A Work Proposal (Part 15)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Changbin x reader x Felix
Word Count: 2.5K
Genre: Smut 🔞
Warnings: 18+, Minors DNI, swearing, unprotected sex (don't be idiots), fingering, pet names
You had been working with Stray Kids for a while now and after a long day at work turns into a very unexpected but intriguing proposal. Will this change your world or end your career?
This was the first time you had ever left the country on an actual world tour, sure you had travelled with the kids to Japan on the occasion but this was a non stop for weeks at a time which was all new to you. Sure you knew the schedule back to front and start to finished because you had helped with the entire almost military operation it took to organize it but to actually be going along for the ride was not something you had ever done. The first few shows had been an intense burst of emotions, hopes, dreams and achievements and you could not have been prouder at how hard the kids had worked or how well it had all worked. But now sitting on a plane to head to Japan knowing you were going to be away for the better part of 2 months you were nervous of not only what might go wrong with the schedule but what might happen with your involvement in their lives as well as with their work.
All the stage crew and band had flown ahead so that things could be set up and ready to go and so far they stage crew had said that everything was running to schedule. The make up, costume and hair crew and half on the managers were on the next flight out and you were now sitting beside Chan feeling like there was something that you had missed.
"You are more nervous than the rest of us and it's our tour" Chan chuckled easily pulling his headphone out of his ear.
"I'm worried that its not going to be perfect" you sighed leaning back in the seat watching as some of the others took their plane selfies for Bubble and got themselves comfortable.
"It will be no matter what happens, we all know how hard you worked for us so it will be amazing" he sighed nudging you with his shoulder so that it didn't seem to friendly, you weren't taking chances with the other managers and flight crew around.
"So have you worked out your hotel room schedule?" you asked quietly looking at your tablet to check if there was anything you needed to do before you landed "Han told me you were working on some sort of who shares with who schedule".
"Of course he tells you that" Chan laughed loudly making it look like you two were laughing at something on your tablet "We thought if we just decided where you were all the time that would be a bit shitty of us".
"Because you are going to be exhausted and need rest after each show?" you mused knowing that at least with him that was never going to happen.
"No because you are your own person and you should be able to decide who you are with too not just be passed around like a toy, none of us ever want you to be hurt again because of any of us, you mean too much to us" he whispered seriously his voice soft as though he really needed you to understand how much they all cared.
"I know I'm not Channie" you smiled trying your hardest to not lean in and kiss his soft plump lips as you met his eyes looking at you so affectionately "I know that you all care for me".
"More than just care" he whispered his eyes flicking to your lips before he shook his head a little and moved himself back from you to prevent himself giving in to the exact same need you were feeling. Sighing you went back to your endless checking up on the schedule and making sure that in the few hours until you land the extra security you had arranged would be ready and in position to keep the kids safe. You didn't want to run any chances of anyone falling or getting injured by people who seemed to not be able to tell what was and wasn't appropriate when faced with seeing their favorite idol in the flesh.
When the plane touched down in Tokyo you were relieved staff were already making their way through security and immigration to collect everyone's bags, the head of the security that you had arranged was waiting for you and the fans in the terminal were, for the moment at least, brilliantly behaved. You made your way through the international terminal fairly easily hoping that the same level of respect would be maintained once you got into the general public section of the terminal, but you were faced with more fans than you expected. The kids were kept safe but the three guards you had asked for each member but it was the sheer small area of space that you were given to get through that was making you feel very uneasy especially when it came to the point you needed to form a single file to get through, you had been walking beside Chan most of the time keeping an eye out for all of the members in front of you but when Chan placed his hand on your lower back to move you in front of him to now keep you safe you knew that you were going to be scrutinized by Stay.
Stepping into the car you felt a sense of relief as Chan sat behind you beside Changbin and Felix dropped himself next to you while Seungmin sat in front of you.
"Is it always that...intense?" you asked nervously knowing that you would get a straight answer from them more than the other staff members.
"No sometimes it's worse" Changbin hummed his hand on Felix's shoulder.
"Ok good to know, I'll be more prepared next time" you sighed pressing your cool hands to your warm cheeks.
"Are you alright Jagi?" Felix mumbled taking his hand and placing against your forehead to check you.
"I'm alright Felix, I just don't like large crowds, makes me nervous" you smiled softly as he pouted softly lacing his fingers with yours once you lowered them from your face.
"We will keep you in the middle of us then to keep you safe" Seungmin smiled sweetly turning to look at you as you nodded knowing that you were never going to let that happen.
"We have two hours before your first sound check so that we can ensure everything is working then you have the night off before it all begins tomorrow" you announced knowing that the others in the second van were probably being told the same thing.
"So we have tonight?" Felix repeated
"Yes, you can go out and grab dinner, work out, write, rest or whatever just don't go missing or I will cry" you joked easily as the other two managers in the van chuckled along. Arriving at the hotel you went up to your room to shower and change before you made the solo trip to the venue to go over everything before the soundcheck started. The band had been set up and the stage crew had assure that the stage was safe as well as the confetti guns, streamer cannons and that the risers and stage doors were exactly to specification so all you really needed to do was the sign off before the boys tested it fully. Chan messaged you to say that they were leaving for the venue and would be there soon so you decided to wait for them in the designated rooms that had been set up for them.
"No one got lost" he grinned as he walked in followed by the other kids.
"Thank god, that would have been so much paperwork" you sighed dramatically as Chan sat next to you on the couch to look over your notes on the venue.
"Changbin and Felix want you tonight is that ok?" he whispered lowly to keep from being overheard.
"And they couldn't ask because?" you teased looking around to see if any of the managers were around.
"Because I said I would talk to you about it, and that you are already stressed about this tour you do not have to feel like you are required to stay with us every night you need rest too" he smiled wryly.
"I know that Chan and I will make sure to take care of myself too" you promised smiling at him softly.
"I'll let them know you will swing by their room later" Chan chuckled softly.
Knocking on the hotel room door seemed slightly odd considering that Chan and Lee Know's was across the hall and two doors down was their managers room. But the door swung open before you could give it much more thought and Changbin welcomed you in wearing a tight black tee that had you almost drooling as he allowed you to walk passed him into the room.
"Lixie is going to start us off baby, you want that?" Changbin whispered huskily against the shell of your ear, his broad chest pressed against your back. You couldn't help the shiver that ran down your spine as Felix grinned at you his eyes looking too innocent for what was about to happen.
"Come here Jagi" Felix purred holding his hand out to you which you took instantly letting him guide you to him to kiss you softly as he began undressing you slowly letting each piece of clothing fall to the floor around you messily while he kissed you all over.
"Felix" you gasped as he began nipping at your neck gently enough to not leave any marks on you but enough to make you skin burn for him.
"Lay down for me Jagi, I'm going to make you feel good" he mumbled against your skin as he helped you onto the bed.
"Once you get our baby to cum she's all mine" Changbin groaned as Felix ran his hands softly over your skin making you whimper in pleasure, his mouth moving to catch one of your nipples between his lips. His fingertips continued to tease you as the got closer and closer to your core seemingly happy to leave small marks on your chest as he worked you up gradually. When Felix finally pressed his fingers to your clit you moaned quietly making Felix's breath hitch your half closed eyes looking up at him.
"You're so cute Jagi" he cooed softly pressing his lips to your throat as you arched into him. Your breaths already coming out is soft pants as his talented fingers got you closer to your orgasm almost embarrassingly fast as you continued to moan and whimper at his movements.
"Relax baby, let Lixie make your stress go away" Changbin hummed from the end of the bed where he was sitting watching Felix's fingers circle you clit and your folds get wetter the closer you got.
"Lix, mmm" you mumbled your eyes glazed as you let your mind focus on the feeling of his lips on your skin and the pleasure pulsing through you while you ground your hips into his hand.
"So pretty Jagi, so pretty" he whispered biting gently at your breast and licking and sucking on the skin to sooth it.
"Lixie!" you cried your high crashing over you as you arched off the bed again his fingers slowing but not stopping to help you through your high.
"Such a good girl" Changbin groaned watching your slit glisten in the low light.
"So beautiful Jagi" Felix murmured against your lips as he kissed you softly before moving away and letting Changbin loom over you.
"All ready for me then" he smirked spreading your thighs even wider and hooking your legs over his shoulders before rubbing the tip of his cock along your folds. You gazed up at him your mouth falling open as he pushed into you even after your orgasm the feeling of being full of his cock was enough to almost sting. Changbin set a deep yet steady pace to begin with letting you feel every ridge and vein of his length as your tits bounced for him the coil in your belly starting to form again as he watched every expression you made.
"I'm going to fuck you until all you can think of is my cock baby" he smirked picking up his pace and thrusting faster into you making you gasp and mewl.
"Changbin" you whimpered as he picked up his pace again his fingers starting to massage your clit in time with his hips making you see stars, you know at this rate your going to cum again long before he does but you can't stop yourself from hurtling closer as you turned your head to find Felix slowly tugging his cock watching the spot where Changbin is disappearing inside you.
"Eyes on me baby" Changbin coos gently making you turn your head back to meet his heated gaze "Fuck you are so gorgeous like this" your eyes glazed over as your high washed over you making your walls tighten around his cock as he pulled himself from you but continued to play with your clit to let your pleasure continue washing over you.
"Changbin?" you mumbled dazed by your own pleasure and confused why he had pulled out of you when you were sure he hadn't finished.
"I'm here baby, I'm not done with this perfect pussy yet don't worry" he soothed sheathing himself into your still trembling walls. "How are you still this tight?" he groaned snapping his hips into you again making your eyes roll back in your head. Your mind could only focus on the feeling of Changbin filling you, the sound of skin smacking against skin and the sounds of Changbin and Felix's pants and groans.
"You alright Jagi?" Felix murmured letting go of his dick to crouch down beside you sweeping your hair from your sweat dampened skin. You nodded slowly not able to even form words as his fingers grazed down your cheek to your neck making you arch your back and let a nonsensical noise come from your throat.
"I don't think she can speak anymore Bin" he smirked turning his head to meet Changbin's eyes as he continued to fuck you deeply although a little slower as he moved back to where he was sitting and letting Changbin continue to fuck you into the mattress.
"Such a good girl, getting all cock drunk for me" he groaned sliding his fingers back down your leg to start pinching and rolling your puffy clit between his fingers softly making you keen loudly as another orgasm washed over you tears flowing from your eyes as you blankly started up at him your eyes to blurred with tears to even see him clearly. Another few thrusts and Changbin emptied himself inside you painting your walls white with his seed before gently pulling himself from your completely spent body.
Felix was instantly at your side stroking your skin and praising you while Changbin went into the bathroom to grab a warm wash cloth to clean you up. Together they carefully cleaned your swollen slit and wiped your tears before laying you in the large bed between them holding you closely until you began to slowly come back around.
"Didn't take care of Lix" you eventually half slurred turning your head to look at the angelic blond beside you.
"There is always the morning jagi" Felix smiled dazingly leaning forward to kiss your nose.
"Rest baby we've got you" Changbin chuckled putting your hair softly as your eyes fluttered shut again.

His eyes on you made you more nervous than anything you had experienced in this retched place until then. It was both a familiar and unfamiliar feeling, filled with the promise of pain and suffering if you did as much as attempt to look in his direction, which you quickly realized you didn’t want to do.
Coward, a tiny voice in your head accused as you made yourself even smaller in your seat. But you couldn’t help the emotions that being under his predatory gaze evoked within you; primal fear, the uncontrollable need to freeze or flight. You knew that fighting was out of the question where he was concerned. You couldn’t even gather the courage to try it.
Unfortunately, there was no place for you to run or hide in this prison. Not until you left the game a winner.
Or died. One of the two.
You could feel your shoulders tense up as the next round approached minute by minute, and so you hurried to finish your meal, barely tasting the chocolate crumbs on your tongue.
The Jack of Hearts was an easier game than most in your humble opinion, and you were lucky enough to trust your game partner (for now at least) – still, the very real possibility of your demise was always hovering over your head like the dark cloud that it was. However, given your current circumstances, dying didn’t seem like the worse fate you could have.
“You know him, don’t you?”
You jumped in your seat as a man sat beside you, almost choking on your cookie as you tried to hide the grimace that took over your expression as your partner’s eyes sharply looked into yours. You coughed as you shook your head, already denying it despite not even asking whom he was referring to.
“You do.”
“What?” you tried, faking ignorance, only making him roll his eyes.
“Him,” Chishiya said as he nodded in the direction of the man still watching you. “Banda. You know him, don’t you?”
You knew that Chishiya was smarter than most, but you were still impressed by how observant he could be. Or were you that obvious in your state of fear?
“What makes you say that?”
“He hasn’t taken his eyes off of you while you’ve been doing the exact opposite.”
“So what?” you shrugged, trying to act nonchalant but knowing you failed when Chishiya raised a brow. “He just makes me uncomfortable, that’s all. You know as well as I do that he’s a serial killer.”
That would be the understatement of the century.
Banda Sunato didn’t just make you uncomfortable; you feared him to a degree that made you almost incapable of functioning, all your senses focused on him 24/7, waiting for the moment he would strike. Because it wasn’t a matter of if – you knew him too well to ever believe that – but a matter of when; when he would catch you alone.
Because he wasn’t just a serial killer and – to you – he wasn’t just some man, some criminal. He was one of Japan’s most infamous serial killers, with 24 victims confirmed, and who knew how many were still left to admit. Banda Sunato was a man destined to live the rest of his days on death row, until the day he would be executed for his crimes and finally go back to the hell he had spawned from.
You so happened to be the woman that had called him your husband.
“Chishiya.” His voice made a shiver run down your spine, and you could feel your heart start racing against your chest as Banda sat right in front of you, his hands in your field of vision as you stared down at the tabletop. You hadn’t even noticed him approach. “I would like to speak with her alone…”
You gulped as you side-eyed the man beside you, imploring him with your eyes to please not leave you alone with him. However, either by ignorance or cruelty, your pleas fell on deaf ears, and Chishiya stood up and left the table with nothing else but a nod and a wordless hum.
A moment went by where neither you nor Banda said a word, his fingers tip-tapping on the table’s surface in a familiar rhythm; one one two, one one two. Tap tap tap, tap tap tap. He used to tap that same rhythm against your naked skin, and you could always tell if something was bothering him by how fast his movements were. And right now, his fingers were drumming against the tabletop like a nervous tick.
You could feel his eyes on you, observing you, pressuring you into doing or saying something, to give him a reason to act. So, you stayed still, controlling your shaky breathing as your hands trembled. You knew this moment was coming the moment you entered this game arena and your eyes locked.
Then his movements suddenly stopped, and you held your breath.
“You’re scared of me,” he said in a low tone, matter of factly.
“C-Can you blame me?” you whispered back, hiding your hands under the table with a gasp when he attempted to graze his fingers against yours. “Don’t touch me!” you added when his hand followed your movements, grabbing your sleeve.
“I don’t like it.”
You said nothing, eyes still cast down. How could he expect you not to fear him after everything he had done?
“You know better than to be scared,” he continued, a faint hint of annoyance in his tone. You forced yourself to whisper a retort, gathering the courage to say it aloud when he asked, “What did you say?”
“Maybe you should’ve thought of that before you murdered all those women,” you let out, eyes locking on his. He was not angry as you thought he would be, but you could see he wasn’t happy by the small crease in between his brows. He looked at you like you were a child throwing a tantrum and he was the adult that had to make you see reason. For the first time since you saw him again, you started to feel something else than just fear.
“You know I would never hurt you,” he said, fingers gripping your sleeve as he pulled your arm to him.
“I don’t know you, Sunato.” You shook your arm out of his grasp, suddenly aware that others were watching you. Good. “I never really did.”
You gasped when he said your name, looking into his eyes; it was the first time you were hearing it from his lips since he had been ruled guilty of all those murders. You hadn’t dared to read his letters or accept any of his calls since then.
“You know that’s not true,” he said. You averted your eyes again, looking back at him as he repeated your name. “I treated you well, didn’t I?”
He did treat you well. That was why it hurt even more. Because the man that dried your tears after your mother’s passing, took you on random trips and made you laugh with his dark sense of humor couldn’t possibly be the same man that dumped women’s maimed bodies in shallow graves. That was why part of you still mourned the husband you had lost even though more than three years had gone by. The other part simply acted as if he had never existed in the first place.
“You didn’t visit,” he added after a moment of silence. “You promised you would.”
“That was a promise I had to break.”
His face and his name had been everywhere. Every news channel, every newspaper, every time you logged on to social media, there he was; Banda Sunato, 25 years old, The Tokyo Ripper, accused of the horrible murder of 24 women. You hadn’t believed it at first, not even when his only survivor identified him, not even when they matched his DNA, not even when more evidence was found connecting him to the crime scenes. You only believed it when you saw the truth in his eyes, crude and black as coal as the judge declared him guilty and he had no reaction but to smirk.
It was like a mask falling, and underneath it was a monster that you swore you had no idea existed.
You couldn’t lie to yourself after that. Not when everyone could see him for who he really was. Not when he didn’t even bother to hide it anymore. Not even from you.
“Do you still love me?”
The question made you gasp in surprise before you felt a frown distort your features.
“Don’t talk to me about love when you don’t even know what the word means,” you spat in his direction as you made a move to stand up; how dare he ask such a thing after what he had done to you?
You gasped as you felt his long fingers curl around your wrist in a tight grip, forcing you to sit back down at the table with visible commotion. You felt your face heat up as you tried to ignore everyone’s looks and whispers. He wouldn’t dare to hurt you in front of others, would he?
His hand let go of your wrist to grip your chin, forcing you to meet his eyes. His face was so close to yours that you could smell him, that scent that made him him, fresh and misty with a hint of ginger. It made you want to take a deep breath and tears pool in your eyes. You missed him.
“That was not what I asked,” he corrected with a dangerous look in his gaze. He was upset, you could see that, but you also knew him better than anyone. “Do you still love me?”
Your breath got caught in your lungs, and you couldn’t look away from his dark brown eyes, the ones you used to love so much. The ones you still loved, you realized with a tightness in your chest.
“Do you?” you asked in a whisper. “Did you ever love me?”
Something shifted in his eyes, and for a moment you just stared at each other. Then he opened his mouth, but before he could talk a computer voice snapped both of you out of your bubble.
“It is time to give your answer. Please enter a solitary confinement cell of your choosing.”
You took that chance to flee, legs shaking as you made your way to the cells on the upper level. You didn’t hesitate as you closed yourself in one, pressing your hands against the sink on the furthest wall and closing your eyes as you let out a shaky breath, followed by a low sob.
This game was not what was going to kill you; he was. You had seen it in the way he had looked at you, the way his eyes had darkened when you asked if he had ever truly loved you. You doubt he could ever love anyone, but whatever he felt for you was strong enough to make a chill run down your spine when you thought about it.
It was possessive, primal, like a need. You used to love it when he looked at you like that, mistaking it for passion and devotion. But not now, when you knew that he wouldn’t hesitate to kill you if he couldn’t have you.
He had told you that himself, in the first and only letter you had accepted from him. You had ignored every phone call, and had thrown in the trash every note and every other letter; but not that one. Not the one he wrote for your birthday, your second one after he had been sentenced. You felt so lonely, still crying over the husband you had lost, tricking yourself into believing he was dead. Rather dead than a murderer.
And then there was that letter, written in his neat handwriting, spelling out your name, and that was when you realized you couldn’t deny the truth anymore.
You filed for divorce after that, praying to every god that was listening that Banda Sunato never got the chance to be free and chase you down.
Gods – if they even existed – clearly had a twisted sense of humor.
“You know you can’t run from me.”
You tensed as his voice sounded behind you, not exactly surprised to find him stepping in and closing the door before the familiar click of a lock echoed in your ears. You were now locked in a cell with him; you were going to die.
You couldn’t utter a word as a moment passed, eyes focused on him as he calmly walked to stop right in front of you, hands behind his back and a light smirk on his lips. He looked smug, like a fox that had caught the rabbit, but you knew that his emotions were more complex than that. You could see it in the arch of his brow, how tense his jaw was; a small part of him was as nervous as you were.
“Please, give your answer,” the game demanded.
“Spades,” he said, eyes locked on yours. You said nothing, too transfixed by him, waiting for a sign of what he was about to do next. “Say your deck, baby,” he told you after a moment. “C’mon, use your words.”
“H-Hearts,” you forced yourself to utter in a whisper. You almost wished for your answer to be wrong; that way you wouldn’t have to face him anymore. He couldn’t hurt you if you were dead.
You jumped in place as a bang somewhere down the hall announced someone’s mistake, and the doors unlocked soon after. You let out a shaky breath; you were still alive. The game hadn’t killed you yet.
“Aren’t you happy to be alive,” he whispered in your ear, fingers combing through your hair just on the verge of too roughly. “Alive and with me, together again as we were meant to be?”
You shook your head, hands on his chest weakly pushing him away.
“Let me go,” you breathed out in a shaky tone, whimpering as he pushed you against the sink. “Please. I can’t do this…”
“Do what? Be with your husband?”
“Sunato, please, stop-”
“Shh, calm down,” he cooed against your head, arms hugging you closer despite your attempts to push him away. “I’m not going to hurt you.”
You gave up then, falling into his embrace. You sobbed against his chest like he had come back from the dead, hugging him like you were afraid he would disappear. The last three years weren’t real; you were still happily married, and he hadn’t killed anyone. You could almost forget where you were and what he had done. Everything would be so much easier if you did.
He was caught by surprise when you kissed him – you could hear it in his gasp and the way he suddenly tensed before relaxing and cupping your cheeks in his hands, urging you to deepen the kiss. You didn’t stop him there, letting his hands roam over your body as he made you sit up on the sink, lips only leaving yours to suck and nibble at the skin available on your neck and chest.
You closed your eyes as the man that had destroyed your life all those years ago ravished you with abandon. He had blood on his hands and he had betrayed you beyond forgiveness. But did any of that matter now?
You refused to believe it did.
Not when his kisses felt like fire on your skin, the cold ceramic of the sink under you barely noticeable as he stripped you naked from the waist down, fingers at your burning core the moment your panties were discarded aside. You were dripping wet before he even touched you, legs shaking as you worked him free of his belt. You wanted him inside you. You would die without him.
“You have no idea how much I missed you,” he whispered against your cheek as he rutted into you, slender fingers gripping your hip and raising a knee up as he fucked you at a rapid pace, hips snapping against the back of your thighs.
Your core burned in pleasure and pain, your whines and moans muffled by his mouth as he made you feel every inch of him. You had missed his body against yours, his cock inside you, hard and hot and maddening. He fucked you like it was the last time, forcing you to take every inch of him again and again until you were hoarse from screaming and your neck and chest were marked with his teeth. It reminded you of your life from before, when he would come home and fuck you like you were nothing but a whore, leaving you crying, bruised, and dripping with his cum before kissing you senseless and taking care of you for the rest of the night.
Only after did you realize he fucked you like that after a successful killing.
It was madness. All of this. But why would you care when the world itself had become mad?
“Promise you’ll stay with me?” you hesitantly asked as you regained your breath, his forehead pressed against yours and his cum dripping down your leg.
The way he looked at you – full of desire and contentment – made you gift him a smile of your own. He smiled back, a genuine smile, and, for the first time since he was gone, you felt at peace.
“I do. And I never break a promise. I’m not letting you go.”

