he hops into the bed and sits there for 1 minute before he starts snoring aggressively.

"Can we invite mom to dinner?" Jack's question filled the quiet apartment with a heaviness that Aaron couldn’t quite understand. Haley had just dropped the boy off at his apartment after spending the better part of the week at her place.

"Buddy, I don't think mom wants to come all the way here—” 

“Did I do something wrong?” Jack practically whimpered and Aaron was rendered speechless once more, his brows scrunching further. That just made the poor boy look even more disheartened. His round eyes practically bursting as he tried to figure out what he could’ve possibly done to offend. 

Aaron crossed the room to him in an instant, crouching down to his level as he sat at the dinner table finishing up on some school work. 

“You did nothing wrong, buddy,” he said, gently, making sure that the words settled. “I just don’t think we should ask your mom to come over for dinner when she just spent the week with you.”

“I don’t wanna invite mommy to dinner,” Jack corrected him, as if he’d been correct this entire time and it was his dad who was not getting it. “I wanna invite mom.”

It took Aaron a few seconds to blink away the misunderstanding, confusion twisting into shock. Jack had called you mom, Jack had just…called you mom. A smile crept up on Aaron’s lips, one that Jack matched instantly as he realized his dad had just understood him. 

“Do you want to call mom and invite her to dinner?” he asked the boy and he lit up like never before. Aaron pulled out his phone and immediately called you, putting it on speaker phone and handing the device over to Jack as he returned to the kitchen. 

“Hi, honey,” your voice was warm and inviting and he wanted nothing more than to respond to you, but he wanted to experience your shock, the shock that Jack had just given him, more than anything. 

“Mom!” Jack practically screamed into microphone.

“Hi, angel,” Aaron could hear you stifle a sob and he couldn’t help but tear up with you. 

“Hi!” Jack was too hyper, getting any words in difficult. “Dad’s making dinner!”

“What’s he making?”

“Dad!” Aaron couldn’t help the laugh that erupted, so much screaming, so much energy. He walked out of the kitchen and took the phone from the boy, turning off speakerphone before he addressed you.

“He’s making boxed Mac n Cheese with hot dogs,” Aaron replied, a smile in his voice. 

“Aaron—” you sobbed into his ear.

“I know, he got me too.”

“Did you know?”

“No,” he chuckled. “But I definitely do now.”

“Dad, give me back the phone!” Jack whined, pulling on Aaron’s arm until he could press his mouth to the microphone once more. “Can you come to dinner, please?” 

He stretched out that last word until he was gasping for breath, making both you and Aaron laugh. 

“Yes, angel, I’ll be there in a second, alright?” 

“Mmkay!” 

“I’ll see you soon, mom,” Aaron teased.

“I’m fully sobbing at a red light, just so you know,” you tried to make him feel bad but it honestly didn’t matter. Jack saw you as his mom, and nothing could take that away from you.

“I love you,” Aaron said. 

“I love you too.”

Jack was engrossed in his worksheet once he finally hung up the phone. Aaron watched him for a second, how his tongue stuck out of his mouth while he concentrated, how he gripped the pencil in his hand like it would somehow slip away, how all of his things had spread out across the table as if he quite literally owned the place. 

Jack had that effect on people, that easy way of taking over someone's heart in a way that only you could do as well. Aaron had been sure from the first time he introduced the two of you that you were soulmates, that he was meant to bring the two of you together.

Jack loved you so much it was overwhelming at times, his own kid clearly trying to one up him at every turn. But it didn't matter, Aaron knew Jack was your favorite, even if you constantly reassured him that you loved both your boys equally.

“Would you like her to be your mom forever?” He asked. 

Jack nodded enthusiastically, pencil dropping and attention back to his dad. “And ever and ever.”

Aaron smiled brightly, fully, like the sun had taken control of him and he couldn’t stop. It was a silent promise, a definitive choice, a reminder of the small velvet box he’d hidden in the back of his closet a few days ago.

