“Woah, hey, I wanna try.”
Nico startles at the voice, tiny bone falling from his hand and sinking back into the dirt.
“Aw.” Beat-up flip-flops slow to a stop right next to him, and Will plops himself down. He shoots a bright, too-wide smile in his direction, eyes crinkling. “Hi!”
“Hi,” Nico says warily, subtly inching away. Will, either oblivious or uncaring to his intention, just leans in closer, blue eyes watching him intently. “…What are you doing here?”
“Hanging out with you. Duh. How did you do that?” He points to Nico’s hands.
Confused, Nico re-summons to the squirrel femur, dragging up the rest of the skeleton too. It chitters to life, nosing at the sliver of bare knee out from Nico’s ripped jeans, before bounding over to Will. He doesn’t even flinch, laughing as the little thing scampers up his arm and rests in his hair. Nico’s mouth twitches.
“I don’t actually know? I guess I can do it the same way you can heal. It kind of just happens, I can’t really teach you.” He pauses, squinting. “Unless…necromancy is healing, technically. Can you do necromancy?”
Will shakes his head, wincing as one of the squirrel’s ribs gets catches a curl of his hair, tugging it as it moves. “No, the other thing. The spinny thing.” He gestures towards Nico’s hands, wiggling his own in explanation. “With the — bone.”
“Oh! Oh, that.”
Closing his eyes, Nico lays his palm flat on the packed dirt, feeling around under it. He can’t see it, exactly, but he can feel buried things the same way you might feel the air shift when someone comes in an empty room. Things take up space, and there’s a record of that you can feel. Nico’s ability just extends underground, and bones, especially, are like someone entering a room loudly. He’s directed to them almost automatically.
He feels around until he gets pulled towards another buried dead. A mouse, this time, or at least a part of its skeleton. Nico leaves it. The bones are too small for his purposes.
He keeps searching until he finds a raccoon’s ulna — perfect. He drags it up, patient as it worms its way around rocks and through clay and even, notably, a snake’s burrow, and finally breaks through the surface, right up into his waiting palm. He taps it twice on the ground, shaking off the excess dirt, then poises it deftly in between his right middle and pointer figure.
Then, aware of Will’s intense gaze on him, he starts to fiddle with it.
So fast the movement looks fluid, he passes the thin bone along his deft fingers; in, out, in, out. He bends it under his hand back into the looped curve of his pointer finger when it reaches his pinky, starting the cycle all over again. The bone makes tiny swishing sounds as cuts through the air.
“Woah,” Will breathes, eyes wide, pupils wider. “That’s so cool.”
Nico shrugs, embarrassed. “It’s just — twirling. It’s not hard.”
“It’s like the bone is moving itself, though! That’s so sick!”
Nico has never had anyone look so — delighted at him, before, at his magic. Not that this even counts — he did this with sticks, when he was a kid, with pencils. It’s just a fidget, but Will grins at him like Nico’s turning straw into gold.
“I can — show you, if you like.”
Will cheers, scooting somehow closer. Their knees touch, and Nico has to bite down a gasp; somehow, even that touch is hot, even through his jeans he feels like he’s been shocked. His hands, too, under Will’s intensive, determined scrutiny, start to tingle.
“Extend your middle finger up, a little, like you’re trying to cross it over your pointer. No, don’t actually cross it, just — here. Let me.”
He grabs Will’s hands before he can think about it, and he regrets it; the contact makes it suddenly hard to breathe. He forces himself through it, breathing through gritted teeth, and places Will’s fingers the right way.
“Your heart rate’s way off,” Will comments. “You’re also producing an excessive amount of adrenaline and cortisol. You okay?”
Nico bites back a curse. Damn vitakinesis.
“I’m fine,” he grits out.
“If you say so.”
He rushes through the end of his explanation, practically flinging the bone in Will’s direction and throwing himself away, making sure there’s a healthy stretch of space between them when he sits back down.
“You try.”
