finished reading stormlight this week and now im just like... well now what. like that was four 50 hour long audiobooks i listened to. wtf am i gonna do now

i’m halfway through Men Without Women and, as usual, Murakami’s prose is impecable. i’ve only read one novella by him but i’ve read many of his short stories (im usually at uni when i get out of my reading slump so i prefer shorter works bc if not i’ll just binge the book and not do anything else) and i love his style of magical realism most. i’ve enjoyed most of the stories, but with me it’s the never ending story of his depiction of women. but i’m pretty used to that already so once you get past it, they’re really interesting stories as expected.

ALSO, i’m going to my mom’s house in a few days to pick up pochacco and kuromi and im ecstatic!! so expect the pics

I, me, yes I also write a lot of fan fics. I still do it, even tho I am focused on my book atm. So I was wondering how you feel about the difference in audience?

I am not big in my fandom but big enough to get constant interaction with people, especially when I post something. However, I haven't got that yet writing original fiction. I... am struggling a little with the reduce "fame" for the lack of a better word. I feel so insecure all the time about my writing, as I have never published something and yeah I am just very new to writing original fiction. So I wanted to know your experience with it and how you deal with the difference between fan fic audience and original fiction audience. I hope that made sense, it was hard to form a thought hahah. firstly this is such a great discussion/question, and i have already recorded a podcast episode about it hehe (i got excited).

but to give u a bit of an answer now i would say there's DEFINITELY a difference in audience. of course i do love the writing community and the ways ppl champion others' wips/writing even without having read the whole thing or anything like that. i especially love events like nanowrimo and equivalents cos it really brings everyone together.

but, it does feel undeniably lonely, far more so than fandom where you build up mutuals and a following because of your shared passion for the characters + piece of media you're all invested in.

here i feel like im sort of shouting into the void sometimes and that no one really cares,, which makes me miss fandom at times 😭

hahah yeap everyday unfortunately. on good days though it only takes about an hour 20 or an hour & a half so i cross my fingers & hope for the best each time lol 😄. it ends in August which seems long to me but i'm hoping these months will pass by in a flash 😆. other than the travel time, the work culture & environment is not so bad so i guess that's a plus, but, you never really know what life has in store for you ╮(︶︿︶)╭

lmao its so funny that i was so shocked of your travel time when i suddenly remember that during my senior year i used to inter for a company outside the city so i literally have to cross borders before the crack of dawn which was wild bc how did i survive that?? anyway, it was just a month a half or two so it wasn't much. the job was okay too so fatigue all came from the commute (tho reading a book durinf a long ride kept me company, maybe you should try it to!) i'm glad that the work didn't add to your problems tho i'm sure you can handle anything thrown at you ;) and yes i agree, nature has its way of rocking our steady boats but im sure youll be able to cope and overcome it (if it gets too tough always rmbr that my asks is always open for rants!)

OMG REALLY! THATS SOOO FUN japanese people are very respectful so ig thats why your sensei always praises you or perhaps you were good. contrary, my sensei was sassy 🥶 lmaooo he points out mistakes and is very particular with pronunciation and clarity of words so when we recite in class it always gives me the nervesss. the only time i was able to connect my classes to anime is through the characters names like yuki means snow and yuki from fruits basket has gray-white hair and is deemed cold or yoru means night asa means morning and that shows the duality of yoru and asa in chainsaw man lol smth like that. Hmm I like a lot of different food too! And trying different countries food is always exciting to me so I like a little of everything. My favs is usually Japanese dishes or asian ones but specifically—I LOVE duck (the chinese ones in particular but also the seared foie gras), grilled meat 😅, sushi, udon (noodles are usually always a win), korean fried chicken or karaage. Randomly, I also like al pastor tacos, a good sandwich (roast beef is my go to ^^ ), samosas, hot pot, most potato things, cheese in general esp. gouda or goat!... I'll stop now hahaha. Heh I totally get you! I honestly have no idea if there's a difference between italian panettone and the one we eat here 🤔 Empanadas can be either fried or oven baked!! They have a lot of variations between each southamerican country, in places like Colombia for example they always eat them fried, but here it's more common to have them baked as far as I know! Yeah locro is really comforting, carefully crafted to eat during winter >:) the tradition is eating it on may 25th, one of our two patriotic dates. Alfajores are heavenly!! I'm pretty sure they aren't very easy to find in other countries but if you ever stumble upon them and you're craving something sweet, I couldn't recommend them enough!