three summers — kmg & yjh
Tumblr media
Jeonghan thought it took three summers for Mingyu to fall in love with him. Mingyu thinks it took three heartbeats.
↪︎ kim mingyu x yoon jeonghan
↪︎ word count: 2.4k
↪︎ tags: friends to lovers, angst??, slow SLOW burn, mingyu is a serial yearner, mingyu's pov, jeonghan is perfect but a little slow lol, me being a serial yapper ...
[** dashes are for time skips; slashes separate independent conversations!]
“Mingyu, I told you, Japanese vending machines are just different. You can’t just shake them the way you do back home,” Jeonghan sighed, crossing his arms.
While Jeonghan has always had his cheat codes in life, he scratched his head at the sight of Mingyu trying to trick his way into getting a can of soda under the sun’s scorching heat.
Mingyu, Jeonghan, Seungcheol, and Chan decided to go on a trip to Japan before their junior year of college started. After having worked more overtime shifts than one could possibly ever need, all of them were able to book their flights, eat decent meals, and see the most breathtaking views as they wandered around the city.
Being a four-person friend group, they would inevitably split into pairs — with Seungcheol and Chan bonding over partying until the morning, then sleeping in until noon, both Jeonghan and Mingyu were left with themselves, which happened quite often anyway. But Mingyu couldn’t help but think there was something about this particular summer. He’d spent summers with Jeonghan plenty of times before, having lived in the same town for nearly all of his life. But what do you do when your best friend’s in a stupid, cute little ponytail because he had grown his hair out too long, and now it was too hot to ever wear it down?
Regaining some composure from yet another onslaught of silly-thoughts-about-my-best-friend, Mingyu tried his hand at the vending machine once more. “I’m sure they’re all built the same, like with similar mechanisms and all, this one’s just extra sturdy but…” Mingyu cut himself off as he turned his head toward the boy next to him, his own lips forming the smile he clearly knew Jeonghan was trying to hold back.
“But what? Why are you smiling like that? Go on, keep on trying!” Jeonghan encouraged him, sarcasm seeping through his voice as he tried to keep his laughter at bay. “Or… we could just go to a 7/11.” Jeonghan quickly reached for Mingyu’s hand, lacing his fingers with Mingyu’s like it was a force of habit. Mingyu’s hand stayed loose — frozen, even — until he gave in. And that’s when he felt it.
Thump.
Surely, it must have just been how hot it was that day. Mingyu thought that anyone would have an increased heart rate under this much sun, and it must be another long walk to find a 7/11. That was precisely the reason why —
Oh. It was just by the corner, almost right next to where the vending machines were. And Jeonghan’s hand felt … nice.
Awoken by the smoke alarm — the smoke alarm — at 7:00 in the morning, housemates Mingyu, Seungcheol, and Chan sleepily found themselves in their shared kitchen, watching Jeonghan make what seems to be breakfast. It was the last week of summer before their senior year of college, and apparently, Jeonghan wanted to kick it off by cooking a meal for them.
“We pay all this rent and for what? For the smoke alarm to be going off when this is clearly normal for what I’m cooking?” Jeonghan said in exasperation. With a spatula in one hand, and, well, a fan in the other, the rest of the boys weren’t so sure if they could agree with Jeonghan. Not when they walked in on him vigorously fanning two pans at once.
“You burned it, Han, the smoke alarm detects that,” Seungcheol explained calmly, taking the materials away from the boy across from him. “We could just whip something up later, maybe at a more reasonable time.”
“No!” Jeonghan contested, looking at both Chan and Mingyu with the biggest doe eyes. “You’ll all go back to sleep, and then everyone will wake up at, what, 3 PM? Only for Cheol to leave the place immediately to get to yet another booty call! Chan will make some sort of protein shake again and rush to the gym, while I know Mingyu would definitely —”
“I mean,” Mingyu interrupted, “I could help cook now.”
Jeonghan took another look at the pans behind him, then turned his body to Mingyu’s tall, sleepy figure once again. Jeonghan meant to say that Mingyu would definitely help out, unlike the rest of the guys.
“Now that’s a friend right there!” Jeonghan announced, earning a scoff from Chan and Cheol. The two of them shuffled back into their rooms, leaving Mingyu and Jeonghan in the kitchen.
“It’s a bit unbelievable that you managed to burn bacon and pancakes, Jeonghan. These are pretty easy to make, you just --”
“We could just make an omelet,” Jeonghan said calmly, causing Mingyu to scratch the back of his neck.
“But there’s some batter left, Han,” Mingyu sighed, taking ahold of the bowl of pancake batter on the counter. He shook his head at Jeonghan with a confused expression, one Mingyu would usually make whenever Jeonghan opted for the easier plan, even if it didn’t make much sense at the moment.
“I know,” Jeonghan said, taking the bowl from Mingyu’s hands. “We can keep it in the fridge and use it up tomorrow. We could just make an omelet --”
“I can make the pancakes, it’s no big deal,” Mingyu smiled, taking the bowl from Jeonghan’s hold once again, even wrapping an arm around it, just so he could get on with the pancakes. Jeonghan heaved a sigh as he pried out the bowl from Mingyu’s arms, the smaller boy having a hard time against the grip Mingyu had on a bowl of pancake batter.
“Christ, Jeonghan, let’s just get started with these, please! It’s not like we can’t make it again–”
“Gyu, let go,” Jeonghan laughed, “I’m insisting on making omelets because, as I said earlier, Chan will rush to the gym by the time he wakes up. It’s easier to cook, we can wake him up in, like, fifteen minutes. A more reasonable time now. And I also think this is better protein. Compared to whatever he shakes in some bottle when he runs out the door every damn morning.” Jeonghan finally got to put the abused bowl of batter in the fridge, grabbing eggs and other ingredients afterward.
Thump.
Jeonghan, where does this tenderness come from? Mingyu can barely count the times Jeonghan was able to light up an entire place with words he’s sure Jeonghan could never understand the weight of. Sometimes, the words that slip out of Jeonghan’s mouth while washing some dishes or doing laundry get to be the same words imprinted in Mingyu’s mind.
In the most mundane moments, he would find the remarkable. In simplicity and routine, he would find Jeonghan with his heart on his sleeve, while Mingyu had his heart lodged in his throat. Jeonghan, where does this tenderness come from? And will you always have some for me?
/
“I feel like I was a bad person. Like, locking myself up in my room like that as a teenager just because my dad raised his voice at me? Pathetic.” Mingyu laughed, wiping the rest of the empty glasses.
“You weren’t a bad person, Gyu, you were fifteen. Those are entirely different things.” Jeonghan smiled in response, giving Mingyu a pat on the back. “I’ll go on my walk now! See ‘ya in a bit.”
/
“Cereal is so expensive now. If I could buy, like, ten of these boxes in one grocery trip, that’s when I know I’ve made it,” Jeonghan chuckled as he checked the price difference among the boxes of cereal in the aisle. Mingyu was in charge of pushing the cart, as always.
“Tell me about it. But I bet you’ll get to buy like .. twenty of these raw organic honey oats stuff. You’ll be that successful!” Mingyu cheered, turning back to give the other boy a playful punch in the arm.
“Hopefully you’d still be pushing the cart for me by then. That would be a lot of cereal.” Jeonghan responded, walking past Mingyu to look for, well, cheaper alternatives.
/
“Mingyu, d’you ever get that weird feeling in your chest when there are things you can say, but just … shouldn’t? Sometimes I feel like we’re too old to be holding back. There should be some other way to share at least a little bit of our feelings.” Jeonghan rambled, putting on his cap as he kept his keys in his pocket.
“Yeah… yeah. I get you. What’s this about?” Mingyu asked.
“Nothing in particular. Just a thought. I’ll get going now, this extra shift might just kill me.”
-
Three of the boys were in charge of the heavy lifting. And Jeonghan being Jeonghan, flashed a smug smile every now and then. Mingyu, Seungcheol, and Chan insisted that they didn’t need movers to help pack away their college apartment. Four – well, three – boys were enough. Jeonghan, on the other hand, kept reminding them that there were also four flights of stairs.
“If you could just help out,” Seungcheol huffed, glancing at Jeonghan, “That would be neat.”
Jeonghan nodded, taking what seemed to be the lightest box of them all.
“Man, I can’t believe we’re leaving this place,” Jeonghan uttered quietly.
“I know. You guys took me in like a fucking cult, you know that?” Chan laughed, looking at Jeonghan fondly as he followed Seungcheol down the stairs.
Jeonghan went back inside the almost empty apartment to check if Mingyu was done packing. The six-foot-two man houses a lot of sentimentality in him, he’d be surprised if Mingyu wasn’t putting every corner of the house into one of his boxes.
“Gyu, ready to go?” Jeonghan asked, knocking on the door to Mingyu’s room. He took a peek and found Mingyu lying flat in his bed, all of his boxes sealed and ready.
“Yeah, just… Just give me a minute. I realized something and I think I’m spiraling,” Mingyu grinned, looking up at the ceiling.
“What is it? Is it the post-grad anxiety?” Jeonghan asked with genuine curiosity.
“No, but I think that’s scheduled to happen next week,” Mingyu snickers. “I just realized this is summer is not a summer-before-anything type of summer. It’s literally just a hotter time of the year. Which is crazy to me, because all of our summers have always been something before whatever year of college.” Mingyu explained.
Jeonghan looked at him with the most caring eyes, clearly endeared with how Mingyu was already nostalgic about a phase of life that had just ended a week ago, when they all graduated.
“I get you. There’s not much to this one, but that’s also something,” Jeonghan responded as he looked around the room, earning him an even more attentive Mingyu, sitting up to look at the boy across his bed. “Like, this is finally a summer that doesn’t have to be anything. There’s just more sun and sweat and sunscreen, which isn’t all that bad too, you know.”
“Oh, good point. But aren’t you just a bit sad about it?”
“Of course I’m a bit sad about it. But then it’ll just get too cold eventually, and I’d always remember this as the summer when it was warm and that I’d want it back. If it gets too hot, then I’d think of the winter. It all goes on and on from here. Which I think is pretty nice. We just slow down as seasons change.” Jeonghan elaborated, taking a look at Mingyu who was in awe of his simple, yet profound thoughts. “I’ll head downstairs now. I’ll ask Chan to help you with your boxes.”
Thump.
It just goes on and on from here, but I’ll have this summer at my own pace. Hopefully, you could stay a bit longer, too.
-
In all those moments, Jeonghan always knew when to walk away. When to move forward, when to leave his words. Some were found in the shared kitchen in their college apartment five years ago. There were others nestled by the shelves in the grocery stores. A lot were just hanging by their doorstep, wishing Jeonghan would take them with him for once. His hands have always been empty anyway, what harm would a little love do?
“You knew, Han. Quit the act, you can’t do this to me. Help me out here,” Mingyu was practically begging. He hated it.
For the first time in his life, he demanded noise from Jeonghan. After loving and knowing him in the quiet, how does he prove to him that he’d love him in the noise, too? That he’d take in whatever Jeonghan says like skin on wet cement — there will be marks and they might last forever. And that he’d see it and hear it so often that it becomes second nature. But only if he’d speak.
“Mingyu, I don’t know what’s there to hear from me. I don’t think it would matter if there was anything that came to mind.”
“They will matter to me now as much as they would have mattered to me then. You knew I loved you. I’m sure.” Mingyu insists, trying his best to calm himself down.
“I didn’t know what to do with that love. I still don’t.”
“You accept it,” Mingyu says. “You accept it, and see if you love me back. I was just hoping you’d have an answer by now.”
“I loved you in the ways I knew how,” Jeonghan takes a breath in. “But probably not in the ways you wanted.”
Mingyu looks at him bewilderedly as he pieces Jeonghan’s words together. It’s true, Jeonghan’s love for him was a constant work in progress. Always rebuilt and destroyed and rebuilt again until another version of love existed. Jeonghan thought he never got it right. It’s been three summers after all.
“How would you know? You never asked,” Mingyu states. Jeonghan places a hand on his arm in an attempt to talk Mingyu through this.
“Even if I asked, do you think I’d ever get it right?”
Mingyu takes the hand placed on his arm, lacing it with his. Jeonghan, stunned by this display of affection, looks away from Mingyu. He almost misses the way Mingyu’s face softens at his avoidance. What Mingyu wants to say is that Jeonghan should stop fixating on finding the best way to love him because they’ll figure it out together anyway. He wants to say that Jeonghan should be brave about his feelings for once. He wants to question why Jeonghan never heard the way his heart thumped every time they held hands, including right now.
Instead, Mingyu kisses him. After three quick heartbeats and three quick summers. In Mingyu’s lips, there is patience; in Jeonghan’s, there is relief.
“You already got it right the first time.”
yay hi if you made it to the end! thank u for reading <3

[Review] Panzer Dragoon Saga (Sat)
Tumblr media
Maybe they should have stuck to rail shooters...
My perfectly sensible journey through the Panzer Dragoon series: Mini, then Orta and the OG, then Gamera 2000, Remake, Zwei, and now finally this, the one that's not actually a rail shooter. Apparently development on Zwei and Saga both started at the same time but being an RPG spread over four Saturn discs, Saga took a few more years to cook. It's also one of the more pricey games in existence due to its release right when the Saturn was imploding and overall poor sales; its reputation as a rare and expensive title comes with a vaunted hidden gem status, but the reality... well...
Tumblr media
Saga (or as it's known in Japan, Azel: Panzer Dragoon RPG) certainly is experimental. Like the monsters that populate the world's wastelands and forests, it's a mutant creation, a strange hybrid of Panzer Dragoon mechanics in an RPG framework. Or if not mechanics then surface trappings: four-quadrant perspectives in battle, aiming a lock-on cursor, three-dimensional dragon flight... but the gameplay experience is nothing at all like the arcadey rail-shooters that constitute the rest of the series. Saga is very much a departure, and I don't think that works in its favour.
The world of Panzer Dragoon was always so evocative, the unknowable but hostile technology of a lost era (with its cool techno-organic designs) littering a devastated landscape, folk struggling to eke out an existence while empires battle overhead. Digging into the setting seems like something the series was crying out for... yet somehow, by nailing things down in Saga you do end up losing some of the mystique. Sure I understood the lore more clearly from in-game texts and characters pontificating, but is that what the series really needed? Maybe they explain too much, and since this is a Japanese RPG you of course end up travelling through space and time to kill God. Ho hum.
Tumblr media
Panzer Dragoon has always had cinematic moments, but again Saga goes to excess by having all dialogue be fully voiced, with mocapped cutscenes and long conversations. (The VA is all in Japanese as well, even in the international releases, with the series' trademark made-up language only used for the intro and outro cutscenes; another choice that removes a layer of mystery from this world.) It really slows the pace down, which is a theme for the on-foot sections, battle animations, and the speed of the overall plot.
After the inciting incident where Edge the bland protag-kun meets the dragon who befriends him for no reason, almost nothing happens to advance the plot for two whole discs. Although Edge is a defined character with a voice and backstory, he was designed to take a backseat to the eponymous Azel in story terms. Congratulations Team Andromeda, you created another boring RPG protagonist. Azel herself has potential to be interesting and has her moments but ends up underdeveloped, as often a plot device as a character, and literally not present for maybe half the game.
Tumblr media
Although four discs sounds big, each one has just a handful of areas, and there's only two and a half towns in the game world. As an RPG and a story the scale is relatively small which works just fine for Panzer Dragoon, and the inhabited areas you do explore are dense and lively, with a day/night cycle and lots of interaction with the blocky Saturn people who live there. Controlling Edge in these areas is kind of clunky and slow, with the lock-on cursor being an odd way to interact and observe the world, but it results in lots of flavour text for background details even if a lot of it feels like filler.
When on the dragon, the world is understandably scaled back. An overworld map takes you between discrete zones, which are usually big open spaces broken up by tight corridors, or dungeons absolutely riddled with repetitive hallways and lifts. The dragon movement mechanics seem impressive but feel ultimately shallow and limiting, the technology and dev realities clearly not fulfilling the ambitions of open-roaming dragon-flying exploration. There's only a couple of occasions like the assault on a flying warship or the stealthy infiltration of an Imperial facility where these sections actually approach compelling gameplay; most of the time it's just busywork flying around and locking onto things to interact with them.
Tumblr media
Finally, the battles. There are random and set encounters in the flying zones which take you to the battle screen, your dragon occupying one of four cardinal positions around the enemy. You or they can choose to move, which affects the ATB gauges that determine your actions but more importantly your relative positions put you in safe or danger zones from enemy attacks, and likewise enemy weak points are only revealed in certain spots. This positioning mechanic gives battles a unique feel, and turns most encounters into puzzle battles as you figure out how to respond to certain enemies. Your actions include the traditional PD single-target gun shot, a multi-target homing laser, and Zwei's Berserk technique is now the magic spell system. It's an amusing way to convert PD conventions into RPG ideas but it works well enough in theory. The problem is it felt to me that battles eventually became just slow and punishing until you learn the trick to them, at which point they're easy and time-wasting.
Tumblr media
Saga is full of little secrets and such, the sort that compelled me to follow a guide so I didn't miss any obscure sidequest or missable treasures. One interaction requires you to talk to an NPC twenty-six times for crying out loud! Many of these rewards are relatively inconsequential but if you want your dragon to reach its final form there's a few hoops to jump through. By the end I found my inventory full of unused items and unspent money, so maybe I was too thorough. I also followed the guide's advice to seek out rare enemies to grind levels on, which may have reduced the difficulty but I'd rather that than the tedium of getting destroyed in late-game battles and having to replay sections. Saga is old-school in that way but it is from 1998 after all.
Tumblr media
Panzer Dragoon Saga is such an unconventional RPG that I can't help but admire it, but at the same time it's clearly held back by the technology of the time and development pressures that result in it feeling messy and clumsy. There's no denying it has atmosphere and ideas and ambition, but it just didn't translate to the transcendent masterpiece that it's been built up as for me. Moreover, as a Panzer Dragoon game, it has almost nothing of what I really want out of a series that is otherwise stylish and inventive rail shooters. If telling a deeper story is what you want, then Orta was much more successful at it just by having a little more cutscene between levels! Even the rich world and visual design of the series is compromised rather than enhanced here as a result of the combination of gameplay styles/scales. I'm glad I played it but it's firmly the black sheep of the series as far as I'm concerned.