“Do you want to help me ask her?”

i think it’s clear that him and his friends commit tomfoolery and are overall jerks but to think that he’s the more sensible, level-headed guy makes a lot of sense to me—kinda similar to charlie in a way

like he knows limits and when to not push them even if he doesn’t come off that way. all bro does is chill in class and stare off into the windows daydreaming (as shown in the whole ripping out the poetry intro scene). bro doesn’t wanna be there. he’s just chilling and honestly same💀

• spencer’s actual treatment in the movie

ik we love this man, and our headcanons (or at least what i’ve seen and my own for the most part) say that people treat him well but low key everyone be on his shit

like it brings up the question of whether or not this is considered bullying cause any scene i see he’s either blatantly shoved around or even the guys around him purposely steal his medicine and pass it around so he can’t have it (including stick participating in this)-

like i think there’s some limits to being a jerk and idk how spencer really feels throughout the movie cuz he’s a background character :////

• HANDSOME ASS BACKGROUND CHARACTERS AND THEIR SCREEN TIMES = UNFAIR! CRIMINAL !!!!!

• the fact that ginny’s character just gets completely cutout. like she has a few lines to begin with and then the movie comes out and she ends up being a non-speaking extra in the play like i’m- what happened???

• tina and gloria / girl characters portrayed in dps in general

let me explain cuz i love them but also feel bad for their characters

like low key they’re just used as experiments for the cave (implied by charlie in a deleted scene that wasn’t recovered although i think this part is in the original script as well if i remember correctly)

although he brings them back a second time in a deleted scene where they’re all dancing around outside of the cave on the night of the play only for him to make out with one of them in another deleted scene that wasn’t recovered… (( this was revealed in an old interview on someone working behind the scenes btw ))

so like i kinda feel bad for them. like y’all just there for show but i wish you had more lines and other purposes besides possibly not passing a bechdel test ://////

^ lowkey this same concept is kinda seen with chris’s character too. like all she’s there for is a romantic interest for knox. like cmon now she’s one of the main female characters and THIS is what she gets. i wanna know more about my girl chris!!!!

and i kind of understand why it’s set up this way since y’know it’s an all male boarding school in the 1950s—how do you fit female characters in and how are they viewed? it’s not the greatest setup of all time

Aww that’s such a cute question! 😊😍

El has totally already proposed to Gareth at her senior prom, and while he was incredibly eager to say yes, he had to be the voice of reason and suggest they wait at least until he’s finished college and has a steady job. (You just know my boy had a long lecture from Hopper about the importance of being able to Properly Support his daughter!)

But Gareth proposes literally as soon as he graduates college, practically the moment he finds El after the ceremony, still dressed in his cap and gown and everything. Their families and friends are all crowded around excited taking pictures and everything, and Gareth is just bursting with glee and wiggling around like an overexcited puppy and he keeps looking at Hop like “now? Can I do it now?” Finally Hop pulls him aside like, I thought you wanted to do it later on at your house with flowers and everything, but Gareth says I CAN’T WAIT so Hop just laughs and says okay go ahead.

When he goes down on one knee in the middle of that crowded… uhh… field or auditorium or wherever the hell college graduations are held (idk I never went to college lmao) anyway. Gareth drops to one knee, his sister Morgan, Kali, Chrissy, and Max all start screaming immediately, his mother Maggie and of course Joyce both burst into tears, and Eddie is probably completely oblivious and blurts out “what the fuck are you doing buddy?” before he realizes what’s going on.

Gareth gets as far as “Janie, I love you, and—” before she’s kneeling on the ground right along with him, and then they’re both crying, and he forgets everything he planned to say and just holds up the ring and chokes out “will you?” and she joyfully shouts “yes!” through her sobs, and even Hopper is brushing away a few tears at this point. Their friends and family surround them, cheering and applauding, and El makes everybody laugh when she eagerly asks “can we go to the courthouse right now?”

