Love Ballads

This was previously posted on my Wattpad. It has been in the works of being rewritten. Most of it is the original storyline (wasn't published) but also changes from the shadows. It will be a long fic in the making and will be posted every Friday.

"You will be dating an upcoming model, Lila Rossi." announced Gabriel, "Is that understood, Adrien?"

"Does it have to be Lila?" asked Adrien.

'Out of all people, why did it have to be her?'

"Dating experience is necessary for your future in finding a bride to uphold the Agreste name." his father continued, "Miss Rossi is new to the public eye and will boost your standing, as you do to hers."

"Understood." sighed Adrien.

"In light of this new 'relationship', you will have three nights to appear more relatable to the public. Let me know the days and what you will be attending on said days. Miss Rossi must accompany you on one of said days." he stated.

"Yes, Father." replied Adrien, as he was dismissed.

'What do couples do? I haven't dated since I was fifteen and I'm pretty sure there's a difference.'

Adrien paced his room as he tried to figure out how to spend his new freedom.

'I have three free days, but I'm stuck with Lila one of those days.'

He didn't really want to spend time with Lila, but that was the price of his freedom. Not to mention, he had to 'date' her. Lila had always been high-maintenance and he was sure somehting like going to the movies, wasn't going to cut it for her. Not to mention, he didn't want to be in a dark room with her. He was sure she'd try something. That was another thing he had to worry about, her lies and fake tears on dates.

'I have to treat her like she's Chloe. Chloe would want five star resturants and shopping so those are out of the question to do with Lila. If I took her somewhere in public, she could create a scene.'

"What do couples do?" he asked out loud, before inspiration struck him.

'Nino!'

Adrien pulled his phone out of his pocket and immediately dialed his best friend's number.

"Adrien, Bro!" Nino answered, "What's going on? Bored at another shoot?"

"No." replied Adrien, "Not this time. I actually need some advice."

"Really? About what?" questioned Nino.

"I have three nights off to appear more 'relatable to the public' and I have no idea what to do. Of course I still have to uphold the family name and all that, but-" said Adrien.

"That's great, Dude!" cried Nino, "I'm sure I can come up with a list in an hour!"

"One catch, I have to bring Lila with me." murmured the young Agreste, "At least on one of those nights."

"Lila? As in Lila Rossi?" asked Nino.

"Yep." Adrien eye-rolled his answer, not that his best friend could tell.

"Congrats, my man! Oh, I got it! Tomorrow, most of us from the old class meet up for karaoke. Majority of us are couples, but we still let in single people, so you can spin it off to your Old Man as a couples night." said Nino, excitedly.

"That sounds great! Okay, what else?" asked Adrien, happily.

"On Wednesdays we have a Guy's Night." the DJ continued, "The girls go off and do their own thing. Sometimes they go out for drink, other times it's movies, or just lounging at someone's place. I'm sure the girls would love if Lila could join them."

"Great! Where do we meet up so I can just give him all the details?" asked the young model.

"We usually rotate places, incase the girls do the same. We usually just chill out at each other's houses, play video games, chill out, and eat junk food." Nino said.

"Okay, I might have to spin that, but I can work on that." Adrien replied, "Got anything else?"

"Fridays, we have Game Night and I seem to remember you almost being a UMS3 champ. Basically it's the same as Guy's Night, but the girls can go too. It's been our way of letting out frustrations from school or work." laughed Nino, " Close to finals, it turns into study sessions, instead."

"Okay, I'll call you back in a bit to let you know how it goes and maybe to get more ideas." spoke Adrien.

"You got it, Bro." said Nino, before hanging up.

Adrien knocked on his Father's office, hoping things go his way for once.

"Enter." he heard his father call.

Adrien entered the room and waited for his father's approval to speak.

"I take it you have some ideas for these days." announced Gabriel from behind his desk.

"Yes, Father." said Adrien, "I called some of my friends for ideas for couples and many of them are old colleagues of both myself and Miss Rossi. On Saturdays, they have couples night karaoke. They also spend their Wednesdays split between gentlemen and the ladies. Friday's are game nights."

"A couple's night out will be relatable and will put your singing skills to use. This gentleman's night will also make you more relatable to your gender, just make sure you do not do anything foolish." spoke Gabriel.

"Of course, Father." calmly said Adrien.

"This 'game night', tell me more." the elder Agreste stated.

"It will be held on Fridays evenings. It is open to everyone. I was hoping to talk with you about relocating it to here, if you allow it?" answered the young model.

"Explain." said Gabriel.

"I was hoping to move this evening to my room. I am well aware I have photoshoots early morning on Saturdays. If I held it here, I could immediatley fall asleep after everyone has left. We can have everyone leave by midnight if you prefer." explained Adrien, "My room is also more equipped to handle a large amount of people and I have a vast amount of systems that can be used. I am told they use this night to destress and once finals approach, they use the night for studying together and help each other with their weakest subjects."

He could feel his father's heavy gaze on him, weighing this idea.

"I will approve this idea, for now, but your friends must be off the premise by midnight and stay only in your room, at a reasonable volume level." said Gabriel.