I'm on my way back to Japan, and I just got an email that my flight from Tokyo to where I live is canceled... They didn't offer any info about rebooking or anything. Just one line, it's canceled because of runway issues (it's because of that horrible crash). The sparsest message from an actual company I've ever seen.
I called and called the number they provided but it was like the phones were just shut off. Couldn't even reach please hold music.
Hopefully it won't be too big of an issue. It's not the international flight (but I'm worried once we reach Haneda we'll be stuck circling for hours waiting for a runway... after almost 15 hours on the plane already...). Hopefully rebooking domestic will be simple, but otoh lots of people will probably be trying as well and we'll all be exhausted and shit... I really don't know how it's gonna go down.
The other option is the bullet train, which may be the same situation, crowded as hell with people whose flights were canceled. Or the bus but there's no way I'm taking a long bus ride after 15 hours on the plane + 3 hours in the airport + 2 hours getting to the airport...
If it comes to that fingers crossed I can just get a hotel for the night. Maybe I'll stay in Tokyo for the day, depending on jet lag. I did have somewhere I wanted to go in Tokyo, although I don't know how doable it'll be on short notice. But gotta try to make the best of things.
The crash happened days ago, I wish they would have informed us of cancellations earlier. I don't have any time in the morning to call again. Stuff happens, flights are delayed or even canceled, but what bothers me is the brusque way they communicated it. Just "Your flight is canceled" at 8 pm the night before I have to leave. Not even 24 hours notice. If they said there would be help rebooking, or if the damn phone numbers worked, I'd understand. But they canceled it and provided no way to get help. Even using the online login isn't working - it just refuses my reservation code.
why do relaxing vacations always end in stressss x'D

Consider The Perfect Ways To Establish A Money Transfer To Vietnam
And since we are experiencing the museum theme, we'll throw the particular FITO Museum for good measure. I was talking by using a young 20 year old man that's waiting on us at the casio cash register in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He informed me he worked 18 hours a day, 28 days per month, and he earned US$40 per month (US$1.40 per day). Although these people get by, living over these conditions is normally extremely difficult, and turning to crime is an attractive and almost irresistible sensible choice. Just a small amount of pick-pocketing and stealing could provide a lot more for their families. A scenic drive past over high passes takes you to the previous imperial capital of Skin tone. Here you'll sample fine cuisine that matches the city's royal imperial status. The delicious flavors of Hue continue to entice even until today, and far more chance to sample this famous cuisine within the premises 1 of the town's unique garden features.

Quite the if something! Sometimes I read stories on vast web about religious persecution in Vietnam, but what I see here in Ho Chi Minh City is a very religious people, many more religious in general than Americans. People here will nearly all say they are generally Catholic or Buddhist; it's hard to discover anyone who would call themselves Agnostic or Atheistic- I never met one . Personally, I like to assume 'an eye for an eye' is not about a barbaric tit for tat, but about karmic retribution - retribution tabulated by whichever entity one feels is in charge of the universe, the name and form of this entity being totally immaterial. Granted, number of obvious conflicts inside the Vietnamese government and some religious leaders who have a go at politics. Japan 2024 (Winter-Spring Season)
Pre-travel.
My initial thought prior to joining my friends to this Japan trip is that I DON'T HAVE MONEY! I always assumed it takes 6-digit Php budget to enjoy Japan, but apparently not necessarily!! And you know what, we only live once. When will be the next time I will get this chance to have a trip with my friends.. in Japan.. in our age.. ?
Flights were booked. Accommodations were booked. 3 months to go before our trip. Visa applications were expected to be filed. AND I AM STILL IN VIETNAM.
2 months left. 1 month left. 2 weeks left. STILL IN VN. I was already in a dilemma to cancel my trip, because of "all the expenses paid" by the company during my business trip. But thank God for my very understanding leads and managers. I asked to leave VN and to have vacation and it was approved.. just like that. No questions asked. Damn. See you Japan huhu (well, assuming I get my visa approved).
I attempted to apply for tourist visa in VN but it was requiring official documents like work permits, residence papers, etc. which I don't physically have that time! I had to process it in PH and not really sure if I can get approved before my flight 😂🥲
I returned to the PH just ONE WEEK before my flight. Had my visa processed. All my friends are so anxious for me, that was such a risky move HAHAHAHAHHHA
A day before my flight, I finally received my passport with single-entry Japan visa. UHI Travel Agency 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Super convenient service.

During travel. <detailed stories and pics to follow>
DAY 1. Travel to Japan
Flight seatmate Sakudo-san. Had a 5-hour long chit chat with my random seatmate during our flight haha! He's a Japanese teacher based here in PH and will also be visiting Japan for 5-day vacation (just like us). He gave me tips and guides how to navigate Japan to reach our accommodation and also gave us heating pads (for free!!)
Lost in Nippori Station. We rode the skyliner train to Ueno Station and I was assigned to a different car and seat from my friends because I booked separately. I then mistakenly alighted one station in advance our supposed destination lol. First reason: it's because almost all passengers were already getting out. And second reason: my friends messaged me in FB for me to wake up already SO I THOUGHT I WAS SUPPOSED TO GO OUT ALREADY. Fortunately, I had roaming data in my PH sim card was able to reach the Ueno station all alone (so proud of myself lol).
Tumblr media
First night @ Kosuge. We bought food, gloves, water, snacks to the nearest 7/11 and ate our dinner in our booked Airbnb.
DAY 2. DisneySea
Blanket statement as an adrenaline-junkie person: All of the rides need to be a little bit more extreme (!!!) Every end of the ride, I always say "that was it????"
⭐ Journey to the Center of the Earth. There is this one or a split second part of the ride where we saw the sunset sky. AND WOW. IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. Maybe the priority pass to ride this one also contributed why this is my favorite ride of all in Disneysea haha!
Tower of Terror. We lined up for 3 hours for this ride. It was so cold and tiring. We were also already hungry since it was lunch time and we only ate popcorn throughout that 3-hour wait. In fairness, the ride itself was actually fun! (Pero bitin talaga eh!)
Big Band Beat. I am special mentioning this show because I had the best nap inside the theater HAHAHAHA. The seat was comfortable, the temperature is perfect. Loved it!
Fireworks / Night Show. It was very cool to see the night show
Gondolas. Nothing special, just a boat ride around the park.
Indiana Jones. You know what, I already forgot what happened here hahahaha. It was a roller coaster ride. Not very memorable though.
Tumblr media
DAY 3. Shinjuku Park - Shibuya - Nabezo
The Four Trees. #1 Very pretty sakura tree near our accommodation haha. #2 White flower one. #3 Bright pink flower one. #4 Light pink flower one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fu-unji Tsukemen (food). The food was definitely tasty, but little too salty for me (maybe it's not supposed to be a soup anyway hahaha). The noodles was also very good but it gets cold very very fast.
Met Yna (one of my closest friends back in college) and Kim (thesis mate-ish during undergrad) for our dinner in Nabezo. It was so awesome to hear them speak Japanese to locals in the resto and the electronic store. They are so Japanese (culturally and physically) now but their personality and voice are still the same as 5 years ago haha.
Tumblr media
Apple watch budol. Bought an apple watch.. same day idea -> final decision -> actually buying it. BUDOL TALAGA GUYS. Kinakain na ako ng apple ecosystem omg.
DAY 4. Senjoji Temple - WB Studios
Met Vlesie (previous roomie from 4th year to board exam days!!).
Asakusa Snacks. Lots of mochi / rice desserts, some drinks, some fried food. Only memorable one of me is the strawberry x green tea drink we lastly bought, it was so yummy!
Tumblr media
Harry Potter. Our team organizers (Ten and Mikko) was very anxious going here because we are already 30-min late to our booked tickets. But they were not very strict that day at all! There were lots of interactive booths and lots of place to take pictures.
Tumblr media
Missed the last trip back to Kosuge HAHAHAHHAHA CORE MEMORY. We rode a train GOING AWAY from our destination and no one bothered to notice until we almost reached the end of the line 🥲😂
DAY 5. Mt. Fuji (Kawaguchiko - Lawson - Honcho St - Pagoda - Oshino)
Mt. Fuji tour (for photographers lol)
Tumblr media
Ichiran Ramen (food). Good warm noodles, finally haha. Loved this ramen as well.
DAY 6. Ueno Shopping & travel back to PH
Luggage storage. It was so hard to find lockers and baggage service during lunch time in Ueno station. We opted to check small stores outside the station if they have luggage storage. For future reference: https://cloak.ecbo.io/en
Tumblr media
Gyukatsu (food). The waiting time is so long, but food is really good!
Matsumoto Kyoshi. Bought skincare, noodles, chocolates.
Don Quijote. Bought little bit more snacks, prices are little bit higher than Matsumoto.
Skyliner to NRT Airport. This is the most hassle part of the trip!! We were brisk walking from the shops back the luggage storage store to the skyliner station WITH ALL OUR BAGS AND SHOPPING. Got the station just a minute before our scheduled departure. Then, when we got the airport. We were chillin' on the shops and restaurant upstairs, forgetting that we still didn't go through immigration and baggage checks yet! Our boarding gate is even located AT THE END OF THE AIRPORT! It was a very tiring day lol.
Post travel.
When I came back to PH, I finally appreciated how well-suited my body is for tropical weather conditions. My colds and sore throat were SUDDENLY gone. I can finally sleep better and wake up more more energized. Things we take for granted living in PH lol
Clothing choice MATTERS a lot!!! I take for granted preparing very well for the weather in Tokyo despite numerous advice from our friend living in Japan, and I regret it very much. I may have enjoyed the trip little bit better if I was dressed properly for this winter-ish weather. 😔
I want to go back to Japan, again. With more chill itinerary, and more culture immersion. Can't wait to go back there again.

How did I get here?
I have always loved to travel. I started travelling with my mother when I was 15 and I instantly caught the travel bug. From that moment on I made it my life mission to travel.
That is until I unexpectedly fell pregnant. I was single during my pregnancy, and I still am 10 years later. Being a single mother did not stop the travel itch. My son was lucky enough to get a passport at 3 months of age. He’s currently waiting on his 3rd passport (I’m still only on my 3rd passport lol).
At the tender age of 8 months, he boarded his first international flight to Europe via Singapore and Dubai. This baby had been to 10 countries before he was even 10 months old. He’s even been lucky enough to experience cuddles with the lovely flight attendants in first class on Emirates Airlines, while I had to slum it down in economy.
After that whirl wind adventure, I tried to bunker down and study, so we didn’t do any international travel for four whole years! I was just about to burst at the seams, so I booked a flight to Tokyo. Now 5, my son went to Disneyland and actually remembered it this time ha-ha (I’d taken him to Disneyland Paris at 8 months). We had so much fun exploring Tokyo and visiting the theme parks such as Disney Sea and Sanrio Puroland. During this trip he had shown me that he is a natural traveller, it’s in his DNA.
We loved that little adventure so much we decided to go back the following year. This time we went to Osaka to check out Universal Studios Japan and we loved it! I had purchased the Royal Studio Pass which was rather expensive for just one day but let me tell you, it was worth it. We didn’t have to line up for anything, we just walked straight to the front. We felt like, well, royalty! We also visited Kyoto where we participated in a traditional tea ceremony, we even dressed in kimonos and walked through the city in the scorching heat. When they dress you in these outfits you get wrapped up in about 7 layers. One if which is a towel. It wasn’t until we started walking around outside that we realised what the towel layer was for…. sweat!
We were going to make this an annual activity. Then COVID-19 made an appearance and travel was off the table for everyone. But fast forward to now, November 2022, inflation has skyrocketed to the highest it’s been in my lifetime. Rents are practically unaffordable and that’s when you can even secure a place. I’ve been looking for a rental property now for about 5 months. In just over 6 weeks’ time I face the possibility of being homeless, with my 9-year-old son. I have a truly wonderful job with the best boss and co-workers in the world but with more people that rental properties my immediate future isn’t look too great. The idea of sleeping in my car in an Australian summer doesn’t appeal to me.
This predicament has had me thinking outside the box and my research has shown that if I can somehow manage to land a full remote job, (which honestly seems more achievable that landing secure affordable housing in my city), we could travel the world AND SAVE MONEY! It is cheaper to travel the world than it is to stay in one place. I could take a pay cut of almost 50% and still live a more enjoyable life by changing our view every few weeks. I would take on the challenge of home school my son while I work remotely but without the mundane daily routine, I think the stress would be more manageable.
Perhaps I am losing my mind, but if I am, we may as well make the most of it before I get committed.

instead of you [part seventeen]

series masterlist
The flight from Naples to Tokyo took fourteen hours, not including the two and a half hour layover in Istanbul, meaning you had sixteen and a half hours to sit in awkward tension-filled silence next to Sam. The tension was one-sided, of course, but it was still agonizing to endure.
You had been able to push your anxiety aside during your last day in Italy because it had been so busy. There had been a power outage in the middle of the night, causing everyone to oversleep and miss the ferry for one of your tours that morning. It had been a scramble to get back on schedule and do as much as possible with the time you had left. The boys had been hungover and their parents were tired of wrangling them. You had dozens of photos on your camera roll of Sam and Harry bickering when they were supposed to be posing for a nice picture, and even more of Tom flicking them off.
But now you were stuck alone with your thoughts, unable to use distraction as a means to escape. You tried reading your book, but found yourself unable to concentrate on the words on the page. After staring at the same paragraph for over fifteen minutes Sam noticed and asked if you were okay and you finally decided to call it quits.
You almost wished the Hollands hadn’t scheduled in a day and a half to adjust to the time zone change. You’d rather exhaust yourself with the nonstop tourist bullshit than have to cope with the reality that you had gotten off to thoughts about your best friend’s brother. Not to mention living with the secret that the same best friend’s brother had kissed you not long before that.
If Sam noticed anything was off, he didn’t mention it. He probably chalked it up to lack of sleep, or perhaps was too tired himself to care.
“Which one of us do you think will be randomly selected in customs today?” Harry asked, stretching his arms above his head.
You were standing in the aisle waiting to deplane, placing bets on who’d get searched by border agents this time. Somehow each time you traveled to a new place one of you was always chosen to get pat down or have your carry-on searched. Tom had yet to be the lucky winner, and you suspected it had something to do with his celebrity status.
“Y/n,” Tom answered easily. “She has the U.S. passport.”
You rolled your eyes. “Like England has a squeaky clean record with Japan.”
“At least we didn’t-”
“Bro, you can’t say the b word on a plane,” Harry interrupted.
“Even when the plane’s on the ground?”
Sam shrugged. “Better safe than sorry.”
“Whatever,” Tom continued. “It’s definitely going to be y/n.”
-
“Would you mind stepping out of line, ma’am?”
You sighed, not even bothering to look back at the boys. You already knew they were grinning like idiots and you didn’t want to give them the satisfaction. The agent ushered you to the side behind a glass partition, but not before you heard another agent repeat the same question to one of the Hollands. You smiled to yourself, happy not to be the only one singled out.
Behind the privacy screen another agent greeted you and asked you to take your sweatshirt off, explaining that it was too baggy and needed to be checked. You saw other people in baggy clothes who weren’t getting pulled out of line, but assumed they didn’t have the red flag of “U.S. Citizen” printed on their identification that would be cause for any additional suspicion. You complied with the agent’s request and pulled your sweatshirt off for them to further inspect.
You were glad you’d worn a sports bra underneath your sweatshirt because you usually didn’t wear anything underneath them. As soon as your head was out of the pullover you immediately met by Tom’s polite smile.
He averted his eyes as soon as he saw you, pausing his conversation with the official to mumble a quiet ‘sorry’ to you as he was shown to the spot next to yours.
You zoned out as they spoke, only aware of him again when he started unbuckling his belt. You caught his eye this time.
“Forgot to take it off,” he explained.
“Sweatshirt’s too loose.”
You both faced forward as the customs officials proceeded through the motions. You were stuck standing there half-naked with your arms wrapped around your chest self-consciously while an agent pat Tom’s legs down.
“Dad said we can meet them at baggage claim,” Tom said after a few moments of silence between the two of you. “They went on without us.”
“Okay,” you squeaked back in response.
You knew it wouldn’t take long, but it still made you nervous to be alone with Tom. Sam was like a safety blanket, or a buffer between you and him and without him you were afraid it would be painfully awkward.
The woman handed you your sweatshirt back and you had to wait for Tom outside of the screening area. He joined you a minute or so later.
“They find any dirt on you?” you asked from where you were leaning against the wall across from the exit.
“Nope, you?”
“Yeah, actually I’m in custody right now. Can’t believe you missed the handcuffs.”
“Man, what’d they get you for?”
“Identity theft,” you sighed.
“Damn, that’s a bummer,” Tom replied, false sympathy rolling off his words.
He cocked his head in the direction the rest of his family had went, indicating that you should get going, and held out a hand to pull you upright. You took it hesitantly and let him help you.
“I was actually hoping you could bail me out?” you went on, continuing with the bit.
Tom made a sound through his teeth and grimaced. “I’m kinda broke right now.”
“Aren’t you an actor?”
“Sorry, but I think you have me confused with someone else.”
“No, you’re definitely the guy!”
“You’re thinking of Tom Hiddleston,” he insisted.
“Remember that IOU you gave me? I’m cashing it in now.”
“That’s not how it works!”
You laughed. “No, but if I ever actually get arrested I’m using my IOU to get you to bail me out of jail.”
“I don’t think that a kiss and getting bailed out of prison are comparable, but I didn’t put any conditions on that postcard, did I?”
“Nope!” You smiled happily.
“Well that’s on me, so...”
You took the shuttle together to the other side of the airport where the rest of the Hollands were waiting and finally found them with all of your luggage at the furthest carousel from the entrance.
“It’s about time!” Harry yelled over the crowd as soon as he saw you.
Sam grinned when he saw you and you couldn’t help but grin back. He wrapped an arm around you instinctively and you relaxed into his shoulder, relieved to be with him again. It hadn’t dawned on you until that moment just how attached you were, but you didn’t have time to dwell on it because the other Hollands were all looking at you expectantly.
“Did everything go okay?” Nikki asked.
Tom nodded. “They made y/n strip, but it was uneventful otherwise.”
You pursed your lips, cheeks burning. “It was just my sweatshirt!” you hissed to Sam.
“Yeah, but you never wear anything under your sweatshirts!” Sam hissed back.
“I had a bra on this time.”
“Oh, so it was just another night at the bar for you?” You wrestled yourself out of Sam’s grasp at that and glared. “Am I wrong?”
Sam’s dad cut in before you could respond. He had a habit of calling “family meetings” in the middle of public spaces to finalize plans and get everybody on the same page, which was always an experience.
“Alright, gather up, gang!” he said, beckoning you all closer. “So we’ll be staying at... this hotel,” he explained and turned his phone around to show you the name of it. “And the thing is, we have two rooms to share between the six of us. One for your mother and I, and another for you four.”
“What?” Sam asked. “You’re going to make us stay with them?”
“I thought we were getting three rooms like every other time,” Tom chimed in.
“We were meant to, but I made a mistake when booking it,” Dom clarified.
“How?”
“The entire website was in Japanese, Sam. I don’t know Japanese!”
“Dad, Google has a translate webpage option!” Harry groaned.
“Well no one told me that while I was booking this entire trip by myself!”
You traded a look with Tom, who looked just as panicked as you felt. But it would only be for a week. You would find a way to manage. You didn’t really have any other option.
“I’m sure it’ll be fun,” Sam tried, forcing a smile.
“That’s the spirit!” Dom cheered. “We’ll make it work.”
sorry she’s short this week :( but lmk what you think i always appreciate feedback!!