*sigh* my babies are gonna have such a happy life together. 🥰🥰

As far as older Greatmage and Stali fics, of course I’d love to keep exploring their world and all their adventures! atsumu absolutely loved his career. he’s made a name for himself, broken records, set goals and continuously achieved them… he was living his dream. but if he had to name one thing he hated about being a professional athlete, it would be the distance it put between you and him.

when he was away for games and you weren’t able to come with him, phone calls, facetiming and texting were all you could do to keep each other somewhat satisfied.

some nights were okay, you kept each other laughing and smiling, and for however long the call lasted you were able to distract each other from the hurt of being apart. in those moments you were the only ones who could do that for the other. no one else could make the ache go away.

other nights were particularly bad. when the longing was stronger and the need to hold each other got to be too much, your calls often turned teary and vulnerable.

“i miss ya so much, y/n,” he sniffed into his hoodie sleeve. “i wish i could come home already.”

you tried to reassure him that his trip was almost over, but you’d be lying if you said you didn’t feel like crying too. it just didn’t feel like home without him. “i miss you too, tsumu. but it’s only three more days until you’re you’re back. i can’t wait to see you.”

he gave you an appreciative smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. 

“here, why don’t we talk about what we’ll do when we’re together again instead of focusing on the fact we’re apart?”

this time his smile did reach his eyes as he wiped away a stray tear and pushed his hood back. his hair was a little messed up, his nose was still runny and he looked visibly drained, like anyone would after crying, but you only felt more in love with him.

and three days later, when he was finally in your arms again, holding onto you so tight, he was struck with a realization. 

“ya know before i met ya, i never really got homesick?”

that in itself was sweet, and it tugged on your heart a bit, but you could tell he wasn’t finished so you stayed silent. 

“like, whenever i used to say i missed home i really just missed the comfort of my apartment compared to the hotel rooms. but never to the point of it bein’ more than i could handle. i got used to it, i guess. and my mom and samu. but less so cause i was living my dream and i knew i’d never lose their support. and obviously i still miss ‘em a lot when i’m away, but... it’s different.”

“how so, tsum?”

“now when i say i miss home i’m not talkin’ about my apartment. i’m talkin’ about you. yer my home. that’s why i don’t get homesick when ya come with me. we could literally move to the other side of the world and i think i’d still be fine because home is wherever i’m with you. you are my home, y/n. i’ve never felt more comfortable with anyone in my life. it’s the same level of comfort i feel on the court but in a different way. and like, we can function just fine separately but bein’ apart just doesn’t feel right.”

you looked at him with tears in your eyes. he had put everything you were feeling into words. “you’re my home too, atsumu. this apartment doesn’t feel like home until you walk in. i love you more than anything.” it wasn’t exactly as deep or poetic as what he had come out with, but he held you closer to him and kissed you like it was. because he clearly understood you. 

the rest of the night continued on with an unspoken agreement that you had both definitely found your person.

Not like this.” She whimpered, trying to control herself, not wanting anyone to hear her from the rooftop of the compound. “I guess, I’m not meant to be happy…” Tears rolled down her face, heartbroken feeling, she cried to herself in the midst of the stary night.

Footsteps approached her, from the rooftop access, of course, but to you it seemed the person teleported five feet away. The second they sat down, you knew who it was. Natasha. She doesn’t have superhearing, or any special hearing device like it.

“The security cameras don’t lie.”

“They usually do.”

“Tonight they didn’t.”

“They were just going against orders.”

“Or maybe, they just love you.”

“Unlikely, Natasha. You should understand that better than anyone else.” Your words cut the conversation to a crashing halt. Continuing to not make eye contact, knowing on the impact she would see your red face and teary eyes, you looked to the stars, begging for help. “The security cameras are supposed to be there, no matter what. To keep me safe, and make sure I know things, that I wouldn’t know otherwise. And then, after years of togetherness and helping one another and laughing and being silly, -that’s- when no amount of batteries with make them work again, make them smile again, but by that point I would have learned how to look over my shoulder and keep an eye out for myself. The camera isn’t supposed to be faulty and break in a matter of weeks. With no warrant on it and no perfect amount of batteries to keep it going. Not after just weeks. It was supposed to be years.” Natasha trod lightly,

You turned around screaming, red face and all.

