Katie Mitchell: Communications Officer of the All-Star team and Starshadow's favorite person who helped as a hacker and a communicator of the All-Star team

Flash Sentry: Who volunteers the Save Equestria Girls Donation Day as he joins Starshadow Skystalker to the All-Star

oh, oh! For that prompt game! Would you do "23. letting them ramble when they need to let off steam" as either a domestic Twilight x Yor; or even as a platonic, Raphael centric hamefura snippet?

A pleasure, as always, Serekan.

Yor came home later than usual after a very satisfying kill (minimal casualties, target was conveniently standing on a rug that made clean up easy, and she got the angle right to keep the blood splatter off her dress, yay!) and found Loid stoically nodding along to Anya’s rush of words.

               “. . . and the Becky told Mickey that he didn’t have any chance with her because she was in love with someone else, but the only people she was talking about were fictional people, so everyone started getting angry and taking sides about whether it was okay to turn down real people for fictional people, and then Becky got mad at me because I didn’t get it, and Syon-boy said it was the first smart thing I’ve said, since only stupid people care, and that made her even madder, but when I tried to help—”

               Oh dear, based on the dinner dishes still on the table, Loid had been patiently listening to this particular rant for a while.

               “Yor, you’re home,” Loid said, standing up.

“Hi Loid, hi Anya,” she said, and made a quick decision. Yor walked up to Loid, putting her arms around his neck in a hug. Surprising him, he only hesitated a second before returning her hug.

               “Do you want me to take over listening while you do the dishes, or vice versa?” Yor asked so quietly Anya hopefully wouldn’t hear.

               Yor released him and she enjoyed the look of pure gratitude on his face, a hint of exhaustion creeping through in that moment of relief.

“Mama! You wouldn’t believe what happened today!” Anya said. “We were learning about how leaves turn color and—”

Loid cut her off, “Anya, why don’t you tell me the rest of your story, and I’ll tell Yor about it later, that way you can finish telling me before Spywars comes on tonight."

“Promise to tell Mama, everything?” Anya asked.

“I promise,” Loid said, giving Yor a grateful smile. Yor cleaned up the dishes, ate the portion Loid saved for her, packed lunches for her and Loid to take in the morning, and served drinks just as Anya turned on the TV.

The opening theme of spywars covering their conversation, Loid met her in the kitchen.

“Thank you. She needed to rant about her classroom drama. And while I appreciated the offer to take over, I didn’t need to hear everything a second time.”

“No problem,” she said. “I think it’s wonderful she trusts you to speak freely when something stresses her out.”

“Listening to my daughter’s problems is much more enjoyable than listening to most of my patients, but it can get tiring. Especially since she doesn’t want me to fix it and explain why her classmates are acting certain ways.”

“Any clients especially difficult today? That you want to talk about, I mean,” Yor asked.

“What’s good for the child is good for the parent?” Loid asked, raising an eyebrow.

“You’re the doctor,” Yor said, blushing a little, “But I know it was stressful when raising Yuri and he would have a difficult time with his classmates. I would listen to him, but I couldn’t talk to him about the things in my life in the same way because he needed me to not be unbreakable. If you want to talk about how stressful things are, I’ll listen. And I promise I won’t try to fix things. I’m sure if it was something fixable, you would have done it already.”

“I suppose . . .” Loid started off, a little self-conscious, “It isn’t any single patient, but rather the workload of seeing so many patients at once. I am on call for emergencies, but I also have clinic hours, and trying to keep straight so many backstories. What’s important for one patient would be detrimental to another, and keeping everything straight is difficult even for me at times. It feels like I have multiple jobs, in addition to being a parent—”

Yor settled in to listen. At first it sounded like he was going to give her just a vague summary of the things stressing him out. The workload mainly, but when he mentioned that everything was on top of being a parent, out came the usual fears of Anya not fitting in with her peers and Yor did get a short rehash of today’s drama, along with some other tasks the hospital has Loid doing to help out other, also short-staffed departments.

Spy wars eventually ended and they set about their night routine. After tucking Anya in, Loid caught her in the hallway.

“Sorry, I really meant to only mention the workload, I didn’t mean to dump all that on you when you’ve had a late night yourself,” he apologized. “Please forget everything I said.”

“It made me happy to listen to you. It was the best ending to my day that I could have asked for, I promise,” Yor said. Realizing what the problem likely was, she added, “And, to be honest, I kinda already forgot most of it, so don’t worry if you accidentally said something you weren’t supposed to."

