It's so interesting that shipping/romance is such a big aspect of the qsmp. like of course it's a aspect of fan culture like with any other fandom, but it's also important to the storyline. these characters are motivated by their attraction, they make decisions around pursuing the one they love, and they are emotionally affected by rejection and flirting. and its not just fanservice, we have seen with guapoduo and fooligetta that these characters are forming meaningful relationships with narratively satisfying payoffs. idk how common this is in smps, but the fact that the creators have made it so important is so fascinating to me

when hu tao first heard about dbd i imagine she thought it would be an easy way to gain new clients, now she sticks around because its fun to terrorize people as killer, and be an absolute menace as survivor.

i think shed be a nurse main, but one of those that are insanely good at playing nurse. she wins the game in no time because her teleports are perfect. 

i can only imagine how many people have rage quit because of her.

along with dead by daylight, i see her just overall being a horror game player. lots of five nights at freddys, resident evil, etc.

i havent said anything personally on the situation bc im not sure that its my place & not sure what my next move is .

first off shelby has been incredibly brave and as someone who doesn't watch her and hasnt ever, ive felt mostly that it was best for me to be supportive in a quiet way & that it wasnt my place to give my input . most of all i didnt want to reduce her solely to her abuse and "victimhood" as to me it feels extremely counterproductive to post only about that when she is obviously more than what she went through . it felt disingenuous to begin posting about it as if i was someone who's always cared about shubbles content when honestly im not . bc at the end of the day its not about me and its not about her abuser , its about shubble and ive never been a member of her community .

i dont want my silence to be interpreted as me not caring about the situation or not believing her because i do ; i don't want to speak where my voice isnt needed or could take away from others . from some of the responses ive been seeing though i feel its far more important to listen to and boost her voice than be quiet .

i dont want to talk about him because ultimately this is about platforming shelby and what shes gone through . that said i HAVE watched, posted about and supported her all-but-named abuser , so im involved at least on that level and i want to say i am horrified by the abuse shubble has described.

the general reaction to her coming forward i have seen on this site and others , from one end of the spectrum (she hasnt said his name so we cant know / its not that bad / blatant excuses and defense of him) to the other (leaktwt / posts about how hes always been a creep / jumping down the throats of anyone who words their thoughts in a way they deem wrong) has been horrifying to witness . some of the most unproductive commentary ive seen on an issue like this and i was here from cmc to drm .

im deeply upset and feel i should say somewhere that some of the shit ive seen is unacceptable and contradictory to shelbys initial point, which i understand to be 2 things: 1) highlighting how abuse is not always obvious, or 'normal', and ways to recognize these situations as a victim 2) to highlight her own personal experiences and to stop both her own abuser and others from being platformed .

mcytdom is NOTORIOUS for "drama" like this and similarly well-known for being unable to boost / listen to / BELIEVE victims or at least leave them the fuck alone . to anyone who's ever been groomed or abused, esp my mutuals who have received extremely insensitive messages and feedback in wake of this , my heart goes out to you and i hope you are doing alright & know how appreciated and strong you are . shelby, niki, and other victims of abuse should be listened to and celebrated for both their bravery and strength and for who they are as people .

on a more personal note heres ig what im going to do going forward

this is my blog & im not leaving it , wont be deleting any posts either , mutuals id love to stay in touch if youre moving out or moving on .

MCYTblr: Art Ratio's Survey

Hello there tumblr! It is I Cup with another survey, but this time this will be a more serious study! I realize this post will be long but the information below is important. Also, credit to @wigglesforsquiggles for their help with this survey thus far!

We always talk about as artists or for our artists moots about the art ratios being "bad". Meaning that likes exceed reblogs, which do not contribute to visibility and promote art on the algorithm. So, based off our experiences I though it would be interesting to quantify that. I realize this is a big project and I am also a graduate student so I realize this may take a while/be a side project for me but it is something I really am interested doing.

The goal of this study is to not only quantify the ratio issues but to continue to serve as encouragement to REBLOG ART, especially in the mcytblr fandoms. All facets of mcytblr may participate (cc fans, mcc, empires smp, dsmp, etc.).

To explain the form here, there are 3 data points you may provide, meaning you may provide 3 art pieces as data for the survey. Your data and art WILL BE REPORTED ON ANONYMOUSLY only ever categorized by what "type" of art it is or what "fandom" it was for (dsmp art versus osmp art for example) though i do request you provide a link to the post on tumblr only so I can see that the art is a legitimate one, particularly one that is a few days old in posting (meaning a stable like:reblog ratio) though i do not mind really any time point of art because I may check that the ratios havent drastically updated before doing analysis. if you do not have 3 points of data to present and you are only providing 1 piece of art please type N/A into the required art link questions for 2 and 3 and then leave all other questions blank. Also note when I provide the raw data for the survey your art links will be censored for anonymity's sake.

For some bias prevention, I will not provide any of my own art for this study.

All art is allowed including traditional art, felt art, plushies, writing, etc. If your art type is not listed you may hit other and specify. Same goes for fandom listings, please specify if your fandom is not listed.

Also art must be FROM TUMBLR this is not a twitter art study (or instagram/etc), though in the future I do think that would be interesting to compare numbers to! I will also not accept reposted art that is not yours (though i do realize sometimes it wont be obvious to me in all cases). Also you may not post art in the study on someone else's behalf. I will be checking all entries to make sure the original poster is the same and that you did not provide 3 pieces of art from different tumblr users. If one art piece you posted was from an old blog/side blog/etc. you may specify to me in the comments that and thus your art can be included.

I realize this is not being conducted the most scientific way possible but like I said it will be a side project for me on top of schooling :)! I hope this is an enjoyable study for us all.

In how the data will be analyzed this is my preliminary plan but do realize this plan could change in the future: analyze overall ratios in mcytblr between different fandoms, between different types of art, between different cc's and characters, between different MCC's and teams, as well as any differences between lore events (such as doomsday versus final disc confrontation on the dream smp). I may even do statistical analysis if there are enough data points (such as significance testing/anova w/ post hoc/etc) (dont hold me to this one it really depends on how many responses i get/time/etc). Like my last survey I will post a powerpoint you may look through with links to my data and analysis.

I do reserve the right to omit data from analysis if it does not meet the requirements above (ex. you posted art on someone's behalf, its twitter, its reposted, etc.) or it is against major boundaries (pr*ship for ex), against cc boundaries on their characters, or if your response to the survey is a "joke response" (meaning you didnt actually provide data for the survey, or the link you provided wasnt to art). I will be transparent about omissions and mark them in the data and I will give reasons as to why. I realize this adds bias to the study but i srsly will not participate in things against my boundaries and others for this survey.

