He throws his mask off when he comes home, disrobes, and walks about as he’d done in Eden – and says it’s just as much a sin to oppose the first man as it is to oppose God himself when he demands that you strip and get on the bed.

He’s never gracious, even when you obey – he takes you how he wants – with your ass up and your face down and his hand pressing down on your back between your wings – licking his lip when you wince and whimper, taking every inch of his fat cock in your tight cunt while your pearl-white feathers ruffle and shiver like a baby-bird who’d fallen from the nest.

SPOILERS FOR THE OG GAME LESSONS 16-17

His whole hehe haha jokey thing when he flirts with MC? It's because he doesn't want to get too attached because they're MORTAL but he's so desperately in love with them that he'd do anything for them!!! We've seen it!!! This man would fight DEMONS more powerful than him and go up against ANYTHING just so you're safe!!! GRAHHHH that scene in Nightbringer when Belphie was like "I'm mad." and Solomon was like "And you think I'm not?" FUCK THAT LIVES RENT FREE IN MY MIND I THINK ABOUT IT SO MUCH. Actions speak louder than words!!

He's had multiple nightmares about losing them to a demon, especially Belphegor because he actually killed MC. He also dreams of Lucifer threatening them (ANOTHER thing that happened in the OG game, but this was one that Solomon actually witnessed) except this time Solomon can't get to them and before he knows it their eyes are lifeless and he's the only one that seems to care on the dancefloor of demons who laugh at the existence of humans.

There's a small part of him that wants to convince MC to attempt to become immortal just like him so he can see them all the time, though the bigger part of him knows that isn't right. Please tell him it's okay to be selfish.

Every day, he insists on taking a picture of you. He has a secret little scrapbook of pictures and memories of you, daily memories of you. It doesn't matter if all you did that day was video call him, he'll take a screenshot of your smiling face and put that in his scrapbook. He does this so he'll have a timeline of your relationship, from the day one of you confessed to the day you pass. He'll be able to remember anything and everything about you even when you aren't there anymore.

Whenever you cuddle with Solomon and he rests his head on your chest, he's listening to your heartbeat. I actually think most if not ALL the obey me cast would do this (ESPECIALLY BELPHIE!!!!!!) just to check that you're still okay and haven't been hurt.

He has a habit of checking you for injuries whenever he sees you. He'll run his hands down your arms and down your waist just to make sure there's no wounds. It's become so habitual that he doesn't even really realize he's doing it anymore.

Prompt: Vox is an angel who is one of Heaven's messengers. He is technically a human turned angel, like Adam was and like Adam usually wears a mask--(however his mask is just a regular bank robber's mask with slots where one Blue and one green eye peer out, and it covers his soft black hair.) He is also one of the few angels Lucifer genuinely likes and can come and go from Hell any time he pleases, and One Charlie knows very well. Unfortunately for Vox, over the years visiting and delivering messages for the Morningstars, he's attracted a bit of a stalker in the radio demon. Which leads the overlord to becoming Charlie's sponsor when she opens her hotel in an attempt to actually meet the angel that accompanies his mind, that makes his heart flutter when he sees him in the sky. When Vox comes by to see the hotel and give his thoughts on redemption, Alastor is ready. He's in a brand new suit, a new coat, and he's sharpened his antlers. He also unconsciously attempts to scent the angel--not that Vox minds, he's used to Charlie rubbing up against his wings at times too. It's fine if her friends do it too.

Husker immediately knows what's going on and attempts to warn Angel Dust not to flirt with Charlie's angel uncle, not because he's Charlie's uncle, but because Alastor's in love with him, and Alastor DOESN'T share.

Charlie, being the sweetheart that she is immediately offers Vox a room and he say yes, and gets the room across from Alastor's. He of course changes it to his preferences, so now the final floor of the upstairs only has 2 large rooms, and a warring color scheme of blues and reds.

Alastor of course just gets worse and worse now consciously scenting the angel when he can, and bringing Vix gifts (and paying I.M.P ridiculous amounts of money to get fruits seeds and coco seeds so he can start garden just so he doesn't have to keep paying said Imps for said fruits and treats!)

Vox of course doesn't realize Alastor's attempting to woo him. He thinks they're great friends and that friends obviously have eskimo kisses (scenting) around 5-6 times a day, and they help each other with grooming/preening (Alastor with Vox's wings and feathers by plucking out the broken feathers and massaging oil in them, and Vox by helping getting rid of any stuck velvet.) And obviously friends share beds, cuddling together, Alastor being the big spoon during the night. They're friends. Obviously.

