When I saw Dark, I definitely expected characters like Hannah and Ulrich to be hated. I wasn't surprised when I saw comments disliking them on different websites, but I just didn't expect to see people celebrating that Hannah was murdered by her own child while her younger child was sleeping in the same room.

People can enjoy any moment they want while watching a show or movie, but I just don't get it. Hannah gets an amount of hate that no other character in the show gets, and it feels like a large part of the show's viewers ignore to even trying to understand her.

jonas literally says in the first episode:

“My father said good and evil are a question of perspective.”

I'm not saying her character didn't do bad things, but it's exhausting how that's the only thing people see about her and it's just like they're trying to erase the good she did or all the positive things she meant in certain characters' lives.

I was even more shocked to see how few comments put Hannah on the same level as Helene Albers. I just don't understand how anyone could think that Hannah is somehow comparable to an abusive parent.

Hannah with her kids:

When she saw her boy struggling to cope with his dad's dead, she supported her child and made sure he got the professional help he needed.

And when Jonas came back to town, she made sure he got his medications and therapy sessions with Peter.

Hannah was so worried when Jonas tells her he had a fight at the end of the first season.

In the same scene, he just wanted to comfort his mother by saying, "Don't worry, Mom. Everything will be fine, Mom." when he actually believed that he could save Mikkel and thus end his own existence.

As the months passed since her son's disappearance, Hannah was so devastated that she almost took her own life.

She didn't, because Stranger Jonas appeared.

Stranger Jonas has returned after years of living in the apocalypse, and he doesn't know what else to do when his plan fails. The only thing he can think of is to go to his mom and tell her the truth.

After the time young Jonas spent traveling with Claudia, the first thing he does when he finally returns home is look for his mom.

It was a long time before Hannah saw her son again.

But she went to see him immediately when a random old woman told her that she knew where her son was and that he needed her.

Hannah was heartbroken when she saw what had happened to her boy. In that moment she apologized, recognized her mistakes, and told him that she was there for him.

Young Adam looked scary, but Hannah loved him anyway, and baby Silja trusted him when he said, "I want to show you a secret. But we'll let your mom rest, okay?"

Hannah died when Silja was very young and she probably didn't remember much about her mom, but she still named her firstborn Hanno after her.

and that's just to mention some of the things I could remember about Hannah's relationship with her kids.

The last dialogue of the whole show:

"I always thought "Jonas" was a good name."

Hannah was a good mom and her kids absolutely loved her. It bothers me that some people want to take that away from her because they don’t like her.

It's really hard for me to understand how some viewers can watch a show like Dark and decide that they can see all the million gray areas that all these characters had, but with one particular character they reduce everything to black and white.

it's been SOOOO HOTTTT here lately so here's a few thoughts:

cirrus "i never get sunburnt and if i do, it just turns into tan" ghoulette vs cumulus "i immediately get sunburnt after spending .3 seconds in direct sunlight even with sunscreen on"

cumulus and cirrus both doing a big chop in the summer to keep cool. they both end up with cute little bobs but cumulus' is thick and curly and cirrus has short straight across bangs with hers

both of them demanding that rain follow them outside so he can summon water under their feet with every step to make sure they don't burn their feet on the concrete. he's all UGHHHH FINE WHATEVER but he's secretly very happy to be included. and sometimes he'll spray one of them in the face just for giggles

cirrus and cumulus constantly raid the orchard and greenhouse during summer because there's always so many yummy treats growing in there. it's okay they always find a way to repay mountain........ 😇

SUMMER GHOULS!! It is winter here and I live in one of the more wintery parts of the world (though we're severely lacking in snow the temperature is making up for it) and I need summer ghouls right now!! God I love all of this so muchhhhh. Their hair cuts!? Both of them always barefoot. They're everything. Think about Cir and Lus in the peach orchard. Feeding each other peaches. Juice running down their fingers and arms (chased by tongues, of course). Mountain sends them out to harvest the summer fruits and veggies even though he knows they'll come back with red stained lips and only half the amount of raspberries they should have. But he doesn't mind--they love it. And how can he resist chasing the taste of strawberry on Cumulus' tongue when she grabs him by the antlers and pulls him down for a kiss? I bet Rain also helps sooth Lus' sunburn when she inevetiably gets ones. Laying cool hands on her overheated back. Rubbing aloe in as she lays shirtless on her bed, groaning with each pass of his talented fingers. Also don't get me started on ghouls with freckles. Cumulus with them all over her shoulders. Sunshine and Dew with them sprinkled over their noses. Rain and Cirrus counting the ones on Mountain's back. GUHH SUMMER GHOULSSSS.

hello hi welcome to unhinged recaps. todays’s episode is chapter 18 aka tears are streaming down my face.

of course we start off this page with Annabella immediately getting chomped on by her big body built rogue boyfriend because what other way is there to start this? did you expect normal circumstance? you seriously need to stop doing that.

so, Mr. Scorpion wants to play a lil game with Bella, he’s always been a fan of twister and wants to put her ass through the works. he’s a fucking weirdo but he’s hot so it’s okay. anyways, he’s got a grip on her and starts whispering something about “little rabbit” as if we aren’t in the room.

like, sir, aren’t you watching where you’re going? don’t you see us right here? keep your possessive little prey nicknames to yourself idc how hot they are.

he’s pulling all these touchy talky tactics and Bella is going through it. you’d think that someone like her who is already in the trenches because, let’s not forget, her mom is literally missing and doing fuckall in the middle of nowhere, would be like “mm get off” but no. Bella is thriving. good for her.

