes filled with worry.
“Are you gonna tell mom?” He fretted and you laughed, shaking your head reassuringly.
“My lips are sealed.” With that a happy smile returned to his face.
He gave your torso a quick squeeze before running to catch up with his speedster brother and uncle. After a second Peter had appeared back at your side, his arm returning to its previous spot around your shoulder and he pulled you into his side.
Peter released a dreamy sigh, eyes set ahead watching as the twins roughhoused, “They grow up so fast.”
You hummed in agreement, lazily wrapping your arm around his waist, “That they do, Mr Maximoff.”
“We make a pretty hot married couple, Mrs Maximoff.” He commented, a sly smirk on his lips as he watched your cheeks heat up and a scoff leave your lips.
“Yeah, in your dreams.” With that you shrugged his arm off and strutted ahead of him, not bothering to look back as he whined out behind you.
“Aw come on, Y/n! We’d be so cute and you know it!”

Traffic Jam Session
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x Female!Reader
Word Count: +1.5K
Warnings: Nat being ridiculously confident and flirtatious? I think that deserves a warning. This is just pure self-indulgent fluff.
Summary: Stuck in a traffic jam, another commuter requests that you turn your music up
Inspired by this meet-cute prompt:
We are caught in an extreme traffic jam and have been sitting next to each other, parked, for the last five minutes. Your radio is playing my absolute favorite song so I ask you to turn it up. We spend the rest of the slow traffic aggressively singing along to the music at each other.
Prompt list found here
A/N: I tweaked the prompt just a little, hope it's still enjoyable. This was so much fun to write!
Thank you to @river-soul for her incredible beta skills and endless patience 😭❤️ and @whisperlullaby for workshopping with me 💗

It's a decently warm day, sunny and clear, and the azure blue sky is dotted sparsely with clouds. A breeze blows through the car windows, playing with the feathers on your dreamcatcher hanging from the rearview mirror while you're stuck in traffic. You had been creeping along for the better part of 20 minutes, but you've been at a standstill now for almost five.
Typically one to drive home in silence to decompress, today the stillness and lack of road noise makes you want to turn on some music instead. Since nothing playing on the local stations feels right, you sync your car Bluetooth with your phone and scroll through your music streaming apps. A playlist you made simply entitled "Happy" seems to fit your mood and the gorgeous weather so you press Shuffle All and settle back in your seat.
The soothing, light-hearted Put Your Records On filters through the speakers and you can't help the smile that curves your lips as you close your eyes. Propping your arm on the window, head on your hand, you bask in the sun's warmth. You periodically crack open an eye to check on the car in front of you but there's no change. Everyone on the road has parked and resigned themselves to the long wait.
Your playlist contains a wide variety of genres, cherry-picked songs that unfailingly lift your mood. They're radio hits, usually well-known songs, and easy to sing along with. You happily bop your way through your playlist, getting a little more energetic, singing along to each song.
Walking on Sunshine just finishes and the next song is cueing when you hear a sweet voice ask lowly, "Do you mind turning it up a little?" You grin and twist the volume knob so I'm Gonna Be (500 miles) plays louder before looking to the eavesdropper that's enjoying your tunes.
Holy shit. How did you not notice the car next to you? There is no way they were there the whole time. They're all beautiful. Two men, two women - blondie is driving, two brunettes are in the back seat, and a redhead is in the passenger seat. She was the one that spoke and she grins gratefully, leaning closer, head tilted out the window. You turn it up a little more as she starts singing along.
You grin widely and start singing with her. Her companions in the car laugh and join in good naturedly, cheering as the two of you belt the call-and-answer part of the song.
When the song ends, you're both breathlessly laughing, smiles wide. You turn your stereo volume down even as the next song starts to play and stretch out for a high five. She gives your hand a satisfying slap as she laughs joyfully.
"That was so fun! Thank you so much, I love that song."
"I do too! You're a great partner! And the back-ups were awesome!" You playfully finger-gun point at the driver and backseat passengers. They cheerfully laugh and thank you. You don't remember the last time you smiled this hard.
"I'm glad you didn't mind - I could barely hear it. I had Steve try to get closer but that didn't really help much, so I just decided to ask you." She gives you a sheepish but pleased smile and you return it.
"Oh no I don't mind! I haven't had this much fun in ages!" You can't seem to stop smiling but maybe it's okay because she's smiling at you, too.
"I'm Nat," she says suddenly, and you don't hesitate to tell her your name. She repeats it quietly, still smiling softly at you.
There's a stretch of silence, you're both just looking at each other and one of her friends clear their throat, causing you both to blink. You think maybe you should be embarrassed but she doesn't appear fazed in the slightest.
"In the spirit of introductions, hello beautiful. I'm Sam." The male brunette sitting behind Nat says smoothly after his light cough. "This is Wanda, up there is Steve." He gestures to the woman beside him and to the driver, respectively.
Your gaze never leaves Nat. You can't tear your eyes from her even as Sam speaks, catching the quick tightness around the edges of her mouth before it relaxes again as you smile and respond to her rather than Sam.
"It's nice to meet you," you say sincerely to Nat. Her answering pleased expression as she returns the sentiment warms you. A pleasant tightness fills your chest as her lips quirk at something Sam mutters under his breath. The woman next to him, Wanda, laughs quietly.
"So, you know, we're gonna be here for a while. Let's see what else you got to listen to." Nat grins expectantly at you with a raised brow and you mirror her expression as you turn the knob.
You're pretty sure you've found your soulmate when her eyes spark in delight and she belts along effortlessly to Sweet Caroline, arms spreading dramatically as she almost nails the driver, Steve, in his face with the back of her hand. Sam and Wanda cackle as he shoves her arm away in mock affront and she sticks her tongue out at him.
You can't help but laugh at their antics, watching her perform, directing her friends' involvement ("bah, bah, bahh") before she turns to you ("so good, so good, so good!"). This is quickly becoming one of the best times you've ever had.
The song continues, both of you sharing the lead, absolutely ridiculous and uncaring of the scene you're making. If anyone in the surrounding cars felt disgruntled at the impromptu concert, you'd never know it. The girl in the car next to you has your undivided attention.
You're not sure how long it's been, how many songs you've played and sang along to, but after a while, traffic slowly creeps to life. Steve taps Nat on the arm during a lull between songs and you lower the volume as she turns to him. He gestures at the line of cars ahead, the ones directly in front still unmoving but in the distance you see brake lights releasing, vehicles rolling forward.
She turns back to you, chewing the inside of her lip as she looks at you thoughtfully. She seems to make a decision and reaches her hand out to you.
"Here, let me see your phone real quick." She makes a single gimme motion, fingers flicking closed then open as you hand the device over. Your lips spread into a wide smile at the triumphant look that crosses her face.
She beams at you before dropping her gaze to the phone, fingers moving quickly across the screen. You hear an unfamiliar notification tone and she pulls a phone from her lap, holding it up to show you.
"I text myself from your phone. Now we have each other's numbers. I wanna be able to call you later." She's unabashedly smug as she hands your phone back and you wonder if your face shows just how pleased you are.
You look down at the message thread she left open for you, the unsaved number displayed at the top.
"Traffic Jam Hottie 😍"
The single line of text and emoji sent from your phone to the number makes you bite your lip and shyly cover your smile with your fingertips. You look at her with raised eyebrows and she correctly interprets your unasked question and shrugs.
"That's your contact name. I'll probably never change it, not even after we get married."
It's sly and nonchalant, how she slips that in there, smooth as you please. Your jaw drops and her friends all seem to choke on air but her gaze, locked on you, is unwavering. The flirtatious expression on her face is simultaneously sincere and mischievous as she watches for your reaction.
Butterflies erupt in your stomach, your chest feels tight and pleasantly warm. Your smile stretches so wide your cheeks hurt as she winks and you're so giddy, you don't care how eager you look in this moment.
You quickly save her contact information and smirk, wiggling your phone at her.
"I'd hope not. I think having matching contact info is pretty cute and kinda romantic. A fun story for the wedding toasts." You grin cheekily.
Her expression shifts, full of mischief, a quirk of her eyebrow that makes your breath hitch and sets your heart racing as her friends whoop with glee at your banter. Her lips spread in a sly smile and you can't help but return it. You're positive you've never smiled this much in your life.
Too soon, the gridlock lets up and you both start moving with traffic. The cars in front of you begin to roll, the lane speeds varying enough to cause you to separate. She's still grinning at you as they get further ahead. You can faintly hear their teasing and you catch a glimpse of her profile, smiling and laughing, before she's no longer visible.
They take an exit as you continue on and you barely have a moment to mourn that they're out of view before your phone vibrates in your lap. Picking it up, you grin madly at the screen, the contact "Traffic Jam Hottie 😍" scrolling across the top.
Accepting the call, you hear it connect through you car speakers, her friends still audible in the background. Your heart stutters when she purrs her greeting.
"Hey hottie."

Pairing— Day Fairy!Hoseok x Night fairy!reader
Genre— SMUT, fae au, angst, idiots to lovers
Warnings— Oral (F receiving), nipple play, explicit unprotected sex, hair pulling, both praise and slight derogatory dirty talk bc I can’t make up my mind, slight swearing
Word Count— 3.3k
Summary— The summer solstice is here and it’s time to celebrate. Your favorite part of the solstice is that you get to see Hoseok, or rather, the love of your life. It’s too bad you haven’t told him how you really felt, even though it has been centuries. Maybe this year will be different.
A/N— This fic is part of The Fabled Collab hosted by @joontopia, @kimtaehyunq, and @whipped-for-kpop-fics. Hoseok is my sunshine, so I just had to write about him! Thank you to @s0seo and @taegularities for giving me motivation to write. Lastly, huge shoutout to Eden from @thebiasrekkers for making this awesome banner for me! As always, let me know how you guys like the fic! My askbox is always open <3
Tumblr media
Fae clans have many holidays and rituals, but solstices are by far the most celebrated. Solstices mark the pivotal event that shifts the seasonal responsibilities between the sun and moon clans. The summer and winter solstice are always the biggest events of the year, with about a week of festivities leading up to the final event.
Sweat ran down your spine as the sun beat down on you. You’ve been holding up a stupid banner for what felt like an eternity.
“Okay wait, you’re gonna hate me but I think we should put it back to where we originally had it,” Sunghoon said with furrowed brows.
“That’s it. We’ve been doing this all morning. Figure this out yourself,” you angrily threw down the banner and stormed off before Sunghoon had the chance to yell at you.
You ignored the friendly calls from other fae that were setting up decor nearby. It was way past your bedtime. Cranky and drenched in sweat, you were definitely not a happy night fairy. Heading straight to the pond, you derobed and found comfort in the cool waters that  washed away your stress instantly. You gazed up at the blue sky while floating on your back. The day truly was beautiful, you couldn’t deny that. However, nighttime was better in your very much biased opinion. The dark sky littered with countless stars that glittered like diamonds was an unbeatable sight.
“Hey there sunshine!” a familiar voice interrupted your thoughts. You dipped back into the water and turned to the source of the sound.
“Hey there, perv. Care to join me?” you beckoned.
“I wish I could, but I need to go finalize some plans for the handoff ceremony--”
“It’s the same EVERY year. C’mon Hobi, you don’t need to go,” you whined.
“I’ll meet you back here at sunset, how does that sound?” he tried to appease you.
“Midnight. I’m already exhausted, I don’t wanna wake up early,” you blew raspberries into the pond.
“That’s fair. I’ll see you then okay?” Hoseok waved before flying off.
Tumblr media
On top of parties filled with indulgences that would blow the mind of any feeble human, Hoseok was the added bonus that made you eager for each solstice. Admittedly, you two have had some sort of flirtationship going on for the past few centuries. Your friends always teased you about how madly head over heels you were for him. As much as you wanted to believe that he loved you in the same way, something always felt off.
Hoseok always reciprocated your flirtatious advances, but it felt more like a game between friends rather than something substantial. You’ve even observed his interactions with other fairies, and it didn’t seem like he gave you any special treatment. He was simply a good friendly guy that everyone loved, but not the way that you loved him.
You were dying to know how he truly felt about you. All these years of playful banter had been fun, but they had also been simultaneously eating away at you. There’s no way he doesn’t know that you love him. At the same time, what if he thinks you’re just a good friend? You needed to know for sure, and you intended to confront him about it at midnight.
Tumblr media
“Good evening,” you greeted Hoseok shyly as you approached the pond’s bank.
“Good day to you sunshine,” Hoseok called back as he kicked at the water.
“How’d the meeting go?” you asked.
“Boring as always. You’re right, it’s the same every year. But the elders still want to go over everything again to ensure that the ceremony is perfect,” Hoseok sighed.
“Thanks for coming to hangout with me even though you’re so busy,” you said, suddenly feeling guilty.
“Are you kidding? I’ve been looking forward to this all day! You’re the perfect person to unwind with after a long day,” Hoseok smiled. There it was. The radiant smile you fell for the first time you ever met him.
“You sure I’m the perfect person for that? What do you do when you’re back in your own land surrounded by other day fae?” you prodded, hoping to steer the conversation onto the ‘what are we’ topic.
“I have my friends there for sure, and I appreciate them too. But it’s different with you. Maybe because I can only hangout with you twice a year. You’re like my super special friend, yaknow?” Hoseok tried to explain.
“Uh yeah, for sure. Like a special playdate kind of thing huh?” you tried to hide your hurt feelings.
“Exactly! You get it. It’s like you’re my favorite dessert that I can only have twice a year,” Hoseok nodded.
“Right…” you whispered softly to yourself. You spent the rest of the night listening to the unfruitful discussions Hoseok had during his meetings. All the excitement over the festival had drained from you. Now, you just wanted it to be over so you can go sulk in peace.
“You’re awfully quiet,” Hoseok observed, “You haven’t interjected once about how stupid our traditions are or how you’re looking forward to having long nights again.”
“Hm? Oh yeah, I’m just tired. Sunghoon really worked me to the bone yesterday, that damn day fairy,” you faked a yawn.
“Hey, be nice! Wasn’t it you who volunteered to help us anyway?” Hoseok shook his head.
‘Yeah, because I thought I’d be able to work with you,’ you thought.
“It was a bizarre streak of altruism, that’s all,” you shrugged.
“Nah, I know you’re a kind fairy deep down!” Hoseok playfully nudged your shoulder. Normally you would welcome this type of physical affection, but for right now it served as a painful reminder that you were merely seen as a buddy.
Tumblr media
You actively avoided Hoseok for the remainder of the week, counting down the hours to when it would finally all be over. You made up some lame excuse to not hangout with Hoseok every time he approached you. He must have caught on by the final day, either that or he was extremely busy. Afterall, he was the MC for the entire ordeal.
Apparently, your abrasive reputation preceded you because no one wanted your help with anything. As soon as they saw you coming, they would randomly find themselves very preoccupied with something that made them too busy to talk to you. The only person who would put you to work was Sunghoon, who was one of Hoseok’s best friends. You wondered why he was always so nice to you even when you complained the entire time you helped him.
“That’s the last table! They all look great, thanks for helping with the set up,” Sunghoon gave you a thumbs up.
“You know it’s pointless setting up all these tables. Most of the fairies are just gonna be dancing or fucking all night long, no one is gonna be sitting down,” you said.
“Are you gonna be one of the fairies partying?” Sunghoon inquired.
“Definitely not,” you answered curtly.
“Then I’m happy at least one of these tables will be utilized,” Sunghoon nodded, “Try to enjoy yourself tonight okay?”
“Whatever,” you rolled your eyes.
The entire forest seemed to come alive that night. The trees swayed with the enchanting music while cheers of merriment erupted around the party scene. You sat alone at a mushroom table with your third (or was it fourth?) cup of berry wine. You glared at the fairies who had lost themselves to their pleasures, whether it be the wine or the toadstools, or perhaps even both. Fairies who had given into their more lustful urges could be seen on the outskirts of the dance floor, some in the innocent stages of kissing and others entangled full fledged fornication. Scoffing at the obscene orgy, you stumbled off to get another cup of wine. Even though you weren’t really participating, you had to admit that fairies knew how to throw a party.
“Hey ___, I noticed you’ve been by yourself the whole evening. Want some company?” someone asked behind you as you filled up your mug to the brim. You turned to see two Sunghoons merge to become one hazy Sunghoon in the blink of an eye.
“F-ffuck off Sunghoon,” you slurred.
“I wanted to thank you for all the hard work you did for this year’s summer solstice,” Sunghoon continued, unfazed by your harshness, “Wanna dance to celebrate?”
