Technodad: Techno’s father. We all knew. 

Demeter: Technodad’s wife! Greek goddess of harvest.

Artemis: previously known as Technodagger! Techno’s younger sister.

Apollo: twin brother to Artemis! Techno’s younger brother. 

Persephone: Demeter’s daughter! Step-sister to Artemis & Apollo. 

UPDATE: Technodad cleared up some confusion. Techno’s mom/ Technomom was the woman who put a message at the end of so long, nerds. She is not Demeter! Technodad and Demeter got married during quarantine (and guess who was the best man :,])

Yeah, that was hilarious, the reaction I mean. As I remember the YouTube comments were super judgmental, ("what a terrible dad") and the reddit comments were all really positive ("what a supportive dad"). Wild! So here's the story. Recall that I have a whole bunch of kids. So many kids. And getting a whole herd of kids moving in the same direction can be a big challenge. One activity that I try to make sure we all do together as a family every year is buy a Christmas tree. I don't make it mandatory but I really push for everyone to come. And most of the time Alex has come along. I never thought he especially enjoyed the activity for itself, but I think he understood the communal, familial value of this regular ritual. Because I have the twins 50% of the time, and because it's hard to buy a Christmas tree on a school day, the days for buying a Christmas tree are quite restricted. I really really wanted to get everyone in the car *that morning*. Technodad and Demeter are running around trying to get everyone in the car first thing in the morning. And somehow that day *everyone* has something going on that's slowing us down. I had checked in with Alex early on, and I knew he was going on the air later in the day, and I really wanted to get the whole thing done in time to have him able to go with us and still be able to be back in time. But no wait! Here's another delay. I had checked in with Alex several times over the course of the morning, slowly feeling the hope of full family attendance slipping away. Finally, finally, *finally* all the other kids were ready. It had taken *hours*. I went in to Alex's room, and he saw me and goes to hit mute but I guess he muted discord instead of the actual mic feeding his stream. When I saw he was already streaming, I knew my goal was out the window. The discouragement you can hear in my voice is my realization that the last hope I had of Alex joining us on the Christmas tree run were dashed. I knew his streaming was important and not able to be rescheduled. This is, the same was true of the Christmas tree trip. So the rest of us went off and got a Christmas tree. THE END
