Was having a thought that morphed into a scene featuring a character of mine, Al the vampire. He's wearing a very deep V shirt and dark, slim pants, his hair slicked back loosely, a few pieces falling unto his face. A man approaches him makes a remark about modesty, clearly in jest. He lightly touches the deepest part of the 'v' with his fingers, and Al noticeably exhales sharply. The man smiles and looks Al in the eyes, silently remarking at how his stormy gray eyes glint in the dark lighting of the bar. He introduces himself as Frederick Barstock, and he reaches out his hand to shake Al's. Al instead places a hand gently across his own chest, and bows slightly. He softly, and perhaps somewhat amusedly, tells Frederick he is at his service. Frederick chuckles and asks for this suave, strange man's name, and is surprised that he is only answered by the name 'Al'. No surname, no full first name. How strange to introduce yourself to a stranger with only a nickname. When he opens his mouth to ask what 'Al' is short for, as if on cue, the bartender arrives with two drinks. Rum and coke, he remarks, and Al chuckles. Well of course, it reminds me that I enjoy the taste of rum, which leads to stronger drinks, which leads to a good night. Frederick blinks and smiles, trying to hide his growing confusion. But there's just something about him, this... Al...that makes that confusion desolve into the background, the last dregs of it left in the short glasses on the bar, readily replaced by full glasses of rum runners and double shots of apple infused whiskey. After who knows how many drinks, Frederick's confusion is completely gone, and his confidence bloomed up to take its place. When he thought he saw a mark on Al's neck, instead of slurring out some comment about it, he simply reached out with his right hand, his thumb catching Al's jaw and adjusting it slightly, trying to catch the light better. Frederick was too distracted to look at any mark that may or may not be there, as Al made a small sound right as he did this. The sound was completely unexpected, a similar sound to before, an exhale that carried just the smallest hint of a sound. But it carried enough that Frederick was able to make it out through the noise of the bar. He doesn't remember what happened after that.

Why do you keep fast passing when you hate LO now? (Actual curious question, not meant in a "Stop doing that" way)

Oh I don't FastPass it myself anymore haha I'll FP it when I want to thoroughly review any episodes (ex the midseason finale episodes) but other than that I just readalong with pals who are willing to make that sacrifice and otherwise stick to the free episodes. Makes it into a silly fun time where we read and react together. I stopped regularly FP'ing it after the S2 finale, I don't even have the app on my phone anymore (I do on my iPad tho when I wanna catch up on series I DO like haha)

That said, I know my whole thing is "hating LO" but you gotta understand I fell in love with this comic when it was in its S1 era and while I don't love it anymore, I still wanna see how it ends, even though I know it's not gonna impress me at this point. I'm still invested even if it's not the same way I was before. Following along with LO week by week has been a hell of a ride, and while it's certainly been a bumpy one in a lot of places, there are a lot of things I wouldn't be privy to or be able to write about here if I wasn't following it week by week to some extent (in this case, reading it with pals). A lot of real time context is practically necessary to understanding this comic's downfall, I don't think it would be quite the same if I just let it sit and then caught up to it later. If that makes sense?

Something something "if you wanna play the game then you gotta get on the field" or w/e. I have fun in this fandom but as with any fandom, it means staying up to date on the thing we're talking about to a certain degree. And again, I know my whole thing is hating on it, but I'm not like, legitimately suffering or anything haha I read the new episodes with pals, have a fun time reacting and making jokes/memes/etc., maybe write a post about it if there's something to talk about, then I move on until next week when it starts all over again 😌😂 I'm cherishing these times more than ever because I know they won't last forever (i.e. eventually the comic will end and those fun weekly readalongs will be over, *sigh*)

I just wanted to say, yesterday I sat down and binge-read all your Timkon fics, as well as most of the WIPS, and I BADLY want to write some now. I've never really written Tim, tho, since I'm more used to writing Jason. Do you have any tips, or bits of Tim and Kon characterization you consider especially important? (The WIP I've made on my head, if it helps, is (Daemon AU) comics!Tim ends up on Young Justice!Cartoon universe, and he's very, very weirded out by how different Kon is to Conner, and very pissed off that this Conner gets a Daemon while his Kon doesn't have one.)

tbh it kinda depends on where you're trying to go with the fic idea, I'd say? Also why Conner DOES have a daemon and Kon doesn't, probably. Also-also, does Conner even actually have a daemon or is Tim just confused about Wolf or something.