“Nope,” you answered as you pushed him aside.
Tumblr media
“Yeah she seemed pretty pissed dude,” Sunghoon said while taking a large swig.
“At you or in general?” Hoseok inquired.
“Dunno man, she’s always been like that. However, she seemed more aggravated than usual, which is hard to imagine,” Sunghoon chuckled, “Did you do something to her?”
“No! I’ve been replaying everything we talked about at the pond but everything seemed fine! I even told her that she was my super special friend and---oh shit,” Hoseok’s face fell.
“Idiot,” Sunghoon tsked.
Tumblr media
Both fae clans had gathered by the main stage, intently listening to the same speeches that the clan leaders have spoken for centuries. You watched apathetically as the everlasting flame was being formally handed over. The crowd roared as the flame changed from a deep crimson red to an icy silver color with a blue hue, signifying that the solstice had come to pass.
If the festival wasn’t wild before, it had only gotten more out of hand after the official ceremony. Seeing the other fairies go wild in every sense of the word made you nauseous. The noise level intensified as you watched your fairy brethren engage in rather promiscuous activities. Someone even beckoned for you to join in the fun, but you just walked away. The only person you wanted to have that kind of fun with was Hoseok. It infuriated you that your thoughts always drifted to him. You filled up your cup one last time and walked away from the ruckus, towards an empty grove. Hopefully you would be able to wallow in self pity in peace there.
The stars twinkled above you, and dim moonlight speckled the ground around you as it shone through the trees. You could still hear the party, but it was much fainter now and served as nice background noise to keep you from drowning in your thoughts. With a deep exhale, you fought to hold back tears. You felt so foolish. Too many years have been wasted in vain for an unrequited love that you should have seen coming. It was so stupid of you to hold onto a sliver of hope that Hoseok would like you back.
“The party is that way,” a familiar voice called out to you.
“Then why aren’t you there?” you didn’t try to mask the annoyance in your voice.
“I saw you walk away, I wanted to check up on you.”
“Why the fuck would you even care?” you sat up and hissed.
“Why are you being so hostile? You’re the one who has been avoiding me all week!” Hoseok raised his voice.
“I’m sure you didn’t have much time to spend with me anyway,” you huffed.
“That’s not true. I spent every moment of my free time looking for you, only for you to turn me away. Can you tell me what’s wrong?” Hoseok calmed down.
“Fine. I’m in love with you, okay? How fucking embarrassing. It hurt when you said that I was your super best friend or whatever. Seeing you afterward just reminded me of how dumb I am,” you couldn’t make eye contact with him.
“Oh sunshine, I’m the idiot. I shouldn’t have said that. You’re my special friend because I like you too. I wanted to spend every second with you this week. I didn’t mean to hurt you like that, I’m so sorry ____,” Hoseok got down on his knees and pulled you in for a hug. You were stunned.
“Why didn’t you say anything sooner then!” you pushed him off.
“I thought it was obvious from the way we flirted!” he argued.
“You’re nice to everyone, it was hard for me to tell,” you pouted.
“My apologies for not being a sourpuss like you,” Hoseok laughed.
“So...what now? It wasn’t really a romantic confession but I guess our feelings are out in the open now,” you whispered as you leaned against him.
Suddenly, Hoseok pushed you back to the ground, straddling your hips. His dark hair nearly covered his eyes as he looked down at you. He was beyond beautiful, his white iridescent wings glittered ethereally in the moonlight.
“Remember when I said you’re like a dessert I can only have twice a year? I’d like to make that a reality,” Hobi smirked. He bent over to kiss you. It was soft at first, his plush lips pressing up against yours. He gently cupped your face with one hand while the other wandered to your chest, undoing your blouse. Lust overtook the both of you as the kiss deepened and Hoseok fondled your breasts. You let out a small gasp as he played with your nipples, rolling them between his fingers.
“Spread those legs for me, sunshine,” he demanded.
You complied, slowly exposing yourself to him. You couldn’t bring yourself to look at him while in such a compromising position. Hoseok gingerly kissed a trail along your inner thighs towards your core. His hot breath against your pussy made you squirm under him in anticipation.
“So impatient,” he chuckled, “Let’s play a game. You have to make eye contact with me while I eat you out. Every time you look away, I stop.”
“You’re evil,” you huffed before reluctantly looking at the beautiful being perched between your legs.
“That’s my girl,” he purred approvingly before spreading your folds with his fingers. His eyes darkened with lust as you watched him lick tantalizingly slow stripes. He could feel your need for more, so he moved up to focus on your clit, giving it special attention as his tongue swirled around it.
You tangled your fingers into his hair, gripping him tighter as he licked your clit faster. All your composure was lost as you looked down at him with pleading eyes.
“What is it? Need more?” Hoseok teased as his fingers traced your entrance.
“Please,” you whimpered.
“Please what?” Hoseok feigned ignorance
“Please touch me,” you said softly.
“We need to work on your begging, but you’re so adorable I can’t say no,” Hobi dove back into stimulating your clit as he slipped a finger inside of you. He smirked at how easily he went in, and immediately added a second finger. The new feeling had you throwing your head back as he grazed your g-spot. Right as things began to feel good, he retracted everything.
“Hobi!” you cried out in frustration.
“You looked away. Remember the rules to our little game?” Hoseok chided. You glared down at him as he immediately picked up where he left off, not giving you time to readjust. Fighting back the urge to close your eyes, soft moans escaped from your lips.
“Ready to cum, my dear ___?” he asked sweetly as his fingers dipped to directly attack your g-spot.
There was no time to give a proper response. Your back arched and your toes curled up as your orgasm overwhelmed you. Drenched in your juices, Hoseok glistened under the moonlight.
“Absolutely gorgeous,” Hoseok praised, “But I’m not finished with you yet,” he leaned in to whisper in your ear.
He unbuckled his trousers, releasing the monster that dangled between his legs. You willingly spread your legs for him, eager for more.
“So needy, you haven’t had enough yet?” Hoseok tsked as he rubbed the tip of his cock along your folds.
Finally, Hoseok began to bury himself into you. He took his time, relishing how your warm walls squeezed him. You closed your eyes in ecstasy, focusing on feeling every inch of him. Once he bottomed out, you wrapped your legs around him in an attempt to bring him impossibly closer. The dark lust that swam in his eyes broke for a second, replaced by the warm smile that made you fall in love with him in the first place. He bent down to kiss you, and you happily reciprocated.
Hoseok moved his hips slowly as he fucked you at a deep yet gentle pace. Mouths still colliding, you shyly licked at his lips. Taking your hint, Hoseok’s tongue met yours. As the kisses deepened with more saliva being interchanged, Hoseok’s thrusts became harsher.
“You’re so fucking sexy. Lemme see that ass baby,” Hoseok growled as he flipped you over.
He smacked your ass twice and watched it jiggle in awe before placing a firm grip on your hips. Almost animalistically, he bucked into you. Your body jolted forward with each thrust. You had never been fucked this hard before, and it was heavenly. Hoseok’s control over his body movement was insane. Your moans grew louder as his hips continuously rolled into you.
One of Hoseok’s hands formed a tight grip on your hair, roughly bringing your head up off the ground. You couldn’t stop your wanton moans from filling the open air.
“H-Hoseok,” you cried out.
“What is it? Is it too much for you?” Hoseok cooed in your ear as he brought your head back even closer to him.
“Mmm-no,” was all you could make out.
“I knew you could take it all, such a good slut,” Hoseok praised as he let go of your hair.
Unable to hold yourself up, you immediately fell back onto your chest. Your fingernails dug into the dirt as you could feel another orgasm swelling up inside of you.
“I’m gonna cum again,” you wailed out.
“I’m almost there, wait for me baby,” Hoseok instructed.
With perfect timing, Hoseok let out a guttural moan as he spilled his seed inside of you. Sounds of pleasure bounced around the grove as you came in unison. Hoseok’s cum dripped down the sides of your inner thighs when he pulled out.
“How did I do, sunshine?” Hoseok asked jovially as you laid on the ground before him.
“You knocked me out. I don’t think I can move for a while,” you weakly answered with a smile.
“Not a problem, we can just stay here for a while, sunshine,” Hoseok laid down beside you, beckoning for you to rest atop his chest.
“I like when you call me that,” you yawned.
“Sunshine?” Hoseok asked.
“Yeah, that. It makes me feel special,” you nodded.
“Is that so? I’m glad it makes you feel special, because you are. You’ve always been the spunky night fairy that everyone knows but is too afraid to approach,” Hoseok laughed.
“What! I am totally friendly! Just not to those who piss me off,” you defended, “Which...I guess is a lot of people so I suppose I see your point. What made you want to be my friend if everyone thought I’m scary?”
“You treated me like everyone else. It always felt like people put on a fake facade around me since I’m the chief’s son. They’re nice to me to try and curry favor with my father, or maybe flirt with me to try and gain some special sort of status. I don’t know. I’m just me,” Hoseok shrugged.
“If it makes you feel any better, you’re my sunshine,” you hugged him.
“That makes me feel great. I’ll do my best to see you more than twice a year, okay?” he kissed your forehead.
“I guess I can clear my schedule and come over to visit you too,” you giggled, “Or maybe we can run away and make a clan of our own.”
“Are you serious?” he asked, “Don’t tempt me. I’d love to go somewhere where no one knows my name or expects anything from me.”
“How about we go to where the day meets the night?” you offered.
“Like what? An eclipse?” Hoseok said as he gazed into the night sky.
“Precisely. We can make an eclipse clan. We only have to do festivals for eclipses, and those are kinda rare,” you giggled.
“Sounds like a good dream, sunshine. Let’s seriously discuss it in the morning when we’re both more sober,” Hoseok kissed your forehead.
“Goodnight, my sunshine,” you whispered into his chest.

genre: angst, and mostly angst >:^)
warnings: swearing, luke’s gf being mean, bullying?
wc: 4,057 (she’s a long one)
my masterlist!
You don’t know when it happened, or frankly how it happened, but one thing is for sure: you don’t want to feel this way.
Was it when he bought you a stuffed animal version of a pet you had as a kid, one that you remember so fondly and still tear up about it to this day? Or was it when he would always bring back a certain candy you can only find in its country of origin, and bring as much as customs would allow? Maybe it was when he printed out every photo he could find from the beginning of your friendship to the present day (at that time) and made a scrapbook for your birthday since you cherish memories?
Whatever memory it was, you want to track it down and destroy it. It wasn’t fair that you developed such strong feelings for your best friend, knowing he doesn’t feel the same since he’s taken.
It’s not that he isn’t attractive – far from that because if anything, you wish you could draw just so you can draw him because there’s no way someone can look that good – but it’s more of the fact that he’s your best friend, someone you hold dear to you.
You two grew up together; saw each other’s worst phases, styles, and embarrassing moments (it was well documented towards the middle of the scrapbook). He was with you when you went through bad break-ups, and you with him. Throughout school, you two were inseparable, and when the band got big he made sure to keep you close and to never lose contact. It was hard in the beginning but you two managed.
Now finished with college, you’ve taken on the role of working with the team when they’re on tour and helping plan aesthetics for the next album. He offered the jobs after you struggled to find a job after graduation, and in the end, you enjoyed being with the guys and doing the tasks needed.
Tonight, the band was set to play their new album to an intimate crowd. It was to welcome back old fans and welcome new fans, introducing both sides to a new sound they worked hard on. You couldn’t be any more proud.
You sat on the couch as the guys walked around the room, pepping themselves up and hyping each other. You had finished doing your tasks with the crew and spent your free time watching the band prepare as the audience began to fill in the theater seats.
A nudge on your arm makes you direct your eyes from Michael styling his hair with a nervous expression to the person on your left.
“What’s up?” you asked, smiling at the curly-haired individual.
Luke shrugs, glancing around the room before his eyes land back on you. He has a small smile on his face as he leans back onto the couch, “Nothing.”
You scoff, shaking your head with a smile, “Yeah, sure, ‘nothing,’” you mimic, tilting your head to the side, “I doubt that.”
“What do you want me to say?”
You give him an incredulous look, crossing your arms as you turn to face him. You can tell he’s nervous, like the rest of the team and the band, but he won’t admit it. He’s always wanted others to view him as strong and unbothered, especially when those around him feel off.
He mirrors your position, a smirk on his lips because he knows you’re about to lecture him.
And he’s right.
“Your band has a new album out in a couple of days—an album you guys have worked hard on even when your management gave you shit, mind you—and you’re about to perform a majority of the songs in front of 500. Are you not nervous?”
He shakes his head, smugly smiling as he returns to his position leaning against the couch, watching Ashton dry the wet ends of his hair.
“Liar,” you mumble, uncrossing your arms and taking your phone out to check the time.
“Alright,” Luke sighs, giving in, “maybe I’m a little nervous, but I’m not a wreck.”
He’s still a liar. The success of their last album was astounding, so creating an album to reach that level and hopefully top it was hard enough. Playing it in front of an intimate crowd who may or may not like it was tough.
Luke isn’t cocky. He’s a humble man, but he likes to joke around in stressful situations. He’s used to concerts, so he doesn’t have any anxiety when it comes to performing. But when he is nervous for any reason, he won’t show it. He’ll act cool, completely collected with his head held high in confidence. If he needs to relieve the stress, he’ll either do it himself with a strong pep talk, or he’ll go to you.
“What are you nervous about?” You ask, wanting to make him feel better.
“Will they like it? Will it even chart? Is it too bold?” he continues listing out his insecurities about the album and the performance, finally lifting everything off his chest.
And you listen. The way his eyes stare into yours with slight confidence, covered by worry makes your heart sore. Luke’s kept everything inside and now that he’s listing his grievances, it makes you wonder just what else you can get out of him that he’s kept buried inside.
However, before you can give him your insight on this particular problem, “Luke!”
His head immediately turns to the door, the worry in his eyes fading out into sheer happiness and adoration. Something you’ve always wanted to see directed towards you.
Luke stands arms wide as he captures his girlfriend in his arms for a hug. Her arms wrap around his waist as his arms go around her shoulders, dipping his head down to kiss her on the head.
“I can’t believe you made it!” you hear him speak with excitement, expressing more words of happiness as he guides her to another part of the room.
You don’t miss the way her eyes glare in your direction, and you’re not afraid to give her a look back.
Rachel was nice when you met her. You actually liked her, despite your crush on Luke, and you were rooting for the two. But, a couple months ago during a stressful week, she turned on you. Her attitude towards you shifted, almost as if you had disrespected her and her bloodline. She would always act as if you weren’t in the room, and when plans were made with the boys, she would “accidentally” leave you out. It was embarrassing for you when you’d find out your friends went out, calling you to find out why you didn’t come. Due to the embarrassment, you would go along with it, making up some excuse as to why you were absent.
None of the boys, to your knowledge at least, have caught on to her antics, and you honestly hope they don’t. Whatever it is you did to her, you want to find out for yourself so you can fix it.
With a sigh, you stand from the couch, stretching your arms briefly before wandering to Calum, who stood in the shower room connected to the dressing room.
“Hey,” you greeted him with a warm smile.
He smiles back, finishing his drink before tossing the plastic cup in the trash. He grabs his bass, which was placed on the counter, and holds it out to you.
“You want me to see if it sounds out of tune?” you jokingly ask.
He nods, “Yeah, I feel like one of the chords might be flat.”
You chuckle as you pluck a random chord. His instruments are always tuned before it’s time to play. One of his pre-show nervous ticks was the constant doubt of his instruments being playable.
“It’s fine, Calum.”
The doubt shows on his face as he brings his guitar back to himself, putting it on and checking the chords himself, but it doesn’t last long as Ashton’s voice calls everyone to the center of the room.
Walking with Calum to where the rest of the crew was, you notice how attached Luke was to Rachel. Joint at the hip, arms wrapped around each other; it was annoying.
“Show starts in ten,” Ashton gains your attention, holding up a cup as Michael hands Calum a similar cup before doing the same to Luke. The three follow the drummer’s action as he continues, “let’s make this show fuckin’ awesome.”
The crew cheers, dying down quickly as Michael gives his thoughts, “We worked our asses off for this album, I don’t have any doubts about it. We got this, guys!”
The cheers resume as those with a drink take a celebratory sip before placing their empty cup on a surface near them.
Calum leaves your side to join Michael while Ashton heads to you.
“You excited?” he asks, putting his right arm around your shoulders with a large smile.
“Yeah!” you return the smile, “What about you? Nervous like the others?”
