1. Haikyuu — A Sage of Love and Legend; Loved this series so much!! The fact it has some of my favourite tropes plus fantasy au!? Sign me the fck up. I loved it so much, i like read it all within a couple days 😭. It also 100% inspired me to write my own haikyuu fic which is just sitting in my drafts since like 2020 💀 but definitely favourite story

2. Haikyuu — but for me, there is a storm; god such a beautiful fic. I love haikyuu and i love pacific rim. Together? BEAUTIFUL SHIT. Loved it so much, can only wish there was more.

3. My Hero Academia — A Study In Deceit; I love literally everything by mentallypapaya, my favourite mha fic on ao3. Their shit is the funniest ever and this is one of their amazing aizng works. Especially since it’s like a sort of au of Sherlock. Definitely one of my favs and i love every update it gets!!

4. My Hero Academia — blackugou widow; PEOPLE NEED TO DO MORE REINCARNATION FICS FOR ME. I adore this concept, the writing and everything about this! Espeically since it’s my favorite characters bakugou and natasha <3

5. The Witcher (all media types) — Rue and daisies, hand in hand; im such a sucker for jaskier angst. This is one of the many that i have saved in my bookmarks 🫶🏽

6. Kuroko’s Basketball — Kiseki no Sedai of Mahoutokoro; KNB AND HARRY POTTER? I love it, i love it. Can’t get enough.

7. Kuroko’s Basketball — Of Unlikely Friendships, Sneaky Bets, Shogi and Sake; I NEED MORE HANAMIYA AND KUROKO. They are my favourite duo. I want more of them together please

8. Kuroko’s Basketball — When Opposites Attract; Hanamiya and Kuroko. Need i say more? Plus the gom and kuroko angst? Even better.

9. SK8 the Infinity — Sanctuary Series; a sucker for found family and sk8 infinity fills that hole inside of me. This gives me exactly what i need

10. My Hero Academia — Ignite; i love this series, because i love bakugou, miruko and hawks interacting. My favorite trio, its always written so chaotic and I love it. Please i need more to saite me.

My top tens! Love these all so, so much. I love going back and re-reading them or waiting for the next updates. Honestly theirs a lot more, but these are close to my heart 🩵 i hope you check em out!

As for my username, i made it around the end of 2019? I was really, REALLY, into Haikyuu and Attack on Titan at the time. So i had my two favourite characters name together, Shoyo and Levi. Which is how i had the name, it’s stuck for the last few years. I did think of changing it but i love it lots.

Oh I think I can actually answer that without rambling too much !! (<- took an entire week to answer the ask and select the fics, and I commented on each one of them lol) It won't be a Top in order of preference tho, there's no actual classment, it's just the ones I loved the most.

The Way I Behaved - EraserMic (MHA)

This fanfic gave me the inspiration to write my greatest work (still unfinished to this day) and literally changed so many things about me. It also made me discover a whole genre of music that I've never listened to before and with which I am entirely in love now. Prepare to cry tho, because this is deeply heartbreaking. It's a Villain Mic AU where Aizawa was never a teacher. And it is good.

What if Percy did become a God - Percy Jackson and the Olympians (based on the books !!! do not read if you just watched the show !!!)

The title says everything. This is not a happy story, you will cry, I promise. It's short, like a 1k word OS, it's really poetic, it's deep, it's beautiful, and also, it's painful. Humans were never meant to be gods, not even Percy. It's written like a poem, I read it so many times and it hurt me every time.

Demon and Angel Professors - Ineffable Spouses (Good Omens)

Not a fanfiction but a serie of short works about Crowley and Aziraphale and the people around them. A teachers AU very nice to read with many Original Characters (the students) who are all captivating and appreciable. The story is extremely queer-positive and neurodivergent inclusive and physical handicap representative, honestly, you want to read it. There's everything inside it. If you have chronic pain or if you're a closeted queer or even a curious ally who wants to understand their peers, this is what you need. The love is so pure it's overwhelming.

Honor and Vengeance on the High Sea - Zuko (ATLA)

Tbh this deserves to be published, it's a novel itself (I haven't finished it yet). The author reappropriated the Avatar universe to write something completely new. It's an AU where Zuko becomes a Pirate after his banishment and fights against the Fire Nation Navy, and eventually joins the Avatar's team. There's a whole work around internalized homophobia, the discovery of the self, acceptance, injustice, family trauma and everything. Original Characters are cool too. Chapters are long and very, very complete, you can see the author has historical and cultural knowledge.

