Something I find fascinating about Melkor's character as a villain and how he fits as the satan-figure of the Tolkienverse is that he's ridiculously powerful and strong, he's brought kingdoms to their knees and marred the earth and yet...he's totally pathetic.
This guy is second in power only to God Himself and yet he's a complete coward and a loser. It's almost laughable, the sheer levels of pure lameness Melkor is able to reach. This is the dude who once went to the ocean just to scream curses at it in one draft; who was practically peeing his pants at the thought of having to fight Fingolfin; who put the largest bounties on the heads of thieves despite Melkor being a thief himself, with the evidence of it burned into his very flesh. He wanted to rule the world but then the moment he realized it could never be his and only his in its entirety, instead of admitting defeat he decided that throwing an eternally long temper tantrum about it all the while destroying everything and everyone around him was a much better idea.
And its so, so different compared to other fictional depictions of demonic/satan-esque characters I often see in the media, where they make him into this cool, attractive noble suave guy. It's honestly kind of refreshing, finding a fictional depiction of a Satanic figure who is none of those things whatsoever.
Can I see Melkor as an attractive, charming guy at the beginning? Sure. But at the end of the war of wrath, when he has wasted so much of his power and fallen so incredibly low? When he's in constant pain all the time? When he's just so incredibly awful that even his most devoted servant comes to hate his guts? No way.
Especially when Evil in the Tolkienverse is often associated with physical and mental deterioration(think Gollum), Melkor was bound to be a complete and utter wreck, a sad pitiful shell of the once great ainu he used to be, by the end of it all. Because that's what evil does to a person. It destroys them from the inside out until there's practically nothing left.

hmm i think denying will’s jealousy in both st3 and st4 is erasing an important part abt his love for mike and who he is, esp with how it’s different both seasons. because it’s often associated with homophobes trying to act like will was evil for being jealous and a little upset w/ his friends, so it’s dismissed overall but like. okay. ignore them for once. in season three, it’s still a more childish thing—which yea ofc it is. he’s a kid. he wants to cherish that time and his friends. he feels left behind (he IS left behind) but this is also the first time he sees mike with someone else, somewhat of the way he was with will. and it isn’t like will was planning on making mike his boyfriend, but he assumed they’d just stay closer than everyone forever. he wants them to love each other but he wasn’t expecting some love declaration, it would just be their thing. and that’s another part of what upsets him—besides him feeling so invisible and stuck in the past, he’s mad because he expected so much. hence him calling himself stupid while looking at that picture. it was almost like it was foolish for him to even feel jealous, for him to want to be noticed again. i wouldn’t necessarily call it selfish because that isn’t will, but it isn’t like it is in season four. it’s not as resigned. and it comes from a place of sadness and anger and so much fucking hope that it’s embarrassing for him. but then in season four, he really only gets annoyed that day at rink o mania, specifically that talk with el while mike gets his socks. this is also right after that wack airport hug, so he’s upset with both mike AND el. and guess what? the jealousy is more of an i’m disappointed and i’m upset and i can’t believe this is what’s happening when it was supposed to be good. like how it was in the summer. and then other times when he seems to be jealous (mike walking up to give el her eggos), it’s quiet, it’s less obvious, it’s more yearning. even when el’s brought up in a lot of conversations, he doesn’t get mad. if it was st3, he would’ve rolled his eyes, he wouldn’t have wanted to engage in the conversation. he’s tired and he’s trying to grow up. and then again right before the byers brother™️ talk, he’s looking over at mike and el and again, it’s that quietness, that sadness, that loneliness. literal hours after he lies about the painting and resigns himself to a life of this silence, this secret. he’s exhausted and just doesn’t expect things to ever be the same. it’s still jealousy, nonetheless. the script confirms it, yes, but it’s not even that hard to realize. people just do it wrong. and jealousy isn’t always bitter or angry, will rarely is. it stems from this love he’s had since he can remember and this pathetic-ness he’s felt many times, but never because of mike. until things change (ahem. one summer can change everything or whatever it was) and mike was the one aspect of his life he didn’t expect to change!!! the contrast between his st3 jealousy and st4 jealousy is so insane and tragic but beautiful because you know he loves mike so much but he doesn’t want to fight for him or with him.

When your relationship started, KYLE asked to keep it a secret to which you agreed since you knew what his friends were like and if they found out Kyle got himself a girlfriend they'd belittle the shit out of him- especially Cartman who you've learned to be the most bitchiest and evil one out of all of them.
Everything went smoothly between the two of you in your relationship, you both would keep your affectionate interactions for private times and said interactions consisted of hugs, cuddles and kisses- and you teasing your boyfriend for his red face. Overall just lovey dovey interactions.
Now jealousy was nothing new to Kyle, or you for the matter, but he managed to control himself from punching the fucker who had the utter balls to flirt with you. He was grateful that you'd always shoot the person down almost immediately after understanding what they were doing. So, during lunch, when one of your other friends CLYDE came up to you, Kyle didnt really pay attention to the small nagging voice of jealousy in his head, Clyde was one of your mates so he wouldnt flirt with you- but of course there were rumors about him having a massive crush on you and the fact that he was what the world would consider a 'play-boy' who'd flirt with every girl within a 10 mile radius of him.