He shakes his head, crinkling his nose, “I’m not too nervous. I’m just happy to play again.”
You’re about to ask him what song he was the most excited to play, starting to get into the conversation but yet again you are interrupted by Rachel.
“Hey, Ash,” she greets him, Luke following close behind her as his arms make their way back around her shoulders again.
“Hi, Rachel,” Ashton nods his head at her – his eyes dance to Luke briefly before returning to Rachel’s, “didn’t think you’d make it.”
“Couldn’t miss your big show,” she smiles, looking up at her boyfriend as she pats his stomach.
Luke laughs, gently pushing her hand away from him, “I’m surprised, too—“ he grabs the guitar a crew member hands him, left arm lifting itself from Rachel’s shoulder as he slips the strap over his head, “—because her schedule did not look clear enough, but here she is.”
“Three minutes,” a different crew member rushes out, patting Luke and Ashton’s shoulders before rushing to tell the others.
“See you after,” Luke shifts his guitar away from Rachel before leaning down to kiss her on the lips – something you wish you didn’t see – and turning around to head out of the dressing room.
Ashton gives you a quick hug, “Excited for the lights,” he mumbles in your ear before turning to Rachel to give her a side hug.
It doesn’t go unnoticed how Rachel’s eyes glared at you by Ashton, but he doesn’t mention it as he heads out with the other guys towards the stage.
As a majority of the crew follow them out, you stay behind to clean up the empty cups and other trash, trying to occupy yourself as Rachel too stayed behind.
Her eyes followed you as you moved about the room, carrying the small plastic bag with you as it fills up with cups and wrappers. You could feel the glare burning into your side and back as you paid her no mind.
When it was just you two left, the bass from their opening song was heard and felt as you finished picking up the garbage.
“For how long have you liked Luke?”
You froze. Your head whipped towards Rachel, wide-eyed as you glanced around the room to make sure it was just the two of you.
“What…what are you talking about?” You can feel an extreme warmth rising up from the bottom of your back, all the way to your face, nervousness clouding your brain as she stares you down.
“Luke—,” she crosses her arms and moves to the couch, “how long have you liked Luke?”
“I don’t—I,” you stutter, your stomach dropping as you realize you’ve been caught.
His girlfriend knows you like him.
“Cut the bullshit,” she spits, “I can see it. You’ve been friends with him for years, you obviously caught feelings for him.”
You shake your head, standing up straight to give off the illusion of confidence. Turning your back to her and towards the door, “I don’t have to talk to you.”
You opted for walking out of the dressing room and go watch the band from the side of the stage, but you made a quick stop in the bathroom to splash cold water on your face.
You did what you could to avoid her during their performance. You knew she was watching you, seething at how you ended the conversation so fast.
Rachel wanted to break you down, find the reason why you like him and separate you two for as long as it takes to make him fall in love with her. She finds you a problem in their relationship because of how close you and Luke are, because of how long you’ve known each other. A threat to her and her relationship.
An hour and a half later, the show is finished and the whoops and cheers from the crowd indicate the album was very well received. That thought swept the interaction with Rachel from earlier under the rug as the boys’ adrenaline spread throughout the crew.
Ashton was first to greet you, sweaty and ready to envelop you in a hug but you’re quick to avoid it, ducking down just as his arms closed around the space where your head was. He laughs it off, heading for his next victim.
Next was Calum, who grabbed a drink from Andy and gulped it down. He had a smile on his face after, only growing wider when he saw you. “I think they liked it!”
“Bass in tune, huh?” you return, patting his back as he passes you to go to the next person.
Michael is the third, taking off his hat (which made you question why he was so worried about his hairstyle that he spent at least fifteen minutes playing with before the show). He stops in front of you, phone in hand as he takes a picture of the two of you: a tradition he started a few tours ago as a joke.
Finally, Luke makes his way towards you, ready to ramble about the show but is brisked away by Rachel. He doesn’t even glance over at you after he’s taken away towards the hall.
Entering the dressing room where the rest of the boys sat, you saw Michael talking animatedly on the phone, Calum laying across the couch with an arm over his eyes, and Ashton wiping off excess sweat with a towel. He was the first one to notice you.
“Ready for that hug?” he asks as you approach him.
“Why not.”
You hug each other, smiling as you pulled away. In the distance, over the cool-down music, you hear Luke’s laughter in the hall. Knowing he’s with Rachel makes you wonder if she’s told him about her suspicions, and that thought alone makes you clam up all over again.
Ashton immediately notices, tilting his head as he asks you what’s wrong.
“Nothing,” you quickly reply, eyes focusing on him.
He notices how jittery you seem, but he doesn’t want to make you uncomfortable so he says nothing.
“Guys,” Andy comes in with his camera in hand, “we need to take a few photos.”
The three agree and follow the photographer out. You move to the snack table for a bottle of water, but before you can take a sip, someone clears their throat in the doorway.
You roll your eyes immediately because you know who it is. You don’t pay her any attention and instead take the sip of water you need.
“We need to finish that conversation you oh-so rudely ended,” Rachel moves into the room, keeping her voice down as she crosses her arms.
“We don’t need to finish anything.”
She scoffs, “I asked you a question, and you were so quick to avoid it. I think you’re proving a point.”
“What point?” you turn to look at her, “I know you don’t like me but I don’t know why, can we start with that?”
“Like I said before, I know you like Luke. He’s my boyfriend, and I don’t like how he’s close to you.”
“We grew up together,” you state, standing tall as you glare at her, “of course we’re going to be close.”
“Well I don’t like it,” she huffs.
You shake your head with a sigh, closing the lid to the bottle as you turn your back to her. You were getting angry at the fact that someone who didn’t know Luke as long as you did was hinting that you should stay away from him.
“Stop hanging out with him.”
A curt laugh escapes you before you can stop it, “Are you jealous of our friendship?”
“No,” she smirks, “but I know you’re jealous of our relationship.”
She’s right; you’re only a little jealous of their relationship, but it’s not something you want to risk your friendship with.
You open your mouth to defend yourself, but you’re caught off-guard when nothing comes out. The one opportunity to make her believe you don’t like her boyfriend and you can’t say anything.
Giving up with sinking shoulders, you glance at the door before looking back at her. Grimacing at her knowing smile, “How did you find out?”
She hums, “It was easy. I love him, so I know what it looks like to look at someone you love. You made it so obvious, I’m surprised no one else found out!”
You grit your teeth. You did your damn best to make sure no one, especially Luke or Rachel, know how you feel about him.
“I’m not intimidated by you,” she walks closer to you, arms uncrossing as her hands move to her hips, “but I won’t deny the fact that you and Luke have chemistry.”
“What will it take—” you place the bottle back on the table, “—for you to leave me alone?”
“Do the same to him.”
“What?”
“Leave him alone, unfriend him,” she shrugs, “simple as that.”
“That’s ridiculous,” you walk around her to the door, ready to end the conversation.
“Do that or I’ll tell him,” with a harsh tone she walks towards you, grabbing your arm to stop you from walking.
“You wouldn’t.”
“Okay,” another voice from the doorway makes the two of you jump, “that’s enough.”
Ashton walks into the room, grabbing Rachel’s hand and removing it from your arm.
“W—” she stutters out as she watches the tall man move to stand in front of you.
“I came back for my drumsticks—” his eyes shift to the object sticking out of his bag before dropping down to Rachel, “—but instead I find you, what, threatening a good friend of ours?”
Rachel is speechless while you’re frozen. It was embarrassing enough for one person to find out about your crush on Luke, but now Ashton might know and you want to go into hiding.
“Let it go,” you tug on Ashton’s shirt to get his attention but he doesn’t move.
“Telling someone who’s known your boyfriend longer than your relationship to just abandon him is low, Rachel. Don’t think the way you’ve been treating our friends has gone unnoticed.”
You hear more footsteps approaching the room, and now you wish the ground can swallow you up. You don’t want all this attention on you.
“What’s happening here?” Michael says as he peeks into the room, Luke behind him as Calum leans against the other side of the doorway.
“Nothing—,” Rachel tries to deflect but with four pairs of eyes on her, it becomes too much. Tears start pouring out, and you’re in disbelief.
How can she be the one crying after she was the one who was rude to you?
Luke immediately rushes in, creating a beeline right to her side to wrap her in his arms.
His eyes dart to yours, an emotion on his face of something you’ve never seen, but you know it’s not good.
“What did you do?”
You’re taken back by his tone and the way his angry eyes stare you down. It hurts because instead of staying neutral and finding out what exactly happened, he immediately chose a side: a side of someone he’s known for only for a short amount of time.
“Mate,” Ashton speaks up for you, “I think you’re asking the wrong person that.”
“No,” Luke’s voice raises, eyes moving from yours to stare into his band mate’s, “I’m asking the right person.”
You swallow the lump in your throat, your eyes welling with tears as the weight of everything happening within the last ten minutes starts to bring you down. Your eyes move away from the ones boring into yours, and with a tremble in your voice, “I didn’t do anything. She’s the one who started—.”
“Bullshit!” Luke’s roar cuts you off, “Absolute bullshit, because if she started it, then why is she the only one crying?!”
The two other guys move in to the room to mediate the situation.
“Luke, calm down,” Michael’s hands raise to the motion of ‘calm down’ as he tries to get Luke’s attention.
“There’s gotta be more to the story,” Calum moves to your side, checking on you briefly.
“Don’t,” Luke states as he watches Calum grab your shoulders to move you out of the room.
“Don’t you think you’re overreacting?” Ashton questions. He watches Luke soothingly rub Rachel’s back, wiping her tears with his free hand.
“My girlfriend is crying and you two were the only ones in here,” Luke replies, gently grabbing Rachel’s arms so he can look directly into her eyes, “what happened, babe?”
“I asked them—,” Rachel sniffles, continuing her façade, “—if they needed any help cleaning the room earlier and they yelled at—at me and told me to go away. Then after the show when you guys went for your photos, I came here to apologize to her, even though I didn’t do anything wrong.”
She was selling it; the tears, the sniffling, the stutters, and hiccups. A great actress who knows what she wants.
“That’s not true,” you inhale, your ears feeling warm and ringing, “she has had a problem with me lately and I don’t know why!”
Luke scoffs, shaking his head, wrapping Rachel in his arms again.
“C’mon,” Michael mumbles, wanting to leave the room.
Ashton turns around, watching your face go from pleading to blank as the tears fall from your eyes. He turns his head to face Luke, “You’re unbelievable,” he grabs your shoulders and starts to move you out of the room, “let’s go.”
Michael is already out of the room, the tension too much for him and ruining the after-show vibe. Calum is waiting by the door ready to help lead you out. Ashton has you turned around, pushing you towards the door.
“Wait, Luke,” you mumble, getting out of Ashton’s hold and turning back to face Luke.
He doesn’t look at you, sighing as he rubs Rachel’s head as it’s against his chest.
“Please,” you plead, begging him to look at you and when he does, you ask, “who do you believe?”
“What?”
“Who do you believe, Luke,” you gulp with a sniffle, “me or her?”
For a moment, you think you see hesitation. His jaw tenses as he stares you down, his best friend for years and someone he turned to when times got tough. He then looks down at the girl in his arms, someone he loves crying into his chest.
He sighs again, this time soft, before looking up to meet your eyes. He does notice the tears, the pain etched on your face as his other best friends watch them. “I believe Rachel.”
“This is fucking stupid,” Ashton mutters as he gently grabs your shoulders again to lead you out of the room.
You let the tears fall freely, not meeting any of the boys’ eyes as you kept your head face down.
You’ve lost your best friend. He chose someone else over you, a lie he chose to believe.
Whatever it was that made you catch feelings for your best friend, you wish you can find it and destroy it, along with any other memory you’ve made with him. After tonight, you want him erased from your cherished memories.

pairing: shawn mendes x reader
request: “hello. i was wondering if you could write where y/n and shawn met at school or on vine or idk at a coffee shop. both of us were young new artists and bonded over that. as both of us start getting popular we lose contact. a few years later we decide to collab on a song and that rescinds a spark of friendship and maybe something. but of course, I wanted to at a bit of drama. while you try to catch up on, you know life, the paparazzi are sure you two are together, shawn's ex is stringing up trouble and all your friends and family keep on bothering you two about each other” - @iwishiwasyuri
word count: 2.7k
It had been a peaceful day. You had woken up early and started a day of productivity. You were currently drinking a cup of tea and replying to a few business emails.
It was peaceful. Birds were singing outside. It was early, and it felt like the world was not awake yet. This moment of serenity almost felt like the calm before the storm.
Then, your phone buzzed and shook your desk in the process. You were taken out of your thoughts.
You glanced down at the lit screen. You noticed a text message had popped up on your screen.
Woah.
You hadn’t seen that name in years.
Shawn.
Shawn Mendes.
You and Shawn had known each other for years. You both bonded over being singers and the rest was history.
You two had a beautiful story, much like a fairytale. The way you both met felt like a page out of a novel.
You had been at your local coffee shop, way before you had become successful in the music industry world.
It was back when you uploaded videos of yourself singing covers on YouTube. It was simple and seemed mediocre now, but at the time you loved it. You were singing all the time and it was your dream, even though you made virtually no money. You still loved it.
You jumped up into the seat at the high table. You pulled out your laptop to edit your most recent video. You sipped on your warm latte. It made you feel warm and cozy, as opposed to the freezing weather outside.
You plopped your headphones over your ears and started to edit the video. Within seconds, you heard a voice talking over your shoulder.
“So you’re a singer?” The voice asked. You jumped, almost managing to fall out of the chair. You felt a pair of strong arms catch you and keep you from falling.
Finally, you got a chance to look at the source of the voice. You had been prepared for it to be some creepy guy, but you were wrong.
So wrong.
The guy was cute and had the most perfect smile. You were speechless. You froze, and your brain shut off.
“Hi, uh sorry about that. I’m Shawn. It’s just, your headphones are unplugged. I was going to tell you and I realized it was you singing. I’m sorry I scared you” he said, kindly. You had to pinch yourself to realize this was all real. “I...uh hi. I’m Y/N. I was just zoned out, it’s not your fault. But hi, I’m Y/N” you rambled.
His smile made your stomach do flips. You felt like you were on a rollercoaster.
“Yeah, you said that already” Shawn said, chuckling. It was endearing. He wasn’t laughing at you, he was just amused by the cute girl who was stuttering over her words.
You didn’t know it then, but he thought you were adorable.
You thought the exact same thing about him.
The story went on. You two became great friends. You never got the courage to mention your little crush on him, but time went on.
As you both got busier, you started to drift apart. Eventually you just stopped talking. Any time you heard his songs on the radio or saw an article about him, it just pulled on your heart strings.
But now he was texting you.
Hey, Y/N. I know it’s been a while, well maybe longer than a while. It feels like forever. Anyway, I was wondering if you wanted to meet up and talk. I really miss you
You were stunned. You could barely comprehend what you were reading.
It felt like a crazy dream, and you were about to wake up any second now.
You picked up your phone and tried to come up with a reply. It was harder than you thought it would be. How did you put years worth of feelings into just a few sentences?
Hi! It has been forever, I miss our late night runs for ice cream. I would love to hang out and catch up. I want to hear about all that I’ve missed. I hope you’re doing well!!
You pressed send and your heart leaped out of your chest. You could hear your heart thumping in your ears.
As you sat there waiting for a reply, it felt like years. In reality, it was probably five minutes.
Then, your phone dinged.
Awesome! You want to come over to my place in like an hour?
You almost jumped out of your chair. You couldn’t believe you were finally going to see Shawn after all these years. You sent a quick reply and then headed to your closet to get dressed.
You grabbed some clothes to change into and then proceeded to change your outfit four more times. Finally, you had settled on the best option. You checked the clock and saw that it was time to go.
You grabbed your phone and your keys and then headed to Shawn’s apartment.
You found yourself outside his front door, unable to move. You wanted to pick up your hand and knock on the door, but you couldn’t. Every time that you got close, you chickened out.
It had been years since you had seen Shawn. What if he changed? What if he didn’t like you anymore? What if you embarrassed yourself?
Every time another one of thoughts popped in your head, it became harder to try to knock on that door.
You took a deep breath and tried to still your shaking hands. You felt a small moment of confidence. Before it went away, you quickly knocked on the door.
Your pulse quickened. You felt the extreme urge to just run away. Before you could do that, the door opened.
There he was.
He looked different in person. Magazines and social media had been the only place you saw him for years. Now, three feet in front of you, you were almost shocked that he was three dimensional.