All Bark and No Bite
Tumblr media
Pairing: Tsukishima Kei x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Noncon, lowkey incel Tsukki, yandere ( i think?), degrading language, knifeplay, misogyny, slut shaming, brat taming, slapping, belting, mentions of blood, choking, emotional manipulation, belly bulge, overstimulation, painful orgasm, unprotected sex, general meanness, time skip spoilers?
Genre: Smut (gross)
Author’s Note: This is mean, nasty Tsukki brain rot and I had no reason at all to write this. He’s a fucking beast in this and I apologize for nothing. Hopefully someone likes it tho. As always, thank you to my betas @sempiternal-amour, @kidwine, @india-katsuki!!
Word count: 3.9k
Summary: Tsukishima teaches his roommate’s bratty girlfriend a lesson or two.
Please heed the warnings, it’s dark in here ;;;;
Tumblr media
Tsukishima has hated you since he laid eyes on you.
You personify everything that he despises, from your big bratty mouth, to your typical bitchy attitude, to your ridiculous wardrobe which must only consist of tiny crop tops and slutty skirts that barely cover your ass.
Most of all, he hates that you never fail to give him a raging hard on anytime you’re around. But it’s really not his fault, not with the way you prance around his and Kuroo’s apartment in your tiny, indecent outfits and surely not with the sinful moans he hears you make through the thin wall between their bedrooms. He knows you know exactly what you’re doing.
You can’t not know.
He knows you’re trying to tempt him, test his resolve. He doesn’t miss the way you make sure he’s looking when you bend over in your too-short skirt, panties conveniently missing. You’re always mouthing off to him, trying to goad him into an argument, knowing Kuroo will always come to your defense.
You’re trying to push him until the thin, fraying thread that is his self-control snaps.
One day, it does.
You’re standing in the kitchen, boiling some pasta for dinner when Tsukishima unlocks the front door. Great, he thinks, he’s had a long day full of stressful negotiations for the museum and now you’re here to sour his mood even more. Usually Kuroo is there to smooth out any tension that develops between you, quickly defusing any arguments before you start full-on screaming at each other, so your conflicts have never risen above that threshold.
But Kuroo’s not here, as Tsukishima learns from you in your annoyingly snarky tone, “Tetsu won’t be home until late tonight. He told me to tell you he said to fuck off if you bothered me.” You’re smirking, feeling superior in the belief that you’re safe from his wrath because you’re his roommate’s girlfriend and he wants so badly to wipe that smirk off your face, preferably by belting you until you bleed.
“I didn’t ask, brat,” Tsukishima sneers, narrowing his eyes at you as he passes on the way to his room. He’s trying to keep a calm, collected persona, but you just get under his skin in a way that no one else does. Usually he lets those types of comments go but he’s just so tired, so tense, and so fed up with your attitude that his bubbling anger threatens to break the surface and boil over. He breathes in, breathes out, breathes in, breathes out. He can tolerate your unruly behavior for at least a few hours until Kuroo gets home, he tells himself. He truthfully doesn’t care about his relationship with his roommate, Kuroo just offered him a cheap place to stay after high school graduation, but he knows that if he did hurt you he’d have to find a new place to live and that would just be a headache that he doesn’t want to deal with.
After changing out of his work clothes and putting on sweatpants and a t-shirt, he makes his way down the hall and back into the kitchen to make himself dinner because he sure as hell isn’t going to eat anything you make. Girls his age never know how to cook, only knowledgeable in spreading their legs for any alpha male that looks their way.
Much to Tsukishima’s irritation, you’re still in the kitchen piddling around like the clueless bitch you are, incapable of boiling a simple box of pasta without the water boiling over and making a mess of the stove. He lets out a groan of exasperation, walking over to where you’re standing in front of the stove to remove the pot from the burner.
“Can’t do anything without fucking it up can you, brat?” He growls at you, purposefully clipping your shoulder as he moves behind you to throw the ruined pasta away. He knows he’s baiting you into an argument and that you’ll take the bait, but the knowledge that Kuroo won’t be home for a while makes him want to see how far you’re willing to go without your boyfriend present.
“You’re such a fucking asshole, you know that? No wonder no one likes you,” you huff, leaning against the stove and crossing your arms. The action squishes your breasts together and he can see the faint outline of your areolas through the thin material of your shirt.
“As if I care about what a useless brat like you has to say about me.” Tsukishima scoffs and he can see your anger in the way your shoulders shake.
“You barely fucking know me, who are you to call me useless?” You push yourself off the stove and take a step closer to him.
“I know enough about you to know that you’re useless.” He can feel his resolve fraying more and more as each word leaves your bitchy mouth.
“Oh, I’m useless? Didn’t that little ginger boy you played volleyball with in high school get on the Japan National team while you work at a museum?” You’re smiling triumphantly as if you’ve won this battle of wits, but Tsukishima can rattle off insults in his sleep and this isn’t his first time putting someone in their place.
“You know Kuroo only keeps you around because you’re pretty and you’re a warm, wet hole waiting for him to fuck when he gets home.” He crosses his own arms this time, a satisfied grin spreading across his face.
“So you think I’m pretty?” You’re snickering at the reddening of his face and the twisting of his delicate features and it fills him with so much rage that the thread...
Just.
Snaps.
He’s on you so fast that you can’t even blink before he has you pinned to the countertop, one hand squeezing the back of your neck and the other twisting your arm painfully behind you. Tsukishima relishes in the little yelp of pain you make when he twists your arm back farther.
“Absolutely not. Your slutty cunt is the only good thing about you and even that has probably been stretched out by all the cocks you’ve taken.” His voice is calm, collected, as if he were discussing the weather and not verbally abusing you while he has you pressed into the countertop. Your fight-or-flight response triggers and you start kicking and screaming, thrashing against him in a blind attempt to wrench yourself from his grasp.
“What the fuck are you doing? Fucking asshole get off of me and let me go!” The hand that’s holding your arm quickly grabs your other wrist while his other hand wrenches you upward by a painful grip in your hair. Your back is now pressed against Tsukishima’s chest, wrists restrained by his long fingers and head bent back so your eyes meet his. They’re cold, unfeeling and send a sickly chill down your spine that makes you still immediately.
“If you know what’s good for you, you’ll be quiet and calm down. It’ll be easier that way for the both of us.” The monotony of his voice is even more sinister in this moment where you’re completely at his mercy. Your eyes widen in horror as you feel his cock pressing against your ass and it causes you to start fighting him again, no coordination in the way your muscles move in your frantic movements. You’re screaming, just hoping somebody will hear you, somebody will come save you.
Your hopes are meaningless when you’re so small, so vulnerable. Tsukishima knows no one will come for you and he knows you’ll never be able to overpower him. You’re completely at his mercy, whether you choose to comply or not.
“You know, even if nobody comes for me now, Tetsu will be home later and I’ll tell him everything you did to me.” You’re confident that the threat of your boyfriend will deter him from taking his abuse any further. You struggle in his grip to hold yourself a little higher so you’re more eye level with him. “He’ll kill you if he sees one hair out of place and I tell him it was you.”
How cute, you still think you have control of this situation.
“I’ll just deny whatever you claim that I did or didn’t do. Who do you think Kuroo will believe? Me, his longtime friend from high school, or you, his whore girlfriend he met a year ago?” A smug smile tugs at his lips, knowing he’s planted a seed of doubt in your mind that Kuroo will believe you.
“Tetsu loves me! He’ll believe whatever I tell him.” He can’t tell if you’re trying to convince him or yourself.
“You really think Kuroo loves anything more than your tits,” he uses one hand to grope at your breasts, “or your ass,” the other hand sliding down to fondle at the supple flesh. The feeling of his long, thin fingers on your body causes you to start fighting again, but this time your arms are free so you start flailing them blindly, hoping to stun him long enough that’ll give you enough time to get away. You manage to twist around and smack him in the face and almost wriggle out of his grip but as luck would have it, you don’t get away. You won’t get away.
Rage takes over his features, his muscles tensing and flexing. Tsukishima quickly raises his hand and brings it down across the left side of your face. It takes a moment for you to realize that he slapped you, confusion slowly morphing into an expression of sheer, unadulterated fear. The horror that dawns on you, overtaking your features, warms his heart.
“If you’re not going to behave and continue to be a brat, I’m going to treat you how a brat should be treated.” He drags you, kicking and screaming, down the hall to his bedroom. He wishes you’d shut the fuck up, but that’ll be taken care of soon enough.
Kuroo thinks you’re his sweet, innocent girlfriend but Tsukishima knows better, knows what you really are. You’re a mouthy, bratty whore who needs to learn her place and he’ll be the one to remind you what you are.
Once you’re in his bedroom he turns and uses one hand to lock the door. How pathetically weak you are that he only needs one hand to restrain you. He digs around with one arm underneath his bed, slowly getting frustrated before he finally grabs what he’s looking for.
Handcuffs.
He grabs your arm and fastens a cuff to your wrist, tightening them just enough so the cold, hard metal digs into your flesh. It only takes a few moments of your incessant struggling for redness to bloom across the skin of your wrists and Tsukishima can’t help but smile at the sight.
“What kind of sick fuck just has a pair of handcuffs lying around?” You’re scared, he can hear it in the way your voice shakes, but you’re trying to act tough and he can’t help but roll his eyes.
Tsukishima hauls your body over to his bed, forcing you to follow him if you want to prevent fracturing your wrist. He forces you onto the mattress, body bouncing with the impact. With the other cuff in hand, he fastens it to his headboard.
“The kind that’s going to beat your bratty ass into submission before I fuck your stupid cunt.” He hooks his thumbs into the waistband of your flimsy, tiny shorts and pulls them down your legs. You start thrashing harder, trying to slow the movements of his hands but your efforts are futile.
“Stop! What the fuck do you think you’re doing a-asshole!?” You’re on the verge of tears, eyes welling up, bottom lip trembling. You shut your legs as tight as you can in an attempt to impede his quest to remove what’s left of your clothing, but you both know that won’t stop him.
Your entire body stills then seizes up when you see the glint of a box cutter blade in Tsukishima’s hand.
“W-What’re you planning on doing with that?” Your wide, terrified eyes are trained on the blade as he waves it around in the air.
“Stop your whining, I’m not going to cut you with it. It’s just to make removing your clothes easier.” He’s looking at you like a parent would look at a child that was throwing a fit, exasperated and tired of your nonsense. “Hold still and I’ll make this quick. I don’t want to get blood on my sheets just as much as you don’t want to get cut.”
You’re cowering from him, trying to scramble away from him despite the handcuffs anchoring you in place. You gasp when you feel the sharp edge of the blade against your hip, not daring to take another breath. Tsukishima slices through both sides of the little bits of string you call panties, revelling in the way your body trembles underneath him. Another long cut is made down the front of your shirt, the box cutter making quick work of the fabric, and his suspicions are confirmed that you’re not wearing a bra. Of course a whore like you wouldn’t be wearing one.
He admires the enticing curve of your breasts, the way your nipples are hardening in the cool air of his room. Your cheeks are wet with fresh, salty tears and you’re sniveling pathetically. He’s almost tempted to tell you that you’re beautiful like this, tied up and naked, crying, but you don’t deserve his praise.
“Turn over, face down ass up. If I have to tell you a second time, I have no problems carving you up with this blade.” The threat has you scrambling onto your hands and knees, the action hindered by your restraints but you manage to turn over and present your ass to him.
Tsukishima unbuckles his belt, sliding it through the loops of his jeans. He takes it in his hand and folds it in half, inspecting its structural integrity to ensure he won’t destroy it as he whips you with it. The belt is real black leather, heavy in his palm and he knows it’ll make pretty welts on your skin.
“Now, it’s time to beat all of that sass and attitude out of you.”
There’s no warning, no pretense before he starts viciously whipping you with his belt and you’re already screaming. If you hadn’t been so difficult, he might have warmed you up beforehand but he doesn’t mind. Your struggle was like foreplay, a little taste before the main course and it has his cock is straining against his pants.
Every broken cry that leaves your throat sends arousal down his spine and he thinks he
should’ve done this sooner.
He would have if he had known how delicious your screams were.
The blonde is relentless, the impact of the belt never lessening, if anything, the smacks become even more ruthless. Your ass is an angry red and he can see some of the skin beginning to split, fresh, warm blood bubbling to the surface around your deeper wounds.
“P-Please stop, it hurts so much. I can’t take it anymore!” You’re fully sobbing now, tears and snot dripping down your face. “I’ll do a-anything,” you choke out between cries, your voice hoarse from overuse.
“Look at you, bawling hysterically from a few licks with my belt. You really are all bark and no bite. How pathetic,” he sneers.
“Tsukkiiiiii! Please, stop. I’ll do whatever you want as long as you stop hurting me.” The way you say his name is harsh and grating against his ears, but he overlooks it in favor of taking what you’ve been dangling in front of his face all this time.
The sound of Tsukishima’s pants hitting the ground makes you stiffen on the bed, slowly and apprehensively turning your head to look at him. Your eyes widen to the size of dinner plates when you see his cock: thick, hard, and leaking precum.
When you feel the dip of the bed underneath his weight, you start shaking and hyperventilating at the realization that this is really going to happen. “You… You’re really going to do this.” You sound so small, so defeated and his chest swells with pride because he did that—he smothered that blazing fire inside you with little more than a few flicks of his wrist.
“Yeah, and there’s nothing you can do about it so just lie there and take it,” he says as he lines himself up against your slit. When he notices the copious amounts of slick drooling out of your quivering pussy, the man can’t help but laugh at your expense. “Are you actually fucking wet from this? Does being fucked against your will turn you on this much?”
Your cheeks burn with shame and disgust because you are wet from Tsukishima’s abuse. It’s wrong, you know that, but your traitorous body doesn’t even feel like your own as it reacts to his touch. No matter how hard you try, you can’t stop the thrusting of your hips to try to catch the head of his cock each time it slots against the tight ring of muscle around your entrance.
“I always knew you were a cock hungry slut. You don't care whose cock is inside this filthy pussy as long as you’re getting fucked, do you?”
You don’t respond, tears welling up in your eyes and leaving watery trails down your cheeks. He’s right. You asked for this—if you hadn’t tempted him, you wouldn’t be handcuffed to Tsukishima’s bed, waiting for him to defile you.
“I asked you a question,” Tsukishima snarls, fisting your hair in your hand and delivering a sharp spank to your ass. “Tell me how much of a disgusting whore you are.”
“I-I’m a—hiccup—dirty slut that loves t-to get fucked,” you stutter, the words like acid, foul and caustic on your tongue. “All I w-want is a cock inside me.”
“At least you know your place. Now let’s see if this slutty hole of yours is worth anything.” Tsukishima finally thrusts inside you, meeting some resistance from how unprepared you are, but he just pushes harder.
Your walls spasm and clench to try to adjust to his length, but you feel like you’re going to split in half. He’s much bigger than any other man you’ve slept with, stretching and filling you so full your stomach bulges where the tip of his cock is pressed against your cervix.
You scream and writhe on the bed in an attempt to get away from the hard, throbbing length painfully probing your delicate insides, but it’s futile with the handcuffs keeping you firmly shackled to the bed.
“Urgh, shit, for a used hole, you’re so fucking tight. I’m d-definitely going to cum from this.” The blonde takes a sharp breath through clenched teeth, sweat beading on his forehead. He doesn’t want to cum so soon. He can’t cum so soon when he’s waited for this for months.
“P-Please, not inside… I-I’m not on birth control,” you plead softly, hoping he’ll at least spare you the humiliation of having to clean his cum out from inside you.
“Tch, you think I give a shit about that? I’m gonna cum deep inside this pussy, ruin you for Kuroo and any man that’s sorry enough to want to fuck you.” He speaks low, muttering to himself but just loud enough for you to hear.
Despite the aching of your heart each time he speaks, you can feel your pussy begin to give as he fucks into you with abandon, his hips smacking loudly against yours. The sharp burning in your core slowly fades to pleasure as Tsukishima’s cock presses against that little spongy spot inside you that makes you cry out. You bite your lip so hard it bleeds to try to muffle the noise, but it’s no use. He heard you and it just gives him more reason to taunt you.
“Ah, I found it, did I?” the man asks as he hits the spot again and again, making you clench around him as the fluttering of your cunt tells him that you’re close to orgasm. “What a dumb slut you are, about to cream on my cock as I ravage your pussy.”
How utterly fucking humiliating. You’re going to cum on his cock and you didn’t even want this, not with him.
A particularly rough thrust into your g-spot sends electricity down your spine, down your body, and sends you careening over the edge, mouth open in a silent scream. Your sensitive cunt clamps down onto Tsukishima’s cock like a vice, but his ruthless pace doesn’t stop or slow as you shake and convulse underneath him.
It isn’t like any typical orgasm you’ve had, which are usually blissful and warm, flooding your body with pleasure that makes your limbs heavy and your head fuzzy. No, this is almost painful, as if your orgasm was ripped out of you by force.
All of your muscles contract as hard as they can and several seconds pass before they relax, your body shaking all the while. As it hits it feels as if a bucket of ice water was poured over your head, shocking and jarring, and you want to claw your way out of your own skin it's all so intense.
Once the last of the aftershocks leave you, you slump forward on the bed, boneless, chest heaving with every breath. You’re too exhausted to hold yourself up as Tsukishima keeps fucking into your overstimulated cunt, taking no regard for you or your body as he chases his own climax.
You’re whining, gasping, hands fisted into the sheets to try to keep yourself grounded as electricity shoots through you with each thrust.
“Too muuuch, ‘s too much,” you slur, but it only falls on deaf ears.
The blonde pulls almost all the way out before shoving himself back inside the tight, wet heat of your cunt, and pushing against your cervix so hard you think he’s trying to fuck that hole too. You’re so fuck drunk that your eyes cross and your tongue lolls out of your mouth, strings of drool staining the mattress.
“Hey,” he calls out, yanking your hair backwards so you’re arched back towards him. “Don’t pass out; I’m gonna cum soon, so tighten up.”
You’re barely conscious by the time his thrusts become sloppy and uncoordinated, his own peak just on the horizon. His grip on your flesh is bruising, no doubt leaving purple marks in the shape of his fingers. The pistoning of his hips gets even faster, lewd squelching noises filling the room.
“Fuck, I’m gonna cum inside this slutty little pussy and you’re going to take it all,” Tsukishima groans, digging his long fingers into your hips as he fucks into you.
All you can do is whine and mewl as he buries himself to the hilt, cursing and groaning as he shoots thick, warm spurts of cum into your sore, quivering womb. He leans forward, resting his forehead on your sweaty back as he catches his breath.
Some time passes before he withdraws and you twitch and gasp, the barest stimulation too much for your abused cunt. You try to curl in on yourself to go to sleep, but Tsukishima grabs your ankle and drags your limp body toward the edge of the bed.
“You really think we’re done here? Not even close. I’m not stopping until I’ve soiled every single one of your filthy holes.”