This was me - I guess I just don’t know how I’d feel if I’ve never experienced something before, you know?

My main focus right now is tapping into the void, and a few people just made a post about how to use states to become a void master, but I guess I’m failing to grasp the concept of feeling something when you’ve never felt it before. To me it’s like someone saying: Feel what it would feel like to cut your leg off even though you have never felt that before. How?

When you have stuff thrown in your face in your 3D that is very unwanted and serious, how do you practice relaxation and feeling free of all your burdens?

How do you get into the state of the wish fulfilled if you constantly have things in your physical world that are screaming for your attention?

I 100% know manifestation is real, and I 100% know the void is real, I just want something to click for me because so far, it hasn’t. And I consider myself a pretty smart person lol, I guess I just want encouragement idk

forget about states, forget about ‘feeling’ , forget about the wish fulfilled and just walk wimme. think back to your first time consciously manifesting something using the law, what were the thoughts going on in your head ? what method did you use ? did you believe in the law before you ‘tested it’ ? did you ‘know’ that you were gonna get your desires ? that they were 1000000% yours ?

so for me when i first learned about the law naturally i wanted to test it out and i said “hey what do i have to lose, if it doesn’t work everything stays the same and if it does then things change”. i didn’t ‘know’ that my manifestation was guaranteed to happen, i didn’t ‘believe’ in the law, i just said what i wanted and persisted and yes there were doubts however i pushed them aside and persisted.

no one should be telling you to ignore the 3d , deal with the 3d you have to interact with the 3d in order to function in your day to day life and that will never change. how you deal with the 3d is up to you, you’re a spiritual being experiencing life with human emotions it’s ok and perfectly natural for you to want to cry, be sad, angry, scream , yell do whatever you’re allowed to feel those feelings. but you can’t stay there have your little 5 minute (or however long) venting moment and then snap back to the new story.

discipline + consistency = the 🔑 to your desires materializing into the 3d (@kaayxshay made a bomb ass twitter post about how you manifest in the 4d and it materializes in the 3d and yea y’all should check it out)

all you have to do is be present and persist in the new story the how is up to you.

I’m so bad at picking favorites so please excuse the fact that I have like two answers per question.. since this is a Thai bl list I’m not listing gls or non Thai series or else I’d probably list like 3+ per question fnskfjfj

Favorite bl: bad buddy or not me (PLEASE DONT MAKE ME CHOOSE). They’re both very different but very important in their own ways. The bad buddy experience is incomparable and the beauty of not me and its basis in reality is historical

Favorite pairing: following suit, patpran & seanwhite. Both series weren’t just plot driven, they were character driven as well (possibly more so). Each are fantastic, though wildly different, romances.

Most underrated actor: my boy chimon! I think generally people know he can act but I wouldn’t be surprised if he gained more recognition after dangerous romance aired. (Also bonus, stealing Mel’s answer cuz sing always needs more attention he can do any and everything!! I’ll eat up any role he plays. I always do)

Favorite character: really hard to choose. maybe Sean (from not me again). I’m ngl I blocked someone once bc they talked a bit of shit abt him. He’s never done anything wrong in his life <3

Favorite side character: yok from not me. I’m gonna keep putting not me here srry but NO ONE will ever be as slutty as yok was. Not even First in only friends. He encapsulated Slut energy in such an immaculate way. (OR heartliming. They stole the show in moonlight chicken for me!)

Favorite scene: the pride flag scene from not me. It’s one of the most impactful scenes I’ve seen in any ql and I love the reason why it exists in the first place!

