Do you have any firstprince fanfics to recommend?
Hi and thank you again for sending me this very exciting ask!
A few things beforehand. I don’t read AU in this fandom. So my recommendations will all be canon, post-canon and a bit of canon-divergent as long as the set up is mostly the same as the canon (read or book), meaning a prince and a first son being all kind of idiot together.
Even it’s not my main focus, I read explicit and PWP as long as it has excellent characterization and excellent writing (for me, a non native with absolutely no legitimacy to judge other people’s English skill :D)
Also, I’ve only been reading rwrb fanfics for a few weeks/a couple of month so I’ll certainly recommend the most famous writers of this fandom as if they need a shout out from nobody!me (event if they really really don’t) starting with…
Anything by indomitablelove -- I’ve started with All that glitters (is not gold) and made my way through all — or almost all — their canon-compliant stories. They did something I absolutely love is that all — or almost all — their canon-compliant stories are set in the same universe they’ve created with their first main story so you have little references everywhere and it really creates something really immersive. I haven’t read their AU stories but if you’re into that yourself, I recommend you doing so because they’re probably equally good. There is also a companion fic to all that glitters that is written from Henry’s POV that I haven’t read it yet — ‘cause I feel more like reading new stories as the moment — but I’m sure it’s as delightful as the main story.
In the same vibe, I’ve just finished reading A love Letter to love by soshesighs. Missing scenes and post canon stories, all set in the same universe that I liked very much. A lot of respect for the character and the original story. I’ve also read their other (canon-compliant) stories and I recommend them as well.
A bit different is Event if it’s just Pretend by nontoxic -- I wasn’t overly on board with the plot at first but I got on board pretty quickly. It’s well written and one of the chapter of the fic is one of the most emotional and beautiful thing I’ve read recently.
To continue with the "I wasn’t sure about the plot at start but a few lines in and I was hooked" idea is Doughnuts and Dinner Rolls by mansikka. 30K words of fluffy fluff (that is never cringy) and beautiful deliciousness. My next reads will be all of their other stories, most likely.
If you’re in a PWP mood, you can browse through the Kinktober 2023 collection by Mags (sparklepocalypse). There is (quite literally) something for every taste so feel free to explore if it’s your thing :)
Oblivion by milowren. Probably one of the most canon-divergent thing I’ve read so far. I kind of wish it has been longer but it was a good read.
Same vibe (with the plot and the wish that it was a bit longer) : hours by demigodbeautiies.
[WIP] what kind of day has it been? By Evelinafelicia. Not much to say since we’re 8/25 chapters but I’m enjoying what I’m reading so far so it’s obviously bookmarked not to miss any update.
Same vibe as above (I like the idea and I like the start) [WIP] Designated Survivor by Beck17. Based on the TV Show with a good writing, so already waiting for the next update :)
… and that’s all I have for now, since my readings and bookmarks aren’t organized AT ALL. I’ll probably be reblogging this post with new recs since I’ll probably keep exploring and reading for a while.
Hope you’ll find interesting stuff in my list and happy readings 💜

hello, its ria!
i was reading your fanfic, delicate [chapter four, to be precise] and i juist couldnt hold it in any longer; your writing is amazing!
do you have any writing tips for me? my writing is just... it doesnt feel like a stroy; more like a university essay. i would love to know how\when you started writing!
i love your art, too! its very playful, and makes me smile so much that my cheeks hurt!
with appreciation,
paria gasemi [AKA greek girl]
xoxo
hello!!
i’m glad you like my fanfic, it means so much to me!!
i don’t think i’m the most qualified person to give advice about writing, considering that english isn’t my first language and that i’m not a writer, but i hope i’ll be helpful!
delicate is my first fic and my first attempt at writing a *long* story so i’m not really experienced, but since i’ve consumed a lot of fanfiction i could pick before writing a few things i liked from the stories i’ve read: the fics that i enjoy reading the most aren’t too long, too angsty or too cheesy, and i wanted my fic to be just like that.
i think character study could help you a lot: ever-changing dynamics between characters keep the story intriguing, and knowing their personalities well can help you create some interesting situations (misunderstandings and fights, but also improbable friendships or alliances…) that are all entertaining to read (at least for me)
writing in an ‘essay-ish’ style isn’t necessarily a problem, in fact it could help exploring certain points more clearly, but i think those ‘static’ paragraphs should be interchanged with ‘action’ paragraphs or dialogue (…speaking of which, if you’re having a hard time making it feel realistic, reading it out loud should help.)
anyways, fanfiction should be something fun to write before it is to read, and since you don’t have to write a masterpiece (or a perfect mark essay), you can indulge yourself with all the cheesiest clichés, if that’s what you like. it doesn’t matter if they sound cringy, they’re fun to write and fun to read, and that’s all that matters.
and thank you for all the compliments!! knowing my drawings put a smile on your face makes my day better <3
love,
nothing (who wants to visit greece asap, you’re lucky af girl!!)

Just wanna clear up some things regarding my ongoing smau.
I’ve noticed that some people are confused about the magiwagi twitter account. This one is mostly for people who don’t read entire tumblr posts (me). The magiwagi twitter account is y/n’s, if you didn’t see that i promise it’s okay cause i don’t be reading into stuff either. Yes the name may seem feminine but i didn’t mean to do that. Yes it is a gender neutral smau, but as y/n is a model and youtuber, that is “readers” youtube name. And in all honesty i was thinking about Maki Zenin when i made the username so i made the k into a g
About the side ships. I don’t have any other ships besides the main one rn for the smau (scaramouche x gn reader) because i don’t really like ships that fandoms make. I don’t wanna be disrespectful to other peoples ships so i just don’t do them. I’m sorry if you want to see a side ship, i’ll see what i can do.
I deeply apologize for how this smau started off. I’m soooo sorry. As this is my first one i was using inspirations and all the smau’s that i was reading was reallyyyy weird and goofy and just really cringy. I wanted people to actually read mine and like it until i realized that people didn’t really like those episodes so i decided to go back to being normal. I feel like redoing those episodes but i’m lazy.
back to this being my first smau i make mistakes and i don’t really know what i’m doing, i’m just doing it. If you notice any mistakes feel free to comment and let me know! :) I also don’t reread them before i post them because i’m… lazy. I’ll get better in the future hope you will still be with me by then.
I don’t have a posting schedule and if you notice i’ve gone missing, nothing is wrong and i have nothing important going on in my life i’m just lazy.
A question i get a lot (i don’t) “as a genshin fanfic writer who is your favorite genshin male or female?” This girl is a kazuha lover. I’m so glad yall actually care. (nb asked me this)
Also i’m very sorry for my grammar mistakes i’m not english (i’m lying, born and raised american i’m just lazy and don’t care about my grammar unless it has something to do with getting a good grade in school. I probably need to work on that.) Anyway feel free to ask me anymore questions! thank you sm for the support i love you all!!!
Btw i have no idea what smau means 😁

