I need to have a little vent for a moment. This is going to talk about adult books so if you’re a kid or aren’t in to that don’t keep going. Also I’m relatively new to using tumblr and I think I have all of one follower (shoutout to you!) so I’m not really sure who will see this (because I admittedly don’t know how this works yet). I just need to put this out in the universe somewhere. I saw something earlier talking about how smutty books are becoming more mainstream and that bothered this person because people should be reading more than just “spicy” books. Which to me is a terrible take but okay. The part that really got my goat though was how they made the observation that this has led to more smut books coming out and some of them aren’t written any better than fanfic. If someone doesn’t like smut or want to read fanfic fine. But to imply that a book is somehow supposed to be superior to fanfic because the author had the idea and follow through to have it published? Absolutely not. I have been reading romance novels since 2010 and I have been reading exclusively m/m romance since 2013/2014. In those 13 years I have come across some really terrible published books. Also some of the best most beautiful things I have read were written by fanfic authors about Harringrove, Harringroveson, or Victuuri. I would even argue that to write fan fiction in some ways can be more difficult. To write a story of your own creation while keeping to the minutiae of a character that you didn’t create and everyone knows is absolutely mind boggling. So shout out to all you fanfic writers who I love. I see you and I love you!

Fic rec time! Ok, for starters don’t let the title or premise throw you off. Give it till the end of the first chapter, middle of the second. You’ll be screaming “WHAAATTTT!?!?!?” While it’s missing the sort of spot-on characterization that I typically prefer in GO fan fic, the core attributes of the characters are still very much present. The pace is breakneck from out of the gate and doesn’t let up much. It is alternately heartbreaking, fury inducing, will choke you with fear and tension and leave you breathless with laughter and love. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ out of five for spice level. This one functions perfectly well as a standalone work of fiction, but having familiar faces makes it even more enjoyable.

Since yall wanna be on that high school drama bs n call us supporters of rape and incest lets get some things straight:

All of you are taking Max’s post out of context. Instead of commenting on shit blindly, please know your facts beforehand. This user named miumiya (her account is now taken down RIGHTFULLY SO) was coming for our friend irrationally because of the dark content contained in her fics. It was dumb and petty unnecessary drama, and everyone was basically responding with the same thing, which was: If it bothers you so much, block and move on. Separate fiction from reality, and so forth.

Anyways, unfortunately things did not die down, and Miu only escalated the situation childishly. She girl called our friend a rapist, a pedo, sent her death threats and told us to unalive ourselves (which we didn’t take seriously, because if you’re that mad it’s just embarrassing like lmao be for real). Not to mention, others sent our friend death threats and RACIAL SLURS. Our friend is a literal victim and is being told all this ON TOP OF being told she’s lying about being a victim. Like, do you know how awful that is? If you have to go so far as to pull made-up shit out of your ass to make a point, it’s ridiculous.

Our friend makes various fics with dark themes. The issues, according to Miu and others, lies mostly within the rape and incest part. Now, let me say this loud for those in the back, WE DO NOT CONDONE IRL RAPE AND INCEST, since you are all so convinced that we do. Our point is that people are allowed to write about whatever the fuck they want as long as it doesn’t hurt them or others. And before anyone starts on that ‘you’re sexualizing/fetishizing’ it shit, no we are not, and those claims alone lead me to believe that you all just saw the words ‘rape’ and ‘incest’ in Max’s post and ran with it. We’re not going to argue any further, because all of this happened days ago, and it was regarding the resident evil fandom, so I don’t know how other people even found it. LMAO Max’s post was not for you.

Also, regarding the replies on Max’s post, everything can be taken out of context because Miu got her blog taken down. Trust, she was saying considerably more awful things than us. We can reclaim literally everything we said, and if it bothers you, block because we’re not gonna change the way we speak just because some strangers on the internet got triggered by it. Miu was sending death threats, was being borderline racist, and invalidating victims. I don’t know about you, but at that point we were not gonna take any of her shit seriously, hence our replies. Because if you’re going to be childish talking about a serious topic, so are we.