Damon, being a large gremlin, is getting his hands all over her which they both enjoy. he’s acting like a man dying of thirst with the way he’s kissing her. someone get this man real water before he gets cotton mouth bro i stg.

all his kissing, touching, and sucking has got Bella trembling like a literal leaf. her body is electrifying itself, she’s overheating, she’s combusting and exploding at the seems. she is hotter then the drama between Lana del Rey and Lorde all because Damon’s got both magic fingers and magic tongue. bro is a wizard.

Damon’s got Bella in the hot tub and he’s legit right in between her legs, she’s spread eagle like Patrick Star in fishnets. He’s down there having the time of his life being a sex God or some shit but he wants more. he wants to hear Bella beg a little but ofc it’s never that simple.

Bella is not one to beg, she ain’t no little bitch. she’s a soldier who can take her pleasure into her own hands so she attempts, keyword being attempts. legit the second her fingers touched her own clit Damon gets more offended than white girls who didn’t get those Valentine’s Day Stanley cups.

she is, quite literally, shaking in need but Damon doesn’t give a shit. if she didn’t say please, his tongue would simply leave the function (her clit) and she’s be stuck there for ages. after some denial and pinning down though Bella gives in and lets out that little please Damon’s been hounding for.

you get the picture at this point. sex freaks start doing sex things. Damon worships Bella both inside and out, she figures out she can squirt and nearly drowns the whole god damn building, then they get out the water and go to their room.

now, I wanna point out that at this point in the story we don’t get much of Damon’s history other then the gang he’s in and his dads a cunt. when he plops Bella onto the bed she gets a good look at his back and what does she see? scars. whip scars.

bro has whip scars like he’s James Alexander Malcom Mackenzie Fraser, the old scotland special.

anyways, it’s drama. drama trauma drama, very sad shit is said. not only is Damon’s dad a dick he is also an abuser. i wish death upon this man but that’s too merciful so we need to come up with a better plan.

after they have their little turmoil moment they pass tf out and sleep like normal people. this is the most normal behavior i’ve seen either of them display the entire fucking book. next morning Bella wakes up wondering “hey where’s my big ass damn ass boyfriend” and assumes he’s downstairs whipping it up in the kitchen but uh oh, he’s not there. the other girlies are lingering around but Damon is no where in sight because ofc he isn’t. if this was normal circumstance, he’d be there but we established that normal doesn’t EXIST.

Bella asked the other members of The Bad Girls Club where her lil freak is and they tell her they’re not sure. they notice his car is gone and try to justify it, but that’s when the smart himbo aka JJ connects the dots and realizes that Damon isn’t just taking a stroll, he’s fucking missing.

immediately alarms go off. the white boy is gone, someone save him. oh, and JJ tells Bella that a group called Black Ace is ACTIVELY OUT FOR DAMON.

my brother in Christ, be so fucking for real. why admit this now? why wait 295839938 days to tell her that? literally get away from me.

now normally someone would call the cops, someone would call 911 to report Damon missing but we can’t do that. let’s remember these idiots, minus Bella and Maisie, are all part of a criminal gang because of course they are. have you been listening? ITS NEVER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCE.

back on track. everyone is in a panic, Bella is legit on the verge of a breakdown. she’s about to become as depressed as Bella Swan and we can’t have that. naturally, they pack up and haul off and JJ is honestly at more of a turmoil than Bella. he is truly about to flip the car but Maisie, being a boss ass bitch, tells him to chillax. they fly 90 down the road trying to figure out what’s wrong, where’s Damon, what’s happening. Bella thinks he’s dead, JJ is ready to rip heads off, Maisie is worried, and Matt just wants to go home.

anyways, they find Damon’s crashed ass beat busted up Mercedes in the middle of some random field. ofc this happened, why wouldn’t it? he is prime crashing and kidnapping material, if I saw a face like his i’d snatch him up to. this isn’t about me kidnapping him tho, this is about the book.

so yeah, the car is found but Damon is no where to be seen. again. all he does is fucking disappear like dude, get a grip it’s not hard to stay in one place. seek church or therapy for your ghostly disappearing issues and stop pissing me off. i love him so much.

with no Damon in the broken car JJ, Matt, and Bella start tweaking because holy fuck he’s gone… and that’s where the chapter ends. you get no more context and instead we suffer until next chapter.