Altaïr ❤️ Reader Preference - How do You meet Him
I don't know what to post, so I decided to post here my kinda old Altaïr x Reader fanfic from Wattpad. ☺️
I want to point out that my English is very bad and there are probably some grammatical errors + it’s gonna be cringy. Sorry about that 😅
Anyway I hope you enjoy this 💕
As a Novice/Assassin:
[Name] joined the Levantine Brotherhood of Assassins as one of the new novices under the leadership of Mentor Al Mualim. She stood among other novices and listened to instructions from her teacher named Rauf.
He said everyone created pairs for training, but [Name] remained alone. Fortunately Rauf saw Master Assassin, who came out of the castle and asked him for help: "Altaïr, one of my students don't have anyone to do a pair and then it's hard for them to train. Maybe you could help."
Altaïr rolled his eyes and sighed: "Fine but better quick." Great Master Assassin had to be with little Novice, but he agreed. Rauf told him that he can go to training ring first to not be waiting for others novices. Young assassin took a wooden sword, jumped the fence and waited for an opponent.
"[Name], go," Rauf ordered her, "Wait what?" she confused, "Altaïr will be your training partner for now as you don't have a pair." She with hesitation took the wooden sword into the hands, shed the fence and prepared for a duel. 'Wait? That novice is a girl!? And she will fight me? Rauf, you are a madman!' Altaïr thought shocked. He trained novices many times, but they were only boys, but he never trained the girl. He was worried that he can hurt her as he was stronger and more experienced than she.
"Fight!" Rauf brought. [Name] struck as first, but Altaïr parried her attack. She didn't stop attacking and he still resisted. 'Damn, she/he is good,' both thought. After 15 minutes, Altaïr struck into her stomach and she fell on the ground. "That, my students... That's how to we fight," Rauf said. Altaïr gave hand to [Name] and helped her to stand up.
"You fought well," Altaïr complimented her quietly, "You still need to learn, but you fought better than other novices against which I fought." [Name] blushed and hid her face under hood shyly. Altaïr noticed it and quietly laughed, "I have to go... Safety and peace, [Name]," he said with a small smile and left the castle. [Name] considered whether she will talk to him next time...
In a Modern Day AU:
Note: Altaïr and Desmond are both cousins in Modern AU.
Desmond and [Name] have been best friends since high school and worked together at the bar after graduation. [Name] worked as a waitress and Desmond as a bartender. One rainy evening the bar was full of customers and both were working full time.
They're taking a break right now, "Shit, I'm tired," Desmond sighed, sipping his drink. "Same, dude. I would like to go home," [Name] said bored. At that moment, a young man in a white hoodie with a hood up and gray pants entered the bar. He stepped inside and sat down next to [Name].
"Good evening, what are you asking for?" Desmond greeted him wearily, "One glass of beer." Desmond took the glass, poured it, and handed it to him. Man in the white hoodie looked at the cup and shouted: "You idiot! That's a cola!" "I know, cousin!" Desmond laughed. "Wait, Desmond? Is he one of your cousins?" [Name] asked in surprise, "Yeah! This is Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad or else the most annoyed one!"
"Shut up, Desmond! You get on my nerves just like Malik!" Altaïr said annoyed and Desmond just laughed. "Altaïr! Meet [First Name] [Last Name], my best friend from high school. Which I told you about last time." [Name] smiled and shook hands with Altaïr: "Nice to meet you! I've heard a lot about you from Desmond." Altaïr showed no emotion, but he shook her hand back, "Nice meet you, too," he whispered.
Then [Name] continued to work, while Desmond spoke to Altaïr: "You're kind of gloomy. What's bothering you?" he asked him seriously as he wiped glasses with a towel. "You know..." Altaïr sighed, "My father told me that it's time to take care of myself and find a job. I refused, because of that we had an argument and then he threw me out of the house." "Oh, I'm sorry about that... If you want, you can stay in my house as long as you want." "Thanks, Desmond."
Suddenly Altaïr looked behind him and saw one of the drunk customers harassing [Name]. She felt very uncomfortable with him and couldn't run away because he held her hands tightly. Altaïr frowned, stood up and came to them, "Let her go! Can't you see she's not feeling comfortable because you!?" he shouted furiously, "What the fuck do you care? We just want to have fun!" "Only you, not her... Let her go now..." Altair growled, "And what do you do if I refuse?" the drunken guy laughed.
Altair's patience passed and punched into guy's nose. As a result, [Name] freed herself from his grip and hid behind Altaïr. "Ow! Son of bitch! Do you want to fight for her!?" "I guess I have no choice..." The drunken guy stood up and they both prepared for a fist fight. The crowd was cheering them to it. The first attacked drunken guy, but didn't hit Altaïr and got another blow to the eye from him. Altaïr's strike was so strong that his opponent has a monocle. He ended the duel with headbutt to forehead and stunned him.
"[Name], go home right now. I think that shit will soon be bad," Desmond said worriedly, "And what about you?" "Don't worry, I can handle it. I already experienced worse." [Name] nodded. "I take her home, cousin," Altaïr decided and both went out of the bar. They went to the car and Altaïr drove away. "Where do you live?" He asked her calmly, "At the end of the city..." she responded quietly. After a few minutes he stopped in front of her house, [Name] stepped out of his car. "So... Thank you for taking me home and for saving me, of course," she smiled slightly, "No problem. No woman like you shouldn't be treated that horrible."
"Don't you want to go in?" "That's kind of you, but I must reject it. Even though I just heard a lot about you from Desmond, we both are still strangers." "Well until today. We are acquaintances now," [Name] giggled, "I hope to see you again, Altaïr." "Maybe... So... I wish you a nice evening, [Name]." "You, too. Good night..." They were both parted, Altaïr drove away and [Name] went home.

Hey Seraphina! I really hope you’re doing well. I have been following you and your stories for years now and I just started to reread Quietus for the 100th and seriously I don’t think I will ever get over it, it’s just so good. Not only Quietus but all of your other stories. They’re like my comfort food. You have ruined all Naruto characters for me (in a good way) and every time I rewatch the series I can’t help but think of them as Greek gods ;). I was scrolling through your feed and saw a post where you expressed that as a writer sometimes you tend to be insecure about some of your writing. Honestly I would have never thought that you would feel that way since your writing is one of the best I have ever read and trust me I have read a lot and I just cannot comprehend how you’re not a published writer yet. You’ve got a very loyal fanbase and just like me there are so many that have been fans for years. Like in our eyes you can’t do no wrong. You’re actually a very talented writer and know how to develop the plot and not just depend on some cringy cliches. You always manage to take me in a whole another world every time I read your stories and can only imagine the thoughts and the hard work you put in this especially as grown adult with a job. The fact that Quietus and Angelus Mortis are just fanfics but are still better than 100s of „Bestsellers“ published books like….And YES girl we want all of your oneshots BACK, hell you can just write about your morning routine and we will read it and eat that sh** up and we will also get it nominated for the story of the year 😂. You can never do wrong with your writing. Seriously don’t doubt yourself this much.
Have a great week and take care of yourself. Also sorry for any grammar mistakes, English isn’t my first language.
Greetings from Germany!
Hi, Anon. First, I apologise for taking so long to reply to your message. I've needed to distance myself from anything Quietus/writing-related for the last few months, and I wasn't in the right headspace to respond to this before.
I appreciate your kind words of support. I think, regardless of what anyone says about it, I'll always be insecure over my writing. That's just the nature of writing, to be highly critical of your own work. You either tend to hate on everything, or think it's half-decent at the time of posting - only to hate it and question what you were thinking immediately afterwards. I'm sure other writers can relate to the constant internal war that goes on when writing anything.
My writing is very far from any kind of perfect, and I'm not a professional by any means, so it's always an honour to read that anyone might hold such a high opinion of my humble work. Thank you for your message, and for taking the time to send it.

Stray puppy
Kang Younghyun x g/n reader
Word count: 0.8k
Genre: Fluff
Warning: cringy babytalk, awkward conversations
Author note: finally done with this! The writing is probably bad since English isn't my 1st language but I hope it's cute. Also this is my first fanfic where I'm writing y/n as a 2nd person instead of 3rd person, so feedback about my writing would be appreciated.

Younghyun thanked the barista for his iced Americano before paying and left the counter heading towards the door. He took a few sips as the cold breeze hit his face while walking to the JYP building. Winter was coming and he was embracing the change. Just as he was about to pass the alleyway in his route he heard a voice. Someone was baby-talking and cooing. He scrunched up his face hearing some of the things being said before smiling.
"Aww look at you, I knew you were hungry-wungry, sorry I came a bit late. That old lady at the cafe was extra cranky at me today for messing up the coffee orders earlier, but it's okay. As long as you have some food in your tummy it's alright."
He turned to inspect the alley and found you in the apron of the cafe he just visited, kneeling down on the ground next to a roughened up pup, happily wagging her tail while eating what seemed to be some leftovers from the cafe. Younghyun walked closer, his footsteps prompted you to look up, wide eyed at recognition. He knows you, you were the cute barista he had seen working at the cafe and you took his orders a couple of times.
“Oh, hi there” you said timidly as you rose to your feet, staring at Younghyun a bit stunned to see him there. The truth is, you have always had a crush on Younghyun from afar, and even took his orders to know his name. “Hello uhm Y/N” Younghyun greeted you awkwardly as he glanced at your name tag. "Yeah that's me" you replied, fidgeting with your hands not knowing what to do next. "Younghyun, right?" You asked to fill the awkward silence and he nodded with a smile as confirmation.
The puppy, noticing Younghyun, ran up to him wagging her tail, barking up at him and jumping around for attention. "Well hello there little guy" he cooed and kneeled down to the ground, placing his coffee cup next to him as he reached out to pet the pup. You were still standing as you were, looking at the pair a bit too fondly for having just met properly. Younghyun looked up at you, “Do you take care of him often?” he asked, tilting his head looking at you. “Well it’s a she, and yeah at least once a day after my shift at the cafe.” you stated as casually as you could as you kept fidgeting. Younghyun nodded thoughtfully and picked up the puppy in his hands, the pup seemed surprisingly clm with the situation. “Wouldn’t it be better to take her in as your own dog? I mean by the looks of it the pup is an orphan and the streets are pretty dangerous for her.” he asked while he looked at her, he got up on his feet and looked at you. Your shoulders slumped at that thought. Heck, even you knew that, but living in a rented studio with a shitty landlord, even imagining taking care of a pet on low wage was difficult. “As much as I’d like to do that though, my landlord is kind of a douche when it comes to pets, also I don’t think I can afford to keep one full time”.
Younghyun frowned at the thought of that, but suddenly came up with an idea. “What if I adopt her? That way she can be safe and get some proper care she needed” he spoke excitedly and that had you dumbfounded. It did make you happy that he would offer that, but also sad that you would not see the puppy again. Younghyun noticed your silence and added, “you can come over at my place to visit sometimes”. Now this really shocked you “What??” you spoke up with a higher pitch in your voice, to which Younghyun raised the puppy in between you two and said “The puppy, you can come over to visit the puppy”. The puppy barked as if in agreement. “Oh, that, yeah that sounds great” you said with an awkward chuckle. “Great, is it okay if we exchanged numbers for this? Only if you’re comfortable” he asked, shifting the puppy into his other hand to retrieve his phone. "Uh yeah sure I guess" you hesitated a bit but gave in considering this is the best excuse you will ever get to get his number.
"Well, I'll see you around Y/N" he said, raising the puppy like a toast and picking his cup up from the ground. "I'll see you too, Younghyun." you spoke as you lightly waved your hand as he left. Younghyun changed his route and headed towards the dorm to drop off the pup with his bandmates, and a smile grew on his face thinking about you.

