Headcanon - Power Levels + Family (sorta)

Okay, stay with me here.

What I've kinda drawn up currently isn't *the best* representation of what I'm trying to get across while also staying somewhat myth-accurate.

In my view, based on what admittedly is a miniscule amount of research I thought I'd put in a neat chart how Iview the power levels of Gods and within the game of Hades.

Based on what we know ofc. Things get a bit weird when it comes to Chaos and Chronos because Chronos (in myths) is supposed to have spawned Chaos, and chaos's...egg...no. No I don't know why.

Obviously you can go by your own rules, we can mismatch and switch it up however way we want but as a base line I thought I'd get a kinda view of succession and power. It's important to know that just because someone is "below" the other in the chart doesn't mean they are unable to still become stronger than those above them. I'm simply speaking on general birth-power as even Zeus needed his family's help and others to help take down the titans.

Each line might not be as *physically* stronger, but they do overthrow and gain power equal or above their previous ruler through plot, cunning, and other means.

Something I want to mainly point to is that I believe the Furies are very strong. I want to actually put them on the same level as the Incarnates and Chthonic Gods because they too are supposed to be as strong if not also as old as Aphrodite and the others. They were born alongside the other incarnates which were brought into existence as life flourished. I would not put them any lower than that when it comes to actual-canon and not game mechanics canon.

Realistically they'd be a lot stronger than what is shown in-game, plus Zagreus does get help (much like previous successors) to defeat them and when he has no help/buffs it is very difficult.

I do not believe Hecate and Cronus are "related" as if they come from the same parents, but simply they spawned from the same tier-power of entities that just don't have names and I don't really wanna name just in case something else proves me wrong.

The Fates, I put on the same level as Nyx despite how they are her daughters, because not even Nyx is really *fully* able to go against them. The Fates have dominion over nearly everything equal to or below their power.

Demeter could also be placed one above where she is as well, considering that she isn't directly related to any of those Gods and so we don't 100% know where she belongs, or at least I don't. I only put her on-par because of how Zeus calls her his "foster sister" implying they had some sort of kinship despite not being blood-related. Assumedly putting them around the same age-group and so power-levels if that makes sense. Also no I don't think her husband was as powerful as her, i just put that there so people know it's her and someone unrelated to the family she had persephone with.

I do go by the idea that Aphrodite is stronger than Zeus, as not even Zeus can resist his uh. Lust. To put it lightly, and so she holds more power over the Olympians than they will admit but she doesn't hold dominion over the primordial titans. I could see her being another direct spawn of Chaos as well, as Chaos does seem to Love Nyx as a parent does, but Aphrodite was born more from other kinds of love and lust and so that didn't come until later when the Primordial Titans actually started getting it on.

And all the ? marks are more for like, ambiguous "relations" because Chaos is an entity that doesn't really *claim* things as his creation. Since kinda *everything* is his? The only person we see he really does "Claim" as a direct relation is Nyx, but if we want to be technical he spawned everything.

In the hymn to Demeter, Artemis and Persephone were raised together and were super closed friends. Do you have any headcanons about them? Maybe throwing in Apollo too!

I often see them as the counterpart of Apollo-Hermes-Dionysus trio!

Athena tried to get them to develop a habit of reading poems, epics etc but Artemis and Persephone always prefer to spend their time sparring together, having running contests, hiking and other activities. Though, Persephone did eventually end up having a liking for more literature.

Persephone would absolutely weave flower crowns for them! Artemis isn't too skilled at that but she helps the most in picking the flowers, and always keeps an eye out for beautiful flowers during her hunt, so that she can take them back to Persephone :)

Given how Athena has invented a few agricultural implements, I believe she would have helped both Demeter and Persephone with farming sometimes.

I think Athena often hangs out with the Muses and Apollo on Mount Parnassus, so I can definitely see Artemis and Persephone going there too. Artemis is someone who is shown to love dancing, so she would definitely enjoy the company. Spring time would be especially lively for them. But more often, it's just the three of them hanging out together, really. The dynamics would change for a while following Persephone's abduction I think, but they'd eventually find their way back to each other.

😂, I can imagine how that’d go. It’d probably be with a Human MC as I think that dynamic would be so sweet with The Siblings as a whole.

Like Cienna with a Secretary MC that she gets closer and closer with as she does her Interim CEO work (although Helena is still the CEO… she just gives the reins more and more to Cienna in some instances for her to get used to the job).

Or Persephone with an MC that works at a bakery that Persephone frequents because she helps supply some of its stock. And you end up striking up a conversation with her one day and everything grows from there.

While Christian meets the MC during a party that you weren’t supposed to attend, but ended up doing so because your friend convinced you to sneak in. And it devolves into him getting attached and trying to uncover who he had met (sort of like a Cinderella situation in a sense).

Random Headcanons

🍊 - What influences their personal style? If they had limitless resources, would they change how they dress or style themselves at all?

The hunts she takes down. More often than not all of her clothing tends to be in some way or another used from the animals she's hunted down. The antlers and bones used for decoration in jewelry or accessory. Pelts made into new clothing, dresses, fabrics, and other things.

The only thing she would change of her style would be to add more variety of furs and pelts so she can camouflage in various landscapes and places. Or new kinds of antlers to put on her head as well. Change things up from time to time.

For the most part her regalia is something that she and Hades had commissioned a long time ago. She had helped him design an outfit that was wholly and entirely the underworld and all it's precious items it holds.

The reason gemstones are so in place near everywhere is because all of those precious metals and gems belong to the underworld something that Persephone convinced Hades to take pride in and show just how beautiful that the crust of the earth can be. That their gifts outshine and are valued among all else.

Truthfully, she rather wear her normal sun dress she wore within her garden. Something light and flowing so she can feel much more casual and relaxed.

Wriothesley ~ Hades

It goes without saying that Wriothesley has heavy Hades inspiration, so lets discuss that.

Most obvious is the Cerberus Constellation, as Cerberus is the guardian to the gates of the underworld. This motif is even displayed in the Fortress and the symbol behind Wriothesley when he sits in his office (his 'throne').

The Fortress is akin to the underworld, instead of a place for the dead it is where the exile go. The underworld throughout many iterations is perceived differently, the Fortress in my opinion works a lot how the underworld was shown in the musical Hadestown, that the souls down there are put to work.

Wriothesley just like Hades wasn't exactly given a choice in his dominion, in most retellings of the three Olympian brothers gaining rule over their land Hades gets the short end of the stick, but ultimately commands the most prosperous and powerful land.

'Business is booming' just like the underworld in Fontaine's canon the Fortress actually creates a majority of Fontaine's revenue.

Just like most underworlds there are the Titans sealed under it, the All Devouring Narwhale is a good reference of a Titan that was sealed below the underworld that Wriothesley had to keep contained. (the narwhale wanting to devour fontainans its a small stretch but a good ref to Kronos who wished to devour his children)

Even the way to get to the main part of the fortress is another reference to the Greek underworld. When Traveler went down they had to ride in a boat to enter, just like Charon delivering to souls to the underworld.

The underworld had three levels which is reflected with the Fortress. The production zone is Tartarus, the barracks is Asphodel Meadows and Fontaine itself is Elysium as once they serve their sentence they are free.

These are just the points I have found, there probably is more but I wish more people talked about this!!