Heyo, so like, I should be working on that scarian fic I told you guys about, but like, I'm instead going to tell you guys about a new dream smp au I have simmering in the back of my brain. But I don't feel like typing out the whole story for it right now, so like I'm just gonna give you guys the basic bare bones of the au and if you like I'll make a second post with more details I guess.

So this is a generation swap au, so like all the old people are young and all the young people are old. Mostly, some people don't get swapped because it just fit the plot better. I'm gonna give you guys a basic ish run down of all the characters, at the end will be a list of those I don't know what I'm going to with yet and if I don't list a character it's either because they don't have a place in the overall plot of the au or because I forgot about them. Also got some extra context, the server that they live in has been with out an admin for a while. One day years back the man just disappeared without a trace, and as such many different city states were made to have some kind of government and structure in the world.

Tommy

Part of the older generation now, and just in general the weird server hobo. His only friend is Purpled and the man has some serious trust and abandonment issues. The abandonment issues arise partly from the fact that this is also an experiment innit au. Tommy is basically a slightly magic robot with an artificial soul, and the scientists who made him would never fail to remind him that because of that he "isn't real" and that no one would love him. He eventually escapes and goes on to live a life in the real world. In the begining of the story, no one knows he's not human.

Purpled

Is one of the older ones and is Punz's older brother. Hes a mercenary and will do just about anything if paid enough. Tommy pays him very well. Purpled does care about Tommy as a friend and not just a walking wallet, and he tries to mitigate some of Tommy's worse habits, but ultimately takes that stance that it's not his business and if Tommy doesn't want to change them to just leave it alone.

Fundy

Fundy is now the tired parent of three. Man needs a break and is constantly having to clean up the messes his kids make. Sally is also his sister, and a fish goddess. Fundy is very much not a god of any kind and is a fox. No one understands it, least of all him. He is very tired of being one of the only responsible adults around.

Wilbur

Fundy's oldest son and the only biological one. Dont really have much for him yet, but he's there! If you guys have any ideas let me know.

Techno

MIDDLE CHILD TECHNO SUPREMACY LETS GOOOOOO! Fundy was just in the Nether one day when he found a piglin child sitting on the ground talking to himself and said 'guess I'm a father of two now'. When introducing people to Techno, Fundy will always refer to him as 'the only normal one'. Techno, the child with the murderous voices in his head chanting for blood, is Fundy's 'normal' kid.

Philza

Fundy's youngest kid, and no one really knows where he came from. He just kinda appeared in Fundy's house one day, covered in blood not his own, with a sizable number of crows surrounding him, and said 'im your problem now'. Fundy just sighed and went back to bed. These crows that follow Phil around are, obviously, servants to Kristen, the goddess of death. The crows follow Phil around because he is a tiny bit murder happy, and where there is lots of murder, there is lots of death. One day in the begining of the story Philza somehow accidentally finds his way into the realm of death, a place no living being should be able to go, and if they do end up there, they won't be alive for much longer. While their Phil meets Kristen the goddess of death and falls head over heals for her. Also, Phil is at that point in puberty where he is finally able to grow facial hair, and he is very proud of the soup strainer mustache he has.

Charlie

Charlie is a few years older then Tommy. We meet him later on in the story.

Dream

Dream is in the younger generation and has just moved to this server with two of his friends. Dream also has some minor admin powers. He just moved to a server who's admin went missing years ago. As you can tell, this is going to cause some trouble and attract the attention of some not nice people.

George and Sapnap

I know that they will be here and are Dreams friends, but that's about it. If you can give me some ideas please do.

Quackity

He's one of the youngest characters at 14. He was born in the city states of Las Nevadas, one of the most powerful and wealthiest city states. He is currently couch surfing inlue of having a place to stay and an adult to take care of him. Fundy has tried multiple times to convince Quackity to move in with him, because while he is very tired of his children he still understands that children need adult supervision and since no one else is doing it he has to be the responsible one. Quackity refuses every time and tries to avoid Fundy so he doesn't have to deal with that conversation. Quackity insists that he can take care of himself.

Tubbo and Ranboo

Tubbo and Ranboo have been married for many years now. Around the time they got married they removed themselves from civilization and have lived isolated in the snowy mountains since then, along the way adopting their son Michael, who is 10 when the story takes place. Later on in the story they move back to civilization per Fundy and Aimsey's request of help.

Punz

Purpled's younger brother and he becomes good friends with Dream, but that's all I have for him at the moment.

Karl

The Weird Kid™. Everyone is pretty sure that he has parents and a house to go back to every night, but no one knows for certain and every time someone tries to ask him he changes the subject. But one time Fundy was able to get some information on his living situation out of Karl, but when Karl started going on about sheep people Fundy gave up and went back to his own difficult children.

Schlatt

Jack, don't know

Here's the characters I don't know what to do with yet. I'll also list if they are getting swapped or not or if I don't know.

Schlatt is in his late teens and is the nephew of both Puffy and Tubbo. No one knows where his parents are. Schlatt lives with Puffy and generally just goes around causing chaos.

1. despite not liking the creators of the dsmp anymore, I don't actually hate most of them. [the ones that are particularly unsavory fall outside of this of course] so all that I'm saying i truly mean in a critical sense towards the story, its also just all purely my opinion as someone who enjoys fictional and fantasy stories and who like criticizing works to see what it does well and what it doesn't do well

2. for clarification I'm going to use the c![name] to indicate when I'm talking about the characters. Don't get me wrong, I think its annoying too but its the only way I'm gonna be able to write this thing without getting something across the wrong way yknow?

3. I stopped watching the streams after November 16th, [save for one Techno one but I closed out after a particularly bad story beat lol] and so all information coming afterward is all second hand from either me seeing people on twt talk abt it or people dming me. All i really know is up to dream's imprisonment and some stuff past that.

4. This is mostly aimed towards the "main" story, so stuff abt the badlands, eggpire, and whatnot are briefly mentioned.

anyways uh, i'll try to be brief but also include enough information to get why i feel the way i do on some stuff across

A. Performances Alright obviously these people are all streamers, so obviously they might not be the best actors, and hell no one is even asking that of them. However, when you're telling a story that's based on the audio with the visuals kinda coming to a second, it's gotta be pretty strong. I will say, some of the best actors in my opinion are Wilbur, Tommy, and Tubbo. I would include Ranboo but I never watched any of his story bits or story streams so I can't say much. Wilbur and Tommy are excellent in selling their character's emotions and feelings, when I watch the stream I don't feel like I'm watching an rp but an actual thought-out story yknow? And one of my favorite Tubbo examples was in the Hog Hunt video whenever Techno attacked him, he sounded genuinely afraid and I believed everything his character was feeling.