Favorite line: the build up to patpran’s rooftop kiss. Got me holding my breath screaming crying heart racing you know it. We’ve all been through it. I have it copied into my notes in case I ever need it (or just to. Cry idk)

Most anticipated bl and why: hmmm probably cooking crush literally just cuz of offgun in a romcom bl lmao I luv them. The pics they’ve uploaded lately have had a different vibe from the mock trailer and I’m liking it! Maybe cherry magic too as I’m curious to see how it’ll be adapted to Thailand as a remake

Healthiest relationship in a bl: patpran. Do I even need to say more? They might’ve had a little drama before they got together but you HAVE to have a healthy mf relationship to maintain it while “lying” saying you’ve broken up to your parents & some of ur friends

Most toxic relationship in a bl: vegaspete. See they’re lowkey more toxic in my head than they are on screen. Like yes vegas electrocuted Pete’s balls but he could’ve done worse and I think he should’ve! The toxic aspect was what made it fun (also who would I be if they didn’t make it on a fav Thai bl list at least Once)

Guilty pleasure series: idk what I’d consider a guilty pleasure BUT I thought the first episode of tharntype (which I actually only watched recently lmao) was kinda camp. Like it literally OPENS with Type saying he loves college except for one problem… GAY PEOPLE EXIST 😡🤬 that’s comedy. I burst out laughing. Can’t say I love the show as a whole tho

Most underrated series (mel I love that u added this bc I kno exactly what to say): SECRET CRUSH ON YOU. I NEED TO PROMOTE IT. I think people who dropped it did so bc it was so over the top but that’s exactly why you should keep going??? It’s SO saturated and the emotions are ALWAYS at 100 it’s hilarious but in the moments it gets emotional (episode 13…) it GOES ALL IN!!! The constant secondhand embarrassment made me literally start sweating but in a good way?? Ppl who reduce it to just cringe have missed all the beauty it offers. I regret not watching it live and I feel like I don’t see enough people talking about it… also I am literally toh <3

Sooooo, a lot has been happening with me recently and since I might be sick (and desperately need my medication adjusted-) I’m going to do a part two to that one thing where I rated danganronpa characters based on how they would comfort me after that one instance where I got bullied for being 💅

Hajime: 6/10: His free time events low key make me want to strangle him sometimes for his attitude, and I’m STILL traumatized by that one nut scene, but he’d still do more then the bare minimum despite being awkward about it.

Chiaki: 6/10: I know she would never say this, but for some reason she’s giving me Zuko’s “Thats rough buddy” response from ATLA 😭. I don’t think I would be able to tell if she’s actually listening or caring, so I’d be discouraged, but Chiaki would definitely try to find some way to distract me.

Nagito: -10/10: Mf would deadass look me in the eye and tell me it was a necessary stepping stone to achieve the brightest hope or some shit he can gtfo.

Twogami: 8/10: For the sake of staying in character he would pat me on the back with a broom, but would definitely have some words of wisdom to share with me, maybe share his food, idk.

Teruteru: 7/10: Here me out, since Teru is canonically bisexual, coming from one queer to another, he’d know when to drop the pervert shit and actually help. His advice would be shit but hey at least he’d make me something to eat.

Mahiru: 3/10: I can’t stand this bitch I gotta be real with y’all 💀. While she would agree that it was bad and such, she’d still get onto me for how I reacted and tell me to stop crying. We know she doesn’t really do anything to stop bullying so she’ll just do slightly below the bare minimum and dip.

Peko: 12/10: MY. WIFE. Okay I might be biased but I do think she’d just slowly draw her sword out to kill the mfs but would retract it the moment someone said “Peko, no.” Would she know how to comfort me? Probably not. But will she make sure that karma is delivered and that it hurts like a bitch? 100% yes.

Ibuki: 5/10: I think she’d also canonically queer, but she’s obnoxious and is weird in a way that kinda feels forced to me tbh? Idk how else to describe it, but I do know that while she would do her best to help, she’s not the person I want to be around in that kind of mess.

Hiyoko: 4/10: It depends on if we’re friends or not. If we were she’d probably tear the bullies a new one before promptly getting curb stomped, or she’d just make fun of me and tell me to get over it 💀.

Mikan: 2/10: She’ll want to help but would probably make it worse by tripping, crying, and apologizing.

