so guys 🙋🏻‍♀️🌸 i have finished the entire new quest at last and omg 👼🏼 like this was outstanding!! you see, what i really enjoy about star rail is that it gives me similar vibes to hi3 in terms of the darkness in the plot, since hi3 is my favorite hoyo game i always love seeing stuff from it or just similar instances. SO YOU KNOW FOR A FACT I WAS SO HYPED WHEN ACHERON SHOWED UP 🤺 especially with the hi3 story with kiana as the mc being over and although i still love hi3 the most, kiana, mei and bronya, that trio, they were all the best characters together AAAARGHHH I SWEAR AND JUST THE ENTIRE STORY LINE WAS SOOO GOOD, I miss them all together as a trio and especially kiana, the best hoyo MC FOR LIFE. 🙋🏻‍♀️🩷

I THOUGHT I WOULD STRUGGLE BUT HE DIED PRETTY QUICKLY BUT ITS FINE, I STILL LIKE HIS CHARACTER 🌸🙋🏻‍♀️. + i was happy hoyoverse showed us his backstory and took their time to flash it out and not gloss over it in idk one/two scenes, but they really took their time with it which was amazing 🩷

also jade looks so cool as well! the design is very pretty and i can't wait to see diamond too, or the rest of the ten stonehearts but they're hyping diamond up so much like another emanator?? yes please, i'm all in🧎🏻‍♀️🩷

this entire quest gave me movie vibes, you were on edge the entire time and even during side quests you had to take, it was still very intense. it actually took me quite a bit to finish it of course since i'm someone who doesn't skip dialog, but it was so worth it and the best way to relax after a long day of moving my body 🩷 just laying in bed, playing while drinking tea!!

Sure, she didn't directly agree to sleep with Belial when he offered because she thought he was still unwell, but here I honestly still expected her to just jump right in and not think twice about Leviathan's feelings, so I was very happy when she said this instead; she didn't focus on the fact that he dislikes her, but rather on not risking hurting him should he not want to do this with her. He's definitely attracted to you though, MC. He's just not on good terms with the concept of expressing his feelings relatable as fuck I know how this may have sounded harsh or mean of me—and it's not meant to be offend anyone—but the truth is that this MC wasn't created with 'gentle and sweet' in mind; the way her brain is hardwired to tirelessly daydream about sexual things has lead her to be insensitive at times (with painfully questionable intelligence to top it off, sorry) as seen in certain instances.

Meanwhile, Leviathan is so busy trying to get turned on that he's neither jealous nor envious of that lmao

update XXI: this is going to sound weird coming from me when I'm somewhat of a sadist who likes dark themes, loves horror and gore, and enjoys seeing torture in certain scenarios do I sound like the freak I am yet? and when I just made such a fucked up joke with good intentions too, but...MC hurting Leviathan over and over like this summons a feeling of discomfort and remorse in my heart even if I completely put away my dislike for consensual violence in sexual acts. Leviathan's past and the possible psychological implications behind his fondness of undergoing physical harm make this part somewhat painful to read, because perhaps his arousal from being hurt has something to do with what he went through as a child (i.e. it may be a coping mechanism of a sort). When I think of it that way, coupled with the horrific aspects of his childhood—the pain being inflicted on him messes with my emotions. Then again, this could just be his personal preference and not have deeper meanings. Either way, the game holds true to its themes and maintains excellent dark perspectives, and as I always say, I'll never dislike that. In fact, PB better keep these founding concepts intact.

It's a change of pace, new. For WHB, at least—since it isn't like previous CGs—but it's heart-throbbing in its own way; seeing cold, pretty Leviathan on the floor like that, meek with his red cheeks...slurp a delicacy.

Ahem, anyways. The CG took me down memory lane somewhat, back to my first otome-playing-days from about 10+ years ago. Whenever the 'Happy Ending' CG was of the male lead alone, I always disliked that because I WANTED TO SEE *THE COUPLE* DOING THINGS, DAMMIT (even though the wildest things players saw characters do in CGs back in those days were mostly kisses lol until they got more daring, that is).

So yeah, while I did feel sort of disappointed when I first saw this CG, while I do prefer CGs like those of previous H-scenes, and while I still wish I could've seen Leviathan and MC in action, at the same time this CG is *chef's kiss* for obvious reasons and also due to how I feel like it suits Leviathan very well in a way. He's built walls about his heart and boundaries around himself, so it's as though the game won't let players see him like they did the men before him (in the main story), if that makes sense. What's your favourite placement in a chart?

Another question: can placements in chart tell you if someone is like an evil or a good person? Like I know you can caculate the compatibility with another person and if they clash or not but I'm curious if theres something that can just tell they whether they're good or bad

With one of your exes in jail, the other one on a restraining order, and the newest hopefully still back at living with his mom somewhere in America, you've really had enough up to this point in time. He asks, and you almost choke on your cookie you've been attempting to eat, not having expected to have that name be dropped all of a sudden, especially not in that context. "Hey, you can't blame rumors from spreading. Something like this doesn't stay low-key with a guy like Jungkook at your side." He jabs playfully, though you're visibly confused.

"What the hell are you talking about?" You ask, voice raising in pitch at your complete confusion. "I'm not going out with him. And neither are we fooling around." You tell him, weirdly enough getting a little shy at the last bit of your sentence, as you remember the almost phone-sex-escapade you both have had a few weeks prior.

"Oh?" Jimin seems amused now, leaning back in his chair. "I must've misunderstood something then, last meeting I had. Staff at the company building was chattering like a cat watching a fly on the window." He says, raising his shoulders before letting them drop back down, clearly entertained at watching you squirm in frustration over whatever the hell those nosy women have started to make up.

"As if!" You scoff. "Jungkook and me, yeah, funny." You huff, slumping down in your chair, arms crossed.

"Why not?" Jimin asks, now genuinely interested. He's always wondered why you both seem to ignore each other to such a degree there's clearly something going on between the two of you, and it doesn't take a genius to see that. "I mean, you're pretty close, aren't you?" He wonders, and you don't react for a moment.

"I don't know." You say. "One moment he's super sweet, perfect guy, and then Boom! Asshole, makes me wanna gauge my eyes out." You say, a little agitated. "He makes fun of me and he's just in over his head all the time. Mister perfect, acting like I'm some sort of peasant.." You complain under your breath, making Jimin giggle across from you.