Strength, the meaning of - Asano Gakuhou (Assassination Classroom)

I can't believe a fanfic about this total asshole made it to my top 10, but it is beautifully written. The progressive mental breakdown of a man who used to stand proud above everyone, the slow fall down to hell without even realizing it. There's also his son's POV here, which is equally beautifully written. I really hate the man and I don't like the fact that the end of AssClass completely disregard the consequences of what happened on the character's mental state, and reading how even him wasn't okay at all is very pleasant to read. That's karma my bitch.

Je suis assis - BokuAka (Haikyuu)

Yeah it's in french and on wattpad. It has been a while since I read it but I still remember the principal. It's a OS anyway so it's not very long (we didn't do that 20k words OS on Wattpad, this madness is only popular on AO3 lol). Since I'm sensitive to everything that is around handicap, it touched me. It ended up being cute and warm. Honestly I was more thinking of another BokuAka fanfiction but I couldn't remember the name nor found it online so I put this one.

25 - Riren (SnK)

Yeah yeah I know, pedo ship etc, but I was 14 and this is a High School AU where they're both 16 so, it's okay I guess. Yes the name of the fanfic is twenty-five. It's in french, it's on wattpad, and there's Eren's POV too. I don't know how I'm supposed to describe it... I think you have to read it, it's not actually strange or weird but, it's a whole experience.

Here there be dragons - Centennial Husbands (the Sandman)

This is the exact definition of love. What is love to me ? This fanfiction. Engagement, devotion, caring, this is it, this fanfic has the meaning of all these words. I had a hard time reading it because I hate ultra-long OS (I need CHAPTERS, give me a BREAK) but it was soooo enjoyable, and I was crying the whole time 'cause it's so pure and beautiful.

Palm to Palm - KaRen (Assassination Classroom)

Yes I am a part of the extremely tiny fandom that ships Karma and Ren (I do ship Karma with multiple people throughout the manga lmao) but only in THIS specific context. And this is beautifully written, I can't stop re-reading it. Also, the name of the ship makes me laugh. Karma and Ren relationship after losing Gakushuu -the boy they both love above everything else- is peak romance.

Le goût du chocolat - L x Light (Death Note)

I honestly don't remember a thing about this fanfiction except a single sentence, but I do know that I totally fell in love with it. It was one of my fave fanfic when I was full active on Wattpad, and I even archived it because I didn't want to lose it. I should read it again now that I found it again.

Alright that's 10 !!! Finally !!

Oh it was so fun to fall back into all the things I read before ! But it was harder than I expected because, well, I only have AO3 for 3 years and I've been on Wattpad for 7 years, but I started reading fanfiction even before that, I just didn't have any account back then. So, I kinda forgot about some of the things I read more than 4 years ago, and I couldn't find the gems I discovered when I was 12. Most of the books that made out to this list are my recent lectures, it's a bit biased I guess.

1. How many works do you have on A03?

31! Wow! Not even counting my FF.net and Spirit (portuguese site) fics too. I think adding them would be around 50? I know for sure I have much more than that in my drive.

2. What's your total A03 word count?

739.765 Whaaaaat? That's so many! And it's mostly the ones I write in english!

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Inuyasha, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, My Hero Academia and Legend of Zelda, more specifically LU!

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

A Link in a chain . My first LU fic! My baby <3 Modern day, soulmate marking and platonic soulmates. The main focus is Wild getting to know them, then Legend accepting the others and finally Spirit joining them.

All Might said 'No'. This was a prompt for a MHA server and I had a lot of fun! All Might is the literal quirk, like a ghost protecting the Midoriyas.

Alpha and Omega. That was a challenge! In almost every way possible. Omegaverse, Toshinko

Merman. Also from a prompt. Merperson au, Toshinko.

Soul clock. Also from a prompt. Soulmate au where there's a clock counting down the time until you meet your soulmate. Toshinko and some platonic relationships mentioned too

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Always! I love to receive comments. Even key-smashing make my day a lot better when I check the email

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Probably The Sacred Trees. It's more like a happy ending with heavy consequences. I live for happy ending, not sorry about that. They will suffer but they will be happy eventually.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

All of them? I'd dare say the happiest was Took You Long Enough, a Midlink reunion during LU and then afterwards. From the concluded, that's the happiest one but there's an even better one coming from a different fic not posted yet :D

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not recently, but I did in the Inuyasha and Katekyo fandom! I usually say a simple "thank you for your critique" because this usually throw people off enough that they leave me alone.