You sure do write amazing! Can you please give me some tips on how to write better?
Thanks!
Hi!
First of all, thank you, it means a lot! 🥰
Second of all thank you for the ask. This is my first one so I hope I am doing this properly.
Third of all READ. I would say everything but it's too broad. Read what you're writing. If you're writing fanfic read those. I have learned so much from reading other stories. Also, try and find your own style...if you think it sounds hard it is. I needed years. I was always writing in third person POV and I always felt like something was missing. I find something magical in the fact that you can read a story from first person POV, because you feel like you get to know them better and that you are friends and build a relationship with a character.
I read a few books (Divergent trilogy among them) with first-person POV and I was hooked. It's okay to love someone's writing or their style but while reading them think of WHY you love their style so much and try to implement those characteristics into your writing. Don't worry about sounding similar to someone else. You won't. Each writer's style is unique and at first, it might seem like copying but you will soon develop your own style which will be your own. Copying is learning but do give credit where needed. Also, don't be afraid to experiment with different styles. Nothing you write is wrong. If you keep saying to yourself that your writing can't be right because nobody else is doing it, meaning it isn't following the rules it means you created something entirely yours and I think that is BEAUTIFUL and smart not wrong.
Try to think about what is the most important thing you want to point out in your story. To me, I don't like to read long descriptions of how people and places look like. To me, it's redundant because I have a crazy imagination and I love to create all of that for the characters myself and I like the liberty that I think how a character I am reading about looks like. Think about what is important to you when you write. To me, it's relationships between characters and I tend to focus on that the most.
When it comes to vocabulary I can't be of much help. I suck at it. I am not a native English speaker and finding synonyms or describing a gesture or how a character's expression looks like I struggle every time and it takes the most of my time to do that. It helps to have websites that can help you find these. I have a dictionary for words that I want to translate from my native language. And I have Google always opened to search for word definitions and I saw someone post a website here on Tumblr which has honestly been a lifesaver: onelook.com/thesaurus
Also, one thing that I have noticed helps me a lot is that I write without stopping as much as possible so that the story stays on the original idea line as much as it possibly can. So if you sit down to write a chapter, just do it...no distractions. Don't write a paragraph and go on your phone and then return. Stick to it, it will be better trust me: learn from my mistakes. (Of course, if you have a heavy, emotion-filled chapter like someone dying and you cry while writing...then please do take a break. I needed a week to write Chapter 6 and 7 of Part 8 of the story I am posting now because I was a crying mess and I simply couldn't break my heart more than I did per day). Then I read it and change what I want quickly. Then I run it through Grammarly then I reread it a few more times. Within these times I mark the words or paragraphs which should have different words for what I am describing or where I feel something is missing. I come back to those parts and try searching for different words or instances that can relate to what I have written down.
I also triple-check that I don't have words that repeat. So if I had said said said a few times I will skip it and indicate who is speaking with a gesture they do while saying something. That helps me a lot because I like to repeat words I like a lot!
One thing that I learned is that it doesn't matter how you write as long as you enjoy it. If you write a chapter and you read through it and it makes you smile you have won no matter how it looks in the first draft. Learning to love everything you write is so important and until I had that I thought that my writing sucks and I will never get anywhere.
And yes, I will say it: JUST WRITE MORE. I know it's the biggest cliché but it's true. Also, be patient with yourself and give yourself credit. I always thought that I will never get any better and will always be stuck at the level of writing I have but if I read something I wrote like 7 years ago...even like a year ago, the difference is HUGE and it makes me proud and you should do that as well. Read that cringy story you wrote years ago because it gives a confidence boost when you compare it to your writing now and you see how much you progressed.
ALSO, one thing that helped me a lot and I wish I was doing this sooner (as I just started with the story I am posting now): when you're reading ANYTHING and you find a word or a phrase that intrigues you and you think you could use it at any time in your stories WRITE IT DOWN. If you don't know the meaning write the meaning next to it too. If you have examples where you could use it (your ideas) write that next to it. It has saved me so many times with the story I finished a few weeks ago (and will post it after the ongoing one is finished) because sometimes I see a character doing a gesture or making a certain face in my head and I struggle to describe what I see in my head and having phrases that I read elsewhere written down is so helpful because more you read and you get different ideas how to describe the same thing it's so nice when you find just the right one!
One of the last tips as this is getting too long (I don't know how to describe something in a short sentence): when you get an idea for a story don't just sit down and start writing the first chapter because (and I am talking from my own experience) sooner or later you will get lost, you will get the information wrong and it's just harder for you. What I tend to do is write down all the names of the main characters and write at least 3 things that stand out for them and you might use more than once in your story. For example, if a character gets a gift from someone; write it down WHEN AND WHAT AND FROM WHO. Because if you mention that gift again 20 chapters later you will get frustrated because you won't find that little detail that suddenly became so important and if you have notes and you can find it at once it makes things easier. I also write down chapter summaries. I know it might be hard to know exactly how many chapters you will have (it usually changes for me anyway: for example, the story I will post soon went from the original 10 to 20 chapters because the chapters were just too long and I needed to separate them) or to know at once how the story ends but it makes things 10 times easier and once you start writing chapters down the story just starts to flow and appear in front of you and knowing what you will write about next makes you more focused on the chapter at hand and everything seems more connected and you don't have gaps in your story and inconsistencies. At least for me, it's really easy because I like to push myself to write a chapter per day and I just take my notebook and check what I have to write for that day and then it's suddenly easier because I can just focus on writing the chapter instead of thinking of what to do next.
Of course, all that I just wrote is just an opinion. You should write as you see fit! Don't let anyone tell you that you CAN'T do this or that. It's YOUR writing. YOUR story. You can do whatever you want and write it in the way YOU want. Don't write by the rule book. Write in a way that will make you happy. I have to admit I needed a long time to learn that as I always wanted to follow the rules but I was unhappy and I didn't like what I wrote and I put that on myself thinking my writing is bad when it was just the fact that the style and the rules around it weren't my cup of tea.
Also if you have someone who can read through what you've written and you trust them; give them your story or chapters before you publish them because every story through someone else's eyes is better already. Also, don't be afraid of feedback and criticism. I have never learned more from anything else than criticism. And always take it as positive; a way to better your story and writing. But also know that you don't always have to apply everything someone tells you to do. If you are content with how it is, leave it. Perhaps remember the critique and maybe you'll be able to apply it to a different story. That's how you grow.
Push yourself to write as much as you can. Even if it's a paragraph per day it's something. And most importantly write what you like not what everyone else is doing. If you want to write 30 fics about the same character then do so as long as it brings you joy and makes you happy because no matter how cheesy it sounds it does show in your writing. ❤
I hope I answered your question at least to some degree. I am sorry it's so long I don't know how to write short stuff 🙈
If you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them 🥰