Dating the famous mangaka Kishibe Rohan would be an honor to most people. He's a man of power and fame, who wouldn't want to be with him? The moms who hang out at the park always tell you that you should feel like the luckiest person in the world. They'd tell you that a million girls would kill to be in your shoes.
Although you love Rohan with all your heart (and you should feel deserving of his love), you sometimes start to wonder if dating the great Kishibe Rohan is worth it.
You met Rohan at an art exhibit in France. You had been a model for several pieces in that said exhibit, so obviously you had to come along for the event. Meeting Rohan was a love at first sight. He had asked if you would want to model for him sometime, and you had agreed. Soon after one visit and project, came after another, and then another, until you were working mainly with the mangaka. You can't say you didn't like it though, you enjoyed being in Rohan's presence. He was chivalrous when he wanted to be, and you found his sarcastic nature be quite humorous in fact. You spent so much time with Rohan in fact, you would have considered him a friend. Your relationship with the mangaka was no longer just work related, the both of you had become good friends.
However, the real problem in your friendship with Rohan began to show when your parents were involved. Your parents tolerated Rohan (or at least you thought they did), but they were getting annoyed with the fact the mangaka kept hogging your time. You should be modeling with professional photographers, or modeling for famous designers. But instead you're being used as reference from some manga artist in Japan.
You understood your parent's point of view in the subject, but you enjoyed working with Rohan more than you did any other project you had worked on. You continued to visit Rohan, despite your parent's protests (and Rohan couldn't have been happier).
The more visits that happened, the closer you got to the mangaka. It wasn't long before Rohan had asked you on a date. Eventually multiple dates leaded to the both of you starting a relationship. You knew your parents would hate Rohan even more now, but he didn't seem to mind. He'd always tell you that he didn't care what your parents thought about him, he was content with having you as a partner. Even if your parents did find out about your secret relationship, you highly doubt they would react dramatically. Sure, they'd really, really dislike it, but they wouldn't disown you for it. After all you were a grown adult, you should be able to make your own decisions right?
At least that's what you thought. One day, Rohan made an unexpected visit on your front door step. You didn't expect for him to be there, nor did you know how he got your address (considering the fact you lived in a completely different continent), but you didn't think much of it since you thought this could be your chance to properly introduce Rohan to your parents.
The introduction went by smoothly, Rohan was getting along with your parents, and your parents seemed to accept that Rohan was your partner. However, it did seem a bit suspicious that your parent's dislike of Rohan turned into an approval almost in a span of a few minutes. They had even agreed to let you move out with Rohan. While you could admit that you and Rohan had been planning to live in Morioh-Cho together, you didn't think it'd happen instantly. And that your parents would agree nonetheless. Regardless, you and Rohan accepted your parent's blessing's and left France.
You vividly remembered on your plane flight to Morioh-Cho, Rohan had whispered in your ear while stroking your hair softly, "You must be lucky to have me right [first]? I'm all you have left now.."
-
Life in Morioh-Cho was sweet to say the least. It was a drastic change from living in a fashion capital of the world, to a small quiet place where there was much to do. Nevertheless, you truly enjoyed your new life, it was better than going to photoshoots every week. Speaking of which, you never do photoshoots anymore. Rohan convinced you to quit your job as a model (since he is wealthy enough to provide for the both of you anyway), and you had agreed. Though, every time you mentioned getting a job to Rohan, he'd simply call you an idiot for wanting to work. He'd ask you if he needed step up his game for you, and you'd only close your mouth in the conversation.
Your relationship with Rohan was a drastic change too. From what was sweet, humble dates every weekend, went to being locked in a home for what was everyday. Rohan would spend hours in his art studio, drawing multiple pages for his manga. He'd tell you to not go out while he was working. But even then, that's most of the time.
You'd be lying if you didn't find this type of behavior weird.
-
"I'm leaving to go visit Italy for a couple of days [first]. Do you remember the rules?"
You nodded and kissed Rohan's cheek before handing him his suitcase. "Don't go outside unless we run out of groceries, don't let people inside-" Rohan cut you off "Especially those idiots Josuke and Okuyasu" he said scoffing at his distaste for the boys. You only sighed in response, "Especially Josuke and Okuyasu. Hope you have a good trip love" you smiled holding his hands close to your chest. Rohan kissed your lips softly and mumbled a quick 'goodbye' before leaving your shared home. You sighed and walked into the kitchen, before sitting down on a chair. You respected his rules, and you didn't want to lie to him, but you were bored out of your mind. You wanted to go out and have fun. Not to mention, although you know that Rohan could buy you whatever you wanted; but you wanted to have some money of your own. You can't rely on Rohan forever. You had decided that tomorrow you'd start looking for a job (any job, part-time even, you just wanted some type of job to keep you entertained for a while). Rohan would get mad sure, but you promised you'd discuss when he'd come back. You were sure he'd support you
You were sure of it.
-
Looking for a job was harder than you thought. It seemed that nobody wanted to hire somebody who only had 'model' on their resume. Sometimes you'd wish you had taken on other jobs other than modeling, maybe then people would hire you. Regardless, you kept looking, desperate to find a job somewhere.
In the end, you ended up finding an Italian restaurant after hours of searching. You stepped in and was greeted a tall, blonde Italian man. "Hello good afternoon my name is Tonio, welcome to my restuarant" he greeted you while smiling at you sweetly. You smiled awkwardly and muttered a quick 'thank you', "Um Tonio san, I'm not here to eat..but I'd like to ask you if you are hiring. I can't cook, but I can be a waitress!-" you exclaimed, leaving Tonio in a small shock. He looked at you up and down before smiling at you once again, "Well I don't usually hire people since I'm doing good on my own, but I guess a little help wouldn't hurt.." he told you. You smiled back and hugged him, "Oh thank you so much! You don't know how much I struggled finding a job today-" you let him go, "Uhm, sorry.." you mumbled. He chuckled and led you to a table.
The two of you talked a bit for a while, you told hima bout your modeling career and your relationships, while he told you about his journey to Japan and Italian cuisine. You both shared laughs and stories together, you had a good time. Your time with Tonio became even better when he officially had hired you as a waitress! You were happy, and you couldn't wait to tell Rohan when he got home!
"Well I'll see you next week Tonio!" you shouted as you left the door, carrying the bouquet of daisies Tonio had gifted you. Tonio smiled, "I'll see you then bambina!".
-
You arrive a little later than planned (guess you spent too much time talking to Tonio), but you finally made it home safe and sound. You might as well start cleaning, since you weren't going to sleep any time soon. As you opened the door, you were met face to face with Rohan. You dropped your daises on the floor, and began to think of all the apologies and excuses you could think of. But it was no use, excuses would only make Rohan's anger boil even more.
Why was he even here in the first place? Wasn't he supposed to be in Italy by now?!
"Rohan I-"
"Save it, I don't want to hear a word from you" Rohan growled angrily before walking towards you. He had pulled out a pen and you felt as if you passed out.
Rohan had used Heaven's Door to read the pages of your life. He looked for the information of today, and when he did, he was fuming. He read his newly learned information out loud, gripping onto your hair in the process, "This man named Tonio is so handsome, and he cooks too.. I feel like this skirt is a bit risqué, but oh well.." with that last sentence Rohan had the last straw. He removed his stand's effect on you, but not before writing a few things.
Once the effects of Heaven's Door were gone, you began to feel a heat between your legs. Noticing you were on your knees, you crawled your way to Rohan, "Rohann, feel so hot need you.." you mewled out. Rohan was furious with your previous behavior, but maybe this would help you learn a few things. "So you were tempted to cheat on me right? I bet you would’ve enjoyed if that Tonio flipped your skirt right?" he said slapping your face in the process. You whimpered, "No no no no, that's not true..please need you. Need you so bad" you were starting to tear up just by him insinuating you were going to cheat on him. Rohan looked down at you, gods you looked so pathetic, just like he wanted you to look like.
"Such a fucking slut" he said unbuckling his pants, eager to have your warm and needy mouth all around his cock. Once he finished doing that he looked at you dead in the eye, "Suck. Suck like the whore you are. Aren't you ashamed [first]? I bet you also sucked Tonio’s cock in that job interview right?” He said watching you as you sloppily sucked his cock. You probably aren’t even thinking right now, your just hungry for his cock right? Such a little slut. “And to think your parents didn’t like me. They just didn’t know you belonged to me. But that’s fine I had to get rid of them regardless..” he chuckled before he bucked his hips into your mouth repeatedly.
Rohan grabs you by the hair and begins to push your head down his member, sinking your mouth down to his pubes; much to your displeasure. At the moment however he didn’t care what you felt, sluts like you don’t mind right? He continued to do so for a few more seconds before he came in your mouth, groaning loudly. He came inside your mouth, and there was so much of it you couldn’t help but to cough some out.
You laid your head on his lap and breathed out softly, before Rohan lifted your chin up and grinned,
“Who said we were done?”
-
Dating the great Kishibe Rohan would be an honor to most people. Who wouldn’t want to be by his side. Unfortunately for you, dating Kishibe Rohan was not a glitter and sparkles.
Being Kishibe Rohan’s personal cum dump isn’t much better either.

a year flew by faster than you had hoped. Two weeks turned into a month, a month turned into six, and six months turned into a year. A lot of things can happen within a year. Hell, a shit ton of things can happen within six months, yet here you were, all glammed up in your best dress at the move premiere of love cemetery.
you hadn’t felt this nervous in ages. the quickening of your pulse, the rapidly beating heart, to your pals that perspired as the seconds ticked on by. akaashi stood by you this whole time as your gaze keeps looking over to the guest list as if it were to magically change if you were too look away for one second. akaashi had been by your side, your moral support and the absolute backbone of your sanity the moment you and the team landed in los angeles a year ago. he noticed everything about you. he was one of your best friends, how could he not notice the way you were suddenly quiet and not excited right now?
he laid a careful hand on the small of your back to comfort you, leaning over to the same list of guests you were worrying about. “are you worried about who i invited again?”
“i’m more worried they’re not coming.” you confess without a single beat missed.
“oh, they will,” he assured you confidently. there was even a rising smirk in his expression when he let go of you, “have a little bit of faith in me will you? i was the one who got you back in touch with them.”
you huff playfully, rolling your eyes as you recalled the strange feeling of isolation over six months ago when you landed in la. it was in no doubt the longest flight of your life, lasting a good fifteen hours if you counted the two hour layover in hawaii due to reckless turbulence (it was one of the scariest flights in your life too). you had read their texts then, drowning in the sudden downpour of emotions when you read their words, i love you.
it almost didn’t seem real. you swore it had to have been the fatigue playing games on you as you couldn’t sleep for the life of you on the plane. yeah, maybe that was it, you excused. you were so desperate for their messages to be a figment of your imagination, you literally tried everything—turning your phone on and off, asking sugawara for eye droplets, and even ignored it until you were back on the plane and landed in los angeles. it had to be fake, please be fake. yet, in the back of your head you knew damn well it wasn’t.
there was a plaguing thought within you, one that’s so destructive and degenerative that you hated the fact you thought this way. but it wasn’t like you could help it. insecurity was a troublesome venom that coursed through your veins everyday and there didn’t seem to be an antidote to your own self-destruction.
you loved them both, but you weren’t entirely sure if you had enough love to give for the both of them, let alone one. iwaizumi and bokuto’s feelings confused you to the core. you broke their hearts, yet how could they still love you so dearly?
you didn’t know the answer nor did you have time to even find it.
the film crew stayed in los angeles for two weeks and filmed over the course of that time period. days were filled with twelve hour shoots and a tight film schedule. being the author of the work itself, you were a major part of the production alongside the director. he trusted your vision and you’d often find yourself staying on set the entire day while kaori and the rest of the ddd team felt like they were on vacation. your only free time during that time was the ten minute holy grails in between takes that you were able to check social media.
you simply didn’t have the time to think about them. and yet they were like haunting ghosts that followed you relentlessly. every time you checked twitter or instagram, you would see every post, every tweet, every story. all of which would send your heart spiraling and tugging.
you missed them. but it wasn’t like you could do anything about it. you couldn’t possibly strike up conversation with any of them after completely ignoring their calls and texts for weeks. you had to have an odd amount of audacity to do that, and you simply didn’t have the guts to do so. if anything, the only lasting form of communication between you and the boys was the ringing notification that you liked each other’s posts.
it was quite the sad reality.
the film set then transferred to new york city, where the next two weeks would be filled with yet another plethora of twelve hour work days. fortunately for you, the rest of the ddd team were pulling a bit more of their weight, helping you on the creative side of things, yet still having the time to do all the fun touristy things whilst in the city.
you could remember the way your heart lit up seeing iwaizumi and bokuto’s names beneath who saw your story. it was a video of you and your team at the lady liberty statue. in it, kaori and yuko were chomping down on gigantic $2 street hot dogs, sugawara was yelling at semi for getting in the way of his film camera, while akaashi was complaining that the wind kept knocking down his green lady liberty hat.
it was strange thinking how fast things can change. within the first week, you were always up for an adventure in the city when the days were filled with work, but as the week progressed, your social meter decreased more and more.
loneliness hit you then. it was a peculiar type of loneliness, the type that you felt alone despite being surrounded by your closest friends and working on your dream project. you figured you were just homesick the way everyone else was getting all ready for a night out going bar hopping while you sat in the living room of your hotel room in your pajamas.
“are you sure you don’t want to come with us, (y/n)?” kaori asked you, concern washing over her slightly as you flickered her a tired look.
you shook your head, a small smile of gratitude melting upon your lips. “no, you guys go on ahead and have fun.”
your friends could only give you a look. they knew why you were being like this and they knew damn well it wasn’t homesickness. semi specifically threw you a look that’s meant to be teasing and oddly persuasive. “it’s been over a month, this can be a chance for you to finally meet someone new!” he exclaimed optimistically.
what was stopping you, anyway? it was clear nothing was, yet you still held yourself back. homesickness couldn’t possibly be to reason for it either. why are am i being like this?
“it’s okay, i’m with akaashi,” you decline once more, “he’ll keep me company.”
“alright then, join us once you feel like moving on.” says yuko with a hint of venom in her tone. you couldn’t blame her for saying that though as it was the harsh reality of it all.
your friends filed out the door, closing it in a thud and once again you felt alone. isolated as if you were in a void of your own silent thoughts that even the loud murmurs coming from the television wasn’t enough to drown out your shallow inhibitions.
the night continued on like this for a few hours. eating snacks in the dark living room with the remote in your hand, flipping channels every five minutes as your running thoughts couldn’t keep your attention span still. it felt like you were missing something, a part of yourself that you couldn’t exactly pinpoint. you thought of all of the possibilities why you felt like there was a void in your heart, yet the only thing you could properly convince yourself on was that you just missed home. but was that really all that you had missed?
you thoughts are interrupted by steps approaching you. akaashi walks into the living room, flicking on the switches and causing you to grimace at the bright lights. your eyes stung slightly as they adjusted from being in the dark for too long.
“where are you going?” you ask akaashi as you noticed his dressed up attire.
“i got done with all the paperwork and emails,” he answers while he fixes the collar of his dress shirt, “i’m deciding to have some fun tonight with the rest of the group. are you still up for it? i’ll wait for you to get ready if you want.”
the thought occurred within you that you should agree. that the possibility of this unexplainable feeling of isolation you were feeling would disappear if you were to just say yes and go. but as self-destructive as you were on yourself, you continued to hold yourself back—hesitant and always second guessing your actions.
you open your mouth slightly, but you ultimately just shook your head no.
akaashi lets out a sigh. he was genuinely hoping you would come around sooner or later. granted, it had been over a month since you guys left japan and he figured you would be over everything by now, but that obviously wasn’t the case. “you might be receiving a call soon... i suggest you should answer it.”
confusion flushed over your expression, giving him a strange look. but before you could even utter a single question to him, akaashi was already up and out the door.
he left you in a wake of curiosity for the rest of the night. it was nearing one in the morning and you still hadn’t yet received a phone call. it honestly sounded incredibly ominous that you grew a tad bit nervous. there were only so many possibilities on who would call, but it would actually infuriate you if akaashi was just joking around. but then again, akaashi isn’t the type to play something childish like that unless it was kaori or semi’s idea. regardless, the thought kept you awake as you eyes practically weighed like cinder blocks at this point.
you couldn’t believe you wait for two hours for a phone call that might not even happ—it shocked you at first, the ringing of your obnoxious ring tone and the buzzing of the vibrations on the table.
furrowing your brows as you reached over, a gasp left you the moment you read the contact name. your slapped a hand over your mouth to muffle your shock. your hand shook from the growing bundle of nerves in your gut as you hesitate.
the name ‘kou’ shined brightly against your face, coaxing you to answer as if your thumb wasn’t frozen the accept button. out of all the possibilities on who would be calling you tonight, it just had to be him. it wasn’t like you opposed talking to bokuto. if anything, you had spent countless of sleepless nights wondering if you should finally answer that text of his. yet no matter how many different messages you have typed, none of them ever saw the light of day. a hurricane of stupid conversation starters and ice breakers swarmed in your head, all messy and disorganized that if you didn’t just suck it up and answered, you would’ve probably missed a chance to reconnect with him.
fuck it, you thought as you accepted the call.
“(y/n)!” bokuto called out to you, sending your heart running thousands of miles an hour. it had been ages since you heard your name come out of his mouth, “how’ve you been? a little birdy told me you needed a little company.”
you had to hold yourself back from smiling too much as you could already feel your cheeks ache. you wanted to scoff and perhaps groan at the sudden embarrassment of what akaashi could’ve told him. “bo—” you started, but is immediately cut off.
yet another familiar voice emitted from bokuto’s line, almost as if they were shouting, “you’re supposed to say that i’m here too, idiot!”
the volleyball player chuckles, “oh sorry, iwa-chan! here.” muffles and cups clanking against each other travel through to line to what you assume is bokuto handing his phone over to iwaizumi.
“uh... hi.” his voice sounded deeper than usual.
“hi iwa, how have you been?” you chuckle, finding his sudden shyness absolutely adorable.
“good, good. i’ve uhh... missed you.”
“i do too.”
“yeah, yeah, you miss me most though right?” bokuto’s loud voice thunders through the call.
the juxtaposition of how daftly different they were was something you could never get enough of. perhaps it was at that moment you finally understood your loneliness through their bickering. you were in fact homesick, but the home that you were thinking of wasn’t what you were missing the most. you suppose the home you missed was them. they were your home.
you let out an amused laugh, “right.”
“that’s good because iwaizumi and i should be mad at you for ghosting us for the past month, but we understand since akaashi explained to us already.”
your eyes suddenly widen into saucers, panicking what he could have possibly said. “what did he tell you?”
“everything,” bo sings.
you audibly groan in embarrassment, throwing your head back onto the couch in retaliation. you were glad they couldn’t see how flushed and red your cheeks were right now as they even extended out to the tips of your ears.
“you know it would’ve been easier to say that you love the both of us and didn’t want to choose right?” iwaizumi points out in between your panic.
“exactly!” cuts in bokuto, “besides we don’t sharing you, you know. who knew you were such a prude, (y/n).” you could practically hear the smirk in his voice as you couldn’t stop the heat from spreading any further from your face.
now you were really glad they weren’t able to see you at that moment. if they did, you would’ve died from the embarrassment then and there. “give me a break, i was too embarrassed to ask,” you mutter, fearing that they could hear how fast your heart was beating through the call.
“ask what?” iwaizumi teases, “ask if you could date the both of us?”
you were internally screaming at this point. everything that you didn’t think was going to happen, happened all within five minutes and you honestly couldn’t believe it. you were pinching yourself as if you were in a dream, yet no matter how hard you squeezed, this was actually happening. “shut up!” was all you could say.
“even if you did ask... it’s not like we could ever say no to you, (y/n).” says bokuto, his words so enticing that you weren’t sure if you’re heart can handle any more of this.
his words left you absolutely speechless. you honestly didn’t know what to say at this point.
"i’m fine with it and bokuto’s fine with it.” iwaizumi says, “it’s just a matter if you’re willing.”
bokuto then leans forward towards his phone, “so what do you say, (y/n)?”
you swallowed the lump of nerves forming into your throat as the one question you never thought you would ever be asked was right in front of you. and yet you still hesitated despite everything that had just happened. you loved them both, so why weren’t you answering?
a few beats of silence passed before your gained the courage to push out the the very words, “... i’ll think about it.”
“boo! that’s lame!” bokuto shouts.
“i’ll give you guys an answer when i get back home.” you add, hoping to ease the disappointment they were probably feeling at that very moment.
“that won’t be for another few months, though.” iwaizumi deadpans that you could practically see the pout on both of their faces. “but we’ll promise to wait for you, (y/n).”
and so they waited for you to come back home, but you never did. schedules misaligned even when you were finally back home in tokyo. bokuto was getting progressively more busy now that the olympics were coming up and iwaizumi was just as busy, if not busier with the amount of athletes he had to take care of. there was even a constant flying back and forth from tokyo to los angeles for the film, all of which lasted for a few weeks at a time and you swear your couldn’t catch a break.
this went on for months with the only contact between you and the boys were from texting and phone calls that ended up shorter than you anticipated. and now a year had past since you left and this very movie premiere would be the first time you have seen iwaizumi and bokuto for the first time in a year.
this was so ironic how this all played out. you haven’t even realized you already reached the end of the red carpet when an interviewer calls out your name, microphone in hand and a camera pointed directly at your face.
“ms. (y/l/n)!” the woman shouts over the ruckus of snapping photos and other interviewers asking questions to the actors behind you. “there has been rumors going around about your dating life. are you dating msby’s bokuto koutarou or their athletic trainer iwaizumi hajime, who has been getting a lot of attention from stan twitter just recently! could you share some insight on your live life as love cemetery’s creator?”
“um,” you start, not sure how to answer the question as you nervous chuckled, “that’s a secret i’m afraid i can’t tell.”
before the woman could ask you any other questions, you walked away from the carpet and rushed towards the banquet hall. thankfully, akaashi and kaori was nearby and gratefully took your place in the interview without a second thought.
you let out a relieved sigh as much of the noise from the premiere died down as the only people inside the banquet hall were movie critics, the film crew, and other celebrities who were invited. by now, no one in this room would have the audacity to ask you such a personal question which caused weights to fall off your shoulder. you honestly should be used to those types of questions right now as a webtoon author that literally writes romance, but it always catches you off guard when you least expect it. honestly, you were just glad you didn’t slip up.
as a small little reward for yourself, you grab a flute of champagne from the refreshment table, decorated all fancy that you even hesitated to mess up the display. you turn around to face the growing crowd of mingling individuals, talking and laughing amongst each other as you sipped your drink gently. but as you watch you feel a presence on either side of you, both of which sent your heart soaring and a smile to appeared on your cherry colored lips. you didn’t even have to look them up and down to see how handsome they both looked. to think they were all yours.
“so what did you tell that interviewer?” bokuto asks nonchalantly as if he could just get away from a proper greeting. you were surprised he didn’t just engulfed you into his arms then and there.
instead, you opted to play along, “about what?” you tested with a smirk.
“the question about who you’re dating,” iwaizumi adds in from your other side.
you shrug, taking a sip of your champagne, “you guys probably wouldn’t like the answer i gave her.” you could feel the brazen stares bokuto and iwaizumi were giving each other—competitive and oddly provoking.
“she probably said she was dating me,” bokuto hums in response, confidence radiating off him that it caused you to scoff.
“i doubt it,” debates iwaizumi, giving him the same energy. “she probably said she was dating me.”
“actually,” you cut in before the two could possibly start bickering with each other, “i remember specifically saying that i’d thinking about it.”
the boys give you a look, downing their drinks as if they were like the shots they swallowed many nights ago at that bar. it was as if they were trying to win your over again like your feelings had changed since then.
“oh yeah?” bokuto starts, inching closer towards you while iwaizumi rested his arm on the table behind you.
“so what do you think, (y/n)?” says iwaizumi.
they both towered over you, just inches away from your body, but you didn’t cower or back away. if anything there was a playful smirk inevitably resting upon your lips.
now this, was going to be fun.
fun facts! —
sugawara has five rolls of film he had to get developed once they wrapped filming in osaka, each roll is from each city they went to for filming
iwaizumi and bokuto became really close friends when y/n left for la as they bonded over getting ghosted
bc of this,, bokuto posted a pic of him and iwa on his instagram and it got lots of attention that iwa went viral on stan twitter