Will shifts, eyes narrowed on the poised bone. His tongue peeks out of the corner of his mouth in focus, just barely, and Nico has to beat back his thoughts with a mental battering ram. The squirrel skeleton, still sitting on Will’s head, rattles as if laughing at him.
I’ll give myself a lobotomy. I will. Do not test me.
“I got it!”
He glances back down at Will’s cry, accidentally meeting his eyes — blue, blue, gods, they’re so blue, is that an Apollo thing? First the sunrise-coloured hair, then sky-eyes? Apollo’s eyes are brown, usually. Blue only when he feels like it. Why are Will’s so identical to the heavens, then? Why do they seem to take up half his face, they’re so constantly wide, constantly watching? Attention everywhere, all the time, like everything is worth looking at, committing to memory. They go near black, when the sun sets, they get so dark. Mirrors of the night sky. That can't be mortal.
Sure enough, the ulna weaves through Will's fingers — clumsy, stuttering, not as fluid as Nico, but the foundations are there — successfully.
"Good job."
The answering smile could light up the Earth in an eclipse. Nico feels sunburnt.
"I gotta go show off to Kayla and Austin!" Ulna tucked in his ear like a pencil, he reaches up a hand, waiting for the squirrel, despite not having an olfactory system, to sniff his palm, deem it safe, and crawl in. "Come on, Sammy. Thanks, Nico! You're the best!"
"Sure," Nico mumbles. He watches him run off, cradling the little squirrel skeleton carefully. "No problem."
A small smile pulls at his face.

Leo shamelessly flirting as you patch him up
request:
Tumblr media
this boy is ridiculous and I love him. f!cabin7!reader x leo valdez
"You're actually shitting me right now, Valdez."
You stared daggers at Leo as he stumbled into the infirmary for the fourth time this week, this time clutching his left arm, with a crooked grin on his lips.
"Hello beautiful-" he tried to start his usual flirting, but was cut off by you putting your pointer finger against his lips and guiding him to sit down on the nearest cot. Ever since he arrived at Camp Half-Blood, he had the tendency to get injured thrice as often as most of the other demigods.
These "serious" injuries had become more and more frequent, to the point where he would sometimes visit you multiple times a day, always asking for you to be the one to examine him.
This day, however, was special. It was Friday, which of course meant it was Capture the Flag Day, a tradition you strongly disliked. It always meant more work for you, as well as an actual reason for Leo Valdez to visit the infirmary.
"You look really great, Y/N." He tried again, as you pulled his sleeve up and examined the cut on his upper arm. It wasn't deep, but it was bleeding quite a bit. You ignored his flirting, deciding that the injury wasn't serious enough for vitakinesis, and you stood up to get something to clean the wound with.
"Aw, no powers today?" He pouted dramatically. "I like it when you use your powers on me."
You sat down next to him and gently pressed a wet cloth to the cut, still ignoring his advances. He gasped in exaggerated misery, putting the back of his hand to his head like a damsel in distress, and you rolled your eyes. Still, you couldn't help but chuckle at his theatrics.
"The cut doesn't hurt nearly as much as the silent treatment, Y/N. What's up with you?"
"It's fine, it's nothing. I'm just really stressed with the aftermath of the game, and stuff."
"Aren't you always stressed?"
"No, it's just..." You paused for a second. "You might be fireproof, but you're not like… sword-proof, or anything!” You exclaimed and ran a hand through your hair, chuckling wearily.
"So... you care about me being safe?"
He had the biggest dorky grin plastered over his face as his dark eyes scanned your features. His face was so close, you could almost feel his breath against your skin. You shrugged and smiled.
"Huh, guess I do."
His ears turned red, and he moved away a few inches. The two of you sat in silence for a while. You cleaned and bandaged his upper arm, as his fingers subconsciously fiddled with the hem of your t-shirt. You pulled his sleeve back down and looked up at him again. He looked away quickly, as if he had been snapped out of a daydream.
He traced the edge of the bandage with his thumb and lit up.
"Great, thanks!"
