Out of Alcina’s three daughters, Cassandra is the one that poses the most challenge.
Often times, Alcina doesn’t know how to proceed with her middle daughter especially. Cassandra is sassy, she has a sharp tongue, an attitude, can argue until she’s blue in the face, knows how to put someone in their place, can be very intimidating at times, and can hold a grudge forever.
The problem Alcina faces here is the fact that Cassandra is very much like her, personality wise. Like Cassandra’s fiery temper? Picking the right words to get under someone’s skin? Using sound logic to justify everything wrong that she did? Having a confident threatening aura just because??? Try as she might, Alcina can’t look away from how Cassandra takes after her in more than just looks.
Tl;dr, Cassandra has her mama’s personality and Alcina is often caught between “she’s just like me” and “I have to stop this” but since she’s a big softie and also realizing that this is genetic she lets Cassandra get away with A LOT.

Gimme a whole set of OCs
This took days to answer bc I wasn't sure which OCs to pick lol. So! Three OCssssss, we'll do Eva, Locke, and Aeryk. Most of my Dragon Age OCs are in a shared universe where they all exist in varying capacities all the time, and then I have notes and sometimes fic in continuities where they get to be the star of the show. Locke and Eva both have Inquisitor worldstates, and I've written two fics with Eva as Inquisitor.
For all three of these characters, their default state is one in which Thayet Trevelyan is Inquisitor.
No gifs of faceclaims for this one because my chromebook doesn't want to cooperate. :(
Under the read more are relatively brief summaries, but if you want to read more detailed profiles, I got 'em!
Locke Trevelyan (as Inquisitor; summary of his place in Thayet's worldstate is at the bottom)
Eva Trevelyan (as Inquisitor; summary of her place in Thayet's worldstate is at the bottom)
Aeryk (Lavellan)
Locke Trevelyan
Lachlan Ciel Lorraine Trevelyan is the Inquisitor's half-brother, their father's third child, after Thayet (Bann Trevelyan's daughter with his first wife) and Ramsay (the Bann's bastard son), and their father's first child with his current wife, the Marquise Alodie de Lorraine. Most nobles call him Lachlan, his mama calls him Ciel, his father doesn't call him anything, and people he likes call him Locke.
Locke was basically just raised with the job of taking over the family shipping business and inheriting his father's title, and that's... pretty much it. Neither of his parents put a lot of thought into who he might be as a person, and if that makes you go "wow, I bet Locke has issues with lack of agency and thinks his only value to other people is in how useful he can be to them", you're very smart and correct. He's done all the things he's supposed to do - he did very well at the expensive university his parents sent him to in Orlais, he's well-mannered, attentive, and loyal, he rarely complains, and when he's told to jump, he asks how high - and yet, it hasn't really earned him the respect or basic parental affection it seems like it should have.
Mechanically, Locke is a rogue archer. Obviously he learned archery (and fencing) as part of his legitimate education. But the lockpicking and pickpocketing and the sneaky rogue stuff? All that he learned while he was at University and going out with people he wasn't supposed to be spending time with, like bards-in-training, thieves, and worst of all, poor people. (His mother would be mortified.) Locke's got a little rebellious streak, he just lacks reasons to bring it out. He even came very, very close to ditching out on his family responsibilities and becoming a bard, but chickened out before he could formally begin training.
As far as his siblings go, he has very little relationship with Thayet and has no idea that his bastard brother exists. He has three younger full siblings (Alodie, Eva, and Alexandre), and is very, very close to Eva. He's the only member of the family that tried to keep in touch with her when she was taken to the Circle when she was 15 and he was 17. (Thankfully, Eva went to Montsimmard and "earned" her right to communicate with family after a few years.)
During Thayet's Inquisition campaign, he attended the ball at the Winter Palace, along with his mother and his younger brother, Alexandre. His mother is a close-ish (ish) cousin of the Grand Duke Gaspard, his brother is a chevalier, and Locke was... basically obligated to go. After a series of hijinks involving a failed engagement with Yvette Montilyet, Locke and Josephine ended up falling in love, marrying sometime before Trespasser, and living together with her family in Antiva.
In a Locke-as-Inquisitor worldstate, Locke was at the Conclave acting as an ambassador for Ostwick. He's was good Inquisitor, if moderate; he supported Cassandra, conscripted the Templars, blackmailed Celene, Briala, and Gaspard into working together (mostly because he couldn't stomach killing Gaspard, as it would damage his mother's family's standing in Orlais). In the end, he turned the Inquisition over to the Chantry as the Divine's honor guard. He also fell totally in love with Josephine about 10 minutes after meeting her, and happily goes with her to Antiva in the end.
Eva Trevelyan
Evelyn Marine Lorraine Trevelyan is the Inquisitor's half-sister, their father's fifth child overall, and the third child with Bann Trevelyan's current wife, the Marquise Alodie de Lorraine.
Eva is a fundamentally gentle sort of person consistently put into ungentle circumstances. She wasn't expected to be anything or anyone remarkable as a child; the Bann and the Marquise just made an heir and a handful of spares as quickly as they could just to be safe, with Eva falling kind of in the middle of it all. She's not the smartest sibling, or the most talented, or either parents' favorite (and oof, do they play favorites), so she was mostly allowed to be anything she wanted as long as she didn't make trouble. Her absolute best friend growing up was her older brother, Locke.
Then, of course, she made trouble by being a mage. She was carted off to the Circle -- but not to Ostwick, as her half-sister was serving there as a Templar and that would be a conflict of interest. Instead, she was transferred to Montsimmard, where her Orlesian heritage and noble connections (like the fact that she's a close-ish cousin of Grand Duke Gaspard) would serve both her and the Circle itself. In a few short years, she became a favorite protege of First Enchanter Vivienne, as well.
Eva sides with the Loyalist mages and allies with the Inquisition as one of Vivienne's resources.
In an Eva-as-Inquisitor worldstate, Eva came up in the Ostwick Circle, her magic manifesting very soon after her Templar sister and bastard brother escaped with help from the then-First Enchanter, which for Eva meant that she was coming into the Circle in a time of upheaval that her own relatives were responsible for. As baseline awful as coming up in Montsimmard had been, they were way, way worse in Ostwick, especially with the a Knight-Commander looking for someone to punish.
She came out of it a healer/support-focused mage, actively trying to deny her natural talent for fire spells, and having fully internalized the Chantry's doctrine of shame and fear toward magic. She's a very gentle sort of person who hates conflict and combat, but over time with the Inquisition and as she starts healing from her life in the Circle, she does start learning to use Inferno spells and seeks training as a Knight-Enchanter.
She also uses her position as Inquisitor to reconnect with her family (to mixed results). She eventually gives the Inquisition to the Chantry and retires in whatever capacity she can. I never settled on a romance for her, but sometimes I toy with the thought of her ending up with Cullen because they could either make each other better or way, way worse.
Aeryk (Lavellan)
Fun fact: Aeryk is kind of a joint custody OC with my wife. We met in an RP game aaaaaages ago where she played Magneto, at some point we started writing PSLs and tossed Thayet and Mags together for long-winded reasons I won't get into here. And you know that thing, where you write so many AUs that a character has become super abstracted and eventually you're like "oh this is just an OC now"? Yeah. That process kicked in when my DnD character died and I needed a fast replacement, so I retooled Thayet for that campaign and gave her a tiefling boyfriend in her backstory based on that AU-ified version of Magneto, changed the spelling of his name, and then adapted tiefling!Aeryk into Dragon Age to officially put him into original recipe Thayet's backstory. Wife still writes him in PSLs, and I have her blessing to noodle around and put him into fic.
It goes without saying, I think, that I have the most emotional attachment to Aeryk out of any of the OCs I've shared publicly, except for Thayet.
ANYWAY, moving on.
Aeryk is technically a non-Inquisitor Lavellan, but he doesn't really know that for sure. His grandmother was an elf named Ashara, and was the elder sister of Clan Lavellan's current Keeper, Deshanna. When Deshanna was very young, the clan was raided by Tevinter slavers, who kidnapped some members of the clan. Ashara was taken to the city of Neromenian, where she was sold to House Sevarius. She would eventually fall in love with and become pregnant by another enslaved elf and die giving birth to her daughter, Nessa. Nearly 20 years later when Nessa had Aeryk, she had only her own father's inaccurate recollections of her mother to go by. As a result, Aeryk grew up very strongly suspecting that her stories of their Dalish heritage were ultimately just escapist fantasies.
Aeryk was fathered by Magister Gaian Sevarius, who was content to leave him (and all his other illegitimate children) in bondage, and would have done the same to Aeryk. However, Aeryk's magic manifested when he was 10 years old and was exceptionally powerful. Tevinter doesn't take much issue with enslaving mages, but Sevarius saw that honing and using Aeryk's magic would be much easier if he had the social mobility of a free man, so Aeryk was legally freed and legitimized as a son of House Sevarius... which honestly just landed him in a whole different form of servitude. His father used him as an attendant and personal assassin, having him "properly" socialized, expensively educated, and secretly trained besides. Sevarius was a social climber, and it was an open secret among Tevinter nobility that many of those steps were built on Aeryk's efforts.
When he was 25, Aeryk successfully escaped Tevinter and fled south into the Free Marches. He had real, actual freedom for about a year until he was captured by southern Templars and taken to the Ostwick Circle. At 30, he was made First Enchanter, and at 33, he met a then-18-year-old Thayet Trevelyan when she was transferred to Ostwick.
Aeryk is, essentially, the "main character" of Thayet's time in the Ostwick Circle. It's Aeryk who has the intense rivalry with the Knight-Commander, it's Aeryk who mentors Thayet's bastard brother Ramsay and practically adopts him, and it's him who ropes Thayet herself into smuggling contraband in and out of the Circle, taking her desire to protect her brother and turning it into being an ally for all the mages there, as well. His refusal to escape on his own is complicated; not only was he just not trained to handle southern Templars, but having left behind the enslaved people he grew up with (including his mother) when he fled Tevinter, he stayed with the mages on principle, trying to find a way to free all of them and not just himself.
His partnership with Thayet had started mostly with using her as a runner for contraband, but expanded into a genuine friendship, especially as she rose in the ranks and turned his basic smuggling setup into a larger network of contacts. They also fell in love and never really acknowledged it; it was far too complicated and dangerous, especially once she was promoted to Knight-Captain. So much tragedy. So much pining.
In the end, Aeryk almost made it. Months before the Divine Conclave, the rebels finally had a concrete plan of escape; years of socking away money and building contacts made it feasible to survive outside the Circle and on the run; Thayet had hired a ship captain to take them to Ferelden, scheduled to dock in a month's time; the escape routes were planned, and Thayet herself had spent years training recruits, memorizing their habits and weaknesses. All that was left was to wait for the ship to dock before moving to rebel.
And then the Knight-Commander found some evidence of a conspiracy and punished Aeryk for it by making him Tranquil. Or, rather, he sentenced Aeryk to Tranqulity, and Aeryk asked Thayet to volunteer for the ritual so that his last real emotion would be in the care of someone who loved him. He refused to be rescued; rebelling early would mean fleeing into the mountains instead of by ship, where their people would be easier to hunt and more likely to die to the elements or starvation.
When the Ostwick Circle finally fell a month later, Aeryk was taken along with the rebels. They made it to Ferelden, where he was accidentally separated from the others in Highever. Thankfully, he was found by Rowan Lavellan, who at that point was traveling alone and already allied with Fen'Harel. Rowan cared for him for months before joining up with the Inquisition, where Aeryk was taken into their care instead. His foreseeable future is spent as an assistant to Harritt and Dagna.