– parisian nights
Tumblr media
+ ft. tamaki amajiki
+ wc: 2.5k
+ format: one-shot
+ premise: tamaki amajiki, heir to amajiki enterprises, has it all. yet, all he wants is you. could a sudden trip to paris be enough to win your heart?
+ note: my piece for @bakugohoex’s 3k collab! hope you all enjoy!
Tumblr media
tamaki amajiki, in a literal sense, had it all and anything he wanted was at a snap of his well-manicured fingertips. every luxury sports car, every trip to the tropics, every gaming system was only one lip pout to his daddy and mommy. he was spoiled to say the least but what kind of rich kid wasn’t?
it wasn’t until tamaki stumbled upon you that he took a moment to reevaluate his life as a rich boy.
you had humble beginnings, coming from a family of average societal standing. your family didn’t have to worry about money but they were nowhere close to the standing of the amajiki family. humble and modest, tamaki thought you were the cutest thing in the whole wide world!
and what tamaki liked, tamaki got.
he remembered flashing you a fat tip for your service at the coffee shop you worked as a barista at. tamaki struggled with social interaction at times but all of that went out the window the moment he locked eyes with you. he found that he didn’t have to work on his social skills, as long as he had the money to buy the friendships and interactions.
he thought you were the same as the others, easily swayed by money.
yet, you weren’t.
you rejected the tip and told him to put it in the communal tip jar for all the baristas shared from. tamaki was stunned but did what you asked of him. anxiety bubbled in his stomach and his facade of suave rich guy nearly cracked.
but tamaki wouldn’t give up so easily.
─────────────────
“morning, amajiki-san,” you greeted him every morning with that same gentle smile of yours. barely any customers were in the coffee shop, which tamaki preferred. he utterly despised crowds of people.
“good morning, (l/n)-san,” he returned the greeting and the smile.
“the usual?” you already got a medium-sized cup out.
“yes please,” he hummed. tamaki actually hated coffee, it made his anxiety worse but he would risk an anxiety attack if it meant he could interact with you.
you nodded and got to work, preparing a medium iced coffee for tamaki. he watched you move around from behind the counter, his eyes fixated on your gorgeous form.
“one medium iced coffee for amajiki-san!” you handed the coffee to tamaki.
“thank you,” tamaki fished out an envelope from his pocket, “your tip.”
you furrowed your eyebrows at the envelope and took it cautiously, “what’s this, amajiki-san?”
“your tip,” tamaki repeated.
carefully, you opened up the envelope and pulled out its contents.
“amajiki-san..” you uttered his first name, “what the hell is this?”
“two tickets to paris,” tamaki leaned against the counter, “well, the tickets are more of a formality. we’ll be taking my private jet to the city.”
“amajiki-san..” you sighed.
“pretty please, (l/n)-san?” tamaki flashed you his famous puppy eyes.
“why should i go with a guy i barely know?”
ouch, that hurt.
“well, we can use this as an opportunity to get to know one another.”
you frowned, “i’ll have to think about it.”
“come to this address in a week from now at two in the afternoon,” tamaki got out a pen from his pocket and wrote down an address on a piece of napkin, “if you’re interested in coming.”
you took the napkin and nodded, “very well then.”
tamaki could only hope that you would come.
─────────────────
tamaki paced around outside the private jet, frantically checking his watch every two minutes. it was nearly two o’clock and you still weren’t near yet. you weren’t coming, tamaki decided, much to his dismay.
“amajiki-sama?” the pilot poked his head outside the jet, “ready to take off?”
“no, not yet!” tamaki hollered. the pilot flashed a thumbs up and returned inside the plane. tamaki let out a heavy sigh, where were you?
“am i late?”
tamaki perked up at the sound of your voice. he saw your figure approaching the jet, the wind ruffling your white sundress and sunhat. a lone suitcase rolled behind you.
“you came,” tamaki stated in surprise.
“didn’t think i was gonna show?” you chuckled.
tamaki let out a soft laugh and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, “yeah..”
“well, i’m here!” you smiled, “you’re gonna treat me to the trip of a lifetime, correct? why in the world would i miss out on that?”
tamaki’s heart fluttered at the sight of your smile, “well, what are we waiting for? let’s get this trip started.”
a flight attendant exited the jet and took your luggage. tamaki took your hand and guided you inside the jet. your lips formed a small ‘o’ in shock at the interior of the jet. it was much larger on the inside than it was on the outside with push-lined seats and entertainment systems galore. a person could live without worry in this jet.
“you own this?” you asked tamaki, as you took a seat in one of the comfortable looking seats.
“my parents do,” he answered, “they use it for business trips.”
“i see,” you eyed at the approaching concession cart. the flight attendant before earlier was operating it and she offered you a wide selection of drinks and snacks. you ended up getting a plain green tea while tamaki got a bag of honey barbecue flavored chips.
“so what made you decide to invite me on this trip?” you took a long drag of your green tea.
tamaki paused from munching on his chips. he cleared his throat, “i thought ‘why not?’ in all honesty,” that was a lie, tamaki wanted to impress you with a flashy trip to the city of love.
“do you take all the girls you’ve met on trips to paris?”
“only the girls i like.”
tamaki almost choked at his comment, his cheeks flushing a nice shade of pink. you raised your eyebrows at him in an act of bewilderment. tamaki attempted to change the conversation and informed you, “we should be there in thirteen hours, so it’s best to “get situated.”
you gave him a nod, “alrighty. well, i’ll be asleep so you have fun.”
tamaki opened his mouth to reply, only to given the cold shoulder as you reclined your seat and got noise canceling headphones on. he watched, as you situated yourself and promptly fell asleep. he chuckled, that was adorable.
a two day trip to paris, what could possibly go wrong?
─────────────────
“(l/n)-san.”
tamaki gently removed your noise cancelling headphones from your head.
“we’re here, in paris.”
you let out a groan, as your eyes slowly opened. how long were you out? a couple of hours?
“you slept the whole trip,” tamaki laughed quietly.
“oh.. i did? sorry,” you murmured, rubbing the guck out of your eyes.
tamaki brushed a loose hair out of your face, “it’s alright.”
you blushed slightly at his warm touch but masked with a cough, “so! uh! whatcha wanna do in paris?”
tamaki blinked, he hadn’t planned that far ahead.
“would you like to see the louvre?”
─────────────────
japan had nothing on the bustling streets of paris. the sidewalks were filled to the brim with people mulling about, some on their phones with shopping bags and others chatting amongst themselves. the louvre was only a block away, crowded with tourists eager to see the mona lisa.
“no need to worry about the crowds,” tamaki gave you a smile when you two approached the louvre, “i set aside us a private tour of the musuem.”
“oh really?” you crossed your arms with disdain.
tamaki pouted, “would.. would you rather do a normal tour?”
you smiled, “yes please.”
the two of you pushed your way through the crowds and entered the louvre, you staring in awe of the artworks. tamaki concealed a small smile at your wonderment, he found it to be absolutely cute to watch.
you’re more than a work of art, (f/n). was what tamaki wanted to say but he didn’t have the courage nor the guts to say it.
“wow, the mona lisa is so tiny!” you commented to tamaki when you two found the famed piece of art. you were right, the mona lisa was surprisingly small. you grabbed tamaki by the hand and pulled him closer to the painting, “look how beautiful it is, amajiki-san.”
tamaki grew flustered at your touch but gave your hand a light squeeze, “(l/n)-san.. you can call me tamaki, if you want.”
you gave him a look and tamaki cursed internally. was it too soon to be on a first name basis?
“okay, tamaki.”
tamaki let out a sigh of relief.
“where would you like to go next?” tamaki questioned to you after the two of you finished your tour of the louvre.
you pondered on the question for a moment.
“let’s go shopping.”
─────────────────
tamaki patiently waited outside a fitting room, as you tried on various articles of clothing. he offered to pay– his parents gave him an allowance for the trip– and to his surprise, you actually accepted his offer.
“you alright in there..?” tamaki asked, not wanting to walk in on you half naked.
there was some rustling and you emerged from the dressing room, “how do i look?” you asked tamaki, twirling around in your new dress.
tamaki gulped at the sight of the dress. its neckline highlighted your collarbone quite nicely and hugged your curves just right. he pulled at his collar and adverted his gaze, “er.. you look.. uh.. very nice..”
“i do?” you hugged his arm and pressed yourself against tamaki. he was sweating bullets now, “yes! y- yes, you d- do!” his eyes widened, not his stutter coming back at the worst possible moment.
“you have a stutter?”
shit. shit. shit. shit. shit.
“so wh- what if i d- do..”
“it’s cute.”
tamaki’s eyes widened.
“y- you th- think so?”
you nodded rapidly, “of course i do! i’m not gonna poke fun at it.”
tamaki coughed, “th- thanks.”
“of course,” you released your hold on his arm, “the night is still young, what should we do next?”
tamaki peered outside, nightfall was upon the city.
“a trip to paris isn’t complete without a visit to the effiel tower now, isn’t it?”
─────────────────
being on top of the effiel tower made the world seem so small.
tamaki took a moment to enjoy the cold breeze that passed through his indigo locks, closing his eyes and just enjoying the feeling of being on top of the world for a moment. you stood next to him, doing the same thing. you hated to admit it but this had been the most fun you have had in a while. all thanks to tamaki amajiki, of course.
“hey tamaki?”
“yes, (f/n)?”
“can i tell you a secret?”
tamaki opened his eyes, “of course.”
you stared out onto the city of lights and leaned against the guardrail.
“i never left japan until yesterday.”
tamaki laughed, “that’s not much of a secret. it was a little obvious.”
you scrunched your nose up in annoyance, “meanie.”
tamaki acted wounded, “that hurt.”
you rolled your eyes, “i enjoyed today. i hope you can ensure the same for tomorrow.”
tamaki looked down at his shoes and sighed, “i hope i can.”
“hey tamaki?”
“yes?” he looked up.
“what’s the real reason you invited me on this trip?”
tamaki hung his head down low.
“tamaki, look at me.”
he looked back up.
“tell me the truth.”
tamaki couldn’t lie to you anymore.
“it’s because.. i like you, (f/n).”
now it was your turn to hang your head low.
“why me, tamaki?”
tamaki pressed his lips together, “what do you mean?”
taking his hands into yours, the two of you were forced to look one another in the eye. you took a deep breath and began to speak your piece.
“i want to know the real tamaki amajiki. not this fake version. i think the closer we got was what happened in the fitting room. i get it, you’re rich.. but you didn’t have to whisk me away to paris just to confess that you had a crush on me, tamaki.”
“wh- what should have i done instead..?” not the stutter!
you half-smiled, “take me out for coffee, silly.”
was it really that simple?
“maybe i- i do that next time.”
“next time?”
fuck, was there not going to be a next time?
“there won’t be a next time until you tell me about yourself,” you gave tamaki a playful punch in the shoulder. he winced a bit but played it off. tamaki looked back out onto the city, “what would you like to know?”
“what’s it like being an heir?” you leaned against the guardrail.
tamaki tilted his head back and let out a long breathe, “exhausting.”
you cocked your head to the left, “how so?”
“my parents have high expectations of me. forcing me to go to college to study business for the sole purpose of taking over the company. this might sound silly but i wanted to study food science and become a nutritional therapist,” tamaki clasped his hands together tightly, “there’s no true freedom. money has a price and that price is your freedom. the public hounds you, the elite is full of backstabbers, and i just want to settle down with a nice girl.”
“and that nice girl would be?” you smiled.
“you, of course.”
you blushed at tamaki’s response.
“i would give up all the money i have if it means i can be with you,” tamaki confessed with tears in his eyes, “i truly mean it. i fell in love with you the moment i saw you in that coffee shop, (f/n) (l/n).”
“re- really?” now you were stuttering.
“truly,” tamaki cupped your cheeks and bore his eyes into yours, “i truly mean it. i only want you, (f/n). i would give you everything and anything you could have ever wanted. i want to be there for you.”
“b- but you barely know me!” you protested.
“then let me get to know you,” tamaki fired back.
you were rendered speechless. you adverted your gaze from tamaki and he removed his hands from your face. tamaki bowed his head in disgrace, “i- i’m sorry, (l/n)-san.”
“it’s okay, tamaki!” you exclaimed, “really it is. i admire your fire. i want to get you better, as well. truly, i do.”
tamaki relaxed his shoulders and placed a hand against his chest in an effort to calm his rapidly beating heart. you looked heavenly under the lights of the effiel tower with your new dress and your pearly white smile. he just wanted to kiss your damn face already.
“tamaki.”
“yes, (f/n)?”
“here,” you pressed a kiss to his lips. tamaki’s eyes widened for a moment before he closed them, allowing himself to get lost in the kiss. your lips tasted like the croissant you had earlier that day. tamaki could kiss you forever.
“let’s get to know one another better before a second date, okay?”
tamaki was more than fine with that.
one day, he’ll be yours.