"Heyyyy N/n! " Clyde called out to you, running over to your side a big shit eating grin on his face, clearly he was about to say something that will tick of Kyle even more than he already has. " Huh- Oh hey Clyde! How's it been man? " you tilted your head your own grin on your face. " Did it hurt?" Clyde walked closer to you, swinging his free arm over your shoulder, his shit eating grin growing at your confusion " Huh?-" "- When you fell from heaven babe!" You pulled you closer, laughing at his shitty pickup line, though clearly it wasnt TOO shitty considering you started laughing unknowingly making Kyles annoyance grow " Pfffff- oh-oh my g-goddddd- Clyde that was so shit! " " Yeah- but it worked! It made you all red in the face! " Clyde teased, poking your reddened cheek .

" he yelled holding his now bleeding nose but before he could say more or even react Kyle threw himself at Clyde, sending multiple punches to the other "DONT FUCKING FLIRT WITH MY GIRLFRIEND! " without realizing he blurted out the fact that you two were dating.
A crowd was formed round the three of you the moment the first punch was thrown, gasps and whispers filled the room at the new piece of knowledge of you and Kyle dating but before much more could happen Mr. Macky rushed in quickly separating the two boys, kyle struggled against the adults hold, managing to get his hands on Clyde again but was just as quickly separated from him as the first time " Dont you ever flirt with my girlfriend ever again! " Kyle groaned letting himself be dragged away from the cafeteria.
" KYLE'S GOT A GIRLFRIEND!? "
Later, you were found sitting by Kyle's side, telling him off for acting so recklessly " Kyle you didnt need to go punching Clyde like that- and now, since you've blurted it out, people know we're together " Kyle huffed, resting his head on your shoulder, his hand holding yours " So what? Now people will leave you alone, it always got on my nerves anyway " " What about your friends babe? One Piece Live Action Review
Now that I've had time to watch and digest all the episodes it's time to discuss how I feel about the adaptation. This break down will be full of spoilers, so read at your own risk.
One Piece Live Action is good, actually.
Live action anime adaptations have a tendency to be soulless cash grabs that either don't give a shit about the source material or bank too much on just showing things the fans recognizes in place of an actual story.
OPLA loves the source material. It is clear that this production is a celebration of the manga series. The easter eggs and small nods to the series are not just there to make you point at the screen and say "There's the Thing!" They are apart of the world. Taking a note from Oda's writing to make the world of OPLA fill just as rich as the manga.
However, it is not a one for one recreation of the East Blue saga. How could it be? It would be impossible to take ~100 chapters of story and cram it into an 8 hour tv show season without it being a powerpoint of Luffy's Greatest Hits.
The story had to be changed to fit the medium and the pacing. Overall, I think the pacing is good and the changes made are for the better. But it's not perfect.
Episode 1 (aka mostly Zoro's intro):
Of the entire season, this was the weakest episode in my opinion. It had the most to introduce which is quite a challenge and it does so fairly well, but there are changes made here that I'm just not a fan of and I believe make the story weaker.
Zoro's introduction being changed to his face off with Mr. 7 is fine. It shows us him praying for Kuina, him being sassy to a bad guy, and ultimately him killing Mr. 7. Awesome start!
Unfortunately, we suffer when we cut to Zoro at Shells Town. He's only tied and imprisoned for a day, if that. And that's not even where Luffy first sees him. Instead, Luffy first sees Zoro at a bar starting a fight. Taking away the impact of him seeing Zoro's strong will after being tied up for days.
And it gets worse... Luffy just let's Zoro out, no strings attached and Zoro fetches his own swords. It takes away from the charm of the original scene where Luffy (a little bastard) blackmails Zoro into joining his crew to get his swords back. This change takes away two things: a showcase that Luffy is willing to be a stubborn shit to get what he wants and Zoro's willingness to give up his resolve because Luffy kept his word and brought him his swords.
While we're here, time for a Zoro tangent;
I'm really not a fan of how the character was adapted. This is not Zoro, this is some smug, emotionless samurai. All the beats were there. There were references to him being lost and a few jokey moments, but they are all delivered in the same monotone. Rarely is this Zoro shown to emote. Nor does he ever get to be goofy because YES! Roronoa Zoro can goofy. He's just a teenager in the East Blue saga, and yet OPLA plays him like he's alcoholic Batman.
Episode 2:
Oooh boy, give it up for episode 2! And Buggy, my little meow meow Buggy! I love him <3
As for the episode, the change from having Buggy being some shitty pirate just camped nearby and annoying the village to being a pirate who enslaved the village into being his audience was excellent! It's so fucked up and campy and even more fucked up.
Buggy's desires are for attention and fame. He wants what Shanks has and yet he's still stuck in the East Blue, desperate for a map that he can't get his own greedy hands on.
Buggy was such a stand out character in OPLA. I love Buggy in general and this version is a bit different than the pathetic Buggy we love from the manga, but he is like a evil cartoon villain chewing the scenery! I'm so glad they roped him into the plot to keep him throughout the season.