Nekomaru: 9/10: He’d be such a dad about it, give the bullies a firm talking to and maybe yell at them if they catch an attitude. Overall he’d be bodyguarding me around that bitch 24/7

Gundham: 7/10: He’d give me a hamster to hold and would go off on one of his tangents about being a demon lord and how he’s make them burn in hellfire and shower the underworld in brimstone, but I won’t be paying attention because I’m holding a hamster and that makes life better 💞

Akane: 5/10: Similar to “Peko, no” but instead it’s like swiper the fox where you gotta scream “AKANE NO!” Three times in a row to prevent her from going on a rampage.

Sonia: 6/10: The sweetest and gentlest thing omllll 💞💞💞. She’d make sure I’m in a safe mental space so I won’t hurt myself and brings me pillows and blankets and such. But if she gets really pissed, home girl will deadass threaten the group to leave me alone. If they catch an attitude they’re gonna have to throw hands with her whole fucking country (and it is mentioned that everyone in her country learn how to work army machinery in elementary school so 💀)

Kazuichi: 5/10: I don’t know if he knows what a bisexual is 😭. He’d try to support me but his confusion would be so evident that it somehow makes me laugh enough to where I’m less sad.

Fuyuhiko: 20/10: This man has access to an entire fucking yakuza and you think that bitch will get out unscathed? He isn’t good with words, but actions speak louder than words so he gets straight to work. By the next day that bitch would be in the hospital and get PTSD by looking at babies, knowing it was a baby gangster who knocked her teeth out

Yo yo yo are you still doing writing requests bc if so! I would lose my mind over a quick as-angsty-as-you-like conversation between tango and Jimmy when they meet in the afterlife (it’s a week later but the brainrot is as strong as ever lol). Maybe it’s it’s a void and they can’t see each other! Maybe they’re getting pulled back to their world! Idk it’s up to you :)

it is 1am right now so excuse me if it’s slightly delirious lmao but I couldn’t wait until morning

tango’s ears are ringing, the ghost of the pain that had erupted all over his body still lingering. he’s weightless, floating in a void of blindness. but he’s not alone.

“i’m so sorry.”

jimmy’s voice is distant and echoey, but it cuts through the ringing as if he was right next to him. he sounds like he’s crying and tango wants to reach out and hold him, but he can’t see anything.

“it was always going to end like this.” jimmy says.

tango stretches his arms out, trying to find him in the blackness, but his hands only pass through air.

“you were doomed from the moment we became soulbound.” the self loathing in jimmy’s voice twists tango’s chest. “i’m cursed, tango. and now i’ve cursed you.”

“you’re not cursed.” tango’s own voice sounds too weak, too faint. like he’s hearing his own voice from another room. “you’re not.” he tries to say it more firmly, but it comes out just the same.

“tango, i am.” jimmy says. “I didn’t have these wings before, you know. not on 3rd life, not on last life. i know why i got them now. I was always going to bring you down with me.”

tango stands up, and moves in whatever direction he’s facing, desperate to find jimmy.

“and I tried to believe that it wasn’t fate, god knows I tried.” the quiet laugh that follows is enough to tear at tango’s heart. “i always am, in the end, the canary in the coal mine. the first to die, the warning that it’s become inhospitable to life.”

tango thinks he’s running now. he can’t tell with all this darkness, with the lack of air or solids around him. he has to find jimmy, to make him know that he isn’t what he says he is.

“no one ever listens.” jimmy’s voice is quieter, starting to break. he’s crying again.

“I don’t care if you’re cursed!” tango yells, if only to make him hear. it carries like a whisper on the wind. “I don’t care what they say about you! i’ll always listen to you! i’ll always be there for you!”

“you can’t.” jimmy says. “i’ve heard this all before, and believe me, I wish it could be true. but that’s the nature of these games. they rip you apart, tango. they’ll rip us apart. as long as you’re with me, you’ll die.”

“what if I don’t care?!” tango is screaming now, furious at whoever, whatever made jimmy believe this. “i’d die a thousand times to be with you again!”