Generally speaking, though, the thesis of Tim is that he is a ride-or-die guy who really fucking COMMITS when he makes a decision. Sure, he'll stalk Batman. Sure, he'll introduce himself to Nightwing and tell him he knows his secret identity. Sure, he'll put on the suit Jason died in to go save Batman and Nightwing from their own stupid selves. Sure, he'll be Batman's emotional support sidekick and lead Young Justice and the Teen Titans and try to clone his dead best friend and run around the planet solo to save Bruce from the timestream. Why not! SOMEBODY'S gotta do it!!

"Somebody's gotta do it" is a lot of Tim's motivation, from what I can tell, haha. He also comparmentalizes really well, is a very talented and skilled detective as his defining Robin skill, uses a bo staff as his signature weapon after convincing Lady Shiva to train him and was the dude who was smart enough to add pants to the Robin suit, and one of his more iconic lines is I think Cassie going, "you lied to Starfire?" and him answering, "I lie to Batman". Which he does. Frequently. Frequently and a LOT-ly. To be fair, Bruce is also a fucking liar, so he deserves it. Tim, however, actually has friends he will ADMIT are his friends without having to be waterboarded into it during an active apocalypse-level crisis.

The boy has no chill. He DISGUISES his lack of chill, but it is fucking nonexistent and the ONLY reason he looks "reasonable" is because his besties are the teen idol superclone with limited life experience and Stephanie "welp my dad's gone supervillain so I'm gonna go kick him in the dick with my intermediate gymnastics" Brown. And then there's Cassie "I'm just gonna ask Zeus for superpowers, natch" Sandsmark.

Also Bart. Also Bart is a thing. Bart is SO MUCH a thing.

So yeah, Tim is a full-stop no-holds-barred insane person, he's just also a better liar than any of his friends. Like so, so much better. AT LEAST THEY HAVE SUPERPOWERS, TIM. AT LEAST THEY'VE GOT THAT. He figured out Bruce's secret identity at NINE 'cuz he went to the circus as a toddler and Dick Grayson's flips were just that sick, and then just didn't tell anybody for FOUR FUCKING YEARS. Four fucking YEARS!! ACTUAL FUCKING YEARS. He just didn't think it was relevant, I guess?!!? So instead he just stalked them with his camera and took cool pics. So many pics. So, so many pics. And he skateboards.

Also he and Kon fucking could NOT stand each other at first because Kon was used to being a solo act and didn't want to answer to anyone else and Tim lacked the ability to convince him to listen to him and they just had VERY different personalities and priorities, and also for a little while in there Match was fucking shit up by pretending to BE Kon, and frankly it's a fucking miracle Tim and Kon didn't kill each other before they ever got to be Titans together, the way they totally failed to get along for the first YJ run.

Seriously, I think they actually had a literal fucking fistfight on Apokolips once, I think that ACTUALLY happened. In the middle of a literal WAR that happened. Tim. Tim, you KNOW better, buddy.

The permet stress really took its toll upon Suletta after her bout with Eri but that won't stop our girl from trying to save her family. So rough to see though.

Rainbow party permet is so cool, pride Gundam!! I wasn't too keen on Calibarn's design before, tho I love the broom, the rainbow really sells it for me. And that coven of gundams?? So cool. Schwarzette usage here, abysmal pilot, and wealth of unused symbolism stings a bit. They so clearly had an arc planned but had to cut it :/ I would love to see the initial draft before cuts were made

This hit me in the feels. Suletta forgiving her mother, Eri begging for all of them to be a family, and Prospera seeing the ghosts of Vanadis smiling at her lovingly. It was everything to me.

The soundless fake-out as Mio believes Suletta is dead was cruel and brilliant. The horror in her eyes that morphs into weepy happiness when Suletta awakens will stay with me for a long time. They even did the little gundam helmet bop again!