My mom is a baker that works from home (studied it professionally and all) but I admit I'm not much of a baker/cook myself 😅 I do enjoy cooking and if I'm given a detailed recipe there's a good chance I'll do mostly good, but for some reason I'm not very drawn to the kitchen. I do want to start cooking more tho, I just don't have much initiative. What about you?

Ooohh I think I've never tried duck now that I think about it 🤔 I want to try it now!! I haven't had the chance to try a big amount of asian dishes but I loved the ones I did try <3 i also love sushi and noodles!! Ohh korean fried chicken sounds delicious! I went to a korean food fair a few weeks ago with some friends and my favorite were the tteokbokki and the bulgogi 🤤

Oh I also adore tacos and anything with potato and cheese in it LMAOOO honestly idk if i have favorite drinks, I mostly like cappuccino and hot cocoa. When it comes to cold drinks, I'm fine with water or diet coke. I also like freshly squeezed orange juice 🧡

Oh you read Jane Austen for school?? Lucky you! We didn't read anything remotely similar in my high school, and then in uni my english literature teacher didn't like her books so we didn't read them 😭 I ended up reading pride and prejudice for another completely different class later on, and now I'm reading sense and sensibility by myself!

Oh I do read some fanfics from time to time, but definitely not with the consistency most people on fandoms do. Once in a blue moon I get obsessed with a character or a ship during like one evening and then spend the rest of the night searching for fanfics. I have bad luck at finding ones that actually catch my attention so I don't do it often.

Obviously this doesn't mean I don't like sets with stronger or vibrant colors!! As long as there's harmony between them, any color combos will be great :') I also love gifsets with big, clear and crispy gifs! You see a lot of them now that tumblr has updated their size limit lol

What inspires me to create is mostly the process, which I usually enjoy a lot (unless I'm creatively stuck, then not so much hahaha). I also love looking at other's creations and seeing if I can make something as beautiful! The challenges from animangacreators are also very helpful when I wanna make something and I don't know what ;)

Stream of consciousness

Hello! Today has been a rough day I woke up at 5am but I didn't get out of bed so I fell asleep again! Oh! yesterday dinner was so good my mom is great at the kitchen. Tomorrow I have a soccer game im so excited for that! Well anyways after I fall asleep my dad came to my room to wake me up again because I was late for school. My mother cooked yesterday spaghetti with tomato sauce it was absolutely delicious. If we don't win the game we are out of the championship! Also I almost forgot to tell you I have been reading a lot Catcher in the Rye. I get to go home in an hour im so tired, I arrived late to school because I fall asleep one more late and im getting a negative annotation. Anyways I have two chapters left of the book and by far im loving it. I should pay attention to class so I will be posting later in the blog! I hope my mom cooks a great dinner today too! I will help her tho.

🔮Baby Witches: anything by Arin Murphy Hiscock (Green Witch, The Witches Book of Self Care) or Sarah Bartlett (Little Book of Practical Magic in particular) as they explain a lot of general stuff and aren't tied to any specific religious path as opposed to Buckland's books which are great but heavily based in Wiccan practice

🔮A Witches Book of Answers by Eileen Holland and Cerelia - this ones pretty dated (2003 🙄) but covers a whole bunch of topics; useful for both baby witch questions and more advanced specific questions. It is more focused on wiccan practices and this bias does come through in some areas but overall pretty useful if you can still find it anywhere haha

🧿Symbols of the Occult by Eric Chaline is great for identifying symbols across a whole range of practices/cultures (much easier than trying to google them lol) including ancient symbolism, medieval alchemy as well as modern symbolism - useful if you are going to be reading any older grimoires like the Book of Oberon etc

🧿Magical Symbols and Alphabets by Sandra Kynes is also great not only for identifying stuff but its far more practical and she goes into a lot of detail on fixed stars, the ogham and runes - I haven’t read any books specifically on these topics so the fact that this book contained so much was really exciting

💎The Book of Stones by Robert Simmons and Naisha Ahsian is the best crystals book I have read hands down because it covers both the scientific and spiritual properties - its also huge (like 400 different rock varieties or something). Good for both individual identification and correspondences/uses.

