IMAGINE TOMMY BEING PROTECTIVE OF (AND SAVING) YOU WHEN THE EGGPIRE CAPTURES YOU

contains: gender-neutral!reader, platonic pairing, brief mentions of kidnapping, in game AU. (330 words)

authors note: found this draft in my google drive and decided to edit it and turn it into a short imagine. this was written back when the egg was speaking to people (before the red banquet and before tommy died).

You barely had enough time to register what was happening when both Badboyhalo and Antfrost appeared outside the construction site of Tommy’s hotel and started dragging the two of you towards the egg. Now the egg seemed to be speaking to you specifically but before you could even process what it was saying, Tommy had broken free of the obsidian prison they made in an attempt to contain him.

Tommy now stood with an arm outstretched protectively in-front of you as he glared at Bad. He had a smile on his face and motioned for Ant to lower his weapon before stepping closer to the pair of you. His expression dropped however when Tommy pushed you behind him.

“Tommy I understand why you’d be hesitant, but (Y/N) is their own person, they can make their own decisions.” Bad said, still trying to be closer to the two of you.

“Doesn’t stop me from making sure that egg never touches them- (Y/N) keep your suit on.” Tommy responded as he stepped back, careful as to not accidentally step on you or push you into the lava surrounding you two.

“I can assure you both that the egg will not harm anyone. You can trust us, trust the egg.” Bad spoke calmly.

“Yeah as if I’d believe that,” Tommy scoffed. “If the egg wants (Y/N) then it better go through me first.”

“Tommy no-”

“(Y/N), run.” He cut you off, shoving an ender pearl into your hand before throwing a potion down at Bad and Ants’ feet. “GO!” He shouted as he grabbed your hand and started running. You hoped that the potion would be effective enough so that you could both at least escape.

After reaching the surface again, you tightened your grip on his hand before throwing the pearl into the distance. By the time Bad and Ant had resurfaced, the two of you were already running back to the safety of Sam Nook’s construction site.

I know I already reblogged a post about this but the thought of Wilbur going back to writing on the dream smp is stressing me out. I need to stop being protective of Technoblade's plotline and the dsmp plot in general but it's kinda hard. They're a huge part of my life (second to sleep and college) and seeing something I care about be "messed up" would really bother me.

In the interest of organization here's a list of poorly sourced paraphrased things that concern me in regards to Wilbur returning to writing. (In no particular order)

1) Technoblade's excitement about writing

In "a new home" Techno was so genuinely excited about writing. I just want him to be happy honestly

2) The revisions Techno made to Nov 16th

I'm sure everyone remembers how anticlimactic Nov 16th felt after Tubbo was declared president. It was way too easy since everyone defected from Schlatt. The Great President Handoff (tm) started to feel really lame after the dust had settled. All that work for nothing. But then c!Technoblade starts freaking out and goes rogue to fight the new dictatorship. And it was such a climatic ending

But if you remember, Techno said that Wilbur was gonna just have him as another fighter with no significant contributions. No vault, no withers, no Theseus. Maybe he would have managed to make the post president assignment less awkward and anticlimactic but I kinda doubt it. There wasn't much that could be done with it imo.

My point is collaborative story telling gave us Nov 16th not head writer Wilbur

3) Wilbur's cursed canon

The thing Wilbur said about being twins with Techno was never about the dsmp and rather the general family dynamic au that already existed (we know this because Wilbur said that in response to discourse about the au not canon). However the rest of Wilbur's cursed canon is still yikes. Having sex with a salmon, dating a sheep, the refrigerator mother, his references to the family dynamic on the server, etc. When Technoblade says "canon" for the 50th time when Tubbo dies no one takes it seriously. When Wilbur shitposts people update the wiki

4) Techno's commitment to clearing up false info

On a related note Techno's commitment to his characterisation keeps me going. He corrected the family dynamic and comes up with arguments against all the bad takes about his character. He makes fun of Tommy's blame game logic, fights bad character takes by other cc's and pushed for Nov 16th. I trust him to have our back on character and plot nonsense and Wilbur's sometimes opposite demeanor concerns me

5) Wilbur saying he would only come back to be head writer

Wilbur said (before the recent confirmation of him as a writer) that he would only come back if he was the head writer who got the final say. That obviously concerns me because he's coming back now, but the general attitude also feels bad. It insinuates that having his way in the writing is really important to him which doesn't bode well for other writers

6) Wilbur appreciating Tommy not wanting to control his character

Wilbur says (maybe in that same stream idk) that Tommy was super flexible with how Wilbur characterised him while Technoblade wasn't. I can't remember the wording but he sounding noticeably appreciative of Tommy's aquiesence to any sort of writing. Another attitude about writing that I worry won't mesh well

7) Wilbur saying he wanted more geopolitical plot

We have a lot of non geopolitical plot and I'm concerned for how he'd treat them

8) But like seriously Nov 16th??