"Yes, Father. I shall let them know now and will inform Miss Rossi of our planned activities tomorrow." spoke Adrien.

"Very well." said the elder Agreste, with a wave of dismissal.

"So how did it go?" asked Nino.

"He approved of everything!" cried Adrien, excitedly.

"Really?" questioned his best friend.

"Yep. Oh, and I more news. He allowed us to have game night here in my room!" announced Adrien.

"Are you sure that's your Old Man." asked Nino.

"There are some rules." spoke Adrien.

"I spoke to soon." Nino sighed, causing Adrien to laugh.

"I usually have early shoots on Saturdays so everyone has to leave by midnight. We also have to stay in my room and keep the volume to a reasonable level." continued the young Agreste.

"That's cool, Dude. Still open to all genders?" asked Nino.

"Yep. I'm assuming Alya comes to these." chuckled Adrien.

"Nah, she uses it as time to prep for her classes." yawned Nino.

"It is getting late and I have a shoot at 10AM." yawned Adrien in return.

"Night, Bro. Oh, I'll text you the address to the karaoke place." spoke Nino.

"Great. See you tomorrow." said Adrien.

"Tomorrow." said Nino and hung up.

'I can't wait to see everyone again. I wonder what they've been up to. Lila won't be able to manipulate me with so many witnesses.'

What dark fics do u recommend?

Oh man. I have to be honest. I haven't read a bunch of ML dark fic- especially since I've been writing TMHTS. But I did read some before I started and have recently been reading more fic now that I'm toward the end. Here are a few I liked a lot or remember liking:

This is my favorite Agrestecest oneshot and, as one of my commenters pointed out, I may have inadvertently emulated some aspects of it while writing TMHTS. Oopsie. But it's a compliment to the writer. Really enjoyed this uncomfortable, but thoughtful piece. N/C. NSFW.

There are a few other Agrestecest fics I've enjoyed, but I've been avoiding the tag while writing because I don't want to further copy. I may go back and add them once I'm done. I remember this one the most though.

Everyone Needs a Friend - Talik_Sanis

Lila/Adrien oneshot. N/C. SFW but the implications are dark and it's not a good time for Adrien. Lots of saying a lot with very little. Well written with a gut punch of a last sentence.

Fanfic Writer Ask Meme- A, M, U

A: Of the fanfic you’ve written, which is your favorite and why? I'm going to say Dog Daze. There are several I really like mind you, but I really like my adribrina. Those kids are cute, and the way Marinette ended up getting a happy ending just not the one I originally intended, and even Gabe was forced into semi-reform. It has a lot of goodness in it, but angst on the way there. and I repeat- Adribrina are SO CUTE and sweet and OMG I love them your honor, they are my goobers. M: What’s the weirdest AU scenario you’ve ever come up with?  Did it turn into a story?

Hmm this is a tough one. Mostly because unless I write a story relatively quickly they often bounce out of my head. The Elden Ring AU is the one I remember most, and no story yet. Basically Outter Gods possess the holders through the Kwamis turning them into avatars who section off their own domains in the world while most of the human race gets zombied. A few people with residual magic (former holders mostly) survive and now have ot try and fix things... somehow. Very few happy endings will be had because.. Fromsoft game. U: Is there a pairing you would like to write, but haven’t tried yet.

Oh yeah, Plenty! Exploring new ships is a passion of mine. However I might try to focus on my existing work soon. So I might have to hold off. Chlogami, Zogami, Julbrina, Liladrien(yes really), just of the top of my head are ones I haven't tried but would like to.

Congratulations

A drabble inspired by @lenoreofraven ‘s Liladrien AU. In which Marinette must be protected, Adrien’s an idiot, Kagami is ready to make heads roll, and Viperion is a good bf.

Kagami had enough of this. It was time to give Adrien a piece of her mind. As she stalked towards the Agreste Mansion, she was vaguely aware that she probably looked very much like her superhero self at the moment; with her steely glare and looming walk. But she couldn’t quite bring herself to care; she had a sister to avenge. If it was up to her, she’d be doing this a lot sooner, back when it all began. 

The day had started fine enough, she walked to school joking and laughing with her sisters. It was a perfect moment in her eyes, a much-needed break from Lila. But it only went downhill from there. Chloe made a terrible pun as they walked into the classroom, causing Kagami to roll her eyes and Marinette to giggle. However, the laughter died in her throat when she saw Lila. Only this time, it wasn’t just Lila that caused Marinette’s frown. The little witch was clinging to Adrien, bragging to the class that they were dating now! Kagami didn’t need to look at Marinette to know the poor girl had a heartbroken look on her face. Marinette rushed out of the classroom, and both Kagami and Chloe raced after her. When they found her in the bathroom crying, both Kagami and Chloe were ready to murder the liar and the idiot blonde. But Marinette stopped them. 