Something changed, his smile seemed to finally reach his eyes, and it caused a twisting in her stomach.

Attraction. Shoot.

“Uhh, goodnight,” she squeaked, knowing her face was turning red. She turned and closed her door a little louder than she meant to.

Leaning against her door, trying to collect herself, she still heard Loid’s gentle, “Good night Yor.”

The Road So Far: Season 6

Holy smokes. What a ride.

If you're new, this is my recap/reflection on season 6 of Supernatural. You can find all of my previous commentary under the "ashla chick flick moments" tag (or block it, if you so wish. I don't mind.)

Well. Where do I even start? The beginning, I guess.

Dean got out. That's... so monumental. Obviously, it didn't last, but I truly believe that if the Winchesters were less famous then he could have made it. I understand why people don't like Lisa, but I can still see them being good together, and I think that he really did love her, and he absolutely loved Ben like his own. Speaking of Ben, the kid's acting was... not great, but it's a child actor, so I'll give it a pass. As it is, I'm a firm believer that Ben is Dean's son, biological or not.

I guess we have to talk about Sam, huh? Man, there were so many times when I wanted to just. Slap him. Or punch him in the face with a brick. Either would work. Even when he got his soul back, he got right back into his pushy self. I get that he wanted to "atone," but he really just did not get it.

Speaking of slapping people, Cas. Oh my stars, this angel is so stupid. Like, yeah, the boys could've been more appreciative for what he did for them, but could really not see when he went too far? 6x20 The Man Who Would Be King almost made me feel bad for him, but he wouldn't back down even when it was clear that something was wrong.

This has been really depressing, so let's get into the fun stuff! Holy cow, this season had so many bangers. Count 'em up: 6x02 Two And A Half Men, 6x05 Live Free Or Twi-Hard, 6x09 Clap Your Hands If You Believe, 6x15 The French Mistake, 6x17 My Heart Will Go On, 6x18 Frontierland, and 6x21 Let It Bleed all make my list. My favorite is probably gonna be Frontierland, which is honestly one of the lesser episodes on this list, but I have reasons: 1) the Good Omens parallel was absolutely hilarious even if it was unintentional, and b) I've always thought that Samuel Colt was cool since way back in season 2. This only made him more awesome. And anyway, watching Dean in the Wild West was hilarious, if a little embarrassing. Sorry dude, but you should've known Hollywood would make things look weird.

One thing that I will say about this season is that it's all over the place. I think, after wrapping up the story all nice with a bow in season 5, they didn't really know what to do, so they just kind of improvised. It was a risky gamble, but it paid off with one or more of the fandom's favorite episodes, and one of the most memorable characters. There were multiple story arcs moving at once (Eve, Soulless!Sam, Ben and Lisa, Cas vs. Raphael) and all of them managed to fit seamlessly together. Despite all of the development that had to fit in a regularly sized season, I didn't really feel like it was rushed, especially not compared to the end of season 5. They managed to blend everything together while still keeping it manageable to understand.

Mostly, I just felt bad for Dean. In the span of weeks, he lost his semi-girlfriend, his son, and his best friend, while still juggling the emotions from his brother's close calls as well as everything else going on. Obviously, he's not the only one struggling (Bobby Singer deserves a vacation) but man, Dean needs a hug and a nap, and then another hug when he wakes up.

Baby. My beloved. The most important object in the universe. Not a prop, but one of (if not the) greatest characters on the show.

I'm so sorry. Baby deserved better. I mean first of all, you're telling me Dean just left her to sit in a garage for a year while he messed around in a station wagon? Who are you and what have you done with Dean Winchester.

And then the Mustang. That made me sick. I couldn't even look at it, it was just horrifying. And then Balthazar played it off like it didn't matter!!! That's the most important object in the universe jerk!!! Pay her some respect!!!

And she got wrecked at the end! That car has been through so much, and she does not need to be crashed into every position possible. She deserves better. Every time something bad happens to that car I die a little inside.

Well, enough about Baby (there will never be enough about Baby). The next season is supposedly about Leviathans, which could get very interesting. I could be wrong, but I also think maybe we meet Charlie next season? Well anyway, this one is usually considered as sort of the "forgotten season" (like Adam), so we'll see how it goes. I'll get started within the next couple of days. Carry on!