Nationality: British Languages: English, Spanish, Dutch (learning), limited Mandarin Star Sign: Aries MBTI: INFP-T Favorite color: Red Favorite food: Pasta or cheesecake Favorite movie: Coyote Ugly Favorite ice cream flavor: Strawberry Favorite animal: Red panda Go-to karaoke song: Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
What fandom(s) do you write for? Ateez, Nct (ot21), The Boyz, and now Stray Kids
When did you post your first piece? My first writing blog work was posted February 1st 2019 (Quenched - Yeosang)
Do you write fluff/angst/crack/general/smut, combo, etc? Why? Generally fluff and angst, sometimes a combo, though I have tried writing some crack more recently. I'm just more familiar with fluff and angst and it's easier to pull off
Do you write OCs, X Readers, Ships...etc? I mostly write x reader stuff. I have written with OCs and ships but I prefer to read and write x reader stuff so I stuck with that
Why did you decide to write for Tumblr? My Ateez writing blog was my first writing blog, but I did write a couple of stuff before that. I think it's just a case of "I have this really cool idea and I want to share it with my friends"
What inspires you to write? Just about anything - conversations with friends, Tumblr posts, my weird dreams etc.
What genres/AUs do you enjoy writing the most? I've really enjoyed writing prince aus (like my Xiaojun prince au) as well as getting into writing fantasy and crack stuff. I still feel most confident with angst though
What do you hope your readers take away from your work? I simply hope they enjoy it. It would be great if I could make them smile or cry with my writing
What do you do when you hit a rough spot creatively? I just take a step back. I don't force myself to write if nothing's coming to me. Sometimes I talk through what I'm writing with a friend and it helps give me some ideas. But generally, I try not to force it
What is your favorite work and why? Your most successful? My favourite work, excluding my wips, is probably 'Dear First Love' because it's the longest thing I've ever written and I think the storyline is really cute. My most successful is 'Hugging Ateez'
Do you think there’s a difference between writing fanfiction vs. completely original prose? I mean yes? To some degree. In terms of the process I guess not, but original prose is less likely to include famous people (real or fictional) so it's different in that respect
What do you think makes a good story? A good story, to me, is one where the reader is invested in the story. If the reader doesn't care about the characters and what happens to them, then to me, it's not a good story
What is your writing process like? I get an idea, write down the basic idea, then build around that, laying out the plot and all its twists and turns and fleshing out my characters. Once I've got a good idea of what I'm doing, I'll start writing. When I'm organised, anyway. Otherwise I just see where my writing takes me!
Would you ever repurpose a fic into a completely original story? Absolutely! If there was a fic that I was really proud of and wanted to turn it into an original story, I'd go for it
What tropes do you love, and what tropes can’t you stand? I'm a sucker for pretty much any trope as long as it's legal and not toxic. I really love 'found family' and the classic 'friends to lovers' tropes. I'm not sure if these are tropes, but I'm not really into mpreg or body swapping. You do you, writers, but it's just not for me
How much would you say audience feedback/engagement means to you? A lot! Even one reblog or comment puts a smile on my face and makes me proud of what I've made
Coffee or tea? What are you ordering? Tea! I have regular tea with some milk and a couple of sugars
Dream job (whether you have a job or not)? At the moment, it's to be a florist, although I'd really love to be a successful author
If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?  The power to control plants so maybe mine won't die on me anymore
If you could visit a historical era, which would you choose? Either the Victorian or Georgian/regency era
If you were a trope in a teen high school movie, what would you have been? Probably the nerd/teacher's pet?
Do you believe in aliens/supernatural creatures?  Some of them yes (e.g ghosts), some of them no (e.g. vampires)
Do you think fanfic writers get unfairly judged? I do. Especially by those who don't read/write fanfiction. A lot of people think we're 'cringy' or that we make things gross. There's definitely some gross fanfics out there, but I don't think fanfic writers as a whole should be judged by one questionable fanfic someone read once
Do you think art can be a medium for change? Yes, all kinds of art can. There's a lot of literature and art now that picks apart problems in our society and challenges them. It's already lead to some change in the way people think about certain things
Do you ever feel there are times when you’re writing for others, rather than yourself? I used to back when I wrote requests on another site. I'd sit there and churn out request after request after request like a robot until I started to hate writing and had to take a break for a while. Now, I just write what inspires me. I'll take a few requests but no way am I ever going back to the way I wrote before
Do your offline friends/loved ones know you write for Tumblr? I imagine my university flatmates have probably seen me reblogging my writing at least once, so yes. As for my family, I don't think they know what Tumblr even is (thankfully!)
What is one thing you wish you could tell your followers? This is really simple but… I love you and thank you for supporting me!
Do you have any advice for aspiring writers who might be too scared to put themselves out there? I know it's super scary putting out writing for others to see, but really, some leaps are worth it. You'll never really know how something will go if you never try. Maybe you could start off with small steps, like sharing a piece of writing with a couple of friends if you don't feel confident jumping straight in
Are there any times when you regret joining Tumblr? Sometimes, if there's drama in a fandom or fanwars going on, but I generally try to stay away from it and just enjoy the lighthearted content
Do you have any mutuals who have been particularly formative/supportive in your Tumblr journey? Yes, in one way or another. Some of them have helped me with my writing ideas, whilst others have been a rock for me emotionally, and many have played both roles. To name a handful of people, @linothot, @silverstonemanor and @wangjyunhao amongst many others have really helped me 💛

Dear whoever-is-reading-this,
I am Azalea Leila Dewson and I write fanfiction! I write things like Harry Potter stories, real-life celebrity love stories and occasionally an ____ x reader. (Just so you know, I mainly write love stories).
Since you are (might be) going to read my fanfics, you might as well know a bit about me first. Or, if you have already read some of them, you might as well learn a bit about the person who wrote that story you just read. I’m currently 17 years old, working as a part-time babysitter (more like nursery maid) in Edinburgh, Scotland. I’d like to say I’m a native English speaker, but I’m not sure if that’s true. I love music and books, and I tend to listen to songs on Spotify every time I write. I’m not a very experienced writer, so I hope you’ll excuse me if you find anything I write peculiar and/or cringy!
Anyways, I hope you enjoy my fanfiction-writing!
Love,
Azalea Leila xox

