Today was a really productive day in my opinion! I successfully completed all of my morning routine, and also got in a lot of studying done!

@studaxy and I started Duolingo as well!! I had started learning French way back in 2020 and I was able to read French way before choosing it as a language in school. I got back my language learning bug soooo wish me luck in that :3

Things I did today:

Thirty minutes of Duolingo

An hour of research for my English assignment. The topic of the assignment is "Performing Arts and the Freedom of Expression".

Two hours of physics — got some Module 3 reading done. Rotational motion is a vast concept but I'm pushing through somehow.

The Beckenstein bound for information storage-able-before-becoming-a-singularity-from-all-that-entropy of the human brain is like 10^56 ish terra bytes i guess, I mean my math guesses. Here's the fun part, if it were a super computer it's speed would be 100 tera FLOPS (100 trillion ish floating point operations per second) and assuming ALL its computations involve 2 bit sized data, it'd be like 200 trillion bits per second. That would be, yes, 25 TBs per second. An average human lives say 72 years, RENT math and we have 2 x 10^9 seconds to be alive. Or process or store or whatever. And we are left with a mere 50 x 10^9 TBs of information. HOWEVER, if this were a computer with a little more time to fck around, it'd still take 10^47 seconds, ie, 10^40 years to BECOME A BLACKHOLE FROM INFORMATION OVERLOAD.

+crying bc you've been working for 6 hours straight and school keeps sending more work

+crying bc exam went bad

+listening to 2000s hindi songs bc new songs are all just remixes with bad raps

+class at 7:30 am, but sleeping at 5 am

+buying the supplementary books but never using them

+online notes on random websites

+online practicals.

+searching for one question and finding solutions for entire textbook

+for all subjects

+for both years

+textbooks not having enough information so ending up in the wikipedia wormhole

+crying about the lack of STEM representation on social media then realising they probably have no time or are simply tasteless

+"engineering"

+your cousin having done better than you in science in 12th in general

+sleeping too much or too little

+sleeping with camera off bc attendence

+taking science only bc "more options"

+now suffering bc you do have a lot of options but your marks say no❤ to all of them

+being done with science all together

+the subject you had a choice to choose being completely ignored now

+reading the stories in the english textbooks once and scoring the personal highest in english

+the education board being just about as chaotic as you

+learning some of log table values, periodic table and constants before every exam and forgetting as soon as exam gets over

+having an exam every month and still being surprised at it

I don't know if you guys already know

You probably do but the app forest is honestly great! If you don't know it's a 'pomodoro', focusing app, you set the timer for 10-120 minutes and in that time you grow a tree - if you come off the app your tree dies.

Once the tree is grown it's added to your collection of trees in your forest! This way you're motivated by the fact you want to see your trees and forest grow, there are more features but that isn't something I'll be delving into. It does cost a little more than £1/$1 but I think is worth it.

Exams in 2 months! Classes are going at a faster rate than usual, and I realised I was slowly falling behind again.

I got in 3 hours 21 minutes of focus today, 40 minutes of which was spent in the uni library tackling calculus. A calculus rant under the cut!

Things I did today:

30 minutes of Duolingo

Continued with Physics module 4.

Exercise problems of differential calculus module 2.

So far what I understood about calculus is that it needs a lot of analysis. What I do is:

I first look at the problem, and see if I can simplify it (using trigonometric identities or theorems)

Then I recollect and write down the list of formulae that seem suitable for that problem.

Once I get an idea, I start working on the solution.

Since I'm pretty new to the subject, one problem takes almost thirty minutes for me to solve — and that's okay. I've set aside an hour for calculus everyday, so it gives me time to analyse one type of problem everyday. This way there is consistency, and I don't lose touch.

• --- HARDCORE WEEK — Day 5/15 --- •

Today was a really good day!! I finished syllabus of an entire major subject, and also got time to lie down and rest for a while. My jaw didn't cramp as much today while lying down, which is a win!

My homeopathic painkillers reduce my pain for half an hour, and they don't have side effects so I can repeatedly take them every hour. I'm still a little anxious in asking for accomodations without either beating around the bush or tearing up, but I'm working on it.

Manifesting more productive days in the future 🕯️

Okay. I finally got the courage to make a post about this so here we are.

Anyone who's kind of updated with my life — you might remember this post.

My mother contacted the online uni coordinator. She said that I can take my time to give the semester exams. I can give the exams whenever I want. The condition was to complete all 6 semester exams before 2027.

This means that I can take up Bachelor of Science again, but this time, in my own pace. Fibromyalgia still haunts me, but I don't have the pressure of the course anymore.

Which is? AMAZING because I get to do two degrees again like I always wanted!

Soon this blog is going to become a mathblr and a phyblr once again. I'm glad I got a second chance to pursue my dream despite being disabled.

A rant about my health and recent life updates:

I recently got diagnosed with fibromyalgia. My symptoms got worse and worse and I was unable to focus on anything. Over the course of my life I have give up many of my dreams because of my disability. And now I gave up another one — doing a second degree.

Some of you may know that I had been doing two undergrad courses but as my health became worse I had to drop Bachelor of Science. Now I'm only focus on my Computer Applications degree.

Internalized ableism is something I struggle with on a daily basis even after 6 years of fibro. It was so hard for me to convince myself that I am quitting because I cannot manage to do both with the limited energy I have, and not because I am lazy. It is hard to live life to the fullest with a disability, and grief is a big part of it. I was grieving myself and my lost health for so long, it took an even bigger toll on me and pain which had first increased, became even more worse. So I took some time off from social media and eveyrthing, to collect myself, reduce my anxiety and deal with my emotions correctly instead of putting on the mask of humour and other coping mechanisms to run away from my emotions.

So this studyblr is no longer a mathblr and phyblr. I'll only be studying computer applications and working on self-learning other programming fields. I'm going to miss physics terribly but, sometimes life isn't always sunshine and rainbows.

To all my fellow disabled people, you are valid and loved, and please don't give in to internalized ableism. You know what's best for your body. We've got this <3