Episodes 3 & 4:
These are fine. Some people aren't fans of the changes and yeah, I agree taking away a lot of Usopp's agency sucks. It really doesn't feel like this is Usopp's arc, more like that he's just some guy who happens to be there.
But I was never a huge fan of the Syrup Village arc. I felt like it was poorly paced in the anime and the changes made at least kept the story condensed and Kuro's plan seemed more well thought out.
Biggest highlight of these episodes was Usopp! Jacob Romero does an amazing job at bringing the character to screen. He has so much charisma that it's hard not to smile when he's in a scene.
Episodes 5 & 6:
Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE the Baratie arc! And this adaptation... is fine. Much like how Usopp is an after thought in his arc, Sanji is sidelined here to make room for PLOT.
Changing the Big Bad who threatens Baratie from Don Krieg to Arlong is a great choice. Don Krieg was always a lame, forgettable villain, so having Arlong show up to help push the plot towards the next arc is smart.
Much like Zoro's introduction, I'm not happy with Sanji's either. Specifically with how he meet Luffy. The scene where Sanji is the crew's waiter and has to fight some rowdy pirates is charming. But then Luffy say, "He's a great fighter." and UGGGHHHHHH
Luffy does NOT recruit Sanji for his strength. Nor does he recruit him for his cooking abilities. He recruits him because he is KIND. This is the same gripe I have with the Zoro intro. Luffy sees Zoro fight before recruiting him. When really he's supposed to want Zoro after seeing him tied up and learning that Zoro was captured because he saved a little girl from Helmeppo's dog. While Zoro and Sanji are the two strongest fighters on Luffy's crew, he never recruited them because they could fight.
ANYWAY
Luffy does see Sanji's kindness, only after seeing him fight and trying his food, and the two actors have great chemistry on screen. It's easy to believe that they are becoming fast friends and you can see in Taz Skylar's acting how much Sanji admires Luffy right off the bat. It's cute!
Unfortunately while Sanji is sidelined in his own arc, so two are the reveal of his backstory and the famous All Blue dream talk. His backstory is revealed in a random trauma dump to the crew which is only used to further the Zoro losing to Mihawk story. And the All Blue talk is just dropped randomly and has nothing to do with Sanji learning to pursue his own dreams. That's just done with a short shouting match between him and Zeff. Whatever.
Episodes 7 & 8:
Arlong Park was a good place to end the season. And the adaption of the arc is once again fine. Nami's backstory is rushed and the change to having no one in the town knowing her true intentions is a weird one.
BUT! Something I hadn't mentioned before, the sets are really fun! Arlong Park is a good example of this because it takes the design from the manga/anime and adds its own twist. The twist? Making Arlong Park look like a fairway at an amusement park. Which is a fun (horribly depressing) nod to something fans of the series can pick up on.
Other notable sets are Buggy's circus tent, Kaya's Tim Burton themed mansion, and the Baratie. God the Baratie is an amazing set! The detail of the lighthouse on top is *chefs kiss*
Something else I didn't mention before, is that there is a B plot throughout all 8 episodes following Garp in pursuit of Luffy while training Koby and Helmeppo. It's loosely based on a cover story the manga ran early on and it's fine.
The characterization of Garp is a little odd, as he seems more strict and book smart than his manga counterpart. (I cheered when we saw him finally throw some canon balls!!) But it all lead up to a moment of him meeting Zeff. Two men of the older generation. A former pirate and a marine sitting down over a glass of wine and steaks. And they discuss having to accept the changing world when really the conversation is about accepting their boys moving on follow their dreams. It's a simple scene, but it's one of my favorites.
NOW the Arlong Park battle is good, if not a little short because they have to make time for the Garp stuff. There is one line in particular that really bothers me. There is a moment where Luffy agrees with Arlong and says something like, "Maybe I can't defeat you." and... that's not Luffy.
Arlong Park has one of Luffy's most iconic moments. A moment that defines his character and the entire series.
And I think that's how I feel about the OPLA as a whole.
It's good, but it's not One Piece. Well- it's not the One Piece we already know.
This Luffy is different. OPLA Luffy has a moral compass. He has snappy lines and has maybe even read a book in his life time. He's not the same Luffy from the manga, and that's okay. Inaki Godoy is a joy to watch on screen and his version of Luffy is just as wonderful in his own way.
One Piece Live Action is witty and very charming. Filled with great action scenes, lively sets & costumes, and actors who are giving it their all in every scene.
Despite some changes I disagree with, this was an amazing adaption that is a celebration of the fans and an introduction to the wacky world of One Piece to new viewers.