However, unfortunately, not everyone is gonna be that good. And I'm gonna say it; Dream and Techno have to be the worst out of the entire cast. I understand Techno's whole character is this monotoned badass, however, when really emotional moments hit I feel like he never lets that fall, and a lot of intense moments just ring hollow. And I'm sorry but Dream's attempts at being intimidating leave me laughing whenever I watch them. It feels like he watched that one scene from The Marriage with Adam Driver and Scarlett Johannson and said "Oh this is what good acting looks like! Just yelling." His whole "I don't give a FUCK about Spirit!" speech isn't as great as people keep making it out to be. And whenever he tries to act coy when being a villain it feels like a guy reading the script for the first time, a bit like he's trying too hard. I have more problems with his character but his portrayal certainly doesn't help.

Everyone else is fine, and I don't feel strongly either way about a lot of them.

B. The "Lore" Okay first off, I can't be the only one who thinks it's silly that people are calling the dsmp's story "lore" when it's not, it's the fucking story. Lore indicates backstory to either the world or the characters, which a lot of the streams don't really pertain to. This is a really petty section but god it's a weird pet peeve of mine.

Other than the misusage of "lore" vs "story", the actual lore and world-building of the world are so lackluster that new elements can be introduced whenever and it often feels cluttered or not well thought out at all. And here's the thing, I feel like if the writers sat down just for a few minutes to establish world rules and general history, a lot of this could be solved! but so much is made up on the spot that it starts to feel like they're grabbing at straws to keep people invested, trying to reach that next high and intense story beat without actually earning it.

C. The Egg / Eggpire This is a pretty minor note since I was only invested in the Egg storyline for a little bit, but god it's so underused that it's almost embarrassing. Bad has provided this super interesting antagonistic force that's infecting the SMP, can control people, and who one of our main character is immune to, and it's just never used or even talked about again? Now I understand if he wanted to keep it to a side storyline only, however, to introduce this borderline eldritch creature and force within the world and then never have it dealt with is so weird.

D. The Writing Oh boy this is. kinda a big one. Now I'm not gonna lie, it's pretty obvious I have a bias for the Wilbur writing over the current team [that consisting of Dream, Quackity, and Tommy mostly]. I don't this his writing is perfect by any means, the characters constantly bringing up traitors got obnoxious after a while, and writing Hamilton but in Minecraft really isn't the modern Shakespeare or anything. However, I think his exploration of characters and plot progression was a lot more thought out and well planned, like he actually had two brain cells behind the story yknow? The current team I think fails to be as emotional or even impactful, things happened too fast and my god was everything drowned in angst for so long.

Don't get me wrong, you gotta have your characters face hardships to make them reach their goal believable, but some of the shit they put the characters through just felt like too much. From c!Tubbo's constant comparison to c!Schlatt [who btw, fucking ordered his death and kept him from his friends in a nation he felt trapped in] and on a side note, i kinda really fucking dislike the "c!Schlatt dad!!" au's or the au's where c!Tubbo inherits some of Schlatt's features, it would be like c!Tommy getting a c!Dream mask after his exile, it's feels so weird yet people eat that shit up for some reason.

But god, did c!Tommy get the brunt of it all and in retrospect after his final death, it kinda feels really fucking gross. Now obviously, I'm not trusting any of these people to write decent mental health representation, but c!Tommy's PTSD and how it was explored was just degrading. [Specifically the scene in that one Techno stream where he saw the final control room from the first war, and had a flashback / panic attack where he started calling out for c!Dream. I understand this is an actual thing people with PTSD will experience, but it felt so fucking stereotypical it got on my nerves. I actually had to close out of the stream because it made me feel sick, fiction shouldn't leave you feeling that way.] And don't get me started on how they basically reused the formula from the previous arc. [Problem introduced -> Tensions rise as things start to fall apart -> Big confrontation -> Exile -> Return from Exile -> Blowing up L'Manberg, again.]

And speaking of characters-

E. Character Arcs, or the lack of them In my genuine opinion, some of these characters' arcs are so disappointing. Especially c!Tommy's. I'm not one to believe that he was a "selfish" character or anything, however, his goals were simply set on his discs and maybe c!Tubbo, he didn't have much outside that. However, L'Manberg gave him something to care about, he gave up his discs for it and he fought for it tooth and nail, I think it taught him to open up to others and trust more. It was a great character arc for him to have, seeing him still fight even after his first exile alongside c!Wilbur, to return safely to the nation that he and his found family had built.

But then his second exile happened, and I feel like all of that was undone.

c!Tommy's exile genuinely pisses me off for so many reasons. It's not that characters can't have their low points after reaching a major change or feeling like they've "completed" their arcs or anything, but it's more of the fact that it seems like he's never going to heal that feels like a spit in the face, especially to people who might have had setbacks like that before. Progress isn't linear, sometimes things happen and you get knocked back down, it can take a while to get back up, but I don't think c!Tommy's character is ever going to be allowed to get back up. From c!Dream, who pretty much was a constant abuser in his life, killing him then reviving him, and his still fractured relationship with c!Tubbo, which by the way I have a had time believing they would still be friends after all that happened, it feels like he can never get a win and it's generally kinda a shit way to treat your characters who have been abused. Of course, not all abused characters are going to get happy endings, I'm not trying to dictate that they all should, but c!Tommy deserves one and the fact that it's so obscure feels shitty.

Side note: we still don't have a canon reason to give a shit abt the discs. Like I'm sorry but without some sorta connection to the MacGuffin why should we give a shit about him getting them other than "he wants them lol". Like hell, I would even accept the classic "they were the last gifts from his parents" or something, but we still don't have a reason.

c!Tubbo also lacks a fulfilling arc as well, from someone who started out as a yes man, he has progressed a bit into having his own interests first, but besides that sometimes his character makes me so. depressed. He's easily one of the most pushed around and hated characters within the story, all for being a kid who didn't know what to do and he's in the same vein as c!Tommy; these kids can't get a break. Also, his anti-violence beliefs morphing into the "lets kill c!Techno lol!" bit was so out of place and without proper build-up it was like. what. And now he's building nukes?? god c!Tubbo makes me so sad because he's kicked around constantly and never given a chance to grow.

Another small note, I also don't really enjoy c!Techno at all. Besides the previously stated reasons of lack of emotions when they're really needed, I find his character to be weirdly pretentious. He talks as if he's constantly been betrayed and hurt but I personally, don't see it? Like, I think one of the main examples was the Pogtopia vs. Manberg war, yknow he wanted to end the government but they just reinstated it after they won = c!Techno upset. But this doesn't make sense to me because why did he think otherwise? The entire time c!Tommy had talked about taking back their nation and starting again, so the fact that c!Techno suddenly thought there would be a sudden change is, to put it bluntly, kinda fucking stupid. I don't want to say that he "plays the victim" or anything because that feels a bit harsh, but his character feels so far up his own ass that I can't enjoy him.

