Pancakes should not be eaten in a civilized manner.

A guide on pancakes.

We must remind ourselves where we are in the world before we start talking about pancakes. One must respect the language spoken by the locals, you see, your pancake may be an atrocity to the other, as well as their pancake may be considered lame to you. However, it is imperative to settle our differences and embrace what we have in common (this may be done by demonstrating the deliciousness shared by all pancakes).

Taking into account the aforementioned, pancakes can be dividen in two main groups, (if more groups are identified they will be updated to the guide):

American pancakes: in texture thick, spongy, flexible to a certain degree (will break if attempted to roll). May come in many varieties; most commonly made with plain batter, served on a plate and topped with butter and/or maple syrup (or jam of choice),