my grayza story (and a love letter to the creators of the grayza fanzine)
High on coffee, bleary-eyed, I had been in the middle of studying for my college finals last night when I casually reached over for my phone, just to check my notifications, and instantly got hit in the face with this: “[PDF] GrayZa Zine”
(Warning: long and emotional rant down below.)
My heart jumped in my mouth, my palms began to sweat, and with a slightly shaky thumb, I pressed on the notification. Now, you may find this to be a bit of an overreaction, but listen- I have been in the Fairy Tail fandom since 2010, and I left the fandom about 7 years ago (wow I feel old), not bothering to continue reading the manga after 400-ish chapters since I quickly realized what a clusterfuck the whole series had become and how OOC my faves were becoming (coughgraycough). Fairy Tail was the first anime I got seriously hooked on (besides Maid Sama). It started my weeb phase.
It also happens to be the anime that slam-dunked me into shipping hell.
Grayza is the name of that particular hell.
I remember when I first fell in love with Grayza: it was during the Phantom Lord arc, when Erza rested her head on Gray’s chest (you all know what I’m talking about). And then Tower of Heaven happened, as well as Gray’s “I’m taking Erza back! She belongs with Fairy Tail!”. I was a wee lass, and my feelings for this ship were intense. I didn't even know that shipping as a concept existed back then, but I was doing it already- I drew tons and tons of fanart; I babbled to my brother about how beautiful their chemistry was, until he became sick and couldn't stand me anymore; boxes upon boxes of fanart are still piled high in my room, tucked away in a corner. Now that I look at them, they’re cringy, childish, silly, cheesy comics and much much more, but it was all a labor of love.
Then, I stumbled upon this marvellous site called FanFiction.net. This is where I read my first Grayza fanfic. It was Warm Ice Melting Armour -one of my favorite Grayza fanfics even to this day- by the talented Irrevocable SaaSha. To this day, the first paragraph of that fic is branded in my mind: “She was curled up on the couch like a cat in front of the fireplace, the firelight reflected like liquid honey in her golden brown eyes, red hair spread out around her, like she was lying on a bed of scarlet fire. She was beautiful.”
I was in awe of the writing, starstruck even. I thought it was the most beautiful description I’d ever read. I still think so, even to this day.
And that’s when I decided- I wanted to write like that too.
So Grayza got me into reading and writing fanfiction. And reading and writing in general. English is not my first language, so I struggled. But it was a happy struggle, an endeavour I did not mind making. My first and second Grayza fics were totally abominable, but I was just a kid, eagerly playing around with these two dorks on paper with not a care in the world. I would lie awake in bed in the wee hours of the night, flashlight in one hand and a pen in the other, furiously scribbling away on a tiny notebook, and when I ran out of pages but felt too lazy to get out of bed, I would just write over my doodles.
It was a good time.
Again, my fics were totally shit (so much so that I deleted them many years ago out of embarrassment- a decision which I now regret; I wish I’d kept them up, for nostalgia’s sake), but everyone who reviewed was kind, friendly, encouraging. I talked to other writers, who were a thousand times more talented than little ol’ me but still so cheerful and humble. I badgered them by sending them PM’s asking for writing tips; I sent the daily readers of my fics little sneak peeks of the future chapters in their inboxes; I joined roleplay forums (always choosing Erza). Every once in a while a reader would PM me to tell me how much they loved my fic, how certain chapters made them laugh out loud, and that would melt my heart.
I received my first hate comment from a Gruvia shipper, and I relished it.
So basically, Grayza introduced me to fandom.
I loved this ship with every fibre of my being. I still do. It’s my first OTP.
Then Mashima fucked everything up.
Juvia and Jellal got introduced. Gray and Erza’s interactions began to dwindle. I never hoped for my ship to be canon, but Mashima even forgot about their friendship, and that hurt. A lot. I actually like Jellal, and even ship Jerza on the side (just not as passionately as Grayza), but Juvia I did not like at all. I couldn't fathom why the majority of the fandom would ship Gray with her. It baffles me to this day.
And then it became canon.
Well, as canon as Mashima can make a ship, that is. By the time the last chapter came out, I was over Fairy Tail. I had moved on to better things, better media. But being the masochist I am, I still read the chapter (spoiler alert: it was shit). To calm myself and soothe my wounded heart, I went over to FanFiction.net -now a barren wasteland with old fics lazily drifting like tumbleweed and only a small number of new fics trying to emerge through the cracks in the ground- and read an old favorite of mine.
It was like a soothing pick-me up after a harrowing day. But it was also a little sad, because all of my favorite authors, people I considered mentors and friends, had moved on. Have moved on. It felt like the Grayza fandom had kind of gradually, slowly, silently sputtered, coughed, and died, and I was one of the small numbers of people witnessing it.
Then, the announcement for the Grayza Fanzine came. I was excited, feeling a little bittersweet, as this would be the beautiful, heartfelt sendoff this ship of dreams would deserve. I desperately wanted to contribute, but my midterms were coming up, and I was busy with my studies, so there was no way I could churn out a fic with that mindset. So I mentally wished everyone contributing to the zine luck, and moved on, anticipating for the day I would get that notification on my phone.
 And then I got it.
I actually cried while I went through the zine. The fics, from what I’ve read so far, are all heartfelt and beautiful and managed to hit me in parts of my heart and soul that I thought I’d buried and mourned a long long time ago. The fanarts are all breathtaking. And the layout! I lovelovelove the overlapping blue and red stars scattered over the pages, the snowflakes!
In the middle of the night, standing next to the kitchen (because that’s the only place where I could charge my phone at the time), with tears in my eyes, I felt like I was holding a gem in my hands. A treasure. And it is.
I couldn’t study after that. My anxieties about college and university had washed away: I felt like a kid again, in love with this ship all over again. For the next two hours, I thumbed through the PDF, marvelling at this labor of love, my heart raw and aching in all the right ways.
So thank you, everyone at @grayza-fanzine who made this zine possible. Every artist, every writer, everyone. I might not know any of you, but you all share my love for this wonderful, painful, glorious ship, and I think that is enough.
Thank you so, so much.

9, 34, 43 for the fanfic writer asks!
Oh oh first ask, both for this fanfic ask, and also first ask ever on this blog~ So here we go, I hope you’ll like the answers!
3.   What is your most popular fanfic?
Hmm... If we speak of fic that gets the more hits and kudos on AO3, surprisingly, and not that I like to admit it, my drabbles collection Moments is high ahead. Honestly, I don’t understand why it haves so many hits. What do people find in it? The drabbles/short OS have no link with each other, have often very little plot, and when they have one it’s to make some heavy angst or really crack stuff. Like please, what do you like about it?
Speaking of multi-chap fics, Three Years have currently more hits, but The Magical Dexholders have more kudos even with only 1/3 of all Three Years chapters, and in general, new chapters of The Magical Dexholders have better reception than the ones from Three Years so I think The Magical Dexholders is kinda more popular?
And for OS/TS, Celebi-rities in Distress is the most popular but is followed closely by Don’t Listen to Other’s Confessions Or You’ll End Up As Responsible Than Them and as the last one is not yet complete, I think it will become more popular in the future.
(For everyone wondering where you can find those fics, I am working on a fic master post at the moment, but you can find all of them on my AO3 Account)
34.  How did you find the magical world of fanfics?
Aha... I’m kinda ashamed about it actually but here we go-
It was like, 7 or 8 years ago? I was starting to spend a lot of time on Internet at this time and I was a lot into Code Lyoko, and as I was looking for information and theories on Skyblog (basically, a French blog site that used a lot by middle schoolers back then, I’m not sure how it is now though) and I fell on a blog with a fic. I had heard of fic before, but never really understood what it means until I read this Code Lyoko fic, that I loved. I then spend months on Skyblog again looking for fics of Code Lyoko and One Piece at first, and then Fairy Tail after. The contents I found on the different blogs were really cursed though. I started to write my first fics around this time, one on Code Lyoko, that I posted on a forum where it ended up being suppressed because write by a “cringy person with a ‘writing’ like username and who don’t update fast enough” and well, let’s say my 12 or 13′s yo confidence did not really take it well. And there was also a crossover fic between Fairy Tail and One Piece, and this one was just awkwardly cringy and with bad self-insert OCs but hey, I was a cringy girl back then.
And then I never let go of fics, and as I started to go on smaller fandoms with not-enough fics in French to my taste, I went to English fics, and now I can hardly read fics in French, except for a very few ones (like one I’d been following for 5 years and which is now at what, nearly 200 chapters, or this Gintama Black Butler crossover fic that is desperately funny and well written).
So here we go, I guess? Ah, I was really cringy back then-
43. Guilty pleasure tropes and scenarios?
Ahahah... ANGST
I swear I have an addiction to angst. Making the characters suffer, both physically and mentally, separate them from their loved ones by any way possibles, making them put into question what they are or what is their relationship with another character, destroy what they are... I love it. And not necessary with and happy ending.
I have also a big, big weakness for Major Character Death. Like I know this character is my fav, but if you write a fic when they die, you can sure I will read it, and I have multiple Major Character Death plots in my head. And also a weakness for Fake Major Character Death, when for some reasons all the characters believe another character is dead, except that the Character is actually alive, and either hiding themselves to protect their love ones from something, or retained prisoners by something and going through a lot of suffering.
Also, love everything imply by separations and notably forced ones, where characters are forced to split way for some reason. Like how they are affected by the separation, what they do to see the others again, and the moment when they finally see each other again... Ah I love those tropes!
Something I’m fond of is also Found Family. Family bonds and relationships are, for me, something way more living and warm than romantic love. And I’m in love with weird friendships, crackships or things like that. Like damn, I know those characters never interacted in the canon, but let’s make them friends, or going through a horrible experiment together, or being relatives. Like I had so much fun writing Y and Sun for the Specord Writing Challenge, or Pearl and Yellow being cousins, and nearly all my AUs have non-canon relationships in it (Like there is this one AU where Blue, Silver, Pearl, and Moon are all adopted siblings and sometimes I just obsess so much on their interactions).
And sometimes, I just like to enjoy super crack fics where everyone is a dumbass, and where nobody knows what exactly they are doing. And, if they are well written and if there is a minimum of a plot behind, I can really enjoy a chat fic.
Those tropes/scenarios are both the things I love to read and write, but please note that due mainly to a lack of time, there is what, barely 10 or 20% of my stories ideas that make up being written, so there is some tropes/scenarios I did not write a lot for, unfortunately.
This list was kind of long,  but after years of reading fics, I ended up having a large field of things I like. But yeah, basically I’m not hard to get attracted by a fic, as long that you have a plot and that the construction of your sentences is not too weird I can read it. And even for the plots, it can depend, a fluff fic without a plot can work pretty well too (well, except if I get super bored by this one super popular ship, in that case, you have to be an author I trust for me to read it).
I think it’s all for this ask! If you want me to answer some more questions, don’t hesitate to send an ask! (The questions list can be found here)