There are other continuities where Aeryk is never made Tranquil, and even some where he and Thayet get to admit their feelings and be together. But in my main "canon" worldstate, Aeryk remains out of commission, with the best of him living in Thayet's memories. It's possible that he may be cured one day, but Thayet has personally committed to funding his care, and refuses to let him be used in any experiments for or testing of potential Tranquility cures. He also never learns the truth of his heritage in his main continuity, though that's mostly through bad luck and poor circumstance.

They being your alpha (Headcanon AU Omegaverse) - Family Dimitrescu, Donna Beneviento and Mother Miranda
Alcina Dimitrescu
- She is proud of her nature, having grown up in a mostly alpha family Alcina learned how to be a traditionally alpha and carried these lessons through until after the transformation. She is not a controlling or aggressive alpha as they were taught to be but she is still jealous and protective, in heat she finds it hard to control herself in these aspects;
- When she finds the perfect mate, you, she won't let you get away easily, if her strong personality doesn't win you over immediately the Countess knows how to be a gallant and win you over with other methods;
- Alcina wastes no time in marking you, you are only hers and everyone should know, there is a huge teeth mark above the curve of your neck and near the several hickeys she leaves on sensitive skin, exposed for anyone to see that you were once claimed and belong to her;
- Despite the strong instincts she has during heat she leaves birth control completely up to your choice, if you want a baby the tall woman will not deny and will be happy to give you one, if you don't want she will respect and support you, after all you are already raising three naughty daughters;
- Alcina is a traditional alpha and will want to marry soon after the mating mark, what she wants most is for you to become hers in body, soul, mind and now legally, becoming Y/N Dimitrescu.
Bela Dimitrescu
- Mama's girl tries to be like Alcina and even manages to be similar in some aspects, but her family and you know that in truth Bela is a very delicate and needy alpha;
- When you first met her you thought she was omega and despite her last name you became friends, she never felt the need to tell you about her true nature thinking she could keep it a secret or control, not wanting to scare you;
- But the plan goes down the drain when you both go into heat simultaneously and all the incubated love you feel for each other comes out and become one, the girl manages to control herself and doesn't mark you immediately, waiting for you to want and ask for it;
- Bela always talks about children and wishes to be a mother someday, but only when you feel ready, meanwhile you plan a life together and marriage is among these sweet plans. She secretly wants to have a big brood and for her mother to be proud of the family she is building with you;
- The wedding takes place at least 6 months after the first night together, it is grand and almost the whole village is invited to attend something as special as the wedding of the elder Dimitrescu heiress and her little wife, who had been finally marked and claimed on the wedding night.
Cassandra Dimitrescu
- She can be a very indifferent alpha, someone who can control her own instincts and that's what she did until she met you, it was as if you had broken the clock that is her self control;
- Cassandra claimed you almost immediately and locked you behind the castle gates keeping you safe from the outside world, where no one can touch and hurt you;
- She becomes very jealous, so even her family doesn't dare to get too close, it's something new even for them because Cassandra has always been the most centered one and suddenly surrendered to the alpha inside her because of you;
- Babies are out of the question, at least for now, she expresses no desire to be a mother and keeps you regimented on birth control, avoiding the subject every time you mention it at a family dinner or in private. Deep down she is afraid of sharing you and not being a good mother;
- Marriage is not something she thinks about, it is just an unnecessary formality in the brunette's opinion, but if you want to have a private ceremony she will give in and start seeing positives, like the yellow stone ring on your finger telling everyone that you are hers, that you are Y/N Dimitrescu, Cassandra's wife.
Daniela Dimitrescu
- She is wild but the alpha within her is ten times worse, made of pure instinct Dani can barely contain herself around you, it's as if she can't help but touch you and show you how much she loves and desires you, you are like a drug and she is addicted;
- Equal to Cassandra she claims you quickly, not seeing why you should wait since you are soulmates and meant to be mates, the mark is obvious and sloppy, made in the heat of the moment and which you proudly display;
- She is the type of companion best friend and will make everything a fun time, you walk around the property a lot and make family nights the best, Dani is extremely secure and not usually jealous, she loves that you are friends with her sisters and protected by Alcina;
- Daniela is not one to plan but also not one to prevent, so birth control is up to your preference, she respects if you don't want children or at least not now, but would be happy if it happened, she would love to be a mother and have a red-headed baby to spoil;
- She sees no need to formally marry, as soon as you bonded with the mating mark the younger Dimitrescu already considered you a married couple and gave you a necklace with a pendant of the family crest and a green stone in the middle for you to carry wherever going and remember that her heart belongs to you.
Donna Beneviento
- Donna is a rare alpha in a family of betas and thanks to the ancestry of an alpha great-grandmother, her nature is more calm and serene, she can control her instincts and pass as a beta quietly, but in no moment hides to you who she is;
- On the other hand, her heat is more intense and wild than that of a normal alpha, she is as needy as an omega, sometimes you spend days locked in the bedroom just satisfying her and she is always ashamed of her own libido afterwards, begging forgiveness for the love marks left behind;
- After much conversation you agree on the mating mark, it is an intimate and tender moment, she asks you several times if this is what you really want before sinking her teeth into the curve of your neck, where it is not very visible but will be there permanently, binding you forever;
- As the last remaining Beneviento she has the desire to be a mother, at the same time she is afraid of forming the family she wants so much and this being ripped away from her again, despite this Donna makes it clear from the beginning of the relationship that she wants to experience motherhood, only with you as the other mother;
- Like Alcina she would want to get married after the mating mark, just a simple ceremony with her adoptive family and Angie as maid of honor at the Beneviento estate, you wait until spring arrives so you can get married with her garden blooming under a warm sun, it was romantically magical the moment you became the other Lady Beneviento.
Mother Miranda
- She has had many companions throughout her life, but only two she has really liked and ardently desired, the first was Eva's mother who died along with her daughter of Spanish flu and it drove her crazy, almost a hundred years later you came along and were the only other person she came close to loving;
- At first Miranda is reluctant to get you as a mate because as soon as she met you she knew you were different from the others, everything about you makes her alpha nature scream, she even thought of letting you go but was possessed to imagine someone else conquering you;
- A ceremony is held for you to get your mark, it's something grand and everyone is there to watch the first official mate of the leader in many years be claimed, she prepares you in advance for this moment and soothes you before, during and after the process, telling you how proud she is;
- Miranda has a strong breeding kink and is not ashamed of it, she often whispers how beautiful you would look carrying a baby of hers as she fills you in several times before tying the knot. She is obsessed with the idea of bringing Eva to life again and always thinks about how perfect it would be if she had a little brother or sister upon her return;
- The ceremony in which you were claimed was like a wedding performance, a ritual covenant sealing your place at her side as the right hand and wife of the leader, formally earning you the respect of the four lords and all the villagers, no one would dare to defy you or touch you, after all, you are the protégé of a fierce and powerful alpha.

Taken (Modern AU) - Ch 6
Tumblr media
Pairing: Alcina Dimitrescu x Fem!Reader Series: Taken (Modern AU) Taglist
AN: Hey everyone! Another chapter is up!
I’ve noticed some of you from the taglist can’t be tagged. I don’t know why, I’ve double checked for the third time today and I am sure I have written everything correct. If you find your name in the taglist but isn’t tagged, try and see if anything is out of the ordinary for you on your profile. I do apoligize for the inconvinience.
“You asked her out?!”, Daniela squeaked as she and her sisters along with their father sat in the living room, watching tv. Alcina had just mentioned she was going out Friday night. She hadn’t even mentioned where she was going or who she was going out with.
Alcina stared at her youngest for a moment before turning to Jeremy who held up his arms in defense. “Don’t look at me, I didn’t tell them anything”
“So it’s true then. You’re going out with her”, Bela said this time and Alcina could hear the protectiveness in her voice.
“Yes. Doctor y/l/n and I are going out Friday night. I hope you don’t mind”, she said, the last sentence with a pit of sarcasm.
“Of course not mama. We want you to be happy”, Cassandra said eyeing her sisters with a look making them both roll their eyes, but kept quiet. “But you’re still gonna come to my game Saturday right?”
Alcina smiled at Cassandra and nodded. “Of course darling”
Cassandra smiled wide and looked at her father. “Are you going too papa?”
That made everyone turn to the man and said man looked his daughter for a moment before turning to Alcina who already knew the answer. “Cass I–“
“Jeremy”, Alcina warned and Jeremy turned to her.
“Alcina I have work”
“This means everything to her!”
Jeremy eyed her before turning to Cassandra who sat with tears in her eyes. “Cassandra I–“, he was interrupted as she stood from the couch and ran out of the room and up the stairs.
Bela immediately stood as well, and walked after her. “Why are you always working?”, Daniela asked innocently and Jeremy turned to her.
“My boss is strict. Look I will try to make it okay? But I can’t make any promises” He turned to Alcina who eyed him knowingly. He wasn’t going to come and they both knew it.
“Ugh this dress is hideous!”, you hissed as you went through your wardrobe. On your bed sat Eli and Jane, watching you. You and Jane had planned to find a dress for your date with Alcina. But right now it did not seem possible. Somehow none of the dresses you owned were good enough.
“Y/n you look gorgeous in all of them”, she said, making you turn to her with a look. “Right Eli?”
The boy nodded silently and you gave him a smile making him blush. You turned back to you closet, looking through all of your dresses. A beeping sound was heard and Jane widened her eyes.
“Uh! The popcorns are done”, she said and half ran out of bedroom to the kitchen.
“Popcorn? Seriously?”, you commented turning back around, a frown covering your face. You turned to your son who smiled back at you. “Really?”
He smiled wider, letting out a small chuckle and you couldn’t stop yourself from chuckling yourself. Your son was just the cutest.
You walked over to him and kissed his forehead before crouching down in front of him. “Are you sure you’re okay with mommy going out?”, you asked for the third time that day and Eli actually rolled his eyes making you chuckle.
“Yeah mommy. Tall lady pretty”, he said making you smile.
“Yeah. She really is pretty isn’t she?”
Elijah nodded and you smiled, bringing him in for a hug. You closed your eyes, letting yourself savor the moment, smelling his smell that was all your wife. “I love you buddy”, you whispered and kissed his cheek making the boy chuckle.
“Love you mommy”
You smiled and kissed him again when you heard crunching in the background and looked over to see Jane standing in the door way, a bowl of popcorn in her hands, leaning against the doorframe.
“You’re so sweet”, she commented and you let out a chuckle shaking your head as you stood from the floor.
“Just help me please”
Jane smiled and walked back to her seat next to Elijah, placing the bowl on the boy’s lap, making him smile wide and take a popcorn into his mouth.
“Not too much buddy, okay?”, you told him sternly and Elijah nodded.
“Yes mommy”
Jane smiled at the boy, stroking his hair. She took a handful of popcorn before turning to you. “Alright hot shot. Show me what you got”
Bela sat in Cassandra’s bed watching tv while her sister slept next to her, her head on her shoulder. Daniela was sitting by Cassandra’s desk, writing on her MacBook. Whenever she had the time between school and work, she always wrote her stories.
“What are you writing about?”, Bela asked quietly and Daniela turned to her, staring back at her. And right there Bela knew what she was writing.
“You’re writing smut aren’t you?”
Daniela mumbled a ‘yeah’ before suddenly a knock was heard and they both turned to see Jeremy open the door. “Hey, may I come in?”
