Some evil FMA AUs etc that I think are fun
Riza Hawkeye creating a squad of flame alchemists loyal to her and using them for her own (or Mustang's) purposes
Mustang's body used as a host for Greed instead of Ling's
Rose joins the military to try to watch over Ed, a la Hawkeye to Mustang
Sibling homunculi defect from Father together with Greed (bonus: to Ed's chagrin, they view him and Al as something like uncles); now they're all on the run from their dads
Ling not feeling easy in his own mind after Greed leaves - it's too quiet in there
Scar gets his brother's reconstruction arm instead
Winry gets adopted & trained by Hawkeye
Re-embodied Al donates his armor to a cat rescue so it can always hold cats hehe
Olivier as the boys' parent figure instead of Izumi
Found family for the boys comprised of Mustang, Hawkeye, the Mustang Gang, and Mustang's family (his "sisters" and Madam Christmas)
Mustang dies instead of Hughes, and Hughes carries on his work to honor his memory, despite not being as ambitious as Mustang was
The boys as Ishvallans

going feral thinking about lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers again. i fell in love with you and you betrayed me. i would cross a galaxy for a chance to hurt you. you know me better than anyone and i hate you for it. the enemy part is a lie because i never figured out how to do anything but love you. we needed time to come back around but we can still do it. i get to say i love you again and it feels like i can breathe. FERAL

3 or 13 for anyone you want!! (all the angst please give us all the angst)
hi hi hi!!! absolutely -- i am alwayssss happy to do angst. here's a lily/alice take on #3 for ya!
3. And this is the end, / the car running out of road (Aristotle, Billy Collins)
(poetry flash fic game)
Lily knows the end is coming. She can see it in the way Alice leaves in the mornings, her cup of coffee only half-drunk. No goodbye kiss that turns into just one more time before work. No long dinners, no late nights, no laughing.
“Don’t you want breakfast?” Lily asks. She’s on the couch in her pajamas, on her second cup of coffee because she’s a fast drinker.
“No,” says Alice as she fixes the buttons on her shirt. “I have to get going.”
Lily nods. “Kiss?” she asks, when Alice has her hand on the doorknob.
Alice pauses, squints, and walks back over to the couch. She drops a quick kiss on Lily’s forehead, and then she’s off.
Lily feels like an in-between, a placeholder. She’s pined over Alice for years, idolized her at first and then loved her truly after school. Alice likes Lily, certainly, but every time Lily brings up their future, Alice changes the subject. Lily knows they both want kids, they both want careers, they both want a house with a front yard and a little Crup, but Lily wants all of this with Alice. She suspects Alice wants it with someone else.
They never show up to parties together, but they leave together. Mostly. Sometimes Alice talks to Frank Longbottom all night and doesn’t drink or laugh as much and goes home alone, barely looking in Lily’s direction. Lily doesn’t mind, except for how she does, and her heart breaks over and over each time Alice walks out the door. Lily’s heart has split so many times now she’s surprised the blood can still run through it. She tries to take joy in sleeping diagonally across the bed, in not waking up to someone else’s alarm, in an extra cold pillow, but her stomach churns and she’s sick in the toilet with no one to hold her hair.
So the end is coming. Lily sits on her couch and doesn’t drink her coffee, wondering if she should bother buying one more bag of the kind Alice likes.

Listen, I am a boring predictable human, you may preach a blade under the chin, and you'd be correct.
However, I think that we, as a society, too often overlook the "shit they're coming, let's hide in this narrow place that squishes our bodies together while I hold my hand on your mouth"

Damian, walking into the Batcave: I require assistance.
Dick: Sure, Dami! What can I help you with?
Damian: Not from you.
Bruce, thinking: Damian... Damian needs... father's help? MY help?
Bruce, being way too fucking smug: Ah, well, Dick, don't be sad. Sometimes a boy just needs his father. How can I help you, son?
Damian: Not from you, either. I require assistance from Stephanie.
Stephanie: HA! SUCK IT, BRUCE!

Dp x dc AU - If the Internation Space Station orbits the Earth 16 times a day, then so does the Watchtower.
Danny’s on track to move out of his parent’s house and move to Gotham for college (He swears that Sam bribed the board to let him in- and she wasn’t even going to that university!) but the dorms don’t open for another three days and he cannot wait to escape. Seeing his parents try to perfect yet another weapon to use against him while he changed out the ecto filters on the portal was too much. He’s completely over the idea of staying when he already has everything packed and ready to go.
The solution? Take all his boxes into his haunt in the Ghost Zone, leave them there and then spend some time in camping in space. He’s already explored the Infinite Realms enough to be bored of it for a minute (not to mention he wants to avoid getting more ‘favors’ to do from Clockwork) and hell, he just wants to see some stars.
He grabs his tent, a sleeping bag and all the food and things he could need and brings it into the atmosphere with him. Keeping it all tethered to him, Danny stays in a fixed position above Gotham (Cause that’s where he’s going next, duh) and treats himself to some quality Me-time.
Only problem is that several times a day he has to make himself intangible while he lets satellites and things pass through. Easy enough and honestly pretty interesting to observe as a wannabe engineering student.
He doesn’t know when exactly it happened the first time- but it turns out the Heroes of Earth all congregated in a satelite office building? It was bigger than the ISS! What the heck!?
Going intangible but not invisible, the JL spot Danny and are incredibly confused how an ‘Alien’ teen just happens to appear in their meeting rooms disappearing at the rate (slowly but surely) of the Watchtower moving through space. Was that camping gear? How was he roasting a marshmallow? Did propane camping stoves even work in space??
16 times a day they get the opportunity to ask Danny a few questions. He mostly ignores them or gives them joke answers. Eventually Martian Manhunter phases through the Watchtower to join him.
They talk about how hard transition periods in life can be and having strained relationships with family. J’ohn returns to the watchtower on its next cycle and reports that the kid is just fine, being an adult is just a hard thing to do.

i hear your "alice is tall" theories after that comment about her hiding her snacks, but may i present to you "alice is actually short but she has no shame in balancing on two chairs stacked on top of each other, if it means that no one else will find her stuff".

Okay. I'm about to say something that's probably going to get me run out of the fandom, but.
I don't actually think Tommy leaving their date early had anything to do with him not wanting to pressure Buck (regardless of what he claimed later). Instead, I think it had everything to do with Tommy being annoyed and no longer into it that evening, and I think that is both okay AND significantly more interesting than taking him at his word later and framing it as some selfless act by a sanitized elder gay shepherd just trying to do right by Buck.