Hey Cap! I’m such a big fan and from what I’ve observed, you seem to be such an influential person in the online Spe community. I’d like to know your thoughts on what makes a good fic. I have a fee but they’re both not very good (doesn’t help that the pairings are unpopular). Any advice you have I’d appreciate.
Hi!!!!
And what? I’m dshfsdjkfhsdfjkshfsk I’m honored!!!! Thank you! :D I’m not sure about the influential one (probably because I never notice it—Am I even a good person? sjfksd) but that means a lot, thank you sdfhdskjfds
And hmmm, this is an excellent question. I hardly read any pokespe fics recently because real life has been taken a toll on me but I’m pretty sure you know the basics of a good fic.
It has to have almost perfect grammar (”almost” because not everyone’s first language is English and it’s okay to make grammatical errors especially if English isn’t your native language), a good story structure, etc. But, let me do a detailed answer before I started rambling out of nowhere or have a brain fart.
This is going to be a long one, probably so I’ll put this under cut.
Disclaimer: This is entirely my opinion! A good fic will always be defined by you and you only. Don’t let other people influence you negatively. If you agree with this then yay, if you don’t then that’s valid!!!
With that out of the way, time to answer what I think is a good fic:
1. The story doesn’t need to be complex or “very dark” for it to be good.
My boyfriend and I always talk about how simple art and fanfics are already enough. My friend always advised me to write something simple first before I complicate things. If you think your idea for a fanfic is simple, don’t ignore it! A simple idea can give you a good story! My first Pokespe fanfic is basically a jealous Ruby. While I despised that fanfic because it’s “too simple”, some of the people who’ve read the fic told me on discord or any social media that they love it. It may be too simple for you but it’s not to the readers!
2. Even if you don’t want to, you need to do your research to make the characters faithful to the source material.
You can read or watch the canon material (or anything related to canon) or just simply read other people’s fanfic to see how they handle the characters. It’s okay if they’re a bit out of character. After all, the only people who can write those characters you’re using in a fanfic are the original writers and creators but don’t go too much with the out of character….ness.
Example:
Some fanfics I’ve read have Ruby despise battling and won’t battle for the rest of his life. While he does not like battling in canon, he still uses his battling skills to protect the ones he loves. Remember that one time in the Emerald chapter where Frontier Brain Spenser started making Sapphire uncomfortable? Ruby was ready to kick his butt at that time.
“Violence? What’s that? I’m ready to beat up anyone who threatens Sapphire!” - Ruby Pokespe, 2020
Did I make sense here? Okay, maybe another example:
Some fanfics state that Sapphire hates wearing dresses and will do anything to not wear them because of her “barbaric nature”. I’ve read RS and ORAS and even the Emerald chapter a bunch of times and it didn’t say that Sapphire hates wearing dresses. She didn’t want to wear a dress because it reminds her of her traumatic past. It reminded her of how weak she was as a kid. And really, who wants to be associated with their traumatic past? Will Sapphire wear a dress, though? Yes, she will. Once she moved on from her traumatic past, she will but it’s up to her if she wants to wear it or not. But really, she doesn’t hate wearing it not because she’s “barbaric”. She didn’t like wearing one because it reminded her of how weak and helpless she was back then.
I hope the examples make sense. If not, well, shoot me a DM so I can give more advice or beta read your fic.
You can also read other people’s analyses or headcanons. They’re good research material!
3. Too much isn’t always a good thing.
This applies to both angst and fluff. While shippers may argue that there’s no such thing as too much (and I agree), there will be some people who will criticize your work for having too much fluff or angst. Angst is good. Fluff is good. Too much may ruin the story.
It’s a good idea to put a warning if the fic will have too much fluff or angst, though. I will be lying if I didn’t write too much fluff for franticshipping but sometimes, it is okay to write too much fluff or angst just to escape the real world.
4. Have the creative freedom to make any character interactions you want.
This one is self-explanatory and the only limit is your imagination.
5. Make sure the plot works and is connected to each other.
You won’t notice this unless you edited your work for the nth time or have someone beta read it. I’m not really good at explaining this but remember that each event has to be connected and they make sense.
Then again, you probably know this one sdjfkds
6. Don’t be afraid to make things ridiculous in your story!
Your imagination is the only limit and it’s fun to see people interpret it differently. A lot of media has given us weird stuff in their story lately (no, I don’t mean sexual weird or an adult and a minor in a relationship. Get help if you think the latter is cute.) I meant like making things seem nonsensical. Maybe a reader may make an analysis of it if you’re lucky!
7. Be passionate about your work!
It’s amazing to read a fic that the writer had a lot of fun writing and put so much love and passion into it! It’s just ***AGRESSIVE CHEF KISS***
Those are the advice I can give at the top of my head. I do hope these help! Thank you so much for the ask again!
PS: I can’t wait to read your fic if you posted it! I know it’s scary and it can be cringy but you got this!!!!

I found a two-year-old Altami fanfic on my Wattpad, which I didn't publish there. It was supposed to be about Tami living alone in the "real world" and Altaïr was, you know, a fictional character from the game and he gets to the real world. Then it was supposed to be like a slice of life, how Tami teaches Altaïr how to live in the modern world and how Altaïr falls in love with her and etc. But I only wrote one chapter and then lost motivation. 🙄 So I decided to show here on Tumblr.
Warning: Very cringy and bad english with grammatical errors!
I hope you enjoy!
Original Title and Description:
💕Love from 2 Universes💕 Altaïr ❤ Tami (OC)
Tami is a solitary and childish young woman who is emotionally unbalanced and addicted to video games. One day she finished Assassin's Creed: Revelations, her favourite character/crush came into her world: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. He's confused about a new world that didn't imagine that it would look like this. Tami has to teach him everything she knows. Although she's in love with him, she doesn't want to tell him because she felt that it wasn't right and maybe one day he will return to his universe. But what happens that assassin probably falls in love with her as well…?
Warning: Very cringy and bad english with grammatical errors!
I hope you enjoy! 💕
After a long time, the young girl named Tami finished her favourite game: Assassin's Creed: Revelations. She was crying front of the laptop, she wasn't crying because she had finished, but she was crying because she saw her favourite character dies: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.
Of course, she played since the first game and fell in love with him. She adored him much more than the famous Ezio Auditore. Why? Because she somehow has a lot in common with Altaïr and adored his story from Assassin's Creed: The Secret Crusade novel.
Then Tami sighed and turned off the game. She wiped the tears from the sleeve of her white hoodie. A lot of people would tell her it's just a game, but she didn't care what others say. She wished Altaïr were real. In fact, it is the dream of almost every fangirl. She could hug him and tell him that she felt sorry for his tragic life and maybe life with her would be better.
"No, Tami," she said to herself, "Stop having a crush on someone who doesn't exist and he wouldn't like you back. Goodness... He is also married... I should stop..."
She looked at the time, it was half past ten in the evening. "I guess I could go to bed and start playing Assassin's Creed 3 tomorrow," she yawned tiredly. She put on her pajamas, lay down on the bed, covered herself with a blanket and closed eyes.
________________________________________________
About midnight Tami was awakened by a light from her laptop monitor, showing only a white screen. Tami grunted, got out of bed to turn off her laptop. Then she heard footsteps outside the room. Tami lived alone in a cottage in the woods, so someone had to break into her house. Tami picked up her flashlight and carefully left the room.
Who can it be?
A bungler?
A murder?
Someone who get lost in the woods and need to hide in safety?
Or it would even be an animal?
Should she call the police?
So many questions...
She walked slowly down the stairs to the living room, where there was an exit. She noticed that the door and windows were locked. 'Strange...' she thought, 'It must be some animal then.'
Suddenly she heard the same footsteps behind her and aimed her flashlight at the mysterious creature. Tami gasped as she saw the stranger in a white robes. She couldn't believe her own eyes.
Is it a dream or a reality?
"W-Who a-are you...?" she asked uncertainly and lowered the flashlight so he could look at her with hidden eyes under the hood.
"Altaïr..." he replied in a monotone voice...
Tami couldn't believe it, her favourite character was real... The great Master Assassin, Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, was standing in front of her. She didn't see his whole face, but she noticed that he was young and had his typical scar on his right lip and light beard.
"Where am I?" He asked her in an Arabic accent, sounding confused, "What kind of place is this?"
Tami swallowed nervously, Altaïr was from the Medieval Ages, it was a challenge to explain everything about it, "Um... You're in my house... And it's the 21st century..."
"How many years?" he wondered, but didn't show emotion in front of her, "Almost a thousand years." "That's what the world looks like for almost a thousand years?" "Yes... Do you remember how you got here?"
"The last time I remember, I was supposed to save Abbas from the Apple of Eden. And when I took it, I suddenly saw only light and then I found myself here..." 'So from the second Altaïr's memory in AC Revelations...' Tami thought.
Then there was an awkward silence.
"By the way, I didn't catch your name," Altaïr said, Tami woke up and blushed when she heard him. But so she introduced herself: "I'm Tamara Fountain, but call me Tami, please. Nice to meet you, Master Assassin," Tami smiled.
"Wait. How do you know I'm a Master Assassin?" "Well... I'll tell you, we two are from two different universes. You're a fictional character in my universe, which doesn't exist in real life." Altaïr just stared at her, "What? What do you mean about I don't exist in your universe?" "I mean... You're real now, but... Um... I don't know how best to explain it to you right now..." Tami sighed and facepalmed.
Another awkward silence, Tami's eyes began to close and she yawned. "Are you tired, Tami?" he asked her in the same tone.
She nodded, "You know, I slept a while ago and you woke me up." "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't want to." "That's all right. Stay here and I'll tell you everything tomorrow." Altaïr nodded, "Fine. Because I really need answers..." "I know..."
Then Tami went back to her room to sleep. 'Maybe it's really just a dream... Or I'm hallucinating... Dammit, Tami... He won't be real...'
To be continue?

