gush post!!!!

soo guess who's back from their book break!..... I actually wasn't going to be back so sooon but someone suggested me a book and i read it which brings me back here because i could NOT for the life of me stop raving about it. THE RIGHT MOVE by liz tomforde gentleman is THE book for me fr. This book killed me. seriously i cannot tell you how bad i feel that i am late in reading this absolute gem. Ryan and Indy, god these ppl were THE BEST!!!!! i mean this was one of the most realistic portrayal of relationship i have ever read (screw me). I mean the small things that ryan did for the girl was gahhhh!!!!! like for instance learning sign language because indy's dad is deaf was soo heartwarming. His anxiety , her outgoing nature but at the same time understanding him and supporting him was soo good. It had it all- the angst , the domestic love, the party , the gala, tHE SPICE~~~~~!! so hands down this is in my top 10 list. Going to read the 1st and the 3rd one in the series!!

Okay, so this book ends and so does the whole series. And how I'm feeling currently?

Well, it's hard to explain. This book JUST messed with my head. And you want to know the funny part, I fucking loved it.

So, this goddamn man, Zade, and this Badass possessive woman Addie are the best characters I've ever seen. They'll be in my heart, for the rest of my life. I knew from the first that my heart is not strong when it comes to deep chaos, and I learned that very well in this book. I've never thought things will get that fucked up. I'm couldn't hold back my tears when I read the train scene. The way Zade wrapped his arms around Addie, was just outstanding!

Another thing, I never thought Addie would have to go through with the struggle and.......I actually never thought the author would let her feel the pain. But I really love H.D. Carlton for showing the true scenario of skin/ human trafficking. It hunts me every time I think about the hopelessness Addie felt in that house.

Other than that, Zade and Addie are meant to be. They are born just to stay together. And to be honest, in this book, my love for Addie is geared up. I need the same confidence as her.

And Zade. What can I say about this man! I know it sounds cliche, but he just get my standard to a whole new level. And im okay with it.

This book is so damn dark and triggered that some of the parts disturbed me. So, please read the TW at the very beginning of the book.

I'll miss them much.

I'm not ready to say goodbye yet. That's why sending them one last *tight hug* and *forehead kiss*.

This song hits me so damn much while reading this book.

✏️ Mon avis :

○ Basé sur la légende coréenne « Shim Cheong, la fille dévouée », Axie Oh s’approprie ce conte avec de grandes libertés, certes, mais qui en garde les bases. Je ne suis pas, à tort, une adepte de la littérature asiatique ou de ses mythes par manque de référence, pourtant ce n’est pas l’envie qui me manque pour la découvrir.

○ J’ai complétement craqué pour la couverture et ne parlons pas du titre. Il m’en faut peu pour succomber, j’avoue. Il me faudra quelques chapitres pour tomber sous le charme de la plume d’Axie Oh pour ne plus lâcher le roman. On retrouve les codes de la littérature féerique avec le sacrifice d’une jeune femme, l’amour, la passion, la dévotion, l’empathie. Mais l’autrice ajoute cette part de mystère avec une intrigue magnifiquement ficelée. Les mots créent rapidement un décor dont il est facile de s’imaginer et de s’approprier. Toute histoire n’en serait pas une s’il ne fallait pas déjouer les plans démoniaques d’une méchante déesse en manque d’amour et de reconnaissance. Les rebondissements s’enchainent pour une folle course contre la montre. Un texte à la forte symbolique où finalement l’empathie de l’héroïne est le moteur du récit sans oublier la petite touche de romance qui sera finalement la clef de l’intrigue. Je ne suis pas le genre à chercher une touche de moralité sous-jacente, je me suis simplement laissé porter par une histoire fougueuse et passionnante.

○ Une réécriture totalement réussie et portée par des personnages charismatiques et touchants. Intentionnellement, je ne vous parlerai pas davantage de l’intrigue et des personnages. Sachez que ce roman vaut le détour. L’univers est subjuguant et rempli de couleur au diapason avec les émotions qui s’en dégage.

This is how I imagined, Jade's uncle from my book Finding Hope. He owns his own handyman company, which Jade works at along with him. He is Jade's father figure in Finding Hope. He raised her after her parents died in a car accident when she was five, which makes her respect him greatly. However, everything isn't as it seems, which Jade finds out as the book progresses.