"Sounds like someone's got a crush." He snickers.

"Do not!" You bark back, feeling insulted. "It's more like a-… big brother kind of thing. I don't know. He's annoying." You try and justify.

"Huh." The older guy hums. "Sweet home Alabama~" He sings under his breath to tease you, and you kick after his shin underneath the table, almost hitting your own knee in the process.

"Shut up, park!" You say, before your phone vibrates. "God, can't I get a break today!" You almost yell, seeing that the guy you just had a conversation about was calling you. You pick it up without hesitating much however, ready to tear him a new one. "What do you want-"

"I need you to come to my office, asap. Where are you right now?" He asks, cutting you off. The tone of his voice makes you snap right out of your headspace you'd been in just seconds ago, the seriousness in it making you nervous- but you give him the location of the cafe anyways. "I'll send you a cab. I'll see you in a few." He tells you, before he hangs up, not leaving any room for you to argue.

"Mister perfect?" Jimin asks, but you don't respond to his teasing as you pull out your wallet to give him a couple of bills.

"It sounded kind of serious. Here's my cut of the bill-" You say, before putting your stuff together, laptop barely fitting into the worn out bag you carry around. "-good lord please let it just be something stupid like he got some prostitute pregnant-"

"How's that a 'just'-" Jimin argues amused, but you simply raise your arms before slipping into your coat.

"I don't know!" You tell him, taking the last sip of your hot chocolate, leaning over to kiss his cheek shortly after downing your treat. "I'm sorry I have to book it, I'll see you Friday?" You ask, and Jimin just smiles fondly, correcting the collar of your blouse for you.

"Of course." He says-

and you don't notice him look after you for a while, for as long as he can see you before you get into the cab and leave.

Well- at least he tried, he tries to comfort himself.

"there you are. Sorry you had to wait, the meeting lasted longer than I thought." Jungkook says, holding the glass door to his office open for you, black button up shirt undone the first few, silver watch on his wrist catching the light a little. "Come in. Did I pull you away from something?" He wonders, and you shake your head.

Whenever he's dressed like this, and in this kind of environment, it reminds you of how different you both are. You write books for a living- you don't even own formal wear like that, and it makes the age difference between you both sometimes more obvious than other times. Right now, it's pretty evident- with your simple dress and somewhat dirty boots, you look like you still study at some university, while he, dressed in slacks and all clean and mature, definitely looks his age.

It makes you feel a little.. small.

"No- well, a little, but it's fine, honestly." You shrug, sitting down on the small black leather sofa he's got secluded from his main desk as he sits down on it first, hand gesturing for you- the gesture making you notice the silver rings he's wearing today. Jungkook has always liked jewelry, you noticed. With his Numerous piercings, he's always been one to freely express himself, be it with them or his body ink you've briefly seen here and there, but never in full. "Jimin kind of asked me out, and it was super awkward, but that's not important right now-" You start, but he shakes his head, arms crossed and fabric of his black shirt straining around his biceps.

May god have mercy on you.

"It actually is. Did you say yes?" He wonders, and you look at him with confusion.

"Why's that relevant? You gonna hook me up in some fifty shades of grey kind of contract or something?" You wonder, but he doesn't seem to bite the teasing bait you throw him this time- so you drop your attempt. "I said no." You answer, and he nods.

"Alright." He says, internally a little (a lot) relieved at your answer, before he sighs, running a hand over his face. "One of those gossip websites online has leaked photos of the company event we went to. I guess you can already see where this is going." He assumes, and you groan.

"Nooo-" You whine. "Really?" He nods somberly. "Fuck me.!" You complain, and he snickers a bit to himself.

Gladly, he thinks to himself. But right now, there's not really a good moment for jokes like that.

"I'm sorry." You apologize, and he looks at you confused. "You always take me to these things, and I got so.. comfortable with it I guess I lost touch with how dangerous it has been all along for you and stuff." You mumble quietly, looking down at your knees. "I bet we can't just say we're not a couple and they'll just let it go?" You wonder, and he looks at you with a gaze you're not sure what to think of.

"What if we simply don't?" He asks. You look at him wide eyed. You wish you could read his thoughts in moments like these, when he simply offers a glimpse of what's going on in his head, but never enough for you to figure out his plans entirely.

"Huh?" You ask because of that, and he shrugs as an answer.

"What if we say we are a thing?" He asks, and in a way, you want to say no, because where the hell does he even get the idea from in the first place?

"But why?" You question him, and he uncrosses his legs, taking up a little more space as his arms unravel, hands clasped together as his forearms rest on his knees.

"It's a lot to ask, I know." He confesses. "But it would honestly help me tremendously. Mainly in getting those cheap paparazzi off my dick with their constant surveillance and need for money in order to keep silent." He reveals.

"So you want be to be your.. girlfriend so they stop following you around?" You ask, he nods.

"At it's core, yes." He tells you. He doesn't want to bombard you with anything more than that right now, well aware that too much at once can scare you off like a traumatized pet.

"huh." You hum out loud, thinking about it. Well- would it be so bad? It would also get any guy off of you as well, helping you in focusing more on your work and less on having to try and always make sure no publisher you get into contact with feels as if they have a chance to get closer to you than on a professional level. So in a way, it's beneficial for you both, isn't it? "Alright. Cool." You nod, and he looks surprised for a second.

"You sure?" He asks, and you nod.

"Yeah, I'm alright with that." You tell him, stretching your legs for a second before you lift the strap of your worn down bag back over your shoulder. "Is that all?" You ask, and he nods.

"Yeah." He offers as an answer, before you stand up and walk out the room.

Leaving him behind, unsure of what really just happened.

Unsure if you really understood what he was asking you.

Something you've not really thought of was, that with Jungkook now tied to your name, there was a lot of demand from you.

Not only private information (that was taken care of by him and his company basically, having taken weeks to make sure you were under the best online and offline security there is), but also your work. It didn't take long for the public to find out that you were an author- several of your novels having sold out unexpectantly overnight.

And in a way, it's a slap to your face.

