if there’s no dance, do the dragons live? who’s visenyas? do her children get dragons? if so who which?

Okay so Visenya II is my Targaryen oc, she is the oldest daughter of Viserys and his first wife Aella (the oldest daughter of Aemon and Jocelyn) who died giving birth to Visenyas twin brother. She’s married to Otto Hightower and they have a bunch of kids together. The dragons do indeed live, because I’ve got a whole other story in the making about Visenyas descendant Elaena IV, who lives a good 500 years later and also has dragons in her time (but some do die).

Visenya is highly pregnant with her first child in 103, when Jaehaerys dies and when she goes into labour she makes the big brain decision to go and claim Vermithor and have her first ever dragonride on her own be to Dragonstone to have Maegor there.

So most of her kids also have dragons, here’s a quick rundown of those that do:

Maegor: had an egg in his cradle but it hatched into wyrm and took a good bite out of his cheek. He claims Vermithor after his moms death.

Baelor: had a dark blue Dragon egg that never hatched for him, it was given to his nephew later, it didn’t hatch for him either so he gave it to his little sister for whom it’s eventually hatched into the dragon Seastrom.

Saeron: bounded with a silver hatchling called Archian.

Rhaenar: bounded with a dark green hatchling called Nearamir.

Jaehaeron: had an red egg that never hatched.

Aurys: Rhaenyra gave him a golden egg from Syrax that hatched into the dragon Sunryder.

Aerion: had a bright green dragon egg that hatched into the dragon Wyldfire, but he was killed by a sailor before he could grow big enough to be riden.

Alysanne: bounded with a young red she dragon called Evening.

Alyssa: never had an egg.

Aerea: bounded with a pale blue hatchling, but she died before ever riding the dragon.

Aella: never had an egg.

Aenna: had a pale purple and pearl colored dragon egg that hatched into the dragon Starsight.

Aegor: had a golden dragon egg that hatched into the dragon Nighfyre.

Daenerys: never had a egg.

I’ve been having a small LOTR marathon lately (not Rings of Power) but I know nothing about this series so it’s been entertaining but also wildly confusing. These are just disjointed thoughts based on the Two Towers and half of Return of the King.

“They’re taking the Hobbits to Isengard!” --> cue that one meme playing non-stop in the back of my head

Legolas: “I’m going to surf down this flight of stairs on someone’s shield and be cool (and extra) as heck”

Whatever the heck Legolas and Grimli have is hilarious.

Gimli: “Just throw me over. Just CHUCK ME LIKE A DWARFISH PROJECTILE.” And then ARAGORN JUST DOES IT. Amazing.

Gandalf: “I cast CONCUSSION!!!” Smacks down with his staff

I expected more magic from Gandalf beside EXTREME FLASHLIGHT but this man has just been doling out concussions left and right. Good for him.

“It’s me! It’s your Sam! Don’t you know your Sam?” Oh, be still my heart.

That one tree that’s ON FIRE and dives headlong into the rushing river.

Lighting the beacons: Very Cool. My Brain on repeat in the background: “now all of China will know you’re here.”

Nearamir. Faramir. Wherever you are-amir. (me upon asking my friend who THIS guy was during a scene change, and getting “Nearamir” as an answer when a side character helpfully yells “Faramir”)

That one grim reaper-looking guy if the grim reaper was like... really proactive about his job. “You’re dying too slow. I will help you by KILLING YOU ALL.” OK dude, guess we know who’s gunning for employee of the month.

Conversely, this Steward is NOT winning any Father of the Year awards.

Gollum: throws away the bread. Me: ABSOLUTELY RIOTING OVER THE FOOD WASTE

“That mountain is evil.” OK? Maybe we? Shouldn’t? Make our war camp next to it?

Then later --> Aragorn: “lol bye I’m going to go grab some evil army from the evil mountain” (I guess? You’d think the dude would have the courtesy of telling the rest of the army he’s grabbed about his janky plan to get reinforcements before going into the evil mountain to possibly never return????)

Gandalf: MORE CONCUSSIONS

Rohan army appears: VERY COOL. EXCELLENT. I LOVE THEM. GO GO GO