my favorite storyline/moment: i liked the s2 storyline about the moonstone and elena being hunted by klaus for a ritual or whatever. also caroline's transition was *chef's kiss* and the bamon prison world arc. klaus and his hybrids, caroline's mother's cancer, dark!steroline, s2-3 forwood as they were bonding and growing into better characters because of each other and their relationship without it becoming their entire identity. also the whole Hunter thing in s4 (mostly because i liked cute island guy and connor). s3 klaroline, katherine's potential arc in s5 that was completely wasted on st*ferine.... also stefan/rebekah/klaus interactions in early s3 and klaus and stefan running off to kill ppl together that one summer, beklena hunting for the cure, STEFAN GETTING THROWN INTO THE QUARRY TO DROWN IN A SAFE

a story that never should have been written: listen the tyler!klaus storyline would have been interesting and entertaining (and a fun way for trevino to show off his acting skills the way nina dobrev had the chance to with katherine/elena) if the writers hadn't... done that. also the sirebond arc for DE was annoying as hell to me, as is katherine's gold mine of potential being wasted in s5. and enzo's arc in s6 (aka the writers had nothing to do with him so they just had him harass and kill woc) was a tragedy for a character i really liked.

my first thoughts on the show: lmao i literally had no intention of watching it ever because i thought it would be absolute garbage like twighlight

my thoughts now: idk what's happening and idc because look at all the pretty people

a ship i've never been able to get into: hosie, rafael/josie, holarke, sebastian/lizzie, also h*laric is awful like pls just don't lol. also i don't like raf/lizzie romantically but i wish they'd interact more. and i would definitely be more interested and invested in mizzie (i mean they're kinda steroline tbh) if lizzie didn't just constantly turn to him because he was romantically available in times when she was not in a good place... although i like how they do acknowledge this potentially problematic cycle and attempt to break it, and how m.g has always known lizzie as a loyal friend and admires/respects her/refuses to believe in the unwarranted criticisms of a well meaning girl who always tries to do better and never excuses her bad behavior... and how their relationship kinda parallels steroline but in reverse where m.g is the initially rejected party

a ship i've never been able to get over: HIZZIE, HANDON, klarohizzie if that counts lmao, the wasted potential of hafael

a cute, low-key ship: uhm hafael, hope/roman, lizzie/landon (lmao), jed/alyssa, kaleb/alyssa, jed/kaleb, lizzie/alyssa, hosie and posie i guess? hope/maya, hope/ethan, lizzie/ethan, josie/finch, cleo/kaleb, josie/jade, jed/ben (i haven't seen s4 but i know from gifsets that they'll be my otp soon :'))

a story that never should have happened: rafael being trapped in a prison world and being forced to accept it as a "happy" ending

RATING MLB SHIPS!

note; if you feel you may feel offended by my opinions please refrain from interacting with this post. these are just my opinions. thank u <3

adrinette (solid 2/10)

— this ship brings me so many icks i cant even tell you. so far into the series these two have no chemistry i’m sorry, i know marinette is all for adrien but tbh adrien could not care less laksmdnd he sees her as only a friend (best friend at most?) and at times marinette is just so creepy towards him. this isn’t the usual friends to lovers troupe at all so don’t start adrinette kinnies/j i just think marinette needs to understand her feelings aren’t reciprocated and move on. honestly their friendship is cute and i like it- but that’s about all.

ladynoir (8.5/10)

— the huge irony is that the love square are all the same people jsjsjsj. but anyways i definitely prefer this ship over adrinette, they work really well in battles and are great partners. however only cat noir has romantic feelings towards ladybug and although she has stated many times she’s in love with someone else cat noir chooses to pursue her despite her wishes of him not to. this can link similarly with the main issues of adrinette. but other than that they definitely have some great moments.

ladrien (7/10)

— as i’ve mentioned in my option abt adrinette & ladynoir in both ships the romantic feelings are both one sided. however, ladrien is the only love square angle where both people share the same romantic feelings. these two i feel are honestly overhated, sure they don’t really have any relationship growth at all because they are very giddy towards one another. but it’s honestly sweet. wholesome and sweet. but also boring. i do believe they are way overhated but they don’t really call to any interesting appeals.

marichat (9/10)

— i’m going to say this rn. the only way i’ll accept marinette and adrien getting together is if it happens through marichat. both marinette & catnoir have absolutely no romantic feelings towards one another, so therefore if in the future they both do develop feelings for each other they would have learned to love every aspect of their partner. (does that make sense idk if it does jsjsj) but yeah i actually love these two and the dynamic they have.

lukanette (7.5/10)

— spreading away from the love square we have these two babies! i love luka, he deserves the world. and honestly i like lukanette. at times with these two it felt like there was a chance marinette felt the same feelings towards luka that he did for her, but she was always to inflicted by adrien. in a world without adrien i believe they could’ve worked out.

adrigami (9/10)

— please the hate i’m abt to receive for this. i love adrigami. genuinely a good ship and dynamic. fencing gf & bf anyone?? they are extremely overhated and misunderstood. stan adrigami

ninya (10/10)

— we stan non toxic canon ships. alya and nino deserve the world. i haven’t met a single person who dislikes this ship. and as it should be <3

julerose (11/10)

— FUCKING GFS. i absolutely adore them. they are canon idc. the guilt trip episode >>>>>

— we need more scenes of them can i just say. anyways i love them so much, i want more of them.