9) How Philza got into the plot

Not a criticism but Phil got added to the plot and to the smp early because Wilbur wrote him in. What does that say for people Wilbur doesn't know who are running their own story lines. People got really mad over Niki not being involved in the plot like she wanted to and there was no head writer at the time. If you wanted your arc to be important you had to push for it. Now imagine Wilbur not letting someone into the central plot cause he's got his casting already prepared.

10) The exile arc would never have happened

Character driven story telling? Wilbur would never

11) The eggpire would definitely have not happened

Secondary plots that are supernatural and don't involve countries or politics?? No.

12) Techno's retirement arc would be unlikely

Certainly not with the level of development it got

13) -1000% chance of Doomsday happening

Large scale battle to settle conflict?? Not a chance

14) Tommy's hotel bit is cool after all the action

I feel like Tommy in the spotlight just gets repetitive. It's like a tv show desperately trying to make another season. I'm really glad Tommy stepping back from the eggpire arc and giving his character some room to breathe

15) Tommy's non dsmp videos are really good

Another point in the less main character Tommy please column. I personally find the mod videos so much more entertaining than his dsmp stuff. I feel like spending all your time on a server either walk around aimlessly or roleplaying a character someone else made just isn't peak content. Tommy vibing in non plot streams was where his better dsmp content came from. And now he's vibing in videos not even in the server

16) Wilbur plot holes

Despite being a writer before want collaborative story telling, Wilbur's writing has a lot of lore breaking plot holes. The family dynamic obviously, but also the age and death stuff. Fundy's age is a mess and Wilbur writing Phil in as his dad made it so much worse. Is Phil supposed to be 50? How old is Fundy actually? The inconsistency between which lives mattered and which didn't also came about while Wilbur was writing. A fan theory came in clutch but it was very frustrating before that point

17) Wilbur's joke about writing Ranboo out of the story

Obviously a joke but I dislike the implications that he would have that much power over other people's characters

In summary no hate to Wilbur he's a super cool guy. Not all of this is his fault; I'm just concerned and wanted to vent. I trust Technoblade to put his foot down about writing but also I fear

We’re really getting into our hotel here, aren’t we? And the interesting kind too!

Anyways, I don’t suppose you have any Devil’s Deal headcanons? That au is just wonderfully dark and I love it.

Here we go again.

-Dream does not know anything about Jack's death and his way out of hell. The only way he found out was from Tubbo after asking (a bit sarcastically) if there’s anyone else who managed to live again after dying. Tubbo answered Jack and that immediately made Dream more interested in Jack then he initially was

-Tommy and Jack run cold and now the BigInnit hotel just has a huge blanket fort in the employee room.

-Soon, Tubbo uses it when they figure out everything

-Blanket Fort soon just is used by everybody in the aftermath of the mind control thing and everyone just has one huge cuddle pile in there and comforts each other

-First time Tubbo visited the prison in command walk, he freaked out and had to take a minute to calm down before realizing that Dream is in the cell too

-The Green Teletubbie was absolutely thrilled to find out that it worked. That both the resurrection and the amulet worked. Was practically bouncing off the walls. Creeped Tubbo out a lot

-Dream manipulates Tubbo but like in a way where he goes and tells him that it’s his fault for the things Dream told him to do. He could have went and fought back at the control but he didn’t. Great. Now Tubbo is blaming himself for things he was told to do

-The “servant” clothing thing was something Dream came up with on the fly. Tubbo already acts the part, might as well make him look it as well

-Jack was the one who goes with Tubbo in the cell during the forced prison visit. Mainly because Sam needs to be on the other side to extract them out and everyone refuses to have Tommy and Ranboo go even an inch near Dream

-Forced prison visit was f u n. Everyone was just on edge and Tubbo was just in command walk again. Was basically going to the cell in all green and stuff like before and they really can’t do anything about it. Everyone was just not having a good time

-First thing Jack did was punch Dream when he arrived at the cell with Tubbo

-Dream decides to be sadistic and just shows Jack the extent of how much control he has over Tubbo. Freaked Jack out several times and made him sick

-There was also some prying questions on how Jack manage to get out of hell without any help and it is creepy with the whole atmosphere of everything

-Ten minute visit and Tubbo comes out dazed and was out of it for an hour. Jack came out absolutely shaken

-Ranboo is internally screaming whenever the Antarctic Syndicate starts talking about Snowchester because they already have Tubbo apparently selling his free will away. They do not need another explosion on another town on top of that

-Eret and Foolish are now also researching on how to have the deal broken without reckless endangerment of anybody. They know about magic and they can figure something out

-Tommy does not like talking about his death. He does not like talking about it. He hates it more than anything and closes up instantly when it happens. He does talk about it a little though once some time passes but it’s not a good conversation topic

-Sam angst dropped, now he’s blaming himself for not seeing this as well. He’s blaming himself so much for not stopping Tubbo from making that deal. Sure Tommy’s alive but god, at what cost? And now he’s also blaming himself for not stopping Dream in the first place! Fuck!