“it’s only been twice.” jimmy’s voice sounds nearer. tango breaks into a sprint. “you’d lose faith after the fifth. there’s a reason they stopped giving lives past 3.”

“I swear I wouldn’t.” tango says, almost pleading for jimmy to believe him. “i’d go through hell for you. i’d survive if I knew you’d be waiting for me on the other side.”

“there’s no other side.” jimmy says. tango looks around and finally spots him. he’s kneeling, head bent, with his wings limp around him and sobbing quietly, crumpled and defeated. “this is it.”

tango rushes over to him and tries to wrap his arms around him. they pass through him like cold smoke, and that’s officially too much. he falls to his knees besides jimmy, hand over his mouth as silent tears pour down his face. he can’t even touch him anymore, he thinks as his heart rips in two.

he doesn’t know how long he’s there. maybe minutes, maybe millennia. jimmy fades away. he’s on his own again.

I just went to a formal dinner thing, and…saying it was shitty is an understatement.

I chose to go because I thought it’d be fun. I’d get to eat and chat a bit. Gods was I wrong.

I ended up having to wear super uncomfortable, brand new shoes that I hadn’t broken in at all. Very bad for my skin disorder (very rare; causes blistering and soreness especially on bottom of feet and fingertips/palms). I’ve been far more exhausted than usual, and I’ve been overstimulated basically all day (and that’s why so much of today was spent wearing headphones); this event was quite loud and pretty crowded, and I couldn’t take out my phone or even bring my headphones. Or leave. Some baby started crying and these little kids were talking at the table next to mine. Idk why but that was bad. Then the speakers glitched in the middle of a performance and created feedback. Had to restrain myself from screaming.

I knew a couple people there, and sat with them, at a table at the very edge, but didn’t really talk. The combination of the overstimulation and resulting worsening of social and general anxiety caused this.

I ate barely anything, just a dinner roll, a few small potatoes, and a teeny piece of steak. The selections were super limited, and, while none of them really had anything that I literally couldn’t eat…I just. Can’t eat them? Like they’re just foods. I won’t eat. Because I’m picky and also ravioli is very bad texture for me.

It was part of a community event, so most everyone knew each other, except for me. I felt so isolated. So other. I saw all those people socializing normally, in pretty dresses and shoes, and I was so upset. Upset because I couldn’t have that. That I couldn’t laugh and sing along to songs because I’m too nervous. Too tired. Too hyper or not energetic enough. I was the outsider looking in. I knew it. No one else really noticed. It’s always like this. Always.

I think I’m going to cry.

AAAAAA YESSSS YESS YESSSSS!! @botherkupo got me to watch it and i got sucked in SO fast and i was lowkey hoping I could also get at least one person to watch it 😂 bc bro. BRO. it’s life changing. idk I feel like a different person from having seen it. I actually just finished it tonight and I was an emotional wreck and cried multiple times at various points…and I am not someone who usually cries at tv shows lol. I’ve never watched a C-drama before so I wasn’t sure what to expect or whether I’d like it but man. MAN. it’s probably the most emotionally gripping story I’ve ever experienced. and it has EVERYTHING??? Every fanfic trope in the book to keep you Highly entertained but also incredible drama and romance and emotional depth and character arcs and and 😭 it just feels so…meaningful. like just expressing truths about life in such a beautiful way. it made me think and feel so much. Also it has GORGEOUS sets and costumes and some of the BEST acting I’ve ever seen in my life. Wow.

Anyway not to sound like a weird advertisement for a show you already started but just buckle up bc it’s a ride lol. You will laugh, cry, scream, gasp, kick your feet giddily, etc etc. i hope you enjoy!!!!