“I’m fine, girls. Really. I don’t want you to do anything.” Marinette shakily reassured them through her tears. Both of them knew she was lying, but obeyed her wishes nonetheless. It only got harder from there. Lila took every chance she got that she was dating Adrien and Marinette wasn’t. Kagami and Chloe tried to keep Marinette away from the couple by distracting her with fashion magazines and hamster videos whenever they were near, and for a while, it seemed like it was helping. But this morning, things took a turn for the worse. When she saw the Akuma heading for Marinette in the locker room, she could’ve sworn she felt her heart stop. Within seconds, Chloe tackled Marinette in a bear hug and Kagami drew her sword and sliced the Akuma in half. She even stomped on it a few times for good measure. Suddenly, Marinette was sobbing again, blubbering something unintelligible.

“Mari, honey, use your words. Take a deep breath.” Kagami gently whispered as Chloe held her tighter. “I’m s-sorry. I k-know you want me to b-be happy, but I just can’t handle this. I can’t deal with her r-rubbing it in my face.” Marinette sobbed. And something in Kagami snapped then and there. She couldn’t take the sight of her sister so sad and helpless. She had to make the one responsible pay. Which was why she was here at Adrien’s house. She rang the doorbell and stood her ground as the camera popped out from the wall. “How may I help you?” She heard Nathalie say. “Good afternoon, I’m Adrien’s classmate. I’m here to drop off some homework for him.” She lied smoothly, holding up her own homework from science class. “Very well, please put it in the mailbox,” Nathalie replied. “Actually, he’s way behind on this subject. He said he wanted me to come in and give him some help with it.” Kagami lied again, barely keeping her cool. “Very well,” Nathalie said, sounding a bit annoyed. Kagami decided she couldn’t care less as she walked through the courtyard and into the house. She made sure to keep her sword out of view as she walked up the stairs. She didn’t bother knocking on Adrien’s bedroom door. 

“Oh, hey, Kagami. What’s up? We haven’t talked in a while.” Adrien greeted. “And whose fault is that exactly?” Kagami snapped. “What do you mean?” Adrien asked confused. “Think about it, Adrien! What happened around the same time my sisters and I stopped talking to you?!” Kagami yelled. “I dated Lila?” Adrien thought out loud. “Yes. You dated Lila. A complete and total witch who lies with every breath, doesn’t care about anyone but herself, and is just trying to climb up the social ladder.” She all but hissed. Her temper only flew as Adrien shook his head. “Kagami, Lila can change. It’s just gonna take some time.” Adrien began to lecture, but Kagami wasn’t having any of this. “It’s been 6 months, Adrien! If she was gonna ever change, she would’ve done it a long time ago!” She snapped. “Kagami, change is a gradual process. I’ve spent a lot of time with her, and I’ve seen she’s capable of being nice. Just yesterday, she gave a homeless man some money.” He tried to reason. “She  lied about seeing a cockroach in the bakery yesterday.” She retorted. “Hey, she IS becoming nicer.  She even told me how she felt bad about everything that happened between her and Marinette.” He responded. Once again, the flames of Kagami’s fury roared. “ You mean everything SHE did to Marinette? Was that before or after she told Alya that Marinette tried to flirt with you and steal you from her?” She growled. “Marinette never flirted with me,” Adrien explained. “Exactly! Because of that witch, Alya and everyone else will hardly talk to Marinette anymore! Because. She. Lied to them! If you cared even remotely about my sister you would’ve done something to help her instead of taking the frigging high road like a coward.” She growled at him. “I think you’re blowing this a little out of proportion-” Adrien began, but Kagami cut him off. “ADRIEN, YOU BLONDE, COWARDLY IDIOT! BECAUSE OF YOU, MARINETTE WAS ALMOST AKUMATIZED! SO YOU DON’T GET TO SAY CRUD, BECAUSE UNLIKE ME YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT IT’S LIKE TO BE USED IN THAT WAY!” She yelled, but stopped herself before she could continue. This was about Marinette, not her. Marinette was the one who got hurt here, not her. She barely registered the shocked look on Adrien’s face, and his silence was all she needed. 

“Whatever, I’m done.” She muttered bitterly as she stormed towards the door. “Kagami, wait-” Adrien started, gently grabbing her wrist. She responded by punching him in the eye. The second he hit the floor and let go of her, she had her sword at his throat. “Let me make this clear enough so even you can understand, Agreste. For the time being, Lila is an untouchable target. If I went after her, it wouldn’t end well. You, on the other hand, are a much easier target. The only thing keeping me from turning you into a kebab is Marinette. But even she can only keep you safe from me for so long. If I see you anywhere near my sister, you’re dead meat. Don’t ever speak to her again. Don’t ever look at her again. Got it.” Kagami growled lowly. Still, Adrien said nothing, but he looked very terrified; which filled Kagami with a little satisfaction. “Anyway, congratulations for making the dumbest choice of your life. Have fun spending the rest of it with an enabler and abuser.” She said mockingly. With that, she stormed out of the Agreste Mansion. After a few minutes of walking, she found a good alleyway that was hidden enough. “Are you okay, Dracling?” Longg asked quietly as he floated out of her jacket. “I’m fine, I just need to blow off some steam. Longg, flame on!” Kagami replied bitterly. With a burst of flame, Kagami’s normal clothes were replaced by her super suit. She let out a dragon-like growl as she felt her wings form, and took off like a rocket. Stunt flying usually worked to calm her down, but this was a special case. Long after dark, Dragon Empress was still flying and still angry. She landed on a building and drew her sword. She began sparring with the air (though in her mind’s eye, she was repeatedly stabbing Adrien), growling and grunting with each move she made. Suddenly, she heard someone clear her throat behind her. She growled and pointed her sword at the culprit. 