-Jack Manifold character development has also dropped, he’s very conflicted about Tommy being alive and is low-key considering on killing him again but at the same time he just saw Tubbo looking so distressed in that whole month Tommy was gone. So he goes and puts it in the maybe pile and does it so that he doesn’t actively try to kill Tommy but he won’t actively try and save him if his life was in danger

-At some point Jack and Tommy are just going to have one massive argument about Tommy’s death and they both have trauma and man

-Ranboo angst has dropped but this time it’s him having a crisis of whether he may or may not have helped in Tommy’s murder indirectly and how after they found out about Tubbo’s deal he may have also helped in that as well

-Captain Puffy is now just stressed out because these kids are traumatized and she couldn’t protect them and man. She has the Eggpire to deal with, three traumatized kids that definitely need therapy, and the suspecting feeling that Jack might still try to kill Tommy. She is not having fun

-No one is having a good time in this au honestly. Like yeah they weren’t already when we made this au but now that I’m posting this after Tommy got out of prison, everyone is really not having a good time

Dream SMP Recap (January 26/2021) - Kids With Nukes and Talking Eggs

The Crimson’s influence continues to spread and corrupt the SMP, with the seeds planted earlier sprouting into new tendrils.

In fact, the Crimson has spread so far that now chat can finally hear the Egg’s whispers for themselves, as Badboyhalo and Quackity have an important discussion, and Karl attempts to prevent the worst...

Also, Snowchester’s nuclear weapons test was a success! Everything went exactly according to plan and definitely nothing else. Yep.

---

- Ponk starts sneaking out of the Egg Room, but Bad comes on and he runs back to avoid suspicion.

- Bad calls him and asks how he’s doing. Ponk says he’s doing fine. Bad asks if he can get Ponk anything. He says Ponk will stay down there until he learns to love the Egg.

Ponk: “I’m a bad bitch, you can’t kill me.”

- Bad says he’ll stay down for an extra day because of that.

- Ponk asks Bad for an iced mocha with cream and a pain au chocolat. Bad refuses at first, but after Ponk threatens to pee all over the Egg, Bad rushes off to get Ponk his iced mocha with cream and pain au chocolat. Ponk asks if it’s vegan.

- Bad drops Ponk his iced mocha with cream and pain au chocolat.

- Bad locks Ponk back up and says he’ll be staying down there for a day now. Ponk says he’ll continue to vibe.

- Ponk sneaks out once Bad is gone. He meets up with Awesam on the surface. Sam is still talking like he’s exhausted and drained, and says he wants to head home.

- Sam goes to be with Fran again, holding his rose with a wall blocking them off.

- Ponk shows Sam that he’s got Dream’s shield. Sam says that he probably shouldn’t carry it around, as people might get the wrong idea...Ponk says it’s cool because it makes his “head fuzzy.”

- Ponk says goodbye and leaves Sam.

- Both keycards for the nukes have gotten lost. There is no way this can end badly. Jack comes online and they begin to prepare. The plan is to launch one and decommission the others.

- Jack wonders how to get Tommy to the test site. Perhaps if some of the materials for the hotel can be obtained easiest near the site? He speaks with Awesam about adding spruce wood to the materials list. Awesam says he’ll let Sam Nook know.

- Tommy comes online and speaks with Sam Nook, who tells him to get some spruce wood. Niki comes over to fetch him. Niki leads Tommy closer to the test site.

- Jack desperately attempts to stall the launch.

- The nuke is launched! Jack and Tubbo rush over.

- Tommy manages to delay walking over to the test site purely by talking nonstop, and the nuke misses him. He instead goes to examine the crater with the others. Tubbo is concerned about Tommy’s lack of hazmat suit.

- Jack and Niki are furious that it didn’t work.

- They go back to Snowchester to celebrate. Tommy coughs up a bit of blood. Foolish comes over to deal some stress relievers.

- Sam Nook then tells Tommy to gather red dye.

- Tommy and Jack start fighting and Sam Nook comes to kill him.

- Ranboo speaks with Tubbo. Apparently the Crimson showed Tubbo images of dead families that made him cry. They wonder if they should do something about the Blood Vines.

- Ranboo writes in his book. His pickaxes have been mysteriously losing durability.

- Ranboo later speaks with Niki. He asks why she burned down L’mantree. Niki explains that she’d lost hope in L’manburg and didn’t believe it should exist anymore.

- Tommy mugs Foolish. Foolish says he’ll remember this.

- Tommy still doesn’t have enough red dye. Sam Nook is worried that Awesam won’t be pleased with him leaving the build site today. If Awesam found out, that wouldn’t be good...

- Foolish visits Ponk, who is still trapped in the obsidian Egg cage.

- Antfrost logs on and Foolish starts running up the stairs. He sneaks behind a corner and Antfrost walks by. He doesn’t seem to see Foolish.

- The Blood Vines have made their way to Foolish’s desert...

- Bad comes online with plans to introduce Callahan to the Egg. He meets up with Quackity and asks him if he’s noticed the Vines growing everywhere.

- Bad checks the Crater. Quackity sees the Crater Vines for the first time and is horrified.

- Bad asks Quackity -- he’s a chaotic individual -- what if he could join something greater than himself? Callahan as well? He asks if Quackity would either wish to be brainwashed, or voluntarily join the Eggpire. Quackity could be in charge of everything.

