That Saddam is still there.

And say, does that bedraggled banner yet wave

O’er the hordes of refugees in their unsafe enclave?

In 1991 after “winning” Operation Desert Storm, the American generals allowed Saddam Hussein to stay in power, gave him back his army, and even allowed Saddam’s military to keep helicopters fitted with machine guns. The U.S. then encouraged the Shi’ites to rise up and overthrow Saddam and that we’d help them, then the American troops were ordered not to interfere while Saddam’s troops massacred the Shi’ites.

ATOM BOMB

Easy to use.

Deadly to enemies.

A steady income for war profiteers.

Approved for countries we approve of.

Gives any nation international recognition and respect.

I see people elsewhere comment about how "polite disagreements are healthy to debate" but I just want to put my foot down on one thing.

Whether pineapple belongs on pizza is a debate, and someone saying they are not in favour of it is a disagreement. Whether trans rights are human rights is not a debate, and someone saying trans people should not have basic rights, even if they do so with all of the decorum and politeness in their words, is not a disagreement. It is violence.

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to my blog. To anyone who hasn't been on this page before, I'll give you a little insight into what it's all about.

The Moderate Republican Blog was created with the goal of sparking polite political discussions and allowing both liberals and conservatives to state their opinions or ask questions in a civil way. It is also created with the goal of having leftists ask questions about the right, as they are almost always portrayed unfairly or demonized by the media (though same could be said about both parties in certain instances).

The blog was also created with the intent of creating more of an understanding between the two parties.

And now, a little bit about me:

I'm a young republican truly only recently became a conservative within the past year. I was raised by mainly democratic parents and am hoping to both convince democrats to turn to the right and to listen to their opinions with an open-mind. I created this blog knowing that I have a much less biased opinion compare to those who stick to one political party, and in hopes that I and others would be able to learn even more about the political parties.

THE WAR RACKET

Every time a bomb is dropped, a Hellfire missile is launched, or a war is started, money flows into the bank accounts of the war profiteer racketeers such as Lockheed Martin or Boeing or General Dynamics. Now there’s talk of “upgrading” our nuclear arsenal. The politicians and SuperPACs are just the tools they use to hold on to their racket.

The ever-reliable politics of fear is their sales pitch.

A racket is a service that is fraudulently offered to solve a problem, such as for a problem that does not actually exist, that will not be put into effect, or that would not otherwise exist if the racket were not to exist. Conducting a racket is racketeering. Particularly, the potential problem may be caused by the same party that offers to solve it, although that fact may be concealed, with the specific intent to engender continual patronage for this party (Wikipedia definition).

The service that is fraudulently offered is that the war profiteers convince the public that a war is necessary to keep their country safe, such as from terrorist attacks, if military action is not taken in a foreign country. Instead of staying out of the war, the war is unnecessarily entered and fought, to no one’s benefit except the war profiteer racketeers.

Oh, what the hell, Florida.

Heyyy so I just looked at my spreadsheet of banned books and...

There are 1,402 BANNED BOOKS in the state of Florida ALONE.

To put that in perspective, on that very same spreadsheet, the number of banned books in California is: one (1).

If you guys have been following this (very new) blog and my posts, then you will know that the number of banned books in Colorado is: eight (8).

In Arkansas, it's four (4).

So. Just to reiterate, to repeat.

As of June 2023,

THE STATE OF FLORIDA HAS BANNED 1,402 BOOKS.

NEARLY HALF OF ALL BANNED BOOKS THIS YEAR, AND NEARLY THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF BANNED BOOKS IN 2022 IN TOTAL.

FLORIDA. HAS. BANNED. 1,402. BOOKS.

Please read banned books. Support libraries. Support authors. And please, please please please please, for the love of everything, stay safe. I love each and every one of you. Stay safe.