"You're welcome, now go! I have better things to do than to sit here and take care of you." You rolled your eyes and laughed, giving him a pat on the back. He got up and headed towards the infirmary doorway, where he stopped.
You looked up and raised an eyebrow.
"Was there something else, Valdez?"
He turned around, his ears still a little red as your eyes met.
"I like it when you take care of me, Y/N. I thought you of all people would’ve have figured that out by now." He smiled, looking you up and down, before turning around and leaving.

Beneath the Stars
Fandom: Trials of Apollo Rating: Gen Genre: Family/Angst Characters: Will, Nico Apollo kids slept with the sun, except for when they didn't. Overnight pre-quest outings don't help. TOApril day 9 - The Hour Past Midnight. I am tired and Will is tired so if this is incoherent, that'll be why.
Will was tired but he couldn’t sleep.  Usually, he slept just fine as long as the sun was down (when the sun was up was another matter entirely), but a pre-quest, well, quest, rather enforced the need for him to stay awake.
Then again, Will suspected that this would’ve been one of those rare, irritating nights where he couldn’t sleep even without external stimuli keeping him awake.  Going out lizard-hunting with Nico to try and gather bribes for the cavern-runners drove home exactly what they were going to be doing in the morning, but at least it came with the added side effect of knowing that they were also doing everything they could to mitigate the risks.
And there were a lot of risks.
The moon was out, no clouds thick or plentiful enough to hide its light, and Will let his head tip back to stare up at it.  He’d seen a lot of the moon over the past six months, since Apollo’s stint as a mortal had begun, and there were some things that just weren’t coincidences.  Will didn’t know how much influence Artemis had over her brother’s fate, but it was comforting, in a strange, disquieting, way, to recognise that with his dad… incapacitated, for lack of a better word, his aunt (not that he often thought of Artemis as such, wasn’t sure if she viewed herself as such) was still there.
Sure, Artemis would never drop by in his dreams, or even acknowledge his existence, but any hint of normality in a world that was currently anything but normal was one that Will would clutch at with both hands and never let go.
If only getting Apollo back where he belonged was that easy.  Right now, it felt more like Will was helping to accelerate his father’s permanent demise, because going to the trogs still felt like a terrible, terrible, idea, yet here he was.
Will was trying hard not to think about how if they weren’t all eaten by the trogs, there was still Nero to contend with, and after him, Python.
Even the name of the last one had him shivering.
His head knocked against the trunk of the tree he was leaning against, torn between being awake and passing out where he stood.  He could take a nap, if he wanted to.  Nico had never expected him to do more than keep him company for this, Will knew, especially as it was long past sunset and the lizard traps showed no sign of succeeding in their purpose just yet.
He should take a nap.  They were due to head out at dawn – provided they caught a stupid lizard in time – and then the quest would begin in earnest and Will’s opportunities for sleep would drop considerably.  He wasn’t Nico, who could go entirely too long without sleep – not for any logical reasons like being a son of Hades, but because he’d messed his sleep schedule up so badly that his body just rolled with it, even though it shouldn’t.  If Will didn’t get some sleep now he was going to crash mid-quest.
The problem was, Will wasn’t going to sleep.  He could feel it in the tenseness of his body and the faintest strains of a headache at the base of his skull.  He was too stressed to sleep, too on edge for his mind to slip away.
Next to him, also leaning against the tree, Nico was fully alert despite the late hour.  They were nearing midsummer, and even Nico had shed his outer layers until he was just in a t-shirt and jeans.  His bare forearm pressed against Will’s, cool but not worryingly so, and Will’s hand was close enough to his wrist to feel the rhythm of his boyfriend’s pulse steady and even beneath the skin.
It was soothing, and Will knew Nico was doing it on purpose, using his vitakinesis against him to keep him relaxed.  It was hardly the first time, and wouldn’t be the last, either.  Nico had used the exact same trick to get him to sleep after a late night in the infirmary, and with his sword out, he was clearly prepared to stand guard while Will slept.
If only Will could actually sleep.