“Woah, easy, Dragon Lady, it’s just me!” Viperion cried as he raised his hands. “Oh, sorry, Viperion.” Empress mumbled, feeling a little embarrassed. “You usually don’t spar this hard. Are you okay?” He asked worriedly. “Do I LOOK okay to you?!” Empress snapped. Her heart broke a little when she saw Viperion looked a little hurt. “I’m sorry, I’m just...really mad right now.” She said exasperatedly as she sat on the edge of the building. “Do you wanna talk about it? It might make you feel better.” He prompted gently as he sat down next to her. Empress huffed in response, but Viperion simply put an arm around her shoulders. After a few minutes of silence, Empress finally spoke. “So, you know that guy my sister has a crush on?” She asked as she leaned into him. Viperion hummed and nodded. “He’s been dating the girl who’s making her life miserable for 6 months now.” She explained. “And...you finally killed him?” He asked, making her snort a little. “No, but I kinda wish I did. My sister doesn’t want me to get involved...but I can’t help it, Snakey. She showed me what a real family is like. She’s so nice and selfless, she doesn’t deserve this! And the worst part is, I can’t do anything to stop it. The stupid witch has the whole frigging class wrapped around her pinkie. Thanks to her, my sister’s heartbroken. She barely smiles anymore, and even if she does, it’s hardly real. I feel...useless.” She ranted. Viperion pulled her in close. “Empress, you are one of the strongest people I know. You are NOT useless. You never have been and you never will be.” He whispered. “She was almost akumatized, Viperion.” She says solemnly, and she could feel him tense up. “I can’t let Hawkmoth get her. I WON’T. If she was ever akumatized, I...I don’t know what I’d do.” She whispered shakily. She wanted to cry so bad, but she couldn’t. Not in front of Viperion. She had to be strong. For Marinette. “With you as a sister, my Empress, I don’t think  Hawkmoth will ever akumatize your sister.” He comforted. “If he does, I’ll kill him.” She mumbled, making him chuckle a little.

FBI (Fake Boyfriend Impersonator)

“I need you to pretend to date me,” a voice says.

Marinette was startled as she looked behind her.

What she saw made her eyes pop out of her head.

Behind her stood a 6 foot 2 tall god.

Ripped body, angular face, shining green eyes, and fluffy blonde hair that looked like he had run his hands through it a couple of times.

Then the question replays in Marinette’s mind.

“May I ask why? And why me?” Marinette questions.

“My ex just walked in because her restraining order just finished and she was a stalker and resorted to threatening and harming people I loved to keep me to herself. And you looked really nice and absolutely gorgeous and I was going to ask you out but then she walked in and please?” The man rambles.

Marinette giggles.

“Sure. I’m Marinette,” Marinette says, laughing as she holds out her hand.

The man looks visibly relieved as he shakes her hand. “I’m Adrien.”

“Adrien!” A shrill voice says.

Mariette looks behind ‘Adrien’ to see a gobsmackingly beautiful woman behind him.

She had red hair and beautiful hazelnut eyes.

But behind those eyes, laid a shining gleam that sent a shiver through Marinette’s body.

“Hi, Lila,” Adrien says, and Marinette can see the slight panic in his eyes.

“It’s nice to meet you, Lila,” Marinette says, smiling as she holds out her hand.

Lila looks at her in disgust. “The the fuck are you? Back off from my boyfriend, bitch.”

Adrien’s eyes narrow. “The restraining order just came off. Don’t make me place another. And treat my girlfriend with some respect, Lila. We aren’t dating anymore.”

Lila looks shocked before taking a hurt look on her face. “Adrien. We used to be so close, I’m hurt. Those girls were asking for it.”

“You hurt innocent girls. One of them was 7, for fucks sake, I was babysitting her, goddamn it,” Adrien snaps.

Marinette suddenly pulls out a badge from her inside coat pocket.

“FBI, ma’am. Please escort the premises and do not try to come near me or my boyfriend,” Marinette says, voice cool.

Lila grinds her teeth before turning and leaving.

Adrien looks at her in shock. “You’re part of the FBI?”

Marinette lets out a shaky laugh. “No. That was my Halloween costume and I bought a fake badge to complete the look. I was returning it to my friend whose little sister wants to be part of the FBI. It’s her birthday today.”

Adrien lets out a relieved breath. “Ok, for a second I panicked thinking, ‘shit, I’m gonna die.’ But I’m still here.”

Marinette grins. “I’m not that scary.”

Adrien snorts. “Tell that to Lila.”

Marinette chuckles.