I have a major grip with c!Dream as well, but that's getting it's own fucking section.

F. L'Manberg This is a quick note before we get into the, forgive me for this, endgame, of this entire rant, since the next two sections are tied together. But god, L'Manberg makes me upset because it feels like they gave up on it.

Don't get me wrong, I understand that it is supposed to be c!Wilbur's "unfinished symphony", the thing that destroyed a once charismatic and widely loved man, his attempt at power that utterly ruined him. But the fact that it just got blown up in the end after everything and left to rot felt like such a waste of time. From the first war, to Pogtopia, to even c!Tommy's exile, it all felt fucking worthless in the end, and the story is actively closer to how it was when it started now more than ever. I wished it was actually allowed to exist and continue to be a peaceful place in what is a chaotic world, but no it was just snuffed out because why dedicate to this concept of finding others you can band together with and feel safe. fuck that noise apparently?

G. The Villains Now villain-wise, I'm only talking about c!Dream [during the first war], c!Schlatt, and c!Wilbur. And believe it or not, this is actually mostly positive.

Now I'm not gonna lie, c!Dream as a staring antagonist wasn't bad actually, he posed a genuine and threatening opposition to L'Manberg, even if we didn't know his real intentions or motivations as to why he was against it. He's lucky in this sense because he didn't have to be good, he had to be passable. If anything, he felt more like an anti-hero than a tyrant or traditional villain, and my god do I wish he kept this theme going forward.

Now quick disclaimer, I don't like JSchlatt as much as the next guy, he's an adult man who should know better than to joke about some sensitive topics and act the way that he does. But the one thing I'll ever give him is that damn, was he a good actor for his character.

Now here's the thing, c!Schlatt wasn't particularly deep at all. He had no real motivations behind his exile of c!Wilbur and c!Tommy other than getting competition out of the way, had no reason to act the way that he did and yknow? that's fine. The reason why he worked was from his performance alone, he was actually intimidating. When he came onto the stream and was doing his typical bad guy stuff, it was actually intense to see what he would do. Whenever he would almost catch c!Tommy back in Manberg, whenever he would begin to pressure c!Tubbo, it put you on the edge of your seat and it felt like everything would change at the drop of a pen. He's a villain to be a villain, and this works out because he's just charismatic and well put together enough to make it interesting, even without the backstory or motives.

c!Wilbur however, is much more tragic, and the best villain of the story. He essentially was the "mentor turned evil" trope and it felt terrible watching him descend into madness, unable to trust barely anyone except for c!Techno and c!Tommy. Hell, in the end I think he still cared about them both, despite losing everything. Sure, he blew up L'Manberg, but there was still a smidge of the old c!Wilbur in there made everything he did feel melancholic. His death at the hands of his father after achieving his final wish was chilling, and something I still think about.

Until yknow, Ghostbur came back way too soon to let people feel his loss as a character within that world. And then he got revived, pretty much-undoing everything that moment meant for his character lol.

And then there's the worst one:

H. Dream. I'm going to be completely honest, c!Dream is one of the main reasons why I dislike the current dsmp stuff so much. Outside of his actions as a person, the way Dream decided to write his character as this overpowered madman of the dsmp really just. destroyed any intrigue that he could've had. Perhaps this is from my growing dislike towards him, manifesting into a bias towards his character, but god I cannot fathom why people try to insist he's interesting when he has as much depth as a fucking puddle.

And here's the thing, I'm not even entirely against c!Dream being a villain, hell I think he would've been great as an anti-hero if anything. Make him sympathetic but not through c!George to get your precious "DNF" points or anything, but show him actually caring about the people within the dsmp, including c!Tommy and c!Tubbo. This would make his rival status with them just a bit more complicated, sure they're enemies, however, he doesn't want to hurt or kill them, and there's still a level of friendship there that keeps them bonded when things get super bad. This could've been super interesting to see, the first villain of the story receiving a sorta redemption arc then descending into madness as he started to fixate on being a god. This is all how I feel personally, but god do I feel like it would've been better than his current character, and hell would've worked with how he was during the Pogtopia arc, before the war that is. I'm not trying to tell Dream how to write his own character, but there are so many other ways he could've done the madman seeking to become god rather then. whatever the hell we got.

Because instead, we got this power-mad asshole who does things... because he can? And that's one of my major issues: he tries to surround his character in mystery to make him "intriguing" but it's kinda like c!Techno, it comes off as pretentious. Not only that, but you cannot keep waving around this mystery of a backstory without ever actually revealing it. I know the story isn't over, but c!Dream is effectively at his lowest point, now would be the time to reveal his backstory. But no just keep it in the dark and keep everyone guessing, that's totally fun and not at all tiring and annoying. (sarcasm, if anyone needs it)

And back to his performance, he doesn't sell this aloof, cynical and strategic warrior that has perfected the blade or some shit, he comes off as some angry guy yelling on reddit. which i don't need to tell you, isn't intimidating. It feels like he's trying to have c!Schlatt's intimidation combined with c!Wilbur's depth, but instead he's like a little brother who's trying to hard to mimic his older brother and is kinda embarrassing himself.

but other then that i dont feel too strongly abt the dsmp lol

but seriously, these are the main complaints I have abt the story tbh, I could probably talk about more but I wont because man. this is probably gonna get me in trouble if any of the hyper-dsmp fans actually read it.

My thinking out loud for who Ranboo could trust with the enderwalk state, in no particular order:

A. Tommy. Probably one of the most obvious choices imo. He's proven to Ranboo specifically that he can be trusted to protect him in a similar situation (the trial about George's house being griefed where Tommy took the fall for him). I think Ranboo knows that Tommy can keep a secret. And Tommy isnt really on any sides at the moment - apart from his friendship with Tubbo which would probably his one loose end that could end up being a deal breaker for Ranboo. I legit think Tommy is objectively the best choice for this job (and i wanna see akward duo reunite as much as the next guy), but we gotta keep in mind who we're dealing with. Ranboo's likely not going to be think of Tommy as someone who's divorced himself from basically all conflict and is just trying to better himself. He's so paranoid about this exact issue, he's probably going to default to thinking Tommy is essentially just between sides right now. Plus, like I said, Ranboo didn't say he needs someone who "isnt on any side", he said he needs someone who's "detached". While Tommy definitely fills the former, he definitly doesn't fill the latter.