You should be happy, and deep down, you are. Your works are finally reaching more people than ever- but it also makes you hate Jungkook again. Because this victory doesn't feel earned. It feels.. almost pitiful. Anything you're gonna release now will always be under the wing of his popularity, taking away any feeling of accomplishment you've been able to feel in the past.

Maybe you've not thought this through. Maybe all of this wasn't really truly worth it after all- but it's done now, no way to turn back. The only thing you can do in this moment is what you do best: hide away. Something you're a pro at, as pathetic as that sounds.

So when Jungkook calls you, you ignore it. There's no use in talking to him, and he never has anything nice to say to you at all anyways, so why bother. He's just gonna mock you or something, and right now, your ego is just too fragile to take that.

His texts go unanswered. You don't wanna know what he's got to say, you don't wanna read what he might be trying to tell you. It won't change anything.

Friday comes and goes. You just don't feel in the mood for it- rather staying in bed all day, ignoring life and even your own body because why would you care about cooking food for yourself when you could rather simply sleep the day away. Your books are selling, you don't need to rush out anything new for the time being- it'll all be fine.

Jimin asks where you are. Of course he does- he probably wants to know the newest gossip you've got, or he might be missing your snacks you bring over every time you watch a movie together. But he's got Jungkook and Tae at his house, probably. He'll be fine- he won't even notice you're not there.

Saturday goes by in a blur. You don't even remember eating anything- only a headache from sleeping the entire day away, some meds you flushed down with some water to combat it all before going to bed yet again, never changing out of your pyjamas, especially once your period hits of all things. And now? It's sunday, 6 in the morning, and you're wide awake, sitting in front of your laptop on your desk, scrolling through the massive reviews to your works online, some websites and blogs even writing full on articles about them. But it doesn't do anything. It doesn't make you feel anything.

None of those positive comments is able to lift your mood.

While he's left behind, wondering what went wrong.

I just played Chapter 8 and your worldbuilding was absolutely insanee, it's one of my favourite chapters so far. Could we also have Senua facts and lore, she was such a fascinating character.

Could you tell us more about Senua? She's such a great character! I couldn't help but wonder when reading about her if she is, perchance, a distance ancestor of Red? (The irony in that would be amazing! Poor Red missing out on that adventure but actually being somewhat related to Senua? lol)

Yay, I'm so glad you liked her! I wondered if her character would be more divisive given all the shit she puts MC's party through, but I personally love her! XD Unfortunately, the "real" Senua never married or had children, so she's not related to Red! I imagine that she was the only child to commoner parents who didn't really have a strong Gift themselves (I'm getting the vibe that they were cloth merchants or something like that). Around the age of six, her unusually strong magic would have started manifesting itself, so after consulting with some local teachers, her parents decided to send her to the Mage academy Stavastre. Interestingly, I think she wouldn't have completed her education there, probably running away as a teen of seventeen before earning her graduation robes because she would have been frustrated by how stifling and traditional she felt the teaching style was; Senua was a pioneer and maverick even from a young age, and coupled with her enormous Gift, she would have insisted on experimenting with magic in ways that would have made her instructors extremely uneasy or disapproving. So probably in a fit of pique after failing another class or something like that, she ran off in a "fuck the system" rebel move and probably would have traveled around for a while, doing whatever the hell she wanted. I could see her working as a blacksmith's apprentice, a sailor on a merchant barge, a keeper at a menagerie--whatever captured her fancy! She was enormously inquisitive and her mind was hungry for everything: experiences, knowledge, meeting people, new sights and sounds, what have you. 

Eventually, however, she would have settled a bit more in temperament and realized that her true calling lay with magic. Returning to Stavastre wouldn't have been an option (she was also quite hardheaded and prideful), but hearing about Archmage Tangriel and the things that Saenreth was pioneering (they would have been on the absolute frontier of magic), she would have been eager to join people she perceived to be more like herself (innovative, fearless, radical, revolutionary) and would have joined the Crystal Tournament in order to secure her entrance. Notably, she wouldn't have been part of an official delegation the same way the Adepts from other schools were, which would have made them treat her a bit coolly (this gets translated into how MC and their group feel as outsiders during their Crystal Tournament); if Senua was strong enough to enter the tournament essentially on her own and without the backing of a school, the others would have considered her a threat or would have looked down on her for being so unconventional. But she would have swept the competition, and you know the rest from there!

After she left Saenreth, I'm not sure what happened to Senua. If you find Archmage Tangriel's journal at the bottom of the Cave of Many Mouths, he includes a page addressing her and voices deep regrets over sending her away. A few years after she leaves, of course, is when he enters the reclusive part of his life and ultimately withdraws from the teaching and public life entirely, living in his tower with mostly only the companionship of his spirits and a few apprentices. The doors of Saenreth ultimately closed as a school, and it was some time later that the Archmage--in his experiments to perfect a method of translocation that didn't require you to have been to your destination before--vanished entirely. 

As for Senua... we know she went to Armalenthieh, and it's my guess that she became an instructor there, with all the connections and resources and recommendations and accolades Tangriel would have provided her with. But probably the scandal of their rumored affair would have caught up with her even there, and she probably wouldn't have fit in as well as she could have among the staff there anyway, preferring to be left to her own devices and teaching only because it was required of her to keep her position. Although still strong-minded, she would have become more and more solitary as time went on, until one day someone discovered that her office was empty and that Senua had simply... left. The history books don't say what happened to her after that!

Elf girl with a bow? Groundbreaking, I know. Well, what can I say except I'm a Tolkien fangirl fist and a person second. Anyhow, meet my Blades MC Ray! Super happy to finally give her the roguish kind of outfit I always envisioned. And a bunch of other details too! It was a very fun edit to make. Notes below!

Twilight elf is purely a headcanon thing. We don't know anything about elven ethnicities in the Blades universe, so I stole the idea of different elven ethnicities from DnD.

I wasn’t vibing with the canon name (Raine), but I wanted to keep the anagram with Aerin. Thus, Reina. She rarely ever uses her full name though, and most only know her by her nickname Ray.

She’s very sensitive, both in literally having keen senses as an elf and being a very empathetic person. She’s very intuitive as well, often making decisions based on what feels right, without being able to explain why.

At the beginning of the story, she's not a very good fighter, only ever using her bow for hunting. But she's observant and endlessly creative. So her fighting style is all about using her surroundings and coming up with ingeniously convoluted plans on the fly. And it somehow works!