lucifer morningstar redesign.
god, his design is one of the most disappointing in hazbin hotel. you're telling me LUCIFER, the ruler of hell. is just another evil smiling twink? and he's pathetic and depressed and awkward? really? how did this man get both LILITH AND EVE when canonically adam is a lot more charismatic and bombastic.
so i made him serve cunt.
few things: i tried to keep a lot of the elements the same so he could slot into the canon relatively seamlessly. well, except the fact that he's now as glamorous as bowie or the new york dolls. come on, they even had the red cheeks going on, the material is RIGHT THERE. thus, hes got eyeshadow, lipstick, and eyelashes he can totally give to his daughter.
major design elements include circus ringleader and glam rock star. apparently the embodiments of sin are supposed to represent various aspects of a circus, with lucifer being the ringleader... but ringleaders have whips not canes. i gave him a golden snake whip to hold instead.
he has huge ass platform shoes because i kinda liked the idea he was short, plus there was totally a trend of insanely tall platforms in the 70s. glitter is just a given.
hair is longer, slicked back. was going to give him curly or teased hair, but it didn't feel right and i was unsure how to stylize it properly. i think just giving him more of a mullet is enough to sell the androgyny.
its hidden by his coat, but the grey pants are part of an overalls jumpsuit combination that gets really tight around the crotch, as i've seen far too many 70s musicians take advantage of, you'd think they just don't wear underwear. i think if you're lucifer, you should be packing too and with the vulgar humor of hazbin hotel, it would be an amazing source of jokes combined with his relative lack of awareness of the innuendos he makes. come on vivzie, i'm giving you material here!
chest hair. it was in. it should still be in imo.
nose. eyelashes. a hat that represents the Morning Star. i think that's it really.

Marry My Husband - By LICO (9/10)
It's that time again. It's time for an honorable mention. A plot twist yandere. Does the twist make sense? Yes! Dive right in and enjoy the cheating and pain our perfect protagonist suffers through. The finale and the buildup both feel extremely cathartic. The writing is also very good even though the overall plot is stereotypical.
This one made my heart pound. I thought I knew what was happening. I could kind of guess most of the plot twists, but the last few took me by surprise. In the beginning we see the story from Ji-won's perspective. She's a very sad, pathetic woman.
I like her. I'm just telling you the truth. She devoted her life to her best friend and her lazy husband. Her two most important people slept together behind her back, while she did all the work. Her shit husband used her until she literally died of cancer. Then he used her life insurance money to marry that very same adulterous best friend. The first few chapters of this are honestly brutal. Ji-won dies thinking she is completely alone. After her death her husband gets discovered of course, but it's far too late. The evil cheating couple destroyed her completely. Like, completely. They turned her friends against her. They made her doubt her worth. The husband made her work until she dropped. To the point where she had to stop taking care of her appearance, because she had no time for herself. Her "best friend" called her ugly behind her back while she fucked her husband. Ji-won didn't fight back. She dumbly loved people who didn't love her. She let her confidence issues control her. She manages to confront them both before she dies....but she dies (after a brutal beating) knowing that her husband was a cheater who never loved her.
Bummer.
Quick warning though. This is a massively fucked up story. There's elder abuse. Fake pregnancies. Lots of mental abuse. Adult bullying (yes that's a thing). Every kind of financial abuse including insurance fraud. Attempted murder. Slut shaming. Every nightmare you never want to experience is in this, and that's why the villains are so good. I didn't notice the yandere because they are both such genuine threats. I was too worried about Ji-won to care about romance. Min-hwan and Soo-min are two different types of abusers. Min-hwan was physically and financially abusive. Soo-min is the real monster though. She's coercive. She's a narcissistic sociopath who gets off on destroying other people's happiness. Soo-min knows she's stupid. She knows her only weapon is her cute looks. So she acts cute and quietly ruins Ji-won's reputation, even though they are best friends.
Why?
Because fuck you, that's why.
Soo-min had a bad childhood.
That means she's allowed to do whatever she wants.
That's the kind of monster we're dealing with.
Here's the good news. Ji-won isn't a perfect person. She's smart. Obviously she's pretty when she tries. She's good at her job and blah, blah blah...but. she's always hated being a pushover. After her tragic death her father's spirit(?) blesses her with a second life. She immediately chooses evil. It's amazing. She's going to get the best possible revenge. She knows Min-hwan is an abuser, so Soo-min can have him. She's already dating Min-hwan, but he's already thinking of cheating on her. How convenient. Soo-min is close by too, and Soo-min wants everything Ji-won has. Ji-won genuinely wants both of them to suffer. It's awesome, and Min-hwan is truly a fitting punishment. He likes cute sluts, but he expects his wife to be conservative because that's what his wealthy parents want. So, if Soo-min marries him she'll have to deal with extremely sexist in-laws, Min-hwan's horrible spending habits, and a mother in law who is creepily obsessed with grandchildren.
10/10 perfect revenge.
This is Ji-won's lovely assistant, Ji-hyuk. Clap for him. The author did a great job. In the beginning Ji-hyuk looks like a capable and handsome manager. He hates Min-hwan and Soo-min because they suck at their jobs. He's willing to help Ji-won screw them over because they are thorns in his side. I bought his bullshit. I thought Ji-hyuk would fall for Ji-won. I didn't know he was completely in love from the beginning, but when the truth came out it made perfect sense. I was still floored though. Prepare yourself. After Ji-won died in her first life...he killed himself. Yup. He couldn't live with the fact that he could have saved her from the abuse. He was actually kinda sorta stalking her. Checking in on her even though she no longer remembered him and such. He couldn't forgive himself, so he walked into the sea and Ji-won's father (?) the spirit sends him back in time with Ji-won.