🌱not strictly a witch book BUT Verinder’s The Plant Clinic is really good for herbology/kitchen witchcraft/ specifically edible plants rather than those for spells/non edible offerings etc) I found as unlike basically all the other books I have which focus on the spiritual significance of plants it came at it from a more scientific perspective and still very practical

🌱for witchier herbology tho Herbal Magic by Gerina Dunwich and The Modern Witchcraft Guide to Magical Herbs by Judy Ann Nock were pretty detailed and talk about herbal divination/spells as well as describing individual plant uses

🧙‍♀️Missing Witches by Risa Dickens and Amy Torok - its written so beautifully??? This one isn't so much for practical use but a feminist history of witchy women structured to follow the wheel of the year and just *chefs kiss* They also have a podcast by the same name if u don't want to read words.

🧙‍♀️Im currently reading this really chonky book just called Witchcraft by Jessica Hundley (I think its part of the Library of Esoterica series) and idk how practical it is but its really pretty and has more academia/witch history vibes

Ideal dates : these are dates he plans up ahead, makes sure they go smoothly and you're both are having fun. He really looks forward to these dates, they're like an event for him. He saves them up for important occasions like your anniversary, valentine's day, birthday, etc.

1. Romantic dinner by candle lights: he's a sucker for classics and romance cliches. Once a month or so, when you're both free. He'd make a reservation at a fancy restaurant, a secluded table with multiple candles and a nice view of the night sky waiting for you.

You'd both dress us, he'd be a gentleman all the way and open the doors for you, tell you how precious you look while kissing your hand. Maybe even a bouquet of fresh flowers if he's feeling extra.

The night would be spent quietly, talking while drinking wine as your food is getting ready. You two could talk together forever and not get bored, he also could listen to you talk about your passions all day.

At dessert time, he slowly falls in love with you again when you offer him a piece of yours, he'll gladly eat it off your fork. You hold hands under the table and he circles his thumb against yours.

When going home, he'd wrap his arm around your waist, your head on his shoulder. It's the perfect night.

2. Picnic near the lake at sunset, ends with stargazing: this usually takes place in spring or summer, maybe even autumn. When the weather is just perfect and the sky is just clear enough. You both prepare a basket before hand, he wears a light blue shirt to match his eyes.

You arrive around lunch time, having picked a nice place under a tree to shield you from the sun. The sound of children playing in the distance quieting down as time goes on. You both prepared each other's favourite food before hand.

It's around sunset when he wraps the blanket you bought with you around you, the wind having picked up. He kisses your forehead before pulling you closer to his side. You watch the sunset together as the ducks in the lake swim lazily around.

When it's completely dark, is when you finally lay down together, facing the sky. You point to a certain formation and he tangles his fingers with yours before guiding them to the next, he knows a lot about the stars. He shows you the fading ones who's only remains are ghosts of their pasts, he also shows you the newly formed ones who's light is just reaching us.

With your head on his chest, his calm deep voice talking about the stars and the warmth the blanket is offering, you fall asleep.

You wake up in the passenger seat on the ride home, glancing to the side you can see him driving with a smile on his face, he looks happy, relaxed even. You go back to sleep.

3. Going to see a musical together: it's one of the dates he really looks forward too, he's actually a huge musicals nerd but only his close friends know that. So what's better than mixing his favourite thing to watch with his favourite person? You!

He knows the tickets are expensive but he promises you it's worth the inconvenience, so you book two seats online.

When you arrive, you sit next to each other while the room is slowly getting filled. You can hear the actors getting ready off-stage but can't make out what they're saying. Erwin is next to you looking through the play flyer they gave and explaining the story to you.

That day, is the most day you've seen Erwin laugh from the depth of his heart. He'd look at you each time something really funny happens. Squeeze your hand a bit whenever an intense scene is happening. Bring your hand against his lips for a second when a romantic scene is happening.

He's just fully emerged into it. When you see the shine in his eyes, the way his lips curl up just a bit, is when you realise how beautiful Musicals are.

It becames a habit to visit one each year on his birthday.

4. Go to a museum or an art gallery: one thing you've learned from being with Erwin, is that he can turn the most boring things interesting. He just has a way with words and a matching deep voice to go with it, he could read the ingredients on the back of a shampoo bottle and you'd still listen.

Naturally, it was just a matter of time before one of you suggested visiting a museum. You pick a day when not a lot of people would be there.

He makes it fun, interesting and actually educational. You've been walking peacefully in long corridors with paintings and other forms of art displayed around each corner. He seems to have endless knowledge about each piece, telling you both a secret funny fact about it and a base knowledge.