TWI maiaphael where maia is a marine biologist and raphael is working with Magnus (poor him Magnus is a dumbass) and raphael's happy place is when maia rants about marine life and they are basking in the sun on a beach FBGBFB I don't know this is silly rbffhdv

and yes! maybe maia never turned into a werewolf in twi since there is a considerably smaller amount of downworlders (and i figure werewolves specifically wouldn't last very long as they're not immortal and eventually would die out, you know? i mean sure they could turn new people but most wouldn't want to, so) and rapha is a vampire (daylighter somehow?) and since the downworlders are trying to live covertly... maybe he lives with magnus, instead of the clan, or they just keep close and rapha works for him. as his secretary or something? jdhdj

anyway yes she's a marine biologist and she's great at it and is living all her dreams and just generally being so happy? she loves what she does and she's well on her way to graduating and already has a job at an NGO maybe? to save wildlife? that does sound right up her alley

she probably meets raphael through becoming friends with simon, then magnus, then raphael. (or maybe simon and raphael become friends once they meet in twi? i mean it's a matter of time once alec and magnus start dating and there's no politics drama so they can skip that and go straight to the part where they get along lmao)

maybe she's waiting for magnus to finish up with his last client and raphael is bored with not a lot to do, really, but he gets to help his best friend/father figure and earn some money, so he's not complaining. and they are just chatting while maia waits - she mentions that she never believed in magic really but magnus is scaringly good and raphael immediately smiles in pride and is like "yeah, he has that effect on people"

and obviously there's all that pride and affection in his eyes and she... asks about it and raphael just shrugs like "magnus is family", maybe even looks down a little bit, twisting with his ace? ring and murmuring something like "even after i didnt think id have one again" and somehow maia is opening up about how her parents didn't accept her once she came out, either, but she has found a family in Simon and Bat and her other friends, so she gets it

she mentions having been a bartender and they talk working with the public and what hell it is, sometimes even finding themselves saying the same thing at the same time about some particularly wack story about a customer. raphael is like "god, i dont know how you do it, i don't know if i could handle drunk customers" and she says that the trick is to get yourself some tequila too and he laughs and damn, it's been a while

it's lonely, being a downworlder in twi. there are no communities left. he has his little family of warlocks, but... it's still lonely. especially when magnus hadn't really been at his best, lately

at some point magnus walks out and sees them talking and laughing and he just sort of. retreats again because his boy is smiling and he certainly doesn't want to disrupt the moment. he knows he needs some new friends, especially ones who aren't centuries old. raphael is still young, after all

anyway! they become friends, and soon raphael is hanging out with her and simon and bat, and it's really nice? and they hit it off so well and maia is so passionate about her work and rapha had forgotten what that was like, that passion, and she's just... so bright and knows so much and explains marine ecology to him in vivid detail and he gets it even though he doesn't have any previous knowledge? you know? she's just That Good. and more often than not they find themselves talking, maia excitedly rambling about animals and the marine ecosystem and her work to help keep oceanic preservation, and he's just listening and smiling and telling her how admirable she is, and she smiles a little privately and thanks the gods that her light little blush doesn't show

anyway she inspires rapha to go out there and he goes back to doing volunteer work too? so he finds a soup kitchen as cooking is still his passion, and it's nice and he's happy and making friends and feeling a little less detached from the outside/mundane world. and it's so good. and he supports maia so much and makes sure that she always eats and rests and manages to keep her scholarship, and aaaaaa i just love them

anyway eventually raphael tells her that he's in love with her, YES basking in the sun (im picturing in a pier rather than a beach? idk why) and she smiles and he kisses her cheek all slowly and softly 🥺