They both nodded, Daniela closing her MacBook while Bela turned off the tv. Jeremy walked in and sat on the end of the bed.
“Should I wake–“
“No, it’s okay, I’ll talk to her later, let her sleep”, he stopped his oldest and Bela nodded, letting her sister continue to sleep.
“I’m sorry I’m not here more often”, Jeremy started out. “And I know work isn’t an excuse. I’m your father. I should be here for you”
Bela and Daniela shared a look and Jeremy knew they were silently speaking to each other. They all did that. Alcina had told him about it a few years ago. It was something they had done ever since they could communicate with each other.
“But… work isn’t the only reason I’m not here”, he said and the girls turned to him. “I’m seeing this girl, and–“
“But I thought you loved mother”, Bela said as a matter of fact and that made both Jeremy and Daniela turned to her.
“How did you–“
“You’re not that hard to read father”, she said and Daniela still sat with widened eyes, turning to her father.
“You love mom?”
Jeremy sighed. There was no way denying it now. “I always have. But I know I’m not your mother’s type and I’ve respected and come to terms with that from the first time we met”
“But you still slept together. You still had us”, Daniela insisted and Jeremy turned to her.
“We were young and drunk. We didn’t exactly plan on having kids together, let alone sleeping with each other”
The two girls turned to each other again and Jeremy sighed turning to Cassandra who was still sleeping peacefully against Bela.
“But that doesn’t make me love you any less. I promised Alcina I would be here and I intend to keep that promise”, he continued making the girls turn back to him.
“I’m looking for houses here in New York. The moment something comes up, I’m moving”, he stated and that made them both smile wide.
“So you’ll live closer to us”, Daniela said and Jeremy nodded with a smile.
“Yes. I wanna see my three beautiful daughters grow up. I don’t wanna miss another second”
That made Daniela smile wide and stood from her seat, hugging her father tight. While they shared their moment Bela turned to the door and noticed her mother eyes in the small opening of the door.
Alcina knocked softly before opening the door further and Daniela and Jeremy turned to her. “Hey, everything alright in here?”
They all three nodded and Alcina met Jeremy’s eyes, the man smiling back at her with an assuring look. She turned and noticed Cassandra sleeping on the bed and smiled at the look. She walked over and carried the girl into her arms, holding her against her chest.
“I’m gonna lay her in the bedroom, while you three can spend some time together”, she whispered and they all three nodded watching her leave with Cassandra in her arms.
Despite the girls being teenagers now, they were still small for their age, and Alcina who had always been tall and muscular could easily still carry them if she wished to do so. That was secretly one of the things she loved most about her children.
Bela was the tallest, Daniella not far behind, while Cassandra was the smallest despite only being the second youngest.
“Have you told mother? About the moving?”, Bela asked once she knew her mother was gone and Jeremy turned to her.
“I have”
“And what did she say?”, Daniela then asked and Jeremy smiled at her.
“The most important thing to your mom is that you three are happy and receive all the love that she and I can give you”
The two girls stared back at him, clear understanding showing in their eyes. “You three and your mother are my greatest adventure. And I have missed more than any father should. I promise I will be better. Much better”
This time Bela moved from her spot on the bed and over to Jeremy, sitting next to him before hugging him tight. “I expect you to keep it”, she said before pulling back and standing from the bed, leaving the bedroom.
Jeremy sighed, knowing it was gonna take more than words to make Bela trust him again. “Don’t worry. You know how she is”
Jeremy smiled at his youngest and squeezed her arm. “Yeah. Now. Tell me about your latest story”, he decided to change the subject and that made Daniela suddenly freeze, a huge blush creeping on her face.
Jeremy frowned at her with confused eyes. “What?”
Unbeknownst to him, her latest story was nothing but pure smut between her two favorite characters; Kim Possible and Sheego.
Cassandra opened her eyes and immediately noticed she wasn’t in her own bed with Bela anymore. She could smell her mother’s perfume and saw her scar on her chest. She smiled and snuggled closer in her mother’s embrace.
“I see someone is awake”, Alcina commented as she watched tv on the couch and Cassandra hummed making the woman chuckle. She hugged her daughter closer and Cassandra smiled at the action. She’s always loved her mother’s hugs. They were always so filled with love and her touch filled with tender and care.
Her mother was just her everything. “Was it a good nap dear?”
Cassandra nodded and before Alcina could say anything more, the girl was fast asleep again. Alcina smiled and kissed her forehead. A few minutes later Jeremy came back and sat down next to her, watching the tv as well.
“How did it go?” Alcina asked and Jeremy turned to her. He looked down at Cassandra and stroked her hair softly before moving his hand down to hers, holding onto it.
“Daniela is happy I’m moving. They both are. Bela just…”, he trailed off and Alcina nodded in understanding.
“She just needs some time Jer”
“I know, I know. I just want to prove I can actually be there you know”
Alcina nodded and they sat in silence as Alcina watched the tv while Jeremy looked at Cassandra, feeling his heart burst with love.
“I’m so sorry Alci… I’ve been such a bad father to them and even a worse best friend to you”, he softly whispered and Alcina turned to him, looking into his eyes. “I wanna be better”
Alcina looked down his on Cassandra’s and placed her own hand on top of his. “You will be”
Jeremy looked down at their hands and smiled at the sight.
You stood in front of the mirror in your bedroom looking over the dress you had chosen to wear. It had taken you and Jane almost an hour to find a dress that you liked.
Eli had just sat and ate all the popcorn. Normally you would have stopped him earlier but you couldn’t get yourself to do so. He deserved the best.
“Mommy?”
You turned around and saw Elijah standing in the doorway, his hands behind his back. “Yes honey?”
“Are you… are you gon-gon leave me?”
You felt your heart break at his small and insecure voice. “What? No honey, of course not”, you assured him walking over and crouching in front of him. He looked down in sadness and you furrowed your eyebrows in confusion. Why was he feeling like this all of the sudden.
“But-but you gon love somebody else”, he said and you suddenly realized he was talking about Alcina.
“Oh honey”, you whispered and hugged him tight, which instantly made him cry and you felt your own eyes getting watery. “Eli I love you. I will never leave you, no matter who comes into our lives, okay?“
Elijah nodded but kept crying, holding onto you for dear life. “You’re my everything”, you whispered, kissing his temple softly.

I was thinking a couple of days ago, Lady Dimitriscu has no problem picking up people due to her height and strength. So here is how I'd imagine each character would react to being picked up. Consider this a wholesome head canon for Mama/Big Sister Lady Dimitriscu! 🤗
The Dimitriscu Daughters -
Honestly, she has no problem on how they get carried around. Being a mother to three (3) daughters taught her that they all have their own traits and personalities, but the one thing that always makes her heart swell with joy is seeing her little insects happy. Here's how they typically get carried around.
Bela Dimitriscu -
Being the oldest of the three (3) daughters, she usually has to make sure she sets an example for her other sisters. Seeing as how Bela tries her best to make her mother happy, nothing beats ending the day than a simple piggyback ride. She gets so tired, it doesn't surprise Lady Dimitriscu that her eldest just falls asleep like that.
Cassandra Dimitriscu -
Ahhh the middle child of the Dimitriscu Family. She is a bit more childish than Bela, however she can sometimes be found being carried around like a doll at times.
One moment, she'll be resting on her mother's hip, another time can be a piggyback ride, and nine (9) times out of ten (10), she'll be held at the tucked under her mother's arm at the waist. She'll just hang there pretty casually.
All depends what mood she is in.
Daniela Dimitriscu -
You really never know with this hyperactive woman. She'll ask her mother to flex her arm, before suddenly grabbing onto it so she could hang there. Sometimes Fireman's carry.
Another time she was spotted being held by the ankles, upside down at her mother's back because she was acting like a bat. (Much to her mother's and sister's amusement.)
Another time, Daniela asked her mother to flex, she sat on Lady Dimitriscu's arm just to take her hat before pointing at what direction they should go. Mimicking her mother is a common thing to see here.
All three (3) Daughters at once -
Lady Dimitriscu never complained about carrying them around the castle. Her daughters are happy and that's all she ever asks for. Even if they all swarm her at once and form back last second to do so.
Oh how the Mighty Dragon loves her Trio of Bats.
____________________________
Salvatore Moreau -
This guy is just happy for some interaction with someone. But he is always anxious about it.
His excitement can occasionally cause him to throw up, but thankfully he warns her in time before doing so, so no accidents yet.
His back being sensitive means that the most comfortable way of being carried around is either by piggyback, or being held from under his arms.
Moreau rarely gets carried, he does mainly on his good days, but he generously returns the offer when the Dimitriscu Family are in the reservoir by pulling along a boat for them or using his mutated form as a means of having some fun swimming with the family.
____________________________
Karl Heisenberg -
Scruff of the neck, no hesitation or questions about it. Whenever Lady Dimitriscu and Heisenberg get into an argument, she would just pick him up by the back of his shirt and lift him up to eye level.
Doesn't stop him arguing back, however. A quick turn of her wrist and he would have his back to her. Or just so she can grab his belt and throw him somewhere. Hammer and all!
On a good day however, Lady Dimitriscu would carry him from under his arms and help him reach for something, he doesn't complain much about it really. He acts like a little pup at times if grabbed from the scruff of his neck.
Heisenberg occasionally gets carried around, but more so in arguments than anything else.
____________________________
Angie Beneviento -
Another Daniela actually. Angie would use her small size to sneak up to the tall lady and climb up her dress.
Aim of the game, make it to the hat. It is usually all for naught however, as Lady Dimitriscu always nabs her before she even reached her shoulders. She should really try and giggle discreetly.
The Doll would often team up with one of the Dimitriscu Daughters for a surprise attack on The Dragon Mother.
Other days, she would openly be seen sitting and dangling her legs from Lady Dimitriscu's shoulder. Occasionally whispering in her ear or saying what Donna needed and wanted to say.
Lady Dimitriscu will ALWAYS know when the little doll is hiding under her hat and peaking out from under it. Angie had never lost her hat yet when doing this, so why stop it? Beside, she has plenty more where that came from.
____________________________
Donna Beneviento -
This one was a work in progress really. The poor Dollmaker has Agoraphobia, the fear of leaving her safe space (her home) and the anxiety to go with it. It took Lady Dimitriscu a good while just to have her come over and visit the castle. Never forced, just extending the invitation every once in a while. Happiness swelled within Lady Dimitriscu when the Dollmaker finally gave a nod to accept.
Donna had often seen Lady Dimitriscu carry around her daughters in the castle. The Lady of the Castle was so different from the stern and strong woman she had often seen in meetings and debates. In front of her was a mother who has no hesitation to instantly drop the act in a heartbeat and be with her Little Bats.
It made Donna sad really. She barely remembered the times she was carried around by her parents and sister. Ever since they died, all her time was in isolation with her dolls.
Then one day, Lady Dimitriscu noticed Donna in the library, having some difficulty reaching a book she spotted and no Angie in sight. Donna accepted her help but was too nervous to speak to the older woman.
"May I just lift you up so you can take the book you want?" Lady Dimitriscu patiently asked with a soft smile, her usual pose more relaxed yet elegant as always.
She can see Donna's nervousness from under the veil, before the Dollmaker hesitantly lifts her arms up. And gently she was lifted to grab that book on herbal medicines and local flowers, before Lady Dimitriscu sets her down again. Before she leaves, Lady Dimitriscu felt a tug at her dress, turning to see Donna reach up again.