Above him, beyond the moon chariot, the stars shone clearly.  Will could name all the constellations despite rarely being awake late enough to see them, because they were all named for Greek mythology – all came from Greek mythology.
The newest acquisition, the Huntress, was nowhere to be seen, because she was a winter constellation, and that meant Orion was also missing, because he was part of the winter sky, too.
Will’s eyes found Lyra, the lyre of Orpheus.  It wasn’t the biggest constellation in the sky, but it was one of the most Apollo-like in the sky (Will adamantly ignored Serpens; Python was slithering around in his mind unwelcomely without further incentive), and Will would take any connection to his dad at all.  Any hint that he would survive and regain his godhood.
Right now, his father would be laying in the cot in the middle of cabin seven, a bed meant for guests when Apollo belonged in the cabin more than any of the rest of them.  Will hoped he was asleep, but he didn’t think the laws of the universe that dictated that children of Apollo didn’t stay awake easily at night applied to the god himself, even if the god happened to be mortal and vulnerable.
Still, Apollo needed the rest, so Will could hope.  He could suffer a sleepless night and its consequences if it meant his father was well-rested and had the best possible chances of survival.
He sent a private, silent prayer to the moon above him.  Maybe Artemis could help that happen – at least then, Will’s sleepless night would feel like it had a purpose.  He would gladly never sleep again if it helped to keep Apollo alert and alive.

Sunlit Gotham Universe Notes
Batfam Notes:
- Due to moving around the batfam timeline a bit, Jason is the only one who has died who has been fully buried and then revived (Steph’s heart stopped for about three minutes when Black Mask captured her, and Damian has not been killed.)
- Damian came to Gotham earlier than canon, and is currently 10 years old and in 4th grade at Gotham Academy
- Jon Kent is also going to be the same age as Damian in this AU
- Jason Todd is going be announced as Legally Alive before the beginning of the story (Yes, he is still Red Hood, but he doesn’t kill anymore (most of the time))
- Bruce will NOT be going missing in time
- This means that Tim never drops out of high school, gets emancipated, and becomes CEO of a company at the age of 17. It also means that Dick will not have been Batman
- Selina and Bruce are dating - he’s gonna probably propose soon, but big life events keep happening (like adopting new children every few months) so he hasn’t yet. He claims he’s waiting for a time when everything is calm. His children call bullshit and say he’s just scared she’ll say no
- Selina totally knows that he already has the ring and is honestly just teasing him and stressing him out more by making comments and jokes every so often
How does Wonder Woman not know about the demigods?
- When the Greek Amazons went to live on Themyscira they became cut off from the rest of the mortal world. This means that they weren’t aware of Camp moving around to follow Olympus
- Diana was born WAY before the First Great Prophecy, and technically isn’t a true demigod because she was sculpted from clay - therefore not really part mortal
- By the time Diana had left the island, demigods had gone underground and general society forgot that they existed. Both camps are kept secret so that the demigods are safe, so Diana hasn’t heard about them and assumes that the demigods are just no more
- Due to the Mist, Off World League Missions, Rescue Ops, and the fact that she lived in Paris for a while, Diana hasn’t been around during any of the major battles - or her focus was elsewhere
- Donna Troy might show up at some point, and the same logic about leaving Themyscira works for her too. We’re going with the Magical Duplicate origin story for her, so again, doesn’t quite count as mortal enough for the prophecy
- Cassie Sandsmark originally used magical artifacts to help Diana fight crime and was later ret-conned into being either a daughter of Zeus or a granddaughter of Zeus. The ret-con is going to be brought up in the story and we can all thank the Flashes for messing up the timeline. But basically she doesn’t become a proper descendant of Zeus until after the Titan War and therefore the prophecy doesn’t apply to her either
Children of Apollo have the following abilities According to the Riordan Wiki:
- They can curse others to only speak in rhyming couplets that can take days or even weeks to wear off (depending on strength and number of people in the spell)
- They are expert archers, inherited from their father. However, the children of Apollo who are healers tend to be less skilled with this (as seen with Will Solace)
- They also excel at anything involving throwing or shooting stuff, like shooting hoops or shooting firearms or other missile weapons
- They are skilled in physical contests and games
- They excel in the arts
- They are skilled musicians
- Vitakinesis: As the children of Apollo, they are natural healers. They can heal people by singing a hymn to their father (in Ancient Greek).