twi malec’s wedding tho................... imagine like. god . fuck. it’s so sweet and they’re just so in love and like. their respective families (found family mostly, ofc) are so happy for them, and like. them dancing, taking turns dipping each other and like. alec spinning magnus around to make him laugh and them doing both like. more slow and intimate dances with them just wrapped up in each other’s arms, and more silly open and fast dances, laughing together and spinning around and just having fun...... both of them just. so overjoyed and kinda like. the happy disbelief has sort of worn off but that lingering this is really happening, we’re married, he’s my husband, i’m so happy, the future is bright, our future is bright, i never thought i’d have this is there. and like. again, this is twi, so like. twi magnus, so closed off, so isolated, now laughing openly, his hair grown out a little for the first time in a long time, wearing clothes that are like. it’s not that he’s just magically swapped to canon magnus, but they’re more gnc than we saw in the twi episode, although maybe not necessarily the same as canon magnus’s style, and he’s got his mother’s favorite flower in his hair and he just feels beautiful, and free to be himself and loved. and twi alec, who seemed kind of the hookups type (not that that’s a bad thing by any means) like. having this complete devotion to magnus, finally finding someone who he truly loves and wants to spend the rest of his life with (again, not that casual sex is bad or lesser, but lbr, both of them are romantics at heart and he Wanted that true love, you know?) and like...... them cutting the cake together and being dorks and feeding each other a bite (alec definitely accidentally smashes some against magnus’s cheek a little, not like, a lot, but enough to make magnus laugh and seeing him like this--laughing loudly, openly, unrestrainedly, not just the polite quiet little chuckle or the very restrained giggle bursting out of him, is so beautiful, and alec’s so happy that magnus is open enough for that now, that he trusts alec and feels safe with everyone here) and like them saying their vows and 100 percent crying bc they’re just so in love and they each have a whole ass monologue about it and their respective [best men/maids of honor? izzy would be alec’s but magnus’s could be catarina, raphael, or ragnor, tbh] teasing them in their speeches while they sit at the table together and laugh and like. admittedly i don’t much about it but also like!! incorporating their cultures into it, too!! and i imagine the actual ceremony would be pretty small and intimate with their closest friends, and then like. big party afterwards that everyone’s invited to and like. to be clear while twi magnus is more withdrawn like. alec knows how to plan a party (and magnus helps obviously, it’s not all alec despite that being Literally His Specialty in this verse, but they’re partners and do this together, and besides, magnus has had his own experiences) and like. it’s a big party but it’s still people they like and all, and magnus honestly has a lot of fun? they both do, but like, it’s kind of a given twi alec would enjoy a big party, so.... anyway the point is TWI MALEC GETTING MARRIED and just the wedding....... the photos are all just like. they look so happy and in love in all of them they put them all in an album and it’s just like.....god theyre so in love

okay so i think my brotp tag for them ("crazy scientists but make it glam") pretty much sums it up. i love the concept of crazy scientists magnus and izzy. like... if magnus and alec lose braincells when theyre together, magnus and izzy gain braincells, but lose Common Sense

because they are both so into similar things like physics and biochem and technology and magic, so if the subject comes up they will start excitedly talking about idk the possibilities for time travel or something, and alec of course has no interest in those things so hes like "k imma get a drink" and when he comes back magnus and izzy are Actually Seriously Planning On Launching Themselves To Mars and he has to be like "or maybe we could discuss this here on earth???" and alec is really not used to being the voice of reason when it comes to magnus but alas

and i just love magnus and izzy as that duo who can like spend hours talking in depth about the mechanisms of time travel or cures for magical diseases or whichever subject theyre focusing on at the moment and who make a mean team when working together but who can also get Too Excited and lose it a little

other than that the other thing i like about magnus and izzy is that they can relate to each other on that sense of being reduced to The Hot Fashionista, you know? like magnus is called a lothario and izzy is always treated like her one personality trait is Sexy™ and i think both of them kind of use that perception as an armor for themselves. i have talked about that in relation to magnus several times so i dont think it bears repeating because he himself compared his eyeliner to tiger stripes and magicked makeup on when he was feeling bad and alec was coming, so. but anyway my point is that izzy is no different and that was addressed in the sh that is good and lives in my head instead of her just being reduced to eye candy the whole show

like it's obvious that izzy's whole thing with being Sexy™ is something that she uses as part of her rebel act. like, her mom is gonna reduce her to a stupid slut anyway, so why not act the part? case in point: twi!izzy. in the world where the lightwoods weren't making her and alec's life hell, she allowed herself to be a lot more casual. also the way she is always talking about how she can do everything they do in heels, how she always uses her body to be "the distraction" and/or to gather information, to lure in demons even tho thats unnecessary, etc. like i think a part of izzy feels like sex is all she's good at and so she lays that in as thick as possible. she even kind of said so when she said that one of the reasons why she liked raphael is because she knew that sex wasn't a part of the equation for him

disclaimer! dressing in revealing clothes and/or sleeping around is not bad and doesnt inherently mean that the person has Unresolved Issues that end up manifesting like that, or whatever. i think izzy also dresses as she does because she likes it and good for her! she also clearly likes sex and good for her!!!! and it definitely doesn't mean her relationships are shallow because we saw how fiercely loyal she is to those he loves, platonically or romantically. i just think that the way she built her identity around that is partially because it is a good armor - if she presents herself as shallow and concerned only with instant pleasure and looking pretty, people won't get too close. and when they treat her as such, it doesn't hurt as much because she IS laying it on thick and she IS sexy and she can use it to her advantage, even to manipulate people, so whos laughing now?