The perfect tour guide, he encourages you to participate and even guess information based on the art and how it makes you feel. He smiles whenever you get something right and chuckles when you don't, it's a win-win situation.

5. Horseback riding: this one happens whenever you visit his parents who retired in the country side, they're really lovely people and seem to genuinely like you. Not to mention how Erwin just shows you off proudly to his parents like you're made out of pure gold.

It's a quiet small town that makes you forget about the city, the air is refreshing and the people are kind, the patries are delicious and the baker is kind. You two could get lost walking near fields of flowers for hours.

He assures you that you have all the time to try everything else, for now he's excited to show you something he's been doing since he was a kid.

The people at the stable seem to recognise him, even the horses are kinder to him than you. You're a bit jealous you won't lie, but he just guides through befriending a certain white horse with braids in it's hair. You even manage to feed them some sugar cubes.

You've underestimate just how tall a horse is, so now when faced with the option to ride on its back you almost back away. Meanwhile Erwin looks really natural and comfortable just getting on one, is this the same man who didn't know you could turn your phone screen sideways till you showed him?

So you end up sharing a horse, he wraps your hands around his waist and tells you to trust him, it will be okay. And just when a glimmer of hope rises in your heart that maybe this isn't as scary as you thought, that man somehow makes the horse go so fast it almost rivals the speed of sound, at least in your mind it did.

It's the most fun and adventures date so far, your heart is pumping by the end of the day as adrenaline runs through your veins. You're both panting and he seems like a kid on Christmas.

Thankfully his parents somehow foresaw this happening and prepared dinner for both of you while apologising for their son. Soon enough, they arm you with enough embarrassing childhood stories about Erwin for later use.

6. Visiting historical spots: it's something his father suggested to you both while you're getting the car ready to drive home. Soon enough you were discussing it while on the road and both of you seemed to be on-board.

It's an actually entirely different experience to see these places in person than in photos in school history books. Everything is so much bigger than you expected, so much older and all the details.

You can see all the different angles just by walking around, both of you seem to be entranced at just how strangely alluring it is to see this great build and know it's more than 500 years old, even Erwin seems to be lost for words for once.

The memories you made, the silly photos you took, the places you held hand and kissed in. It's all was just so lovely. And so it becomes a yearly tradition that you both save up for.

The Last Olympian Thoughts

So because I have absolutely 0 self-control or restraint when it comes to this series and its characters, and for The Last Olympian in particular, I could not put TLO down. Because of this I figured I couldn’t do the usual photo reaction posts I have been so far, because the spam would just be ridiculous, so I am stealing the idea from @yourstrulytaaay​ to do a masterpost instead. (Adding a Read More cause this got ridiculously long)

Fun fact, TLO came out right after i finished reading the series for the first time so it's the first PJO book i bought  and my only hard cover one for the og series. I checked the year and turns out it was published 2009, which means i was actually 9 when i read the series for the first time. I realize this is not really a fun fact but i thought i was older when I first read the series so it's blowing my mind a little ‘cause now I’m 21 and everything hits different and i still have so much love for this series and the characters Okay onto book thoughts: - i was right that this book is gonna destroy me, the first line alone made me so excited and nostalgic it's ridiculous - I love Rachel and Percy sm tbh. Her being a bit of peace and normalcy in his life without always reminding Percy of who and what he is is so good for him. Just a little escape

- of course by the end of the book that's not the case any more but by the end he's lived his prophecy so he doesn't need it as badly, plus he and Annabeth are solid again - Percy saying Annabeth has been hard to be around lately... Ouch my heart. Luke really is the last thing that keeps them from being together and Percy is so jealous and Annabeth so torn and in pain, i feel so bad for them both

- Beckendorf 🥺🥺 - the telkhine with the Lil Demon lunchbox!! I forgot about him. Percy: 'i left him alive, partly because his lunchbox was cool' is one of my absolute favourite lines tbh - Paul taking Percy crabbing and being imperative in helping Percy kill the giant crab 💖 Paul Blofis is important and deserves the world, okay? - aw Percy, you can't save every demigod bb

- 'i had to fight him eventually. Why not now?... What difference would a week make?' Oh Percy you have no idea - real talk tho, the fact Kronos possessed Luke's body would also mess me tf up. Percy keeps forgetting it's not Luke anymore and yeah, that would be so so hard and confusing af, like what another smart little mind game for Kronos to pull on top of everything else - the fact Percy fights Kronos before getting the Achilles Curse and actually doesn't die within seconds is... Astounding. He kicks him in the chest! And yeah Kronos is weaker and still adjusting to Luke's body, but Percy is having trouble fighting Luke cause they used to be friends - Percy breaks Kronos' time magic!! Like?! Boy is POWERFUL.