She genuinely likes most people, and they respond in kind. Her ability to see the best in everyone is a blessing and a curse, because on the one hand, she has no trouble connecting with all sorts of folk (people, animals, weird fish monsters...), but on the other, she is always blind-sighted by the darker aspects of human (and non-human) nature.

Her playfulness and friendliness are often misconstrued as flirting, which is especially frustrating for her since Ray is on the aroace spectrum.

Started learning medicine to help Kade, and became quite good at it. She likes to help people in pain, be it physical or emotional. Before leaving Riverbend, gathering healing herbs and making remedies was her main source of income.

Being two years older than Kade, Ray's always felt the responsibility to take care of him. Kade rightfully suspects that Ray never left Riverbend because of him, and even though Ray herself would never hold it against him, it's an unspoken weight between the two.

Can never back away from a dare.

Every authority figure’s worst nightmare. 

Like Kade, loves songs and poetry. Kade is the better musician, but Ray has the better singing voice. When Kade was composing something new, she would often tune in, and they’d just start throwing rhymes at each other. Ray was always too restless to write her own poetry down, but she started doing it after Kade’s disappearance, so that she could share it after Kade comes back.

Doesn’t like thinking about the future. The understanding that she'll outlive everyone she’s ever known terrifies her.

Light sleeper. When she can’t sleep, Ray likes taking long walks, just absorbing the sounds and sights of the world around her. She likes how serene nature is at night.

What do you think of Sarah Brightman in POTO? She gets so much hate from the "phans" but I love her as Christine. She looks so victorian, classy, proper and innocent. When I got into the show (which I regret) I couldn't stop watching her with MC and Steve. I love her voice, it's so unique as Gillian Lynne described — like a dew dropping. Also Michael Crawford and her were similar in age to Erik and Christine. I think she wasn't more sympathetic and "into" him because that's how she was instructed to act, Hal Prince was very clear about Christine loving Raoul though she felt sorry for Erik. And Steve Barton was such a perfect Raoul. My all time favorite pair is JOJ & Gina as well as JOJ & Katie Hall. I also adore Hugh Panaro & Samantha Hill.

Honestly I would love to give an opinion, but I can't because I have only ever seen one Brightman performance and it was quite degraded, so her visual performance was very difficult to analyze.

What I will say is that I didn't know this about Hal Prince (keep in mind, I've only been in the Phandom for about eight months, so I'm still learning a lot of the production's history.) And I find that interesting, given the fact that Lloyd Webber himself has always dropped hints (and in more recent years, been more open about) his own very pro e/c feelings. I think in the end, everyone in the production has their own perspective, and those combinations of attitudes bubble and collide on stage with different outcomes every time. We have to keep in mind that every element of the main trio shifts the chemistry and even with repeats of the exact same trio, sometimes the vibe you get from Christine can be very different show-to-show. I've seen Crawford/Kristien/Barton in three separate boots and Kristien's performance has had varying degrees of enthusiasm with Erik in every one. In one she was more naïve and timid, in another she was blatantly horny.

I've seen Gina Beck absolutely terrified with Ramin Karimloo and gently spooked with David Shannon. I've seen Rachel Barrell mortified with John Owen Jones and sweetly sympathetic with Earl Carpenter (though her Christine always seems to be Lukewarm for Erik no matter what).

I can also say, having worked with some theatre directors (and of course, every director is different in how far they view their directorial power reaching) but the ones I've talked to have said "when we're in rehearsal it's my job to show you what to do. Once that curtain comes up, my job is done: it's in your hands, you know what to do."

Of course there's a limit to defying direction, but an actors job is not just to stand there and do what they're told. They have to do it in the way that will feel most organic to them and to the people watching. Theatre direction is different than movie direction. The director can't stop the show and give the actors notes to make sure that everything goes just how they want it to. The actors have a lot of power to interpret their direction, and like I said, that interpretation can vary from show to show even when it's the exact same main cast.

So I'm sure Brightman had performances where she was more into Erik and ones where she was more into Raoul. But I don't know.

Now as for her voice, I'm going to be honest that yes it's unique and she's without a doubt a fantastic singer, I'm not a huge fan of her vocal quality. Her voice is very thick to my ears and it's just not my favourite. I don't hate it by any means, but it's just not my favourite.

As for the hate, idk. If she did have a lukewarm performance across the board, it is partially her fault, but as I've said, creating a role is a difficult thing. Other Christines have been able to look at her and form impressions, have ideas and come to conclusions that Brightman may not even have thought of at the time. It's a lot of work to build a character with nothing to go on except the book which only partially resembles the story you're acting out, so I'm disinclined to be very harsh towards her. But I think we as phans have a feeling that no matter how many Erik/Christine pairings we've seen where Christine definitely embraces her attraction to Erik and leaves only reluctantly at the end--pairings that vindicate the E/C stance a lot of us hold dear--theres a sense (and an irrational one, I think) that the original interpretations are the only ones that really matter. While that's understandable, I think it's a bit of a fallacy, because as I've said, shows like this grow over time. New interpretations add new layers and ideas occur to both actors and directors that they maybe want to approach things differently from now on. If they changed their perspectives, it must be for a reason. The first version is often flawed.

ALSO keep in mind that later Christine's, Raoul's and Phantom's have had the benefit of full-text translations of the book that weren't available to the original cast and crew. Post 1990 Christines had the benefit of knowing that, in the book, Christine practically admits to Raoul that, if Erik was handsome, she would certainly have fallen completely in love with him (and, with Erik being pretty darn sexy in the musical, that definitely shifts the perception of Christine as a character and how she would make her decisions in this musical timeline). Maybe this is a factor into why most of the 90's Christines I've seen really went in for an enthusiastic interpretation.