“Hi” was all you get out.
You were absolutely frozen.
“Hey” he said, slowly. He seemed to also be at a loss for words.
You looked him up and down, taking in all of his features. His hair was longer now. His shoulders were broader and he was so much more muscular now.
You were almost drooling over his arms in the tight shirt. Your lingering gaze left his body and you met his eyes.
Small smiles appeared on both of your faces. He grabbed your hands and pulled you into a hug. His tight embrace was comforting. His strong arms around you made your heart swoon.
After a while, you both pulled away. Once again, you couldn’t get rid of the grin on your face. “So how have you been?” He asked, looking into your eyes.
You started to tell him about major changes in your life that he had missed. While you were talking, his hand naturally slipped into yours. He gave your hand a reassuring squeeze as you spoke.
Your heart was racing at the speed of sound. It felt like a dream. There was no way you could really be standing in front of Shawn after all these years.
“It’s so good to finally see you again. I’ve actually been wanting to ask you something” Shawn said, after you finished talking. You were immediately intrigued, but also worried.
“And what is that?” You asked, rocking back and forth on your feet. “I was wondering if you would want to collab on a song sometime. I really love your music, and it would awesome to work with you” he told you, honestly.
You were taken aback. “I would love to. Is that why you invited me? To use me for monetary gain?” You teased him, giggling. He chuckled and shook his head. “No, that’s not why I wanted to see you again” he said, with a certain sparkle in his eyes.
You started gazing into his eyes, and it became harder and harder to stop. You didn’t notice, but you both started to step closer together. What you did notice was Shawn carefully placing his hand on your waist. He did it so lightly that you almost thought you imagined the lingering touch.
Before you both started to lean in, there was a loud commotion outside the front door. You both quickly jumped away like teenagers caught doing something mischievous.
Shawn sighed and headed towards the door to check who it was. He looked through the peephole and then quickly backed up. You were confused by his urgency.
“Who is it?” You asked, curiously. He didn’t answer you right away. He walked over to a wall and quickly closed the curtains. “The paparazzi are here” he said, walking back over to you.
“Well then I guess you’re stuck with me until they leave” you said, smiling as you walked over to the couch. You plopped down on the couch, and Shawn joined you seconds later.
“So do you want to watch a movie because you’re going to be stuck here?” He asked you, grabbing the remote.
You nodded and leaned your head on his shoulder. He didn’t expect you to do it, but he leaned into your touch. He pressed play on a movie and then put his arm along the back of the couch.
Slowly, as the movie continued, his arm moved from the couch to your shoulders. The way he transitioned was so natural, like he was used to having his arm around you. It felt good, and was definitely something you could get used to.
The movie became dull, and you glanced up at Shawn. You found yourself admiring his features as he watched the screen.
Then he caught you.
He looked down into your eyes. You felt your cheeks heat up as you were caught. “Hi you” he said, sweetly. You just smiled and then cuddled further into his side.
“Hey wait. I wanted to ask you about something?” Shawn said, pausing the movie.
You looked back up at him. It was hard to not smile. You always felt happy when you were around Shawn.
“So, I know that we haven’t seen each other in years, but there’s been something I’ve always wanted to tell you. Since the day we first met, I have—” Shawn started to say before he was interrupted.
Your phone loudly started ringing. It distracted you from what he was saying. You glanced down at your phone. It was your mom calling.
“I’m so sorry. It’s my mom, I have to take this” you said, apologetically setting one of your hands on Shawn's. He nodded. He was always so understanding.
You quickly answered the phone. Before you could say hello, your mom started interrogating you.
“Are you and Shawn finally together?” She asked, very quickly. You were taken aback by the question and also how fast she had asked that. “Uhh...no. Why would you think that?” You asked her, confused.
“The pictures are everywhere. It’s you walking into his house, and there’s a picture of you two hugging. All the tabloids are saying you two are together. I know that I shouldn’t trust tabloids, but I’ve always wanted you two to date. You are both so great together. Plus, he’s very handsome. So, you have good taste” your mom rambled, only stopping when she ran out of breath.
“Woah woah woah. Slow down. I promise you, Shawn and I are not dating” you assured your mom. Only then, Shawn started to listen to what you were saying. He had been trying not to listen or eavesdrop, but you were right next to him.
He just smirked at you. You saw it and rolled your eyes at him, as you tried to hold back from laughing.
Eventually, your mom said she believed you and hung up the phone. “I’m sorry about that. She started listening to the tabloids” you explained to him. He chuckled as he looked at his own phone. “That’s okay. All my friends are texting me about it too” he told you, smiling.
“Well then I guess you’re stuck with me as your fake girlfriend” you said, sticking your tongue out at him. He put his arm around you and then you leaned your head on his shoulder. “I’ve missed you” he said, softly.
You started to trace shapes on the back of his hand. “I’ve missed you too” you said, at the same volume.
You felt Shawn kiss your temple and you felt the heat rush to your face.
“So what were you going to ask me before?” You asked him, giving him your full attention. Just as he was about to tell you, there was a loud knocking at the front door.
Shawn groaned and then stood up. He walked over to the door. He looked through the peephole and just sighed.
“Hang on a minute” he said to you. Then, he opened the door. You couldn’t see the door from where you were sitting. “Hey there sweetheart” you heard a girl say, and your blood ran cold.
Did Shawn have a girlfriend? You had never even brought it up. You felt so stupid. Of course he had a girlfriend. It had been years. You had been sitting here hoping he would make a move, but he was taken. He was gorgeous, any girl would be lucky to date him.
“Ashley. What do you want? We broke up. Stop acting like it didn’t happen” Shawn said, sternly. It threw you even farther off guard. You didn’t want to get your hopes up, but it seemed like Shawn was actually single.
“I just saw on Twitter that coffee shop girl was here before. If you are dating, I want you to know that you can do better. I’m still single and you know I’m hotter than her. Just come here and kiss me so all those paparazzis will know you’re mine again” you heard Ashley said.
You felt disgusted listening to her talk. She was being really rude to both you and Shawn. “Goodbye Ashley. Go ruin somebody else’s day” Shawn said, closing the door.
He walked back over to you. He looked defeated. “So that was...?” You asked. “My ex-girlfriend. I know, bad idea” he said. You didn’t know what to say.
Shawn cursed under his breath. He looked furious. You stood up and walked over to him. “Hey it’s okay. It’s no big deal. We’ll just move on. You don’t have to worry about it” you said, trying to console him. You didn’t know why he was so upset of all a sudden.
“No, it’s not okay, Y/N” he snapped at you. You jumped away from him. You visibly flinched. His eyes softened when he saw you back away. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have shouted, it’s not your fault” he said, hanging his head low.
“It’s just— I’ve tried to kiss you three times today, or at least just tell you how I feel. Every time that I try, something gets in the way. I haven’t seen you in years and I just want get this off my chest. I feel like we have something special. I don’t know if you feel it too, or I’m just crazy. I really just want to kiss you, but I’m afraid something will get in the way if I try” he confessed.
You were shocked. This was the last thing you expected him to say. You had always wished that your connection was more than just friends, but you had always second guessed it. You always assumed that you were just making it up.
“Well, there’s nothing stopping you now” you said, coyly. He quickly looked up to meet your eye contact. He looked unsure, so you made the first move.
You walked towards Shawn and placed your hands on his chest. “What are you waiting for?” You asked him. That was all the clarity he needed.
He instantly connected your lips and wrapped his arms around your waist. It felt perfect. That sounds cliche and unrealistic, but the mixture of years of feelings and yearning made the perfect combination.
You both pulled away and couldn’t look away from each other’s eyes. “I guess I should call my mom back and tell her I lied” you said, giggling.

How MDC Actually Started
Got this idea from a post from @flufflepuffle296
It was so awesome, I had to write it out! Hope you like it! Let me know what you think!
Ever wonder how MDC was formed? This is the story of its formation, and why Marinette started the brand.
Nino had been miserable for several days now. He and Alya had just broken up. He had realized that Lila was lying about everything and tried to warn Alya. After all, Alya had been posting Lila’s lies on her blog without fact-checking. That could ruin Alya’s credibility and really damage her chances of becoming a journalist. He had pulled Alya aside after school one day to warn her privately. “Alya, you need to hear this. Lila has been lying to you; to all of us. You should pull down those interviews with her from your blog, they could hurt your reputation.” Alya got an irritated look on her face, “Nino, did Marinette get to you? Lila wouldn’t lie to us; we are all friends. How could you accuse Lila without any proof?” Nino, admittedly, got a little defensive at this comment, “What do you mean what proof do I have? What proof do you have that she is telling the truth? Proof is a two-way street, and you are a journalist. Where are your sources?” To say the conversation devolved from there would be an understatement. It ended with the young couple breaking up and more than a few tears being shed on both sides.
 --------------
For the next several days after the confrontation, Nino was miserable. He was taking the break up pretty hard. Eventually, his friends got tired of seeing him mope. Adrien, and Marinette invite him to a music festival that weekend, hoping it might get Nino out of his funk. They knew he had really wanted to go to this festival, and that he was a fan of several of the artists that were playing there. But when they got there, while Nino was enjoying himself, he couldn’t help but feel like a third wheel. Marinette was having a hard time hiding her crush, and Adrien was still being dense, but it felt like Nino had crashed a date. So, he made an excuse to the two and wondered off on his own. It was then that he met Emilia. They were both listening to the same person’s set and just started talking. The end of the festival felt like it came too quickly, but soon it was the end of the day and everyone had to leave. Nino and Emilia ended up exchanging phone numbers and promising to talk soon. Nino left the festival a lot happier than when he arrived.
  --------------
Over the next several days, Nino’s mood continued to improve. He was constantly smiling and seemed to be much happier. He and Emilia had been texting everyday since the festival and had grown quite close. They were constantly texting, and anytime his phone went off with another text notification, his smile grew wider. This did not escape the class’ notice and they started hounding him for details. “Who is she?” “Where did you meet?” “What is she like?” Nino was very tight lipped about the whole thing. He did tell them that her name was Emilia and that she was very kind and really like music too. The class kept pestering him until one day he told them, “Since you dudes keep bugging me, me and Emilia are going on our first date.” Most of the class, except for Alya and Lila, got really excited hearing that. Alya was unhappy that her ex already had a new date, and Lila was ‘supporting her bestie’. The class pressed Nino for details and he revealed, “We are going to that little café near the Louvre at 3pm next Saturday.” The class was very happy for Nino and kept talking with him for the rest of the day.
  --------------
Adrien and Marinette were very excited for their friend. They also wanted to make sure that the date goes smoothly. They thought the best way to know how the date goes, is to be there themselves. They spent the rest of the week coming up with their plan. When Saturday came, Adrien and Marinette arrived at the café about ten minutes after Nino or Emilia sat down, and slipped into booth so that Nino had his back to them. They were far enough away that they hoped the couple wouldn’t notice them, but close enough that they could still hear what they were saying. What Adrien and Marinette hadn’t anticipated was the arrival of Luka. Luka walked into the café and immediately noticed Marinette and Adrien trying to be discrete. He walked over to their booth, and Marinette immediately dragged him down into the booth. She quietly explained the situation to Luka, and he decided to stay for the rest of the date as well.
  --------------
That Monday, Nino came into the school and walked right up to Marinette and Adrien, who were talking with Luka in the courtyard. “Dudes! The date went great! We had such a fun time and we have a lot in common! We even decided to go on another date on Saturday. While Nino continues going on about his date, the three friends exchange eye contact. A silent pact was made right there, to continue their spying on Nino’s dates. So, the small group of three kept spying on Nino and Emilia during their dates.
  --------------
Eventually, someone became suspicious of their activities. But it wasn’t Nino or Emilia. It was Chloe. Chloe had noticed that Adrien kept disappearing every Saturday. She had no idea where he would be every single Saturday. They didn’t have school, there was no fencing on the weekends, and he didn’t have Chinese lessons on the weekend either. It couldn’t be photo shoots this often either. So, one Friday, Chloe stopped Adrien on his way to class and demanded to know what was going on. When Adrien filled her in on their weekly stalking of Nino and his girlfriend, Chloe was very interested and wanted to join the little group. And so, the group of spies now had their fourth member. The small group continued to stalk Nino and Emilia on all their dates. The group felt a little guilty about being so invasive, but this was incredibly entertaining. They were just happy they hadn’t been caught yet, because that would be embarrassing.
  --------------
Then, one weekend, Emilia arrived at the usual café before Nino. She had noticed that the same group had always been at the café for every single date she and Nino had been on. She had also noticed how much this group was desperate not to be seen by either of them. She approached them and asked, “What is going on? You guys are always here during our dates. What are you guys up to?” Que the group beginning to panic that they had been caught. They hadn’t thought up an excuse in case this happened and now they were regretting it. In her panic, Marinette managed to blurt out, “We’re starting a fashion business!” Emilia looked at them skeptically, “Really?” It was too late to stop now, so Marinette continued with the story, “Yes! I am the head designer, Chloe and Luka are the models and Adrien is going to do the PR!” Emilia didn’t look convinced at all.
  --------------
Emilia hadn’t bought their story about the fashion business. But she didn’t think they meant any harm, so she would just let it go. She turned to leave, only to stop as Nino arrived and walked over to Emilia and the small group. He seemed confused when he saw his friends, which he was. “Hi dudes. What are you all talking about?” Before the small group could answer, Emilia jumps in saying, “Oh, these guys are starting a fashion business.” Nino is a little surprised by that, but just says, “Cool. Can’t wait to see what you dudes come up with!” With that he takes Emilia by the hand and heads to their usual table.
  --------------
Now the small group was really panicking. They didn’t have many options right now. The first option is that they continue the lie and try to hide their real intentions. The second option is to admit to the spying and tell Nino what they had really been doing. Neither option sounded very appealing. But then, Chloe interjected, “Well, why not make the lie come true. We could actually start a fashion brand. Then we aren’t lying to Nino, and most importantly, he will never find out we were stalking him. Marinette could finally launch her fashion brand. We would all get some work experience, and if all goes well, we might even get some money out of the deal. If Marinette’s brand actually takes off, we could make a lot of money.” The group seemed very apprehensive about it, Marinette especially. But with a little more convincing from Chloe, the rest of the group agreed to give it a try. Marinette spoke up, “Wait, what should we call the brand?” Chloe just rolled her eyes, “That is obvious, we can use your initials. Way easier to make logos from initials.” Adrien says, “Yeah, that is a good idea Chloe. Her initials would be perfect. The brand can be called MDC.” Slowly, the other members of the group started to grin. Marinette looks at everyone and says, “So, everyone ready to launch MDC?”
  --------------
After that, MDC took off pretty quickly. With the daughter of the mayor of Paris and Adrien Agreste backing the brand, how could it not do well? It wasn’t until a few years later, that Nino found out how all of this had happened. It was during an interview with the small team that this whole story came out. After Marinette finished telling the long story, Chloe summed it up, “Essentially, this whole thing started because we were spying on a friend of ours’ on his date and his girlfriend cornered us one day. It made us all panic and then Marinette just blurted out that we were starting a fashion brand. So, we actually started one to keep Nino from finding out.” Nino and Emilia were sitting at Nino’s place watching the interview and they were shocked. This is the first they had heard about any of this. The couple got a good laugh out of the story. To think that MDC, a now major fashion brand, never would have been made if Emilia hadn’t cornered Marinette and made her panic. So, that is the story of the formation of MDC. It wasn’t a revenge plot or anything dramatic. It was simply the result of Marinette panicking. It was without a doubt the best result of any of Marinette’s panicked moments.

Hello! I hope you're doing good :) I was hoping to make a request for Caleb x fem!reader where they're friends, and Caleb would like more. So he's making flirtatious/suggestive comments but they just go over her head because even though her English is very good it's not her first language (plus different time periods and location), and Caleb is confused and amused at first, but then just frustrated. Thank you ♥️
Ahoy! This was such a sweet scenario, I had a good time writing it, thank you! Hope you're doing awesome! ❤️
"Why didn't you tell me?" - Caleb Quinn/The Deathslinger x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
"Are you feeling alright?"
Caleb scoffed at the question, placing his Redeemer on the bar and sitting down next to you.
"I just brutally murdered four teenagers, and you're asking me if I'm alright?"
He looked at you with a smile he didn't hope came off too cocky, but you just shrugged and gave him a slight smile.
"I know the Entity punishes you if you... perform badly. Just wanted to make sure..."