how did you get into film writing (or is it playwriting????) and do you have an advice on others trying to dive into it?? :) ty in advance!!!
Oh I love this question!!
I’m going to put the answer under a cut because it’s going to get very long :)
So to answer the first part of your question, I’ve been writing for over 10 years now! I started writing horrible fanfic and original stories when I was 13. I didn’t post it or anything, I just wrote it on notebooks and kept it for myself when I wasn’t satisfied with how my favorite books or movies were going (there was a ton of super cringy twilight and harry potter fanfic lol).
In school I was always a very strong writer in terms of essays, and in English/Lit classes I was always very conscious about the rules of literature and grammar. I won a couple short story prizes in random competitions, I helped and tutored other kids with their papers all the way into college, and now I’m on a couple master of fine arts thesis committees doing that very same thing. So I’ve always been someone who enjoys writing and being able to express stories visually just came so naturally.
I have always been very much into film and theater, and I started officially writing scripts when I was around 15/16 or so, because I had a small camcorder that I would use to make awful awful awful short films. I think the very first official script I ever wrote was for a class project, where we had to make a short film parodying a pre-existing movie.
When I went to university for film, I found my absolute love for writing original material in my script classes. I took a script-analysis class where we broke down the parts of a screenplay to its most fundamental pieces, and then really picked apart how those elements all work together both technically, and in terms of creative content. I also took a script theory and practices class with academy award nominated professors who really helped me develop my personal eye and hone my style -- but!! The most impactful thing that I really got out of those classes was workshopping other people’s scripts. That was so valuable to me because it became very clear when a script wasn’t working and when it was. It’s hard sometimes to see flaws in your own writing, but it’s very easy to see them in others. Like you know how you can just tell when things aren’t going well? I got that vibe a lot, and worked towards applying the criticisms I would give to others on my own work, and I improved a ton.
While I was in film school I wrote a so many scripts that like it was getting out of control, lol. My friends and I filmed a bunch of them just for fun and to improve our skills, but we never really showed them to anyone lol.
By the time I went to my master’s degree, I was already very familiar with the screenwriting world, I had met and networked with people who gave me valuable feedback and helped me develop my writing style into what it is today, and so I began to take elective classes that would allow me to write a script just to keep up the work. I wrote a full length feature script (which I’m hoping to schedule a meeting with a very big director soon!!!) for a shot design class, and I wrote two feature length scripts for my screenplay adaptation class (which I’m also hoping to pitch to a couple industry people soon), and I wrote scripts for my animation collaborative class, and my storyboarding classes and of course my master’s thesis. Just trying to find as many opportunities to write a script as possible, and then turn that script into something.
So that’s how I got into it! From very early on I knew I wanted to tell stories, but it wasn’t until I was in high school that I genuinely thought I could work towards telling stories professionally through my absolute favorite medium, film :)
Now! To answer your second question, my biggest advice is to write as much as you can and expect it to be awful in the beginning. Write cliches. Write stories you think have been done a thousand times. Write the same characters over and over again. Write as many different genres as you can. Write awful bad cheesy sappy predictable garbage. Because the best way to learn is to practice and the only way to find out what your voice is, what your style is, what the stories you want to share are, is to write. Embrace the writers block. Push through it. Write out of sequence, write scenes and try to build something around them. Don’t think your first draft is your best draft -- there is always room for improvement.
And network!! Find people who are in the industry and ask for their honest feedback and don’t be upset when you hear something isn’t good. Ask them why it isn’t good, and then decide if you want to apply those corrections. If you’re going to school, try to incorporate screenwriting into as many of your classes as possible. If you’re going to higher education, find a program that will let you take electives or classes in screenwriting, and talk to your professors. Get to know them! If you put in the hard work and are friendly and kind and you genuinely show that you are a good writer they will want to help you, I promise.
I won’t lie to you, I am not fully in the industry yet. I haven’t sold any scripts yet, I haven’t even pitched any yet, because up until now I haven’t been ready. And you might not be ready yet for a long time either. And when you are, it is going to be a very hard road of trying to pitch your scripts and send them out to production companies or fund them yourself.
But if it’s something you’re truly passionate about, and if you know the right people and work hard enough and are a good writer, you’ll get there eventually, I promise