Unexpected Secret

inspired by the tumblr post above!

this fic defies almost everyhting that is canon but its really cute and fluffy in my opinion so idc idc idc

Petra was furious.

I’m gonna kill her, Petra thought, mopping away the last of the dirt from the stables. I don’t care how but I’m going to make it look like an accident.

Petra was furious.

Putting her anger on the mop she had gripped in her fist she aggressively wiped the stable floors clean, but her thoughts were somewhere else. Y/N L/N was the reason why she was stuck cleaning the stables during a Friday night when she could’ve spent the day in the market with Oluo buying cute clothes or enjoying a new café or getting drunk or just about anything.

Petra loved her friend but no matter which way Petra tried to twist the situation, Y/N was the sole reason to blame. Y/N was the one who suggested getting drunk in her room that night, Y/N was the one who suggested the game, Y/N was the one who proposed the punishment, and Y/N was the one who called her a pussy for backing out, so of course Petra had to do it. Petra had to run through the hallway, from the stairway and back to the room naked.

It didn’t help that Y/N’s room was the farthest room from the stairwell. Petra didn’t have a problem getting naked around Y/N and their friends- they’ve seen each other’s bodies enough with the communal showers and the occasional first aid outside the walls. Petra isn’t ashamed of her own body either, she may look petite but she was hardened muscle from all the training she endured to become the one of the best. Though Y/N had her own private room as one of the Survey Corps’ Section Commander, her floor was also near the other superior’s private spaces.

Once Petra made it out, she dashed to the stairs as fast as she could before turning back and running like there was a titan behind her to the privacy and safety of Y/N’s room. Until Hange, Levi and Mike came out of Erwin’s room from their own private party only to stare at Petra like she was a dog with three heads.

Petra could’ve died right there. In fact, she would have preferred it if she did. Hange laughed (“Oh, it’s one of those nights, eh?), Levi looked away with disgust evident in his face and walked to another laughing Y/N, who witnessed the entire incident, instead. Mike just stood there with his brain probably short circuiting and nose occasionally twitching. To make matters worse, Erwin came outside to see what Hange was laughing about.

Petra looked up from her hard work and wiped her forehead. She smelled like horse shit and probably looked like one too. A few yards away from her clean stable stood Y/N and Eren together under the sun with Mikasa not so far running towards them.

Petra watched as Mikasa hastily put herself between Y/N and Eren with a glare on her face. Was it really a glare or was it just Mikasa’s usual stoic face? Petra didn’t care- a plan was slowly starting to form in her head.

Petra didn’t bother rushing to the cafeteria to get first in line like she usually would. Instead she ate some heavy snacks before and took her time. Thinking back, Y/N was the only one out of her superiors to sit on another table other than the space designated for them. She usually sat with Eren, with Levi occasionally joining them.

Once she strolled inside, the place was packed with soldiers along with hundreds of conversations going on at the same time. Perfect. Just as she planned. Just as she thought, Y/N and Eren were chatting away alone on one table with Mikasa several tables away shooting them looks every now and then.

Petra smiled. Victory tastes so sweet. She slowed down her steps and savored her way to victory as she walked over to Mikasa. “Oi, Mikasa.” she said obnoxiously loud, gathering the attention of several people.

Mikasa turned her head from Eren and Y/N’s table, and stared at her with her cold gray eyes. “Yes, Petra?”

Petra giggled, unable to keep her mood down. “Y’know, Y/N told me a secret.” She said, voice getting louder with every word.

Behind her, Petra heard Y/N speak. “Done from the stables, darling?”

Faint snickers from around the hall erupted. No doubt the story has already gone around. Petra felt a nerve in her head pop. That almost got her. Almost.

Ignoring the rest of the people, Mikasa kept her eyes on her. “What did she say?”

She crouched down and put a hand on her cheek like she was about to whisper. “She told me that she loves Eren, very, very much.”

Silence.

Utter silence.

From the corner of her eye she sees that Sasha had a spoon halfway through her mouth filled with seconds of today’s dinner, while Jean and Connie’s eyes were darting back and forth to her and Y/N, who had gone up from her seat and was walking towards her.

Petra stood back and let herself smile a truly evil smile. That’s what you get, Y/N. You bitch. To be honest, Y/N was probably going to beat her up. Petra didn’t care. She could try if Mikasa won’t get to her first.

Mikasa blinked. “Well, I sure hope so. Eren and I love her just as much.”

Wait- “What?”

That wasn’t the reaction she was expecting.

“Oi, oi, Mikasa. You’re going to make your mother cry. I’ve never heard you speak like that before.” Y/N clasped a hand on Petra’s shoulder. Y/N had this smirk as if asking oh is this what you planned?

Huh, wait- “Mother? You mean-”

At the same time, Mikasa looked at Y/N. “Okasan, I have told you I loved you many times.”