In conclusion? It’s not that serious, we don’t care. Stop lying and assuming the stupidest shit. It’s like y'all say some bs and run with it without thinking. ALSO, Max isn’t trans, so being transphobic towards him in his replies is BAFFLING and gross. Like atp, you’re a weirdo. You don’t have a free pass to be a freak because you think you’re in the right. We’re going to keep posting, regardless of whatever accusations are out there. But if you all want to keep yapping about it, go ahead babes. <3

Idea: A Brand New Ending (Kin)

This is my rough notes for this fic. Subject to change. Any suggestions or input you would like to contribute are welcome.

Probably spoilers for Kin

(tagging @bellaxgiornata and any other Kin fic writers out there)

Pairing: Michael Kinsella x Reader

Title comes a quote of uncertain origin: No one can go back and make a brand new start, but anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

You are half-Irish on your mother’s side.

When you were young, your parents died suddenly. You were taken in by your aunt and uncle who lived in Dublin, a couple houses down from Michael and his family.

AUNT and UNCLE can’t have kids and treat you like their own daughter.

Uncertain if your aunt and uncle are involved in the Kinsella criminal organization or not.

You are at least one year below Michael in school and develop a crush on the older boy. These feelings are returned and eventually you start dating. At some point, you give your virginity to Michael.

Something breaks you apart –

(1) AUNT and UNCLE either don’t approve of your relationship with Michael and/or having sex outside of marriage, and decided to move away to keep you away from this boy and his bad influence – maybe there was a pregnancy scare or an actual pregnancy but you ended up miscarrying.

(2) They find out about Bren’s disgusting habits toward young girls – maybe he molests you – and UNCLE and AUNT move away from Dublin to protect you from Bren (doesn’t trust the police in this matter for whatever reason – either they are criminals too or just thinks Bren has connections that would get him off).

Has sporadic contact with Michael afterward but the timing never seems right.

He is either having an affair with his brother’s wife or has gotten married to WIFE and has a little girl or is in prison for accidentally killing his wife.

You try to move on but your romantic relationships are all disasters in some way. Some better (perfectly nice guy but you are hilariously incompatible) than others (at least one was abusive)

Sometime during Season 1, you run into Michael again. One thing leads to another. In the morning, you are naked in his bed. Part of you wants to stay but something important comes up and you must dash off

Maybe AUNT or UNCLE has an emergency – become very ill or fell and broke their hip or had a stroke or a heart attack. Something very serious that eats up your attention for a while.

When you start getting sick, you think its stress. It’s not. Either by condom failure or birth control failure, you find yourself pregnant (again?). You know Michael is the father – you haven’t had sex with anyone else in over a year.

You try to tell Michael but ended up intercepted by Amanda. Who acts like herself and convinces you don’t really mean anything to Michael (“He just got out of prison. He’d fuck anyone.”) and certainly doesn’t want anything to do with child you are carrying.

Maybe its stress or hormone or anxiety or your self-esteem being in the toilet but you believe her lies and return home in tears.

You refuse to tell AUNT or UNCLE who the father is but all or most of the pregnancy but they eventually learn it.

Michael finds out when

(1) AUNT or UNCLE goes down to Dublin themselves to tell Michael off for his treatment of their niece. Michael is understandably confused, then gobsmacked.

(2) AUNT or UNCLE has some kind of relationship with Birdie and complains to her.

Maybe Birdie saw your conversation with Amanda – close enough to know she said something that had you running away in tears but not close enough to hear what was said. Maybe tried asking Amanda about it but obviously not cooperative, might be self-righteous about running off the interloper (you).

Not sure if he finds when you are still pregnant or shortly after giving birth to the twins. Yes, twins – a boy and a girl.

Shower thought: What if I started a series called “Pass the Pen”? Where an anon would send in an ask with a writing topic (ex: Jack helping the reader while she’s on her period) and I would start the story, tag someone, and pass it on to them to finish.

So like, sticking with the period example, in my brief portion, I would talk about how the reader has bad cramps and she hates her period, yada yada ya. And then end it with Jack bringing her some chocolates. Then another author, for example @heavyhitterheaux , would pick up where I left off and continue the story.

The person who finishes it last can tag anyone they want. So after @heavyhitterheaux finished, she could pass it on to anyone she wants.

Would y’all like to see that? Is that even a good idea?