Diavolo had invited MC to the castle for tea and had started inquiring MC on human world customs and traditions (what they do for fun) and our brilliantly smart MC much to the dismay of Lucifer and Barbatos blurted out the word 'KARAOKE' which obviously set our dear red-headed himbo on the idea that they must have a karaoke night and thus inviting everyone in HoL and the residents of Purgatory Hall. *sighhh* let's see how this goes~

LUCIFER: Flat out refuses to touch the mic, only giving in when Dia orders him to let loose abit and sing, and oh boi when he does.... Would, and i mean WOULD, sing Fly Me to the Moon. I mean, that's prolly the only song this poor old dilf daddy knows since all he listens to are cursed records but, look closely in his room and you might notice a record or two by Mr.Sinatra~

Lucifer's voice is like honey dripping off a golden spoon, like a light rain in the mornin, like the sultry voice of someone who just woke up, and all more mused beautifully. I mean, they don't call him Morningstar for nothing ;)

MAMMON: Think Jason Derulo, and Bruno Mars . He'd sing songs that are very beachy and summerry and fun and let's not forget the ones with names like '24K Gold' or 'Finesse' or that one verse in 'Acapulco' that goes,

"Damn that body, dabbled in versace, did i win the lottery or am i gonna stay? Damn you got me, like bitcoin and like dolce, i'm rich with you beside me, cause you're not coin based~"

100% singing directed right at MC because hey, he's MC's first man, so he gets to sing to MC's face :) In all honesty tho, his voice is absolutely beautiful, falling second only to Lucifer.

LEVIATHAN: He's belting out songs like Hikaru Nara and Unravel, and the only other person who enjoys them other than himself is MC sorry dude

He has a good voice, but sorta ended up ruining it from all that screaming and shouting at games lmfaoo.

Not that everyone minds, it's just that if he gets ahold of the mic he will NOT let go, the sort of person who says "one more song please, just one more" and that goes on forever.

SATAN: Will pick up the mic and sing any songs Lucifer sings just to prove that he's better. If he were to choose one for himself he'd pick classic Disney songs.

Think of Satan singing 'Once Upon A Dream' in that deep sexy voice of his.

If not Disney then he'd purposely pick something like "Queen of the Night Aria" and sing it mesmerizingly....in Lucifer's face :)

What do you love about this world?

Is everything an appropriate response? LOL! In reality, I love the lanterns. I can see them so perfectly and they are a mood and a vibe that just brings me such a creative sense of comfort and drive. I love the idea that there is this nexus point out there where realities and worlds can converge and I love that no one quite knows about big the market is. Endless streets lined with stalls, all of which have these little tiny booths, feels like a homey world to me.

2. Who is your favorite Baron and why?

That is incredibly hard for me to decide because a few of the Barons are characters I have in other games. If there was one I would keep going back to it would probably be Chrysanthemum and Noctine. There is so much to their story that you guys don't know and I am a sucker for royalty fae romance which is exactly their origin story. So, probably the Book Barons.

3. Favorite District

The Ren District. I was a kid that grew up on the idea of knights and princesses. I took several college classes on King Arthur. I loved jousting tournaments at local Ren fairs. I watched Knights Tale far too much in life... I love that district with everything I have.

4. Favorite scenes

I have two. The first, being Milo and the MC dancing in the rain. It was 4 a.m when I wrote that and we had a rain storm outside our house. I could just hear it pounding on our roof and the entire time I could just see so perfectly in my head this golden rain coating the streets and Milo dancing through it without a care. It was the happiest I think I have seen him in this IF and it is one I hold so very dear to my heart. If you haven't watched Lumineers Ophelia, do it. It has big vibes for that.

My second favorite scene is if you go confess your love to Belladonna. She was real and raw in that moment and I heard her voice echoing through my head for days. The backstory that she has is so far removed from who she is now and her entire conversation with the MC felt so intimate without them even touching.

5. Favorite line

I don't think I have one, actually. But I will say, sometimes I go back and read passages and giggle to myself because there are things that I wrote that I don't even remember writing. So it's all new to me.

6. Favorite side character and why

Caliban. Hands down, Caliban. He is my everything. He is the voice that is manic inside my own head. He is my comfort character. He is my go to when I need a good NPC that will provide depth to any scene he is in. I play him in Dnd and he was one of those characters that the second he started talking, I just couldn't get him to stop.

Preface: Jake and MC break up when things don't work out well between them but MC hides the fact that she still loves Jake and is holding herself out from every guy. Just when she hears about Jake getting involved with a new hacker girl from his circle, she flips her switch.

"You wanna dance?", I ask the guy before me. He's been hitting on me ever since I walked in this pub. The fact that I didn't pay attention from the beginning was not because he was ugly, but because I was holding out myself for someone. Lies, lies, lies.

"Hell yes I wanna dance", he grins at me and takes my hand to the dance floor. It's a latino song so I can't understand much what it says but man the beats, I'll be lying if I say I didn't dance on my own accord. I have my back towards him and dance, his hands wandering up and down on my side curves. Feels good being hot, doesn't it?

I find Jessy looking at me with her eyebrow crooked up, trying to figure out who that is. I give her a wink and slide my hands slowly over my body, making the dummy dancing with me pumped up. He lets out a little laugh.

"What song is this?", I shout at the top of my lungs since the music is blasting in here and I can't hear shit.

"Oh, it's Mi Necesita. Haven't you heard it? It's quite a popular song", he replies back in my ear.

"Ah, cool", I reply back in boredom. This guy is boring as fuck like dude, make some interesting conversation or something? I legit feel my fun vibe getting sucked out of me. Argh.

He's about to say something when the DJ interrupts in. "The following song is a request by", he pauses for a second, "by our friend, Jake for his little girlie MC. Well MC, if I were you, I'd leave any man for this hot a guy, Haha. Everybody, give it up for Jake!!" and plays Disturbia by Rihanna but with reverberations and sped up effects.

I jerk my head towards Jessy who looks back at me with equal surprise. I move forward towards her but suddenly I'm stopped and found the guy I was dancing with holding onto my wrist.

"Huh? What do you want?", I ask him in bewilderment, my brows frowning at him. "I seriously DO NOT have time for you right now" and try to free my wrist but his iron clad says no.

"Come on baby, we just started here", he returns a douchy smirk and pulls me via my wrist towards himself. He traps me with his arms around me so I try to push him away with my hands on his chest.

"Get off of me, ew", I try to get him off of me. I try to find Jessy behind him, but she's no where. WHERE THE FUCK DID YOU GO JESSY?

"You won't ew when I fill you in", he quips back and moves closer to me. No no no, I need to get him off of me.