Husker snickers as Vox and Alastor share another eskimo kiss in front of the bar.

Hi! While I greatly appreciate this prompt, sadly I don't really have the motivation to work on this and I don't want to leave it rotting in my inbox while you wonder if anything has happened to it! Sometimes yall hang out with Lute or your own friends but most of the times it's just you two! And you both mostly gossip, make plans for the future, or do some stupid shit on impulse (like doing those stupid prank videos and almost committing a crime on accident in the process)

Definitely needs a lot of time to actually get attached to you. After Eve and Lilith he needs to build a lot of trust in order to actually get attached to someone, and in order to fall in love is a whole different story. He closes himself off to long-term relationships, going after mostly just hook-ups, he doesn't want to go through what happened before, in all honesty he's a bit- not scared but mainly hesitant- to get into actual long-term relationships due to what happened with Lilith and Eve. Adam definitely makes her hang out with you, like whenever they have free days hell go out with Lute and try to find you so that you three can hang our and once he finds you he leaves you two by finding some excuse like "Oh yeah uh I gotta go uh feed my cockroach be right back" (jk he won't even make an excuse mf will just go)

Lute and you honestly don't mind yall just chill, and at some point as you two hung out one day you could see she was just staring at you... it was so random too like you just noticed randomly and all of a sudden she just confesses calmly and you're left there like "WHAT????"

Once you two make official just know that she's gonna be around you almost ALL the time. Ya know how she's always by Adam's side?? Yeah expect that for yourself but 10x more. And it's not like yall even have to talk no shell just be there and yall can be quiet as hell its super chill

Not much into physical touch by if you're into hugging and PDA then shell allow it but only to a certain extent. She's more of a gift giver and acts of service person!

You two met cause of Charlie, you were a sinner at the hazbin hotel, not really because you seemed redemption more like you seemed just a place to sleep in. But hey a member is a member!

You were the one who mainly had to come up to him first since this mf is not good with conversations at all, he's awkward as hell , fidgety, very random, and also he's pretty blunt so if he started a conversation he'd probably say something stupid on accident to you and get you mad or awkward so it's definitely best for you to start it... so you did!!

Bro definitely asks if you wanna get married in the span of 4 months while being together. If you say no then he asks lies some other day until you say yes and he can plan when to do his proposal. But if you say yes immediatly just expect him to start making preparations for the damn honeymoon already 💀💀

You and Charlie become super close like REALLY close after she finds out about your relationship with her dad :)!!

Can't concentrate because idk why but right now I feel VERY enthusiastic about helluva boss. So i decided to yeah, come here to maybe bother you in your askbox so I can get it all out.

But like.

Stolitz. The main ship.

You could say that Blitzø and Stolas are the two main characters and you wouldn't be quite wrong. Those two losers are the ones that have most of the fandom emotionally attached because. Because. Just. Imps, in the show, are hell's lowest class. Them there are the Sinners (people who died and now are in hell), then there are the Overlords (powerful Sinners because they either did something terribly bad on earth or I think some of them were born in hell?), then the nobility, like princes, dukes of hell. And then Lucifer who is the king. Ok so.

Blitzø is an imp. Hell's lowest. Stolas is a prince. Hell's nobility. They both met as kids because the day of his tenth birthday, Stolas' father told him about his arranged marriage, Stolas was sad and so his father "bought" Blitzø for an afternoon. Blitzø's father told him to steal anything valuable from Stolas' house because nobility. So Blitzø tricks Stolas into helping home steal. And they both enjoy themselves while doing it. When it's all done, Blitzø could have left, but he didn't because he had a good time.

It seems that from that moment, Stolas had some sort of crush on Blitzø.

Then, years later, Blitzø wants to make his own business: killing people that haven't died yet, being hired by hell's Sinners. But in order to go to Earth, he needs a portal, a spell. And, one of the places where he can find something to go to Earth is in a book Stolas owns.

So. Blitzø happens to decide to steal the book the same day of Stolas'wedding anniversary. His wife (who doesn't love him, and apparently is abusive towards him) is laughing at him, ridicules him in from of the guests. So Stolas drinks fucking absinthe, and while he's drinking, the guards bring Blitzø to him because he tried to break in.