“What do you mean okasan- are you-?” Petra turned her head to Y/N.

Y/N leaned shifted her weight on one leg and crossed her arms. She was smiling, probably enjoying Petra’s confusion. “Yes. I am.”

“But-” Petra stuttered. “Eren too?”

“Yes.” Y/N laughed. Petra should’ve been furious, but at this point she was too focused on solving this familial situation she accidentally uncovered. Plus, everyone was listening in. They were curious too.

Petra shoved her hands in her hair. “They’re siblings?”

“Well, I thought we’ve established that before.” Y/N replied.

“But I thought- Mikasa was charging at you because you were with Eren just a while ago!”

Y/N deflated. “Oh, that. I was scolding the brat. He was reckless during the last expedition again. You’d remember, you were the one who saved him.” Fuck. Yes, Petra remembered very well. She almost lost her right hand because of that boy. “Mikasa just came over to protect her brother. I might’ve gone overboard too…”

“Then why isn’t Mikasa sitting with you?”

“Oh, I’ve been encouraging her to interact with people other than family. She barely has friends, y’know.”

“Don’t they have different last names?” Petra asked. She was losing her sanity.

“What, Jeager? L/N was my dad’s. Jeager my mother’s name, I had him when I was young. And, well, technically, Mikasa isn’t mine by blood.” Y/N sat down beside the girl and slung her arm around Mikasa. “She came with my marriage. She’s still my daughter though.” Petra saw Mikasa hide a smile under her scarf.

“Married?” Petra asked. “You’re married?”

“Yup,” Y/N replied, popping her words. “When are you and Oluo gonna tie the knot, by the way-”

Petra couldn't even be bothered to blush at the question. She saw Oluo choke on his food from their usual table though. “Is he in the military?”

“Yes. We met years before he was in the military though.”

“Is he in the Survey Corps?”

Y/N grinned. “Yes.”

“Is he a superior officer?”

Y/N’s smile grew wider. “Yes.”

Petra felt dread creep down her spine. “Is it Commander Smith?” If Petra really did just try to call out the commander’s wife in front of everyone, she’s dead meat. She’s probably gonna clean the stables on Fridays forever.

To her relief Y/N said, “Pssh, Mikasa isn’t blonde y’know.”

Petra was losing her patience. “Then who the fuck is it-”

“They literally have the same last name Petra.”

Silence.

Only this time, Petra wasn’t smiling. Her brain was probably overheated from all the information Y/N gave her.

“Oi, Petra” said Levi who was coming inside the cafeteria. “What the hell is going on?”

“Captain!” She squeaked, not expecting his voice. Perfect timing too.

“Don’t tease her anymore, Levi. It’s my fault, I was just telling her about our familial situation.” Y/N said.

“Tch,” Levi lightly slapped Y/N at the back of her head. “What happened to keeping it a secret?”

“Oh, well, they were bound to know anyway. Your son over there can’t keep his mouth shut, I’m surprised he lasted this long.” Y/N nodded to Eren back to her table while the latter hid his face on the table, occasionally banging his fist on the wood. “Though I didn’t expect them to find out this way though...and the entire Survey Corps for that matter.”

“You’ve caused us a nuisance.” Levi deadpanned at Y/N- at his wife? Petra was still trying to comprehend everything.

“Let’s go home.” Levi announced, heading out of the cafeteria. “I can’t stand to be stared at any longer. It’s making me feel like a pig with fucking wings.”

At the words of their Captain- Father?- Mikasa and Eren stood up and picked up their empty food trays.

Oh, that's right. Petra knew that Y/N and Levi had a separate house somewhere near their HQ; she just didn’t even consider the possibility that they were living together. Fuck, she has seen them leaving too, but she just assumed that they were walking each other because they lived in the same neighborhood or something.

Petra even spotted Mikasa and Y/N together in the market shopping for vegetables, but she thought it was only a kind gesture. Y/N can be like that sometimes. She even spotted Eren and Levi inside a cleaning shop when she was buying a new mop once. And Mikasa and Levi’s surnames? Petra didn’t even suspect anything because it was common knowledge in the Corps that two of their strongest soldiers had the same last name- had none of them suspected anything?

Looking around, Petra spotted similar confused faces like her own. Ah, so no one did.

She felt her legs give up on her and plopped on the seat Mikasa previously sat on. She watched as Levi, Y/N, and their children walked out the cafeteria with a blank stare. What the fuck just happened?

btww,,,the vibe of reader and petra here are like really close friends that tease each other a lot. i can understand why people think that petra seems like the “villain” here but i swear its just that kind of friendship 😭 im sorry if it didnt deliver properly but ill try better next time !!

a lot of people have been doing this so i decided why not right. probably gna lose some followers or smth but anyways. pls respect my opinions! if u disagree, thats fine, but please be polite. unless any of my opinions strikes u as morally wrong then pls point it out to me respectfully. thanks!