Ji-hyuk does fucked up shit to help Ji-won with ZERO hesitation. He knows EVERYTHING. He's straight up willing to let her kill people, but he doesn't reveal everything. Remember, Ji-won doesn't know this guy. He was obsessed with her, but he gave up because she loved Min-hwan. This second life is his chance to help her and be loved by her. He's like...use me please Ji-won. He moves into her apartment building because he's so afraid for her. He helps her slowly run away from Min-hwan. He knows Min-hwan is a monster so he wants to protect her no matter what. He's so willing that she's suspicious at first, but she believes his excuses. Yes, Soo-min is a shitty employee and a liability. The manager wanting to build a case to fire her makes perfect sense. However, Ji-won quickly figures out that he has a crush on her. She doesn't act on her feelings for 35 chapters, because her revenge is important to her. She doesn't give it up to pursue love and happiness. Ji-hyuk goes balls deep into the chaos with her. He waits for her to finish her business before they get together.
We slowly watch the chaos grow. Soo-min is an idiot, but she's also willing to do anything...to get a rich husband. Min-hwan is technically that. (His parents are rich not him but whatever she doesn't care). Soo-min gets caught doing stupid shit. She accidentally poisons someone with an allergy. She flirts with an extremely sexist manager to get her way. She starts sleeping with Min-hwan right after he proposes to Ji-won. Then she pretends to be pregnant. Ji-won lets her have Min-hwan, but... remember the fucked up shit I mentioned? Min-hwan is infertile. His family blames that infertility on his wife, which is Soo-min this time. She experiences a hell that she herself created, but she still blames Ji-won. She knows Ji-won is out to get her. So things spiral out of control.
Soo-min actually murders her mother in law it's nuts. Then Min-hwan tries to kill her for insurance money.
Truly they are a match made in heaven.
Anyway about the side characters. They're very good. There are some side stories stitched in here that make the world feel more alive. This is Eun-ho. He's a guy that loved Ji-won back in high school. Ji-won loved him. Soo-min ruined it by spreading rumors. Eun-ho is really nice. He becomes a great friend and ally. The girls who used to bully Ji-won apologize to her and... hahaha...they all go to Soo-min's wedding to embarrass her. They drink alot of alcohol and act rude even though it's clearly a traditional wedding.
It's great.
You must be curious. Is the romance part of this actually good? Yes, it is. I didn't figure out that Ji-hyuk was a yandere for quite a while. It's enjoyable by itself. Ji-hyuk is a super duper devoted I die if you die yandere. He's also rich and super smart. He's just a little socially awkward and stern. His cute moments are extremely sweet.
They both like cats.
Hooray.
Mans Kinda a class A freak tho. Again Ji-won didn't know he existed and he kms'd right after her funeral WTF.
Also Ji-won was 37 when she died so Ji-hyuk was literally just pining to death for a decade. What a freak.
And...he didn't fall in love with her at work. He fell in love with her when he was in university. She also didn't know who he was at the time....freak...

Gonna give some love to one of my favorite Radiant Dawn minor antagonists, Hetzel. And what he represents overall in Radiant Dawn.
Now when Hetzel shows up in PoR and Radiant Dawn he seems like an unassuming old man. Practically harmless compared to the other obviously evil senators. But the thing is, Hetzel is a great sign of somebody who is aware actions are wrong, but he never uses any of his own power to stop or take a stance.
He knows the Serenes Massacre plan is bad, but he doesn't really make any attempts to stop it. Because the truth is he's more ambivalent to the plight of the Herons. He bails out slaver and fellow Senator, Oliver, despite a whole point of Sanaki's campaign was to find the people still partaking in the slave trade and stamping them out. And while he makes no aggressive actions against Sanaki, he still is a part of the anti Apostle group of Senators. Yet despite all that he still frees Rafiel.
This is because Hetzel is probably one of the most mature criticism Fire Emblem has had of someone in power: Hetzel is ultimately a man who likes having power and maintaining the status quo. Unlike Lekain and other who their current position isn't just enough and need to keep aggressively expanding, Hetzel rather takes a position of doing what is best to main the power he has. Despite the fact he is aware that slavery and massacring is bad. He will still benefit if Lekain wins, but will never use any of his power to implement any significant changes. At best all he does is gestures of good faith.
Theocracy in Fire Emblem is honestly kinda shallow and very much a simplified version of it. That there is a religion that has some form of political power. And that one in charge is probably some person who pushes down on others because god tells them to. But Tellius seems to understand a theocracy isn't just about the dogma of a faith being implemented by the state and there for the only true religion and those with conflicting ideas must die, but rather those who benefit the most are the ones in the highest positions of the theocratic organization. Something that can be achieved less through actually believing but actually knowing how to rise in rank in a religious institution. All of the senators are Dukes, holding massive lands and they are the senior most members of their faith. While we know that warriors of the faith like Zelgius and others hold titles like Earl for their place in the military fighting for their faith. The theocracy of Begnion is one that isn't just about "because the Goddess" its a group of men who have grown rich and consolidated much of their riches and political position and now someone like Sanaki is going to upset this balance after they worked to avoid this happening with Apostle Misha. Delegitimizing Sanaki by revealing she's not the true Apostle would then pass over the power of the empire to Lekain and his cronies. And Hetzel was along for this ride for a long time.
