just realised that when I was a baby trans (probably about a month or so after realising), I came upon a comic strip about taking things at your own pace and not rushing into everything all at once.

I've been following you for a little while now, and have just realised that that comic strip was created by you!

several years later, and that comic still sticks with me to this day; spreading positivity and acceptance where we can is so important and so often overlooked, but sharing your journey with being a trans-nonbinary and your experience with trauma and therapy has really helped me feel like I'm not so alone, after all.

I finally figured out how to respond to this

witchcomic.com is a 200 cartoon slice-of-life book about being Trans Nonbinary with Trauma and also a Witch. Kinda had a hard week y'all. I go through long stretches of invisibility, both in my personal/working life, and most definitely here on the internet. It's a strange feeling to be shadow banned and bullied, while also having your art stolen by nonprofits and Notified celebrity types. I try to smile and say thanks to both, you know? Anyway, I'm working up the nerve to learn how to get an art agent or publicist and it's just really hard. I often feel crushed. Terrified. And then you get a missive like this and absolutely this will be my 100th cartoon. Yes. In the book. SEEN I was!

This is why to be Trans is to Beloved Community.

Thank you so much for all the support you've given me and my friends over the past year. It means a lot to me to have over a hundred of you following my blog's antics. I'm sorry for the lack of original posts as of late, I've been going through a lot of transitions post-graduation and gearing up for college. Hey! This was supposed to be a celebration fic for 100 followers but idk if I'll get it done in time. Originally it was a set character but then I was like, y'know what? Let them choose :) (also, this is my first time in a while writing a fic fic so be nice 😭😭)

You woke up in a small room, chains around your ankles. Panicking slightly, you looked around, desperately trying to adjust to the dark as you took in what little you could see.

As you waited for that to happen, you tried to assess the situation. Right.

So: your arms and legs were bound in (very heavy) chains, thankfully you weren’t blindfolded or anything like that. You tried not to think about the implications.

You knew it was stupid, but you struggled harshly against the bonds to try and see if you could maybe get free, or at least loosen them slightly. 

Hey, progress was progress, okay?

However, before you could get any further, the door swung open, and harsh light flooded the room. Great.

They walked towards you, before crouching down, seemingly looking for something on your bonds.

Before you could even think to flinch away, your eyes finally adjusted to see- "...[name]?"

You sighed in relief. This was a familiar person, you knew them, they would help you, right?

...Something about the way the looked at you when you said their name made you think twice.

Instead of loosening them, or unlocking them, or something like you expected, they simply grinned at you and fished something from their pockets.

A knife, you realized with the way it glinted in the low light.

Okay yeah, this wasn't funny anymore. You were like two seconds away from pissing yourself.

"Hello, y/n."

Fucking hell, this was going to be a long night.