I don’t know about you - but this is 2022

We moved. I studied Spanish. I got sober curious. I put color back in my hair (purple). I screamed IM NOT OKAY when I saw MCR @ The Forum and also when they did it for karaoke at my office end of year party. I did a lot of "hurry up" hikes in the morning - at Wildwood and Wisdom Tree. I kind of love that I can see Wisdom tree from my place. Sometimes on a cloudy day I show Desmond and say, "If mama was hiking right now, I'd hike right into a cloud!" Never underestimate your book club. Not only did my witches of echo park assemble like the gd avengers after I got asked for a divorce, I also have the promise of some new friendships in my 2nd book club. I really look forward to digging into a good book attached  the end of a day, and my favorite book of 2022 was Pet by Akwaeke Emezi. 

I spent a good chunk of time (while driving?) digging to identity but some of it made me angry and some of it made me sad so I refocused on meditation and philosophy a bit. I've felt ambivalent about my body - recognizing I've been a jerk to it for many years despite its strength, despite all it did for me. I am not in the best shape of my life but I've been working on getting my mind in fighting form as a priority. It actually has a heavier workload than my body. I saw Paramore at the Belasco and just wanted to BE Hayley Williams. I screamed "Brick by Boring Brick" at the top of my lungs. I put in my ticket request for their 2023 tour. Remember when I saw them at the (now dead) Knitting Factory? And also at some random phone store? I also crowdsurfed out of one of their pits with like thousands of dollars of camera equipment in my backpack. Good times.

I realized Lorde may have quietly outranked so many other artists, personally. I interviewed her in 2013 and saw her live and loved her then, but I felt a few of her songs very deeply this year, and wish I would've seen her on tour. Fortunately, she's not a legacy artist (yet) and her touring future is bright.  

I think. It felt really good to be a part of a few group chats. Thank you to my bestie for inviting me. It's a small thing but it made me laugh a bunch and made me think and it felt so much better than throwing thoughts and questions into the abyss that has become Twitter and FB. Am I unintentionally promoting Mastodon here? IDK.

I haven't had any themed birthday parties in years, and I do miss it. The opportunity to dress up (even weirdly) the curation of the theme and its photobooth and party favors.... but most of all, the warranted request that all my favorite people gather in one place. In my 2022 state of mind, the level of connection I could have with each friend in a 4-hour window while probably drinking... with the COVID precautions, not entirely worth it. But  I would love to hike with you, talk books with you, get coffee with you, watch Wednesday with you, go to Emo Nite with you, make fancy popcorn with you, spill our guts, find our flow, laugh cry, write and talk about it, share a meal, throw some axes, share some space.

Yess I'm liking this Leighton and Tatum stuff so much haha. It's just fun and Tatum is so who she needs right now. I'm really digging them and I hope they won't end on bad terms and preferably not next episode. I swooned when Tatum reassured her. And the coming out?? I was so anxious throughout ep 8 just anticipating the moment. I think we're all scarred by coming outs like nasty bitch Mrs Abuela Lopez's reaction and I'm happy that the first impression I got from Leighton's dad back in the very first episode was correct. He's not perfect and the Murrays are only as functional as a filthy rich family can be but it was a good scene. I did hold my breath when he left the table ngl. If I'm honest the coming out storyline in general is just a liiiittle bit anticlimactic but better go smoothly than tragically. I'm very happy for Leighton but I'm still hoping she'll come out to her mom in person too. That seems to be the messier relationship.

Bela 😭 I appreciate how well The Foxy girls conveyed that it's getting real hard to root for her. Well I still am rooting for her, flaws and all, but the Eric scene at the end of ep 7 was very indicative of how much she has to grow and mature. I can't fault him for saying what did. At least the Priya plot got a good resolution, it would have sucked for her to alienate a friend from back home too. Out of the four main girlies Bela's having it the toughest rn (and Kimberly had to sell her eggs!) and idk what can be done about that in two eps but we'll see.

Lmao I kinda like that Canaan and Whitney can act friendly now and am wondering if it's building up to them getting back together. Either way the library scene wasn't as cringe as it could have lol; I get really bad second-hand embarrassment but I just laughed at this moment. I think it's because Canaan handles it relatively well. She and Kimberly are having a more chill time now and honestly they deserve it.