Shaddiq taking the fall for everything was good of him, but it feels a bit too neat haha (They had to wrap up loose threads hastily and it shows) He really is an interesting character that, in a longer run, could have been amazing

Surprise! Sulemio got happily married during the timeskip and now Mio has to suffer a keychain's negging. Super funny outcome but I hope Eri can move between devices or else that's a bit hellish

Mio stealing Shaddiq's highly trained girlsquad is amazing. Ain't no one getting to the president of GUND-ARM without a fight. This also opens up the possibility for more Sabanika, so excellent decision all around

THE RINGS!!!! Ahh any nitpicks are nothing compared to sheer happiness I feel when seeing them. They fought and suffered so hard for this ending and it was all worth it! Eri and Prospera sharing in their joy is the cherry on top~

Daisey literally pulls Howdy BY THE ANTENNA and makes him give Latter a hug. They like Latter, he’s sweet. But him being dramatic sometimes gets on their nerves

Daisey and Lizzy do partake in the Latter teasing, but they usually shut it down if it gets to mean (Latter protection squad say what)

Latter and Eddie besties real, Latter reads his poetry in the post office and Eddie just listens while doing his mailman duties

Honey’s mean to him, but secretly like his poetry. He thinks it’s so bad it’s funny

He runs a poetry club, he’s made a few friends from it too :3

Lizzy loves her brother, she really does, but she cannot stand to hear his bad poetry. She send him ads for poetry lessons and he gets sad about it

So I posted something about telling my friend I'm a lesbian some time ago and I must inform you of today's events. Few days/weeks ago I sent my friend, let's call her L, that I gotta tell her something but deleted it right away. Doesn't matter - she still saw it. She asks me about it the next day and I say I can't tell her right now but I will tell her after a few days/when I'm ready. Today, my fellas, we were ready to go outside. But I (as always) took much more time to get ready than expected, even tho usually she's the one that's even more late than me. Anyways, she came to my house because of that and asked me when will I tell her. But it was literally like my body doesn't let me say it out loud. I told her I will tell her outside so we went outside. First park - full of children, second park - full of children, found some benches and sat there talkin' bout some shit when she asked me again. I couldn't answer even tho I wanted to so I consitered writing it down but that would've been really weird so I waited a bit more. (I also was smiling awkwardly and uncontrollably, I just be like that when I'm embarassed.) I started saying some random shit about how it's not really that important so she better not be expecting something amazing but that it also could be a really big deal. L talked a while and when she stopped for a moment I felt that I could finally say it and was like, fuck it, if I don't say it now, who knows when will I so I just blurted out an "I'm a lesbian" in the middle of a conversation about god knows what. L then says that she actually expected that and asked me WHEN DID I DECIDE TO BE LIKE THAT, LIKE NOOO, WHAT THE FUCK, YOU THINK I WOULD JUST CHOOSE TO SUFFER LIKE THIS??? overreacting rn, anyways I explain to her I do not decide that and that it comes to me naturally and she's like "Oh, ok", and I. Think. She. Maybe. Understood. But I was so fucking wrong. L said "I support you (amazing, right, that's what I thought, too) BUT I DO NOT SUPPORT OTHER PEOPLE. YOU'RE MY FRIEND SO YOU ARE AN EXEMPTION." I was sad, also she will probbably have the best reaction out of all my friends so I. Am. Fucked.

Some time passed and she asks me, how did you think I would react?

My beloved anon im sorry it took me this long. But i am lazy. No other reason really. So i am now chronicling this dhit on my phone. And oh fuck dude is it a trip

SO. this fuckery began with quackity announcing the QSMP. He did so on the 17th of march and whatever the fuck. He mentioned it earlier than this (edit: just checked but the First announcements was the 10th)

And this is all great. New server that fucks. But what truly started all this. Was dream's tweet on his private twitter.

Im gonna try to be kinda impartial qnd jus. Explain it all as is but first i gotta say who says this shit lmao. So quackity announces his new project and is very passionate about it, he tweets more on his alt(?) About how much it means to him to bring his two languages spanish and english together. And dream on private is like 'wow cool! Guys dont get mad at me when i announce the same thing later tho haha' its just so weird.

But anyways. The usmp wasnt even A Thing. Only written instance of dream makin a multilingual server was in a tweet defending himself from copying quackity. (Altho he allegedly mentions in streams or whatever wanting yo do things w other ppl from other languages? But that shit dont count n im not diggin audio n videos out fuck that).

The actual, official announcement of dream makin a usmp was april 2nd (idk why this says the 3rd but whatever) wherein he announces the 'first multilingual smp' with a list of languages that will be on it such as portugese, spanish, english, russian, etc. And that it has live translation.

The same day, quackity releases a tweet labelling the qsmp as the 'first multilingual smp' and that he is introducing a live translation system to it. Mr beast connects that the usmp and qsmp are similar to which dream responds. Quackity doesnt respond, nor does he acknowledge the usmp at all.

