The Quest for Augoeides
The evening sky, alive w/ stars, Beheld w/ eyes confined behind bars, Imparted a pale, tragic glow On the desperate souls entrapped below;
Within the putrid dungeon sighed A saintly patron, undisguised, Though tarnished by his simple days Of youth misspent in sinful ways.
He longed to spread his wings in flight, & part from his unthinkable plight, But, in his past, they atrophied From underuse & shallow pride.
Yet deep within this sinner's breast, There beat a heart in rhythm blessed, Attuned to his immortal soul, & immune to his purported role.
As decades slipped like grains of sand Thru hourglasses, pain began To overtake his withered frame, But voices deep within him came
To sing him sweet reminders of A light within the skies above That he had long since disavowed — "It rests concealed amidst the clouds."
Enraptured by celestial hymns, He followed their suggestive whims, Recalling the internal light He'd lost in his eternal night,
& in this contemplative state, His erstwhile long-awaited fate Of death within the dungeon ceased, & he found hope & love increased.
He viewed his outward circumstance As though it was the perfect chance, & learned within his prison cell To use his inner vision well.
As he took flight through the idle skies, He saw himself revitalized — The wings once clipped to bar his flight Grew strong within the starry night,
So he pressed onward thru the dark, & followed his illumined spark Towards the promised solar rays, Wherefrom he long ago once strayed.
Though demons sought to drag him down, He lusted not for Satan's crown, & so their jeers were heeded not, For he'd transcended feeble thought.
Their silhouettes fell far behind, Hapless against his conquered mind; Though it remained profoundly still, His voice within grew loud & shrill.
As it announced to his delight, "Shadows cannot be without light," He gazed ahead in ecstasy At the golden rays of destiny.
Now pressing on with newfound zest At having passed his school ground test, Our saint approached the shining sun To atone for his misguided fun,
& in response, it simply beamed, For he'd misunderstood, it seemed, & never stopped to think, perchance, His only sin was ignorance.
Pure truth this revelation spelled; w/ heightened sense, our saint beheld His own reflection gazing back, Until his vision glazed & cracked,
& he regained his consciousness, Recalling his accomplishments, For now his prison ceased to be — He found himself released & free.

🌑🌑🌑🌑🌑🌑🌑🌑🌑🌑🌑🌑🌑🌑🌑🌑
After dark…
When the mutt’s bark
Finally fell silent.
I had been leaving forgotten island
Which had the dirty mark
In my misty mind.
It was behind…
The tortured part,
Of my broken heart…
I came to my acausual devine,
And asked for some flask of “wine”.
Unholy Spirit gave its bloody part,
And familiarized me with a comrade…
Overnight!
The secret scarlet curtain —
Became tore apart…
Ego faced up with brand new dyad!
It was her, my newfound bargain,
Which felt from the mysterious air…
When I reached her hideous heart:
I got, she’s my personal “Noah ark”

Oertle
The chonky tortles chortle as they see the immortals trip through the portal.
It felt quite abnormal, since paranormals were never normal.
One of their attire is formal, the other is quite informal, their eccentric clothes are filled with a pattern of florals.
" Oh look at that dear" other said, "those mortals looked like they could make such good pets"
"Ah of course honey, what shall we name them?" One replied.
"Hmm... let's name this little one Squirtle and this precious one Wartortle" other gleamed.
Instead of throwing Pokè Balls at them, the immortals carries them with fancy.
"Why hi there chonky ones, we're Mr and Mx Oertle, I hope you'll have a great time under our care" the two said as they give the two a gentle fondle
The chonky tortles look at each other and nod, "Squirtle, Squirtle, Squirtle!" One exclaimed "Wartortle!" The other replied.
The immortals look at them in awe, they hope that they can care for them for the rest of their lives.

My mind cuts on, not off
I speak
I write I think I say
These words are letters on the page
The texts from a keyboard in outer space
The pink, curved organ is replaced
Brain is not the word today
Curves they move
in a race
the pattern surrounds
around I’ve found
the loops and hoops
they are unbound
sometimes I feel it all around
my thoughts synapse
it suffocates
how to stop it all
I think
There’s not a pill that I can take
To feel so normal
the buzzing would be left adjace
Can you seek or see
All of me on my face
Alive am I
Are you my dear
The thoughts,
the writing so unclear
I move and breathe
is that all it takes

I love it when people argue about which words rhyme with which other words, because I work with a guy – and I'm reasonably sure he's a native English speaker, though I have no idea where he's from – who speaks a dialect of English that apparently only has two vowels. Like, "pan", "pen", "pin" and "pun" are homophones for this dude. His answer to which words rhyme with which other words is "yes".

Clutch
I would ask how fair is life, But I have no time for this. I won’t miss the stripe, And fall on the abyss. I have spent too much, And now only left me tears. It was indeed a clutch, So I could face my fears. There is honor on a battle, But none when you face yourself. Don’t waste energy on a prattle. Even if it is hard to do, Remember what you left on your shelf, A book where you can see through.

Yesterday, I fell asleep.
And like a wandering off sheep,
You came to me and made a nip.
And I felt it like a hit,
And then…
I really did understand.
That I’m not a freak,
And I didn’t meet
my life time end…
‘Cause I waited you almost weak,
And finally in that period peak.
You kissed my pale cheek,
Because you knew I’m week…
And then…
You take me by your hand.
I was, before of you, truly meek,
So you started to speak:
“I won’t let you meet your end,
So together we will find our land.”

I don't think the SoC characters should have British accents at all tbh, but even if they did, shouldn't they sound more working class??? Y'know, considering fucking literally everything about them