B. A lot of chat was suggesting Techno and/or Phil? Which?? My dudes??? No???? Yeah sure they probably wouldn't care, but Ranboo has made it pretty clear that he's really cautious about telling them things like this in fear that one day, they might care. Plus, when they say they don't care, they really mean it. To be honest, I dont think c!Techno or c!Phil are good people to be that vulnerable to? Mainly because this is something that Ranboo is going to need unprompted reassurance with and I dont really think either of them would think to do that? Plus, they're very much on a side, that being their own. When Ranboo says detached, I think he means really detached (or at least as much as humanly possible on this SMP).

C. Fundy. This one is odd because I could totally see it happening, but I can just as easily see it not. Ranboo and Fundy established a pretty strong bond throughout December, but after Doomsday it completely fell through for them both. They clearly still care about each other and that bond is definitely still there, but its been damaged and they've both been afraid to be the first to make an effort to mend it. I genuinely believe if they would just talk, they'd be back to normal in like 10 minutes. But they'd need to talk first and in this case I think Ranboo would be the one to start the conversation, which he's shown discomfort in doing before. However, if they could bridge this gap, l think Fundy would be a very good choice (as long as he could take it seriously). Obviously, Ranboo can trust Fundy on an emotional level and we know Fundy can keep a secret (almost too well) because of the whole A Spy's Diary situation. Fundy also said himself that he currently has no alliances on the smp, aside from probably Ranboo and Ranboo knows this. Additionally, Fundy is one of the only people, along with Puffy, and of course Dream, who have canonically seen him in his enderwalk state. (Tommy did notice him wandering around like he was in it once, but Ranboo hasn't acknowledged that time as canon, so idk). Anyway, I think Fundy would be a pretty solid choice if they can just get their shit together and finally make up.

D. Karl? I see where y'all are coming from with this one and listen, I would also love to see these to interact and bond over their respective memory issues, bookkeeping, and disrealization problems. But, I hate to break it to you that c!Ranboo literally has no clue about any of that. No one does. Karl hasn't told anybody about his ability to time travel and atm doesnt have any plans to. Granted, Ranboo could choose him for other reasons, but I highly doubt it, honestly?

E. Wilbur? I know what i just said, but Hear Me Out. He's not revived right now and we don't know when he will be or what he'll even be like when/if he is. But, a few things we can guarantee is that when/if he is he'll be one of the most detached people on the server (both politically and probably emotionally), he'd have no qualms with helping out Ranboo even if he does turn out to be some awful war criminal, and, based on his interactions with Ghostbur, I think Ranboo might be willing to trust him. And probably my biggest argument for why i like this crack theory: If Wilbur remembers all of the shit he did, that means he'll be one of the few people who would be able to relate to Ranboo. He knows what it's like to have Dream take advantage of your poor/deteriorating mental health and talk you into commiting acts of terrorism. Wilbur also would know what it's like to feel like you can't trust anyone, including yourself, and he could relate to Ranboo's disrealization he's been experiencing. Plus, I just think getting to see these two interact like this would be neat idk. Definitely not going to happen, but I thought I'd inculde the idea here!

F. Eret. Fuck dude, I really want Ranboo to go to Eret about this. Like first of all, Eret is functionally detached from everything right now (I mean that's why Dream has put them on the throne twice now). All Eret cares about is helping those who need it, which would include Ranboo. I also think Ranboo knows he can trust Eret and we all know Eret would be such a sweetheart about comforting the kid, while also understanding the seriousness of the situation and treating it as such. Something that I also thought was interesting was Ranboo emphasizing that it would be ideal if the person has "kept a secret before". Now, Fundy has also kept a big secret before (again, A Spy's Diary), but ya know who was the one other person who knew about Fundy's spy plan and kept the secret (which was someone else's) just as well? Eret. And of course, the reason Eret was the first person who came to mind for me: Eret betrayed L'manberg all that time ago and, obviously, had to keep it a secret and did with ease, even at a time when the writing couldn't protect it for them. Point is, Eret checks this box multiple times over and gets a gold star on it. On the note of Eret's betrayal, what I said about Wilbur knowing what it's like to be used by Dream to commit terrorism/war crimes, also applies to Eret. It's often forgotten that Eret was actually the first person to be used and manipulated by Dream. Eret wanted respect and power and when Dream found out, he promised it to them in the form of a flimsy title and fancy crown in exchange for turning on their friends, Eret took it. They then regretted it almost instantly. Point is, Eret can not only help Ranboo through this with the care and respect he requires, but can also do so by being able to relate to Ranboo on a personal level, which I think Ranboo would respond to. Eret is sort of the closest Ranboo could have to having someone represent what he's afraid he could become - someone who's seen as a filthy traitor and nothing more, never able to earn back the love and respect of their friends. But, Eret could show him that, with time and a lot of effort, he's worthy of forgivess just like they were. I also really want this for Eret. Let Eret be able to use the experience that they view as their biggest mistake, followed by months of paying for it, as a way to be able to help this kid that's grappling with some pretty heavy problems. It would be so healing for the both of them.

theres a lot of people who seem to think that c!beeduo will have some sort of giant argument abt ranboos or quackity will take tubbos last life or something and im just like. no i just want them to talk LMAO can we get a tubbo talking about his problems and have an arc of tubbo realizing that he shouldnt just accept mistreatment and that repressing his emotions is not the same as healthily moving on from trauma. i want him and quackity to be equals with mutual respect (which is where their relationship had already left off), i know realistically theres going to be conflict but like.

ranboo and tubbo both already know theyre keeping secrets, tubbo wouldnt be mad about enderwalk because its not dangerous, ranboo wouldnt be mad because tubbo didnt tell him about his past, at most ranboo would be upset *for* tubbo because like. theres no good reason for ranboo to get mad that tubbo didnt tell him about something incredibly traumatizing, and theres. no reason for tubbo to be pissed about sleepwalking, even *if* ew!ranboo has conmections with dream, tubbo has already expressed that he wouldnt blame ranboo for anything he couldnt control, and tubbo himself knows how easy it is for dream to get under peoples skin

also i feel like some people seem to lean wayyy too far into quackity being a villain to remember what *kind* of villain he is. he isnt like schlatt, who used political and perceived power to get his way. he isnt like dream, who slowly wittled down peoples defenses and convinced others that it was deserved and that he was in the right (to the point where people *still* believe what he said about tommy). he uses similar tactics, yes, but he's still his own kind of villain, and i truly do not believe quackity is going to kill tubbo when theres. not a very big benefit to doing so? at the least he gets the ire of ranboo and tommy. but its very likely that hes going to piss off a *ton* of people, because tubbo is like. very loved among the community, even most of the las nevadas citizens genuinely like tubbo (slime and quackity only being exceptions because we dont know exactly what their opinions are, but its unlikely that they dislike tubbo)

