Scapegoat vs Golden Child. When you see the self you hate in your oldest and the woman you love in your youngest.
I like to think Butsuma was harsher on Hashirama because he saw his child self in him, while he saw his deceased wife in Tobirama. I love exploring the fucked up Senju dynamics in But in this twilight, our choices seal our fate. Chapter 3 coming up this Friday :D

yknow what . i like you . shows you my exe ocs and also gives you little summaries of them underneath the read more cut and in the tags :3 ( desc in alt text 4 the 1st img ! ) - Nicky 🌊
in order:
Rawr.EX3/EXD (any)
imagine sonic.exe + 2010s sparkledog raver culture . that's Rawr. she likes waffles and is a virus exe who lives in a bootleg rom pack of the first 3 sonic games & a sonic crackers prototype
Itazura, Guardian of Mischief (she/they/it/plush)
first ever pc port oc!!! what it says on the tin. secret 8th guardian who loves nothing more than causing problems and playing life-threatening pranks on people. you can tell they're after you if you hear what sounds like jingling bells and giggling around your house in the dead of night. oh and plush's kyofu's kid 👍
Sew (any, no she/her)
amorphous dimension travelling critter that uses sewing / crafting to make it's "skin" , typically based off of pre-existing people in the dimension. saw sonic and his super form and thought he was the COOLEST thing alive, so it chooses to resemble him :]
Sink/Waterhog/Nicky (we use he/it but it doesn't rlly care /ref)
literally just me lol , but from a 3rd person perspective he's a personal take on Mr. DJ's "Sink Sonic" concept . he's like 12-13ish and has way too much lore for me to summarise but fun fact : worldbuilding wise, he's a mish-mosh of the games, the Shogakukan sonic manga and a little bit of sonic x sprinkled in. :3

my brain is not on so i hope this makes sense but forced institutionalization of all kinds will never be leftist and it will always do harm like i know yall cryptolibs that get all your knowledge of leftism from memes and think you dont need to read any theory think some forms of institutionalization are ok but like. no they are not. the answer will always be compassion and rectifying the symptoms of society that, by current laws, forces someone into institutionalization in the first place. yes this includes psychiatric institutionalization. psych wards and institutions do very little to treat people, and in a lot of cases actually make them worse. youve never experienced psychiatric abuse and it fucking shows. have a nice day.

i've been thinking about this on and off all morning, but i think i pinpointed the reason q!forever / /q!jaiden storyline happening right now has left me so frustrated, and why ultimately… it's good storytelling, i just dislike it. this is nothing against the ccs, i have the utmost respect to them, i am critising fictional characters.
a) there's two women on the server, and while q!forever's criticism of q!jaiden most likely wouldn't have gotten such a kneejerk reaction from me, when juxtaposed with the notion of a grieving mother being obsessive / suspicious for expressive her grief privately… it's hard to swallow. and hey, i firmly believe q!forever would be suspicious of ANYONE in q!jaiden's position, so it's not on him. it's just uncomfortable to watch as a viewer bc god forbid women express strong emotions in a way people find distasteful.
b) it makes emotional sense from q!forever, but no logical sense, and yet he justifies his suspicion with logic. nah, fam, you're just deeply traumatised -- that's okay. but what q!cellbit did was sneaky, slimy, and giving god complex (i love q!cellbit but dude is fucked). q!jaiden has been infinitely more honest in the brief interactions they had than q!cellbit ever was. you don't have to agree with her or her motives, but if q!cellbit got the benefit of the doubt so should she.
c) his paranoia is understandable, but extreme to the point where suspicion is becoming fact and it's just… an uncomfortable watch. i'm a sub, i've been watching the streams daily since the brazillian creators arrived, but man it was rough. everyone is being painted with the same brush, and his stubbornness and unwillingness to talk to bad (because saying what you think and not listening to the other side isn't talking) is deeply frustrating. q!max suddenly being more trustworthy than baghera and bad is wild, and he's giving these people very little grace. it's jarring.
d) in the end, i don't think this will have consequences if his behaviour persists, but i hope it does. i want to see characters go off the deep end in their pursuit of what they think is right, and burning all bridges until they realise they're alone. if that's where the story is going, i hope q!forever absolutely loses his shit bc it's… where it's headed right now.

and now to reveal the true purpose of a pokemon au: giving all the characters pokemon so I can imagine cute little scenarios w/ them and their mons.
So for ‘Hikaru’ I’m feeling a Ninetales and Yanma. Ninetales was Hikaru’s; Yanma he caught in the summer. The stone for evolving Vulpix was a gift from his late father, and he had the Vulpix much earlier than was typical training age. Yoshiki can’t remember a time Hikaru didn’t have a Pokemon by his side. At the same time, Hikaru was never very good with Pokemon, so Ninetales remained the only member of his team.
Then Yoshiki has a Grimer, Teddiursa, and Murkrow. He got the Grimer as a kid while visiting Tokyo as they’re quite common in densely populated areas- less so in cleaner rural areas, making it’s an odd sight in Kubitachi. Teddiursa is a much more common pokemon, and while it is cute, its evolution is less so for how dangerous it is. Murkrow are generally despised as pests. Known pranksters, the ones on the mountains are blamed for a lot of missing people as they’re known to lead people astray. Yoshiki’s team choices are widely discussed and criticized.
Next few are less set in stone:
Asako: Azumarill, Flaafy
Yuuki: Ivysaur
Maki: Elekid, Magikarp (based on two in-universe baseball teams)