"You wished to be carried?" She asked, chuckling.
Donna almost regretted asking when she saw the tall woman chuckle. Embarrassed, she was going to dismiss the idea before suddenly she was swooped up onto the taller woman's shoulder, Donna clinging onto her head in surprise. The older woman chuckled before assuring her that it was ok. It is what family does after all.
She then comforts and assures the now crying Donna that it was true. She was crying from happiness.
Now, Donna is like another Bela, either on Lady Dimitriscu's shoulder or a piggyback. Most days, when they are alone and at Donna's own pace, she can be seen without the veil and occasionally with Lady Dimitriscu's hat on in it's stead.
And they have conversations too, not always long, never forced, used to be one-sided with silent answers. But how delighted she was and proud when she finally heard Donna quietly say, "thank you."
____________________________
And there you have it. Donna's ended up being more of a little story but I felt it necessary to explain how it comes about.
And that's my Head Canon for Lady Dimitriscu carrying her family around. Hope you enjoyed it. 💕🤗💕
If you wish to use these ideas then feel free to do so. All I ask is to be tagged and credited for the idea.
Hope you all have a great day! 💪😎💕

I always think of like, the reversal of what happened with the dimitrescu family in the game, like all three daughters die, lady D goes absolutely insane trying to kill ethan. But what if by some miracle or smth ethan had managed to kill lady d first? I think all three of the daughters would go absolutely apeshit hunting ethan down and ripping him to shreds because 'you killed our mama'
And I dunno I was thinking about this last night and decided someone else should suffer with me
I’ve thought of this, too!!
After they kill Ethan they stand around their mother’s broken body in silence, unsure on what to do or say anymore. What was there to do without their mother to guide them?
Ethan’s body is burned. The flames devour his flesh in their stead. None of them can bring themselves to feast upon him for what he’s done. It hurts too much.
They bury Alcina in the garden, bundling up in several layers so they can give her a proper funeral service, despite the harsh Romanian winter. They kneel in the snow-covered dirt, drinking from her veins one last time. Her blood had never tasted so stale before.
Ashes. It’s all ashes.
They hang her hat on the tree her grave sat beneath. Nobody says a word. Tears freeze to their faces. One-by-one, they leave.
There is nobody to greet them inside.
Mother Miranda, Moreau, Donna and Angie, even Heisenberg come to pay their respects. They all say the same thing, over and over again: I’m so sorry for your loss. She was a great mother. She loved you all dearly. None of it matters. Not any more. Who cares if she loved them or not if she is no longer there to give them that affection?
Time passes. Alcina’s death is hard on everyone. Daniela spends a lot of her days locked in Alcina’s bedroom, curled up in the blankets, crying. Cassandra vents her despair and anger on the maidens, practically living down in the dungeon, torturing and slaughtering. Bela, as the oldest, takes up the family business, but it’s so hard, so fucking hard because she doesn’t know how to do anything and it reminds her so much of her mom and she fears failure severely.
The sisters begin to grow distance, as they’re rarely around each other anymore, all too busy with their unhealthy coping mechanisms. They can’t depend on each other for comfort because they can’t even comfort themselves.
One day, six lonely months later, Bela goes out and visits her mother’s grave.
“Hi, Mama,” she says. “I brought you some things.”
She brandishes a bouquet of flowers to the grave, as if Alcina were actually standing there and looking grateful over the gift.
“They’re roses,” Bela tells the tomb. She swallowed thickly, biting back the lump welling up in her throat. “They reminded me of you.”
She tentatively sets the flowers down on the dirt.
“I—” The words catch in her throat. She scratches at her neck with one claw, trying to muster up the will to speak. “I was thinking about maybe trying different mixtures for the wine.” She pauses, took a breath, then goes on, forcing out a giggle alongside her sentence, “It’s probably gonna turn out surprise gross, though.” And then, much quieter, wringing her hands together, “I wish you were here to do it with me.”
Silence falls upon the girl and the grave. Bela’s hands are clasped tight and she brings them to her stomach, imagining what it would be like to find absolution in her claws. She would plunge and drag and drag and drag until there was nothing left of her but shredded flesh and blood, but that would not be enough, not for her. It would not give her her mother back. It would not give her the shouts and the laughs and the boisterous cries at all hours of the morning and night. That was not what Alcina would have done if it had been Bela that was murdered on that fateful day.
But she wasn’t as strong as Alcina.
Bela doesn’t really realize exactly how loud she is crying until her shaking breath hitches so high it sounds like a squeak. She blinks through the haze of tears and scrubs her eyes with her sleeve, but the merciless flow does not stop.
A little brown bird lands on a grave nearby and fluffs out its wet wings. A grazing deer is munching contently on some wild flowers. Some type of bug is buzzing in the grass somewhere from behind.
Looking around at this all, Bela is shocked by how the world keeps running and running while hers had stopped its run not so long ago.
The summer leaves are dancing around her, whisked from the towering oak trees by foggy gales and sent into a whirling axis in the sky. A humidly warm, but also bone-chillingly cold breeze is trying to offer a comfort that seems to be invisible and impalpable. There can’t be comfort. There can’t be reassurance. The pain is still too loud, the wound is still too raw: her heart and her soul aren’t ready to accept that there is a reason for what has happened; her mind is still trying to distinguish between reality and fantasy, between the soothing effect of a false illusion and the harsh truth of a world deprived by its most beautiful voice.
“Why?” She wonders this so often, but there is only pattering raindrops and whisking nature replying to her, and that lack of words is an absence that stings more than she can accept.
“Why?”
She has wondered for too long but still nothing has come up and maybe it will never be answered because sometimes life is like that, a storm in the middle of a summer day and its lingering residue following her for weeks and months. Maybe one day she’ll stop asking herself that but, for now, it’s just all she can think about, over and over again.
It doesn’t make sense.
Nothing makes sense and it has been like that since she saw the sight, just a few flashes of images in a room, blood and gunfire and a collapsing body, that had stumbled down her life and shattered it. She can still see them behind her eyes, can still feel the way her own heart had stopped beating as a black void started to envelop her. She still feels like she’s down there, trapped in a nightmare that no one knows how to stop or break.
It doesn’t make sense.
There is regret in her body language. There is a baggage full of words that should have been said and things that she should have done. Maybe, if she had done them, nothing would have ever happened.
Bela wishes she could go back in time. She wishes there was a way for her to erase all those tiny mistakes she’s made, all those times she wanted to reach out but, instead, turned her head away because it still hurt. Her mother was—is still—the most important thing in her life and, yet, she let her slip away in fear of what she would say if she showed any signs of weakness. Her image is everything and yet, what is left now? There’s no image to defend, there’s nothing left because Alcina’s death has destroyed everything.
So she wishes. She wonders and wishes that there is a way for her to save just a few lives.
Her life.
There are still tears in her eyes. She wants to believe it’s because of the weather and the wind but it’s just a useless alibi. She lets them fall, not ashamed anymore because there is no one around to watch her. But she feels like a hypocrite, she feels like she doesn’t have the right to cry that loss because she could have done so much to prevent her mother’s absence.
To prevent her death.
She knows it’s the truth, no matter how many times people keep telling her that she’s done nothing to cause the incident. She knows it’s the truth, no matter how many people try to explain how, sometimes, she can’t save everyone. That bad things just happen to good people.
“I’m sorry.”
She knows it’s too late.
She knows that it’s useless because Alcina’s not there to hear those words.
Regrets don’t leave Bela, not even now that she’s standing in front of the consequences of her own ignorance.
It’s her fault.
She keeps telling herself it as if this admission of truth can absolve her sin. It’s her fault because she said she would protect her family but it was always so easy to forget about it: there isn’t ever the need to- she had always been the one that needed help the most in the family it seemed. She had always been the one fate had chosen to deal bad cards: her mental health, her perfectionism, those idiotic statements and those stupid decisions.
But then there was her mother. Her mother’s comforting words, gentle touches, light hearted jokes to make her smile—the way she would just…be there and make things better in ways that were difficult to explain to the world that had never seen her in private.
Why didn’t Bela do the same for her? Or for any of her family members?
“I’m sorry.”
Bela is sorry. She could have done more. She could have told her more.
She should have known better.
Bela should have known better, but she didn’t. She didn’t want to face the truth. She didn’t want to realize that her superhero might have been needing a hero herself and she was too oblivious or too busy or too afraid to be up to the task.
She depended on her mother and now she’s lost.
Alone.

Note
the Dimitrescu's with their Titan s/o who protect them from the military force attacking the castle.
I'm assuming when you said Titan, you meant the greek mythology ones... not the anime ones.
Because as much as I love both... I can only focus on one. I hate my brain like that.
I'm adding up Donna too, hope you don't mind. From Ethan only.
Also, Reader can harness the respective Titans' powers.
Alcina Dimitrescu / Lady Dimitrescu
You heard a loud explosion from somewhere in the castle and quickly look at your wife and daughters in panic.
'Shit.' Was the first thought that came to mind. Then calm as you stand.
"Alcina. Take Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela in the basement." You growl as you harness your power.
"But Y/N I can help-"
"My love I know you can." You smile at Alcina then gently kiss her hand. "But I would rather you be safe."
Alcina sighs in defeat and leaves with the three girls. You crack your neck as you leave her room.
"Those assholes are going to get what they deserve." You close your eyes and hear their footsteps. They were everywhere. Even in the goddamn courtyard. You sigh as you activate your traps.
"Years of work, you fucking pieces of shits." You hear their terrified screams and hum. You love having Koios's powers coursing through you. You jump down then wink at a terrified soldier as you punch through his helmet. Everyone else looks at you and you just smile then wink as you begin punching through them.
"Fuck! Retreat! Now!" Chris says to his squad as he sees your figure making it's way towards him.
"REDFIELD!" You call as you drag a soldier's body with you. He stops then turns to you. "The fuck did you think would happen?" You toss him the body and he flinches as the body lands in front of him. "That I would leave my house? My wife's daughters?" You growl. "You should have known better than to attack this Castle, Chris."
"I know! But they insisted I swear! It was not me, Y/LN!" You growl.
"Dimitrescu. I married Alcina. Get. It. Right."
"Got it! Dimitrescu!" You groan. Then turn to the castle. You glare at Chris.
"This better not be repeated. Or else I will fucking leave this village." You take a step towards him. "And I-" Another step. "Will hunt-" Another step. "Everyone in BSAA." Chris falls as you tower over him. "Got that?" He nods without a sound and you leave without a word.
When you get back, you see the maids are cleaning up the bodies and collecting blood. At least, they were practical.
"Thank you, Y/N." The grand chambermaid says and you tilt your head. "You punched them in the head, it'll be a lot easier collecting their bloods." You hum then smile.
"Thanks for cleaning up after me."
"You're welcome, Lady Dimitrescu." You grin then get inside.
"Darling!" Alcina calls out to you but a blurb gets to you first. You grunt as Daniela collides with you.
"Mama! Are you alright!? Are you hurt anywhere!?" You chuckle as you pat her head.
"I'm alright, Dani. Really." You smirk. "I'm a Titan, remember?"
"Still, darling." Alcina raises your head so you would look at her. "We all worry." You look at your daughters then smile.
"I'm fine. Really." You notice the ring on Alcina's finger then grin. "I have everything I can ever need."
Donna Beneviento
In more than one way, you've always had Hyperion's power coursing through you. With observation, you knew exactly how everything worked around the Beneviento house.