for example, in s1 in particular izzy was always acting like she cared about nothing but having fun and going to parties, yet it was obvious that izzy actually cared way more about saving the downworld and helping those she loves, particularly alec. like she presents herself as shallow and unconcerned with anything but her own pleasure but it's clear that she's willing to throw all of that away - even give herself up to get married to whoever her parents choose, her own worst nightmare - for what actually matters and drives her: her loved ones and what she thinks is right. she was okay with getting deruned for what she believed in, thats not a shallow person. so obviously that whole thing was an act, and well, why put up an act like that when it borders on annoying honestly? i think it's to protect herself, for the reasons listed above

plus, it makes her mom mad, and a part of her is obviously defining herself in opposition to her mom. if her mom wants something out of her, she does the opposite, and that applies to her clothing too

anyway all of that is to say that magnus and izzy have a similar relationship with 1- their "lothario"/"slut" personas, and 2- the way they understand fashion and clothing. it's about expressing something to others, something that protects their vulnerabilities, for the both of them. and while i don't think they (particularly izzy) are exactly dying to go deep into that subject and their armors, there is that understanding between them, you know? and under the right amount of alcohol and in a safe enough environment when its just the two of them they might even talk about it and its nice to have someone who completely understands it, you know, that pretty specific defense mechanism and being reduced to sexualized stereotypes (especially since both of them are bi. id mention both of them being brown too but izzy's racial belonging in the show is uhhhhh weird to say the least so i wont get into that)

and also just the silly things! going to parties together, going shopping together, remember when magnus and izzy were both wearing the exact same color scheme and pattern? obsessed with the idea of them color coordinating just for like, the challenge of creating outfits that dont look the same or even like theyre supposed to match but that have similars colors and textures and patterns, you know?

also they are fantastic at gifting each other and somehow always know Exactly What The Other Has Their Eyes Own. like izzy will give magnus some eyeliner and he'll be like "how did you know ive been meaning to buy that?" and she'll go "i didnt" and wink at him, and the opposite is also true. or alternatively izzy will get him a book on astronomy and he'll be like "how did you know i was hyperfixating on black holes??" and she'll be like "i didn't" and the other way around as well. alec asks for their help buying gifts for the other more often than not, but izzy realized a long time ago that magnus likes alec's gifts better than hers, because even tho they aren't always a perfect fit, they are always so thoughtful and blow him away even tho that was in no way alec's intention (see: the omamori)

also izzy is fiercely protective of alec, magnus, and their relationship as a whole, which sometimes really warms magnus' heart when she just. jumps in to their defense when someone is being bitchy, you know? it's nice that she has their back

and i think thats all i have for now but aaa i love them

Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff could be the next U.S. Senators from Georgia, and they would work diligently with President Biden and VP Harris, and would most assuredly oversee legislation that allows the nation to progress in ways it has been in need of for decades, even centuries.

Warnock, who holds a position formerly held by Martin Luther King, Jr. at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, has a long history of standing up for the powerless, the helpless, and the unloved.

Ossoff, managing director of Insight TWI, has worked to expose corruption in governments, foreign and domestic since 2013, and will undoubtedly use his knowledge, resources, and expertise to affect positive change for all of us.

The good work has only just begun.

Shadowhunters Fandom Story - Part Sixteen

Five Fave Fics:

1. Your Love is Payment Enough by @tobythewise​ I don’t know what else to say, I have religiously followed this fic from the first day of posting. It really made me fall in love with Toby’s writing, every word was a treat and really made me just fall in love ? I don’t know what else to say. Toby is an amazing person and I am blessed to call them my friend. They have taught me to fall in love with omegaverse AUs and to be openly writing about kinks that have made me feel embarrassed about to write about before. This fic is the prime example, I love it so so much. Toby has made me feel comfortable to just write things that I otherwise wouldn’t even have conceived sharing with the world. The way Toby writes is a real safe space for me. I thrive on angst and tears and tragedy. But when I read Toby’s fics I know it’s safe, I know they will transport me to a world where things will be alright, writers like Toby are a beating heart in this fandom when you need a fluffy fic to go to. This fic has the right amount of angst that I can read and reread whenever and don’t need to be in a special mindspace to be for it. This fic is a gift that has kept on giving by every update and every chapter.