- OUCH - honestly Luke, Thalia and Annabeth's family breaking the way it did... Don't talk to me. Poor Annabeth, Luke betrayed them, Thalia joined the Hunters because of Luke's betrayal so she's pretty much AWOL all the time and then Luke dies. Like Rick wtf, my heart can't take it? -Percy and Tyson having each others backs when talking to Poseidon in the underwater palace is the brother-brother relationship we love to see - Percy trying to stick a sand dollar in the vending machines at school 🤦🏻‍♀🤦🏻‍♀ - the whole underwater interaction at Poseidon's palace? Perfection. Awkward family drama and all - Connor falling out of the tree when he sees Percy because he's so excited 😂😂

- k, ik Clarisse isn't perfect but tbh if i was a child of Ares whose father was disrespected and hated by my fellow campers (ares deserves it but still) and that disrespect trickled down to how the other campers treated ME (which if Percy is reliable here, it obviously does) then i would also be irritated at being used for muscle and nothing else? And just expected to fight with the people who act as if they'd rather not have Ares kids around the rest of the time. Such great buildup and pacing. All the tricks and twists and battles in this War of Manhattan? I would not take out a thing, Rick, you legend - of course then the final battle in hoo with the gods is what? Two pages? Ugh, don’t talk to me about my hatred for BoO and HoO - 'no detours you two' is still the cutest thing!!! - THE HUNTERS!! Thalia i missed you - good job Percy, you finally spent your sand dollar - Minotaur!! - 'dont i get a kiss for luck? Its kind of a tradition right?' Percy finds out he's gonna die and is out of fucks to give and honestly I support him - also Michael just standing beside these two while they're flirting like umm 👀 👀 while a monster army marches towards them, nbd - Annabeth taking Ethan's knife meant for Percy!!! Cause she just knows his weak spot without him even telling her! They literally invented love - Feral Percy is so scary omg, i love how well Rick incorporates the Achilles Curse in this novel, with the whole heightened weaknesses and stuff ans the parallels to Achilles arrogance being what killed him and Percy's loyalty, fierceness and protective instinct being his own heightened weakness - the fact that Percy is the one who inadvertantly kills Michael Yew tho, I'll never recover from that - the fact Hades offers Maria di Angelo a golden palace by the Styx like how Poseidon offers Sally a palace under the sea tho. Let's talk about that parallel - the entire talk with Prometheus is so so good - not me picturing young Luke hiding in the closet to get away from his mom when she has an 'episode' -i love callbacks in stories and all of the callbacks to the rest of the series in this book make me very happy (medusa, minotaur, the underworld, Rainbow!! My baby!!, Daedalus and more) - Percy summoning a wholeass hurricane against Hyperion - the Party Ponies! Ik her and Luke were finished and she coped by cutting him off completely and giving up all hope but i would pay money to know what they would have said to each other to say goodbye - Ethan 🥺 - Poseidon joining the fight against Typhon is so cool, such a great scene - 'PEANUT BUTTER!' - Annabeth you brilliant badass you - RIP Luke, you werent great but you werent the worst either - the gods just rolling up seconds too late, wondering wtf happened in Olympus and who the dead body is - the chapter where the Olympians meet and give out rewards is one of my absolute favourites (again i am incensed we didn't get anything like this in HoO) - will Percy turning down immortality ever not make me scream in glee? No? Alright then - Annabeth being relieved like Percy was relieved at the end of Titan's Curse tho - oh Hermes :/ - its so hard reading all this and knowing what comes in HoO... Like it's such a cathartic, earned and mostly happy and peaceful ending and then HoO comes along and undermines it all - aww Rick let Paul see Olympus somehow pls, he deserves it, he killed a dracanae - (i would also love to see it) - Percy being more upset Rachel took his pegasus than her going to Camp and possibly dying, lol, priorities dude - i honestly think that Rick had other ideas for the second Great Prophecy and how things would go down in BoO, cause the prophecy like... Barely applies to BoO, Doors of Death are in book four, and explabations of it is all so unclear when Rick is usually pretty good with that stuff - PERCABETH - lol Percy complaining about privacy when he and Annabeth are caught kissing literally in the middle of the very open and public dining pavilion, okay - BEST UNDERWATER KISS OF ALL TIME - that's it and im a glass case of emotion - very happy to say that this series remains my favourite of all time 💖

okay let's break it down

TLH: it was hard to read for me for a while because the writing is so different than pjo and the third person pov (which dgw i usually prefer butvi had just gotten used to the first person pov of pjo) and the lack of percy and me,,,, not liking jason so much.