- Audiokinesis: As the children of Apollo, they have the ability to control sound waves and music
- It is extremely rare that a child of Apollo can possess complete photokinesis, as only Apollo himself and the Titan of Light, Hyperion, and the Titan of the Sun, Helios, have been known to use the ability
- From what can be gleaned from The Demigod Diaries, it can be presumed that some, or even all of Apollo's children possess a limited form of precognition
- Thanks to a curse, all the children of Apollo have a terrible fear of snakes
In this AU, souls have auras that are unique to each soul. Demigod children with parent’s who deal with light (ex: Apollo or Iris) can see the auras if they focus really hard. Children of Apollo will often use it as a way to check how well a patient is healing as the brighter the aura the healthier the person.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
— ꗃ Daughter of Demeter !
• Dahlia has been in camp since forever. So, there is very little she remembers of her life before her tragic yet blessed sixth birthday.
• She ran into the chimera of all things and intrigued by it, she went to touch it. It burnt her bad and because her adoptive mother would not believe a 'dog' could breath fire, she ended up at the hospital with second degree burns from self harm.
• Her satyr guardian was a little too late and her mother won't have any of his long tales about a camp for special kids.
• He got Dahlia's permission (because kids can totally think for themselves) and literally kidnapped the child. They ended up facing a fury (due to something about her being Demeter's blessed hero) and a gorgon sister of Medusa and ran for their lives.
• Annabeth arrived a year later and both were on each other's nerves, constantly. Dahlia was exuberant and the daughter of Athena wanted some serenity in her life.
• This rivalry of sorts continued till the happenings of TLT, by which point Annabeth was already crushing hard on Dahlia. The latter was oblivious but loved teasing and spending her time with Annabeth anyway.
• Needless to say, Annabeth was not amused with the Gods when she was sent on not one, not two but three consecutive quests with said 'golden retriever' of a girl.
• When Grover was captured in Sea of Monsters, Dahlia left alone by defying camp rules and was thus marked a traitor by Tantalus. Annabeth did not let it show but she was crestfallen. First Luke, then Dahlia.
• When the gang learnt why she left when they found Dahlia in Cerce's island, Annabeth made sure to talk some sense into the Demeter spawn.
• Their first kiss was after Percy and co. rescue Annabeth from holding up the sky and it was completely a spur of the moment thing. Nobody dared to bring it up later and neither did the parties involved.
• Dahlia was there when Annabeth kissed Percy in the maze and she couldn't explain why she felt so gloomy in the following days. She chalked it up to Percy's death (who miraculously crashed his own funeral) and moved on from the flowers wilting whenever she touched them anymore.
• They got together for real when Annabeth finally confessed after returning from the cusp of death during the battle of Manhattan, knowing that in their world, death was a harsh gust of wind that could blow out the flickering flame of anyone's life at any given moment.
• Dahlia joined the seven heroes as the medical aid of Argo II, having spent years mastering everything an Apollo kid without vitakinesis could do.

Vitakinetics - healers and scientists
About the discipline
Vitakinetics, not to be confused with kineticists, are on the more uncommon side of magical disciplines, as it is a difficult discipline to master. This type of adept magic utilizes life energy as its source of power. Every living thing, animal or human, mortal or sorcerer needs life energy to stay alive, and a healthy body generates a certain amount of it. It takes a vitakinetic to be able to control this life energy, however. With training vitakinetics learn to generate this energy on command, and to expel it through physical proximity. Vitakinesis is a healing-focused discipline, and those who have chosen it as their discipline usually work as doctors or scientists. While vitakinesis only gives its beholder and advantage in healing-focused science magic, many practice other types of science as well, as an extension of their profession, rather than their discipline. Some researchers consider vitakinesis and energy throwing sister disciplines due to the generation of energy within the body. Uses of vitakinetic energy can be roughly divided into three different groups: healing, defense and offense.