2. I've got a renegade heart (and it's screaming his name) by LiviKate

This fic was recommended to me by an Aro-ace friend following a discussion about Raphael’s sexuality and how to explore it in fanfiction while still being consistent with a sex-repulsed headcanon. This fic has given me a better insight on how to write Raphael and I take that with me every day when I write Saphael. It helps me navigate on what I want to include and not include in my own fics and that’s wonderful. I love rereading it when I can.

3. thousands upon thousands made an ocean by @oh-la-fraise-blog​ Team mortal!Alec for ever especially in a TWI! Au I love this fic so much, the wording, the way it’s constructed, it made me want to try things narratively. In so little words it got me to places and emotional places. I literally cannot even remember how many times I have reread this fic. Because it’s this just REALLY REALLY GOOD. I’m glad it exists, I’m glad how it inspired me. I still think about this fic often days or even months after reading this the first time. It’s amazing, it’s everything I want from a TWI fic.

4. In the Sin Bin by @otppurefuckingmagic​

I have to mention my first fic I read of this fandom. I was swept away with emotions and I loved the world building from day one. I’m usually not so interested in depowered/human AUs but this one made me like it and convinced me to read more of them and give them a chance. My primary attraction to Alec is the fact that he is closeted and I mean : such a mood ? This fic was around while I am still struggling with myself. This fic somehow helped me, in times where I wasn’t feeling nice or up for it or when I was broody. I was just able to tune out and read this and it made me feel so much better about things; things being myself, my gender etc. I’m glad it exists, I’m glad this is a to go fic that made me feel nice and good. AND THERE ARE ANGST SCENES THAT LIKE I STILL REMEMBER UNTIL THIS DAY AND ITS BEEN LIKE OVER A YEAR NOW.

5. as your sun sets (i know you in bleary-eyed 3AM)

I don’t know where to begin and where to start, this fic, the writing style. I have yet to review this fic but I feel like I can’t because there is so much that just feels perfect to me. If I ever had writing goals I think it’s theprophetlemonade’s writing style. I can only wish to write this good. I hope to get there eventually and this fic is a motivation to keep going and hoping that I’ll be able to develop my own style and to continue writing even tho the words are sometimes not doing THEIR THING. About this fic I only have this to say : I almost never read Gen or T rated fics that are over 3k, I just don’t, unless very special circumstances. These were super special circumstances, I really needed a long ass fic that was a sense8 AU and I was desperate. So I tried this fic any way. AND OH DAMN (just imagine me capslocking the rest of what I’m about to say)  this fic changed how I saw fanfiction as a whole; this fic also kept elements that I really enjoyed in the show, Jace and Alec’s relationship, the background actual polyam Clacemon a pure delight. The yearning both as a reader and Alec for wanting to meet Magnus. It was so good, so.fuckng.good.oh.my.god. I can’t explain how much this fic just made me want to be better at writing as a whole; I’m thankful it exists, I’m thankful it’s there and that I can read it as many times I want. I love the character building, I love the entirety of it. The way the cluster manifests, how it feels natural and how the narrative flows, the fluidity of it, the way that this whole fic is constructed is a pure work of art. I weep as much as I am elated for it.

Tell me what writing for this fandom means to you.

I don’t know where to begin, through this fandom I have found a whole set of friends that mean the world to me as of today. I have wanted to and definitely have improved my writing thanks to this fandom. I have tried things I wouldn’t have even imagined writing before. There are things I was able to try and still want to try and even if I don’t have a steady audience of people I still want to write what interests me above all. Ships that I find interesting to try out to explore. AUs that are maybe a bit over the top or are a bit silly but I feel confident enough to actually share these with readers because I am finally starting to believe that there is readership for what I write.

The first thing I did was cater to my fandom experience and this has just melted out to the better. I’m so grateful. So grateful there are safe spaces for me out there with my main, rare-pairs and even controversial ships. I have tried different styles still in pursuit of getting better and to improve my writing, I’d like to believe and have improved. These characters, oh do I love them all so much. All these characters have potential and made me help focusing on improving them through plot. I have so much improved in my writing when it’s about atmosphere and emotions. And godamned even dialogues (dialogues and fighting scenes are the bane of my existence). This is a gift that I just cherish beyond everything else out there. Next to the friends I have made out there of course.

I also finally wrote my first actual long fic and finished it ? it’s an achievement I’m proud off and will be forever proud of. A bit longer than a year ago I was somewhere really deep, very deep, mentally. I was able to pick myself up again and do what I really love doing best, and that’s writing. I have this fandom to thank for that.