"Jake-", I speak in my little voice and before I could even finish his name, someone comes behind me and pulls me towards me. "Wha-"

"You wouldn't want to touch her if you wish to stay alive", he declares flatly. I look towards this person and find a guy in a black mask and ruffled hair looking towards me. If this isn't Jake then I don't know who is. He grew some serious muscles but not in a buff way, in a lean but ripped way. Though this whole shitty persona is making him completely unlikable. He's no one to own me like he did to the DJ especially after seeing someone behind my back.

He glances at me and gives me a quick smile before his hard glare sets at the asshole.

"What are you going to do huh? I can beat you without batting my eye twice", the asshat says and winks at me.

I see Jake's jawline tightening so hard, it could cut a diamond. Uh oh, I wouldn't wish to be that guy at all. Jake suddenly moves and punches the guy's eye. He howls in pain and covers his eye with his hand. "What the fuck man, WHAT THE FUCK!", he keeps screaming in pain, his sound piercing my brain through my ears.

"Didn't you say you would not bat your eyes twice? I can see one of them battling quite furiously", Jake states flatly and puts his hands in his pockets, "I told you not to mess with my woman but you did. She's mine and nobody should not dare lay more than a finger tip on her or even look her wrong. You all get that?" and declares me his to the whole place, like he already hadn't.

'Yayy", I hear towards my right and find Jessy jumping in excitement. I seriously would never get used to her constant disappearing on me. I walk towards her and pull her ear. "Ow, what was that for?"

"You ghosted when I needed you. Where the hell did you go?", I ask her, faking anger at her.

"Somebody told me that there was a person in the bathroom calling me so I went there. Now I know who that somebody is", she tips her head towards Jake, who is looking at me. I look the other way and ask Jessy if she's going come with me to my house. "Nah I'll stay with Angela, you go have fun", the damn brat snickers and gets busy.

I move towards Jake who thinks I'm approaching him. I reach where he is standing but don't stop and keep moving, heading towards the exit. I'm about to push the door open when I pause and look back at him. "Are you gonna join me this time or still planning to just be the knight in shining armour and scram away?", I taunt him and wait for his reply, tilting my head sidewards as if I'm impatient when in reality, my heart thumps hard, just longing hard for him, for an explanation that he didn't do it.

He doesn't reply and moves towards me, looking me in the eye the whole time as he confidently strides towards me. He places his hand on my back, ushering me forward. We move outside and the cool blow of the weather makes my spine shake a little. He removes his hoodie and hands it to me.

As much as I would love to refuse it, I don't wish to make myself suffer from the cold and wear it up. It covers my dress completely, appearing as if I'm only wearing a hoodie. He looks at me and approvingly nods at my appearance. Before I could call him out for the expression he just made, a cab stops in front of us and the driver pops his head out asking, "Jake?"

"Yeah", he replies in a word and opens the door for me to sit in before joining in himself. The whole ride to 'my house', hah the audacity, goes by silent. I rest the left side of my face against the cool window of the cab and shut my eyes, the whole day's exhaustion and alcohol kicking in.

I rub my eyes and find myself propped up on my favourite bean bag. I find Jake emerging out from the bathroom, wiping his hands, wearing a black wifebeater.

"Guess who decided to show up", I taunt him, averting my gaze away from his body, "Aren't you still busy? Also that new hacker girl, haven't you already fallen for her?."

"Well, maybe I was too busy being yours to fall for somebody new?", he tells me, holding my hands in his and raising them upto his lips to kiss each knuckle of mine.

"It hurt me a lot you know. Thinking how you got together with someone while I still was in love with you."

"Yeah, I could see how desperate you were to forget me that you went for losers", he scoffs and moves towards the bar in the living room, choosing a bottle to chug on. "Please for the love of god, stop stockpiling Bacardi."

I look at him, trying to form words to say something. Anything. But nothing comes out. So I take him in, how he swigs open the bottle and chugs at it like water. I also find traces of a tattoo from the little skin exposed from his back.

"You got a tattoo?"

"Hm"

"I must say, you are so good with words. A great conversationalist", I roll my eyes, frustrated from the lack of proper replies from him.

"I'm good with my hands too. Just saying."

What the-. He did not just say that! My face burns up from his response. I get up and move towards the restroom to have a shower, removing each garment as I move. First 2 steps, his hoodie, next 2 steps, my heels, next 2 steps my dress and on the door of the bathroom, both my bra and panties.

I don't have to turn back to find out that he's seeing. I KNOW that he saw the whole thing, every fucking detail of it. I turn the shower on and get in the lukewarm water, counting my fingers on how long it takes for him to burst in.

I barely make it to 5 when the door is slammed open. "Ooh that was quick."

"The only thing that would be quick this evening. Now turn around, I have to clean every part of your body where that shitcrap touched you."

I comply with his demands, of course they weren't requests, and let him clean my body. He turns off the shower and grabs the loofah, pouring the shower gel and lathering my skin. He gently goes all the way from my back to my lower legs. The feeling, oh god, it was intoxicating.

He then reached up to my thighs, making me open my legs further by tapping on my inner thighs. I did, though the moment he started moving the loofah in tiny circles, my thighs clenched back despite my attempts to keep them apart.

"Hold onto the handrail", he commands and when I do, he squats down, holding one of my inner thigh with his fingers clenching deep into the skin, while the other hand holding the loofah manages to keep the other thigh from reuniting.

"Didn't you say that you'll be cleaning the parts he touched? I don't remember him touching me here though."

"So do you want me to stop?", he crooks one of his brows at me, mockingly questioning me. "From the lack of response, I guess you do not wish for me to proceed. That's okay then, I'll get going."

"No! I mean it's not like... Argh... It's not inconvenient to me", I try to say it in the most discreet manner but fuck, he's going to make me say it.

"What do you want me to do exactly?"

"Er, um, what you were doing before."

"Say it. Come on. I don't have the whole day."

I flush up and try to speak up but oh shit, it's gonna sound like it has to. "I- I want you to, um, continue cleaning me with the, eh, loofah"

"Hm, not bad but I'm sorry, I'm bored now. Serves you right for going after other men", he fake yawns and starts towards the door.