- Quackity says to keep talking...Bad says he would make a great leader. The Egg could be the means to the end of becoming the leader over everything.

- Ever since the whole L’manburg, fight with Dream happened, Quackity’s been wandering, taking some time off. Thinking about things. But he doesn’t like the idea of the Vines covering the entire SMP.

- Bad explains that once the Vines have covered everything, Quackity can come in as the ultimate hero, conquering the Egg and becoming the ruler of the entire Dream SMP.

Quackity asks...what’s the catch? Why wouldn’t Bad do this himself?

Bad says all he wants is to see Quackity succeed.

Bad: “You...could become the ruler of all of this.”

Quackity asks for Bad to show him a little more.

Bad: “The Egg can grant you your heart’s desires.”

Quackity: “So why do you still not have Skeppy?”

- Bad shows him around. Quackity wants to see exactly what Bad has up his sleeve, what’s really going on here. Karl follows them around in hiding.

- Bad, Quackity and Callahan jump down into the spider spawner to head to the Egg Room without Prime Suits on.

- Callahan dies on the Egg’s magma and disappears in the presence of the Egg.

- Quackity stands on the Egg and says it’s...wonderful. He feels great. A strange sensation.

The Crimson speaks.

- Karl types in chat, trying to get Quackity to leave the Egg.

- Quackity freaks out and says he needs to get out. He starts running, shouting in fear. He faces Bad in the hallway, telling him to stay back.

Bad: “Power! Power. Power...you want power, Quackity.”

...

Quackity: “Badboyhalo, there is something so very wrong with you...”

- Karl jumps into the hallway and hits Bad away.

- Quackity tells Bad to never do this to him again. Bad says everyone has to make a choice. He tried the easy way already, but Quackity’s chosen the difficult path...

- Bad comes to the Egg, frustrated. He’s trying to be nice, trying to give everybody a chance...and they’re not taking it.

The Crimson whispers to him.

- Bad thinks that maybe, letting so many Vines grow has turned people against the Crimson instead of getting them to love it.

- Bad lets Ponk out. He’s vibing. Bad gives him a pain au chocolat.

- Bad asks the Egg. What are they to do?

The Crimson whispers.

Bad says he had hoped it wouldn’t come to that.

Nothing matters but the Egg...and Skeppy.

- Bad leaves the Egg. They have to check the status of Sam, deal with Tommy, and see if they can still get Quackity on their side. He can come around to them! Antfrost and Bad need to meet with Technoblade as well.

- Quackity whispers to Bad that he would like to talk. As he comes up, he spots Ranboo wandering around.

The Crimson whispers, but Bad says he “can’t deal with this one at the moment.”

Bad picks up the grass block that Ranboo left and places it in his Ender Chest...

- Bad addresses chat: have they spent enough time with the Egg that they can hear the Egg too?

- Bad meets with Quackity at Eret’s castle. As Quackity jumps a fence, he places down some purple concrete. Bad picks it up and places it in his Ender Chest as well.

- They make it into the wilderness and Quackity tries to snap Bad out of it.

Quackity: “You’re one of the only people on the server who I have a little bit of hope in! ...What the hell is going on?”

“That’s not you! That’s not you, Bad!”

Bad: “The Egg offered me exactly what I wanted!”

Quackity: “What’d the Egg give you?”

Bad: “The Egg gave it to me -- or told me that it could get it for me.”

Bad says that Skeppy got infected by the Egg, and he realized that there was no way that he could get him back to normal, so he knew he had one job: if he got infected by the Egg too, then everything would be fine.

What else could Bad have done except done what the Egg told him? All of Bad’s attempted cures just ended up messing Skeppy up more and more. He couldn’t get Skeppy back to normal on his own. The Egg said if Skeppy was red, everything would be okay.

Bad: “Everybody has something that they want. Something -- when you lose something that you’re really close to, and you’re worried that you’ve lost it for good, sometimes you’re willing to make the tough sacrifices in order to get that thing back.”

Quackity: “And what are these ‘sacrifices?’ Your other friends?”

Quackity is offended that Bad would think the only thing he wants is power. Is that all Bad sees him as? Power-hungry?

Quackity: “Bad, I wanna help you.”

The Egg has an objective, one objective. It wants something, but can’t get it on its own. It needs people to get it. That’s why the Egg needs people, at least right now.

- Bad and Quackity argue.

- Quackity says Bad is a liability. He shouts at Bad to just listen. Quackity suggests that if they find the source of power for this Egg...maybe they can use this to the ultimate well-being of everyone. Because if the Egg can control others, then...maybe they can control other people for good?

- The only person the Egg can’t control is Tommy, so he has to die.

- It’s not a specific person that the Egg can’t control, but a specific type of person.

- Bad wonders...what if he could control the Egg?

Maybe he could free Skeppy himself.

- But how could they control the Egg? Quackity says he’s thought of a different type of control. Their conversation has given him some thoughts. He says Bad can deal with his Egg stuff alone, but he’s too far gone.

