Percy loves hugs.

No, he's addicted to hugs.

He's been through too much shit for his young enough age and now only your hugs or touches bring him back to reality.

Feeling your body and take in the smell of your hair while his hands squeeze you is his favorite pastime.

You two don't have to talk at times like this.

Just to feel you next to him is already a comfort.

He's gone through a lot in his life, but he's still able to find joy in the simple things, like spending time in your arms.

If you feel bad, then Percy will definitely try to support you with a physical touch.

He'd probably wrap you in a big, warm, cozy hug that you'd get lost in.

His comforting arms wrap around you, and he speaks softly with the warmth of a summer breeze.

As you hug him, you feel all of your troubles fade away, and your heart fills with joy.

He is always there to offer a supportive hug, no matter what.

He would make you probably feel like everything was going to be okay.

He just hugs you to him and gently kisses the top of your head while you melt into his cologne with the smell of the sea and the beach.

But Percy also has hard times in his life and a bad mood.

On days like these, he just comes home and puts all his weight on you.

He needs your smell, touch and feel of your body.

It brings him back to reality and gives him a sense of safe.

And if you let him stay in your arms, he would be the happiest boy in the world.

But happy hugs are much better.

If you haven't seen each other for a long time.

Be prepared for the fact that this boy will not leave you for the next few days as soon as you come to him in New York.

He would accidentally touch you all the time and smile that silly smile.

Percy is a little spoon in bed.

He needs you to stroke his hair while he sleeps like a kitten on your chest.

If you had ever asked him about it.

"This is the only way to avoid nightmares for me."

You're his safe place.

That's why he always protects you.

He knows that you are strong enough and self-sufficient.

But he won't forgive himself if something happens to you.

If you get wounded in battle.

Percy will spend twice as much time with you.

And if the wound is not too severe, then he will hug you and hold you to him.

All time.

If he gets wounded in battle and you try to take care of him.

He will grumble that he is not a child.

But in his heart he will catch your every touch and every minute of caring for him.

He would definitely need a hug being in such a vulnerable position.

Percy Jackson's hugs are the kind that make you feel safe and loved.

If you need a bit of comfort or a shoulder to cry on, Percy is the one to go to.

His hugs are the definition of comfort.

Have you ever heard the term ‘Pyrhhic Victory’? It’s a victory in which the cost outweighs the gain. When there is so much loss that it overshadows the win. There are many examples in ancient Greek and Roman literature, or in their history. Virgil’s Aeneid subtly criticizes the cost it took to build this life, “So heavy is the cost of the founding of Rome”. And, of course, the very founding of the term- the Pyrrhic War of 280BC. I promise I have a point here. There are countless wars in Greek and Roman history where the struggle is considered null, where the win cost too much for it to be worth it. But I think about this in relation to the 2nd Titan War in ‘The Last Olympian’, specifically the Battle of Manhattan. They won, right? It was a success? I don’t think it was a success to all.

The greatest loss of this war were the Apollo kids. So many of them weren’t actually on the front lines, and yet they suffered the greatest loss. By the end of the war, Will was the oldest camper in his cabin.

He was fourteen years old.

The only known Apollo survivors of the war were Kayla, Will and Austin. There may have been more, or that may have been it, but what we know for certain is that the Apollo Cabin lost the most. They had the most casualities, the most loss.

They spent the next day healing the wounded, unable to mourn the loss of their siblings. Will took over as the leader of his cabin midway through a war. Kayla, 12, and Austin, 13, had to go and recover the body of their older brother.

They never found him.

I think constantly about the way they are undervalued and underestimated. The way people may think lesser of them for not always being fighters. And then I think about the fact that the healers suffered more in this battle than anyone. And they did so quietly.

So, yes, the Second Titan War was considered a victory.

But I wonder if the Apollo Cabin felt the same?