its unlikely for tubbo to permadie, and i think unlikely for beeduo and las nevadas' conflict to be much more than a moral conflict. hell, i think its more likely for ranboos focus on this conflict to cause an issue within the syndicate (ranboo and phil both focusing on tubbo and growing close with him, and weve been waiting for the ball to drop on technos response to it all, and it may come to a head with them all being apart of the las nevadas plot), or to even just tie up a lot of loose ends with various relationships (cough cough fundy and ranboo cough cough)

i also just dont think it works for the characters to have beeduo have a big fallout (or even really a big argument in general) or for quackity to cause such large harm to tubbo. like ive been trying to collect my thoughts on how beeduos relationship will develop for a while and i want to make a post about it but just as a general tubbo is canonically very loved and cared about on the smp, its very risky to cause harm to him and i feel like quackity would know that. also tubbo has never had a problem with people protecting him LMAO him and tommys entire relationship has been based around protecting each other, tubbo himself is very protective, i doubt tubbo would feel much more than annoyance at ranboos meddling and ultimately if he disagreed with ranboos morals i think he'd at least speak up about that (also tubbo honestly follows the "people not sides" thing in his own way, after all he and punz were always friendly, and hes friends with phil, literally married to ranboo, friends with sam, etc etc)

generally just like, i think tubbos story arc would be best if this led into a healing arc, like its very likely that someone will bring up him being a spy before and how it ended badly and tubbo wont be able to avoid it anymore, and with proper pressuring, yeah, i think he'd snap. but itd be cathartic, and also i do not think anyone around tubbo has the heart to just like, watch him break or even truly get satisfaction out of it. tubbo dying would only further his belief that his life doesnt matter, dream wouldnt revive tubbo, thats kind of just a given. canon wise, it makes sense for tubbo to survive (cough cough parallels to how tommy got out of exile, being the only president to live, also like he has a fucking son), and it makes sense for him to be able to genuinely get those around him to question their morals and how theyve treated him and others. i really do think tubbos arc is heading in a direction where hes gonna heal, and i think its absolutely going to be an emotional/moral struggle rather than a physical one

the people around tubbo have already encouraged him to be emotionally open before, just a bit more pushing and i think theres a chance. is tubbo going to break before he gets better? yeah, but i dont think its going to come in the form of him dying or even an argument with ranboo- which i just do not think will happen in the way most seem to think it will. they are genuinely good partners that love and care for each other, they consistently interact and work together on almost everything. yes they need better communication, but ultimately "i went/am going through a traumatizing experience and i didnt want to worry you by telling" is not a relationship breaker, neither of them are dangerous or harmful to each other. i understand the want to have a lot of action but thats likely going to come with the prison plotline, and tubbos relationships with the prisoners is a much different situation than his relationships with ranboo and quackity (INTENSELY different). hell, dreams in fuckin prison and is still a bigger danger to tubbo than ranboo and quackity could ever be

Songs by the Oh Hellos i assosciate with dream smp characters/settings/scenarios

I've been listening to the oh hellos nonstop for the past few months and i think their vibe really fits the dsmp, so im gonna talk about a few of their songs i associate with certain things on the smp

*note: a lot of the meanings of the songs i mention are just what i interperet the songs to mean. also, a lot of these involve tommy because i am biased lol

Second Child, Restless Child - tommy, especially season 1 tommy. its about a reckless, inexperienced kid who wants to experience the world around them, and it has a feeling of boundless energy to it. i especially think the line "and they saw trouble in my eyes, they were quick to recognize the devil in me" fits how the other characters saw him.

Trees - lmanburg. "safe inside the walls we built we found ourselves a home" i heard this and just. immediately thought of lmanburg. the song's about taking risks because even if it fails, the knowledge that you tried and whatever positives you got out of it is enough. lmaburg failed in the end, its ideals abandoned, it wasnt meant to last. but they still have the memories of it, even if it was long ago. "but heartache pales in comparison to love"

Wishing Well - wilbur. i'll be honest, part of why i associate this song with him is cus it fits a lot of my headcanons for his backstory. nevertheless, like the protagonist of the song, wilbur did not find what he was seeking, in this case a place to uphold his ideals and be safe from tyranny, and he ended up falling to his own mistakes.

Theseus - new lmanburg. hah, you thought i was going to say tommy and techno, didnt u? nah, the song uses theseus' ship as a metaphor for change, being the same thing and yet being repaired so much its nothing like what it once was, and i think its really fitting of new lmanburg. lmanburg is no single use ark to discard in an instant, "like Theseus' ship, we'll fix the busted bits". also the lines "til its both nothing like and everything its always been / its a wonder we expect a thing to stay the same at all" and "we keep fixing what we know is only bound to break."

Exeunt - exile. ive mentioned this before, but i correlate Exeunt with tommy running away from logstedshire and dream. the song is about gaining the courage and will to leave a manipulative abuser, but the traces of their manipulation are still there. "lo, the rose is gone from my eyes, so decieving", tommy realizing dream was manipulating him, 'just watching him'. the line "even when you hunt me with ire, relentless / batter down my door when you find me defenseless" heavily reminds me of dream seeking out tommy in the arctic. i just think its very fitting :')

I Was Wrong - eret. i dont think i really need to explain this one. its a song about regret and guilt, realizing the desicion you were so confident in was so, so wrong. they knew some of their old friends might never forgive them, but they are still oh so sorry.

Dear Wormwood - tommy again. it reminds me of two moments with tommy: him standing up to dream at the nether portal with techno and at the community house when him and techno split off. the line "i know who you are now / and i name you my enemy" reflects tommy realizing dream was never his friend and breaking out of his manipulation. also "steadily becoming what i hate" is very akin to his realization at the community house. the entire song for me is a good representation of tommy's journey throughout season 2.