- Quackity says it’s not just about gathering people. There’s power in other measures too.

Quackity: “Do you remember that room Dream had where he had everyone’s personal belongings and he essentially had full control of just about everyone, because he had control of their personal belongings?”

- Bad says Quackity’s getting in the way of what he’s trying to accomplish. Quackity says they may be trying to accomplish the same things...

Quackity: “We have the same objectives with different measures.”

- It’s time they part ways. Before they split, though, Quackity leads Bad up a hill and has him look out across the wilderness.

Quackity: “Look at all this. Remember this for a long time...all of this empty land, all of these things...that people think don’t matter, Bad? They do matter, they do matter. Picture this in your head...just never forget it, okay?”

- They leave.

Quackity: “Goodbye, Bad...good luck in whatever you’re gonna do...

And I’ll make sure to get in your way.”

- Bad returns to the SMP, thinking to himself. If the Egg can give him his friend back, then that’s good...right?

- Punz’s eyes have turned red. He’s become favorable to the Vines growing on his tower, saying he likes the feeling of chaos it brings to him.

The Crimson spoke with five distinct messages throughout the stream, reversed:

“I will give you your heart’s desire...I will give you what you want.”

“Kill the boy ...Tommy must die.”

“This world is mine...it belongs to me.”

“Feed me...I require nourishment.”

“I know all...I see all...I...AM...ALL...”

eggpire tommy au bc i still think the egg arc is interesting despite unfortunate circumstances: the egg exploits c!tommy's loneliness. it lets him remain neutral,allows him to place it in the hotel,and it grows,very slowly. just tommy's proximity to the area slowly allows the egg to chip through tommy's defenses. when tommy hears it,it just sounds like a voice whispering in the back of his mind,speaking his doubts and anxieties. when he is scared,it sounds like wilbur-

-when tommy is hopeful,it takes the voice of his god,Prime. it is only silent in the walls of the prime church. the egg slowly begins to manipulate tommy-it's a little like that one banger from descendants,evil like me but with less intensity. or the ps5 meme,ig- untill he's got his guard down enough to possess him and gets tommy to plant the eggs vines around the server. the rest of the server is none the wiser. tommy is quiet. tommy is calm. tommy is the poster child from the egg cult.

Mmmmmm I don't think I like it too much. The Egg never kept anyone from being loud and talkative, quite the opposite actually, why should Tommy be the exception to that?

I think we can have an Eggpire!Tommy without having the Egg being just a stand in for c!Dream basically.

OOOH OOH!!!! Ty (gonna go a bit wacky with this cause a thought popped into my brain that i wanna write abt but I promise it still has egginnit)

The warden ran his hands through the seawater, no matter how much he scrubbed he never seemed to be free of that vague red tinge, but that was to be expected. With the help of the monarch and the knight he had spent the past few days slowly but surely moving and disposing of the crimson using all the methods they could think of, and now they were done, the egg was gone, every last bit of it, and they had been very careful to check that nothing was left behind. Those who had been under the influence of the egg had either fled or been killed but they shouldn't pose too much of a problem now. It was over, the warden's shoulders slumped as he finally exhaled a breath he didn't know that he'd been holding, now he could have his friends back, things would go back to normal. He stood up and began his long walk towards the forboding figure of the prison in the distance.

At the exact same moment, elsewhere standing in front of a large hotel, a blonde boy stood, and for some reason he felt compelled to smile the warden thinks it's over, a single sentence, in a quiet rasping voice in the back of his mind, so quiet in fact that he wasn't even sure he had heard anything, but that doesn't matter right now, he told himself as he began to walk towards the entrance desk, I have a hotel to reclaim.

There was something glowing, a dark red glow, there in the shifting confines of an enderchest, stacked beside broken contracts and plenty of items that wars had been fought over, a small chunk of something, it seemed... fleshy, but it was still glowing, a few stray tendrils hang from it, twisting and wrapping as it hangs their suspended in the dark. i'd like to this this au is set in a period after wilbur's resurrection and dream's prison escape where the entire smp is like. well, we're fucked— time to get wasted now!

quackity would originally look down upon eret, puffy, h, and punz because of the entire monarchy fiasco, but after knowing how rich eret was, quackity would let them slide. they don't seem to be a threat of power anyway, so why should he care? i also think eret might've helped supplied las nevadas too, maybe just simple materials here and there thanks to fundy's requests.

fundy has talked to eret multiple times whenever he visits. eret is good at stopping themselves from getting too addicted to alcohol or gambling, so they would be sober or healthy enough for fundy to have conversations with. eret has even probably had sleepovers with fundy because eret is still genuinely concerned about his wellbeing, you know? because to eret, it feels odd that fundy doesn't seem as lively as he used to be, even if he is still quite enthusiastic when he works, it still isn't the same.

eret often asks fundy about family. i think that's the main thing they always talk about— family, and found family. eret has found a family with the knights he's hired and giving shelter to all of the ex-members of the eggpire. eret's main concern is fundy, and if he could ever forgive them for missing the adoption. and fundy doesn't really know actually, because he is still quite hurt about it, but he's definitely moved on. he still values eret as a good friend, and eret reciprocates, and i guess that's what matters to him.