“HOLY SHIT I’M LATE!”
First day of school. And Wong Yukhei, or Huang Xuxi, who goes by Lucas, is late for school.
Well not first day of school actually. It’s actually his first day on Neo Culture Technology Academy of Performing Arts. Quite a long name for a school. But this one is a no joke. Neo Culture Technology Academy of Performing Arts is one of the prestigious arts high school. Every kids around the world who wants to be a successful musician know that being a student at this particular school would give them some kind of privilege that will secure their future.
Neo Culture Technology Academy of Performing Arts, or know by its acronym, NCT Academy, held a global audition for new students every year. That looks easy, but jokes on you. This audition is probably one of the hardest things to be passed in this world. Many kids failed on this process.
Not only that, this academy even had this ‘training’ session to ensure that only the best kids got enroll to the academy. This training usually takes about a year or shorter. If you do your best, congrats. But sometimes there are kids who dropped out of this session.
Knowing this, you might probably think that Lucas did some amazing things to be enrolled in this school.
Fun fact: he didn’t
Lucas was doing poor during his middle school. He wasn’t the brightest crayon in the box. He didn’t know what he wanted to be when he grow up.
This self proclaimed Justin Bieber look alike is failing in every class at his school. His parents, even though disappointed, afraid of their son of not having a future, they supported Lucas through up-downs, and let Lucas to be anything what he want, as long as it is not illegal.
One day, he saw this article about NCT Academy and the global audition they are having in his hometown, Hong Kong. Looking at it, he thought “Why not?”. He thinks that this audition as a one time experience. No hard feelings, no high hopes. Just do it.
He didn’t have any preparation. When he came to the audition place, everyone was practicing their moves, doing some vocal warm up, practicing high notes, and stuff like that.
The fact that he just struck 3 model poses and passed the audition, everyone was so shocked. No exception to him. He was happy, but some of the other competitors didn’t.
Everyone seemed so nice to him. But in his back, those who envied him talked shit. Lucas, being the happy-go-lucky self, didn’t knew this. Lucas is just that kind of kid who just get along with everyone. Until one day he accidentally eavesdrop a conversation, which kind of broke his heart a little. Since then, he started to train hard, becoming a rapper, and also learn Korean language, proving that he is not just ‘a talentless visual’.
Back to current state. Lucas, who just finished his 30-minutes-morning-routine-squished-into-3-minutes. Struggling to put on his uniform while still dripping wet, ran quickly straight out of his room in the dormitory.
He was too busy too realized that a small, inked words of ‘Uh, hi?’, formed on his forehand.
***
“Where the hell is he?”
6 teenagers, sitting in a circle in the multipurpose room. They’ve been waiting for their new teammate for about an hour.
“God, this is our first meeting for out first project, and the new kid is late?” The black hair kid whined as he stretched his arms
“Calm down Doyoung, he could show up in any minute. Besides, what if he’s already up, but he’s just to scared to meet us?” The redhead with slit eyebrows calmed his friend down, patting his back as he cool down.
“I don’t think so,” one the kids, the blonde one, argued. “He’s been snoring since I left our room”
“I couldn’t wait any longer!”, Doyoung shouted. “He should have wake up earlier knowing the fact that it is his first day! And also his first project meeting! This is so unprofessional! This is unacceptable!”
“Hey hey hey,” a guy, with strawberry blonde hair, replied to him. “Why don’t you walk down with Jaehyun-hyung for coffee, you know, cool down for a little bit?”
“Your not angry just because you are also late like him, Mark! I entered the room since 6 a.m. knowing damn well that this a big project and we are meeting our new member!”
“Hey I’m not late! Donghyuck needed some help with this homework so I had to stop by his room. And I also brought Jaehyun-hyung with us!”
“Back again with the ‘boyfriend’ excuses”
“He’s not my boyfriend!”
“EVERYONE IN SCHOOL KNOWS THAT THE TWO OF YOU ARE A COUPLE!”
“God what did I just signed up for” Taeyong, the redhead, facepalmed.
Mark and Doyoung started to argue, not realizing that Jungwoo, is hissing in pain holding his right arm, thinking that it would lessen the pain
“CAN YOU JUST STOP ARGUIN-WHAT IS IT JUNGWOO? WHY ARE YOU HOLDING YOUR ARM!?” Jaehyun tried to break down the argument, until he looked up to his younger mate, in pain.
Taeyong, being the mama good leader he is, quickly get up to check on his junior
“Hold up, wait, is that a, is that a soulmate tattoo!?”
“Wow, that’s quite a long one…”
Everyone gathered around Jungwoo. The poor kid knows that his friends are quite curious about it. He let go his grip and take a better look at this mystical weird stuff
Soulmate tattoo isn’t quite common. Sure, there are tons of stories about them. But it only happened like once in a while. They are very rare, but it actually exist in this logical word. This means that they are actually destined to be each other.
Or to be simplified, they are meant to be.
They usually are their first word for each other. But, the case is quite different from this.
Jungwoo’s arm, still red and stings, is now full with small words, that makes up to a full paragraph. Everyone is just staring at it. Mixed feelings, between shock, confused, amazed to witness such rare occasion, or just simply shook.
Jungwoo, full name Kim Jungwoo, is one of the best student in NCT Academy. Besides a global audition, NCT Academy also held their infamous weekly audition, dubbed “Saturday Auditions”. Everyone who passed this audition, will instantly become a student, and also won a full scholarship throughout their studies in NCT Academy. But again, everything comes with a price.
This audition is probably something that is impossible to pass, much harder than their global one. The one who could actually pass this would instantly become famous, even before starting school. Yet Jungwoo pass this with flying colours.
Not only that, Jungwoo has a damn great visual. His smile could probably make everyone instantly whipped for him. From young to old, no one can resist his sweet smile. His personality, also submits a great fact that this person is just straight up a big ball of uwu. The way he talk and sings, that soft voice, adds up another reason. And he just gets along with everyone, not afraid of skinship.
He’s probably the softest thing in this world that we need to protect from this bad, cruel world.
“Hey are we just gonna stare up at Jungwoo while he is in pain and we haven’t even start our meeting yet?” Doyoung, crossing his arms, quickly snapped everyone to reality.
“Ah about that, leave it to me. I’ll bring an ice pack from the kitchen,” Mark stood up from his position. Just as he about to leave, Jaehyun spoked, “Donghyuck is probably with the dreamies, he’s not having breakfast at this time”
Mark blushed, everyone laughed, knowing damn well that this boy is just trying to steal some time with his boo. It is obvious that him and Donghyuck, nickname Haechan, is a thing. Everyone in the school can see that they are madly in love.
They’re laugh suddenly stop until Doyoung started to talk again, “Leadernim, why don’t you get the first aid kit and treat this guy?”
Taeyong, still concerned at his junior, stood up and was about to leave, trying to help the poor kid. “Yeah, Jungwoo, stay here with Mark, Doyoung, and Winwin. Me and Jaehyun will go out to take the first aid kit and probably some snack. This meeting could actually take a while.”
“Ah, it okay hyung. Let me just do it myself! I’ll go to the infirmary by myself,” Guilty of the kindness of his senior, Jungwoo didn’t want to bother them. He feels that it’s probably better if he just do it by himself.
“Are you sure? You are still in pain, let Taeyong-hyung and Jaehyun do it for you,” Winwin tapped Jungwoo’s shoulder, trying to stop him.
“It’s just stinging pain, it’s not like a I broke a bone or fall from the 5th floor. I’ll just go to the infirmary and kitchen to take some bandage and ice. It’ll be fine!” Jungwoo assured his senior.
Jungwoo never made it to the infirmary.
He didn’t even get to leave the room.
Just as he about to open the door, a wild Lucas appeared slammed the door open, slapping Jungwoo’s face and also sends him flying to the other side of the room.
“I’M SO SORRY I’M LATE! OH MY GOSH THERE IS A PERSON! I’M SO SORRY! MY NAME IS WONG YUKHEI OR HUANG XUXI YOU CAN CALL ME LUCAS! DID I HURT YOU? OF COURSE I DID IT! I’M SORRY I’LL PAY THE HOSPITAL BILLS! PLEASE YOU CAN HURT ME BACK JUST PROMISE ME THAT YOU FORGIVE ME! OH MY GOSH THIS IS MY FRIST DAY AND I ALREADY MADE TROUBLE EVERYONE WILL HATE ME! ALSO MY KOREAN IS BAD DON’T AT ME! I’M SO SORRY LAST NIGHT I COULDN’T SLEEP BECAUSE I WAS SO EXCITED ABOUT MY FIRST DAY IN NCT ACADEMY! I MAY PROBABLY LOOK AMATEUR I ACTUALLY AUDITION WITH MODEL POSES I DON’T KNOW WHY THEY ACCCEPTED ME AND JUST TALENTLESS VISUAL BUT I TRAINED HARD SO I CAN BE HERE PLEASE DON’T JUDGE ME I’LL WORK HARD I HOPE WE CAN WORK TOGETHER!”
Everyone, who was still recovering from Jungwoo’s tattoo, now is having another PTSD after Lucas’s enter to the room.
Nobody talked. Horrified, shook, no words can escape their mouth.
Taeyong, mentally and physically facepalming, questioned himself why he actually wanted to enroll in this school where everyone shares the same braincell including him.
Jaehyun, grateful for Jungwoo’s guilty as he will not get hit by Lucas
Doyoung, stands stiff, suffers from second-hand embarrassment.
Mark, hoping he would get a same age friend, suddenly regrets his wish.
Winwin, calmly watches the drama.
While Jungwoo tried to get up, he realized that the boy’s word is the one that was marked on his hand just right before this incident happened. Jungwoo looked up to Lucas’s eyes, shocked that his meant to be soulmate, is right in front of him. Right now.
Lucas, guilty of what just happened, kneeled down, giving his right hand to his victim, trying to lift him. “Are you okay?”. Jungwoo look to his eyes, he immediately blurted out, “Uh, hi?”.
Lucas finally noticed why his hand stings. He saw his hands, read the small serif font word on his hand. His eyes immediately lit up. He look to Jungwoo. “This, this, this could not be-ah I’m so sorry”
Jungwoo saw the nervousness and guilt on his face, he just smiled. Ah he’s kinda cute.
“It’s okay. I’m Jungwoo. You must be Xuxi.”
Lucas blushed hard. What did I do to deserve this cinnamon roll.
“Ah yes,” Lucas brushed his hair, trying to hide his flushed face out of embarrassment. “I must be so embarrassing, am I?”
“People make mistake, that’s normal,” Jungwoo tucked some of Lucas’s hair behind his ear. This doesn’t help Lucas as his face turned much more red.
“Ahem, I’m sorry to interrupt your destined meeting, but please, get a room. And also, we have a meeting for our first big project,” The other five stand in unison, breaking their moment.
Jungwoo and Lucas looked up to them, still embarrassed, laughed out.
“Hey, you might be new, but it’s okay, we’ll take care of you!” Jungwoo reached out his right arm to Lucas. Lucas, realizing that his days are gonna be much better, grabbed his arm and smiled.
“Yeah, especially when my ‘meant to be’ is next to me”