And when finally confronted by Rafiel in the end, Hetzel only begs for forgiveness. He knows what he has done is wrong but pleas that he was kind to Rafiel so that means he's not all that bad. But Rafiel has nothing left to say. Hetzel did have a choice given where he was in the senate. And in the end he ultimately choose to go with Lekain's flow. And when Ike confronts Hetzel, all Hetzel refuses to surrender. He'll be disgraced. Even at the end knowing after everything and having one last chance to get out, he doesn't take it because his status is more important to him than doing the right thing.
Hetzel is a wonderfully pathetic villain and a genuinely good examination of those in power who passively allow bad acts even when they have a level of awareness. While there are a lot of people who like to dismiss many FE villains (and lets be fair) that aren't always that strong or that complex. But I always want to at least give praise to instances like Hetzel that make memorable antagonists.

Now that I’ve discovered the source, a bit more on that S6 ‘leak’ concerning Chloe...
Have to say, if this IS a fake... it’s a pretty good one! Or pretty bad, if your initials are CB.
1. What evolution? There is NO evolution here, just more and more hate. Or is that my feelings towards Miraculous Ladybug..?
2. Chloe is a ‘lost cause’, eh? Well, that’s one thing her and the show have in common at least...
3. Why do I get the feeling Thomas Astruc would put a stronger word than ‘brat’ there... if he knew Disney wasn’t watching?
Anyway, onto her BIG DEVELOPMENTS for the season... Time to GET EXCITED(!)
...So let me get this straight. It’s just like Queen Bee all over again (never accuse this show of not recycling a mediocre storyline), except this time Chloe DOESN’T make the mistake of revealing herself to the public.
No, she’s got her ex-bestie to do that for her! And stopping Chloe from doing good, whether it be for her own ego or not, is the right thing to do?! If she’s helping others and saving people’s lives, what do it matter that she’s doing it for her own interest?
You know what, the writers had a halfway decent idea here (yes, I’m just as shocked as you are). Chloe could’ve made a fresh start in a city where no-one knows her, slowly seen the error of her ways, learned from her experiences what it means to be a TRUE hero, gradually tried reconnecting with her old friends, father and MAYBE even her half-sister...
Nah, let’s ditch all that in favor of yet ANOTHER unbelievably stale ‘Chloe turns evil’ plot, have Sabrina betray her (ooohhh the irony!) then have her back to square one again as the resident Super-Bitch! (Yep, there’s that word I bet Thomas wanted to use...) Pathetic.
But then again, that’s this show in a nutshell. Raising your hopes sky-high with much build-up, then dropping them from a great height like Ladybug falling after her yo-yo string snaps. (OOPS, now where did I put those shears?) ^^
Oh, and guess what her kwami as Silver/Steel Feather will be like? This one’s a doozie!
So to sum it up: She starts out as Pollen (though, I’d prefer the term ‘subservient’) and ends up as... Audrey.
Just what Chloe needs in her life, someone else to yell at her for perceived misdemeanors. She was TRYING, Taara... not her fault if Sabrina decided to blow the whistle on her attempts at self-improvement!
At least praise her for her acts of bravery as a hero, if not her overall attitude. But no, this is Miraculous Ladybug we’re talking about here; there are no gray areas. Black is black, white is white and Chloe ‘will always be a bi... brat’. You read it here folks, straight from the horse’s mouth.
If I hadn’t already Rage Quit the show when Zoe made her thoroughly unnecessary and unwelcome appearance, I’d be pretty upset right now. But as things stand, the biggest emotional response I can muster in response to this latest outrage is a slight shrug of the shoulders, and a pointed ‘Whatever’.

Idk if u d0 r0mantic headcanons but… Dating Matthew Patel headcanons
I haven’t done romantic headcanons before (at least in terms of “x reader” stuff) but I’ll give it my best shot!
Quick disclaimer: I am a lesbian who is very much not attracted to men, so I’m approaching this from a purely objective standpoint just to get a better idea of how I interpret his personality & overall approach to relationships (& it’ll also help me flesh out my MattLee headcanons so I can get a clearer idea of their dynamic in my head)
So anyway:
Dating Matthew Patel
As I mentioned in my previous post about Matt (which you can find in the tags), after what happened with Ramona he became hesitant to pursue another romantic relationship because he figured it would only end badly, so he started to play up the whole “mysterious brooding loner” schtick so people would leave him alone. Unfortunately, this only attracted him more attention because 1. he was trying way too hard so it just made him come off as overdramatic and 2. there was a select group of girls in his grade who thought he was secretly a vampire and took him rebuffing their advances as “playing hard to get” (yeah this all technically takes place before Twilight [and by extension the vampire craze] comes out but it’s my headcanon & I’m allowed to have a little fun).
