Stop shaming people for being passionate about the things that they love. Stop mocking people for having unusual interests. Like, honestly, I’m so tired of feeling embarrassed for being "too much". If being too much means having deep interests that fill my life with romanticism and excitement, then let me be!! I’d much rather listen to anyone ranting about their latest obsession with 16th century swords than have a boring ordinary conversation with those who shame passionate people.

headcanon that scorpius was a sick child and was in and out of hospital constantly, perhaps related to astoria's blood curse but not directly. his immune system isnt very strong, and everytime he gets sick they're terrified that it's the blood curse but also whatever else it could be, because it's always so sudden and so intense and they call healers over to the house who recommend this delirious feverish 4 year old is hospitalised immediately, and you'd think it'd get easier to some extent because they'd be used to it, but everytime they feel like this is it, this is the time he'll walk in to the hospital and not walk out again

to be honest i dont like it much when people want to make maya hate being master of kurain like . i dont know. dont you think that kind of sucks as an ending for her

#bc like ok clearly half the intention behind this is to explore whats going on w/ maya when at the end of bttt #she says she doesnt want anything more to do with the fey family more or less because of The Everything #but like. she clearly has a passion for helping people and she enjoys being a spirit medium and its incredibly important #to her and who she is. like clearly post bttt she needs a Break and time to heal from the immense amounts of new trauma #but like. is the most interesting story to you really one where she hates her job and hates her life and hates her family #and the only reason shes doing any of this at all is for pearl (who would hate that mayas throwing away her life to try and make her happy)#like. it reslly just doesnt make much sense for who maya is as a character and her arc thus far #theres a post someone wrote about it somewhere on my blog that puts all of this much better #but like. wouldnt a much more narratively coherent way of going about this be somewhat of a mirror to edgeworth’s arc #namely that your family doesnt define who you are and even though theyve done reprehensible things #in the same career that you now have. doesnt mean that you need to be like them or to do your job for the same reasons they did #even though its somewhat of an inherited career . you can find a different purpose in it than what your family found #you know. well whatever

#i can’t help but get a little defensive at people who hate the entire idea of adaptions as someone who is sooo biased towards visual media #I recognize that but ALSO-#THERE ARE SO MANY GOOD ADAPTATIONS #the reason there’s an over abundance of bad ones is completely on purpose #who’s making these bad adaptations? Do you help small simblrs get noticed by sharing their posts? I’m smaller blog and I really wished that larger blogs would share everyone’s content. Do you only share larger simblrs posts? You seem to get much interaction with posts too.

listen min vän, I've seen this anon ask go around, and I'm certain you know what my answer is gonna be.

For a short answer, I reblog whatever I want, my intent when reblogging is to reblog content I enjoy- simple as that- but I also reblog to show my mutuals/followers content that I believe was made by someone who is passionate about their work and is proud of what they make, I don't want to reblog content that feels washed and was made for the sole purpose of like farming :/

For a long answer:

First of all, I don't consider myself a "big blog", maybe a medium sized blog, internet-logic has rotted my brain to believe that below a million followers is small so take that as you will (im healing from this mindset tho lmao), but I'm frankly not as big as some people on this platform/simblr (which doesn't matter, all our content is phenomenal regardless, 0 followers or 10k followers), I don't know what gave you that impression 😭 I only recently hit 150 followers and just recently started to get a lot of interactions, which was surprising, but moreso Im just glad more people get to see Roo 😵‍💫 So again, I say I do not feel as tho I am a big blog :P Second of all, I reblog whatever content I enjoy, sometimes it's sims, sometimes its not, and when I reblog it, yes I do have the intent of sharing it to my mootys and followers so that it can be seen, but the intent is showing off work that people are passionate about, if you blatantly care about likes or reblogs or follows, it WILL show up in your work, it will be obvious, and more often than not, your content will not be as ingestible as content from someone who literally lives and breaths on making characters and showing their lore. I also don't reblog every post I see, not because I don't think it's "good enough," but because I don't want to swarm my blog with tens of hundreds of posts, be it sims or not. I see SOO many simblr posts where I'm like damn I wanna reblog this but I don't know what to say, or I dont have anything to say (which I should specify that this does NOT lower the quality of the post by all means), at which point I feel bad for reblogging and not having anything to say- I'm also... not legally required to reblog every post I see, my mutuals make phenomenal posts, doesn't mean I need to reblog their stuff, if they are upset because I didn't reblog their work, then that's just someone who cares about likes/reblogs and I don't like those kinda ppl 🤷‍♂️ U should be on simblr to enjoy and share your work, not to get some useless internet points on a post. Lastly, which kind of ties into the last one, I don't only share larger posts, if anything, I find myself more prone to reblog smaller posts (smaller is subjective but usually anywhere from 0-20 notes) just because it means that less people have seen it, and thus I'm opening the eyes of my mutuals/followers to the beauty of this smaller blog's post.