9. Do you write smut?

No! There's some heavily implied things, but nothing graphic or very descriptive (by very heavily, I'm counting the omegaverse fic too; I liked the concept but wanted something with less sex)

10. Do you write crossovers?

Not oftenly, but yes! The last one I wrote was a MHA and LU crossover when the brain was divided between them.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Once! The person copied one of my biggest series in portuguese, changed the name of the characters and some physical descriptions but it was basically the same. I asked them to put down, but had to dm some of the site's admin to make sure it was deleted.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes! Once by a friend from the MHA fandom and they encouraged me a lot to write more in english and give it a try. I'm here now so thanks to her!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes! It will never see the light of day though, but my bestie and I created a whole novel about a couple and how the wife slowly got mad and then killed him in the end.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

Hmm, that's too hard! I have many favorites!

Probably Zelink. LoZ is my old new obsession, it always go back and forth between the games as they are released or as I play again and the animes I'm watching. BotW and TotK gave me so much shipping material I'll be happily reading it until the next game is released.

A close second would be Kyoya/Chrome from KHR. I just love their dynamic, specially when they help each other to grow (and Mukuro being a gremlin jealous older sibling, that's the cherry on top)

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

A fanfic for the Grand Chase game when I played it. Ryan almost dies when they cross a desert, Ronan is sent to another world and needs to complete some quests to do that (he's my fav alright? I just needed a reason to send him to another world and do quests by himself, maybe question his faith and all that). I wrote maybe 30k? The idea is lovely and taunts me from a distance but I've never come back to writing it

16. What are your writing strengths?

A very good question... I'd say creating AUs. I love world building and leaving small details that have significance for the story later, I think I do an okay job at balacing dialogue and descriptions. My beta says I'm good at leaving crumbles in the story to solve the problem in the end too

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Punctuation in any language! Ugh, I just love commas sooooo much!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

English punctuation doesn't make much sense for me until now! I'm relying heavily on the corrector and trying to read more to see if I can absorb the info.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Inuyasha!

20. Favorite fic you've ever written?

I'm very self indulgent when writing so I like most of them. I'd say the longest time favorite in portuguese is Librarian, a Toshinko fic where Inko is the hero and Toshinori is a librarian she meets because her son is a book geek. In english is A Link in a chain.

FLEUR DE LUNE by Zyloa You've probably already read this one, but it's one of my absolute favorites! Slight canon divergence premise where the sun rises earlier at the Mugen train set and the entire story changes. I adore this story, I have read it a while ago and I still think it to be one of the best in canonverse.

DON'T FORGET TO BREATHE by Zyloa BEST!!!! I love this so, SO MUCH! For a change, Kyojuro finds out about Akaza's backstory right at the beginning, when they first meet at the Mugen Train because he gets accidentally sucked into his dreams, thank you Enmu. It's a lovely fic, some moments really got… to my… heart?? I was holding my breath and squealing asdfghjk. Just. Too. Good. No spoilers on it but just when you think it couldn't get any better… it does.

SMOKE & MIRRORS by emilieee A favorite! Demon Slayer set in modern AU with demons and demon slayer corps still being a thing! It's slow-build but it's such good romance!!! Also, Em is evil and she enjoys Akaza suffering so if you're into Akaza suffering, there's that! The updates of this story literally never miss!

WHAT I WOULDN'T GIVE by DragonsAndCryptids T rated. This is a very lovely fic revolving around the concept of Senjurou becoming ill just like Ruka, and Akaza offers demon blood, so it deals with Kyojurou struggling to figure out if and how much he's willing to compromise to keep his little brother alive. Author's also writing a new RenKaza fic but I'm yet to start reading it!

THE NEVERENDING NIGHT by apodis This is absolutely wild. I LOVE this story, it just!! goes!! so hard!! It's like it's a book of its own and not a fan fiction. I'm sure you already know about this story but in case you don't, rush to it!

LITTLE FIGHTER BOY COMES MARCHING HOME by VTheTrashKing ADORABLE. But also very sad. Kyojuro's left to deal with a child version of Hakuji/Akaza. I think about this story a lot, sometimes I even sketch it. It's so nice.

IT'S ALWAYS SO by Chesh_Ire Sadly… :( This story hasn't updated anymore :( But I really loved the premise and these two chapters, so I'll drop them here anyway :( I thought about it so many times since reading it. Childhood sparring AkaRen (and then in the future stuff happens lmao), my heart!!