Strong alcohol leads to bad decisions so somehow they end up in Stolas' room, Stolas flirting with Blitzø and Blitzø playing along because he wants the book that desperately. And kaboom they end up fucking. Next morning Blitzø leaves with the book, fucking crashes Stolas'wife with cake and so she knows of the infidelity.

So. After some time, Stolas'proposes that Blitzø can stay with the book on the condition that once a month he fucks him. But it's like nonsense because in the same book there's a spell that can grant free access to Earth without the necessity of the book so Stolas could have easily made that. But he didn't because apparently he enjoyed himself too much with Blitzø.

Their emotions to one another are a MESS. Specially considering both have daddy issues. Stolas sees Blitzø as an equal, but hell's social system is stuck into his head no matter how hard he tries. And Blitzø has severe inferiority complex, thinking of Stolas as very, very above him socially. And also, all previous romantic relationships Blitzø had were apparently a failure so he craves love but fears attachment.

So yeah. It's all a MESS. But it's a mess worth watching.

➳ lucifer is too good for petty jealousy, he is. but the way the other demon’s hand lingers on your arm, the way their smile is just a bit too wide… it’s making him feel things. “oh, mc,” he says smoothly, breezing up to you. “there you are. i had worried you were lost.” slipping an arm around you, he pulls you into him, baring his teeth at the other demon, who quickly senses the claim he’s laying on you. you’re oblivious to the rising tension, smiling up at lucifer. he melts slightly upon seeing it, giving you a quick kiss, but only feels fully better when the other demon is far, far away from you.

➳ mammon knows he’s got to step in. he can’t have some lowly human getting too chummy with you, his favorite human! it’s just not happening. they’re not even that cute, not compared to him at least, and mammon strolls up to you, clenched fists hidden in his jacket pocket. “you ready to go, mc?” he asks brightly, not even giving the other human a glance. “i’m getting pretty hungry and i figured we could go to our restaurant.” he does flick his eyes over then, watching as the word ‘ours’ sinks in. “i want to see if we can sit where we were when we went on our first date.”

➳ levi feels jealous a lot, but this was much, much worse. usually, people didn't try to flirt with you when he was right there! the demon was saying something (probably something stupid), and you were laughing. laughing! gritting his teeth, levi grabbed a bottle of water, making his way towards you. “here,” he offers, handing you the water bottle. “i thought you might be thirsty.” you beam at him, telling him that you actually were, making his heart flutter. levi allows himself one smug, assertive look at the other demon, before he manages to fully distract you, pulling you up to look at something across the room.

➳ satan is moving without thinking, putting himself between you and the other demon. he can’t stand how you’re actually listening to them, nodding along to whatever they’re saying. “mc,” he says firmly, smiling tightly at you. “you ready to go?” the other demon tries to interject but he doesn’t let them, pulling you along behind him. “sorry,” he apologizes after a few minutes when you give him a reprimanding look. “you were just talking with them and i didn’t like it.” satan wasn’t used to jealousy- wrath and anger was more his style, obviously, and usually, satan was assured enough in himself and his skill to not to feel worried or inferior, but with you, he often felt himself feeling things he had never felt before.

➳ asmo drapes himself over you, all honey-sweet and loose-limbed. grinning at the person you were talking with, asmo watches with pleasure as they shuddered slightly, unsure of why they suddenly felt so threatened. ah, asmo loved uncanny valley. “hey darling,” he murmurs in your ear, blinking slowly at the other person, waiting for them to take a hint. “mind if i steal you away?” before you can agree, he’s gently guiding you towards the dancefloor, giving the person one last long look, victory sweet on his tongue, almost as sweet as your scent.

➳ beel towels off his face, eyeing the demon that was talking to you over by the treadmill. they seem to be pretending not to know how to use the machine, something that was getting on beel’s nerves, especially since he’d seen the demon pull that trick with other gym members. “mc,” he calls, flexing his muscles the slightest bit as you and the demon looked over. “want to spot for me?” he puts on his best puppy dog eyes, undoubtedly contrasting his menacing stance, but they do the job as you gave the demon a quick apology, skipping over. beel gives you a quick peck, raising his eyebrows at the other demon, clearly telling them to stay away.