"Okay then, I'll find someone else to do that then if you won't", I say up, fully aware of how I'm treading into dangerous territories. Uh oh, he slowly looks back at me, his eyes squinting at me. He moves up to me and pins both of my wrists to the wall, whispering, "Do that and you'll be responsible for that man's torture ridden death."

I lick my lips, tracing them seductively as I watch into his eyes with defiance. He puts one of his knees between my thighs, rubbing it in as he says, "MC, you do not wish to play this game with me, because if I get serious, you're just going to be at my mercy and I won't stop even if you beg me to."

He lets go of my wrist and pats at my cheek as he makes his away out but before he could, I turn on the shower, drenching him completely.

He lifts me up from my thighs and pins to the wall again, this time my legs crossed around him and lightly grinding against him. His fingers clench into my butt's skin, deep, making me beg for his touch. "Just do it. Please, Jake."

He fiercely pulls back my hair and grabs my chin tightly to which I end up hissing in pain. Then he slams his lips on mine, sending wild tremors along my back. I love how his insistent lips part mine's, making me quiver so hard against this lips that I moan in his mouth which drives him crazier than he already was. He slides his tongue in, fighting with my own's in our little fight for dominance. Though I'm completely aware of the fact that I lost that battle the moment he claimed his love for me a little while back.

He steps back a little without warning, making me lose my balance. I'm about to complain when he lifts off his wifebeater, pants and everything else that follows.

"Come on now, I don't wish to hear you sneeze while I make you come", he says and wraps a towel around me, lifting me up in a fireman's lift.

I try to fake my anger, squealing with sheer delight as he lifts me towards the bedroom.

Annual~ video~ game~ retrospective~~~

My goal for this year was to beat every game in my backlog from the year 2004, having already cleared out everything prior to that. I did succeed at this goal as it was set... but since then I have also added a bunch more games to my backlog, thanks to my partner and I buying up a bunch of stuff before the Wii U virtual console store closed. As a result, I'm setting the same goal again: to beat everything in my backlog from 2004 or earlier. As a subgoal, I'll try and get a head start on 2005 as well, as that year is packed for me!

In terms of numbers, I only beat 26 games this year. That's a fair bit fewer than last year's 33. I blame some of the meaty titles I tackled this year, as well as the stuff I played a lot of but can't say I'm done with. If I want to boost that number, I may decide to play more tiny indie games next year.

I went on a bit of a Fire Emblem kick this year. After doing my second playthrough of Three Houses, I still wanted more, so I tried Shadow Dragon for the first time. I'd always dismissed the game for its art style and knowing that it has a more bare bones story than other games in the series. Both of those things are true, but it ended up being such a blast to play regardless, and so interesting to see where the famous Fire Emblem permadeath mechanic began. I then went on to (re)play Fire Emblem (GBA) and Sacred Stones, and thought a lot about the pros and cons of FE's approach to permadeath and how it's changed as the series progressed, and ended up taking some notes on how I would approach it in a game of my own. And I closed off the year with a replay of Fire Emblem Echoes to top it all off!

I also went on a bit of a Zelda kick to prepare for Tears of the Kingdom. Unlike a lot of folks my age, I only got into Zelda as an adult, and there was still a lot of the series I hadn't gotten to yet. To remedy that, this year I played Minish Cap, Twilight Princess, Phantom Hourglass, and Skyward Sword. MC was charming. I loved Twilight Princess! It had such strong imagery, intense vibes, and Midna is possibly the best character in the series. Phantom Hourglass was kind of awful and I ended up dropping the game; they took the basic Wind Waker art style and then decided they didn't need to do any actual work on making the game look good. Skyward Sword was a mixed bag and ultimately feels pretty low-to-mid for the series; it's competent enough but excels at very little. And then, of course, there's Tears of the Kingdom, which I mostly loved. It's an impressively dense game with a world that feels very lived in, and it makes some smart balancing changes coming from Breath of the Wild. I wasn't too fond of the ending, though.

I went on a bit of an Etrian Odyssey kick, too. After Untold 2, I was really craving more, so I made the jump into the more traditional side of EO with EOIV. I had so much fun building my party and coming up with their personalities and backstories.

Here are some more highlights from the year:

Hades. Supergiant doesn't miss!

As a side adventure to my FE obsession, I played Dark Deity, an indie FE-like. It was quite fun early on, but became more tedious later, as well as much buggier. I eventually dropped it, but I'll be curious to see how the sequel turns out.

Voice of Cards: the Isle Dragon Roars. This game has a card-based aesthetic where you flip over cards to reveal the world map. It was great to play on the Switch touch screen, and I'll be sure to check out the other VoC games in the future.

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. I've been chipping away at this game on and off since last year. There's a lot of great stuff in here, and I can see why it's considered an early SRPG classic, but it also feels clunky and underdeveloped in places. Still, it's a Matsuno game, so it has an excellent sense of place and politics.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. My second Matsuno game of the year! Starts off strong, but eventually the story pacing slows and you run out of new abilities to learn, so I did kind of rush the ending after a while.

Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright. A much meatier game than I expected from a crossover title, this is probably one of my favourite Layton games. I do think the villain got off easy, though.

Resident Evil 2 Remake. This was my pick for Spooky Month, and it was a good one!

Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions. My third Matsuno game of the year, and the best game I played this year. I've attempted it multiple times before but always got stuck somewhere or other. I suppose I'm finally old enough to wrap my head around its mechanics, and I'm so glad. I was truly blown away and could not stop thinking about FFT for a week after beating it. That ending!!

I also continued my quests through the Yakuza series (Kiwami 2) and Higurashi (chapters 4 and 5), replayed the excellent Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy for the first time since I was a teen, and put hundreds of hours into Splatoon 3 and dozens into Theatrhythm Final Bar Line. The latter is part of why I moved FFXII and FFT up my list, so I could have greater appreciation for their soundtracks while playing TFBL.