If he did catch feelings for someone, he’d probably start out repressing them pretty heavily like the angsty little bitch he is. He talks a pretty big game for someone who claims they’re so slick, but when the time comes to actually tell someone how he feels he shuts down & it would probably take him a while to work up the nerve to confess.
Either that, or he’d come in overconfident with some kind of ridiculous pick-up line, then cringe at himself on the inside whenever he inevitably crashes and burns.
However, once he does finally feel comfortable enough with a partner, he would be completely and utterly OBSESSED. This man is first and foremost a theatre kid, so he is dramatic as fuck and not afraid to show it. Expect a lot of big, flashy, over-the-top romantic gestures; gifts, food (I do HC him to be a good cook), nice dates, fully-choreographed musical numbers—you name it.
It’s been said that the difference between being in love with a hero vs. a villain is that a hero would sacrifice you to save the world, but a villain would sacrifice the world to save you. Matt might be more of an edgelord than a true villain (no matter how much he claims he’s totally evil, yeah sure you are), but regardless he would burn the entire world down if it meant the person he loved would be warm.
It’s also been demonstrated that for all his big talk he has a pretty fragile ego, so he’d fall apart at the slightest indication that you were mad at him. Just totally pathetic (/affectionate) malewife guyfailure energy
Overall he acts all doom & gloom on the outside but when he does love someone, he’d both die and kill for them
honestly that’s about all i got for right now. i might come up with more later but it’s a lot easier for me to do these types of things for female characters bc women

Summary: underneath the darkness and evil is a soft, caring father. A side only the daughter of Undertaker sees.
Note: The reader is referred to as angel. Sorry it's short.
The Lord of Darkness. A man that is seen as evil. A man that almost everyone avoids. Everyone believes they've seen the true Lord of Darkness aka the Undertaker, even the ministry thought they knew their leader but no one had yet to see the truth Undertaker except for one, very young girl.
That young girl was a secret to everyone with the exception of a few people. The main person that knew of her was Undertaker but to her he was dad. The relation between the two was clear. Angel as she was nicknamed looks just like Undertaker. There was only one difference.
That difference? There was not a single speck of black on her. Her hair? Ginger, just like dad naturally has. Her outfits? Every color that not pastel or black. Overall she was a mini-taker just without all the darkness. She was an angel in many ways. Maybe that's why Undertaker gave her the nickname angel.
Undertaker is surprisingly an amazing father. He always makes sure his little angel is taken care of. She means the world to him. It's why he hides her from the world. The undertaker doesn't want to put his daughter in danger. He knows how this business works. He not going to let his angel get harmed just so a pathetic man can attempt to get something over him.
Now he can't have her by his side all the time otherwise her existence would be exposed. Undertaker shockingly has told and trusted his half-brother with the knowledge of his little girl.
Angel would get worried when her dad disappears for a while. One of those moments was happening right now. Undertaker was having a match so she was unable to be around him but she was getting close to crying.
After the match undertaker rushed to his locker room. He felt as if something had happened to his angel. Once he got to the locker room he immediately felt small arms wrap around one of his legs. He looked down to see a teary-eyed angel and quickly picked her up.
"What's wrong angel?" The concern could be heard in his voice, but he didn't care. His focus was on the little girl in his arms. "you weren't here and I couldn't find you or uncle." Taker sighed, he would deal with Kane later. He had to worry about his daughter first.
Taker looked at her. "Dad had to do his job, but I'm here now, and I'm not leaving anytime soon. I'll also talk to your uncle later and see why he wasn't here, but I think it's nap time." As he said this, a small yawn could be heard.
"Okay, dad." No fight came from the small one as she was rubbing her eye. It was clear she was tired. Taker knew she'd want cuddles so he sat on the couch that was in the room and laid her on his chest.
After some time passed Undertaker looked down only to see the angel was asleep. He smiled a the sight. Then without realizing Taker had fallen asleep. Both members of the taker family were smiling in their sleep. They were happy to have the other.
Kane was trying to figure out why Undertaker had disappeared so quickly after his match, so he want to check Undertaker's locker room. Sure enough, he was there but Kane was surprised to see him smile so clearly, but then he saw that taker had angel in his arm and it made sense. Kane's face held a small, barely noticeable smile.
Undertaker can act all evil and tough as he wants, but the second he sees his daughter the wall fall, and the true Undertaker is shown to the world, but only she will ever see.

Propaganda why Izuku Midoriya is insufferable:
I stopped watching some thing ago but kid cries all the time, never did anything wrong, friendship is so magic and important that he puts up with his insanely toxic ""childhood best friend"" and overall every other character in the franchise is more interesting than him
I just don't vibe with him and find literally any other character from the show more interesting.No shade to those who do like him though he's actually not that bad.
He is so much more bland than virtually any other character in the primary cast and so many of his more interesting flaws or traits were dropped to make him more of the all-loving hero character.