- i actually liked drew. im so sorry to everyone who hates her but full offence, why. think about it this way ok, first of all drew became hc because silena died. silena was the traitor, the one who betrayed chb, yet after she died campers celebrated her as a hero? and then drew suddenly has to replace her and live up to idk that legacy she left behind,, when all of a sudden this girl named piper swoops in and takes her place. idk abt u but i wld be salty abt that too. not only that, but as an asian, the chances of drew having faced racism/bullying as a child is pretty high (she studies at brooklyn academy). which means that when she finds out shes a demigod, and arrives at chb where most of the campers are white (this is an assumption btw), she’d obviously be scared of being bullied for her skin color right?? so the first thing she wld do before the campers get to bully her is to bully them before they can do so. (sentence structure here is wack i apologize) ofc this might not even have happened, drew could have had a perfect childhood && was a b1tch for no reason, BUT EVEN THEN HER ROLE AS A BULLY WAS PRETTY VITAL BECAUSE THAT FURTHER SHOWED THE CONTRAST BETWEEN HER AND PIPER,, HIGHLIGHTING PIPER AS A HERO//GOOD CHARACTER,, AND THEREFORE MAKING READERS LIKE PIPER MORE. anyway stop hating on drew please. ALSO WHY IS THIS SO LONGA SDFJHG

- jason isnt bland, the fandom just kinda erased his backstory (thanks to @pjohoo-memes for the phrasing lol)

- reynabeth wouldnt have lasted/would have broken up several times. idk i just see them as two extremely powerful characters who have firm opinions and will definitely clash at some point. in a platonic relationship,, i can see them as really good friends but as lovers? idk i just think theyll break up

- the seven were not best friends. they definitely argued,, and honestly probably werent as close as the fandom makes them seem. like ure dumped with 6 other people, out of which u only know a few. my introverted ass would have jumped off the argo 2 quicker than leo valdez could bomb camp jupiter up. also leo was a dick to frank. so what if frank is bigger sized?? thats not a valid reason to tease him

- the fandom needs to stop hating on octavian while worshipping luke. if u hate luke and u say u hate octavian too, then okay. but if u tell me ure a luke stan but u despise octavian?? imma disagree w u. luke was worse than octavian im sorry. first of all, octavian being a dick was kinda justified. hes been after the praetor position for so long, and everyone keeps saying to “wait for jason” when suddenly this dude, whos a son of NEPTUNE (neptune wasnt liked much by romans), and the camp decides to make him praetor?? dude i would be pissed off big time. and then afterwards, he finds out that greek demigods are real and the dude they made praetor is greek. AND THEN GREEK DEMIGODS COME TO CJ AND ONE OF THEM BOMB IT UP?? octavian has been told all his life that greeks are scum and this dude called leo valdez attacks cj. sure it was an accident, but did octavian know that? no. so it was honestly justified that he was such a salty prick im just saying. also some of yall be hating on octavian for cutting a teddy bear open and thats the funniest shit ive ever heard i swear

- luke didnt go to elysium

- travis and connor stoll r way too underrated. the two have been head counselors of the hermes cabin since luke was revealed as a traitor, can u imagine the stress? luke, the person they probably looked up to as a brother, betrayed them. and they didnt even have time to process this when they were thrown the roles of being hcs. that would have been so stressful and i would probably have broken down if i were them. the stoll brothers taking turns to wake up at ungodly hours because a new camper is crying and homesick and terrified, the stoll brothers having to comfort and take care of new campers, having to deal with the amount of people in that cramped space because not enough campers are being claimed fast enough. having to resolve issues between campers in the hermes cabin all the time. the stolls arent just comedic relief, and we need to stop treating them as such

- tratie shldve been canon idc idc

- demigods of the demeter cabin arent talked about enough and i love the fact that meg was demeters kid. like she isnt the child of one of the big three yet shes so powerful.

- we need to hype clarisse up more her character arc was phucking amazing

- rachel is overhated. sis found out greek gods exist and regularly come down to earth to fuck around and went “ok cool”. queen shit behavior methinks

- the floor 19 crew of mcga is srsly underrated. like do u even remember halfborn gunderson, mallory keen, tj, etc??? bc i feel like we only remember samirah, magnus, alex, and sometimes blitz and hearthstone

- sadie (tkc) was kinda annoying at first. i like her more now tho but i rmb not liking her for a phat while

- tkc and mcga need more love

- carter kane and jason grace arent boring. theyre just really sweet boys who are too good for this world and yes yes yes

- hazel and frank (especially frank) need to be hyped up more. i hardly ever see anything about them. also yall seem to forget that frank was literally made praetor and that even hecate admired hazel and was willing to fight beside her because of how powerful she was

- frazels age gap is kinda sketch but i still think theyre really cute

- nico definitely had trauma from going to tartarus on his own

- GROVER IS PERCYS BEST FRIEND

- annabeth isnt smarter than leo but neither is leo smarter than annabeth. ive seen a lot of discussions about who is smarter and heres my hot take on it: neither. theyre equally smart, just in different ways. leos a genius mathematically speaking. he has no issues solving math problems meant for people much, much older than him. annabeth on the otherhand, is great at strategies etc. she can make an army of 1000 more powerful than the enemy, even if theyre outnumbered. so in my opinion, both are equally as smart//u cant compare their intelligence, because their talents lie in two different areas.

