Maybe “Gideon” began to trigger alarm bells in your system, like a predator turning their attention to you all at once, wanting nothing more than to rip you to shreds.

“Gideon” feels like an intense wave of fury and hate and hunger reaching for you with unseen claws, promising pain and death and devouring—

But there was never anything there to cause it. Just a girl who didn’t die when she should’ve, and maybe some old bones in an alcove, or the gleam of a sword with a vicious edge, turned fiery red in the reflection of her hair.