Adrien turns to face her, green eyes shining. “So, about that date?”

Marinette smiles.

“I’d love to.”

Lila manages to isolate Adrien. Too many fics were she does that to Marinette now is Adrien turn

-Lila never had a hold on Adrien, he was too nice and his circle of friends always seemed to have his back. But that was only how it appeared to an outsider.

-Adrien’s father had his son busy, Chinese lessons, fencing, photo shoots, piano lessons, the boy barely had time for school. So while the class liked him, very few knew him.

-Lila let a few rumors slip about how Adrien wasn’t really a fan of Nathanael’s and Marc’s comic. how Max’s gaming skills could use work and other things to target and annoyed each classmate.

-Opinion of Adrien in class shifted more towards the negative slowly. Only Alya, Nino and Marinette were left.

-Alya was easy to convince, a few altered photos of Adrien being a playboy was enough to piss her off. She couldn’t let Marinette date such a jerk.

-Marinette and Nino were the only two left.

-Nino had been weakened thanks to Alya having a negative view on Adrien now, and Alya had plenty of sway over Nino. But Nino was a solid friend, he wouldn’t lose hope so easily.

-Gabriel making Adrien delete Nino’s number did help. (Lila had suggested it and Gabriel agreed it was for the best)

-With little contact with Adrien, Lila slid into Nino’s head with a few well placed lies about how Adrien thought his choice in music was ‘Sub par’ and how he would never be a good dj.

-Marinette was the only one in class, aside from Lila that would talk to him.

-Chloé was surprisingly easy to convince to let go of Adrien, she loved Ladybug more then him, so let it slip that Ladybug thought anyone that associated with Adrien to not be apart of her team. Queen bee avoided the blond like the plague.

-Marinette didn’t believe a word that Lila said, so convincing her directly would not be the smartest move. She needed to use the class to her advantage.

- Marinette having the class talk about Adrien in a poor manner only seemed to make her more frustrated.

-Lila asked Alya for details on Marinette, hoping that she could ‘Convince Marinette’ of how bad Adrien is. There must be someone that could convince her.

-Luka, Juleka’s older and admittedly cute brother. Lila smiled as she made her move.

-The musician was wary of her, something about her song being off key, but Lila realized his feelings for Marinette. She used his feelings to sway him to her side. After all, he just wants Marinette to be happy. Not badmouthing Adrien, but coaxing him to confess to Marinette.

-Lila smiled as she watched the musician tell Marinette how he felt. Not saying a word about Adrien. Marinette was touched by his sweet words.

-Lila smiled. She had this. Adrien was all hers and no one would be able to snatch him from her

Do you think there's any good Adrien ship?

I don't know about 'good', if there's ANYTHING that's objectively good, but I can tell you what I (personally) don't MIND:

- JuleAdrien (He's been looking at her with great interest since S1 which I find weird. I don't know if this would be healthy or not, but I just want to know what the deal is). - LilAdrien, BUT this one is definitely unhealthy + has a really ridiculous theme of rancidness to it on Adrien's part. Also see this post. - ChloAdrien: This one is an endgame/longterm one. Like they rekindle the friendship or smth. More of an AU? - Adrigami, kinda: I didn't like it so much when they were dating bc of all the other factors, but Kagami has made it very clear that she isn't taking shit from him. Also, some of the conversations they've had together are the realest he's ever actually been with anybody. I.

About the soulmate au I was rambling.

I have read a few soulmate AU where, if for whatever reason Marinette and Adrien decide to keep their status as soulmates in secret, Lila would be trying to fake a soulbound with Adrien. 

There’s the wild idea. Yes, Lila is a liar, but what if everything is a lie, but that. What if Lila is actually Adrien’s soulmate and not Marinette or anyone else. 

If recoilled in disgust at the idea, great, we are in the same page (Why I’m doing this to myself again?). And no, being soulmates doesn’t mean they will end together, don’t worry. But this can get angsty, so be careful. 

So, Marinette and Adrien aren’t soulmates. (But Adrienette will be endgame anyway, actually, the endgame is lukadrigaminette, because I’m a sucker for polyship and I need more content of my ot4)

As I said before, Lila is Adrien soulmate, unfortunately.

Marinette soulmates are Kagami and Luka.

In this AU not everyone has a soulmate, there’s a way to know if you have a soulmate or not, but I haven’t think on how exactly that works. Maybe you just, know that. And the way to identify your soulmate is a mark that appear in your skin once you met your soulmate. 

There’s like, a social issue, is that usually people asume that, if is your soulmate, then you must be romantically involved with them. Actually, Soulmates can be either romantic or platonic, in depends on how their relationship develops. 

In modern times, isn’t unusual for soulmates the end in bad terms because of this, like one wanting a romantic approach and the other not feeling the same way. But talk about this is seen like something taboo and had a lot of victim blaming on it. 

Season 1 is mostly the same, Marinette still having a crush on Adrien and Chat Noir on Ladybug, even if they know they aren’t their soulmate. More like a wishful dream.