The Valley - i think this fits the dream smp as a whole, but especially the children of the smp, as its about how the mistakes of older generations affect the younger. it has a really wild feel to it, and i think it captures the air of what the smp feels like, at least to me.

ok so i have a few questions. i'm a questioning system and this is really confusing

so ive heard voices before. just randomly. somewhat related to whatevers going on or something im thinking but also sometimes not. one time after a shower when i was feeling horribly dysphoric and was being annoyed at myself for coming out as lesbian one of them yelled lesbians

the other one im aware of just straight up said gross to an idea a youtuber had while i was watching them. it was weird because i found the idea really cute

i've looked into being a system before and it never really matched up but im confused still and i want answers

so today i was going to check tumblr (im on mobile on android and usually have a pretty good memory for short term things) and went into the search tab which usually only has the empires smp tag on it but the desert duo tag was there also. i didnt remember searching it or accidentally pressing it so now im very confused.

ive never had an actual memory block out like this so its weird for me and is this me being a system or something else? i just really want answers. i know i have some form of trauma when i was really young as well, but i feel like it was so obscure and not like actually insanely traumatizing that i dont think i could be a system but i also could be if that makes any sense at all

please help this is probably poorly worded but its 2 am and im honestly scared

Aww! I'm so sorry you're feeling afraid. I know mental health is a really scary topic, but you're doing great exploring it. I know it's never easy to understand what's going on with ourselves, so asking is a big step!

As my banner always says, we're not medical professionals and we can't diagnose you. All that I can do is try to help you sort out the experiences you're having and let you come to your own conclusions. I'm saying this so you don't get your hopes up that I'm going to tell you one way or another. I truly can't.

My suggestion in situations like this is likely getting old for my regular followers to read, but Journaling is a great way to get to know yourself. I've said before that I'm not talking about the classic "You need to sit down every night and write about your whole day" Journaling, I mean keeping a daily log book you make an effort to write in at least once a day. It doesn't have to be about your day. You can just right the word 'Orange' because that's how you were feeling and that's okay. It's more or less to watch your tone in the writing and to see if you miss long periods. That can be a really god way to understand if what you're experiencing lines up with a System's experiences.

Self-reflection is another go-to of mine. In order to fully understand what's happening with your mental health it's very important to take time in the evening/ when your day is ending to reflect on yourself and your actions over the day. Asking yourself questions like "What did I do today?" And "How did I feel about that?" Can help you learn if you're losing time or feeling- both can be signs of DID/OSDD. IT's important to look at how you feel toward the people you interact with regularly too. Do you suddenly hate the parent you like the best some days? Did you feel out of place when that feeling came up?

It's important to remember that especially if you are a teenager, shifts in emotion and personality are normal. Even for a singlet, you can feel emotions you're not fully understanding or processing strictly because your body and brain are shifting and changing. It's a natural part of growing up, but it can be very confusing and hard to understand.

So I suppose my advice would be to gather as much information on yourself as possible and then to take a step back and look at al the signs and symptoms as a whole. This will give you a better understanding of yourself and your world. I hope this helps Anon. Best of luck.

Below you will see the list of people I currently feel comfortable writing for. I will only write for these people for now, but don't be shy to send something in about other people! I just might not add anything to it.

On top of that, I will not write for Tubbo, Tommy, Purpled, or Ranboo OR any character they portray in Tales From The SMP. They are minors and that would make me uncomfortable. Please do not ask or try to persuade me.

I will write NSFW, but know that if something makes me uncomfy I will not write about it or accept asks about it. Know that just because it is on this list, it doesnt mean I think you're weird for liking this stuff or anything! Most of it is stuff I just dont feel comfortable with and if you send in an ask about something and you see its added to the list later, don't feel bad! I'm still learning things about myself and feeling out my boundaries, so thank you for asking and helping me find then! There are people I straight-up wont write NSFW for ever and that is indicated beside their name in the masterlist. Please do not send NSFW asks in for those who I wont write NSFW for.

I WILL write for TFTSMP characters! Just ask and I'll probably be on it! I am only really knowledgable about the characters from The Masquerade and The Wild West, however.

In reference to my "Ideas for the Abyss" posts- if you would like to flesh out any idea you see, I give you full permission to! I just ask that you tag me in the fic to give me some credit for the idea, but also so I can read it!

If I ever overstep any boundaries in my writing, please let me know and provide clips of said cc stating that boundary! I am not omniscient and don't know EVERYONE'S boundaries, especially if they change! Just let me know.

While we are on the subject of me being imperfect, let me know if I should tag something in any of my fics with a trigger warning! The last thing I want to do is cause someone emotional harm with my fics, and I want to tag things appropriately!

I do not get paid to do this, this is a hobby, so expect me to treat it like one. I will write as much or as little as I want, please do not try to pressure me into uploading constantly. I do this to relax and hopefully put some smiles on some people's faces, do not turn this into a chore for me.

My take on anons flirting with me(though I doubt itll happen, better safe than sorry) is that if you wouldn't say it to my face, don't send it in. I know it's easy to feel more confident under a veil of anonymity as you sit behind a screen, but I am also a human being. Honestly the great thing is there really isnt a good side right now.

We have like... 3 factions in this conflict with different players aligning themselfs more or less.

Dreams side has who knows what intentions. Never was the good side. Not to say they are eeeevil but they are definitelly meant to be the bad side. Dream trying to enforce absolute order and unity through means of manipulation and all that jazz.

Lmanberg is. Well. Corrupt. Not corrupt in the schlatt way but also yeah kinda in the schlatt way because they are being selfish. Sure you can excuse exiling tommy and thus betraying all of the principles lmanberg was founded on because they want peace so desperately. But then they turn around on that and hunt down technoblade having a nontrial and planning to just execute the man. Now they are planning on imitating schlatts whole public festival execution which is fucked on so many levels. Because they will once again subject innocent civilians to witnessing the death of someone in a setting that was supposed to be safe. Like. You dont use your citizens as a cover for political murder thats fucked up. Sure any of those things are excusable but they are piling up to a point where, while still excusable, you gotta admit. Theyve become corrupt.

And the sbi faction is. Well they were never really good to begin with. Neutral. Anarchy. I mean tbf technoblade is the main part of the faction. Yes hes been sticking to his principles. And that is great because thats what we want on this server thats what lmanberg is currently doing wrong. But neutral is neutral and not good. Not evil but also not good just neutral.

The closest we still have to an actually good side is... Tommy. And im not saying that because hes "the protagonist" and yeah hes in the sbi factiin but hear me out.

Tommy has been sticking to his morals and principles. Always. Since even the lmanberg revolution even. He doesnt compromise his morals for a higher goal which is (once again) the rabbit hole lmanberg has been heading down. Hes also not letting his personal vendettas drag other people down (lmanberg) because he keeps his bussiness his bussiness. By that i mean that hes not targetting lmanberg or dream smp to get his disks back. (Like technoblade is targeting lmanberg because the 4 people at the top tried to hurt and kill him) hes targeting whoever has the disks and hes planning on trying to talk to them. Any time technoblade even tried to get him to compromise with him Tommy just immediatelly blocked the offer. Techno helps tommy get the disks, tommy helps him destroy lmanberg? Nope. Techno helps tommy get the disks, tommy just has to maybe be mean to the people he once called friends, who exiled him only to then either never visit or if they (only quackity tbh) did theyd only mock him and his terrible experiences? Nah tommy isnt gonna hurt them. Techno helps tommy get his disks, other minor details to be discussed later? Yeah... Maybe.