- while i do agree rick riordan isnt a god and that hes bound to make mistakes,, AND that hes given us a lot of representation,, if the representation offends the people its sposed to represent, then theres a problem. im talking about piper as a poc and wearing feathers in her hair. im not a poc, so i cant speak for them on whether or not its wrong, because i dont know either. HOWEVER, i have seen multiple posts BY pocs talking about how they didnt really like rick’s representation of piper, and thats an issue. pocs have been and are still oppressed and discriminated against by many. as a white cis man, we cant really blame him for not knowing (tho he could have done a research,, asked some pocs,, idk), but by representing pocs in that manner, hes influencing impressionable kids/teens into thinking “oh pocs wear feathers in their hair all the time” etc, which isnt true. the pjo/hoo series is extremely successful, and kids who read the books will probably start forming inaccurate opinions on pocs. the amount of fan art that depicts piper with feathers in her hair dont help either. “but rick said so in the books, so its canon” yeah well rick isnt a god and he can get some things wrong at times. im not saying we should cancel him, im saying we should start educating ourselves and not spread false info like pocs wearing feathers in their hair all the time. also that snake song shit where she sang Summertime was just- yeah. bc heres the thing you can be racist, and still include minorities, but portray them in a racist way. And even then, ignorance isn't a thing to admire. Getting those facts wrong still has a major impact. It continues to perpetuate racist stereotypes.

- the fact that most of the strong female characters in the series refuse to be “girly”, and ngl i dont really like that. just because ure girly doesnt mean u cant be strong.

- piper would have been a great way for him to start making the strong characters act girlier, but instead he went with the “I’m not like other girls” trope which is quite obnoxious to hear constantly, and I don’t think it’s necessarily great for younger girls to read that idea growing up. the closest we've ever had to a strong female character who was also into "girly" things was Silena. when I was younger I admired Piper's "I'm not like other girls" thing, but then I got older and realized that the whole mentality of "not like other girls" is super obnoxious, and a little bit toxic

notice how i didn’t say “unpopular” because some of these are popular and i wanted to speak on behalf of most people in this fandom for where these opinions came from, to those acting like they’re qUiRky by hating on something :)

1. percy is NOT overrated and NOT underrated, he’s perfectly fine where he is. i’ve seen multiple of you out there saying percy is overrated, but HE IS THE REASON WHY YOU LIKE PJO BETTER THAN HOO AND TOA - but yea fellow percy stans stop attacking people when they say their opinions- (ngl im kind of a hypocrite because i take these things PERSONALLYYY but i just don’t say them, keep mean words to yourself y’all)

2. octavian deserves each and every hate comment. are we just gonna ignore that he was a power hungry, emotionless dude who blackmailed hazel with some very sensitive topics?? sis go straight to the field of punishment, idc idc he’s just a little better than luke, no redemption arc possible

3. luke was NOT a hero. he deserves to go rot in tartarus for all i care- to all you (hopefully) nonexistent annal*ke shippers: bring me some bleach, i really need some

4. toa is overhated. apollo was annoying asf in the first book and i haven’t even read ToN but i’m looking for some character development- JASON DIDN’T DIE FOR NOTHING I HOPE-

5. jason is not bland, the fandom collectively just erased his entire backstory like hon i- also please stop comparing him and percy, jason is a different character :)

6. reyna joining the hunters was not thatttt ooc, she just pulled a bianca, but she will definitely leave sometime soon

7. theyna is a cute concept but PLEASE RESPECT THEIR SEXUALITIES STOP SHIPPING THEM THANKS

8. frazel is not that bad but the age gap was kinda sketch, they also aren’t sweet little cinammon rolls and they’re both super powerful and praetor goals so

9. all the gods are assholes except hephaestus and hestia. there, i said it.

10. i still hate perachel. they aren’t cute at all and they would never have lasted- y’all hating on aang (A 12 YEAR OLD AT THE TIME) for kissing katara without her consent while RACHEL LITERALLY DID THE SAME THING

11. pernico is a bit better but the fanart is making me barf- istg nico literally said he didn’t like percy anymore and they don’t even like each other that much

12. leo was an asshole to frank while frank was a justified asshole to leo.

13. i really don’t like liper preyna and lazel, they’re very weird and platonic

14. jeyna had potential, someone has to write a fic from reyna’s pov about jiper, lemme cry my eyes out

15. piper is soo overhated, did she not kill enough goddesses for you-

16. jiper is kinda sus because hera literally made it but they’re such a power couple. i applaud rick for the breakup tho (NOT JASON’S DEATH), that was super realistic and piper being an aphrodite kid really added to the meaning

17. SoN and the og trio is underrated!!

18. the “not my type” joke is the most bland and annoying joke in the history of jokes- percy just thought that nico hated him for the longest time and nico came out to them with that at the same time so

20. annabeth was a justified bitch and she’s my queen- y’all are attacking her for her abandonment issues from luke (f u btw) and her “toxicity” against rachel, i thought it was hilarious. i haven’t read the entire hp series but she’s better representation for girls so far compared to hermione!