Then Lila comes to scene and doesn’t disappear a whole season like in canon. I mean, she just found out that Adrien Agreste is her soulmate, which makes her plan even more easier. 

Adrien on his side don’t feel comfortable around Lila. He decides to give her another chance because she is his soulmate, but she isn’t taking it, don’t respect his personal space and she want to force him in a relationship with her. But still, he is too passive to stand for himself.

Marinette want to help, but is told off by her classmates. They tell her that she should just give up and let them fix their problems. Marinette is frustrated. (Not salt on the class actually, they just don’t know any better.)

Then enter Chloe, who gives no fuck about what their clasmates think about her and just go a split liladrien apart. (For Adrien relief.) Isn’t just jealusy (maybe a little), but she noticed how uncomfortable Adrien was with Lila  clinginess and decided to interfere. She even keep herself to hug Adrien for a while, trying to give him some space. 

This comes with a realization for Marinette, that Chloe actually cares about Adrien and her crush for him wasn’t something superficial. She may be a brat and a jerk, but she can care about people. This is the start of Chloe redemption arc. (Plus, during Style Queen, Marinette actually gives the Bee miraculous to Chloe, knowing that she want to go and save Adrien. She also get the miraculous back once the battle ends, so Queen Bee identity is safe.)

Enter Kagami and Luka, and the Lukagaminette. And this instead to rip Marinette and Adrien apart, it make them to get closer, because Kagami and Luka actually like Adrien (First as a friend, then as something else) and Adrien enjoy spend time with them because they are not trying to push him to be with Lila.

Adrien and Lila’s relationship is complicated. Everyone think they are dating but Adrien (plus Chloe and lukagaminette). They constantly fight, with Lila making herself the victim with a broken heart and basically telling Adrien that he is broken, just because he doesn’t love her back. 

Comes the Hero’s day, Lila still helping Hack Moth.

After the battle, something happend that make Alya and Nino finally see the redflags in liladrien relationship, starting with the fourth plot, djwifi realizing that Lila isn’t as innocent as they think she is.

That basically season 2. I’m not sure how season 3 would go because I haven’t watched it (I just watched the chapters that called my attention) my ideas so far for that season are: Continue with Chloe redemption, Lila confusing djwifi (they are reluctant to believe that she is a bad person, but her relationship with Adrien is clearly unhealthy and as deep they search it’s more clear why Marinette doesn’t trust her), make an actual Miracle team, and Adrien realizing that Lila isn’t entitled to him and him falling for the trio Lukagaminette (and  they falling for him, again in Marinette’s case).

And yes, I want to write a fanfic about this idea looking at the others projects and fanfics I want to do, and yes, I have no self control.

Requested by @lenoreofraven. Takes place in her Liladrien AU, and a sequel to Congratulations. In which everyone hates Adrien, Chloe is a bad singer but also great, Cat Noir is rightfully terrified, and Marinette deserves love.

