I finally asked for my silkworm cocoons at museum collections service, my dudes!
My collegues: ''Oh, why do you need it?''
My soul: "These are offerings for Athena, may be Circé and probably to try magical things or spirit communication, and a perfect symbol of the land''
My real answer: ''I love nature curios!''
No seriously, this exhibition about silk workers in Lyon at the beginning of the century is a blessing.
My city, beside of the Lion ( which is not an original symbol of Lyon ('' Lugh-On'') was famous for silk work at Renaissance, under impulse of Napoléon, and also for the roses culture. we even have a suspended garden at work, based on vegetal symbolism of the XVIth, that's why I would love work with roses and offer it more often.
The origin of the name Lugdunum is not very clear. Some says it means Hill of Lugh, gaulish god of light and crafts, or Hill of the Light, but romans thought it meant ''Hill of the crows'' cause they saw crows when they founded the city.
And this hill, we call today Fourvière was probably the temple of the Juno-Jupiter-Mercury triad (i'm not sure) archeologists believed for a long time it was a sanctuaire for Cybele, but others disagree! Today, it's still connected to light, la Basilique de Fourvière, consecrated to Mary the Virgin. She was prayed for healing the plague, and Lyonnais celebrate it 8th december by lightning candles everywhere with Big light shows in the street.
Oh and I haven't even spoken of the legends ..we have a beautiful Park, Parc de la Tête d'or (''golden head'' of a legendary statue of Christ hidden in the Park), we have a dragon in the river, the Mâchecroute, and an Island with legends about the SangGraal & lavandières de la nuit, female ghosts washing the clothes of the dead in the river.
We have a White Lady, la Dame Blanche de la Croix Rousse. Lyon is also the city of Spiritisme and a true base of Freemasonry since the XVIIth.
We also have the famous Johan of Arc room for mediumship, and i can't continue it would be too long. (Nostradamus, devil worship, werewolves, heretical sects, cérémonial Magic, tempestari, catacombs and incredible tunnels, chapel of Saint-Expedite...)
Cool, isnt it?
( OH FUCK WAIT I DIDNT REALIZED...Loa Ghede Spider behind, must be pretty happy, Hello you! 😯 🕸️🕷️)

Apollo: If I fall…
Surya: I’ll be there to catch you.
Lugh: *looks at Sol* What if I fall?
Sol: Then I’ll fall with you, never leaving your side.
Huitzilopochtli: *watches these two interactions*
Huitzilopochtli, to Ra: And if I fall?
Ra: I’ll be the one who pushed you.

is it so hard to believe that Julius Caesar was wrong?

I would just like to bring up again that the Irish god Lugh is not strictly or specifically a sun god and that throughout Irish history and Irish cultural sources it was never stated that he was a sun god.
In tales when Lugh's radiance is brought up, the usage of the word radiance was towards his appearance/looks/his talents because he was in a sense a jack of all trades in some his tales. The word radiance was also used when explaining other Tuatha De Danann.
The biggest misunderstanding of this stems from Julius Caesar who compared Lúgh‘s Gaulish counterpart Lúgús to the Greco-Roman sun-god Apollo in his writings.
Lugh and Lúgús are not just Irish/Gaulish versions of Apollo, and their stories are not similar to Apollo. If your someone who is truly interested in learning about Lugh please look up Irish sources.

Touch Starved Lugh
Tumblr media
He throws his spear at your feet. Except it is not his. It is Gungnir. It is the spear that has now chosen him, after having abandoned Grimnir.
"My love." He rasps. You nod, but keep your tongue. "Yes, Lamphada." You whisper after a silence. "No, my true name. I have not heard it in so long." He says.
"Lugh." You breathe.
He grabs you by the hip and draws your body against his own. You can't help a little gasp. Lugh peers down on you, all his muscles tense and taut as bowstrings. You reach up to cup his cheek. "My love." You whisper. He nods slowly. "I have missed you." You draw him closer.
The kiss you share is bruising and almost painful with how needy Lugh is. He crushes your body against his own and your feet come free from the damp forest floor. You curl your fingers into his ginger hair. He groans against your lips and grasps your ass and hips as though you might otherwise lee from him.
Only once your lungs burn, he slowly lets you back down.
"I have missed you, too." He rumbles. He leans his forehead against yours. He is not letting you go. He keeps his hands on your hips and your body flush against his own. He closes his eyes and just breathes you in. Silent minutes pass you by. Lugh's breathing becomes silent sobs. He is slowly falling apart. And there is nothing you can do for him. You can only hold him, make soothing sounds and stroke whatever part of him you can reach.
"Hush, you are here now, with me, that is all that matters." You murmur. "With you." Lugh agrees.

Bres: When I first met you, I did not like you.  Lugh: I'm aware of that.  Bres: But then you and I had some time together.  Lugh: Uh-huh?  Bres: It did not get better.

Summary:
Sent into the maze as an unwilling sacrifice, Laura finds something much different than the Minotaur she expected at the center.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Despite the fact that she doubles back over her last few turns, something new appears around the corner, a space she remembers being a wall is now a clearing with a single occupant.
He's large, there's no missing that, and based on the blue flames curling around him like smoke he's got some of that god mojo flowing through him but looks more or less human.
"Uh hi, do you work here?" He looks up slowly from where he's sharpening a spear, the blank whiteness of his eyes focusing on her. It's unsettling, but she swallows down the nerves trying to clamp down on her throat and continues.
"I hope so because I think I was supposed to exit through the gift shop and took a wrong turn, care to show a girl out?" She lets just a touch of flirtation slip through her voice, testing the waters but prepared to pull back. If she’s learned nothing about gods, it's that they are painfully susceptible to tricks as old as they are.
Despite the fact that there are no other stimuli apart from herself and the spear he's sharpening with a rock, he seems wholly disinterested in her, averting his gaze back to his task, "Odin sent one so small to best me." He sounds incredulous, unimpressed, but most surprisingly, Irish.