🪶💙 Dabi Hawks / TouKei

BIG REPUTATIONS by phanatics I thought at my age, after all this fandom experience 'I am NEVER reading fake relationship again'. But this is TOO good to pass on lol. Both make music and they need this fake relationship for different purposes. LMAO I'm obsessed with this fic!!! I think about scenes from it all the time haha embarrassing! I love all the social media posts and also how it manages to perfectly fit the canon story and characters into this AU setting. A lot of work into this one evidently!

INTO YOU by EloFromMars EXTREMELY CUTE because they're both unbearable. Hawks and Pro Hero Touya. They tease and annoy each other A LOT. I loved every second of it.

THRESHOLDS by phanatics Shiketsu high school AU. It's really cute and it will melt your heart. I really like stories where it's, you know, the little things, not necessarily 'too much', that make you go awwww. And this one does it. I actually wanna reread it as I type this.

I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS ITS LITERALLY ONE OF MY FAVES ❤ so I literally watched all 3 seasons of demon slayer in like two days lol and I kinda regret watching it while on my period bc I fr cried like every episode LOL I was just a mess of emotions for those two days. First Inosuke is 100% my favorite character I would die for him in a heartbeat, and tanjiro is like my son I genuinely just adore him 🥺 I was hesitant to start demon slayer bc I thought that tanjiro seemed kinda boring for a main character (and I was like why the fuck does that girl have that thing in her mouth 24/7) but I was wroooong hes such an angel and I would literally stop watching the show if anything bad happened to him. I also want to fuck literally all of the hashira and demons big shocker I know lol. I'm super conflicted about muzan tho and would love to hear your thoughts on him. Like I think hes super hot, does he resemble Michael Jackson? Yes, but hes still sexy in my eyes lol but at the same time I just have a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to him. I usually LOVE villains no matter what no questions asked but after watching rui's backstory and seeing how muzan basically manipulated this poor boy to become a demon bc he was in that much pain and wanted to be free from it made me really sad ngl 😥 idk I'd probably still fuck him lol and I think hes a really cool and cruel villain but hes definitely not my fav. Also if you like the demons in this season wait until you get to mugen train and entertainment arc 👀 my fav demon so far is in entertainment arc so I'm so excited for you to get to that season ❤ as far as the hashiras goes I feel like this is such a controversial take bc hes everyone's favorite but I'm not that into uzui lol. Like hes undeniably the hottest character for sure but hes just not for me especially since I'm a super jealous person lol (would still fuck him under certain circumstances tho lmaoo). My favorites in no particular order are giyu, obanai, and sanemi for sure. Pleasee keep us updated on your thoughts as you watch I would love to see how you feel about the next two seasons like there's so much to talk about lol. I'm gonna be not next to a computer for a whole ass week so I won't be able to write any drabbles. (I will be able to answer questions, though, about me or my opinions)

So do entertain yall I made a fic rec list of my favorite MHA stuff. Most of it is probably going to be Dadzawa stuff because I like to read that in a vain attempt to cure my own crippling daddy issues.

My Hero Academia

1. Complicated Creation by Elemental

An absolutely wonderful spirit land au where izuku can see the spirits that give people their power. Lots of dadzawa. Lots of angst. It's the one I've reread the most on this list

SilvermistAnimeLover stole not only my heart but my sleep schedule as well. Viridian is a vigilante!Deku au where he time travels from an apocalyptical future. Hilarity and angst ensue. Dadzawa is dadzawa

This one single handedly cured my daddy issues. Izuku and Aizawa get affected by a mind-bond quirk so they can hear each other's thoughts for like a week.

4. Prodigal by writerllofllworlds

A recent find of mine, and I fell in love. All Might tells Izuku to give his quirk to Mirio. He leaves UA, becomes a vigilante, and rescues Eraserhead, all before a big battle that's yet to come.