Adrien wanted to kick himself. He couldn’t believe that Marinette had almost gotten akumatized. He almost didn’t want to believe it...but then again, Kagami never lied. But the mere thought of Marinette becoming a supervillain left him with a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach. She was too selfless, to sweet. She didn’t deserve to be akumatized. He had to talk to Marinette about this. Maybe he could help her cheer up. “Need I remind you Kagami made it very clear what she’d do to you if she saw you near Marinette?” Plagg warned once he was informed of his holder’s decision. “I need to at least talk to her about this. If something’s wrong, I could help her.” Adrien replied. Plagg muttered something about it being his funeral, but he ignored it when he saw Marinette enter the locker room. “Morning, Marinette!” He said as she closed her locker door. Normally, she would’ve jumped out of her skin but this time she barely acknowledged him. “Listen, I think we should talk.” He tried again. “No. YOU wanna talk to ME about how Lila’s so great and I need to get over my jealousy. Let me guess, Alya sent you?” Marinette snapped, making Adrien flinch a little. He’d never seen her so...curt before. He didn’t exactly know how to feel about it. “No. See, Kagami told me yeste-“ He tried again. “I know what Kagami said. And frankly, I agree with her. But it doesn’t matter. I’m sure you two will be very happy together. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a class to get to and you should start running.” She cut him off. Before he could ask why, someone grabbed him by his shirt and shoved him against the lockers. Once he focused his vision to see who it was, his heart stopped for a moment as he realized he was face to face with Kagami and Queen Bee. “I warned you,” Kagami growled as she drew her sword. “You hold Agreste down, I’ll sting him where it hurts.” Bee sneered, pulling out her trompo. “Girls, come on. He’s not worth it.” Marinette called from the doorway. The girls looked reluctant but obeyed their sister nonetheless. “You got lucky this time, Agreste.” Chloe snapped as the trio walked out. “Oh, that went well.” Plagg snarked. “Maybe I can talk to Luka about it.” Adrien wondered aloud. Later during lunch, Adrien finally managed to find Luka without Lila dragging him off somewhere. “Hi, Luka!” He greeted cheerfully. Luka turned his head to see who was talking to him, but frowned a little and turned back to his guitar when he realized who it was. “Hello, Adrien.” He replied curtly. “I was wondering if you could help me with something. See, Marine-” Adrien began, but Luka cut him off. “Marinette was almost akumatized, I know. Gami told me. You should be glad Hawkmoth didn’t get her. Both Gami and Chlo have had evil songs in their hearts all day because of it. Look, shouldn’t you talk to Mari about this instead of creating a middle man?” He snapped. “I tried, but she brushed me off when I did,” Adrien explained. “Wonder why,” Luka said, but his tone implied he knew exactly why. After school ended, Adrien decided to try to talk to Tom and Sabine. Surely they would let him talk to Marinette. They had always been very welcoming whenever he visited them. However, the look on Tom’s face when she opened the door and saw him was anything but welcoming. Before he could even get a word in, the door was slammed in his face. “Tom’s who was at the door?” He heard Sabine ask. “Nobody important.” Came Tom’s reply. “What do I do, Plagg? None of them will let me talk!” Adrien asked his Kwami later that night. “If they don’t want to talk to you, there’s nothing you can do Adrien,” Plagg replied sternly. “I can’t just do nothing about this,” Adrien replied. “Why not? You've been doing nothing for the past six months, after all. Face it, kid. Nobody in the Dupain-Cheng family wants to talk to Adrien Agreste.” Plagg reminded him. Adrien’s face fell, the suddenly an idea formed in his mind. “You’re right, but they just might want to talk to Cat Noir. Plagg, claws out!” He said. A flash of green light and Cat Noir was suddenly bounding across the rooftops of Paris. He knew he’d reached the Dupain-Cheng bakery when the familiar scent of bread filled his nose. However, something odd was happening on Marinette’s balcony. For some reason, the girls were gathered around a small fire. “She’s seeing the pictures she has of you. She’s searching and scanning for answers in every line for some kind of sign. She thought you were heeerrrs. The world seemed to buuuuuurrrn. BUUUUUUUUURRRRRRN!” Chloe wailed at the top of her lungs, making his ears hurt a little. “Chloe, knock that off. You sound like a dying hamster.” Kagami scolded halfheartedly. “But it’s making Marinette laugh! How long has it been since she smiled this much?” Chloe responded. “Thanks for trying to cheer me up, Chlo. And thanks for coming up with this idea too.” Marinette said quietly. “And what idea would that be, ladies?” Cat Noir asked as he landed on their chimney. “Oh, hey alley cat. We’re just doing a little spring cleaning.” Chloe greeted. Now that he was closer, Cat Noir could see a couple pictures disintegrating in the flames. “By...burning photos?” He asked slowly. “Of this jerk,” Chloe explained, holding one of the unburned pictures for him to see. His heart stopped for a second when he realized the photos they were burning were of him! “Wow, you guys...really have it out for Adrien Agreste, huh?” He asked hesitantly, noticing how big their burn pile was. “Trust me, the little baka deserves it,” Kagami growled as she glared at the photos and tossed more into the fire. “Besides, it was either this or killing him, and I made an oath to never use my Miraculous for evil. No matter how much they deserve it.” Chloe added. Cat Noir couldn’t help but let out a silent gulp. Three of his closest friends in the world now hated his guts, and he had no idea why. “W-what exactly did he do to make you hate him so much?” He asked nervously. Kagami and Chloe looked at each other apprehensively, uncertain if they should say anything. “Girls, why don’t you two go get some croissants for us all to eat? I’ll fill him in.” Marinette said. “But, Mari-” Choe started. “I’ll be fine. Really.” Marinette interrupted. Neither of them seemed to believe her, but they went back inside anyway. 