Its extremely frustrating to watch because TOMMY THE BLADE IS WILLING TO FIGHT WITH YOU AND ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LET HIM KICK YOUR OLD FRIENDS ASSES AND YOU SAY NO??? But itsalso great because yes. Say no.

And the irony of the situation is that tommys not even fighting for the greater good here. Hes the only one not fighting for it in fact. Dream wants lmanberg gone for selfish reasons yes but the main one is so there is peace. No conflict between nations if theres only one. All that jazz.

Lmanberg acts increasingly... Fucked up. Because they think itll keep the country safe and also justice for past actions.

And techno is doing it because anarchy and also justice. They hurt him and his horse and treated him unfairly? They get treated the same way back.

Tommy just. He just wants his fucking disks man. They mean a lot to him and he wants them back so he will get them back.

That doesnt mean tommy is like. The good person from which we judge the others actions. But he is pretty much the only person i can think of that has no bad intentions and no corrupted morals rn

yk during like 1month i was like “im a part of a system,, i have osdd and we are 4-7 alter” but 2week ago **i** had an anger moment and decide to thorw it all (the journal that **i** write) and an app that **i** use for keping track of the switchs.

and now that im on tumblr that come back to me,, the fact is that i dont thinks **i** fake because you do it and know it but what is i do this for coping with my trauma ?

what if my brain for coping with my trauma (and my actual situation) is like you gonna act like an another person so you dont have all the pression on your back,, so you dont have to take care of this (please tell me thzt someone understand and relate)

also **im** a minor,, **im** young and multiple personn says that its take multiple years to be aware that you are a part of a system,, tjhat when you are a teen you cant know it.

there is also the fact that **i** add two introject of the dream smp and bevause **i** was really into it yk and that weird that **i** wasnt aware of others introjects (of danganronpa for example cause i was v into it before yk) but **i** had the “maybe i just dont know them yet” or just didnt developp an alter at all.

i had also the problem of my childhood trauma are not **that** bad,, (SMALL TRAUMA DUMP)      like i was slap//hit by my parents for multiple years and kinda been abuse mentally by my parents but that not enough for me to develop alters maybe i have others trauma that i can remeber but i dont thinks thzt enough for havings osdd (END OF THE SMALL TRAUMA DUMP)

i know that everybody sensivity is differente and maybe that younger me was very sensible to my “trauma” and its was maybe enough for me to develop osdd but i dont thinks so.

but there is also the fact that i dont remeber a lot of my childhood (my parents always tell me it was normal but my parents are kinda my abusers so) and the things i remeber are usually bad things (my “trauma”) and **i** also dont remember living my memories,, like i know they happens in my body but i dont remember doing/begin in the memories (i also have the problems that some of my memories are ??fake??) i cant also remember a lot things from 1-3years ago that i should remember. i feel like im sometime feel like i maybe experience dissociation but that do dissociation feel like?? like for me when i was “switching” the world around me feel fuzzy and is blurry?? also when **i** was thinkings **i** was in a system i was like **i** have osdd1b cause i didnt have amnesia beetween my “switches” the only time i had a kind of “blackout” like i had a moment that was totally black like i didnt remeber anythings its was 1years ago in class and it was for 1 to 2 minutes where i had just a big blank in my mind like i suddently kinda “wake-up” and its was pretty weird.

there is also the facxt that i have the “memory” of **me** (or at least a memory) or  begin in a white room (with a dressing table white with a mirror (were i dont remeber see my face) in an all ass white room,, kinda small one) but not in a dream way yk and that made **me** kinda thinks that was like a room in the headspace even if after i coudnt go into the headspace

also since my anger moment some alters switches but since 1week not anymore **i** thinks or maybe if im really in a system im maybe not aware cause i know you dont always know how is fronting (even if im probably not a part of a system) but yea

this really make me confuse and sad and make me feel extremly bad :((

Might be the least significant fandom but i am still such a big fan on it. i love the memes i love the top players and i love the people that do documentaries, a simple rhythm game that made me realized that yeah maybe i am a bit competative, and also one of the reasons why i got the tablet and i cant stop USING IT. i might not be grinding pp as hard as i should but i feel like it still deserves a spot - MCYT it was probably the fandom that me and cryp and thread bonded over on and i cannot thank it enough, i might not be too big on the whole smp nor do i follow most of them (only hermit craft but shh) but i cannot like express how much i love it still, techno inspired me to try and challenge myself in minecraft and dream made me want to start speedrunning (if my crappy ass computer allows it) and grian was the one that made me interested in survival again. and i am still a big ass fan of minecraft and im so glad i got into it again  - Danganronpa OH GOD DANGANRONPA cant believe i actually got into it. it helped me get so many friends and i cannot thank that enough, im really grateful that it introduced me to so many wonderful people and such a colourful cast, even if the themes are dark. and i cant express how much i love fucking egg boi and panta cause they're just such big dumbasses and i love them to bits. other characters as well, they're all so unique and inspired me so much and i am still a fan of it, and i hope it stays that way. ALSO THANKS FOR THE PERMANENT HOPE DESPAIR PTSD  - Henry stickmin  GOd i remember LOVING the series as a kid and growing up watching people play the whole thing and complete the missions is just so AMAZING. thinking about it still makes me tear up a little. I LOVE ALL THE CHARACTERS, theyre so wonderful and amazing and charles has been such a big ass comfort character to me, and probably the one that prompted my artstyle change honestly cause i was just brainrotting and drawing him for ages LMFAO but i am still so so grateful that i got into it and yes valiant hero still makes me cry alright shush

- Ace attorney starting out the year with gay lawyers only to come back with gayer lawyer energies. I CANNOT THANK ACE ATTORNEY ENOUGH HONESTLY, it has such a big ass place in my heart and im so glad i found the series, even if i dont like the direction DD and SoJ took, i am still a big fan of the series. i love phoenix i love edgeworth i love maya i love franziska i love godot i love pearls i love mia and i can go on for HOURS how ace attorney made them such fantastic colourful characters and i wouldnt mind an hour long rant on ALL of them you bet that. it helped me come to terms with that HM, maybe self-insert characters arent that cringey and inspired me for so many times, and they're basically a comfort game SLMDGSLGD

they all mean SO SO SO MUCH to me and im so glad i get to share my brainrot with friends this year instead of closeting it all to my heart, its so nice to talk to people that have the same interest and i met so many friends in the same time