To conclude this essay of a post, I personally recommend getting the hell outta that mindset, because I used to have that mindset when I started and, at least to me, I could see that mindset show through my work. I've recycled this mindset into "I don't wanna post because I want likes and reblogs, I wanna post because I want people to perceive my brainrot in real time", what I mean by that is that I just want to post just to share my stupid characters, which usually is Roo. The likes/reblogs mindset is and can be super unhealthy for you, and again, I recommend getting out of it, recycle it into something less taxing on the mind.

also I just wanna say that if I reblogged EVERY post I liked/saw, I would have over 20,000 posts and I just KNOW everybody would be annoyed as piss if I reblogged stuff at that frequency (since in order for me to achieve that number, I'd have to reblog like, 100-500 posts every 12 hours 💀)

#honestly I've been plenty more happy since dropping that mindset and now I am so much more comfortable when making content #I do get happy when I get reblogs and likes. but that's honestly just a normal human reaction 🤷‍♂️#validation = serotonin/dopamine/wtv = joy ykwim #what i rlly mean tho is allow yourself to enjoy the likes/reblogs. but dont rely on it and dont make it your sole purpose for posting #i just wanna reiterate that everybody on simblr does and can make phenomenal content. none of us make piss-poor content #even the ppl who post for likes/reblogs can make good stuff. but I really believe that passion overrides skill #you can be a blog with 0 followers and 2 likes to your name. but as long as you are passionate and enjoying posting. that immediately boost #your post quality by a million #yapping #Anonymous

i will always advocate for skipping classes btw. to all the high schoolers following me: don't sweat having a perfect attendance record it quite literally does not matter. if anyone tells you good attendance is important for being considered for scholarships they're lying to you. my attendance was fucking abysmal and i was offered several full-ride scholarships because my grades were still solid and that's all 90% of colleges care about.

and besides. taking care of yourself - whether you need a mental health break or you're tired or you just frankly don't want to go to that fucking class - should always take priority! now don't take a page from my book and skip a month and a half's worth of pe classes because you ditched One Time because the coach said he was going to make everyone run a mile that day and then he kept trying to get you to "make up" the mile that you missed so you kinda just stopped showing up until he gave up on you forever like please know that you should go to class regularly BUT.

i think taking time off and leaving early and such needs to be normalized. for school and work. i don't think it's fair to punish people for needing breaks. the human brain is literally not made to sit in the same stifling environments for 8 hours almost every day and just focus on "working" or "studying" and "learning." it's very cruel to deprive young, still developing minds especially of proper breaks and time to Play (not that it's not cruel to do the same to adults)

if the system won't give them to you freely though... well. break the rules a little. you know your limits better than anyone. don't try to work to an impossible standard. rest when you need to!! it's very, very easy to burn yourself out, but it's very, very, very, very difficult to recover from it

#i believe all teachers should have flexible due dates on their assignments and should accept late work without penalty #like. i can't fathom the purpose of strict due dates and no late work policies. the only Real deadline is when grades have to be submitted #maybe a week or a week and a half before that hard deadline can be the last call for turning in missing work #because obviously if 15 students turn in All of their missing assignments the day before their teacher has to finalize grades like #that's not going to end well for anybody. but outside of That #there's no fucking point in no late work policies. some hs teachers are idiots man like your kids have 6-8 other classes yknow.#and a life outside of school. jobs. sports. clubs. friends. time for themselves so they can unwind and recharge #do you want them to rush through your assignments and get everything wrong? or copy all the answers off of google?#or do you want them to learn what you're teaching them? if you want your kids to learn you have to be flexible and open #i believe there should always be an alternative to taking tests. they work for some students but not everybody #if you cater to only one style of learning and only 1/8th of your class learns and retains the material like.#that's not the kids' fault. it's not their failure. it's Your failure for not being an actual fucking teacher #ugh. can you tell i'm extremely passionate about this Lol #sometimes when i tell people i want to be a teacher they're like are you sure...?#and then at some point we might have a conversation about the education system and i'll go on a tirade and they're like i understand now.#starts punching walls and stuff