➳ belphie sidles up to you, curling his arm around your waist territorially. he stares at the human blandly, waiting for them to stop talking, then makes his own move. “i saw the next item on our list over there,” he lies, pointing blindly, “but i didn’t know which brand to get. will you come help me?” you look between belphie and the other human, and he scoffs inwardly. as if the other human would win in any situation. you agree to help him, and belphie says his thanks, dropping a kiss to the top of your head. “thanks baby,” he says, just loud enough for the other human to hear, resisting a chuckle as they huff and turn away.

In all honesty Lucifer's threats are motivated by plot and only disguised as flirting. Belphie was probably flirting though like idk how else they're gonna explain that shit.

But in every other incident, the demon in question doesn't actually make things physical so there's the case for a satirical interpretation where it really is just flirting.

Like, they're all just dropping you the demon equivalent of massive fucking hints and you just skate by like "oh sorry lets nobody die tonight" while they all internally go "i literally told you i just want to have sex???" and google:

Here are some general Headcannons for the series, along with some answers to long-awaited questions in my inbox about the series! I love you all so dearly! If you have not read the series yet, be aware there are spoilers ahead! Read under the cut!

Timeline

To reduce the amount of spoilers, I set the timeline for this story somewhere between Season 1 and Season 3. Obviously that gives time for Lucifer and Mc’s relationship to develop, her to be offered a position as Ambassador, and her to still build up relationships with the brothers she was not as close to in season 1.

Mc’s Characteristics

The way Mc is written in this fic is similar to the characteristics of my Mc, Storm. Storm was a huge inspiration for this fic, as I wanted to utilize her and develop her character a bit more (and now I'm very attached lol help).

Primary features of the Mc: quiet/soft spoken, hyper-empathetic, short stature, long hair, pre-established lower self-esteem even before the assault, very patient, enjoys a lot of Lucifer’s interests (classical music, ballroom dancing, etc.), pretty organized in general, tends to be a workaholic, a little bit oblivious/ditzy, very optimistic prior to the assault but becomes very defeatist after being abused, even prior to the abuse she was very reserved in her sexuality and did not display her body much, she gets embarrassed easily at obvious flirting.

Mc’s Relationship to the Characters (Other Than Lucifer)

Mammon: He is her closest friend, if that wasn’t obvious lol. She often confides in Mammon a lot- not that he gives the best advice, but he’s a good listener despite his chaos. He definitely is very protective over her and this grows exponentially after the assault.

Satan: Their relationship is distant prior to the assault. She grows closer to him as he aids in her healing more than the others (outside of Simeon and Lucifer of course).

Simeon: Second closest friend, next to Mammon. She isn’t aware that he has feelings for her outside of “best friend” vibes until he starts calling her Lamb...then she suspects maybe he does, but can’t tell for sure because of her disrupted perception.

Solomon: Their relationship is close, but they aren't "besties" by any means. She mainly connected with him at first because he was the only other human around her, but they bonded a bit more after he began aiding her in her class work. After the pap exam, their relationship is definitely going to take a hit, but thats all i'll say right now. 😶

Levi: Probably the most distant from her out of all the brothers- which is why I assigned him with the most uninvolved role with the entire pap exam scene. He has a strong desire to be closer to her though.

Asmo: Mc had been reasonably close with Asmo prior to the assault, but afterwards they grew closer. He has been helping her a lot with the shame of her body and feeling contaminated/dirty as a result of the assault. There will def be more scenes of those interactions coming in the future!

Diavolo: Mc was more distant from Diavolo than all of the brothers. Mostly because he’s so darn busy. He absolutely was planning on getting closer to her though- like he would ask Lucifer to bring her to meetings with him and such- because he had a crush on her. Diavolo was very heartbroken when Lucifer began courting the Mc and a lot of jealousy came out until he finally got over it (somewhat). He still tends to be over-powering in the sense that he gets the final say in her care- despite her wishes (as evidenced by the situation with the pap).

Beel: Beel is probably the 3rd closest to the Mc in this fic- I tried to show that by the way he is very conflicted in parts 6 and 7 about engaging in the pap. Beel is also very protective of her and is definitely going to be depicted as experiencing his own form of secondhand trauma later in the series as a result of learning the details of the assault, and having to witness the Mc go through the pap.

Belphie: Belphie’s relationship with Mc is complicated. Obviously this fic is after the incident where Mc is killed by Belphie, so she (and Lucifer) is trying to regain trust in him- which is why Belphie was irritated at the idea of going behind their backs in the pap situation.