Healing capabilities
Vitakinetics have two different types of magical healing they may choose from. One vitakinetic doesn’t have to solely specialize in one or the other, and many alternate between the two methods depending on the situation.
Energy healing
Energy healing is vitakineticism in its rawest form, and what most people think of when they hear of magical healing. When using raw life energy to heal, the vitakinetic transfers life energy to their patient. The typical way of doing this is placing their hand near or on the wound, or if the ailment is unseen, simply placing their hand on or near the patient. This type of healing works best on acute injuries, but a talented vitakinetic could possibly use it on something like lead-based liver damage as well, or to hold back acute symptoms of illness. For example, if a patient with pneumonia was experiencing a collapsed lung, the vitakinetic treating them could heal their lung, but not get rid of the illness itself. This type of healing also doesn’t affect things like psychological damage, terminal illness, infection, disabilities, chronic pain or certain types of injury. It is not possible for a vitakinetic to heal someone’s wound and accidentally make them not need reading glasses anymore, for example. No type of vitakinetic healing is foolproof, either. Sometimes a wound may be healed, but the effects of it on the part of the body in question might persist. The advantage of energy healing is that it is very quick to take effect. It does, however, have its weaknesses and risks. For one, it takes a lot of energy from the vitakinetic depending on the size and gravity of the ailment. The average vitakinetic will be completely exhausted after healing a fully grown adult with a life-threatening injury. This leaves the vitakinetic vulnerable. When dealing with grave injuries there is also the risk of the patient ending up in a state of shock if the healing is done too quickly. This means that energy healing takes a very talented and experienced vitakinetic, and in combat situations it is advised to only use it to stabilize a patient. The appearance of vitakinetic life-energy varies somewhat, and some think that the appearance of a particular vitakinetic’s life-energy corresponds with their personality, however this is just speculation and nearly impossible to prove, as there is no objective way of assigning visual elements to something as abstract as human personality. Vitakinetic life-energy’s appearance may range from a dull glow to resembling fire or even electricity. This energy can be any color, but some notable common ones are dull greens and blues, gold, white and opalescent. When doing energy healing, the vitakinetic’s hands typically let off warmth as well.
Science magic
Science magic is the more technical, modest version of vitakinetic healing. It’s slower to take effect, but it takes less energy and can help with a wider variety of ailments. For example, a vitakinetic may channel their magic into medical plants or chemicals to heighten their healing properties. Not even science magic can heal everything, but it can often alleviate symptoms. Science magic in healing can be many things, like mobility aids that utilize sigils, painkillers that are quick and precise, more effective treatments for infections and illnesses, healing broken bones without a cast, et cetera. Not everyone who practices science magic is a vitakinetic, but vitakinetics do get an advantage in the field from being able to distill their magic into their creations. This distilled magic is more potent, and the vitakinetic can do more without being subject to vitakinetic exhaustion.
Defensive capabilities
Vitakinetics have one incredibly useful way of defending themselves: self-healing. The second that they become injured, their body starts healing itself automatically. This makes strong vitakinetics incredibly hard to kill, which is fortunate considering the discipline’s rarity. Self-healing takes a lot more time and energy than healing a similar injury on another person, as depending on the gravity of the injury the body might be working in overdrive, especially considering that larger wounds also deplete life energy. Small cuts and fractures are typically very easy for any vitakinetic to overcome, but a life-threatening injury could kill a weaker vitakinetic, and even stronger ones can typically only maintain a state of staying alive until they can be seen by another medical professional. Some vitakinetics have been known to be able to regrow small parts of themselves on their own, like eyes or fingers, but this is exceedingly rare. Things that can kill any vitakinetic are typically ones that start shutting the entire body down systematically, faster than the vitakinetic can keep up with. These things include, but are not limited to: god-killer weapons, the Sceptre of the Ancients, certain types of necromancer magic and certain illnesses. Vitakinetics are not immune to zombie bites, vampirism or remnants. Vitakinetics typically only sustain scar tissue from large wounds that take a lot of energy and time to heal.