but in terms of family, fundy doesn't really know if he wants to label anything as family due to his trust issues. he often vents to eret about these problems, especially in the earlier stages of las nevadas. he's scared that if he ever labels something as family, they'd just leave him anyway, so he prefers not having a family. but eret still insists its important for fundy to have some type of support system, but this is where fundy tends to change the topic, and eret can't do anything but hopelessly nod along.

but there's a time that definitely changed! there's a time eret did hangout with fundy, do a simple sleepover like old times, and they woke up once to quackity and schlatt entering fundy's room with a tray of food. eret asked them what the food was for, especially since this didn't happen last time eret was here, but quackity replies that he kind of got used to it out of habit, especially since fundy doesn't really notice that he skips meals every now and then.

and eret is kind of surprised they care?? in a good way of course, because they're all. oh, fundy HAS found a better family to care for him. quackity and schlatt bids eret a good day before leaving, and eret approaches the tray of food quietly. there's a note placed atop. on the note, there's a to-do list for fundy with simple things like “remember to eat” or “remember to take breaks” or “lessen your cigarette intake”, and on the back, there seems to be a long note left by quackity. eret didn't want to invade fundy's privacy too much, but they did remember glancing at a small note that said “you are loved. take care of yourself, and never forget that” written somewhere on the paper.

NOW FOR NIKI! niki does visit, she visits a LOT, and she loves the upbeat vibes of las nevadas, anything with popping colors and enthusiastic moods are such a turn on for her, and she just loves to stay there for multiple days on end. the syndicate would be often concerned about her wellbeing, but niki ensures she doesn't really get too drunk or gamble too much.

(the drinking statement is debatable because, surprisingly, niki has a high tolerance for alcohol, so she drinks a LOT. where was this when she was having her villain arc?)

she's honestly just happy to be there, and she just likes to dance and groove! there's a thrill in las nevadas she never really experienced much in her life, and she's happy she can basically vibe here without worrying about betrayal or death every five seconds.

on the dance floor, she has danced with a couple of people. the first one she does dance with accidentally is schlatt, who seems to be Very Awkward when it comes to dancing. he honestly wasn't even supposed to be there— niki thinks he might've lost a bet or something? but niki still tried to make do with what she was given.

the most interesting conversations niki has had in her life has got to be the ones she has on the dance floor. when it came to schlatt, he was mumbling a lot, very awkward and tense knowing the state of their relationship during the manberg era, but niki puts that aside. because there's no point on lingering on the past for too long— she's talked to puffy and the syndicate about this far too many times— so she grabs schlatt and twirls him around like nothing has happened. he never really got to apologize, but he did give niki a fun dance, and you know what? it was fun! so that's all that matters.

quackity was the second one she's danced with, and quackity is the opposite of schlatt. he was charming, enthusiastic, extremely extroverted, and niki definitely enjoyed it! but to niki, she knows quackity isn't always this upbeat, or this loud and obnoxiously in your face, so when a slower song plays, she asks quackity if he can just shuffle alongside her slowly and follow her mellow footsteps. he calms, and she calms, and the conversations had dwindled into something more familiar. after a certain while, quackity admits that he's missed this, he's missed being vulnerable, he's missed being genuine, he's missed being soft and laidback, so niki tells him thst he's allowed to be that way for the rest of the dance.

and last person she's danced with was fundy. and fundy, she's definitely talked with before the dance, but she also calls in eret to join them. they boogie to an upbeat rhythm, dancing as if this feeling of euphoria and happiness was something they've experienced all their lives. niki knows that, often, whenever they meet up, there's always something that reminds them of their past faults, so they never got to be the way they were before the wars. so now, niki tries her best to make it different. that fun they had when they pranked tommy in the past, or find foxes together, or build weird statues— she will try her best reincarnate those feelings of pure happiness through stupid dance moves and stupid jokes because she misses it, and she will try her best to fix the friendship so that it'll be same, perfect thing it once was.

jack is pretty complicated, because i don't know much about jack, but i'd say he is one of quackity's... less responsible business partners. knowing jack, fundy and schlatt try their best to not get quackity to jump on his ass because quackity often gets mad at the ridiculous deals and offers jack gives.

i'd say that jack is just... having a pretty rough time. fundy and schlatt denote that he's kind of lonely, and his demeanor is very similar to quackity's wherein he uses irritation and/charm to mask the hurt they experience. and quackity... does soften up to that. he knows what it's like to feel alone and be left alone by people out of nowhere, so quackity decides to give jack another kind of offer: jack transfers ownership of their hotel back to tommy, and quackity will give jack a job offer to work at las nevadas' hotel. in that way, quackity doesn't need to make multiple exchanges with jack's business; he just needs jack to work for him lmao

so yeah, it's kind of a lax job. the hotel isn't the most booked all the time, but jack does enjoy managing the front desk since quackity actually allows him to get mad at shitty customers lmao. jack doesn't stay there 24/7 of course—if he wants to leave, he can just depend on fundy's redstone to do the work—but he does like working there because nobody looks down upon him. he feels like he has something he can do that he can do well, and nobody is looking at him as if he was inferior. sure, quackity and him are still not on the best terms, but jack doesn't feel like he's being belittled at all.