You returned your attention to the clothes you were currently mending by hand, inserting the needle into the fabric to carefully drag the thread through.
"Trust me", Caleb said, stretching out his leg to relieve some pain. "If I was bein' punished right now, you wouldn't be here."
He cast a glance over at you, but all you did was hum in acknowledgement at this remark. Caleb felt a small sting of frustration at this. For weeks, he'd had feelings for you. Deeper feelings than friendship. Him being an old gump who'd never really cared for anyone besides himself, before he'd met you in this wretched place, he had no idea how to show his feelings towards you. He'd tried being extra nice towards you, without making it too obvious at first, but as you hadn't seemed to notice his change in behavior at all, he'd upped his pace a bit. He'd started to give you little compliments when he saw fit, about your hair, your hands, even your laughter. But you still didn't seem to catch on. You always smiled that friendly smile and you showed that you enjoyed his company, but Caleb felt like you didn't understand that he wanted more. Or maybe you just didn't feel the same way for him. Of course, that thought had entered his mind many times. After all, why would you feel any certain way about someone like him?
"Don't you ever feel... weird, about me killing yer friends and all?"
You looked up at Caleb, meeting his questioning gaze with something that resembled sadness. Caleb started wondering if maybe he shouldn't have asked that, and cursed himself for his stupidity, but to his surprise you answered:
"Not all of them are my friends. Some have done terrible things in the past."
Caleb let out a surprised hum, waiting for you to continue, but your gaze quickly turned warm as you gave him a little smile.
"Better to have few friends, but good ones, than be surrounded by false ones. Right?"
Caleb gave you a curious look, then returned the smile.
"True that, Y/N."
Damn, that smile of yours made him melt on the spot. He felt so ridiculous falling head over heels for you, not even knowing if you felt the same. That's a fool-proof way to get your heart broken.
"There, patched up once again!" you suddenly declared, lifting up the shirt you had worked on and folding it on the bar counter in front of you.
Caleb gave you a thumbs up and was about to get up to make himself a drink, but as he caught you eyeing him, he decided to stay put.
"What's the matter, doe-eye?" he asked, instantly kicking himself mentally for the stupid nickname.
You just studied him, seemingly pondering over something, and if Caleb wasn't mistaken, he thought he could see your gaze trailing towards his... chest?
"Would you mind if- I mean..." you stuttered, eyes darting up to Caleb's face and then down to his chest area again.
Caleb felt a tingle in his stomach, feeling a grin spread on his face. He turned his body towards you on the chair, discreetly straightening his back and pushing out his chest a bit.
"What's on yer mind, doll?"
To his wicked triumph, he could see you starting to blush.
"Y-You're allowed to say not, but.... I was just wondering, since I've got some extra thread left, if maybe you'd let me... fix those ugly holes in your shirt once and for all?"
Caleb blinked a couple of times in confusion. He looked down on his chest, eyeing the small holes in his shirt.
"Oh", he said, feeling a bit stupid. "Well, I... It's really not that big of a deal to me, but..."
"Please?" you gave him a pleading smile that relit the tingles in his stomach. "It's a really beautiful shirt, I'd hate to see it ruined."
Now it was Caleb's turn to feel his face heat up a bit. Stupid old gump, he thought you had other things in mind, but now that he considered it, letting you mend his shirt wouldn't be too bad either. He chuckled at your pleading face, and removed his duster coat and tossed it on the floor. Seeing your face light up with happiness was already worth it.
"It won't take long, I promise!" you said, scooching your chair closer to his and gripping the needle and thread.
"That's alright", Caleb assured you, trying hard to force away his wide smile. "Ain't nothin' wrong with a bit of pampering now and then."
He watched as you threaded the needle and leaned in towards his chest, a concentrated look on your beautiful face. As your warm hands touched his chest, Caleb couldn't stop himself from gasping quietly.
"I-I'm sorry!" you exclaimed, a worried look on your face as your eyes darted up to meet his. "Did I-"
"You're fine!" Caleb chuckled, shaking his head and cursing himself for being so skittish.
"It's just, these holes have been bugging me for quite some time..."
You trailed off and got to work, your nimble fingers quickly gathering the shirt and starting to thread the needle through the fabric. Caleb hoped to the gods that you couldn't feel his trembling heart as your hands were placed steadily on his chest while you worked. If you could, you didn't show it, your face not changing from it's concentrated state during the whole process. Caleb tried to keep calm, not thinking about how great it felt to have you touch him. How much he longed for your hands to trail around his chest, hug him tightly as you looked up at his face and met his gaze...
"Ah!"
"Shit, fuck, I'm so sorry!"
You had accidentally poked his skin with your needle, and as Caleb had jumped in surprise, the needle had poked even deeper.
"I-I'm so sorry, Caleb, shit, I'm so nervous working on someone else, I-" you stuttered, visibly embarrassed, but Caleb grabbed your hands quickly and squeezed them before he had time to think about what he was doing.
"Hey, Y/N, it's alright", he smiled, meeting your gaze.
The tingle in his stomach was a full on fire by now, and he wanted nothing more than to kiss you. But he couldn't, he mustn't, so he released your hands and quickly looked away with an embarrassed scoff. He felt you hesitate for a couple of seconds, before you got back to work on his shirt.
"It's almost finished", you assured him, the tone of your voice hard to read.
And soon enough, too soon, Caleb felt you retract from his chest. He dared look back at you as you put away the needle and he glanced down to study your work.
"My, I haven't had a shirt lookin' this nice in ages!" he declared, feeling the shirt where your fingers had patched up the holes.
He met your gaze, and you gave him a wide smile.
"Pleasure's all mine", you said.
"If only I could repay you some way..." Caleb smirked, but to his immense disappointment you just gave him a slightly confused look.
"It's alright, really", you said, still giving him that clueless smile as you moved to push your chair back to it's place.
That was the last straw for Caleb.
"Alright, I give up!" he growled in frustration, throwing his hands up in the air in defeat. "I don't know how y'all court these days but clearly I ain't fit for it! Can't believe I was this stupid..."
He muttered and turned away from you, feeling too embarrassed to look at you. He felt your confused gaze at him, and he wished he could just sink through the floor.
"Court?" you asked, and Caleb buried his face in his hands with a sigh. "W-What does food have to do with any of this?"
At this, Caleb looked back up from his hands, and then at you. "What?"
He narrowed his eyes in disbelief at you, but you just stared at him in growing confusion. A confusion that Caleb certainly mirrored by now.
"What do you mean?" he asked, and you shook your head with raised eyebrows.
"What do you mean?" you returned.
Caleb blinked a couple of times, then shook his head in a bewildered manner.
"I-I... Christ, Y/N", he said, turning towards you in an attempt to clear this mess up. "I like you, alright? You know that?"
To his frustration, you just blinked at him.
"I like you too, Caleb, what do you mean?"
Caleb growled and dragged his hand over his face, knowing that he might as well make the biggest fool out of himself now. He had nothing to loose, he was already looking so stupid.
"I'm in love with you, alright?" he spat out, waving his hands as to signal it was the most obvious thing in the world. "I love you, Y/N!"
He met your gaze, hoping for a quick response, but when he couldn't read your face, he decided to give up.
"Christ's sake..." he muttered, feeling his heart drop in his chest.
He got up from his chair and bent down to pick up his duster coat from the floor. Just as he was about to grab his Redeemer and walk out from the saloon, you called his name.
"Caleb!"
He stopped in his tracks, looking at you. A wide grin had taken over your face, a grin unlike any other he'd ever seen you have. You exclaimed something in a foreign language, and then jumped up from your chair.
"Caleb, I love you too! Why haven't you told me earlier?"
Now it was Caleb's turn to stare in confusion at you. You laughed, that amazing laughter that sent him flying high, and he couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"Why haven't I... Why, I oughta...!"
In one quick move, he'd embraced you tightly in his arms, and you laughed again as he hugged you as close as he'd wanted to for so long. Retracting to look at you, he met your joyful gaze and stroked your hair carefully.
"You're one mysterious thing, you", he chuckled, and you giggled as you carefully moved in for a kiss.
Caleb was more than happy to return the kiss.

Make it Work: Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Summary: When offered a permanent position with the FBI, Hailey agrees to take it under one condition: Jay comes too. As their personal lives and work lives begin to change, the two partners find it increasingly difficult to navigate their complex relationship and manage their feelings for one another. *Picks up at the 8x03 bar scene.
Writer’s Note: I’m so excited to share my first multi-chapter fic. I really enjoyed Hailey’s FBI episode and how seamlessly she was able to adapt to that world, so I thought it would be fun to explore how Jay might fit into that world and how different the adjustment may be for him. When writing the first chapter I was really inspired by the song (what i wish just one person would say to me) by Lany, because I felt like it fit Jay’s perspective perfectly. As much as our guy loves Hailey, he was always going to put her wishes above his own. That’s what the song is all about, so you can see a few lines inspired by the song sprinkled throughout the chapter (the title is also taken from the song). Please enjoy Chapter 1 of Make it Work!
Read on AO3 or below
“Alright. Let’s do this, rip the bandaid off. What did the FBI offer you?” Jay said straightly, trying to hide the worry that coursed throughout his entire body.
Earlier that day he had discovered the FBI had Hailey on their radar, and he hadn’t stopped thinking about it since. After what went down with his last partner, simply hearing someone say “FBI” left a bad taste in his mouth. He wouldn’t openly admit it, but he was worried about Hailey taking the offer. Ever since she had returned from New York, she had been fairly quiet about how it went. Her feelings seemed indifferent, but part of him had to wonder why she would hide the fact that they were sending her job offers. He hated the idea of being left alone again, but ultimately he just wanted what was best for her, even if that meant moving thousands of miles away.
Jay had been seeing Hailey differently for a while. He couldn’t pinpoint exactly when his feelings shifted, but he knew things were different. If anyone asked, she was his partner and his best friend, but he knew deep down that she was more than that. There were even a handful of moments when he almost told her how he felt but Jay, never a man of openly expressing his feelings, failed to get a single word out every time. He had fought those feelings for so long, keeping them hidden deep in the depths of his closed-off heart, but her time away in New York proved this impossible. He had picked her up from the airport when she got back in Chicago, and the second he saw her he couldn’t deny the way she set his heart aflame. So, hearing that the FBI was trying to steal her away permanently was messing with his head. He had sat on his concern all day, but his patience was running thin.
“Mm okay. Joint level task-force, with the HIG, all interrogations, all high-level targets,” she told him, a slight smirk on her face as she awaited his reaction.
“Sure.. Sure, sure, sure, yeah, that sounds awesome,” he said sarcastically as she chuckled. “Is it good pay?” He asked her, a sense of defeat in his voice.
“Great pay. Honestly made me a little embarrassed about what we get paid,” she said with a smile. This was not what he was hoping for, but he pressed forward.
“Well, you’d probably be really good at it,” he responded, feigning support as the words killed him inside. He knew she would be good at it, there was no doubt in his mind. The job sounded perfect for her, but he just hated where it was and what it could mean for them.
“Yeah,” she muttered, pausing briefly and looking out the window as if her next words were lingering somewhere outside and she was trying to find them. “Yeah, I hope so because I told them I would take it,” she finally said, her eyes slowly traveling back to his. The smile on her face was replaced by a look of sincerity. He felt his heart drop into his stomach as he clenched his jaw, trying to conceal the myriad of emotions consuming him.
“Well, I.. I’m happy for you,” he said unconvincingly before bringing his glass back to his mouth, taking a large swig of his drink. He couldn’t look her in the eye because he knew she’d be able to read right through him. So, he focused on the bottom of his glass, fingers fidgeting with the rim waiting for her to say something.
“Yeah, well I should be saying the same to you,” she told him. With this, he raised his eyes back up to meet hers and returned her words with a raised brow, sending a questioning look her way.
“I told them I wasn’t going anywhere without my partner, so they took a look at your file and they were very impressed by your background. They said if you’re good enough for me to bargain with, you must be worth having on their team,” she paused briefly and he watched her swallow hard before her next words. “Jay the offer is extended to the both of us.. that is if it is something you’re interested in,” she said, tilting her head to the side as she tried to read his reaction.
A moment of what felt like his world falling apart was now being strung back together with a sliver of hope for the two of them. Being a fed was never in any of Jay’s plans. In fact, he always found himself carrying an unwarranted detestation for them that made those government positions sound completely unappealing. He never imagined he’d be willing to give up Chicago, let alone his position in Intelligence, especially for a job with the feds, but if it meant being with Hailey he was going to consider it. Romantically or not he knew he needed her in his life and as he told her not too long ago, he would follow her anywhere.
“I- wha- I-“ he stuttered out, not being able to form a coherent word.
“Look, I know it is a lot to ask of you. I know it may not seem fair of me to offer you up like that without asking first, but the way I figured it, we’re good at our jobs and we’re good together. I mean new job, new city, it all sounded so crazy to me at first. I’ve never pictured myself anywhere outside of CPD, but then I took a step back and realized what it could mean big picture. My time in New York, the cases I was working, they showed me just how big and bad this world can be. I mean I was chasing after dudes that make guys like Darius Walker look like frickin saints. The whole time I just kept thinking, I could really see myself doing this every day. I felt fulfilled in a way I hadn’t in years, but every night I’d go home, especially after the bad ones, and I felt like something was missing. Then one night after a really bad one I was sitting in my hotel room, wallowing in the heaviness of that day and my phone rang. It was you calling to check up because you had a bad case too and you needed whatever this thing is between us that always seems to work. That’s when I realized what it was that was missing. It was you,” she shrugged, the corners of her mouth curling up in a shameful smile.
“Hailey..” Jay said as his eyes glossed over with tears. He sat there silently, looking into the endless depth of her eyes and hoping the right words would come to him. His thoughts were jumbled and he was having trouble grounding himself in reality. The whiplash of thinking he was losing the most important person in his life to hearing her tell him her life wasn’t complete without him left him in a state of disorient. He was relieved when she continued on before he had the chance to stumble over words once more.
“Look Jay, I don’t expect you to have an answer now. I just needed to tell you where I’m coming from so you’d have a full perspective to guide your decision. I know leaving Chicago, leaving our family at the 21st wouldn’t be easy, but I feel like this opportunity is something worth pursuing. I also think it’s something that would be made easier if we did it together,” she admitted, finishing her piece.
Her words echoed in his head as he seriously thought through the opportunity. Jay was wired to be a cop, to right wrongs, help victims find justice, and chase the highs of dangerous cases. He found his life’s purpose doing just that, starting in the Rangers and leading to his spot in Intelligence. He appreciated the fulfillment his work in Intelligence brought him, but what if he could do that on a much larger scale - with her by his side no less. All of a sudden he was picturing a life in New York and working at the FBI. He felt like it could make sense and it caught him by surprise, but it seemed clear.
“Do you remember when the unit was under siege and we thought it was the end of Intelligence? We had just gotten back from that major bust and we were talking about what would happen if we got shut down.. where we would go. Do you remember what I said to you?” He asked her, his newfound clarity allowed him to string a coherent thought together. She nodded in response.
“You told me you’re going where I go and that it’s hard to find a good partner,” she said softly, her eyes staying locked with his.
“I meant it then, and I mean it now. I’ve spent my whole life fighting to help people, and I like to think we’ve done some really great things in Intelligence. You were right when you said we’re good together, and if this job means we can make an even bigger difference than the one we do now, I’m all in,” he said, causing a big smile to form across her face.
“Yeah?”
“Hell yeah. I mean I’d like to know more about the position and everything, but if you say it’s worth it, then I trust you.. we’ll make it work. Plus, our thing just isn’t the same over the phone. You’d be lost without me,” he told her with a cheeky smile, eliciting an eye roll from her.
“Yeah, you mean you’d be lost without me,” she responded, standing from her chair to grab her coat. Jay laughed and took the check before rising to put his coat on as well. As they made their way to the door, Jay turned to face Hailey as a concerned look overcame his face.
“Wait- have you planned on how we’re going to tell Voight about this?” He asked. She returned his question with an expression matching his.
“Uh ah, I didn’t get that far. I didn’t think you would actually agree to be honest.”
“Come on, we’ve built a pretty strong partnership here, at least part of you had to think there was a chance I’d say yes,” he told her.
“Yeah, no I wasn’t thinking about that. I was thinking the fact that it’s a job with the feds and the idea of having to wear a suit everyday would have left no room for consideration,” she said with a chuckle. She pushed her body against the door, grimacing at the sudden sensation of the cold Chicago wind against her face, leaving a suspended Jay stood in the doorway.