Offensive capabilities
Vitakinetics also have one way of causing harm with their discipline, along with being able to use weapons. Some vitakinetics have a moral adversity against using their discipline to harm people, but they are capable of it nonetheless. This involves using their energy to overload the opponent, usually resulting in shock. Some experienced vitakinetics know how to simply make their opponent pass out instead, however. The downside to this ability is that it expends valuable energy on something that would much easier be done with a physical weapon of some sort. It can also leave the vitakinetic vulnerable if exhaustion starts to set in in the middle of battle. Because of this, most vitakinetics carry a weapon on the field.
Vitakinetic exhaustion
Vitakinetic exhaustion is a condition which sets in when a vitakinetic is nearing the limits of how much energy they can expend. It is the body’s way of making sure that the vitakinetic doesn’t use up the energy they need to live. Compared to the exhaustion state of other disciplines, like gist users, it is relatively mild. It can be painful, but not to an excruciating extent. Many describe it as a feeling of tenderness in the muscles, the slowing down of cognitive functions, and a general feeling of tiredness and sluggishness. It gets worse the more one tries to power through it. There have been no documented cases of uninjured vitakinetics dying from using up all their energy on healing, as the body will typically make itself go into a state of delirium or make the body faint until it has regained its energy. This condition may also weaken the immune system, and lowers the vitakinetic’s capability to heal themselves, often leading to scarring even from smaller wounds. You can tell a lot about a vitakinetic just by looking at what kinds of scars they have, if any. Perpetual cycles of vitakinetic exhaustion can leave the vitakinetic with a considerable amount of scar tissue if they sustained injuries in this state.
Vitakinetics during the war
Vitakinetics were highly involved on both sides of the war as medics and scientists, and were vital in the efforts of both sides. You could recognise a Sanctuary medic by their uniform, which was either white or light green in colour, the latter only in countries where white typically symbolizes death. The uniform belts had daisies embroidered on them, and the uniforms typically also included protective goggles. Stationary medics and scientists who stayed within the Sanctuaries were assigned uniforms with higher collars and ankle-length hems, for better protection against chemical spills. Field medic uniforms had tighter collars and shorter hems for better mobility. Both types of uniforms also included white trousers, shoes and gaiters that started just below the knee. These uniforms were generally regarded as very aesthetically pleasing. Mevolent’s side had uniforms that were similar in build, but aesthetically very different. Not all medics and scientists were vitakinetics, but it was more common than not. During the war field medics often traveled with troops on missions, and stationary medics and scientists did research in the Sanctuary facilities. Research topics ranged from weaponry, the study of different magical disciplines, remnants, and medical plants. These scientists are to thank for most that we know of gists and sensitives. Mevolent’s side’s scientists were responsible for some rather unethical experiments. The line between stationary and field personnel was not rigid: if work was slow in one area, vitakinetics would be transferred to other work, and if a particular vitakinetic’s skills were needed in one place, they would see to it, regardless of their position in the Sanctuary. Some vitakinetics underwent additional training in psychology and served as therapists and psychiatrists in addition to their roles as physical healers.

Note
Hot take bc I know how popular plague Will is but I don't think he needed to give Nyx hay fever lmao... between the vitakinesis, the photokinesis, the Curse of Delos thing, and whatever else is happening when Will hums/sings? He's definitely already way more powerful than both he and the fandom give him credit for. Why would I care about him making her sneeze when he BURNED her wings with his lights. Hate to give credit to Lester bc he's a dumbass but he was so right to start sobbing over Will actually his powers are SO cool
ok but the thing is Will DOESN’T have plague powers. he has the power to give someone a mild inconvenience if—and only if—he reaches into the darkest recesses of his mind. and that is hilarious.

Introduction
Hello and welcome! I am Rae, from @imaginechb! This is a PJO RP account for the OC I got my name from. Here's some background information on her, please enjoy!