Cat Noir came down from his perch and sat next to Marinette. “It all started when this girl Lila joined my class. She said she’d been traveling around the world, but that’s completely bogus. She lies with every breath, you see. But for some reason, everyone believes her. I tried to get her to stop lying, but she wouldn’t. She threatened me, said she’d take away all of my friends. I didn’t believe her at first. I thought my friends would never just abandon me for some new girl with a bunch of stories. But...that’s what they did. Luka, Kagami, and Chloe are the only ones who talk to me at school now.” Marinette explained, choking up as she went on. Cat Noir’s stomach sank deeper with each word. Why didn’t Marinette ever tell him Lila threatened her? “You know the worst part? There was only one other person who knew she was lying. Adrien Agreste. And...he told me not to try to expose her. He said as long as we both knew she was a liar, that was enough. She wasn’t hurting anyone; she’d expose herself eventually. But then, he started dating her. He knows she’s a liar, and he still went out with her.” Marinette continued. “This boy...Adrien...is he important to you?” He asked quietly. “I loved him,” Marinette confessed. Cat Noir’s blood ran cold, and he was pretty sure his face was white. WHAT? Marinette LOVED him?! He couldn’t help but notice the past tense, and he felt sicker. His head was spinning. “I was so in love with him, so I did what he said. I fooled myself into thinking he was right. I just stopped trying. He said we were against her together...only to leave me on my own. Funny, huh?” Marinette said, starting to cry. Cat Noir felt his blood begin to boil. Kagami was right; he was complete and utter garbage. No, he was worse than that! “Nothing is funny about that, Marinette.” He said lowly. “What do you mean?” Marinette asked. “Adrien’s an idiot for not seeing that you love him! He doesn’t deserve your feelings, your time! He doesn’t deserve anything from you!” He yelled, startling Marinette. “It’s okay, kitty. I’m moving on from him, one day at a time. If he wants Lila, he can have her. Those liars deserve each other.” Marinette replied sourly. “It’s not just that, Princess. You deserve so much better than an idiot like him. You deserve someone who will do everything in his power to make you happy. Someone who will do something stupid just so he can hear you laugh or see you smile. You belong with someone who will make sure you know he loves you with every fiber of his being!” He declared passionately, holding her shoulders so they were facing each other. “Any ideas, kitty cat?” Marinette joked humorlessly. Cat Noir didn’t know what came over him. He didn’t know if it was because his face was mere inches away from Marinette’s or because he felt guilty for taking her heart and shattering it, but he didn't care. But he made the decision to kiss her. He heard Marinette gasp in shock, and almost pulled away. However, Marinette placed a gentle hand on his cheek, encouraging him. He ran one hand through her hair and placed her other gently on her waist. He could feel her smile into the kiss and sighed with content. As quick as the kiss began, he pulled away from her a little. His heart swelled as he looked into Marinette’s sweet bluebell eyes, staring at him in slight awe. He was about to lean in for another, but he felt someone watching them. He turned his head and nearly had a heart attack when he saw Chloe and Kagami had come back outside and were now staring at them like deer in headlights. “I need to go.” He said suddenly and leaped away into the night. Marinette couldn’t help letting out a small smile as she saw him depart. Maybe...he could be that someone, she thought as she touched her lips. “Oh. My. God! I can’t believe this! My sister and my teammate!” Chloe yelled excitedly. “What the hell?” Kagami whispered. “Ooh, this is so exciting! Wait till Lila hears about THIS! Good luck trying to out-do my sister when she has a SUPERHERO FOR A BOYFRIEND!” Chloe continued. “What the hell?!” Kagami said again, yelling this time. “And I almost forgot the best part! We can rub Adrien’s face in this until the cows come home!” Chloe squealed. “WHAT THE HELL?!” Kagami shouted. Marinette shook her head at her sisters’ antics. “I’m gonna go for a patrol. I’ll be back in a few.” She told them. She transformed and leaped away from her balcony. Suddenly, her bug phone rang. “Hello?” She asked as she answered it. “Ladybug, it’s me. I have a serious problem.” She heard Cat Noir say in a panic.

(I would just like to say I'm a LS shipper) It's funny how some LS shippers will be like "let people ship what they want" and then continue to make fun or act confused when a unique ship comes across. Like yeah it's not good to ship out of spite or to ship evil characters with good ones, but AUs exist and characters can change. I remember when liladrien was popular on twitter everyone was practically bashing it and the people who like it indirectly BUT when some asshole comments negatively on Ladrien everyone was all like "oMG fUcK oFf LeAvE pEoPLe aLoNE aNd LeT theM sHiP WhAt tHeY WaNt"

i don’t have an issue with people creating/exploring AUs and crossovers, and im sure there are maribat/daminette shippers out there who just like the ship in a non-salty way. but from what i’ve seen of it, the majority of the shippers are pretty extreme anti-adrien/anti-alya/anti-class salters who create an OOC version of Marinette—and yeah, as a fan of both marinette and adrien (and the show in general), that just doesn’t sit right with me.

of course people are always free to like or not like whatever ships and characters they want! my biggest issue with salters in this fandom is that they tend to just...not stay in their lane? if you’re gonna be negative about something, contain the negativity by tagging appropriately and keeping it in your own circle. don’t ruin others’ fun. I’ve seen too many people hijack positivity posts just to be salty or make rude comments on fic/art because they dislike a ship or character. that’s just disrespectful :/ imho people need to learn the subtle art of “just keep scrolling” lol.

i realize this might sound a bit hypocritical coming from me since I’ve complained about maribat today, but I tagged it #maribat salt, not #maribat, so people can block my posts if they want to. I do not like maribat, so i do not go through the maribat tag. i do not read maribat fics or seek out maribat content just to talk crap about it. and i don’t do that with any other ships I dislike. if i don’t like something, i just don’t interact with it.

so yeah, although i hate the very idea of maribat lol, it really wouldn’t bother me that much if it was more contained. cause then i could enjoy my thing and they could enjoy their thing and we wouldn’t bother each other. but what’s happened is that a crossover spite ship has overtaken the ML fandom to the point that it is significantly more popular than the main canon pairing—all four sides of it. which is...not encouraging, tbh. it’s frustrating that there is practically more negative content about this show than positive. honestly i just don’t get why people who don’t like the show continue to get involved with it ;;

there’s other stuff i can say here but i’ve rambled enough so i’ll just shut up now lol. sorry for the long post; i try not to get too salty (or anti-salt salty) on this blog but today was just too much haha