Barbatos: Their relationship is pretty close the more Mc spends time around the castle with Lucifer. Barbatos has always known she would end up with Lucifer romantically, so he tried to keep his distance to avoid being hurt by developing feelings for her like the others. I tried to depict their relationship as more of an older brother/younger sister or mentor/mentee type of situation.

Differences in Trauma Processing

I figured I would lay in a little of my background knowledge in trauma for these headcannons!!!

In regards to the 5 Fs (Fight, Flight, Freeze, Fawn, and Fortify), Mc and Lucifer react very differently depending on the situation at hand and what types of things are happening in the scene. Overall, I tried to depict the Mc as a combination of Flight and Freeze, whereas Lucifer is at first depicted as exclusively Fight. As you can see in the later parts, I begin to develop the characters to be a bit more complex in how they react to traumatic events- much like people are in real life!

Lucifer begins to develop a lot more traits of Freeze in the later parts, and I even toss in a few Fortify and Flight responses for his character too. I wanted Lucifer to be more complex than just “Sadist with anger problems” because he absolutely is more than that. While his wrath is a huge part of his personality in this fic, I wanted to break it down more and give him more depth- elaborating into why the responses happen, and where his breaking point lies in regards to his Fight responses. but even with his anger- it is very complex. Lucifer often doesn't understand why he is getting so viscerally angry (like when Dia makes the light-hearted joke in part 2- Lu knows he doesn't yet know about the assault, but his anger continues to grow regardless)

For the Mc, she kind of goes the opposite direction! Like with Simeon’s betrayal, she definitely shows a bit more of a Fight, despite the Freeze response still being very present. For future parts of this fic, she will continue to primarily display Flight and Freeze, but don’t be shocked if there are a few more variations thrown in there!

In regards to the other Characters, they each will have their own experiences of trauma just by being in close proximity to the two most traumatized individuals here.

Mammon obviously has his first response as Fortify- he denies a lot at first, but eventually succumbs to the truth when Lucifer tells him. His response I tried to depict as a combo between Fortify, Fight, and Freeze- with Fight becoming more present toward the more recent parts when he finally snaps in part 7.

For Solomon, he is definitely in the Fortify at first. He is fully denying a lot of the severe impacts for quite some time- up until he gets the rude awakening in part 9. He does display a bit of fight at his willingness to continue despite knowingly harming his friend.

Lucifer Can Feel Mc’s Pain

In this fic, I absolutely try to drive home the headcannon that when Demons pick a mate, they often share in their pain in some way, shape or form (whether or not it is inflicted by them or someone else, and whether or not it is physical or emotional pain)

So, for example- when the Mc is raped, he instinctively knows something is wrong bc of the ache in his chest. When he is pulverizing her rapist, he feels the burning in his lungs when her breathing stops. When she feels terrified of him in the scene where he postures toward Simeon and Solomon, he feels similar fear.

Lucifer is not aware that this is the case. Like he knows that when demons mate, this is a thing they can happen to both partners, but he doesn't think it can happen with an inter-species relationship between a demon and a human.

As Lucifer's emotions intensify, he does start to figure this out though. And its not just pain- most of his emotions are tied to Mc. Hers can often be tied to him too, but thats mostly just because she is hyper-empathetic.

What was Mc’s Past Like?

To say that Mcs life in the Human world was bad is truly an understatement. I Hc that she comes from a very emotionally abusive household, and has a lot of insecurity tied to her family. Her body image and self-esteem issues are a result of the verbal abuse she experienced, and this resulted in her withdrawing from many of her peers, so she was bullied throughout school for being the quiet weirdo who liked books and animals/bugs more than people.

Her immediate family is rather small (only her father, mother, and older sister), and she doesn't have much contact with her extended family. She mostly cut them off after graduating high school and going on with her life (obviously that trajectory will be where ever you as the reader had her go- whether it be working, going to college, or being a nomad. If im thinking of my vision of the Mc, that is Storm- so she went to college).

She is only really reached out to by them when they need something from her, and when her father died in a car accident. This happened while she was in Devildom during her first year, and Lucifer was absolutely by her side throughout that time as her family tried to force her to come to the funeral. She did go, but Lucifer attended with her and his threatening aura kept her shitty family members away for awhile, but they sort of just blamed her for being gone as to why he was dead.

Lucifer obviously had none of this and this is the point in time where he starts thinking of ways to keep her in Devildom indefinitely since it didn't really seem like she had much going for her in the human world. She had a few friends, but bc they're all adults with their own lives, they only meet up once a month- sometimes less- so that wouldn't be much of a difference if she lived in Devildom.

