The way that I've contemplated how to respond to this for literal DAYS!!!! You are so amazingly sweet and caring. It's super rare to find someone who is truly dedicated not only to laughs and talks, but also very dedicated to bringing forth incredibly detailed literature. It's almost more than just a hobby. We're literally writing works of art in a way and bringing along an intricately detailed storyline that is SO MUCH FUN to write. I'm truly blessed to have you, Quinn. Strengths: Great at portraying character with details and build up in any story (have ya’ll seen the way she writes obi DAMN just wowoo)

Weakness: Hard time fulfilling requests without straying too far from the original request while also making it her own. 

First Fic: Father Figure obi x jedi!reader (ya’ll i talked to rini before she started writing and then i saw that fic on my dash and i was blown AWAY too much talent its def one of my favs) 

Inspiration: She can get inspo from all types of things and places. Watching tcw helps to get to know the characters deeply and intimately. Most of the time inspo strikes randomly, other times in between the lines of something she saw. 

Fav Fic(s) Written so far: Cannonball obi x jedi! reader,,, a quick summary obi wan just goes right for a long awaited confession to you. This is one is her fav because it got to start writing and inspired the rest of her writing. (read this asap) 

Thing they love most about writing: she loves writing in general cause of the creative process it takes to get to the final piece. She feels everything is storytelling so it’s like putting a puzzle together it is a mental challenge but it stimulates her creativity (this was fckn poetic bruh she said all of that)

RINI babyyyy you know how much I love you! I’ve seen you grow as a writer since you started writing this year and everything you write is immaculate *insert the flavor is immaculate meme* the detail, the portrayal, the ideas, the imagery is all there in your own style. You know what you want when you write and you know how to execute it. The way you write obi wan is all your own you make him feel human, vulnerable, and questioning his place as a jedi. In other stories you make him the jedi, other times you didn’t make him a jedi just obi wan trying to navigate life and handle the aftermath of order 66 way after it was done (inhibition was one of my favs because how well you captured the trauma of the order and what its done to him.) Rini you are the sweetest person when we first started talking we connected over culture and music which is always so damn fun to do with you so i really appreciate you for handling my shenanigans. I got your back forever love. XX

Writer Appreciation Week Day 5 - “Fuck Kishi,” or “How to take canon and make it better” (my interpretation)

“As Kakashi and Yamato begin to offer each other sake, it dawns on Naruto that this is actually happening.

Kakashi, his sensei and Hokage, who has taught him almost every important lesson he knows, is marrying someone. Kakashi, who has spent more time at the memorial stone at this training ground than half the people present combined. Kakashi, who buys their team ramen, and pretends to like Sakura’s food experiments, and strong-arms Sasuke into displaying human affection, and accepted Sai into their team without a word. He has someone to hold him up, in the same way he holds their team and the village up.

It makes Naruto smile. He’ll have to thank Yamato later.”

I don’t agree with Kishimoto on a lot of his plot choices; however, I find it difficult to flat out say “fuck kishi!” because I mean... it’s his story after all. And also, he’s the man that created this whole Naruto universe we love so dearly.

With that being said, I chose a fic for this category that, well... improves upon canon quite a bit. It’s not outright anti-Kishi or anti-canon, which is part of why I like it so much. It simply takes the story Kishi created and runs with it, filling in the gaps that he so graciously left for us. :)

This fic is wonderfully written (as is everything by the author) and it left me smiling and feeling downright happy. It feels like this story was written for those of us out there who believe Kakashi and Yamato truly deserve happiness. 

Also in my head this is canon and sometimes I forget it’s not whooops...

I’m starting a new thing this year where I share a fanfiction that I really enjoyed. This is supposed to show people that fanfiction isn’t something to be ashamed of, and is a type writing that takes a lot of freakin’ effort and time. Day 3 - Favorite Badass Moment

“From the center of Kinoe’s palm burst a multitude of wooden branches, stretching fast and expanding wide to catch his stunned intruder. A blue tangle of lighting engulfed the nin’s hand, screaming loud as he leapt forward, carving in toward his opponent. Kinoe reached behind himself to grasp anything that might serve as some kind of a weapon, pleased and slightly amused at what his fingers found. His smile only spread further as splintered wood and sparks flew. How exhilarating it was, to fight back.

Just as the masked face of his intruder broke into view, Kinoe swung, hard as he could, the large frying pan he’d snatched up before. The shinobi’s eyes widened yet again, meeting with the mystery mokuton-user, a breath from his body and unable to dodge the impending blow. A loud clang echoed through the tower, followed by a thud, and the silver-headed nin lay crumpled and unconscious at Kinoe’s feet.”

There are so many good badass moments out there but I actually love this one so much because it doesn’t use a jutsu!! I’ve read (and written) so much about awesome ninja moves and jutsus and those are all cool. But this one is a Tangled AU and I absolutely love that it kept the frying pan scene. I felt like somehow it was more badass that Kinoe used the frying pan instead of only using his jutsus. He was resourceful. 

This entire story is so amazing and if you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend it! And chapters are still being written for it, which is awesome too!

Had someone said to Terushima “One day you will wear a living scarf,” he wouldn’t have doubted it could happen in a world full of magic like theirs was. However, he imagined talking feather boas, nicely chatty, affectionate neck warmers, with tiny soft hands ready to massage your sore spots, silky scarves which would change colours and textures based on your mood or requests.

We are excited to provide you with the final details for our Gender Identities week for our first event ever! This will be the third week of our month long event, When We Take Different Paths. Thank you so much for voting for our prompts, we couldn’t have done it without you!