Dream's response is essentially theyre different in that qsmp is spanish and english, he announced his live translator first, they had 'similar good ideas'.

So. This sparked a lot of drama and discussion. Because of the 'first multilingual' bit in that people began discrediting qsmp as it was 'only' english and spanish, and therefore was bilingual and not multilingual. Altho others countered thid by saying quackity himself called it a multilingual server in his streams. Not to mention the idea that the translator was copied but regardless both those things are kinda stupid arguments and just drama inspired by the comparisons.

More notably is that dream team were making fun of the 'first multilingual server' bit after this. Dream was liking some jokes at it as well

Dream also liked some. Vaguely sexual/romantic 'they should just kiss already' art of him and quackity?

Also after this dream started somewhat addressing/replying to quackity more. Quackity didnt respond to any of it.

Dream also tweeted this on his private the day after

Most narrowed in on the 'this wouldnt have happened without quackity' and was often interpretted as dream saying quackity HELPED him w it in some way or that there was more collab behind the scenes but we will find that to be false. Because. On april 27th. Dream dropped his magnum opus. Which i will include in one screenshot.

Anyways i seriously encourage reading the full thing here because its. Something. Theres so much. It is literally 1.7k words. A lot of it is repetitive but i will. Try. To summarize it.

Essentially dream is writing that he has been trying to contact quackity for some time now with no response. He has been messaging him about how theyve ended up with similar servers (therefore noting that neither one know of the other). This gets nothing. Dream tries contacting quackity more publically with jokes. Nothing. He starts going through secondary sources by talkin to ppl to message quackity for him (i think some people who dream knows that are on the qsmp. Unsure who) but quackity doesnt say shit. Dream is being absolutely ghosted.

Im also noting this last paragraph in his first tweet where he describes being 'taken back' when quackity announces the qsmp live translator after his usmp announcement, because he 'knew it would cause more drama'.

He says he messages quackity so they can plan how to deal with the 'vitriol' between the teo 'communities' and that the drama can be solved with 'communication'. He is ghosted. He also mentions that he puts the usmp 'on hold' in the 2nd tweet so it all can be dealt with and he can 'extend love and support to quackity'. Most notably he says that its alluded that quackity wouldnt let ppl who were on the usmp couldnt be on the qsmp which dream tries to say makes sense for quackity to do.

Theres apparently a fucking image limit on the tumblr app which ive hit so i am now not using images and speedrunning this shit. But im quoting this one thing exactly as its most important:

"That being said, I’ve seen the communities split against each other and have tons of hate build around this and around the speculations of peoples motives and friendships and so on, and it’s really really harmful to the community as a whole. I have seen more threats, doxing, fights, slander, and hate between a bunch of fan bases that I’ve seen in a very long time. His last tweet begins with him saying he 'doesnt want anymore drama' and ends eith him saying he loves quackity and believes this is all just a miscommunication.

Now, obviously, shit blew up. Hes been ratiod a few times by people meming it. Ive seen many people on quackity's 'side' saying that the usmp doesnt even exist yet, dream is the one causing drama, etc. And people on dream's 'side' saying quackity is being horrible and needs address this because its caused dream to be in danger. Most importantly. Quackity didnt address it at all.

But then quackity announced he was going live in an hour. And a lot assumed hed say something. But he didnt. His stream was roughly 15 minutes long and it was entirely quackity announcing that he was introducing brazilian/portugese speaking streamers onto the qsmp.

Anyways. Theres a lot of details but my hand hurts now. A big thing is whether qsmp or usmp was 'first'. Imo theres a lot more pointing towards quackity having had this is store for a longass time, as he had been hinting and a project of his for months and more notably the qsmp is so organized and put together i doubt he couldve had it finished up 'after' dream as dream's nonexistent server was an idea he got after that squidcraft thing in early March i think?

More recently (i think today) i saw that quackity apparently took two emojis off his twitch that were dream roblox characters and i saw people freaking out in r/dwt2 about how quackity could be so petty? But ya. My condolences if youve read all this.

HOW DO YOU MAINTAIN SUCH A GOOD FREQUENCY? like, you post almost daily and with quality, don't you get tired? Sorry but I really worry since you opened the January request, I'm sorry if it seems invasive, but I was worried about you get overload

Haha, the only thing I really get tired of is work 😅. I try to balance my hobbies out. So right now I'm on my last week of overnights. When I get home, I play either my switch, PS5 or PC. Then after I nap, I wake up and start a request if I have time.