SUMMARY
Liyah, a seventeen black teenager in 2021 is much stress as it is, on a verge of a mid-life crisis she decides to visit Japan for the summer which brings more stress when she decide to visit a shrine on culture day.
Tumblr media
fanfic song
"Liyah!!! get your behind up your gonna miss your flight! " she heard her mom yell from outside her door, groaning liyah rolls over in her bed looking at the lock that was on her dresser.
[8:30]
It read, FUCK! she only had an hour to get ready and to make her flight. Dragging herself out the bed liyah gets dress in haste, but slows down enough to put her locs into a cute style. Liyah practically sprints out the room with her luggage almost knocking down her little sister Mia who throws a cruse at her.
"Little girl stop running through my house! " her mom says as she pulls out money for the taxi outside that would take her to her destination. Liyah hugs and thanks her mother for the money.
"Be safe and call me once you step foot on Japan soil Lia" her mom tells her.
" I will ma"
Japan was beautiful, it was like liyah stepped into another world people moved in tandem to their individual destination. Even though is was summer the Sakura trees were in full bloom it was wonderful. She would definitely take pictures for a mom to see later on.
Checking the events on the tourist guide, there was a cultural festival going on in a few days she would be definitely going to that, liyah loved learning about different cultures. For the meanwhile liyah would head to the train station which would take her to akakusa where her host family lived.
Liyah learned that Akakusa is where the festival would be held at the Sensoji temple which was close to Okutama, which had great mountain trails for hiking she couldn't wait for that.
Since her train didn't leave until about an hour liyah decides to take some pictures to send to her mom and friends back home and in the spur of the moment she decides to enter a hair salon
"Hello how may we help you today? " one of the employee asked in perfect english. Liyah smiles and looks around the shop it was too busy and she had more than enough time to get what came here to do.
"Hi coming in for a color change" liya says in Japanese which causes the employees around her to smile in shook. Yeah she knew some Japanese enough to communicate effectively.
"Why yes let's see what we can do for you "
"HUUUH your hair wasn't blonde in the pics liyah" asumi says as she slides open the door her. Liyah laughs and twists a loc around her finger.
"You like? I wanted to try something different, I was bored of the same ole locs ya know" liyah says rolling her suitcase into the corner of the walk way as she toes out her shoes.
"It's suits you, but everything suits you" asumi laughs as she guides liyah deeper in the modern Japanese styled home. Asumi was tall with milky pale skin which contrasted with liyahs milk chocolate skin tone. Asumi had choppy bangs with a wolfcut totally cute.
" mom lia is here!" Asumi yells down the hallway which causes her mother, kimiko poke her head around the corner of the kitchen which a frying pan and glare on face. Seeing liyah kimiko perks up and ushers them both to the kitchen.
"Hello love how was your flight and the train ride" kimiko asks giving liyah a bear hug while the pan was still in her hand.
"It went well, took some pictures for mom before coming here the Sakura trees are pretty this year. " liyah states taking a seat on the stool by the counter.
"Well that's great and I'm loving the hair lia it's every beautiful. " kimiko says putting the pan down. Asumi nods in agreement and goes to grab liyah's things and take them up stairs.
"Takeru will be here any moment now then we'll began dinner. " kimiko states. Takeru is asumi's father and of course kimiko's husband, he worked near by at the market selling goods from the small farm they had in western Okutama.
Asumi and liyah watches the news as kimiko gets dinner ready.
" for the couple of days there will be light showers and on Cultural day watch out for the showing of the red full moon"
"Red full moon? " liyah askes
"Around this time close to the festival there are always light showers and finally a full moon on cultural day" kimiko explains wiping her hands with a dry cloth.
"Yeah and father says the red full moon is actually the blood of the mighty demon muzen or so he says" asumi shrugs looking at liyah to Guage her reaction. Which liyah is confused and doesn't believe any of it.
"Takeru says during this time we pay the tanjiro thanks for slaying the demon and saving Japan from his terror. " kimiko adds
'Aren't all these myths though?" Liyah asks
"Pretty much, though tanjiro is real, well was since he's dead but don't know if the muzen part is factual. " asumi says.
"The sword of tanjiro is at the temple matter of fact"
Liyah was knew the demon part couldn't have been real but she wanted to the history behind this sword and it's swordsman.
The sound of the keys jingling and the opening, was loud in the quietness of the takeugawa home , Mr. Takeru was home. Asumi had a big smile on her face like she was some 11 year old as her father stepped foot into kitchen.
"Papa how was the market? " asumi says hugging him then grabbing his lunch bento to hand to her mother.
"It went well the cabbages sold alot today" he states taking a seat and the head of the table.
"That's great honey" kimiko says as places his food in front of him.
"Hey lia almost didn't recognize you with that hair color! " takeru says laughing.
"Hmm maybe that's a good thing it was time for a change " said liyah. Asumi nods her head in agreement and takes a seat at the table with her mother.
"We were just telling Lia about tanjiro and the demon muzen" kimiko tells her husband.
"Ahh so you wanna know the tale of man who saved us all " takeru asks with a tiny smirk on his face.
Liyah blinks and looks around she felt a eerily chill run down her spine this was definitely her ancestors telling to back out of this conversation. But liyah wanted to hear so she nods her head.
" there once was a boy named tanjiro... "

Iwaizumi Hajime x fem!reader
Summary: A summer after graduation finds Iwaizumi Hajime halfway across the globe, sitting in a lecture hall and staring at a golden dome that reminds him of the world and his place in it. Or, the lack thereof.
Genre: Slight angst to fluff. Character introspection, self discovery!
Word count: 4.4k
Warnings: none.
A/N: Guess who’s crying  Okay, so I got inspired by this tik tok, check it out, show the artist some love, and adding to another idea I had this came up, I hope you guys like it!  ALSO, that beautiful summary was suggested by @meliorist-midoriya !!! Repost from my old blog, this is on my favorite fics ever written hehe
Tumblr media
There is something distinctive about the traces left by people in the places they inhabited. Whether intentional or not, to enter a house that was once occupied is to step into an unknown life, where all that remains are the lines drawn on the wall frames, with random dates, leaving a record of someone’s growth.
A part of the wall with a lighter color, where photographs once hung and the trace of old drawings on the wall could be seen even if you paid close attention. Seeing the home you had lived in for years empty, lifeless or without its distinctive smell caused an ache in your chest that you couldn’t describe, how was that atmosphere created again, with spotless walls, perfect floors and the lack of human warmth?
You weren’t afraid of living alone, you were afraid of having a lonely life.
It was frightening to think that the apartment you had just bought might feel like it was inhabited by a ghost, with no trace that anyone had ever been there. One way or another you wanted to make that space, with only two rooms and one bathroom, feel like your home, even if it was just you, even if you would only live there for a few months.
So, amidst the worry about establishing a home and hundreds of paperwork, came the first day of college, one more step to adapt to, the breaking of a routine you had just begun to create.
There was no better way to start that school year than by being on time, so, at least for the first week, you tried to be there early enough. It gave you time to get through the school buildings, and to finish your coffee just before the first class started.
Thursday arrived, with the first class being Medieval Art, not usually a subject that caught the attention of many, so it was common to see empty seats. Still, as usual, you were planning on choosing the seat right next to the window, where the sunlight illuminated your notes, but that day, it seemed that someone already occupied that place.
You sat next to him, there was no reason not to share the table, didn’t pay attention to him, it seemed that the boy was taking a nap a few minutes before class, probably he had a class before that one, or he was just tired. The teacher settled into her seat, and you glanced sideways, only to see that the boy was still asleep, not moving.
“One day, the architect, Frank Gehry said: architecture should speak of its time and place, but yearn for timelessness” she began, while behind her appeared the image of a building you had heard too much about. “I think one of the best representations of this is Hagia Sofia” she continued, showing the image of that beautiful golden dome behind her, she kept talking.
As the guy next to you opened his eyes, sleepily he took a deep breath, concentrating on the image in front of him, with some concern he took the supplies from his backpack to take notes for the class, he seemed lost, confused and, in general, tired, like he was there by mistake, or, against his will.
Iwaizumi was not usually like this. Before moving to the United States, he had never been late for a class, he was the type of person who kept everything in order, always punctual, with notes in order and an impeccable grade. A role model in every sense of the word, student, athlete and perfect son.
But as soon as he arrived from his flight, tired to the bone and affected by jet lag, he slept as much as he could, only to wake up in the early morning, stunned by the different time zone he could not fall asleep at the right time, he still couldn’t get used to the food offered there, and he was unable to find the ingredients he would commonly use in Miyagi to eat.
People drove on the left seat, and the road was on the right side, they used to eat on the street without any concern, or on the way to their jobs and schools, nor did there seem to be manners in public transportation, at least no the ones he knew. There were words that confused him, and the symbols on the streets made his head spin.
People did not have the same habits he knew, and he noticed that after only a couple of days after moving in. By the time school started, Iwaizum was still trying to sleep at the time he was used to and didn’t make it until two or three in the morning, so, it resulted in waking up late and sleeping in between classes, he still wasn’t used to having his notes in English, so his handwriting looked weird, the teachers spoke too fast for him to understand, therefore, his notes were all over the place
Not to mention how unpunctual they were, he found himself a couple of times arriving late to class, only to find out that the teacher wasn’t there, and that it would probably take them twenty minutes more to arrive, and sometimes, they would cancel the class when you were already there, just because.
Even in the classes he looked forward the most, he found himself tired, bored, easily distracted, and he expected the same from this one, a subject he had taken only to complete his units. But, when he opened his eyes, he swore he had never seen anything as beautiful as that. A gorgeous dome of gleaming gold, with light streaming in through the windows and the distinctive marks of history on its walls.
It took him a few seconds to listen to the professor properly, as he was still impressed with what he saw on the projector, there was nothing that did not interest him, from the columns to that painting of the Virgin Mary, an impeccable marble floor, and, the mixture of both religions on its walls was perhaps what left him most curious of all that he had seen.
There was nothing like that in Japan, or at least not that he remembered. Byzantine architecture had that distinctive feature in which it left you mesmerized for a moment, he was so enraptured by it that he didn’t notice that there was someone sitting next to him, taking notes of the things the teacher was saying, with a slightly frown, concentrating, and different pens scattered around the table. The teacher continued talking, still detailing how a building created almost fifteen hundred years ago remained one of the finest constructions in human history.
Hagia Sofia, she read from the blackboard. He wrote down the title in a slightly disorganized way, along with the rest of the words on the board.
Hagia Sofia, meaning: holy wisdom. Constantinople, now Istanbul.
“Long before what we now know, the Byzantine Empire took place in what is now Istanbul, the capital of this empire is perhaps one of the most important historical and architectural sites of the Medieval Era, this was the largest known church  for about a thousand years. It has been used as a church, a mosque and now serves as a museum.” She explained, showing the various images of the building. ”There were two later constructions after this, one destroyed in a fire and the second in the Niká riots, then, in the year 532 construction began on what we now know as Hagia Sofia.“
"Wow” Iwazumi sighed, absently sketching the shape of the building.
“I won’t tell you much about this building, at least not for now,” said the teacher, pausing for a moment to look at the picture. “I want an essay on this topic, and I would like you to gather in pairs for it.” she asked them. “I just want your opinions and analysis on the things that are most important to you about the place and what you think is meant to be represented by these, either imagery or architecture. Your partner will be the person who is closest to you, starting with the two of you, at the bottom.”
You looked at Iwaizumi out of the corner of your eye, having to work with people you didn’t know was always a problem, but, you hoped it wouldn’t be like that this time. He also looked at you, a little relieved thinking that you would surely know something about Medieval Architecture, not like him, who felt totally lost in that new subject. Even so, he returned his gaze to the front, memorizing every detail of that dome in his mind.
The class continued, with the teacher talking about historical processes in the fifth century and the topics that would be taken throughout the course, Hajime could not help but see the excitement that certain topics caused you, especially with the mention of some gothic buildings. And so, in the blink of an eye, the class was over, and before he realized it, you were already grabbing your things to leave.
“My next class is Historical Theory, what’s yours? We can organize on the way” you said, looking at him for a second while you closed your backpack. Iwaizumi tried to put his belongings away as quickly as possible, but failed a bit with his clumsy movements. “What’s your major?"
"Oh, Sports Science,” he replied. Your reaction was as expected: confusion, what was a sports science major doing in a medieval art class? “All the other classes were busy and I needed some extra units.”
“Oh, I see” you nodded, walking out of the classroom with him walking beside you.
“What’s your major?” he asked, feeling somewhat embarrassed that he hadn’t asked that before.
“Art History” you replied, with a smile. “By the way, my name is y/n” you said, extending your hand, he received it, still not used to the way people introduced themselves there, but little by little he was starting to adjust to it.
“Iwaizumi Hajime” he cleared his throat, here they speak by first names, not last names, you idiot, he said to himself in his mind. “Hajime.”
“So, Hajime, you didn’t organize your classes on time, you take naps before class, and you don’t know anything about Medieval Art” you jokingly commented. “We have quite a bit to learn, don’t you think?”
“Uh… y-yes” he nodded, stopping when you did, not even realizing how far he had walked. “I won’t let you do all the work, if that’s what you’re worried about” he assured, it seemed they were in front of the door to your next class the moment you stopped and looked at the door, Iwaizumi didn’t want to take up your time, but he had no idea what to say either.
“Well, how about we meet in the library later this week? You can give me your number so we can schedule the day” you hoped the professor wouldn’t come to the classroom while you were talking to  Iwaizumi, as he seemed like a very nice person, despite how nervous he was.
“Sure, I have the whole afternoon off tomorrow, is that okay?” you nodded, extending your phone to him so he could write down his number and name, to your luck, he returned it just in time.
“Sounds perfect to me, I’ll text you as soon as my class is over” you said, saying goodbye and entering just before the teacher, who closed the door behind himself.
Iwaizumi stared at the door for a few seconds, letting out a sigh, then, he walked to his next class. It felt awfully strange to walk around campus alone, with no one by his side. Maybe he had gotten too used to spending his free time with the rest of his friends in highschool, and, at times like these, where he was waiting for a message from a cute girl, he couldn’t help but think about how much he missed them.
He was alone, and that was terrifying.
Tumblr media
Iwaizumi looked at his phone for the third time in an hour, the class, food chemistry, was just short of making him fall asleep, yet he couldn’t help but look at his phone and wonder at what point the cute girl in the Medieval Art class would send him a message.
She didn’t until almost four hours later, just as Iwaizumi had recently returned to his apartment and was working on a long assignment for the rest of the week. Ignoring the sound of a message at first, thinking it was probably Oikawa bugging him about some new thing he learned in Argentina, so, he didn’t look at his phone until a couple of minutes later, when a second message came through.
“Hi! Sorry I didn’t talk to you sooner, I’ve been a little busy, but this is my number!”
“My last class ends at 2:00 p.m., do you mind if I meet you at that time in the library?”
He answered almost immediately, regretting later for doing it so quickly, you look like a desperate idiot, he thought. To his luck, as soon as he locked the phone, the screen lit up again with the reply.
It seemed that after that things flowed perfectly, even though before he met her they would have seemed like inconveniences to him, now they looked as an opportunity. The professor for tomorrow’s class informed them that he was out of town, so his classes would start until the following week, which gave Iwaizumi a chance to continue with his homework calmly, and, to get ready to see the pretty girl the next day, maybe even sleep properly that night.
However, nothing went as he planned.
Again, he found himself staring at the ceiling at midnight, without any possibility of being able to fall asleep, no matter how hard he tried, nothing seemed to work. That wasn’t his bed, nor his sheets or his favorite pillow, it wasn’t his wall or the window overlooking his backyard. As he stared at the empty, flat ceiling, he wondered why he couldn’t at least see a golden dome so he would have something to think about while he tried to sleep.
And so he woke up quite late, much later than he was used to. Maybe his body took the opportunity to recover all his lost energy, he had no idea. The only thing he knew was that he woke up thirty minutes before the agreed time with the pretty girl, and, it took fifteen minutes to get to the library from where he was.
He sent as many messages as he could while getting dressed and trying to look as presentable as possible. At least it wasn’t strange to see people running around campus, although it was in the first few weeks of school, where no one was really worried about anything.
“I told you I could wait a while” you mentioned, Iwaizumi was standing in front of her, trying to control his breathing, visibly agitated for having run all the way to the library. “Tell me you at least ate something” you murmured, in a way to accept his apology, then he sat on the free seat in front of you, trying to avoid that questioning.
“I can eat something later, sorry I was late” he apologized, again, he expected you to be upset, but you weren’t, instead, the first thing he saw was a reassuring smile, you hadn’t been more than ten minutes late, so, there was really no problem. “Again, I’m sorry, I was…”
“You don’t have to apologize, Iwaizumi. You were only ten minutes late, I’ve known people who take an hour to show up” the boy looked at the table for the first time, it was almost like the mess she had in yesterday’s class, only now it had several open books around it. “My class ended early so I went ahead to research an assignment I had, don’t you want to go get something to eat before we start?”
“I’d rather do this and then I can eat something, I wouldn’t want to waste your time even more” he replied, it was too obvious that he still didn’t quite master English, or maybe he did but he was quite embarrassed about how it was that he pronounced things. “I’ve never had this happen to me before, I’m sorry, I’m not usually like this.”
“How many times do I have to tell you it’s okay? Seriously, but why are you late? If you say it doesn’t usually happen to you” Iwaizumi looked towards the window with a frown, he felt like he would spend an embarrassment for that, because, sleeping late was not a good excuse, actually, nothing was a good excuse for his lateness, but still, he sighed. “Don’t tell me you’re coming in with a hangover?”
“No, no, not at all. It’s just… I’m still not used to the time change here and I’m used to sleeping at a totally different time” he said, though there was more to it.
The insomnia was only a collateral result of how he felt, and perhaps what kept him most irritable. Perhaps he had chosen that change too quickly, or the feeling was probably something that would fade with time. But he couldn’t help but feel like he wasn’t quite connected to reality, like he was living a strange dream. The routine he had worked on for years that kept him safe was gone, and was now out of his reach.
He missed going out every Tuesday for lunch with Oikawa, Makki and Mattsun. He missed walking to school and greeting his neighbors, or the way Oikawa’s older sister squeezed his cheeks, even though he said how much he detested it, he missed the karaoke he went to once a month and his mother’s food, hell, he even missed Oikawa’s obnoxious nephew.
“So, where are you from? Moving is hard enough, I can’t imagine doing it from another country” he looked at her, realizing she was genuinely concerned and curious, she meant it. The sincerity brought him calm, enough to say what he felt.
“Japan, I just got here a couple of weeks ago, I still don’t understand much and my English isn’t the best so I’m not having the best time” he pointed out, as he picked up his notebook, watching as she jotted something down on the computer, adding a document to start the essay. “Not to be rude, but your culture is really weird.”
“You don’t have to tell me, it is. But you end up getting used to it, don’t you? I find people’s behavior patterns depending on their culture interesting” Iwaizumi hadn’t even noticed that there was already a book on Byzantine architecture on the table, which showed a picture of Hagia Sophia from the outside. “Besides, it’s normal to miss your hometown, don’t you think, what did you most like to do there?”
“Playing volleyball with my friends” he answered without hesitation, for it was true. He missed every detail of it, from the practices, to the coach yelling at his teammates to the games, even the ones he lost.
“Oh, were they on a team together?” she put the computer aside, devoting her full attention to him. Iwaizumi nodded, ready to talk about all the amazing things his team had. “Were you guys good?”
“Well, yes. At least within reason, we were. We never made it to nationals, but within our prefecture we were very good” he nodded, still feeling the bitter taste of defeat on the tip of his tongue as if it had happened yesterday, his last chance to go to nationals ended before it even started.
“And what position did you play?” he questioned, Iwaizumi picked up the book on the table solely to have something to distract himself with.
“Uh, wing spiker. I was the ‘ace’ of the school, but of course, I couldn’t be any of it without Oikawa."
"Oikawa?”
The conversation did not stop since then, between readings, corrections and stories about his high school, Iwaizumi did not even realize that almost three hours had passed, three hours in which he could not believe what he saw in images, despite all the fear he had, all the nostalgia that accumulated inside him, seeing that building in Constantinople brought him a peace that he could not manage to understand, no matter how much he wondered what was going on.
Although it didn’t compare to how the pretty girl explained things, he should probably stop referring to her as the pretty girl and start calling her by her name, as he ended up forgetting it, and every time she said his name, he blamed himself for not remembering hers. He learned everything he wanted to know in one afternoon, thanks to her, the semi domes, the atrium, every detail, structural and artistic there, he memorized it with her voice, melodious, calm, safe.
After making a couple of questions, he lost his fear of asking what he was seeing, because, as she told him, “no one knows everything, there will always be someone who knows something you don’t”. So, he ended up engaged in a conversation about the wonders of medieval architecture and no more than ten minutes later, the conversation drifted to the karaoke that his friends loved, or the park where he and Oikawa learned to play volleyball.
Life at the university became more bearable thanks to her, Iwaizumi heard the story of how she had just moved out of her parents’ house, how they also moved out of their house and the pain it caused her to leave the home she loved empty. She enjoyed knitting, watching movies and listening to new music all the time. In a couple of weeks, he discovered her favorite food, and the kind of clothes she liked best, the movies that made her cry and the ones that made her die laughing, and with each thing he learned, she asked him the same questions. Even though he wasn’t entirely sure how he was supposed to answer, or what people used to say, it made him wonder if he seemed like a nice person or someone who would be interesting to spend time with.
Tuesdays of going out to eat became Tuesdays of organized movies in the dorms, once-a-month karaokes became visits to museums instead of his neighbors, now he was greeting his roommates every morning, now the cute girl in Medieval Art class was the one squeezing his cheeks, it seemed that, little by little, everything was starting to be as he knew it.
Or at least that’s what he thought
“But what do you like, Iwaizumi?” she asked him on a sunny afternoon where sunlight illuminated her room and there was a random movie on TV as the background noise, around her a lot of snacks and fried food, that’s what Saturdays were like, relaxed and sunny. “I almost feel like I know Oikawa like you do, but you don’t tell me much about yourself.”
“Huh?” he asked, doubtful, hadn’t he been talking about himself all that time, or had he only thought he was? “I don’t know what you want to know about me.”
“I want to know who you are, beyond all your friends and the people in your life.I know what Oikawa likes and how many fans he had or the perfect settings he did, but I want to know about you.” she told him.
She didn’t know if it was because the girl was an art enthusiast, or if she just hadn’t met someone who wanted to know more about him for her own pleasure, for what she felt was inexplicable.
“Well, well… with my team” he began, stopping the moment he saw the look on the girl’s face, who could only thus make him feel as if he were a scolded child. He sighed, running his hand through his hair, confused as to what it was he should say.
“Who are you, Iwaizumi, what do you like, what song do you like the most? I don’t want to know about other people, I want to know about you, about what makes you who you are.” She began, the moment only seemed more special with the way the sun was shining on her skin and her smile seemed to shine even brighter than it always did. “I know you’re a good teammate, a good son, a good friend, but who are you, what are the qualities that you have?”
He looked into her eyes, how many times hadn’t he stopped to look into those beautiful eyes that stole his breath, or those lips that said the cutest yet most painful things?“
"Iwaizumi. I want you to tell me the story that you have, like Hagia Sophia, do you remember all the marks that it has? the mix of everything that lies in you? There is so much history in who you are beyond your friends, I want to know if you are happy or if you like ice cream, how you react to things. I hope you understand me, it’s okay to like things that your friends do or showed you, but I don’t think it should be all that you are, so, who are you?”
Still not taking his eyes off her, he remembered every detail of the building he studied for weeks, the religious motifs and art on its walls, the history even in the broken parts of the floor, or those portions where the paint was completely gone. And, with tears in his eyes, he replied:
“I don’t know.” He murmured, his voice trembling.
And he really didn’t know, he had lived so long being a friend, son, teammate and neighbor that, little by little, without realizing it, he stopped prioritizing the things that to him and only to him made him happy.
“Well, there’s only one thing to do about it” she murmured in the same way, very close to him as if she were telling him a secret. “Find out who you are.”
And just like that, the first picture of the two of you decorated your wall, along with some paint smudges from a sunny afternoon, a canvas, and some brushes, and a volleyball mark at first. Two wrongs can make a right, your mother would say. You, in search of rebuilding your space, and he, in search of himself.
You couldn’t have picked a better time than that, or a better life than that.