i'd say jack and sam kind of are friends too? because while schlatt, quackity, and fundy have their own thing, sam and jack manage las nevadas more on the sidelines, but they relate at the fact that they just casually do their own thing in las nevadas. it doesn't feel too awful or violent or belittling— it just feels normal.

sometimes, jack would visit the bar right after it closes to just. drink and talk to sam about... well, anything, really. these talks would typically last through the day, and they're kinda just glad they have found someone to talk to about, well, anything. it's hard to find a feeling of normalcy in the dream smp, let alone a feeling of peace and serenity, so even if they find this chill ambiance in a bar or a casino, they both still revel in the feeling of peace. they're happy with it, so they'll do whatever they can to maintain it.

HEY GUYS WHAT ABOUT A DREAM SMP SPIES ARE FOREVER AU???

(before I even get into it please note we're removing ALL romantic plots – that means Curt and Owen having a relationship, the whole misunderstanding between Tatiana and Curt and the subplot with Barb having a crush on Curt. Everything in this au is PURELY PLATONIC)

first off, the setting;

we're removing the au completely from the cold war setting and instead putting it in an alternate dream smp timeline type of place – with some things changed. (this also means that there's no nazis in this since uh.... it would be strange to take a character and say “you can be the nazi :)” LMAO.all actual countries and their politics are completely removed from here)

l'manberg, the antarctic empire, the greater dream smp and the eggpire/badlands (sort of merging them into one in this au) all exist at the same time, with some changes to who's allied to which faction and how they function.

currently, l'manberg and the antractic empire are in a state somewhat mirroring a cold war – at the verge of firing at each other, but holding back and constantly ready to attack the other. In the center of it all, the greater dream smp has just been settled and is trying to gain power, meanwhile a fallen empire, known as the eggpire, is trying to rebuild after losing power formerly

the eyes of the whole world are on king eret and his son, prince fundy – and every nation is attempting to seize power through both of them. so that's the setting, basically

secondly, the characters:

first the obvious out of the way – curt and owen go to schlatt and wilbur. (AGAIN, REMINDING EVERYONE ALL ROMANTIC PLOTS ARE COMPLETELY REMOVED. THIS IS STRICTLY PLATONIC). They're both spies for l'manberg and during a failed mission, schlatt “died” because of a mistake made by wilbur and he stops spying all together for four years because of it. He comes back four years later and your usual storyline follows.

Tatiana is replaced by techno – formerly an assassin for the antarctic empire who left his family behind to protect them, trained from since he was around four to be the perfect killer. Again, all romantic plots removed and apart from that the usual storyline follows.

The deadliest man alive is “dream” - and the man behind the mask is actually schlatt, same as it was in the canon. He always has his mask completely down, which leaves his identity completely unknown to everyone around him.

Instead of brians usual character *cough cough* we have bad with the eggpire! Theyre side villains and they want to take charge of the greater dream smp through kidnapping fundy same as the original story, and hire dream to help. And, same as canon, they of course fail.

Cynthia is replaced by phil, since, yknow. She literally says curt is like “a son” to her. If that aint phil I dont know who else.

Barb (once more, without any romantic plotlines) is instead niki – who wants to support l'manberg with her tech as best as she can. This is the pre-villain arc sweetheart niki – as superior as villain niki is, this one fits more-

and susan is ranboo. Because. Just imagine ranboo doing the little “you gotta!” back up vocals during “eyes on the prize I”. just,,, enderman boy,,, helping phil,,,

other smaller characters are;

sergio – connor, the scammer pants

manvanger borshtit – quackity, because he'd make a great reporter at the big ball with all the drama

the singer in the opening – minx? Not sure about this one, but she has the girl boss energy for it

mrs mega – unsure, but could be kristen if you wanna go with the sleepy boys lore, or maybe change that section completely and instead of coming home to his mother all wilbur finds is tommy being home alone and chaotic as per usual. Remove the romantic sub plot thing here completely of course and instead tommy starts admiring techno and being all irritating about how he'd wish HIM to be his cool older brother

song/plot changes:

the opening is pretty much the same, just remove any foreshadowing of owen's and curt's relationship and make it purely platonic. The way schlatt died could probably be made a lot more serious somehow, considering the source (im still not over the fucking banana peel, tcb)

four years later wilbur comes back to spying at phil's request, trying to stop a deal between connor and dream, which is promptly interrupted by techno, who he assumes to be a spy from the antarctic empire. Coming back to Phil he gets told off and then told to follow techno to where he is said to be heading, a casino somewhere in l'manberg

now instead of doing that whole seductive female spy thing the original did we could have a far cooler plotline where techno convinces wilbur to come along with him to the trap in the hotel by revealing he knows a lot more about him than he thought (maybe some sleepy boys family type stuff could be slightly referenced here?) and the usual scene follows

the eggpire reveals themselves and their plans, with dream and techno on their side, but following bad turning on techno and threatening his family techno once more switches sides and helps wilbur escape from dream. The two get out of there and start heading to the big party being held by king eret for political reasons and here the prince fundy plot comes in.