More About the Demon Who Assaulted Mc

So that demon I hadn't given much thought to at first, but as I am planning the trajectory of the story, I have given it some more intense thought.

The demon who raped her was in a few of her classes at RAD, and was very vocal about his distaste for Diavolo's exchange program plan. When he found out one of the humans was weak and had no knowledge of the realms, he began plotting his attack.

Like I said, this demon had been friends with Belphie. They both bonded over their distaste of humans and they would often talk about going to the human world and wreak havoc. Belphie only wanted to kill humans, but this demon had very specific desires that Belhpie thought were a little more fucked up. Per Beels request, he distanced himself from the demon because of how uncomfortable his open talk of abusing humans made him.

After Belphie was locked in the attack and that whole sitch with the Mc went down, he distanced himself from the demon more, but because he had never acted on anything he figured Mc would be safe- especially if the demon saw you with him.

He is a lower demon, and doesn't have much status/power. The only way he was noticed at all be Lucifer prior to this point was his habit of skipping class and painting graffiti on school grounds with derogatory comments toward Lucifer and Diavolo.

After the rape, Belphie feels incredibly guilty for ever associating with this scum, and takes on a lot of blame for your attack- especially since he had failed to warn Lucifer about how he frequently talked about raping humans on the reg. He's glad Lucifer killed him, but he would have liked to have done it himself.

A/N: I just mentioned something about missing Jack and forgot I had this sitting in my inbox! Thanks for sending this in and sorry it’s taken me so long to get to it. I looked at the lyrics for the song and this is the idea that immediately came to me! I hope you like it!

“Now it’s time for some minglin’,” he said to himself as he turned off the comm hidden in his suit jacket. He looked around the room and sighed. “If I find anyone I wanna mingle with that is.” This place was full of people who were up on their high horses and never came down. His eyes scanned the room slowly. At first he looked past you, but then he looked back and noticed just how bored you looked. You sipped at one of those fancy drinks and rolled your eyes at whatever the man next to you was whispering in your ear. Suddenly, you turned to the man and smiled, seemingly excusing yourself and getting the hell away from him. Jack followed your every move with his eyes and waited until he saw you step outside to join you out there.

“Stuffy in there, ain’t it?” he asked and you turned your head just enough to look over your shoulder.

“A stuffy room full of stuffy people,” you responded before turning to face forward again.

“You here with your husband or something?” He moved until he stood side-by-side with you.

“No.”

“Boyfriend?”

“Nope.”

“Girlfriend?” He had to cover all the bases.

You turned to him. “You ask a lot of questions, Mr...”

“Daniels. Jack Daniels.” He stuck his hand out and you shook it.

“Like the whiskey? Is that a joke?” You got a good look at him. The bolo tie was unlike anything you had ever seen. You looked down at his feet and noticed the cowboy boots. The only thing missing was a cowboy hat which you were sure he had somewhere.

“No ma’am. That’s my name.” He smiled when he saw the way you looked at him.

“I could use a whiskey right about now,” you murmured and he raised his eyebrows. “The drink.”

“A fancy lady like you drinkin’ whiskey? Let me guess, you like that expensive stuff?” He leaned against the railing and crossed his arms over his chest.

“Give me some Jameson or...Jack Daniels any day.” You gave him a look and he smirked.

“You ain’t like those people in there at all, are you?”

“No and neither are you,” you pointed out.

“Did the tie give me away?” he asked and you laughed. “Hey, this might be a little outta line, but you wanna maybe get out of here?”

“Please.”

You followed him down to his car--a Bronco--and he opened the door for you. On the passenger seat sat a cowboy hat. He moved it and threw it into the backseat.

“I knew it,” you said.

“Knew what?”

“That you had a cowboy hat.” You looked at him and he shrugged.

“What can I say?” He helped you get into the car then closed the door. He climbed in on the driver’s side and turned to you. “So...where to, ma’am?”

“Surprise me.”

“You sure about that?” He put his arm over the back of your seat. “You gotta remember I ain’t like those people in there. You’re in for a wild ride,” he warned.

“Maybe I need something wild in my life.”

“Well, then, let’s go.” He winked at you before starting the Bronco. You sat back and put your feet up on the dashboard, making him smile over at you as he pulled off a little too fast.