So when Ethan came to the village, all of your senses just screamed at you. You knew he was dangerous. Before you knew it, your feet were moving and you were evacuating the citizens who didn't have the cadou in their body.
You wrestled down Alcina's daughters and even had to make Alcina unconscious. Her devotion to Miranda had always evaded you. Moreau was convinced easily because you were Donna's lover. Something that he also wishes for himself.
Karl just smirked at you as he went with his siblings, needing no convincing. Donna was worried as you prepare yourself for Ethan's arrival.
"Y/N, are you sure about this?" She asks in her own voice, worry lacing every word. You smile as you kiss her hand.
"I am, my love. Don't worry." You assure her with a wink and send her to Karl. He was the one who would evacuate everyone.
You wait for Ethan's arrival and even snicker as he walks around confused at the state of the Village.
You greet him as he comes to Castle Dimitrescu. Seeing as it was where Karl found him before getting him to Mother Miranda.
He tries to shoot you but you catch the bullet mid-air and smile.
"I mean no harm, Ethan. I actually want to help you."
"Why?" You shrug.
"For my love? The family that actually cares about each other? Not being alone... or dying by your hands?"
"What?" You hum then give him some guns.
"Just prepare. Mother Miranda won't go down without a fight."
And she didn't. She even screamed at you for betraying her but you remind her of one thing.
"I love Donna. Not you."
You and Ethan save Rose from Miranda and you make sure to push them away before detonating the bomb.
Donna was frantic when she sees both Ethan and Rose but you were nowhere to be seen. Then they heard the explosion and Donna's face falls. But just then a figure was coming from the sky then lands with a puff of smoke.
"Fucking underworld!" You shout as you stand and get rid of the remaining smoke surrounding you. You focus on Chris and lift him with his collar. "Did you really have to put up that much!? Fucking asshole!? If I wasn't a Titan, I would've died!"
"Y/N." You let him go in favor of turning to Donna with a smile. She cries and you panic.
"What's wrong, my love!? Are you hurt!? Did anybody hurt you!?" Donna just hugs you and you smile as you tighten the hug. "I'm okay, Donna."
It will take a long time to rebuild the village but you don't mind. As you long as you were with her.
Bela Dimitrescu
You were with Bela in the library when Daniela's scream pierced through your ears. You and Bela quickly went to her younger sister who pointed outside.
Soldiers are coming through and it made you angry.
"Bela. Can you take both Cassandra and Daniela somewhere safe? Since Lady Alcina is still out."
"But Y/N we can-"
"No. The cold is still prominent. You'll only put yourselves in danger. Go somewhere safe. I'll deal with these assholes."
You sigh as you feel Iapetus's powers coursing through you. There is a reason why you don't go to hunts with the Dimitrescu sisters.
Because if you did. You'll overdo it.
You were on the roof on the courtyard and you crack your neck as they arrive and point their guns at you. A golden spear appears as you hold out your hand.
"Deaths! For all of you!" Your eyes turn red and you start your onslaught.
In just minutes, they were all wiped out and you were standing over countless bodies. You sigh as you dismiss your spear. You get inside the castle and slide down the doors. Bela comes out of nowhere and you chuckle.
"I thought I told you to go somewhere safe." She nods then pulls you to stand. She hugs you and you sigh in relief.
"I am. I feel safer in your arms."
Cassandra Dimitrescu
It was night and all three of them were on a hunt. You were on the Castle's most highest point, just observing your love and her sisters. Then you heard massive vehicles and growl. You get down and go to Cassandra.
"Y/N! Are you-"
"No. The military is coming. Go back to the castle and warn Lady Alcina. Tell her to go somewhere safe with you guys."
"Their bullets won-"
"I know! But still. Cass. Please. I'll protect you so please." Cassandra sees the sorrow in your eyes then sigh in defeat. She pulls you then kisses you hard.
"Come back to me." You smile then nod.
"Always." You stretch your body as Oceanus's powers course through it. You hum then go greet the unwanted guests. It was a good thing that the Castle had it's own lake.
With a flick of your wrist, the vehicles were stopped by a massive wave of water. All of the soldiers got out and you hum.
Two dozens. You make quick work of them with your powers.
You look at their Captain.
"Chris Redfield. I would say it's nice to see you but then I'd be lying." You raise his body with water and your eyes take on a dangerous glint. "What are you doing here? Why are you targeting this castle?"
"There are reports. Of massive Bio Organic Weapons in this area."
"Oh."
"We were sent to kill them." You hum then smile.
"Tell the BSAA to leave this village alone. I'll deal with Miranda in due time."
"But-"
"Chris. Do you really want to drown right now?" He shakes his head and you smile. "Good. Now go. Tell them that Y/N, the titan of lost time shall take care of matters here."
"Of course. You won't attack us, right?" You smirk as you turn.
"As long as you leave us alone, I won't." You get back to the castle as Chris goes back.
You get inside and look blankly as Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela looked ready to kill whoever went through the door. You just hug Cassandra as Alcina looks at you.
"I assume the soldiers are taken care of." You nod and look at her.
"They're all disposed of. Lady Dimitrescu."
"And you? Any injuries at all?" You shake your head.
"Just tired." Cassandra drags you after saying goodnight to her mother. You were ready to fall asleep as she opens her door.
You plop down on her bed and was asleep in just mere seconds. She joins you after she fixes your position.
When you cuddle her, she hums in satisfaction.
Daniela Dimitrescu
It was supposed to be a peaceful day. But then a loud explosion can be heard on the gate. You and Daniela raced downstairs to see what it was. Alcina greeted you.
"What is it? Who is it?"
"Soldiers. The military seems to have gotten wind of us." You groan.
"Pain in the ass." You sigh. "Let me take care of them." Daniela pulls you.
"What? Y/N, no-"
"Dani. Daughter. I believe you are underestimating your lover." You smile at Daniela.
"She's right." You wink. "I'll just be 5 minutes, tops." You open the doors and the explosions stopped. Looks like they finally opened it. Mnemosyne's powers are coursing through you and you get a sword from the entrance. Your sword.
And despite not fighting for more than decades now, it seems that your enhanced memory comes in handy in times like this. You still remember every move. Every warrior you've defeated. Every single thing they did while they fought you.
When the battle ends, your sword is absolutely soaked in blood and your clothes are more than tainted. You sigh as you get back to the castle. You have to apologize to the maid because of your bloody clothes.
Daniela hugs you as you get inside and Alcina nods at you, a certain glint in her eyes.
You hug Daniela back and place your sword back to it's rightful place.
You get inside her room and take a shower before changing clothes, apologizing profusely to the amused grand chambermaid who thanks you for protecting the castle.
That night, as you slept through the night. Daniela thanks the stars that she met you.
A/N:
This took too long. Damn.
I still have requests to write then I'll get back to writing the Loving You sequel and other stuff that I'm working on.
Comments and thoughts are always welcome!
Thank you for reading!

Disney Hercules Headcannons, Theories, and Ideas
This is just a list of the theories, headcannons, and ideas I came up with for Disney's Hercules. I might add more later on, so watch out
-Nyx, the Goddess of Night, is very good friends with Hades and she owns a nightclub down in the Underworld called 'The Void'
-Hades and Eris, the Goddess of Discord and Chaos, used to date, but Hades broke up with her due to Eris being too wild and clingy
-While they were together, Persephone beat, insulted, and abused Hades and forced him to do whatever she wanted him to do until Nyx, Erebus, and Thanatos stood up for Hades and forced Persephone to leave the Underworld and not come back
-Hades had no children with Persephone, mostly because she refused to have children with him
-Persephone cheated on Hades with Prince Adonis, just to get Hades' attention
-Macaria and Melinoe are air nymphs and Zagreus is a demigod
-Helios, the God of the Sun, is the father of Persephone, not Zeus
-Persephone had three demigod children with Adonis. Their names are Plutus, Obelix, and Deianira
-Zagreus is the son of Persephone and an unknown man
-Metis, the Goddess of Good Counsel, is the also the mother Ares, the God of War
-Thanatos, the God of Death, and Hades are very good friends and they even have a personal handshake
-Zeus and Hera had six more children after Hercules. Their names are Amoratta, Parthenia, Wisteria, Averos, Naidon, and Margalo
-Apollo and Athena have a son named Oleus
-Harmonia, the Goddess of Harmony and Peace, is the daughter of Aphrodite and Hephaestus
-Hecate, the Goddess of Witchcraft and Necromancy, has a crush on Thanatos and she tries to flirt with him every chance she gets… but he turns her down every time
-Circe is the daughter of Hecate and an unknown mortal man
-After living a long life together, Megara and Hercules both ascended to Mt. Olympus and became gods
-When he was younger, Hades used to be very close with his mother Rhea, the Titaness of Motherhood… until the Titanomachy, that was when they drifted apart
-Adonis used to be Megara's first boyfriend, until he ran off with Persephone, who was disguised as a human girl
-After the weaving contest between Athena and Arachne, Hades was the one who cursed Arachne, not Athena. He was a hidden spectator and when he saw the girl’s superior tapestry, he was greatly offended by it. So he cursed the human weaver to weave forever as a hideous spider monster
-Hades used to own a magical artifact called the Ember of Blue, but it was stolen from him by his father, Cronus, the Titan God of Time, and it was hidden away during the War with the Titans
-As a boy whenever Hades felt angry, sad, or scared, Rhea would take him to a secret temple they only know about and they would dance together until Hades was happy again
-When Hades was little, he had a huge argument with Cronus and he was so angry and upset that he ran away and hid in a cave… only to be chased out by the most horrifying creature he had ever seen: a huge black blob-like creature with giant rusty claws, a gaping mouth filled with rows of razor sharp teeth, and one giant, bulging red eye
-Persephone is a spoiled, selfish, and jealous goddess, always putting on a kind and innocent façade to get others (mortal or divine) to do what she wants
-Medusa was born a gorgon, and she is the youngest out of her and her sisters, Euryale and Stheno
-While she was growing up, Persephone was spoiled rotten by her father, Helios
-Apate, the Goddess of Deception and Lying, and Peitho, the Goddess of Persuasion, are good friends with Persephone and they like to gossip and spread false rumors about the other Gods and Goddesses
-Hades inherited his fiery temper from his mother, Rhea
-Minthe is able to turn herself into a mint plant at will
-Cerberus had started out as a regular mortal puppy until Hecate decided to place a curse on the poor thing and turn him into a three headed beast, and a younger Hades felt pity for the cursed dog so he took him in and trained him to be his guard dog
-Macaria, Zagreus, and Melinoe may not be gods, but they work for Hades in the Underworld
-Instead of a goddess, Ker is a sly spirit of violent death that works in the Underworld
-Eons ago, Hecate created an herb that is extremely toxic to mortal beings, but it has an opiate-like effect on the Gods
-Amphitrite can transform her legs into a fish tail whenever she pleases
-Hades was the one who removed Arke's wings and imprisoned her in Tartarus, not Zeus
-From time to time, Hermes likes to flirt with Iris, the Goddess of the Rainbow
-Elpis, the Spirit of Hope, is good friends with Zeus and Hera's youngest daughter, Margalo
-Whenever Hades falls asleep after a huge meal, he tends to sleepwalk and he gets a really bad stomachache
-Leuke and Minthe each had a massive crush on Hades and they competed to win his affection… but they both failed miserably
-Orphne works for Hades in the Underworld, but she usually keeps to herself and she doesn't really interact with him very much
-Lamia used to be a well-respected human queen, but Hera transformed the queen into a serpent-like creature when she attempted and failed to seduce Zeus. Hades even tried to recruit Lamia for his uprising, but she turned him down flat