the party happens same as canon, with everything that follows. In the end, niki, techno, ranboo and wilbur all team up to take down schlatt once he reveals himself. The plot ends same as canon here – and it's all just as sad :(((

i imagine sam nook is pretty short so punz would make sure no one was watching and kneel down on the ground so they're at the same height

no, while i dont think sam nook finds gender to be very important, he considers himself a man (but he uses he/it pronouns)

i dont think punz spends a lot of time in the higher floors so he likes keeping his whole base area nice so theres a good view from lower windows. when he does go to the top he like how far he can see and how many important landmarks he has a view of

i think he likes clicking buttons a normal amount but his favorite stimmy thing to do is chew on things bc he can do that while his hands are occupied

sometimes? in general punz doesn't really have people over, he doesn't like other people in his space. (except as part of the eggpire when he does host things and invite ppl over)

after ppsat he tries to go to bed right away, he has animals to take care of and has to get up early.

punz usually has some pumpkin pie from sam with him

in the badlands au, bad brings protein bars for punz and sam, fancy cat wetfood for ant (ant throws the can at bad and doesnt eat it), and goldfish for skeppy bc he doesn't actual need to eat normal food but thinks it fun

punz goes all out getting a really nice room and decorating it super romantically but sam nook isnt really optimized for lying down and also doesn't sleep so its a little bit awkward but they figure it out and have good time. sam nook stands in the corner charging ominously when punz sleeps and punz thinks its cute

punz loves dolphins and likes playing with them, but doesn't usually have time.

punz thinks stained glass looks cool but doesnt use when building bc it limits visibility of windows

he trains everyday to stay in shape at his base. when he worked with dream he trained with him sometimes, maybe once a week. in the eggpire, he trains a lot with hannah and ant and he keeps training with hannah after occasionally

he does like archery! he trains with both a longbow and a crossbow pretty regularly and he finds archery to be a lot more satisfying to get right

punz would make a creature with four legs that had an upside down u shaped body and a smiley face. it would be really simple and he would give it a normal guy name like jason or patrick or something

Greetings, it was nice to know that you already being existed on this platform first of all thank you for making the Rewind fanfiction it seriously giving and feeding me the forbidden angst my body and mind slowly craving of and second i found your fanfiction with the help of Dekageya the awesome artist i have known for a while like acquintance or sort of friend and now with the fanart she made it raise my curiousity on the fanfic and i immediately fall for it. I am already subscribed from my Ao3 account say have you seen the other Au's that Dekageya she had made Like Community Garden Au? where after the third and final explosion of L'manberg into pieces the AU Tommy have decided to built a community garden for everyone and it was wholesome and fluff and the second one is De-aged Tommy Au where a spell have being cast on Tommy where he turn into a toddler and Sam is taking care of him until the spell have worn off, Yeah i am a sucker of Parent Sam and Tommy concept which also ruined the SBI i also craved and also some fluff with a hint of angst and finally oh ho ho ho ho i think your gonna loved it EggInnit Au where Tommy have decided to used the egg for his hotel which only backfired and slowly succumbed Tommy into a new member of the Eggpire! Eyyyyy more Egginnit AU cuz I felt angsty :,]

Sry for those who were waiting for more of this AU, I was too caught up in the Community Garden AU and all the recent streams😅...

Anyway, from the last comic, Tommy ran off to Pogtopia with The Egg. After dealing with the others, the rest of The Eggheads found Tommy through The Egg’s whispers. Bad’s just happy to have a new egghead join the crew and his opinions on Tommy completely changed now that Tommy likes The Egg.

They make a one weird-ass “family”...

Also in this AU, the egg piece Tommy got formed its own conscious but is still connected to the main Egg...

So technically that means that there’s two eggs the people in the server have to deal with

(; O_O)

The egg piece gets attached to Tommy and slowly starts merging with him...

At some point in this AU (very later on), there’s a confrontation between Tommy and Sam. Sam couldn’t bring himself to hurt Tommy so he tries to talk some sense into him. It nearly works as it manages to snap Tommy out of it briefly, however, at this point in the story, the egg’s influence over him has become too strong so it manages to get back in control. To make matters worse, Bad intervenes before Sam could try to reason further.

Sam is wearing a modified and better-equipped version of the Church Prime hazmat suit that was designed and enhanced by the Dreamon Hunters (yes I’m adding them to the story I would be a fool not to)

Tubbo also encounters Tommy very later on, equipped with his Dreamon Hunter suit and gear. Tubbo is horrified at what his best friend has become while Tommy is happy to see him. (Of course at this point it’s mostly The Egg talking through Tommy, trying to coerce Tubbo to join him 😬)

Also the vines on Tommy’s back act like extra spider-like limbs
