funniest and most heartwarming thing i rediscovered on my rewatch is when karin roasts sakura about poisoning naruto and then kakashi, who loves all of his kids very much and understands their behavior and isn’t upset with them about their choices but has also been under ABSURD amounts of stress for all of season 10, just bursts out laughing ❤️

i think it is also rlly interesting the way madara always projects his rage only onto hashirama ... like when izuna dies. and the clans meet on the battlefield again. madara goes apeshit but NOT at tobirama. his rage is very pointedly directed at hashirama .. even tho tobirama before asks him abt what has happened to izuna. madara says that he died from his injuries and then fires up his susanoo and attacks hashirama .. while screaming his name. like ... something something violence is an outlet for him and a way for him to make his feelings be heard and understood by the other party. and he wants hashirama to understand him. whether tobirama understands him or gets what is coming to him or whatever for killing his brother doesnt matter at all. all he wants is for hashirama to see his rage and his grief .. and understand what he feels

domestic cross guild, where mornings start off with a sleepy Buggy floating to the kitchen, eyes semi-closed. Mihawk at the kitchen island with two ready-made coffee mugs in front of him, silently sipping from his own while he passes one of the mugs to Buggy who wordlessly accepts and sits down across from him. Crocodile is soon trailing after him, also accepting the offered mug from Mihawk. no words are exchanged. Crocodile sets to making breakfast while Mihawk and Buggy move to sit at the table to give him more space. eyes still heavy with sleep, Buggy drapes himself on the table, trying to get a few more minutes of shut-eye. the sounds of Mihawk turning the pages of the newspaper and Crocodile humming as he cooks is a soothing lullaby to Buggy's ears by now. he has never had peaceful mornings like this before.

them flip flopping the original roles of this scene is making me feel demented. the added lu ten funeral scene adds the perfect parallel and depth to it: lu ten gave his medal to zuko to serve as comfort and determination to zuko when ozai was mad at him, yet zuko gave it up to comfort iroh after lu ten died. and then sat with him through the funeral when nobody else was. and now zuko's the one heading into what's basically a suicide mission and yet he takes the initiative to console iroh by telling him lu ten would be proud to have him as a father. this is sick work and i'm gonna be haunted by it for the next 30 days and 30 nights

I wanted to try out making them sparkly and shiny..but #I think they might have looked better before adding all the shine. BUT I kind of like both. Maybe I should make two more that aren't shiny #just to have variation lol... an entire army of tiny aishas..... #The little house is so bad lol I hada headache at that point and kind of just wanted to get everything over with #(I bake the clay all at once so I had to get the smaller ones done to go with the main one) #and was like.. zero effort into making things line up or measuring at all. one window on one side is like twice as big as on the other lol #but I think from afar ifnot examined too closely it's still kind of cute. The birds were also just random like 'what can I shape out of thi #s small blob of clay I have leftover' etc. I did actually put irridescent eyeshaow on the pigeon but it just doesnt show up in photos ToT #The other bird is not anything in specific... some sort of random fantasy creature bird with slight purple on it's wings or something #The strawberry is exclusively just a quickly done accessory for the birds.. I wanted them to have a little meal to share #even though I dont know if birds eat strawberries #the last picture in the set is them all sitting on a shelf (the most well lit place I could find) but looks weird #since it has all of my avocado pit eyes in the background......... ominous backdrop for such peaceful little creachures.. #you kind of cant tell what they are from that angle though i guess lol

#my art #the x files #dana scully #fox mulder #alex krycek #i was talking about this on twitter yesterday but #i have a LOTTTTTT a lot of thought about this part of season two #mainly because i think that while scully probably realized she was never going to find peace ever again after emily #i do believe that the last time mulder ever thought everything would be okay was right before scully’s abduction #which is also kind of why i think mulder was closer to killing himself in ascension than in gethsemane #at the end of season four mulder is kind of resigned to his and scully’s lives unravelling #he’s more suspicious and slower to trust then he ever was #while ascension was the first time he was like. Oh okay. It’s over for us forever and ever #and the fact that he was still open and still kind of okay before that just kind of makes it worse #that he was just betrayed and left hanging and lost everyone he thought he had in one fell swoop #ascension jades the fuck out of him and you can see it. like through the whole series there are threads of it #his tendency to rely on skinner regresses for a while. he becomes even less functional when scully is gone. #he has far less patience for his informants and he refuses to rely on anyone the way he tried to on krycek #like it’s just. such an obvious shift in his character that you can tell his mindset about his and scully’s life has changed #and that’s a huge part of the show’s tragedy i think. ​there is no peace. there is no rest. it’s never going to be okay

there's something sooooooo heartbreaking about quests as a narrative piece. you set out on this journey to rescue someone or defeat a great evil and along the way you face hardship and horror and you grieve and fight and love and lose and then when it's all over you come home. everything is the same as when you left, but you're so irrevocably different that you no longer fit in the one place you used to be truly at peace. you're tired from your journey but you find no rest or recovery, only ghosts. and you almost wish for another quest, another dangerous mission, because at least then you know your purpose.