I'm likely to go on a bit of an SMT kick again next year with SMT V, Soul Hackers 2, and/or Persona 5 Strikers. I've also been wanting to replay Fire Emblem Awakening with new context, as well as do my third run of Three Houses. Other than that, I have a lot of Wii U virtual console titles to get to now. That'll include my first forays into some classic Nintendo series like Metroid and Pikmin, so it should be a good time!

simplified chinese: tbh my personal favourite out of his 4 voices HAHAHAH also pls idk why i keep thinking of that one scene he sang chinese opera music HAHAHAHAH. the register is somewhere in the middle which was just right (perfectly balanced, as it should be). sounds a bit calm when he argues with mc in 'atmospherics' (like DUDE JUST GET MAD it sounds like i'm listening to an android omg) but he got a little condescending at the end so he still passes the vibe check!

traditional chinese: a little bit deeper than the scn dub but it's still pretty good nonetheless! very comforting, 10/10 would want to hear this kind of voice to cheer me up on a bad day.

japanese: someone said his japanese dub sounds like an old man and i cannot unhear it ever since 😭 whoever spoiled artem's japanese dub for me... i hope you won't draw an ssr anytime soon. n e ways yes i feel like the japanese dub is well-suited for the "superior at work" setting and also ticks the checkbox of "shy virgin at relationships falls in love". also has a very comforting vibe! definitely sounded annoyed(?) and mad when he argued with mc in 'atmospherics' and his va did a good job!

korean: his korean dub gives me highkey polite sunbae vibes (and i wonder why...) and the very shy but still concerned guy who would give the fl his jacket because it's too cold (100% gentleman vibes tbh). ALSO gives me borderline jumin vibes???? maybe it's just me HAHAHAHA. sounds a little too calm when he argues with mc in 'atmospherics' and kinda embodies 'the calm before the storm' vibe (but the thing is: the storm never comes).

simplified chinese: the gentleman element in his character shines the best in his scn dub!! nails the whole royalty vibe very well imo! also very asmr-able, and would be the best morning voice to wake up to omg. it's also comforting in a way that how a dad would walk his child through what the kid's done wrong and why it's wrong, and explain why the kid should apologise first.

traditional chinese: a little nasal and higher pitched than expected, which in my book doesn't tally with his overall persona, so his tcn dub is not really a favourite of mine. his va still did a good job though!

japanese: whoever casted his japanese va... you're doing god's work. very well paired and i approve 👍 his japanese dub is also comforting but in a different way from artem's (i have zero idea how to explain this properly and hopefully you get the gist of it AAA) and suits the whole psychiatrist vibe.

korean: it's a little deeper than i'd expected and if you could combine voices, he sounds like jumin and zen put together. very calming and would oddly make for a good kidnapper voice (HEAR ME OUT FIRST: yk how in kidnapping scenes, the victim is blindfolded and the kidnapper is talking really calmly about the possible things he could do to the victim? YEAH THAT) and also gives me boyfriend vibes (idk it's especially so in his 'a star in the night' ssr).

traditional chinese: has that bright undertone like his scn dub. angry luke in tcn sounds very worried which was fitting for the context of his personal story ig???

japanese: he exudes this unexplainable confidence in the japanese dub! also i am scared of angry luke in japanese the most. i wld most likely start yelling back at japanese dub luke tbh, even if he yells tatakae at me. angry japanese luke is the most intimidating out of the other dubs, would not recommend to piss off.

korean: his korean dub gives me soft boy vibes?? yk how some male leads in krdramas speak very gently to a girl they like? yeah that. also angry luke in korean sounds like the very concerned oppa you see in kdramas when the fl nearly gets into trouble but the ml manages to save her.

tried to draw some of the ideas you had :3c this one above is a drawing of Mine i did before. it’s inspired by her mc skin which is very pink, i think that’s one of the ways you’d be able to tell when she’s possessing mike because his skin will turn pink like hers and one of his pupils will also change to look like a flower/star!!

i think because for a while kari was faceless she wouldn’t have a very distinct face as a goddess? or like it’s always changing so she never looks the same because she’s like “impossible” so it’s always changing but the one thing that’s the same about her is her colors (lots of red and yellows) and that she has very intricate braiding in her hair. i also think she has like a billion hands. they don’t have to be connected to her but sort of like a biblically accurate angel she has a billion hands sort of floating around her at all times lol

YEES I LOVE FICTIONAL RELIGION/GODS THEYRE SUPER FUN TO THINK ABOUT!! on another server i liked they made Prime a god (like Prime subs on Twitch) because one of the members said it so much which i thought was really fun. Prime was like the common god/religion on that server

anyways cellbits discord!! i think it would be cool if it was like shadows? just like darkness that surrounds someone but if yiu look and listen closely enough you can hear a billion different voices and eyes watching you, especially if you’re doing puzzles then it’s way easier to spot them. they’re not able to take on many forms because there’s just so many of them as one “being” so unless they can all agree they stay as just shadows.

Only been playing Honkai Star Rail for like 3 weeks but it's already giving me many thoughts

It feels like a RWBY game???? March feels like Ruby?????? In a lot of ways???? Maybe it's just her voice I dunno?? Dan Heng is Blake??? MC is somehow a perfect combo of Weiss and Yang?????? Roll with me here pls? Belobog is literally Atlas/Mantle???? And yet I like it-

The turn-based combat and the limited movement in-game took me some getting used to but I am enjoying it (the animations are really cool and I appreciate that strategy is implemented and that I have the ability to speed up the combat if I want- it's not as tedious as I was expecting)

The characters are interesting- they're not developing much about the characters themselves but instead are kind of just throwing me in to the gameplay, which I understand (I'm still on the Belobog quest cause I don't play the game much I'm too busy with Genshin rn lol so no spoilers past basically the part where you meet Seele please)

Yes, Dan Heng is a CARBOn copy of Xiao with Kazuha's ult yes but for some reason I still like his character

Also I don't think I've ever latched on to a comfort ship quite as fast as I did with Dan Heng and March (they have the vibes, yknow? good vibes)

Gepard gives me Gorou vibes if Gorou were an introvert (lowkey think he has a crush on Stelle)

Seele is cool and I'm just patiently waiting until she comes home because I cannot finish the world quest in the Simulated Universe and beat that boss without a good Quantum character so I'm just ignoring Herta for the time being

Himeko is weird, Kafka is weird, I want Silver Wolf to come back, Arlan deserved better, Sampo is fruity Itto and I love him for it, I'm very glad they're not trying to make Pom-Pom the new Paimon

Oh yeah and I picked Caelus instead of Stelle to play as cause I like his design better. I almost never pick the male MC between a male and female choice but I liked his design better so Stelle's in the abyss wheeze