5. Not All Exists are Made Equal by LunaLucrea

Aizawa gets kidnapped but he's got 21 problem children that care a little too much

6. i'll be your biggest kept secret and your biggest mistake by sascake

This is for you ToduDeku fans. Vigilante!Deku and Pro!Shouto meet under strange circumstances and they keep running into each other until acquaintances become friends and friends become more

7. throw me a goddamn rope-just enough to hang myself with by mutalune

This is probably my favorite on the list. Another time travel au where Aizawa gets sent back in time to stop an apocalyptical future at the hands of Shigaraki from happening. Except he goes a little too far back

8. Stay Close to Me (Don't Go Nowhere) by Darkling Moon

I've got more but these ones are my top mha fics. Most of them are either Dadzawa or Vigilante!Deku because I don't know how to like things normally

Danny Phantom

For my SwaggerBishie lovers, from Dash's pov comes him befriending Danny and fighting off his anxiety

2. Easy Target by orphan_account

Another Dash pov fic. Phantom gets hurt and Dash helps him out, and finds out about Fenton/Phantom. It's absolutely amazing and sweet

3. Phantom of Truth by Haiju

I know this is already on everybody's rec lists, but for a good reason. Danny is captured by the Guys in White and is experimented on by his mother. I literally couldn't put this down.

4. Everything Was White by lexosaurus

Currently in the middle of reading this one. It's become one of my new favs. It's beautifully written by @lexosaurus and takes us on a journey with Danny as he recovers from his trauma indiced by the Guys in White

5. The Trouble With Ghosts by Lynse

Also currently reading this. Lancer finds out about Danny

6. Magnetized by imekitty

A dissection fic! Maddie pov and absolutely chilling. 11/10

7. A Ghost in His Bonnet by EyesofCrows

Wes pov for you conpiracy theorists out there. They're in college, and Danny is a cryptid

8. Things I Can(not) Do in Amity Park by RedHeadsRock1010

Exactly what it sounds like. Danny tries to see how much he can get away with before Amity figures out his secret

An MHA/DP crossover no longer in the making, but it's good enough for me to put on this list. Danny gets blasted through a portal and into the MHA universe where a very tired homeroom teacher takes him in.

Another DP/MHA where Present Mic brings a bleeding out half ghost home with him

3. How Class 1-A Summoned the Ghost King and Made Friends by Reclusya

Tokoyami convinces 1-A to host a ritual with him and they summon Danny. There's lots of chaos. It's hilarious

A DP/Young Justice (Justice League?) one shot. The League is consistently horrified by Danny and the absolute raw power he holds in his tiny body

2. Deeper, Darker by SilverMoonPhantom

A DP/Stranger Things crossover where Will hunkers down in the Upside Down with Danny

3. The Ghost of Heroes by Enigmaris and ScarletNightFury A beautifully written DP/Avengers crossover where he and Spidey are bffs and give the adults migraines. I spent an hour looking for this because my dumbass forgot to bookmark it. It was definitely worth looking for, and definitely worth reading

4. Sports Festival: Lost and Found by RogueVector

MHA fic where Izuku gets lost at the Sports Festival and gets sent to the announcer's booth with Aizawa and Mic. He gets to show off his analytical genius while Twitter goes crazy

5. Lost and Found by Andai

Another MHA fic where Izuku's deadbeat father tries to come back in his life. Overprotective Aizawa. Overprotective Class 1-A. A little bit of high School Musical thrown in for good measure. I reread this one to help my crippling daddy issues

I adore this fic. I usually have a hard time getting into the whole "Izuku gets turned into a cat" trope... but this isn't really typical of the trope considering the *twist.* This fic is just. so good. Aizawa is the focus character in this, and their characterization of him is just phenomenal, and the way they portray depression is really realistic and I just. felt. it. in my chest. I will never not gush about this fic.

Elemental handles this AU setting so well, and all the characters are incredibly fleshed out and believable in the world, while still staying true to their canon selves. I adore AU fics that don't get rid of quirks, and you can tell that they put so much time and effort into the worldbuilding.

I'm actually super lucky I had readers on ao3 when I was writing in cinders, or war paint would not even exist. A bunch of people left comments about wanting to smash Captain Bakugou instead, so I tried my best to deliver haha.

At the very least, I def will be writing another fantasy-ish piece very very soon!! But you'll have to tell me if there are any other fairy tales that you think would be fun to adapt into fics, so I can file those away for the future...

national fanfic author day

since today (august 21) is a day to honor and show appreciation towards the lovely people who give canon a run for its money, i thought i would make a list of amazing people who contribute to the world of fan fiction. I think fan fiction is important because it gives authors a chance to throw their fav characters into their own world and give them any story, its also fun af to write and read.

so for today (and everyday) make sure you give love to your authors who put time into creating long wips or short drabbles and everything in between. (this is gonna be long because i want everyone to know why I love them) this is also in no order.

also this is just from the top of my head but i read so many other amazing authors on A03 and other sites so i still love all of you and im sorry if i forgot anyone don’t be mad.