“Suit.. everyday.. I-“ he said upon realizing that part of the job he hadn’t considered.
“Woah, woah, woah, you already said yes, no turning back now,” she teased. He groaned and dragged his feet out the door to join her in the cold. They walked shoulder to shoulder down the street in a comfortable silence.
“That doesn’t sound so bad you know,” she said, breaking through the silence as they reached their cars. She turned to face him, her eyes carrying a glimmer he hadn’t noticed before.
“Oh yeah, what’s that?”
“Getting to see you in a suit every day,” she said confidently before realizing the coy nature of the statement and bashfully looking away. Jay could feel the heat rush to his face despite the chilling wind blowing against him. He smiled down at his feet, hoping if she could notice the redness of his cheeks, she accounted it to the cold. There was a long pause before he brought his eyes back up to hers once again.
“See you tomorrow?”
“Yeah,” she said, placing a hand on his chest lightly before passing him to get into her car.
Jay wasn’t sure where their future was going or what direction it would take them, but he knew as long as she was in his life, he was set. His eyes followed her as she got in her car and started the engine. She gave him a small wave before pulling out into the street. Yet again there he was suppressing his feelings for his partner, but this time it felt worth it. A lot in their lives was about to change, he didn’t need to add the heaviness of his feelings to the mix. He was anxious about what was to come, but he ultimately felt content with his decision.

Auston and Amelia, where Amelia meets him home town friends
- Amelia meeting Auston friends from AZ for the first time
A.N. Hello! This was requested like ages ago and I had started to write it but never got around to finishing it. Then it got requested again so I decided to stop being lazy and finish it. I’m really happy with how this turned out and I hope you enjoy it as well. I also want to say that I don’t actually know who any of Auston’s friends are from Arizona so I made all of them up.
Word Count: 4,396
Warning: Talks of an abusive ex-boyfriend
Masterlist
“Auston we are having tacos tonight. Is that all right?” Ema asked as she turned the sink off and turned around to face the two of us as we sat at the kitchen table. The two of us had made it out for the weekend because Auston had a game on Friday but the next two days off. I had flown out on my own to meet Auston here and we were staying at his house but were spending most of our free time at his parents.
“Amelia and I are meeting some of my friends for drinks and food so we won't be here,” Auston said, looking away from me to her. She nodded her head before turning her attention to me with a small smile.
“Oh alright! Which friends?” she asked as she hung the towel on the rack before making her way over to join us at the table.
“Clayton, Matt, Brady, and Chucky. Some of their girls too,” Auston listed off. His mother nodded her head understandably. This was going to be my first time meeting any of Auston’s friends and I was extremely nervous.
“Oh how have they been?” she asked, clapping her hands together. He smiled at her as he started talking.
“Yeah they have been good, Clay’s been talking about this new job he has and he’s pretty happy with it. Says it pays pretty well,” he said running his hand through his hair.
“Oh that’s wonderful for him. Amelia, they are lovely people, it'll be fun for you,” Ema reassured me, reaching her hand out across the table and tapping my fidgeting hands. I smiled gratefully at her.
“Yeah I’m excited they sound like great people,” I smiled at the two of them as I reached up to tuck my hair behind my ear.
“What time are you guys going?” she questioned as she glanced down at her watch.
“Eh we should probably leave soon we said we'd meet at 6:30,” Auston mumbled as he glanced at the clock.
“Did you want to stop at mine first or are you good to go from here?” Auston asked, turning his attention to me. I thought about it for a moment before shrugging my shoulders.
“I should be fine but is there any chance I could borrow a sweater?” I asked, glancing between the two. I didn’t really care who gave me the sweater as I could borrow one.
“Yeah I have something in my room I’m sure,” Auston pushed himself up from his chair to go get it.
“Wait honey. I might have something better for her,” Ema said standing up and placing a hand on Auston’s arm to stop him from moving. She walked over to the closet that was in the hall near the front door and opened it up to pull out a black leather jacket. She walked back over to the two of us and held it out to me. She handed it over and I stood up to try it on. It was a bit longer and oversized then my normal leather jackets but it looked cute so I smiled happily at her.
“Thank you,”
“Oh it’s no problem, I’ve had it forever and don't wear it too often,” she grinned as she turned to face Auston again.
“I will get to see you tomorrow right?” she asked, him reaching out for a hug. He nodded his head as he hugged her back.
“Yeah we're going to come over for lunch before our plane,” Auston mumbled to her. Once they were done hugging she pulled away from him and turned to me to pull me into a hug. I hugged her back as tight as she held me and relaxed into the hug.
“Just call if you guys need anything,” Ema said to the two of us as she pulled away from our hug. I smiled sweetly at her as I followed Auston to the front door. We slipped our shoes on and then said our final goodbyes before making our way out the door.
“Babe,” Auston called out to me once we were outside of the house. I hummed as I looked up at him. He pulled me against his side as he led me to the car with an arm on my back.
“You excited?” he asked with a teasing grin. I felt myself pale slightly as I tried to nod back enthusiastically. He laughed lightly while opening the door for me. As I went to step into the car he pressed a kiss to my cheek causing me to blush bright red.
“I’m nervous,” I admitted as he went to close the door. He quickly made his way around the car and got in.
“Nervous for what?” he asked, raising an eyebrow as he buckled. I did the same as I shrugged my shoulders. I couldn’t place exactly what had made me so nervous to meet them other than the fact that I was meeting important people to Auston.
“What if they don’t like me?” I finally asked quietly over the sounds of Harry Styles singing on the radio. He had already started driving so he kept his eyes on the road as he answered me.
“That won’t be a problem. I don’t know anyone who doesn't like you,” he smiled trying to reassure me as he reached his hand out for mind and locked them together over the center console.
“But like what if they think I’m annoying or like not the right one?” I asked louder this time. His face scrunched up for a moment before his hand gave mine a gentle squeeze.
“Not the right one?” he asked with a high voice causing me to giggle slightly.
“I don’t know,” I shrugged, turning to look out the window feeling slightly embarrassed. Auston pulled into the parking space before turning to look at me.
“Listen babe. You're perfect, I know and they will too. You have absolutely nothing to worry about, they'll love you like I do,” Auston told me seriously, causing me to blush as he gave my hand another squeeze.
“Thanks,” I smiled at him. He grinned before leaning forward to press a kiss to my forehead.
“Ready to go?” he asked when he pulled away. I glanced out the window quickly before turning back to him and pulling him into a quick kiss. Then I pulled away and nodded my head as I reached for the door and hopped out. We met at the front of the car and Auston grabbed my hand as he led us to the host stand.
“Hi reservation under the name Lexi?” Auston told the host. She looked down at the list before looking back up at us.
“Yeah they are already at the table you can follow me,” she smiled before leading us over to the table of almost 10 people. I felt myself sink further into Auston’s side as all the people at the table turned to look at us.
“Papi made it,” someone with shaggy brown hair called out standing up from the table and walking over to us. He pulled Auston into a big hug causing him to let go of me, leaving me standing to the side awkwardly. I looked over the rest of the table which was a mix of guys and girls when suddenly I recognised one of the guys.
“Amy?” Kyle asked standing up from the table. I shared a shocked look with him as I waved shyly.
“You two know each other? Auston asked, pulling away from his hug and giving us a confused glance. I looked at Kyle before turning my attention back to Auston.
“Um uh yeah,” I coughed trying to hide how awkward I felt.
“Really that's cool I’m Kyle's girlfriend, Beth,” A beautiful brunette said standing up to hug me. I laughed awkwardly as I hugged her back.
“Oh awesome,” I turned back to Auston hoping the topic would change. Unfortunately I am not that lucky.
“How do you two know each other?” Beth asked, slipping her hand around Kyle’s waist. I scratched at the back of my neck as I tried to come up with something to say.
“We went to high school together,” Kyle answered for the both of us.
“And we dated,” I continued awkwardly. I watched as everyone at the table shared a look of shock before turning my attention back to Auston who also had a look of disbelief on his face.
“The two of you?” Beth asked, pointing to the two of us.
“Uh yeah,” Kyle answered shrugging his shoulders.
“Not for very long,” I provided, hoping to clear any of the tension that was going around. Auston’s hand slid out from mine causing me to panic slightly only to calm down when he slid his hand to rub reassuring at my back.
“Alright well let’s take a seat and maybe order a drink,” Auston suggested pushing me gently to the table. I gave him a grateful look as he pulled my chair out for me. He then took a seat to my right and with Kyle to my left. Everyone continued the conversion they were having before we arrived at the table.
“Aus, should we talk?” I asked not knowing if he was okay. He looked down at me with a thoughtful look before leaning in to whisper in my ear.
“Is he the one your dad hated?” he asked gently. I had told Auston about Kyle very briefly on one of our dates. My dad disapproved of him so much that it was one of the reasons we lasted as long as we did. I nodded my head slightly as I glanced at him and Beth talking. We ended on good terms. I just never expected to see him again.
“Yeah he was not a fan, he’s also the one that I got caught with,” I had told him the story about how we had been smoking weed in my room when my dad had caught us. He was so mad that he had kicked me out of the house for a week. He sent me a sad smile wrapping his arm around my shoulder and placing a kiss on my cheek.
“Wow,” he mumbled against my cheek.
“I’ve known him for like three years and I never knew,” he continued as he pulled away. I shrugged but as I went to talk we were interrupted by a boy with black hair and blue eyes talking to us.
“Hey Amelia it’s so nice to meet you. Papi never shuts up about you. I’m Clayton,” he said smiling softly at us. I grinned as I reached my hand out to shake his.
“Oh he never shuts up about you guys either,” I laughed as I tapped Auston on the shoulder. The three of us laughed.
“Auston said you worked for a magazine?” Clayton questioned as he raised his beer to take a sip.
“Yeah, It's a pretty popular magazine in Toronto. It covers almost everything from sports to fashion,” I said reaching out for the glass of water that was on the table.
“Do you want to share the nacho appetizer?” Auston asked me as he pushed the menu in front of me to take a look. Once I read over the description of the nachos I eagerly nodded my head. Almost everyone at the table already had their drinks and some type of food on the table.
“Sounds good babe,” I told him, reaching under the table to pat his leg. He smiled sweetly at me before turning to the server.
“We're going to share the nachos and I’ll have a modelo and she'll have a vodka pink lemonade,” he ordered for the two of us as he closed the menu. I smiled sweetly at the two before turning my attention back to Clayton.
“What do they have you write about?” he asked.
“I was writing about fashion when I first started there but they are trying to transfer me to the sports department,” I said shrugging my shoulders casually. Honestly they had been trying to get me to switch ever since I started dating Auston but I had been extremely against the idea since the beginning.
“I bet Allsya here would love to read all the fashion stuff you've written,” he said as he pointed to the beautiful girl to his right.
“Yes, I model here in Arizona,” she said joining the conversation. I gave her a soft smile as I glanced to her shyly.
“I actually think I’ve seen you on the runway,” I admitted as I thought back to a show that I had attended at the beginning of the summer right after I had met Auston on the plane.
“It was a swimsuit catalog and your pieces were amazing. I wrote about them in the magazine,” I continued as the server set our drinks and nachos down. I picked up my drink right away and took a small sip as she started talking.
“Oh my god! I remember that! I read the article too, oh my god Clay I told you about her article it was one of the best ones that was published after that weekend,” she said, shaking his arm slightly.
“Oh wow thank you,” I blushed as I set my drink down. I reached in for a nacho and took a big bite.
“How did the two of you meet?” Allsya asked after a brief pause in conversation. At the question everyone at the table turned their attention to us to hear the story.  I glanced over at Auston seeing as I had just shoved food in my mouth hoping that he would tell them. He smiled before shrugging his shoulders.
“We met on the plane ride to Arizona from Toronto. I sat next to her and she started rambling about how she was a nervous flyer,” he started to say but I let out a slight gasp.
“No I didn't, I told you once that I was not a good flyer and anyway you were the one who started talking to me first,” I said, cutting him off. Everyone at the table let out a laugh at that.
“We talked the whole flight and then I got her number after and we went out on a date and the rest is history,” he finished as he took a sip of his beer. I shared a sweet smile with him as I also lifted my drink up to take a sip.
“Where’d you take her?” Matt asked.
“He took me to chipotle then we went to his house,”  I told them. They all let out a laugh.
“Sounds like Papi was trying to show off,” Clayton mumbled, causing the table to laugh again. Auston tried to hide his blush by leaning his chin on his hand.
“It was really fun,” I told them honestly as I reached for more nachos.
“So how long have you guys been dating?” a girl I didn’t recognise yet asked from across the table.
“Uh about 10 months,” Auston told her as he sent me a soft smile. I sent him one in return as I rested my hand on his leg under the table.
“I want to hear the story of how the fuck Kyle and Amelia know each other,” someone blurted out from the other end of the table. I felt the blood drain from my face not feeling comfortable talking about this with a group of strangers.
“Nah we don’t have to talk about this,” Kyle said, picking up his own beer and taking a long sip.
“C’mon it’s got to be a good story. It’s crazy that you two even know one another,” Matt said. Kyle glanced at me out of the corner of his eye and I shrugged my shoulders. I knew they would keep asking if we didn’t answer them.
“It’s not that great of a story. Were from the same hometown and we dated for like a month after my mom died,” I told the table. Auston’s hand reached down to grip mine that was on his leg.
“We broke up when my dad caught us smoking weed in his house,” I continued.
“That was pretty funny though,” Kyle mumbled. I glanced at him with a smile as I thought back to the moment. It was pretty funny up until the part that I had gotten kicked out but I had never told Kyle that part.
“Yeah. But what I really want to know is how you met the beautiful Beth,” I told him as I sent her a soft smile. Her face lit up at the question as she went into the details of how the two met at college here in Arizona.
After another few rounds of drinks a few of Auston’s friends started leaving so that it was just Kyle, Beth, Matt, Lexi, Allsya, and Clayton.
“So you guys have known each other almost all your life?” I questioned Matt, Clayton, and Auston as I took a sip from the beer that Auston had ordered for me after a few vodka drinks.
“Yeah we all played hockey together actually,” Clayton said.
“Yeah but we weren’t very good so we stopped pretty early but Auston still hung out with us after,” Matt joked.
“We did everything together and went on a lot of trips together too,” Clayton continued.
“Oh fun. What was he like when he was younger?” I asked them hoping to get something juicy on him.
“Pretty much the same as he is now. Likes things to go his way, and he loves himself of course,” Matt teased, Auston rolled his eyes as he wrapped his arm behind me resting it on my chair.
“He was really possessive,” Clayton said, causing me to raise an eyebrow.
“Oh?” I said waiting for him to continue.
“He hated sharing anything. He was so possessive of his stuff it was kind of funny actually. If someone stole his favorite stick or toy he would throw a fit until someone gave it back,” Clayton finished. I let out a loud laugh as I threw my head back.
“Oh my god. Two weeks ago I was wearing his favorite sweatshirt and he wanted to wear it and he threw a thirty minute fit until I took it off so he could wear it,” I told the table as I let out another laugh, the rest of the table joining in.
“Alright we can stop talking about me now,” Auston pouted as he leaned his chin on my shoulder. I laughed as I leaned closer and pecked his lips quickly. I was starting to feel a bit tipsy. Auston narrowed his eyes at me when I pulled away so that he went cross-eyed causing me to let out a giggle. When I was drunk or tipsy I tended to display more PDA. Auston was always a fan of PDA but I hadn’t been so I knew moments like this when I let myself go he really enjoyed it
Kyle started telling us a story about his new job and I felt myself growing bored rather quickly. Deciding that I would have to make my own fun I slid my hand back onto Auston’s thigh. We had been at this bar for almost four hours now and he had stopped drinking almost two hours ago so that he would be sober to drive us home. I slid my hand higher up on his thigh as I leaned in so I could whisper into his ear.
“I was wondering if you could take me home and fuck me.”
His breath hitched at my words. He glanced around to make sure nobody had heard me before sliding his own hand onto my thigh so that it was gripping my inner thigh. He slowly slid his hand up my leg but then abruptly stopped.
“Be a good girl,” he mumbled against my ear as he pressed a kiss to the side of my head and removed his hand completely. I huffed slightly annoyed before turning back to pay attention to what was being said at the table. I finished my beer as I listened to Clayton and Auston talk about a trip they were trying to plan for the summer.
“Alright well I think we're going to head out. We got a big day of travel tomorrow,” Auston told everyone as he stood up and then helped me up from my chair. Everyone else stood up and there was a round of hugs before we were all making our way out of the bar and to our own cars.