-During the Titanomachy, Hades stole Cronus' magical sundial and Cronus tried to get his youngest son to join him and the other Titans, but Hades refused. He and his older brothers beat their father and locked him away in the deepest part of Tartarus and Hades hid the Sundial in the Underworld where Cronus would never find it
-Hades knows Erebus, the God of Darkness and Shadows, but they rarely hang out as good friends. They're more like casual acquaintances and they only exchange an occasional “hello” sometimes
-Chloris, the Goddess of Flowers, is a total hippie and she likes to throw parties with Bacchus, the God of Wine and Revelry
-Narcissus is the God of Vanity and Pride
-Fortuna, the Goddess of Luck and Fortune, is something of a gambler. She enjoys giving mortals luck, either good or bad, and seeing what happens… and the Fates don't like her for that very reason
-Macaria, Zagreus, and Melinoe usually go around and tell people that they are the children of Hades and Persephone… but they’re NOT. Hades always dispels these rumors very quickly and the three of them are always brutally punished for it
-After Hercules and Megara were married, they had five children together. Their names are Arsenius, Phoebe, Elena, Matthias, and Deicoon
-Tempest, an Amazon Warrior, had a son named Achilles. He never knew his father, but doesn't care since he's a mama's boy. Achilles more drawn to doing theater, dramas, dance, and music over fighting in wars despite being named after a great warrior like his namesake
-Adonis and Helen of Troy were married after graduation and had two daughters named Aurea and Dalia
-Cassandra ended up falling in love with Icarus, they got married, and had two sons named Jenos and Dion
-After graduation, Icarus became a well-known inventor and Cassandra became a wise and famous oracle
-Helen of Troy and Adonis rule a kingdom of their own
-Hebe, the Goddess of Youth, has a pet eagle named Omega
-During the time of Hades’ banishment in the River Styx, Thanatos and Nyx were tasked to rule the Underworld together in Hades’ absence, but they both missed him terribly
-Geras, the God of Old Age, used to flirt with Hebe until Hera stepped in and told him to back off and leave her daughter alone
-In the Underworld, Geras likes to tick Hades off by doing things like leaving his dentures on the throne and pretending to be hard of hearing, which drives Hades up a wall
-Hephaestus is very close with his daughter, Harmonia, but he’s also a little overprotective of her
-The Sirens used to be ordinary naiads and playmates of Persephone, but Demeter cursed them to be monsters when they failed to rescue Persephone when she was abducted to the Underworld
-Nyx has an unusual relationship with Hemera, the Goddess of the Day. They have their differences and they can sometimes butt heads on certain subjects, but they usually get along rather well
-Eos, the Goddess of the Dawn, is a total glamour girl. She enjoys fashion and loves to accessorize, especially with bracelets
-Aether, the God of Light, is a bit of a rock star. He loves to sing and rock out and he has a very sweet relationship with Hemera
-Aura, the Goddess of the Breeze, is something of a hippie and enjoys meditating
-Gelos, the God of Laughter, is the official jester of Mt. Olympus
-Hades rarely interacts with Moros, the God of Doom. Hades considers him the type of guy you wouldn’t want to grab an Ambrosia with
-Amoratta is the Goddess of Family
-Parthenia is the Goddess of Honor
-Wisteria is the Goddess of Cleverness
-Averos is the God of Courage
-Naidon is the God of Loyalty
-Margalo is the Goddess of Hope
-As a child, Hades was always a troublemaking rascal. He had a dark and strange sense of humor growing up and he used to spend his time playing cruel and unusual practical jokes and tricks on the other Gods and Goddesses, especially on his father and older brothers. Oddly enough, Rhea never found her son’s pranks funny… and that’s why Hades usually received timeouts most of the time
-Hedone, the daughter of Cupid and Psyche and the Goddess of Pleasure, is a super sweet and happy-go-lucky goddess and she’s very good friends with Hebe and Margalo
-Eileithyia, the Goddess of Childbirth, is the younger twin sister of Hebe
-Hyperion, the Titan God of the Heavenly Light, is the father of the Muses
-Mnemosyne, the Titaness of Memory, adores her daughters the Muses and she taught them everything they know
-Tyche, the Goddess of Chance, was born blind, but she doesn’t mind it
-Mania, the Goddess of Insanity, is not only a mentally unstable goddess who easily goes berserk at the drop of a hat. She’s also incredibly paranoid and often drives Hades nuts with trivial things that bother her in the slightest
-Nephele, the Goddess of Hospitality, owns a hotel on Mt. Olympus called ‘The Imperial Heights Plaza’
-Elpis is a happy and energetic spirit who always want to help others
-The Charites, the Goddesses of  Charm, Beauty, Nature, Human Creativity, and Goodwill, adore Aphrodite and they all look up to her
-Metis and Zeus used to be married until Metis called things off when she noticed the way Zeus was looking at Hera. So now she can’t stand Hera and whenever she visits, Metis does everything she can to ruin Hera’s day
-Aletheia, the Goddess of Truth, is usually calm and collected, but she’s also a total truth nut and she hates it when people lie. She and Hades don’t get along very well for that very reason
-Ker likes to drink smoothies or slushies made with the blood of her victims, which grosses Hades out so much that he usually wants to throw up
-Before Lamia transformed into the monster she is today, she and Hera had a brutal cat fight over Zeus
-Hades was very annoyed by Leuke and Minthe’s efforts to win his affection. He even threatened to smite Minthe if she didn’t leave him alone
This is all I've got so far, but feel free to tell me what you think and tell me which one is your favorite

Moon Chosen by PC Cast: About the Book + Chapter 1
First Thing’s First: Why did I buy this book?
I really like PC Cast’s earlier work, The Goddess Summoning Series and Tales of Parthelon, they’re well written, witty, and fun. They’re also Romance Novels. (The one’s I have most issue with are the second in Parthelon (Divine by Choice) and the last in Goddess Summoning (Goddess of Legend)) I started disliking her work when she and her daughter wrote The House of Night Series which is . . . disgusting.
Here’s a short list of wrongs from Fandom Hates People of Color
The MC killed two black men for no reason
Another link
Something people always applaud it for is that it doesn’t slut-shame because the main character has a whole bunch of partners and that is just . . . wrong. It does slut-shame other characters via the MC’s misogyny. Also the main character having multiple partners isn’t a good thing because she’s CHEATING on all of them.
Case in point: her ex almost died and ended up in the hospital so she lost her virginity to her teacher (this is statutory rape btw, he was also manipulating her but somehow she still agreed to it while thinking the man she loved was dying???) who she’d been cheating on said ex with and then later when she gets back together with her ex and he’s paranoid the narrative treats it like he’s being paranoid and jealous for no reason despite the fact she cheated on him with three different guys
just. yikes.
So when that series ended and I saw PC Cast was going to do a book alone I wondered “Is everything bad in House of Night from her daughter? How much is from her?” I was also curious because Moon Chosen would be PC Cast’s first solo YA novel.
Let me tell you right here and now that’s it was not all her daughter.
Moon Chosen is a YA novel published by St. Martin's Griffin in 2016 and it has one sequel entitled Sun Warrior (2017).
The Cover:
Tumblr media
It’s not bad. One of the reasons I got it was because of the cover. I especially like the sun-like o (I think it’s supposed to be moon-like but . . .)
Goodreads Summary:
Chosen to embrace her true identity. Chosen to follow her destiny. Chosen to change her world.
Mari is an Earth Walker, heir to the unique healing powers of her Clan, but she has been forced to turn from her duties, until she is chosen by a special animal ally, altering her destiny forever. When a deadly attack tears her world apart, Mari reveals the strength of her powers and the forbidden secret of her dual nature as she embarks on a mission to save herself and her people. It is not until Nik, the son of the leader from a rival, dominating Tribe, strays across her path that Mari experiences something she has never felt before…
Now evil is coming, and with it, a force more terrible and destructive than the world has ever seen, leaving Mari to cast the shadows from the earth. By breaking Clan Law and forming an alliance with Nik, she must make herself ready. Ready to save her people. Ready to save herself and Nik. Ready to embrace her true destiny…and battle the forces that threaten to destroy them all.
Now, there’s a lot to unpack here. PC Cast always uses mythology in her books, focusing on European mythologies such as Greek, Celtic, and Roman. Since the MC in House of Night’s Native American heritage was NOT handled well I was already worried when I realized this story almost definitely took place in a fantasy North America (Hint: The series title is Tales of a New World).
I also want everyone to know that the top two reviews on Goodreads were both 1 stars. XD Here and here.
Now, reminder that when I first got this book like 2 years ago I couldn’t even get past PAGE 2
Without Further Ado: Chapter 1
There’s a lot to unpack here so I’m literally going to transcribe the entire first 2 pages to ya’ll because it is physically painful to read and I want all of you to share my pain.
The contagious sound of women’s laughter filled the warm, tidy burrow.
“Oh, Mari! That is not an illustration from the myth I just told you.”
Mari’s mother held the sheet of handmade paper in one hand and pressed the other hand against her mouth, unsuccessfully trying to hold back another bout of laughter.
“Mama, your job is to tell the stories. My job is to sketch them. That’s our game, right? Our favorite game.”
“Well, yes,” Leda said, still trying to fix her expression to a more sober one. “I do tell the stories, but you tend to sketch what you think you hear.”
“I don’t see the problem with that.” Mari moved to stand beside her mother and studied the newly finished sketch with her. “This is exactly what I saw as you were telling the story of Narcissus and Echo.”
If they’re in North America . . . why are they talking about Greek gods? This tells me that at least Mari’s mother Leda isn’t Native American. (As also evidenced from their names.)
“Mari, you made Narcissus look like a young man turning into a flower. Awkwardly.  He has one hand that is a leaf and the other that is still a hand. The same with his--” Leda stifled a giggle. “Well, with several other parts of his anatomy. And he has a mustache and a silly look on his face--though I do admit it is an amazing talent you have that can bring a silly-looking half flower, half man, to life.” Leda pointed to the sketch and the ghostly nymph who Mari had somehow made to look bored and annoyed as she watched the transformation of Narcissus. “You made Echo look--” Leda hesitated, obviously searching for the right words.
“Fed up with Narcissus and his ego?” Mari offered.
Leda gave up all pretense of admonishment and laughed out loud. “Yes, that is exactly how you made Echo look, though that is not the story I told.”
“Well, Leda.” Mari used her mother’s given name as she waggled her brows at her. “I was listening to your story and as I was drawing I decided that something was definitely left out of the ending.”
Even I know this is too much telling instead of showing.
“The ending? Really?” Leda bumped her daughter with her shoulder. “And stop calling me Leda.”
“But, Leda, that’s your name.”
“To the rest of the world. To you my name is Mother.”
“Mother? Really? It’s so--”
“Respectful and traditional?” This time Leda offered to finish her daughter’s thought.
“More like boring and old,” Mari said, eyes shining as she waited for her mother’s predictable response.
“Boring and old? Did you just call me boring and old?”
“What? Me? Call you boring and old? Never, Mama, never!” Mari giggled and held her hand up in surrender.
This is not how mothers and daughters talk to each other? Gods I miss when PC wrote Romance novels. She is obviously not in her element in YA novels and doesn’t understand that - considering I started reading her work back in middle school and never had any trouble understanding it - she doesn’t need to change her writing style to apply to teenagers. I’m pretty sure that’s what’s happening because it reads more like House of Night than anything else I’ve read of hers so I don’t think it’s devolving I think it’s a deliberate choice.