I'm sorry, but I couldn't get past the first few episodes because of him. He was so whiny and a crybaby in a way I found insufferable. Sure, he's not evil or even a bad kid, but was by far the worst main shonen protag I'd ever encountered, and I'd somehow gotten through all of Naruto
Propaganda why Eragon is insufferable:
Pathetic loser. Despite being incredibly powerful, he somehow constantly needs help. The entire universe is basically holding his hand, and he still barely makes it.
He's a stupid self-centered boy who never thinks before he acts and in an annoying way rather than an endearing one and he falls in love with this girl after seeing her in his dreams once and the whole thing is kind of creepy. like yeah he's a fifteen-year-old boy but he's still annoying.
Literally never forgetting that scene where he's made out to be such a good boy for not sexually assaulting a woman in a coma even though he found her pretty. That was book 1 and somehow it got worse

Ok actually I'm gonna continue this rant where everybody can see it. (Mostly focusing on the Heralds bc Joseph,,, could be his own post honestly but he's mentioned when its important.)
Another very VERY well-made part of the framing and body language and everything in cutscenes is how they convey who is in power in every single one.
Let's start with John. He has the least amount of cut scenes in the game but also is shown not in power in 2/3 (4 if you count the beginning of his boss as a separate one) of them. The framing of the first cutscene portrays him as in charge and the focus at first, but then the moment Joseph enters the scene hes shown to have much more control and John suddenly looks like when a child is sent to the principals office or is being scolded by their parents. And that feeling doesn't end when Joseph leaves, because despite him still by all counts having some form of power over you, you already have seen cracks in the mask, and hes suddenly much less intimidating. The second scene is of course all John and the control he can possess when left alone but again, I think a big reason he is seen as pathetic by the fan base because he was already shown early to act almost neutered by Joseph and that was most likely on purpose. See, Johns area of the game is overall the easiest, and it's the one that's hinted at to go do first because it's a low-level area. He is the weakest in-game, and they absolutely knew what they were doing making the first guy you're supposed to fight still intimidating by how off the rails he can be and how him being set off causes violent tendencies that are scary when you are vulnerable, as shown in the Bunker scene and the Falls End scene. The final one i talk about above is finally putting him in a place where he is vulnerable, and it frames it as such, and it shows his panic and desperation in the end.
(Side note, the second bunker scene, from what I remember is the only John scene you can really look all around in, and it makes sense because of course you would be looking for a way out in this situation)
Faiths scenes are a little weird and different because Faith's whole thing is making you think that you want this and that she's just a helpful guide. Nope! No control here shes just showing you all this cool stuff. And for that reason her cutscenes generally allow you to look around and the focus is on both her and the environment. The scene where she has you walk the path is obviously very whimsical in nature and its the "we aren't scary! If we were evil would bliss be so beautiful? Would i be so kind?" Of course we the player also feel almost creeped out by this, because we see the fake smile with too many teeth and know what happens if you stay in the bliss too long. Faith is definitely meant to be the 2nd area in the game, mid level fights, her cutscenes can be put off but not entirely avoided like johns, a greater sense of urgency, that sort of thing. And Faith herself is intimidating because you never know when she's going to show up and where. Half way through a quest? K now you're jumping off the statue. Just stepped out of the jail? You're being shown the end by Joseph. It keeps you on your toes. Of course you can put it off for a while which is something i did often in game. Her boss is also probably the most fucking wild just because the mind fuckery that was present in her cutscenes being used against you more aggressively than before. Faiths 3rd act breakdown is fun too because you suddenly hear her giving excuses and trying to garner pity (albeit while chucking magic at you and flying,, did I mention her boss fight is my favorite?? Its my favorite.) Her final cutscene is soft and she dies with a warning. "If you listen to him, he'll be right" its ominous and it leaves you confused. Isn't she on his side? Its a weird sensation that sticks for a while after her fight. Clearly something meant to come to mind at the final fight with Joseph.
(Side note for her: I did the "side effects" or "after effects" quest or whatever its called after I beat her boss and was finishing up the quests in that area and man was it WILD to hear her giggling after death,,, she made more of an impact than y'all give her credit for, this has been my daily "please talk about faith more" psa)
Every cutscene with Jacob, regardless of weather or not hes actually in charge somehow conveys that he is in control of the situation. Its obvious for most of them, him being free and walking around, carefully chosing his words and what the player sees constantly, even when Pratt tries to reveal his plans its too frantic to understand. His presence is always felt in the Whitetail Mountains and his section of the game is obviously the most desperate. Your focus is always on him. What he's doing, where he's going, what he's saying. And he knows. He makes every word matter. And he is always confident. Even to the end. Theres something to be said about how even in the Joseph cutscene of his area, who always fucking steals the show when he's around, we still have a portion of our attention on Jacob because both of them are an equal threat. His death cutscene is probably the best example of my point. Even when he's hacking up blood and bleeding out he still is confident. He adds to Faith's warning "you did everything he said you would" still trying to instill that helplessness he's been giving you as he dies but it feels more genuine. He dies sitting on a rock, Jacob is gone but it never really feels that way.