“Did you have fun?” Auston asked, he wrapped his arm around my shoulder as we made our way back to the car.
“I did. It was fun to meet the people you grew up with,” I said softly as I leaned into his side.
“Although I really wasn’t expecting you to be friends with Kyle,” I admitted as we turned the corner and approached the car. He walked over to my side and opened the door for me.
“We met through Clayton. They were roommates at AU and got along. He’s a pretty cool dude to be honest. Not sure how I feel about the fact that you two dated though,” he helped me up into my seat after I almost tripped over the curb I let out a little giggle as I settled into the seat. I pulled my buckle on as Auston walked around the car and hopped in.
“It was in high school it was barely even dating. Like all we ever did was make out we made it to like second base maybe twice. I mostly just needed a friend at the time and he was a good one,” I told him as I thought back on the difficult time I had been going through when I lost my mother.
“It’s just weird that I’ve known him longer then you and like youve told me stories about him but I’ve never connected them to my friend Kyle,” he reached his hand out to hold mine. I smiled down at our interlocked hands before leaning onto the center console so that I could look at Auston’s face.
“Yeah, do you think it’s weird?” I asked softly.
“No not really. I mean we all have a past and we can't change it. It's nothing I can’t handle, baby,” he answered. I felt my heart warm at his response as I leaned back in my chair and closed my eyes.
“If I was with Nick and this happened he would have slapped me,” I sleepily mumbled out. I heard Auston suck in a harsh breath as the silence overtook the car.
“He would have slapped me the second we got into the car and then we would have driven to my apartment in silence. He would have followed me up to my room and he would have apologised and because I would be too scared to do anything I would say it was okay,” I took a deep breath as I revealed all of that to Auston. I slowly opened my eyes and turned to look at his face scared to see the expression that would be waiting for me.
“It feels really great to know that you would never do that to me. You make me feel so safe,” I finished holding in a sob. Auston had just pulled up to his house so he put the car in park and turned to face me.
“Babe,” his voice broke as he said it. He cleared his throat as he shook his head, probably trying to piece together his thoughts. I had probably surprised Auston considering I never brought up Nick on my own. I had told him about the things that Nick had done to me in the past but I had yet to share everything. Mostly just because I was happy now and it wasn’t something that I thought of a lot. His hand squeed mine gently.
“I’m so sorry that you went through what you did, but I am so happy that I can make you feel safe. I also want you to know that you're the love of my life and I will never let anything happen to you again,” Auston told me softly as he stared into my eyes. I knew that I could trust every word he was saying.
“ I know. Let’s go inside,” I whispered. He nodded his head as he turned the car off and we both made our way out and inside his house.
“I’m really tired,” I mumbled as I slid my heels off. Auston slipped his shoes off before glancing at me with a fond look in his eyes.
“Let’s go up to bed,” he said, reaching out to rub his hand up and down my back.
“I know I wanted to have sex but can we just do that in the morning,” I asked as I made my way up the stairs. Auston let out a laugh as he led me into the bathroom. He grabbed a makeup wipe and handed it to me before standing behind me so he could tie my hair up in a ponytail for me.
“Yeah babe whatever you want,” Auston leaned forward and pressed a kiss to the back of my neck. I rubbed my makeup off before glancing up at us in the mirror.
“Hey Auston,” I mumbled quietly.
“Huh?” he whispered into my neck as he hugged me from behind.
“You're the love of my life too,” I reached down for his hand and lifted it up to my lips so I could press a kiss on it.
He turned me around so that he could press me into the counter and pressed a sweet kiss to my lips. When he pulled away he led us to the bedroom, we both changed into our pajamas and then climbed into bed. Auston turned the tv on before spooning up behind me.
“What do you want to watch?” he asked. I glanced towards the tv before shrugging.
“Anything I’m going to fall asleep any minute,” I mumbled. I drifted off to sleep as Auston watched That 70s Show.

MY MASTERLIST / DEAN WINCHESTER MASTERLIST
MY TAG LIST
You paced the bathroom floor, gnawing on your lip as you continuously checked the time on your phone. 2 minutes seemed to take 20 years as you waited to see the test results. As the time changed to 2:18, you sighed, shoved your phone into your pocket and walked over towards the sink.
The two pregnancy tests you had taken were flipped over on the cool, white porcelain. Your hands shook as reached for the sticks and flipped them over in your hands to see the results.
Positive.
You clamped a hand over your mouth, trying to stifle your emotions that began to flood through you. You didn’t know whether you were happy, scared or both.
You and Dean hadn’t been trying to get pregnant, but you weren’t exactly being careful either. With everything that had happened within the last few months, Chuck trying to kill everyone, defeating him, Jack taking his powers and disappearing, dealing with the loss of Cas, this was the last thing that you wanted to happen. Emotions within the bunker were still running high and you didn’t know how Dean was going to cope with this news.
A knock on the door made you jump, scaring you out of your thoughts, “Y/N?” Dean’s gruff voice, muffled by the door, showed slight concern, “Are you okay in there? You’ve been in there awhile.”
You shoved the pregnancy tests into the waistband of your jeans and wiped the tears off your face that you hadn’t realized escaped from your eyes. “Yeah babe,” you cleared your throat, “I’m okay. I’ll be out in a sec.” You turned on the sink and washed your hands as you stared at yourself in the mirror.
“Okay,” you could hear him sigh softly, “Sammy and I just finished making dinner. Come to the kitchen when you’re done, okay?”
You nodded to yourself, “Okay, thank you!” You sighed with relief when you heard Dean’s boots trudge away from the bathroom.
You took one last glance at yourself in the mirror. “How am I going to tell him? You sighed as you pushed away from the sink, the pregnancy tests poking you in the side with every sway of your hips within your stride.
Walking towards the warn, dark wood door you took a deep breath before opening it. You peaked into the hallway, making sure the boys weren’t around before sliding out of the bathroom and jogging towards your shared room with Dean. You dipped into your room, Dean’s warm apple and bourbon musk enveloped your senses, calming you slightly as you looked for a spot to hide the positive tests.
Settling on your dresser, you walked towards the aged, red stained oak cabinet you received from your late grandmother. It was one of the few things that you were able to keep from your life before hunting. You opened up the bottom drawer that you kept miscellaneous memorabilia from your life, and tucked the tests underneath a picture of you and your grandma. You smiled, knowing she would have been ecstatic to hear about the news of you being pregnant. You shut the drawer and made your way out to the kitchen so Dean didn’t try looking for you again.
You walked through the bunker halls slowly, lost in thought. You didn’t notice when Dean walked up to you, “Hey, Y/N? Babe, are you okay?”
You looked up, “Wh-What? Yeah, I’m fine.”
“Are you sure?” He grabbed your hand and started walking towards the kitchen with you, “You seem… off.”
You nodded and smiled towards him, his olive-green eyes sparkling with wonder and shaded with worry, “I’m okay,” you squeezed his hand, “I promise.”
He nodded and pursed his lips, “Okay.”
You rounded the corner into the kitchen, the smell of chicken alfredo floated through the kitchen. You smiled at the boys, “You guys made my favorite?” Both Sam and Dean smiled and nodded, “Why?”
Dean walked away from you and rounded the center metal island, “You’ve done a lot for us the last couple months, keeping us together with everything that was going on, it’s the least that we could do.” He grabbed a plate and spooned a heaping proportion of alfredo onto it and handed it to you, “Plus you’ve done all the cooking while Sammy and I ran around and did research, we probably would have died of starvation if you weren’t here.”
You chuckled as you grabbed the plate from him, “Well, thank you guys. I appreciate it.”
The three of you sat and ate, joking around, replaying memories and just enjoying your time together. The boys didn’t have strings attached to them anymore, they weren’t gods puppets.
They were finally free.
After dinner, you helped the boys clean up and you all ventured into the ‘Dean Cave’ to watch a movie together.
You enjoyed the night and your time with the boys, but your news was still nagging at you. Your mind became more and more clouded as the night went on.
As you crawled into bed, Dean followed suit close behind. “Hey babe,” he drawled as he crawled up your body, settling himself between your legs. He kissed you softly and smiled, “Did you enjoy tonight?”
You giggled softly and nodded, “I did. Thank you guys. It was nice after the last couple months.”
Dean nodded with you and then winked, “Well, hopefully I can make you enjoy your night a lot more.”
“Oh yeah?” You teased, “How are you going to do that Mr. Winchester?”
He licked at his lips as he eyed you up and down, acting like a predator sizing up his prey, “Oh baby, you’re about to find out.”
Your giggles turned into soft moans as his lips trailed over your body, giving attention to every scar and bruise that littered your body. His fingers trailed behind his lips until they stilled against your cheeks. He fixed himself in his original position between your legs and kissed you, rougher and more passionate than before.
You began melting underneath him, the familiar and welcoming warmth of arousal began building in your belly as his fingers trailed down your body and pulled at your panties. He slipped the fabric down your legs slowly, breaking the kiss to shift himself down the bed to settle his head in between your legs.
He started slow, kissing your lower stomach and moving towards your inner thighs, making you squirm beneath him with need. Dean always liked drawing things out, making you more aroused with the anticipation of him touching you.
Soon, his lips wrapped around your clit. Your hands clenched at the bed sheets as he began sucking lightly on the pink bud. His lips and tongue worked quickly, his ministrations heightened your excitement, spreading your arousal through your body like wildfire. But, Dean being Dean, he stopped while you were right on the edge of climaxing so he could finish you off with his member.
Dean trailed kisses up your body before leaning back on his heels between your legs and lining himself up with your entrance. You looked up from his groin as his face and smirked. His bottom lip was caught between his teeth as he concentrated with a furrowed brow before sinking into you.
You gasped with pleasure as Dean began thrusting slow and deep but worry settled into your stomach as you thought about the fetus growing inside you. You tried your hardest to continue to be in the moment, trying to enjoy this intimate time with your boyfriend but you didn’t succeed. Soon, Dean’s thrusts began to falter, signifying his climax quickly approaching.
Dean came with a soft groan, placed one last kiss on your lips and then rolled over from above you to lay in his spot beside you. “Di-did you… you know?” He trailed off as he looked at the ceiling.
You shook your head and sighed, “No.”
Dean flipped to his side to face you, propped himself up on his elbow and placed his free hand on your stomach, “Are you sure you’re okay, Y/N? You’ve been acting weird all day.”
Your stomach dropped as he rubbed at your belly, not knowing what was inside you but you turned your head towards him with a soft smile, “I’m okay, I promise.”
His brows furrowed slightly, eyes darkened with worry before he smirked, trying to believe you. “Okay.” He sighed and laid down, turning off the bedside light, “If there is something going on, will you tell me though?”
You shook your head even though he couldn’t see it in the dark, “Of course babe.”
“Okay,” he said with a grunt as he turned on his side away from you.
Tears filled your eyes, knowing that you had upset Dean, but you didn’t know how you were going to tell him the news. You rolled onto your side and cried yourself, silently, to sleep.
—————————
Two days had passed since that night. Two days full of awkward energy between the two of you because neither of you could talk to the other about two totally separate topics.
You sighed as you threw a few more things into your duffle bag before zipping it and throwing it over your shoulder. You looked around your shared room with Dean once more with tear filled eyes and a melancholy smile. Dean was out on a supply run and probably a long drive with Baby, so it was the perfect time to get out.
You didn’t want to leave but, with how things have been going, you figured some time away from each other would help the both of you. You trudged through the bunker slowly. Your mind was pushing your forward while your heart wanted to stay behind.
You rounded the corner to the war room, and walked towards the stairs as you dragged your fingers across the map table.
“Y/N?”
Startled, you turned quickly with fists up and sighed, dropping your hands to your sides, when you realized who startled you, “Yeah, Sam?”
He smirked and then became serious, “Where are you going?”
You shrugged, “I’m going to go hole up in a motel for a couple days.”
He set the book of lore he had in his hands down onto the map table, “Why?” He crossed his arms over his chest, “Because of what’s going on between you and Dean?”
“Wha-How do you know about that?” You asked with a furrowed brow.
He scoffed, “It’s really easy to tell when something is bothering you two.” He walked around the map table towards you, “Running away from this won’t fix this Y/N, you need to talk to Dean about whatever is going on between you two.”
You sighed, “I know Sam, but I just,” you paused and rubbed your face, “I don’t know how to talk to him about what’s going on with me.”
“Why not? I thought you two told each other everything?”
You smiled, “We do, it’s just what I have to tell him is big.”
“Bigger than defeating God?” Sam said with a chuckle.
You laughed along with him, “I don’t know about that but,” you stopped as Sam looked at you quizzically. You pursed your lips and sighed, contemplating on telling Sam the news before Dean. Your brain got the best of you and “I’m pregnant,” fell out of your mouth like vomit.
Your eyes widened along with Sam’s as he processed the news, “You-you’re pregnant?”
You nodded sheepishly, “I am.” You walked past Sam and sat at the map table, letting your duffle fall from your shoulder and hit the floor with a loud thud, “And I don’t know how to tell him.” You put your head in your hands, “And because of this news, it made stuff,” you trailed off as you peaked between your fingers towards the gentle giant that was now sitting across from you at the table, “in bed the other night get a bit awkward.”
Sam shook his head, “That’s all I need to hear.” He sat forward in his chair, “You need to talk to him, Y/N.”
“I know, Sam. I will.”
----------------------------
You felt large, warm arms wrap around your waist and calloused fingertips rake over the bare skin of your belly that was peeking out from under your shirt, “Hey babe,” Dean whispered gruffly.
You rubbed at your sleep ridden eyes, unsure of when you fell asleep, “Hey baby,” you smiled, “How was the supply run?” You were surprised he came into bed to wake you up with how things had been going.
You could feel him smile against your shoulder, “It would have been better with you.” You giggled as he kissed your shoulder, “The drive gave me time to think though.”
You turned in his arms to face him, “What did you think about?”
Dean caressed your cheek softly and smirked, “Us.” You raised a brow towards him, “Before, you say anything, I want to apologize.” he licked his lips and captured the bottom one between his teeth, “I’ve been immature about the other night, it’s just,” he sighed, “I’ve never had a hard time making you cum. I’ve always prided myself with that and the other night just made me feel like maybe something was happening to us. Maybe-,” you placed a finger on his lips to stop him.
You smiled softly, “I promise you Dean, it wasn’t you. It was all me.” You rolled away from him and walked towards your dresser as Dean sat up to watch you with a puzzled look. You pulled at the bottom drawer, lifted your grandmother's picture and pulled out the pregnancy tests. You turned towards Dean with a sigh, trying to hide the pregnancy tests between your hands the best you could as you sat in front of him on the bed. “I was distracted the other night because of this.” You held the tests out towards Dean, “I-I’m pregnant, Dean.”
Dean grabbed the tests from your hands and stared at the two little pink lines on both sticks, “You’re pregnant?”
You shook your head, “I am.” You chuckled, “That’s what my issue was the other night. I was so worried about the baby and how I was going to tell you that I just couldn’t cum.”
He laughed, startling you slightly, “You’re pregnant!” He looked up at you, eyes shining with excitement, “Before, I would have worried about something like this but now? Now that we’re free from Chuck’s puppet strings? Thi-this is the best news.” Dean rubbed his mouth as he began to tear up, “I’m going to be a dad.” He got up out of bed and walked towards the door, “I’ve gotta tell Sammy!” He ripped open the door and yelled, “SAMMY!”You giggled as Dean jogged through the bunker calling his brother's name.
He took the news much better than you expected.
You got out of bed and followed Dean slowly. You walked through the halls, listening for the boys, surely, loud conversation. As you neared the library, you could hear Sam and Dean. You peaked around the corner of the doorway in the map table room to watch the interaction between the brothers.
Dean’s back was towards you but you could imagine the beaming smile plastered across his face as he practically jumped in place, “I can’t believe it. Can you? Me? A DAD, Sammy?”
Sam chuckled at his brother as he got up from his seat and dropped the book he had in his hands onto the worn oak, “Yeah, Dean.” He walked towards his brother and gave him a hug, “You raised me.” Sam patted Dean’s back and pulled away from the oldest Winchester, “You’ll do great.”
You smiled and ducked back into the hallway. You wanted Dean to have his moment with his brother, so you walked back to your shared bedroom. You laid in bed and scrolled through social media on your phone. Only a few minutes passed by before Dean came running into your bedroom, stopping just inside the doorway and grabbing the door to shut it. “How’d it go?” You asked feigning ignorance.