Her smile that time in Osaka is still imprinted in Yuta’s mind that it haunts him even in his dreams. It was winter in their last year of their teens when Yuta begged Y/N’s mom if she could spend the holidays in Osaka with his family. Of course, his parents were also behind this and promised that they’ll take care of Y/N. And even if he’s just remembering it now, he still can’t believe that her mom actually allowed her to go to another country.
His parents quickly greeted her when she came to the airport, asking if she had trouble during the flight but she smiled at them answering them in fluent Japanese that made him proud. She seemed so natural talking to them, even calling them okaasan and otousan like they’re one family. “Yuta!” she called excitedly, arms wide open to hug him which he accepted. His parents were just smiling at him knowingly. “Bogoshipda.”
Who wouldn’t? The last time he saw her was the day she left for Chicago. No, the day before that. Although he and his mom sent them off, he refused to look at her that time. "I missed you too." He whispered that made her smile widely. Something changed about her. Is it because they never saw each other for years? Or because his memory of her is stuck in the last time they were together? Is it because they already grew up? Maybe it's because of Chicago.
His family had been welcoming to her and they were equally amazed that Y/N can understand and speak Japanese. Since it's just days before New Year, their house is full of people but they made her feel like she is a part of the family. "You should bring her to Osaka Castle." One of his aunts claimed that made Yuta nod.
"Why not bring her to Universal Studios?" Another asked and Y/N just nodded, looking excited. Yuta put his phone on top of the table. "Otousan, can you drive us to Hirakata Park tomorrow?" He asked which made everyone look at him.
Y/N was so surprised seeing a Cardcaptor Sakura exhibition that she squealed in excitement at the entrance making Yuta smile. This feels like the Y/N he knows. They kept on looking at the different artworks related to the anime she liked since she was young, even staying too long at some merchandise. "Should I buy that? Sakura is really cute."
Yuta chuckled. "You can't even eat that." That made her glare at him, pouting. But Yuta remembered that merchandise, even telling himself that he’ll save up to buy that for her birthday.
She was really happy to eat in a café that is inspired by the same anime. She kept on taking pictures saying that she'll show them to her mom. "I knew you'll love it here."
"Can I just live here?"
He laughed once again. "You can ask my parents to adopt you."
Y/N wrapped her arms on Yuta's arm that made him freeze. What's with the sudden skinship? "Shall I call you oniichan?"
He smiled at her then frowned. "No."
It was almost nighttime when they reached Dohtonbori. Tons of pictures were taken and she kept on running around, claiming that everything in Japan is pretty. "It's prettier when there are cherry blossoms. You should go back in spring." But honestly, he just wanted her to stay here until Spring. Or maybe for a long time.
Should he ask his parents to adopt her? But he doesn't want him to call her imouto.
The lights illuminating the whole area looked magical. Why does he like it more today than when he's out here with his parents? Why does the light look more lovely today? The cold breeze made him pull his oversized coat closer. Why is it so cold? Glancing at her, he realized that she may be cold as well. Does Chicago have a cold season like this?
Knowing that she's focused on looking at those little trinkets by the store, he went to another store to buy something. Her mom will kill him if she gets sick in this weather. Besides, it's going to be busier this time of the year. "Y/N." He called that made her look at him. He put on a white scarf around her neck, wrapping it nicely on her. "My Christmas gift."
She had to laugh at that, raising a snow globe. "And I was thinking of buying one for you." She turned her attention to the different snow globes on the shelf. "You should pick one, Yuta."
But he never looked at the snow globes. Instead, his focus was on her. The lights illuminate her, creating a picturesque background. The white snow falling gently on her, adding to the effect. He badly wanted to imprint that image in his mind. When did she become this pretty? When she turned to him, he lightly gasped. Why did he feel hot all of a sudden? Why can he hear his heart beating on his chest?
Y/N shook the snow globe with the Osaka castle inside then handed it to him. "I'll get you this, onii chan." It annoyed him. Why does she like using that word?
The whole week was full of preparations for the New Year and his relatives had supplied her with the rituals they must do. She helped in making mochi with his grandmother who seemed so fond of her. Even his grandfather, who is usually a scary man, smiles a lot because of her. She really fit well in his family. But not as his sister.
When the clock struck midnight, he realized what it was. She was playing some sparklers with his cousins, laughing along with them. Her eyes twinkling the same way they did when she was staring at those snow globes. Taeyong was right all along. He is in love with her.
Kareshi. It's a better term than oniisan. Something that he wanted her to call him right now. "Y/N, I…" But a ringtone stopped his words, someone was calling. "It must be your mom, you should pick up." The girl nodded, handing her sparkler to Yuta before heading inside the house.
God, what is wrong with him? Is he really going to confess to her? He must be out of his mind. Yuta just finished the stick of sparkler before heading inside to check on her. She was seated on the couch, smiling on her phone. "They are all so nice to me, eomma." She then smiled when she noticed Yuta. "We're going to the temple tomorrow with obaasan." Hatsumonde. It's a Japanese ritual that they had done since he was young and since she's here, his grandmother wanted her to experience visiting a shrine. "You want to talk to Yuta?"
The guy just shook his head, sitting next to her, but she pushed the phone to her which he reluctantly answered. "Eommeoni, annyeong." She sounded so happy talking to him on the phone but again his focus was on the door next to him who was playing the kendama, a Japanese ball and cup toy. "Please take care of Y/N." And even if she doesn't say those words, he knows he'll take care of her.
When she dropped the call, Yuta saw her phone wallpaper. A guy playing basketball. It looks like a photo taken. Is she dating someone? Did she mention anything about a guy in her letters? Is that why she's prettier? Is she in love?
The question was answered when they visited the shrine the next day. She is indeed prettier especially when she wore a kimono that his cousin let her borrow, little trinkets adored her hair. She looked like a native Japanese. A yome. But he shook his head. He can't be thinking of that.
They were getting their omikuji, him and her with another set of female and male cousins that are older than the two of them. When Y/N pulled her paper strip, his female cousin shook her head. "You'll probably get pregnant this year." She claimed that startled her. "Are you dating someone?" Y/N nodded.
"You two are already dating?" His male cousin asked, referring to her and Yuta. She shook her head saying that he's a schoolmate from Chicago. So he's really seeing the guy on her phone wallpaper. When Yuta opened his paper strip, his cousin just tapped his back. "You should have confessed earlier." But he just stared at the bad luck written on his paper.
His second regret. Why did it take a long time for him to realize these feelings?
It was Yuta's Summer Break when his parents gave him the airplane tickets to Chicago that surprised him. They had talked to Y/N and her mom that he's visiting. And although he doesn't want to go there, he was forced by his family. "You should at least tell her that you like her. Maybe it can change something."
The city was different and he felt really foreign, different than when he first came to Korea. "Yuta!" Y/N called, running to where he is and quickly hugging him. What is this girl doing? In front of all these people? "I skipped class to pick you up. Why can't you hug me?" He raised an eyebrow at her. Why is she so bold? Chicago is indeed different. Yeokshi Chicago.
He jokingly crushed her on his arms but she didn't laugh, which is odd. He felt her breathing on his neck, hot and hard. "I missed you, Yuta." It felt different. Maybe because they're in Chicago. He didn't pay that much attention to that especially when she introduced a guy named Johnny Seo. The person on her wallpaper. The guy she's dating.
Johnny is a really nice guy. He showed him what Chicago is while waiting for her to finish her classes. He made an effort to talk to him in Korean or English, sometimes in Japanese that he heard from her. He shared stories about her, the Y/N Yuta doesn't personally know. He knew what to order for her in coffee shops, even at restaurants. He speaks to her calmly, staring at her as if she's the only person who mattered in the world. And he knew, she's in the right place with Johnny.
It was Saturday when Johnny and Y/N brought him to The Bean. The weather was hot and there were a lot of people because of the weekend but Yuta didn't care. "You haven't been to Chicago if you didn’t visit this place." Johnny claimed that made the girl nod. They took tons of pictures, Y/N teasing that he needed to show it to his cousins.
Johnny offered to get them coffee, leaving the two of them in the park while still taking pictures. "Johnny is pretty nice." Yuta started that made her smile, nodding at him. "You never mentioned him in your letters."
"I don't know what to tell you." She answered quietly. "But I like him. So much." He wanted to stop her that moment, wanted her to not continue what she's saying or it will just hurt him. "He helped me a lot to quickly adapt here."
A bitter smile escaped his lips. The same way she helped him back in Korea. How dare she fall in love with another guy that way? But when Johnny came with their coffees at hand, he saw the twinkle in her eyes. The twinkle that made his heart flutter. She really does love Johnny. And who is he to take that twinkle away? Who is he to tell her what she can and can't do? He's just her friend. A very dear friend.
He drank his coffee watching as how the taller guy fixed her hair, smiling at her with a lot of love in his eyes. Bittersweet. That was what it was. It's hurtful yet romantic. And he can't believe that he will always remember Chicago with those feelings. Yeoksi Chicago.
Johnny loves Y/N. He's sure of that. And he honestly doesn't want to believe that it didn't work well with them. What really happened? Did she give up? Or is he the one who gave up? That was the question in his mind seeing Johnny in front of the two kids' school. He can still remember him but does Johnny even remember him?
Yuta can see the two kids going outside the gates and honestly, he was scared that they'll run to their dad. He shouldn't have come here today. Why did he even come here? "Daddy!" He heard Jae call running to his dad. Of course, he must have missed him so much that the younger guy even called him 'appa' last time. But he noticed Cherry stopping on her tracks.
She noticed him but he only smiled at her, planning to just go. He was about to enter his car when he heard the younger girl say, "Can I hang out with Yuta samchon?" That was when Johnny noticed him, Jae even waved at him excitedly. "He promised me that we'll go back to the library when he gets back from Spain." He did promise her. But her dad is here. Isn't she excited to see him again?
"Is it alright if Cherry goes with you?" Yuta nodded. He wanted to hang out with them anyways. "I'll just tell Y/N." Cherry just walked chicly to him, her eyes as dark as when he first met her. Why is she like this? Does she not like Johnny? Jae told Yuta that he wanted to hang out with his dad, even telling him to take care of his noona that he found so adorable.
Yuta bid farewell to the father-son, opening the backseat door for the younger girl. Cherry was just looking at her shoes when Yuta entered the car, starting the engine to drive her to the library she loved. "Samchon…" she called which made him look at her from the mirror of the car, humming as a response. "Can you buy me a cake today?"
It was a request he can't say no. This was the first time that Cherry asked him for something and he's somehow glad that it is just a simple thing. He parked in front of a pretty café, helping her get down from the car, and even opened the door for her. "You can order whatever you want." He urged, eyeing all the selections of different flavored cakes.
The girl pointed at a white cake with red cherries on top, making Yuta smile. A cherry cake. "Can you buy me the whole cake?" The guy just nodded. It's not bad to spoil her once in a while. He told the girl on the counter their order, handing him his card when she made another request, "Do you have candles?" Candles? Is it her birthday? Is that why Johnny is here in Korea?
He let the younger girl put candles in between the cherries of her cake. "Is it your birthday today?" He asked and she nodded casually that startled him. Why are they together? She should be with her parents. "Don't you want to share the cake with your brother?"
Cherry shook her head. "I always share everything with him. He and eomma never liked cherries anyways." He pursed his lips at that, she does hate cherries. Ironically, she named her firstborn with something that she didn't like. "And dad hates cherry." She was staring at the cake while saying those words in a hushed tone. Is she referring to the fruit or another thing? "Can you light it up, samchon?" Her eyes were moist, sparkling against the light, like she wanted to cry.
He held the top of her head, smiling. "Wait up. I'll just go get something." He said then stood up. "Stay here and wait for me. I won't be long." But she only stared at him in worry. Yuta handed her his phone, promising that he'll be back quickly. He crossed the street to get her some flowers then cursed himself for not knowing what color she wanted. Does she even like flowers?
To be safe, he followed the florist's advice in getting a white rose for 'his daughter'. There was a new expression on Cherry's face when he handed her the single white flower, an emotion he hasn't seen from her before. "Girls should receive at least a flower on their birthday." He reasoned out then lit up all the candles on the cake. She whispered something on herself as a wish before blowing the candles one at a time.
Yuta took away the candles then started slicing the cake. He placed one slice on Cherry's plate, even topping it with cherries on top. It was the younger girl who gave him his slice of the vanilla cake. "Do you want to do anything else? Ice skating?"
"Can we just go ice skating with eomma and Jae some time?" He nodded. She always thinks about them. "I'll just finish the book in the library today."
It is her birthday yet she's silently reading a suspense book while seated on a bean couch. Yuta just bought her some snacks and got a book to read so he wouldn't get bored. He would smile at her little gasps and remembered how Y/N would be like that while reading manga. Cherry is indeed a splitting image of her. It's crazy.
"Samchon," Cherry called, closing the hardbound book she was reading earlier. Is she done? That fast? "When you were young, what do you want to be when you grow up?"
He chuckled at that question. She is still a kid. "I want to be a soccer player."
"How about mom?"
Yuta glanced at her. "She wanted to be an illustrator." He remembered how good her drawings are and even pursue that passion until her college years. "But you know, your mom suddenly wrote to me one day and said that she wanted to be a mom."
"Can dreams change?" Cherry asked innocently. There's a certain air of maturity in the little girl that Yuta always forgets that she's just a kid. Now, she looks like a little girl who wonders about life.
Yuta nodded at the question. "What do you want to be when you grow up, Cherry?"
"A detective." That's a nice dream. Maybe that's why she likes reading all these Agatha Christie books. "When I become a detective, I will help children find their dads." That sparked his curiosity. What? "I wanted to find my dad."
"Johnny is your dad."
"He's not." She exclaimed which made Yuta wide-eyed. "Eomma got pregnant with me even before she married dad. She had Jae because she wanted to save her and dad's marriage." That was some wild accusations from a child.
Yet, it seemed rather logical.
It was a mystery to him why Johnny and Y/N broke up when he saw how much they liked each other. They had two children, isn't that enough reason to stay together? He remembered all the conversations with Cherry about her dad, how sad her reaction is, and how quiet her voice is when talking about him. The image of the younger girl who looked awkward seeing her dad flashed on his mind. She's wary of him. Not scared, not angry. She just doesn't look like someone who knew what she should do with her dad. She looked like she doesn't belong.
But then again, maybe it's just her.
Maybe he can help her. He can probably prove that Johnny is her dad. "Cherry, how old are you?"
"Eight."
'Seven years, turning eight' He can hear Y/N's voice in his mind saying those words. The same age as Cherry. The last time they saw each other was eight years. In Chicago. After that night.
"Samchon, do you know who my real dad is?"
Yuta gulped. He probably knows.
Fuck, he might just be Cherry's dad.