~
Full name: Renae Daphne Gold
Nicknames: Rae, Daughter of Apollo, Sunshine, Katniss, Lieutenant Counselor of Cabin Seven, Goldilocks, Funshine Bear
Pronouns: she/her
Cabin: Seven (Apollo)
Birthday: June 19
Fatal flaw: Hubris. Her talents can lead to her being pretty proud, and sometimes that can be fatal
Powers: Light travel (like shadow travel but with sunlight instead, you can find it in the Apollo cabin wiki!!), visions (not prophecies or dreams, they're brief and come in the day, usually accompanied by a splitting headache), and the standard Apollo cabin vitakinesis (healing patients by singing hymns to her father)
Quirks from powers: Her light travel isn't always precise, so sometimes she ends up in places she shouldn't. She has yet to perfect it. It also takes a lot of energy. Her visions are painful and cause her splitting headaches, and they also come out of nowhere, absolutely no telling when. Sometimes, when she's really upset, she spreads sickness to those around her. Once in a fight with Malcolm Pace, she caused everyone in a fifty foot radius to catch the flu.
Weapon(s): Her bow and a celestial bronze dagger that she keeps either in her sock (quests) or on her belt (training or battle)
Friends: Annabeth Chase, the Stolls, Clovis, Dylan Carter (OC), Gabriel Marsh (OC), Easton James (OC), Katy Gerard (OC), Katie Gardner
Enemies: Amanda Knight (OC), Drew Tanaka, Kronos, Gaea, Malcolm Pace
Significant other(s): Malcolm Pace (formerly), Dylan Carter (OC)(formerly), Connor Stoll
Family: Isabella Gold (mother, deceased), Apollo (father), Will Solace (half-brother), Austin Lake (half-brother), Lee Fletcher (half brother, deceased), Michael Yew (half-brother, deceased), Kayla Knowles (half-sister), Gracie (half-sister), Yan (half-sibling)
Hobbies/Talents: singing, playing guitar, tarot, volleyball, making bracelets
Fun facts: she enjoys Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, pretty crystals and sweet iced tea. Her favorite color is sage green. Travis Stoll is the one who gave her the nickname Katniss, after she almost took him out with her bow when she was eleven. She is 5'10, and always wears a white bandana in her hair along with her camp shirt, jeans, and white boots.

what exactly is their superpower ?
some espers powers are not fully explained or displayed well  so here’s my guess as to what the game had in mind
Bardon- light shield construct
Tumblr media
he got his arm bitten off by a miramon and he uses his esper energy to work his prosthetic but that’s not actually his superpower (in theory anyone with esper powers can do this )
his power is making shields like Laura he just uses his more aggressively going captain america and throwing them also they’re made of light like the green lanterns
maybe he can make other light  constructs stuff ?
David- Vitakinesis (he cures himself really good )
Tumblr media
his Jason of the Argonauts power is the golden fleece which in most games is depicted as like a healling or countering thing also most likely the reason why he has piss gold fingers
the taunt is just him being him
Leon-he makes the red bullets
Tumblr media
his power is from Vali the god of vengeance. he takes his misfortune (debuffs) and transfers them to others (his passive)
also he can turn turn his saxophone into a sniper riffle ( probably doesn’t have to be a sax and probably doesn’t have to turn into a rifle ... probably )
Lu Yi- Arrow generating
Tumblr media
like Hall his power from Dayi enables him to make arrows with certain properties. he just wasn’t physically changed by his esperhood like Hall
Mona-same as above
Tumblr media
she can make arrows but her bow as well maybe a special bow causes in her gacha animation she can use it to fly a bit
also in bounties it is pointed out her hair is silver so that might be an effect of her powers
Pritzker-A magic book
Tumblr media
okay so his power are from Mimir the wisest man so is his power super intelligence ? But he is already smart
is it the runes? maybe but anyone can use runes so maybe not ?
so its the book? i mean it’s definitely a magic book
so let’s go with that
hope that clears up any confusion