okay listen i dont have anything against jason, he's simply too perfect and idk kinda boring to me personally (no hate to the dude tho he's just not for me)

however i did end up enjoying it cause i loved piper and leo and the storyline was cool. still not one of my faves tho

SON: it may had taken me a long time to finish but i really loved this book. it was nice to go back to percy and his pov i love him so much. hazel and frank are really cool characters i really loved them and the dynamic between the three was so cute. also percy only remembering annabeth,,,, i will cry

moa: i mean i read 100 pages idk if my opinion matters but so far im loving it. i read the first annabeth and leo chapters and let me just tell you? the whole thing with sammy and leo is intriguing me because i did not get spoiled on that however I have some theories

also im very excited to see the dynamics between the seven cause goddamn, really interesting plot i think im gonna love this one the most

it may be a little biased but i like the bad bitch baal agenda ahahahahahhaha— i’m not too sure about the ‘benevolent’ part but i feel like she definitely has her reasons. on a more technical side of things, i have reasons to believe that baal wouldn’t be the justified villain in the narrative. first and foremost, contrast. we have yet to encounter a ‘selfish’ god though their existence have long been established. second, it would be a great way to introduce conflict. we just came from the part of the story where mc finds out that their twin is the abyss leader. while i’m sure they have dont agree w their mission *yet*, i also think that of all people, it’s the mc who would understand that there is a valid reason for their twin’s actions even if they might not know it yet. to introduce a cruel god would make them doubt what they have seen so far in mond and liyue. are the archons truly ‘good’ as what they are made out to be? exactly what is stopping zhongli from talking abt 500 years ago? all these would also effectively turn the story into smth w a darker tone and i think inazuma would be a great place to start if we’re talking abt a shift in povs. secretly kind and borderline kuudere/tsundere boss lady baal is cute to think about but i dont think her being playable is enough reason to push that concept forward as mhy also kills alr playable characters in their game. it doesnt make sense but it still happens so 🤷‍♀️

But he also recognizes that she needed intimacy too… and just holds her as she cries. What a turning point in their relationship!!! Okay!! So forgive me bc it's been a hot minute since I've read tale of beauty's prince / beast within, but!! This portrays Beast getting cursed as an adult for one. He's friends with Gaston, the Enchantress is his romantic interest at first but then he realizes she's not rich and is cruel to her, so she curses him. Gaston and Adam were rather close, and the onset of the curse is gradual from what I remember- so he slowly starts getting hairier, looking like he's aging more--

he has a portrait/mirror/something i cant quite remember that shows how he'd look but he's too afraid to look at it i think? Sorry its been so long since i read this but it was a great view into adam's psyche. I didn't really like how they made him get cursed as an adult because in the original fairytale he's a child, even though the whole enchantress love interest thing wouldve been gross (tho the enchantress is implied to have had romantic intent in the original tale, even tho adam is A CHILD)

Also the enchantress has sisters who meddle in the curse and taunt Adam a lot, and try to prevent Belle from breaking the curse. The sisters are recurring characters in the series as far as im aware!! It's really slow-going at the beginning as the curse onsets gradually but it's good to read still, it's not a boring read at all despite things taking a slow pace.

Makes sense that Disney decided to re-tell his story with him being cursed as an adult for this series since that leaves him fully accountable for his bullshit. I feel like that version of events aligns better with Descendants than the movie version (mind you, it’s been ages since I saw the movie, so I could be wrong). In particular, what you mention about how he rejects the Enchantress because she’s not rich is perfectly in line with what I’d expect of Descendants!Beast, seeing as how we never see anyone poor in Auradon, so.... hmmMMMM.

I’m super excited to get into this series. Thank you for telling me about this one! I can’t wait to read it. I’m gonna dig into the Cruella book first and foremost, but I’m absolutely adding the Beast one to my list for the new year. ♥