Since I circle my hobbies around, I normally don't get tired or bored of writing. Espeically if Im on PC. I play FF14 on one moniter and write on the second.

I was only overloaded in December since I was getting like 4 requests and a day, plus the holiday shopping and extra workload for the holidays, but now everything is FINALLY calmed down and I can get back in the groove!

Sims 4 horse body override tutorial

This is a simple tutorial on how to make a body override for the sims 4 horse ranch ep. I'll be using the adult body here but you can also do that for the foal one. Needed software:

sims 4 studio (link)

blender can be 2.7x-3.x (link)

optional: my blender files -> set up for easier editing (press z and select "solid" to see the seams)

Blender Files: patreon drive

First you need to know that the body is split in 3 parts (better than ts3). The head, body and legs from the fetlocks down each have their own entity. You can't pack those three into one package so you need to make separate packages when editing. After you're done you can always merge those packages with the s4s merge tool. S4S PART 1 (you can skip this if you know how to use s4s)

In Sims4studio select "override" in the CAS column. Select "horse" in the species box, select desired age, then scroll down to the bottom and select one the three files. First one is the head ("ahHead), second one is the body (ahBody_nude) and the third are the legs (ahShoes_nude).

Okay now you gotta make a package file for your mod. Write a name for your file in the highlighted box. You can name it whatever you want but I suggest you use some markers that'll tell you if it's the head/body/legs. Also I usually don't use spaces, instead I use underscores. It's good practice to save it in a folder that's strictly made for your mods, don't save it in your actually game mod folder!!

Congrats! You created your package file. S4S opened the studio for you where you can make your edits and save them there. Select the "meshes" tab so that you can access the import/export utilities.

There's also the 3d preview window where you can check your edits later. Use your mouse scroll button and the right click to navigate it.

You can export the mesh if you're used to the way the s4s creators set up blender exported files or you can use my own file which is edited a bit. (personal preference really!) If you're exporting the file you have to name it again like the package file.

BLENDER EDITING (editing geoms)

Okay, we're done with the first part. Now open blender whatever version. I'll be using 3.5 for this tutorial as it's the one I have installed right now. It will look like this probably so just click wherever aside from the window to close it.

Use the File -> Open option in the top left corner, find your .blend file and open it.

Once opened it should look like this! *or like the s4s exported file

The name of the mesh that you're editing will always be "s4studio_mesh_1" so it has to be selected. It's already selected in the files that I provide but just in case.

If you're using the s4s exported file you need to press the "sculpt mode" option

We did it, the blender file is set up. Now onto the fun part :D

I mostly use the grab brush (shortcut is G) at around 300-400 strength. You can change the size with the shortcut F on your keyboard and the strength with shift + F. Once the green circle appears, drag it outward or inward to set the size then left click to confirm.

From here on it's up to you! You can edit the horse how you like but be careful not to go close to the neck!! It's where the seam is so you might get those visible seams like me if you're too ambitious haha

You can also experiment with other brushes on the left bar (long one) or the brush settings in the tab on your right.

Seriously try to not edit around the seam, it will leave holes where the red line is.

Also another advice, start small! Tiny edits go a long way, you can't fully change the appearance because of the rig limits. The animations are made for the vanilla mesh so it might be tricky to edit so that you won't break them. You've got this tho, once you'll learn it won't be too hard. You just gotta experiment a bit.

Once you're happy with your edit go ahead and save your file as a .blend file (native). Go to "file" -> "save as" and create another one so that you can use the base file for another time. Name it whatever you like again.

I manually closed the eyes just for the sake of the tutorial to show an edit, don't close the eyes in blender like me tho it will clash in the game!

S4S PART 2

Okay by now you're supposed to have a .package file and the edited .blend file. Make sure you choose the edited one or nothing will happen!

Let's go back into s4s now and click on the "import" button. Select your edited .blend file and open it. If you did everything correctly you should see your edit in the 3d window.

So for now all that's left to do is press the save button in the bottom left corner.

Put your saved .package file into your ts4 mods folder and test it out! It should appear straight up in CAS.

Ta da!

You can do this for all three body parts. This is the basics of how I edit the geom for the horses. I wish we could do more than that but this is currently what we're working with :D

Also it's good to take into account that other mods might not work with your edits. You can always try to make it compatible but sometimes it just doesn't work out which is completely fine.