“All fixed,” She said, holding up the sketch for Leda to inspect.
“Mari, his eyes are crossed,” Leda said.
“The rest of the story made me think he wasn’t too smart. So I made him look not very smart.”
I’ve not even gone half a page and already there’s this ableist crap and Mari shaming her mother for having been a teen mother.
Okay so Mari just named 4 Clans: Clan Weaver, Clan Fisher, Clan Miller, and Clan Wood. How many clans are there and do they all have specializations which give them their names?
[Mari] “Blueberries! Really, Mama? That would be wonderful. I love the color of ink I make with them. It’s a nice change from the black stain I get from walnuts.”
What?
[Leda] “I do, and I’m looking forward to dyeing a new cloak for you this spring, but I admit freely that I would rather eat a blueberry pie!”
WHAT?
So Mari brings up that Leda’s name is from a story and then mentions that her grandmother Cassandra did not name things sensibly. Then . . .
“You know very well that Moon Women always name their daughters whatever is whispered to them on the wind by the Great Earth Mother. My mother, Cassandra, was named by her mother, Penelope. I heard your lovely name whispered by our Earth Mother the full moon night before you were born.”
“My name is boring.” Mari sighed. “Does that mean the Earth Mother thinks I’m boring?”
“No, that means the Earth Mother thinks we should make up a story to go with your name--a story all your own.”
This reads like Mari’s 10 years old. She’s 16-17. So their clan is the Moon Clan and so far they’ve only mentioned Moon Women, no Moon Men and Mari’s father is not from the Moon Clan.
Woah okay here we go.
“Mari, sweet girl, I cannot tell another story tonight, though I wish I could, sunset is not far off, and tonight the moon will be full and brilliant. The needs of the Clan will be great.”
Mari opened her mouth to plead with Leda to stay just for a few moments more, to put her needs before those of the Clan, but before she could speak her small, selfish desire her mother’s body twitched spasmodically, shoulders trembling, head jerking painfully and uncontrollably. Though she had already turned from her daughter, as always trying to shield her from the change night brought with it. Mari knew all too well what was happening.
. . . She took her mother’s hand, holding it in both of hers, hating how cold it had become--hating the pale silver-gray tinge that was beginning to spread across her skin. And wishing, always wishing, that she could soothe the pain that visited her mother with the setting of the sun every night of her life.
Or . . . not? I’m . . . very confused because Mari’s sad she took up her mother’s time till after sunset which causes her mother pain but then . . . continues taking up her time??? Like after her mother goes through this pain they start . . . exchanging gifts? Her mother made her a flower crown that’s called a Maiden . . . Moon . . . Crown. What?
[I didn’t transcribe this part but I want you all to know that the words “glowmoss” and “glowshrooms” (“which suspended . . . like organic chandeliers”) were actually used.]
Men have finally been mentioned and it doesn’t look good.
“. . . I’m afraid this spring moon won’t be as festive as usual. Not after so many Earth Walkers have been recently captured by the Companions. The Earth Mother feels unusually restless to me, as if uncomfortable changes are coming. Our women have been filled with more sorrow than usual, and our men--well, we know the anger the Night Fever brews within our men.”
“They won’t just be angry, they’ll be dangerous. Damn Scratchers!
“Mari, don’t call your people that. It makes them sound like monsters.”
“They’re only half my people, Mother, and at night they are monsters. [wow wtf] Or at least the men are. What would happen if you didn’t wash them of the Night fever every three days? Wait, I know what would happen. It’s why a Moon Woman’s burrow has to always be hidden, even from her own Clan.” [WTF. btb they live in an actual burrow underground] Frustration and fear caused her words to be harsh, and as soon as she’d spoken them the sadness that filled her mother’s eyes made her regret such harshness.
“Mari, you must never forget that at night, even I have within me the capacity to be a monster.”
“Not you! I didn’t mean you. I’d never mean you!
“But the moon is all that keeps me from becoming more Scratcher than Earth Walker. Sadly, our people cannot call down the moon as I can, so I must do it for them as least once every three nights. Tonight is a Third Night, as well as the spring full moon. Our Clan will gather, and I will Wash [why is this capitalized?] them so that their lives may be open to accept love and joy instead of mired in melancholy and anger . . .”
I have no doubt this is going to be another Native American werewolves story. Seriously? SERIOUSLY? It goes into Mari being self-deprecating after this because she wants more than to be a part of her Clan and then talks about how Leda’s been hiding the truth about Mari her whole life. Presumably, that Mari is only half Moon Clan.
Okay so they talk about Mari’s power and how she keeps failing to do what her mother does but her mother assures her that nothing’s wrong because she “sane” with no sign of “madness or pain.” Leda needs to choose and apprentice but Mari’s wavering because she doesn’t think she’s good enough. Leda wants Mari to join her for the ceremony that night.
So apparently Mari has a choice to-be or not-to-be a Moon Woman?
Leda goes into pain again and Mari agrees to go with her.
Oh. oh no.
“Let me touch up your face. We’ll need to dye your hair again soon, but not tonight.”
Mari stifled a sigh and tilted her face up so that her mother could reapply the muddy mixture that kept their secret.
Leda worked in silence, thickening her daughter’s brow, flattening her cheekbones, and then, lastly, smearing the dirty, sticky clay substance down her neck and arms.
Brownface. Wow. I can’t even.
In other news Mari accidentally touched sunlight which caused a filigree pattern and a rush of power to spread over the skin on her hand even through the brownface.
So. Mari’s lighter skinned than the rest of her clan and she has an affinity for the sun instead of the moon. (btw that’s the opposite of how it should be genetically but whatever) Her mother and her have been hiding this for 17 years by keeping her locked up in the burrow during the day and hidden under clothing and brownface while she’s out at night. Wow.
This chapter was only 10 pages.

Life and Home
Something I wrote for Ao3 as a gift for Songofpsalms297.
Cassandra believes that there is nothing more beautiful than having people to come home to.  (AU)
It was a long flight after a long business trip away from home. Cassandra was happy to be walking up the familiar driveway that led to the very familiar house.  The occupants must have heard the sound of her luggage bag’s wheels rolling against the pavement, because the door quickly opened and a reddish blonde blur came flying towards her.                    “Mama’s home!” said the little girl as Cassandra quickly scooped her into her arms and held her tightly.  Laying a kiss on top of her daughter’s head, she glanced up and noticed her husband leaning in the doorway with his arms crossed and lazy grin on his face.                    “I have missed you terribly, my darling.” she said as she focused her attention back on the girl.  The child was six years old and took after her father in many ways, but her features were very similar to her mother’s.  She clung tightly to her mother as if the woman would disappear otherwise.  Cassandra’s heart broke every time, knowing that her work often had such an impact on her family.                    “We missed you too.” Varric said as he walked up to his wife and daughter.  Cassandra smiled and leaned down to give her husband a brief but warm kiss on his lips.                    “Eww, gross!” said the little girl, who buried her head into her mother’s shoulder to hide from the sight of her parents kissing.                    “It’s not so bad, Antonia.  A fact that you won’t be discovering until you are in your 30’s.”  Varric said, his eyes still on his wife.                    Cassandra loved her job and the many opportunities she had to help her country as one of the top two presidential advisors.  She had a good rapport with President Dorothea, who was willing to heed the advice of her advisors and council members.  As a result, the country flourished under her leadership and Cassandra was happy to be one of the hands helping it along.  But the job also came with a steep price, which involved her missing time with her family.   Trying to balance her career with raising a child was not as easy as she had hoped it would be.  Varric was very understanding of the importance of her work, but that did not mean that it was not a source of contention between the two.  There had been many arguments, her on the unfairness of the bond he shared with their daughter and him on the fact that she had missed out on several important milestones (first word, first steps, first day of school, etc).  Despite the fighting and the hurtful words that get thrown about, they manage to work through it.  She even dared to say it made them stronger.  The mind-blowing reunion sex wasn’t so bad either.                    Varric took her luggage as they went inside the house and Cassandra paused in the doorway and taking in the familiar smells and surroundings.  She was extremely glad to be home, to be with her little family and not stuffy politicians.  She had missed the sweet laughter of her daughter, the warm embrace of her husband, and happiness that she could only feel when she was with them.
They were now sitting on the plush red sofa, listening to Antonia regale her mother with tales of her little adventures at school with her friends, and the fun things she got to do with Auntie Hawke and Uncle Broody.  There were some misadventures with Auntie Rivaini, but Varric quickly headed off any outraged protests by explaining the full context of the situation.  The look she gave him was dubious, but she let it go… for now.  It wasn’t until after proudly showing off a beautifully carved halla that was made by Auntie Lavellan that the little girl started yawning.  It had gotten late and it was well past her bedtime.                    Varric allowed Cassandra the task of tucking their daughter in while watching both of them affectionately.  He would later tell her that he loved the domesticity she exuded while reading to the little being that they both created in love.  How having her home had completed them.  Seven years ago, if someone dared to suggest that she even seemed domestic, she would have protested.  Now she didn’t mind, not if it meant having people who loved her and waited for her.
Once Antonia drifted off to dreamland (the ability to dream inherited from her human half), the couple quietly slipped to their bedroom where Varric could finally give his wife the welcome home he had been waiting to give her all day.  He was in the middle of kissing her senseless when the loud and obnoxious, to him anyway, sound of her ringtone interrupted them.  The dwarven author knew that he could just continue and she would eventually forget that she even owned a phone, but he saw the anxiousness in her eyes and knew that it was better to just let her answer it.  Of course, it was work, and since the political climate has been rather stormy lately, Cassandra would want to answer in the case of bad news.  He situated himself on the side of their bed while Cassandra dug her phone out of the pocket of the pants that they discarded on the floor.                  “Leliana, what is it? She demanded, sexual frustration making her tone sharp.  He could hear a faint voice coming from the phone though he couldn’t make out the words, his wife’s eyes narrowed as she listened to whatever it was Leliana was saying to her.                  “I don’t think that’s… No, I just… What do you mean that’s an order?” the voice continued on and Cassandra sighed in resignation. Varric could feel himself becoming angry.  Usually when she sighed liked that after speaking to Leliana or one of Dorothea’s many assistants, it meant she was packed up to leave the next day.                    “I guess I have no choice but to accept… Yes, thank you Leliana.  We will talk later.”  Cassandra ended the call and looked up to notice that Varric was not looking pleased.                    “I take it that you will have to pack soon.” It wasn’t a question.                  “Yes.”                  “You just got home.”                  “Leliana said that Dorothea ordered me…”                  “Haven’t you done enough for awhile?  Have you not sacrificed enough for them?”                  “Varric…” she began but he interrupted.                  “There has to come a time when you say enough, Cassandra.”                  Cassandra, not Seeker, her old title that became an endearment.  He was not happy.                  “Varric…”                  “No!  I know that you detest ultimatums but at some point, you will have to choose between your family and your… “ He was interrupted as she pressed her lips against his mouth.  Her dwarven husband struggled against the wonderful sensation of having her mouth against his before he finally gave in, both of them opening their lips to allow their tongues to dance, re-stoking the fires that were doused so rudely moments ago.                    She finally ended the kiss, though reluctantly and looked him in the eyes.                  “Stop talking for a moment, dwarf, and I will tell you what she had said.”                  He was still recovering from the kiss, so all he could do was nod.                    “Leliana said that the president recognizes all of my hard work during this whole referendum business and felt that I could use a long well-deserved, break.”                    She kept her eyes on his face, trying to gauge his reaction, which took awhile but a smile crept until he was grinning.                  “That’s great!  Did they say how long?” He set his hands around her waist, slowly running his fingers up and down her side.                    “For about two weeks before I have to fly out to Orlais to attend the conference, but that will only be for two days and I will return and can work here from Kirkwall for the foreseeable future.”                  “That is really something, why all of this though?  Surely there’s more to it than the recognition of your hard work.”                  “It probably has to do with the fact that excessive travel, especially by plane, would not be beneficial for my health in the next few months or so.”                    Varric looked at her, confusion and worry on his face.                  “Your health?  What’s wrong with your health?”                  She smiled and shook her head.                  “Nothing is wrong, my love, I’m only pregnant.”                    It seemed to take a moment before it sank in.  Shocked, he took her hand while staring at her abdomen dumbly.                  “Pregnant...are you sure?” He asked cautiously.  In the last four years, Cassandra had suffered the loss of two pregnancies.  She didn’t know she was even pregnant for either, but the loss was still felt keenly by the both of them.  They worried that they would never again experience the joy of watching a child they made together with their love growing within his Seeker.  He was afraid to hope that it was even real.  It had been another source of contention between them about her work.  He blamed the stress caused by the toxic political climate at the time.  But they had long moved beyond that fight, mending their hearts over the losses.