21. percabeth is the best developed couple i’ve ever seen and they are so cute like CHILLS MY DUDE WITH THE FANFICS AND FANART- they aren’t too unrealistic tho, they went through their ups and downs. toxic is a whole different thing, they were never really toxic

22. i don’t really like a lot of the percabeth au fanfics like mine atm since they’re kinda boring at times but i still read them because i like seeing how people weave in character traits and events- you can literally predict the plot (rachel and luke are love interests, one of them gets hurt and yadayadayada) but there’s some plot twist which is always interesting tho

23. caleo isn’t toxic, cal just doesn’t have any social skills from being sTRANDED ON AN ISLAND FOR ETERNITY- it shouldn’t have existed since i want leo to be single (sorry) but it was good for their characters ig

24. thalia and percy’s fight was really good.

25. percy, leo, and nico aren’t really good friends, they wanted to strangle each other a lot. remember that percy’s bestie is grover.

26. drew was annoying. as an asian girl who could only cosplay her for my life, stop asking for a redemption arc, i like the type of people she represents

27. chiron is underrated

28. i loved kane chronicles! the last book was not as good but red pyramid was one of my favs. zarter is adorablee and zia can step on me and i would say thank you. i really liked sanubis but once they merged i was like uh wtf 👁👄👁

29. magnus chase was kinda boring at times- the last book with magnus’ speech that defeated loki was kinda cringe but i really liked hearthstone and blitz. fierrochase is also one of my favs, rick handled alex pretty well

30. sally and leo are a bit overrated- SORRY DON’T ATTACK ME I LOVE THEM BUT THEY ARE TOO LIKED IN THIS FANDOM

31. i don’t think any demigod is more powerful than another. they all have really strong powers but each of them has a lot of negatives WHICH IS WHY THEY’RE PERFECT THE WAY THEY ARE. also, in general, stop asking for so many redemption arcs, i love redemption arcs but some characters must stay flawed and bad. if you want a good one, zuko from atla’s is perfection

32. my favorite characters are percy, annabeth, sadie, and magnus. i like other characters too, but there are so many characters i like to the point where i forget about them so this is all i remember (i need to reread LMFAO-)

33. this might be controversial but i really don’t like any of the noncanon ships in any fandom? like unless the canon ships are that horrible, i do not ship any noncanon ships. you have a perfectly fine canon ship there with a lot of content but you have to go out of your way to ship two other characters?? chile 😔🤚

34. last but not least, MR. RICK RIORDAN IS NOT A GOD. stop cancelling him for the smallest of things, he’s not perfect like the rest of us and stop getting mad at his representation, be happy he has it in the first place.

I'm on my Legacies bullshit today so here, have some ideas on how the show could be better (and feel free to add onto them - though please note I don't encourage hate towards any overhated character, especially Landon):

- This one we can all agree on, fucking let go of Malivore already!

- This one is a controversial take, I already know it, but have Hope leave the school and spend some time with her fam (whether that's onscreen or not). She's 20 now, why is she still in school anyways?

- Spend some more time on your male characters. I know we all love our girls but basically every dude on this show has gotten zero character development

- Now, hear me out here: Introduce demons, throw a little Charmed into the mix. Three shows into the TVDU and you still haven't really gone in on Siphoners and general witch lore (IMO)

- Give the werewolves some more screentime, das it

- Start mixing up the friend groups for some refreshing content. Give me sum Landon, Kaleb, and Jed. More Josie and Ethan. MG and Cleo? Lizzie and Kaleb (they are literally so similar it kills me)

- Get some more seriousness into the show. I hate to say this because I liked him, but I think they should have killed off Raf for real. We're three seasons in and the only person that has for real died is Chad. There are no stakes. And it's not like Raf couldn't have made cameos in flashbacks or as a ghost if they really wanted to show him one more time before the show ended

- Focus more on the students and less on the monsters. Why does Malivore have more development than his own son who is a main on the show?

- Give Kaleb a backstory already. How was he turned? Is his family cool with it? What about Jed? How did he trigger his curse? AND WHAT ABOUT MY MAN WADE?! Is he an orphan? Does he have fairy parents somewhere? Why did they have to give him those ridiculous plastic wings? Is anyone gonna play D&D with him?!

- I want Dorian and Emma back at the school. They had more of a handle on the students than Alaric ever did.

- IDC what anyone says about this but I would absolutely not mind another Jeremy cameo. I would encourage it. The last one was not long enough. Have him substitude teach for an ep. Yes, I am a Jeremy stan and what about it?

- Remember the s1 finale? I want those vibes again.

- Actually have Lizzie address her issues more. Just telling Hope or MG that she's sad about Josie leaving doesn't make her abandonment issues go poof