Dean crawled into bed beside you, “Great! He’s happy to be an uncle.”
You giggled as you turned onto your side to face him, “I’m glad.” You placed a soft kiss on his lips and smiled, “I’m glad we can actually enjoy this and not worry about some outside force ruining things.”
He caressed your cheek and looked deeply into your eyes with a small smirk, “I know. If this happened 6 months ago, I would have been a wreck.” He cleared his throat as his eyes grew darker, “Enough about that,” he almost growled. “I want to make up for the last few days.”
“Oh?” You questioned, “How are you going to do that?”
He bit his lip before he pushed you onto your back and crawled between your legs, “I’m going to make you cum, one time for everyday things were weird between us.” He pulled at your shorts with an impish grin, “You better be ready, baby.”

Hey, @atomicdetectivehideout I’m happy to be your  @destielsecretsanta2020
Merry Christmas! Please, accept my humble gift for the holiday. It’s a 3k of fluff and stuff (well, when I say fluff, I mean, I really tried!). I sincerely hope you enjoy it.
Thank you to the most awesomest people to ever awesome @campchitaquamemories and @amyoatmeal for offering to beta this little thing. You guys rock!
Here it is on ao3 if you prefer
Those Things That Couples Do
Come to think of it, it wasn’t such a lame idea. Not lame at all, Dean thought, to the extent he might even have to thank Sam later. Well, maybe not outright thank him, but definitely bake a cherry pie for Eileen (her favorite; the woman sure knew how to enjoy life). It felt nice, lying on the bed with Cas in the semi-darkness, Christmas lights on the dresser and a couple of the apple cider and cinnamon scented candles Cas liked so much (and Dean grumbled about but secretly enjoyed too) being the only source of light. It felt cozy. Safe. They talked in hushed voices so as not to disturb the quiet magic of the bubble they had created in that moment, and dammit, but Dean was grateful to his brother and soon-to-be sister-in-law for this particular chick-flick.
“So, you sure you want this to go on your list as the first item?” Dean nudged Cas gently with an elbow. “Sick of my cooking already? I’m hurt, man,” he added, only half-jokingly.
The idea Eileen pitched to them was to write down three items each to reflect their hopes and plans for the upcoming year. At first, Dean laughed when Sam handed him a blue envelope with four blank craft paper cards to be written on. He had been about to suggest Sam find someone more age-appropriate to participate in that particular brand of cute (Dean could almost see the faces Claire and Kaia would make at the suggestion), but Cas’s quiet ‘It’s a lovely idea’ made him silently accept the package at the last second. This provided Sam with the pleasure of witnessing his older brother biting his tongue and smiling reassuringly at Cas who’d been busy searching Dean’s face for a reaction.
Per the rules Sam had explained to them, they were supposed to write down their plans (which they were encouraged to discuss, because that’s apparently what couples do) and complete a bonus task – individually, this time – describing where they see themselves next year at Christmas. Then, they were to seal their envelope and give it to Sam and Eileen for safekeeping, accepting theirs in exchange. That way next year there would be an additional reason to spend Christmas together and see which things have come to pass.
“Stop fishing for a compliment. You know your cooking is delicious.” Cas turned to look at Dean. “I want to be able to do nice things for you, Dean. Like you do for me. Cooking for people you care about is how you show affection and those small, but meaningful gestures go a long way. I’d love to be able to surprise you with a breakfast pie in bed, or make soup for when you catch a cold, or-“ Dean interrupted him with a chaste and gentle kiss on the lips. “You had me at the breakfast pie, Cas. Cooking and baking: 101 it is.” Cas smiled, reached for Dean’s hand, and pressed a kiss to his knuckles. Laying back on the pillow, he rested Dean’s hand on his belly, gently stroking the fingers. Dean closed his eyes and sighed contentedly.
“What will you put as your first item?” Cas asked a moment later.
“That’s easy,” Dean murmured into Cas’s shoulder. “Beach vacay. Never had the time for that before. What do you think about some sand between our toes? Maybe even skinny-dipping with enough margaritas?”
“You do look extremely hot in those aviators of yours,” Cas replied in a thoughtful voice, as if mulling it over. “And skinny-dipping does sound promising. A beach vacation certainly belongs on that list.”
“Cas, if you want me naked and in sunglasses, that can be arranged anytime, anywhere.”
“I want you in those cut-off shorts of yours, and then I want you out of them,” Cas continued in a low voice, and Dean felt the hairs on his arm stand up under Castiel’s fingertips. “I want to explore your sun-kissed skin and count the freckles on your back. I want you to enjoy yourself in all the ways that appeal to you, so yes. You’re writing that down. I’m taking you to the beach.”
“Just like that?” Dean asked, teasingly. “Pretty goal-oriented, aren’t you?”
Cas glared at him; Christmas lights caught in his dark blue eyes. “I was a Seraph, Dean. Goal-oriented was in the job description.”
“Bossy,” Dean suggestively wiggled his eyebrows.
“You like that.”
“Touché.”
Cas turned on his side, facing Dean. They were lying so close now they breathed the same air, noses just shy of touching. Dean took Cas’s hand and laced their fingers, nudging a knee between Cas’s thighs. “What else is on your list?” Dean asked.
Cas didn’t answer right away, and Dean closed his eyes to bask in the warmth of their bodies.
“There’s a small plot of land behind the bunker,” Cas began, “I was wondering whether it’s okay with you and Sam if I make a garden there?” He sounded uncertain, for some unknown reason, and Dean frowned at that. “It wouldn’t be anything fancy, just some flowerbeds with sunflowers or maybe lavender-“
“Cas,” Dean interjected, still frowning, “why would you even ask? You don’t need anyone’s permission to do what you want to do, come on. The bunker belongs to you just as much it does to me or Sammy or Eileen or the rest of our extended family.” He propped himself up on one elbow and gently freed his hand from Castiel’s hold to cup his cheek. “If you want a garden, I’ll help you make one. Or just as happily will mind my own business if it’s something you want to do on your own. Okay?”
“Thank you, Dean,” Cas whispered, earnestly. And it wasn’t about the garden, really. It was about being reassured he belonged, was wanted. Accepted.
“You should definitely add the garden to your list, Cas. And, while we’re on the topic, there was actually something I wanted to ask you about.” Dean cleared his throat, his heart rate quickened. He’d been thinking about this for quite a while, but never seemed to find the right moment to broach the topic. Frankly, he’d never felt brave enough to do so. Why mess up a good thing? But the idea lived in his head rent free, and there was no lying to himself, no tricking his mind out of it. “What would you say about a real garden, though?  With an apple tree, some benches, maybe even a gazebo? Where you can plant all kinds of flowers to appease those honeybees of yours?”
“That- That sounds lovely, Dean,” Cas replied, obviously a little bit at a loss. “What do you have in mind?”
Dean was grateful it was dark in the room because he could feel himself blushing, chest burning as if someone had put a hot iron on it. He took a deep breath that didn’t do much to lessen the anxiety.
“Remember, back in Sioux Falls, Bobby’s old property?” Dean paused, waiting for Castiel to nod in agreement. “So, it’s all still there. It’s a pretty big plot of land, and the house burned down, obviously, but I was thinking,” the words kept jumping one in front of the other, and Dean felt the blush deepen, desperately hoping Cas would understand what he was trying to say. “I ain’t that bad at rebuilding things, and, of course, it’s gonna be quite a lot of work, but who doesn’t like a fixer-upper, right? There’s the salvage yard, too, we can do something with that. I’m sure Bobby wouldn’t mind, and there shouldn’t be any problems with the documents, given who’s the sheriff in town. And that way you and I get to be closer to Claire, and Donna, the whole gang-“
“You and I?” Cas asked quietly, and Dean took a deep breath, grateful for the interjection.
“You and I. And some bees, apparently,” Dean gave Cas a weak smile, searching his eyes.
Green met blue, and for the better part of a minute (eternity, really) Cas just kept looking at him silently. Dean’s heart was hammering in his chest so loudly, he wondered if maybe he just couldn’t hear Cas’s answer because of the pounding in his ears. But Castiel’s lips didn’t move, and Dean felt like he couldn’t breathe, like he needed to get out before he went into a full-blown panic attack. It was too much. Why would Cas want to leave the bunker? It was way safer there. There were other people, hunters, coming and going, Sam and Eileen lived barely an hour away, why would he even consider moving in with Dean, let alone-
Suddenly, Cas was on Dean, left hand on Dean’s pillow for support, right hand cupping Dean’s face. Cas pressed kisses everywhere, holding on to Dean like it was the last thing on Earth worth doing. Cas moved his hand into Dean’s hair, gripping tight, and Dean moaned, capturing Cas’s mouth with his own, deepening the kiss. Dean’s anxiety turned into exhilaration, because that was very clearly a yes, and somewhere at the back of his mind he wondered if maybe he’d just suffered a mild heart attack. In mere seconds, though, his body went pliant under Cas’s weight, the kiss grew even more urgent and heated. Dean’s brain short-circuited, the only thing that registered was the press of Cas’s groin to his own, the sounds Cas was making, the texture of his tongue, the softness of his palms, his smell, his taste, the overwhelming need to be closer, to become one, to forget there ever was an outside world at all. But as Dean slipped his hands under Cas’s T-shirt, Cas groaned and broke the kiss, panting. He pressed his forehead to Dean’s, eyes closed and breathing heavy.
“I believe we’ve gotten carried away,” Cas said, hoarsely. “We still have to finish the lists before Sam leaves for Eileen’s.”
“Screw Sam,” Dean rasped, “I don’t care, just take off your clothes and keep kissing me senseless.”
Cas growled and bit his lip to keep himself from grinding.
“There will be no screwing Sam,” he said in a low voice. “We finish the lists, give Sam the envelope, bid him goodnight,” Cas took a deep breath, his body looming over Dean. “And then we pick up right where we left off.”
“Fuck, Cas,” Dean whined.
“Patience, Dean,” Cas pressed a kiss behind his ear, where he knew Dean was especially sensitive. “All in due time.”
With that, Castiel got up, went to click his bedside lamp on, fluffed his pillow, propped it against the headboard, and took the writing supplies from the nightstand. When he got back on the bed, he made sure to leave a few inches of space between them.
Dean groaned. “Fuck my life,” he muttered, but took a couple of deep breaths, willing his heart rate to friggin’ slow down already.  He sat up and reached to switch on the lamp on his side of the bed. He watched Cas for a moment before clarifying, “Yes to the house, though?”
Cas looked at him, pen pausing in the middle of a sentence. “I love you, Dean. Yes to the house.”
Dean grinned. “So, two down, one to go. Item number three for 2021?”
Castiel chewed on the cap, thoughtfully. “This one is less specific, but I’d like to try things I haven’t tried before. Unusual food, new experiences, all kinds of activities – with you.”
“Cas, I swear, if you hadn’t stopped just now, I’d have given you a thing or two to cross out from that bucket list,” Dean smiled, cockily.
Cas grinned. “I should think so.”
“Just say the word,” Dean winked, “and we can go baptize the library.”
“Noted. Let’s just not traumatize your brother any further.”
“He’ll live.”
Cas sighed, a mix of fondness and exasperation. “We’ll get back to this conversation as soon as we’re finished with the task at hand. What’s your item number three for the list?”
“Well,” Dean sat up straighter to get himself into business mode, “I’d love to spend more time with family. Get to know them better, maybe set up some family traditions? I don’t know if everyone will appreciate the idea, but it would be kinda awesome.” He glanced at the framed photos proudly sitting on his shelf.
“I think it’s a wonderful thing to put on your list,” Castiel reached for his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, “and I don’t have a shadow of a doubt, everyone will be thrilled.”
“They’d better be. Otherwise, they’ll be missing out on the greatest feasts humanity’s ever known.”
“Yes,” Cas agreed easily, “among other things.”
Dean smiled and reached for his own supplies.
For the next five minutes the only sound that filled the room was rustling of paper. Having finished writing, Dean clicked his pen off. “So, what’s with the bonus task? The one where we describe where we see ourselves this time next year?”
Cas bent the card he was writing on in half and slid it into the envelope. “We’re not supposed to discuss it, but, seeing that we will be exchanging our predictions next year, I figure we just address it to each other?”
“Let’s do that,” Dean nodded. “So, no consulting, huh?”
Castiel hummed. “If we were to respect the rules. You know, though, my prediction doesn’t make much of a secret,” he shrugged, smiling. “This time next year, and all the years to come, I see myself watching a Christmas movie with you. I can’t keep up with the plot, really, because mostly I’m watching you watching the movie, watching you smile, listening to you laugh. And I am overwhelmed by how grateful I am for everything that has led me there, in that moment. I’m happy. I’m with you.”
Dean’s throat felt tight and his eyes started prickling with tears somewhere between ‘all the years to come’ and ‘watching you watching the movie’. Cas was looking at him with such adoration, reverence even, blue eyes glistening, pen and paper forgotten.
“Yeah,” Dean said, wrapping Cas in a bear hug. “Yeah.” He hid his face in the crook of Castiel’s neck and felt an awkward kiss being pressed to the side of his head. “You’re such a sap, man,” he breathed a somewhat wet laugh. “You’re such a sap, and I wouldn’t change a single thing about you. I hope you know that.”
“I know,” Cas mumbled, “I know.”
“You should still put all of that in writing. You know, for posterity.”
“I will. Will you write yours?”
Dean withdrew a little to give Cas a kiss on the cheek. “I will. But I’m gonna need you to bear with me, ‘cause for once in my life I would actually like to stick to the rules.” He caught Cas’s eyes, “Is that okay with you?” he asked, with a hint of a mischievous smile.
“Of course, Dean.”
“Good. Good.” Dean grinned. “And Cas? I love you, too.”
***
Eileen was supposed to pick him up in about an hour, so Sam sat at his desk browsing true crime documentaries on Netflix when Dean burst in his room without knocking.
“Would you appreciate it if I barged into your room like that?” Sam asked flatly, not looking up from the screen.
“We both know that’s an empty threat,” Dean replied without missing a beat. “Not with those delicate sensibilities of yours.”  He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.
Sam bristled, “You guys were doing it against the kitchen sink! A man should expect the kitchen to be a safe space!”
“Yes, yes,” Dean nodded vigorously, “he should. But it’s still ill-advised.”
Sam closed the lid of his laptop with a click . “Please, tell me you’ve got the envelope and I can go see my girl and bring home the victory of getting you and Cas to participate?”
“Sure thing, Sammy,” Dean dropped the envelope in question on the desk. “Take good care of that for us,” he winked at his brother mischievously. “Cas has already stashed yours in some dusty old book. And hey,” he added in a more serious voice, “tell Eileen thank you?”
“Wait, really?” Sam started, but Dean was already out in the hall.
“Can’t talk, gotta run, Cas says he wants to try new things, and believe me, Sammy, I am gonna deliver!”
“TMI, jerk!” Sam yelled after him, leaning his chair back on two legs to try and catch sight of his older brother.
“Drive safe, bitch!” Dean yelled back from down the hall.
Sam sighed and picked up the blue envelope titled Dean & Cas: 2021 Edition in Castiel’s neat handwriting. The envelope wasn’t sealed properly, and as soon as Sam turned it over in his hands the contents slipped out onto the desk.
“You’re so whipped, Dean,” Sam muttered under his breath picking up the papers. One of the cards fell onto the floor, and as Sam leaned to pick it up, he recognized Dean’s handwriting. Not his finest hour, he would figure later, but the eyes started skimming the text before the brain could actually approve the action.
Hey, Cas. So, we’re talking this time next year, huh? Let’s see. I’m most probably sitting on the couch with you, and we’re in the middle of binge-watching one of those shows you like or watching a documentary. I can’t really tell, because I’m having trouble focusing on what’s going on on the screen. The reason probably being that I have this ring in my pocket, and I keep thinking I should come up with more fitting words. I keep overanalyzing things, wondering if this is even something you might want. And then, we open the envelope, and I’m giving you this little piece of paper, and you start reading it. And I- I can see you frowning in concentration, and it’s been a year since I wrote this, and I still haven’t found the words, because really there are no words to even begin to describe what we have. So- So I take your hand, I kiss your knuckles, and I slip the ring on your finger, and I hope-
Man, I hope I get to spend the rest of my life with you.
With a dopey smile, Sam slipped the card back into the envelope, sealing it carefully. “So whipped,” he repeated quietly, but proudly. 2021 was going to be one for the books.