“Yes, my love.” She answered, understanding his wariness.
“We are having another one?”                  “Yes, Varric, we are.”                    An ecstatic grin finally broke out on his face before laughing and grabbing his wife by the hands to do a quick happy spin around the room.                  “Another!” he whooped as he stopped.  He looked at her, happiness and maybe tears in his eyes.                    “How long?” his hand covered her abdomen, which had a barely detectable curve now that he knew to look for it.                    “I am about eleven weeks along, though I have only found out about three weeks ago.  I wanted to tell you immediately, but it did not seem right to relay such news over the phone.  I also wanted to make sure that… I kept this one.  The doctor says everything is going splendidly so far and that there is a bigger chance of me carrying to term since I am further along than with the last two.  It is why Dorothea and Leliana are ‘recognizing’ my hard work.  They are ecstatic for us.”                    “I owe them a huge apology for acting like an ass.” He said, reaching up to kiss his wife.  The kiss began as a sweet and loving kiss, but it would soon evolve to something more passionate.  Husband and wife celebrated with the most intimate dance that can only be shared between lovers.  It was a celebration of life.  The life of their daughter, sleeping safely in her bed and the life that dwelled within Cassandra, waiting to make his or her appearance in the world.  Most of all, it was a celebration of home.

"Hey, have you seen the... OH" for Perc'ahlia plz?
Vex sighed, pushing back from herdesk and stretching her arms above her head. Cassandra had informed the rest ofthe Whitestone Castle that she was taking a week’s break, which meant most ofher paperwork had fallen to Vex to take care of.
It wasn’t her favorite part ofbeing a Baroness of Whitestone and the de facto Treasurer of the city, but itwas manageable. She looked at the three neat stacks of paper on her desk – onetall and full of completed letters, inquiries, and forms, the second a decentsize and containing documents that Cassandra would address when she returnedfrom Marquet, and the third quite small and comprising various letters that wereto be delivered locally. Winter’s Crest was nearing, as well as the Grey Hunt, and Whitestone would be playing host to several travelling dignitaries, whichmeant plenty of preparation and official communication.
It was, simply put, exhausting.
Looking at the clock, Vex notedjust how late it was – nearly dinner time according to the grandfather clockPercy had crafted for her.
Glancing out the window she noticedit was even starting to get dark, and Vex wondered if Percy had gotten wrappedup in his work, or if he had started on dinner. Elaina would need to eat soonif they wanted to get her bathed and into bed at a decent hour.
Standing up, Vex stretched againand huffed out a breath as her back popped.
Trinket made a questioning noiseand looked up from his spot by the fire, the silvery hair on his snout catchingthe light of the flames, and Vex chuckled, shaking her head.
“No, no, it’s alright,” she said, stepping across the room to scratch behind his ears. He hummed beneath her ministrations, and she chuckled as he pushed up into her hand. “I’m just getting old, Trinket. There’s nothing wrong.”
The look Trinket gave her impliedthat there was definitely somethingwrong with that, and that only made her laugh again as she nuzzled the top ofhis head.
“I’m going to have some dinner, andthen maybe we can go out for a little while tonight if you’re hungry,” shesaid, standing again and patting him on the head in farewell. “Stretch yourlegs a bit.”
Trinket rumbled something andseemed to fall back asleep, and Vex smiled as she turned back toward the doorand exited the study, gently closing the door behind her.
Luckily for her rumbling stomach,Vex smelled something very good as she entered the hall. She listened carefullyand heard the faint sound of activity in the kitchen.
Looking forward to whatever Percy hadprepared, Vex headed in the direction of Elaina’s room to let her know dinnerwas ready. Elaina had taken after her mother in face, but her father in hislove of books, and she could more often than not be found in her room curled upwith the latest novel Shaun had brought back from Emon. He only ever returnedto the port city to  check up on his secondaryshop there, but somehow he always managed to find a simple chapter book thatElaina would enjoy.
When Vex peeked into the bedroomhowever, she found it empty. After a cursory search of the room she realized thefire had gone out at least an hour earlier, and the bed was made, but the thickblanket Grog had made for her birthday the year before (with Pike’s help) was absent.
Going to the next most obviousplace, Vex entered their personal library, which, while not the size of the onein Castle Whitestone, was still sizable and full of hundreds of books. But,while the bright green blanket way lying on an armchair in the corner, Elainawas nowhere to be found.
Vex, confused, checked outside, wondering if some of Elaina’s friends had enticed her to the street for asnowball fight with the freshly fallen coat of snow from earlier that day.Checking outside, however, she saw that the yard of the manor was undisturbed.
“Percy?” she called through thehouse.
No answer was forthcoming.
Heading toward the kitchen, wherethings had gotten strangely silent, she called again: “Percy? Darling?”
A pan seemed to clatter to thefloor, but Percy replied, “Yes, Vex?”
“Busy, darling?” she joked, walkingthrough the main foyer to the kitchen door. “I was just wondering, have youseen- oh gods.”
The sight she had walked in on wasnothing short of a disaster.
While there was a nice pot of stewsimmering on the stove, and a pan of rolls sat neatly on the far counter, thecenter of the kitchen looked like an explosion had occurred.
There were a couple eggs on thefloor, several bowls were in a pile near the stove, and footprints tracked intoand out of the sea of flour that coated pretty much everything in a five-footcircle in the center of the kitchen.
“Look, Mama! My hair looks justlike Dad’s!”
Elaina ran up to Vex, surprisinglylittle flour on her front, though her back was coated in the stuff, and most ofit covered her previously dark brown hair.
Vex, dumbfounded, looked from herdaughter’s hair to her husband’s, and saw (gods forbid) the resemblance.
“And how did it get that way?” sheasked, looking from Percy to Elaina again.
“Cooking!” Elaina exclaimed, draggingVex by the hand to the counter, where the stew and rolls were. “Lots ofcooking, don’t you see? We were making you dinner-“
“Yes, dear, I see that,” Vex cutin, “But I was talking about the state of your hair and clothes. And the floor.”
“Oh, that? Dad ran into me whileholding the flour pot. But at least it didn’t break!”
Elaina pointed at the intact pot onthe floor, though it was completely empty.
“Wonderful,” Vex said, turning hergaze to Percy, who had the sense to look abashed. “Is that what happened, darling?”
“More or less,” Percy agreed, pushing his glasses up his nose nervously and brushing some flour off the frontof his coat. “It was, admittedly, my fault for the mess.”
“Why am I not surprised?” Vex asked, though she couldn’t help grinning. From everything she had heard, children wereusually the messy ones, but eight-year-old Elaina was much tidier than herfather.
“At least we made dinner?” Percychanced. The look on his face, part hopeful and part waiting for retribution, make her chuckle.
“I suppose that makes up for someof it. But we’ll have some nice bonding time after dinner while we clean, won’twe?”
She walked forward and kissed Percyon his left cheek, where there was only a thin dusting of flour, and she winkedat him as he blushed.
“Can we eat now, Mama?” Elainaasked, running up to Vex and hugging her leg. “Can we? We made your favoritestew, and I kneaded-ed the dough for the rolls real good so they’re nice andfluffy!”
“You kneaded the dough very well,”Vex corrected, preempting Percy doing the exact same thing. “And we mostcertainly can. Is the table set?”
“I did that while the rolls werecooking!”
“Then lead the way,” Vex said, grabbingsome rags to hold the hot tray of rolls with and following Elaina into theirdining room. Percy followed close behind, carrying the pot of stew, and theysat down to a simple but lovely meal.
“Did you really run into her?” Vexasked Percy once Elaina had been bathed and put to bed, as they were startingon the long task of clearing the flour and eggs from the kitchen floor.
“She was enthusiastic to return theeggs to the icebox, and I’m not sure who hit whom as she darted across thekitchen, to be honest,” Percy said, shrugging.
“Well, you made quite the messhere,” she said, winking at him as she swept some of the loose flour into thedustpan he held. “And here we are cleaning it up instead of doing all sorts of other things…”
“Don’t tempt me.”
“And why not?”
“Because then we might just leavethe floor until tomorrow and Elaina would think we’re terrible parents,” Percydeadpanned.
“You don’t want Vax to see, do you?”Vex asked with a chuckle.
He sighed and nodded, going toshake out the dustpan. “I can’t say that’s not part of it either.”
“We certainly got into much worsetrouble when we were her age,” Vex pointed out. “I know there was one time whenwe convinced one of the merchants travelling to Byroden that we were orphans, which earned us a couple days’ worth of food. We couldn’t go into town with ourmother for a full week after that little stunt.”
“I still feel some desire to keepup appearances though,” Percy pointed out, kneeling down with the dustpanagain. “Must be the noble blood in me.”
“Must be,” Vex mused, smirking asshe swept up more of the flour. “I mean, I wouldn’t mind ravishing you here, where they’ll be standing only tomorrow, not knowing you-“
“Can we just finish quickly?” Percygroaned, shutting his eyes tightly as his breathing sped up.
“Anything for you, darling,” Vexsimpered, sweeping up the panful of dust and sauntering away to grab a rag to cleanup the eggs.
“I hate you,” Percy said, gettingto his feet and awkwardly moving to throw the flour away again.
“Oh, you love me,” Vex argued, kneelingdown and winking over her shoulder at him.
“You’re right, I love you,” Percyadmitted, apparently forcing himself to take deep breaths. “But do you think wecan finish this a bit faster?”
“Anything for you, darling,” Vexrepeated, grinning as they finished clearing away the mess.

therealmnemo’s fic index
I finally updated my fic index page, and I know that my series all have their own post like this somewhere on my blog, but I figured I’d do a full master post of my writing that I can reblog as I update.
I write mostly around Dragon Age 2 and the characters involved. My biggest ships are FenHanders and Fenders, but I’ve written quite a bit FenHawke and Handers too. Basically, anyway I can express how much I love those three characters. I have some Isabela x Hawke and Carver x Merrill down below, and some Karl x Anders too. I take prompts any time, which fall under the Kirkwall Friend Fiction Collection on Ao3. Prompts for kid fluff end up in the Glow Dads collection. You’ll find all my fics sorted below first by ship, then series, then drabble collections.
