A Brief Refresher on the Sam Bucket Saga and the Egg
It’s been a while since the first two streams in the Sam Bucket trilogy, and people who have fallen out of keeping up with the Dream SMP in the past month or two might be wondering...
Who the hell is Sam Bucket and why is his lore significant?
What’s the red portal?
Is the Egg really a thing again?
Why is Foolish involved?
Well, here’s a brief recap in case you want to watch the finale but don’t want to watch everything else first!
Tumblr media
This trilogy is a little unique in terms of DSMP lore, as it is not chronologically aligned with actual real life time, but instead has two streams take place moments after another, with implications that time is frozen in-universe outside of the character’s POV for the duration of the stream.
Sam Bucket started off, like many others, as a joke character, so I won’t go through the entire backstory of his first appearances pranking Bad.
---
Lore Vods
(Not including previous appearances of Sam Bucket before these)
---
MARCH 29, 2022: WHO IS SAM BUCKET? (Bad’s POV)
APRIL 20, 2022: JUST WHO IS SAM BUCKET? (Awesamdude’s POV)
---
So...Who is Sam Bucket?
Sam Bucket is identical to regular Sam and Sam Nook. Unlike Sam Nook, he does not seem to be a robot. He is characterized by saying only his own name in various tones, and constantly carrying buckets.
Sam Nook, the robot, knows of Sam Bucket’s existence. In fact, in a conversation with Foolish, Sam Nook seems to be concerned about him, considering Sam Bucket a dangerous entity.
---
TIME FREEZE 1: THE FOREST FOUNTAIN
---
Bad was at his mansion one day telling Sam about Sam Bucket. Sam, of course, doesn’t believe Bad and thinks he’s been drinking. Sam leaves Bad at the mansion.
Bad goes to try and find Foolish in the desert, but, instead of Foolish, Sam Bucket is at Foolish’s home looking through Foolish’s belongings. After Bad gives him some buckets, Sam Bucket leaves. Bad follows him in secret to a forest just outside of Las Nevadas. The sky goes black and a path of soul torches, strewn with Wither skulls, leads into the woods.
In the woods, Bad finds Sam Bucket at a fountain of water surrounded by pillars of stone with buckets hung on them. On two of the pillars are names written in red: one, Bad’s now has a filled bucket. The other, empty, is Foolish’s.
Bad trips and is noticed by Sam Bucket. Sam Bucket chases Bad all the way back to the mansion, until Bad turns behind him to see Sam Bucket. The screen cuts to black.
When Bad comes out of the mansion, the sky is bright again and Sam is there. The two of them had just spoken a few minutes ago. Bad tries to show Sam the fountain in the forest, but, of course, it is gone.
The two go walking down the Prime Path back, and Bad asks Sam who Sam Bucket is. Sam says there is no one named Sam Bucket.
---
TIME FREEZE 2: THE UNDERGROUND TUNNELS
---
Taking place moments after the first stream ends, the second is from Sam’s POV. After leading Bad home, Sam parts ways with him, suspecting the Egg might be at fault. Sam goes to the Egg Room to inspect it.
In the back rooms behind the Egg, Sam finds a new tunnel, this one leading to a maze of underground chambers splattered with murals of the Egg and strange writings on the walls. Inside the chests, Sam finds journal entries:
Sam Bucket was going mining in a ravine one day when he came across some of the Egg’s infamous Blood Vines. The source, he found, was buried, but as he got closer and closer he began to hear voices. As he continued to dig, he eventually found the source of the Vines: The Egg.
He was eager to show everyone his discovery. Once he did, though, some were not so on board as the Vines began to spread to the surface. The Egg knew how to take care of this situation, and gave Sam Bucket a plan to take care of the troublemakers once and for all...
Like Bad did, Sam Bucket was affected by the Egg’s promises, dragged into helping it grow. There were people, friends of Sam Bucket, who didn’t like the Vines who had to be dealt with. It is uncertain what happened to them.
Sam Bucket had dug tunnels underground to help the Vines grow. The first one, he wrote, would be “under his house” (who exactly is unknown).
In the chambers, Awesam finds a similar pillar circle to the one Bad found. Past a Blood Vine he finds Sam Bucket standing before what looks like a bright, red, glowing portal.
It is at that point that Sam Bucket notices Sam and gives chase, sending Sam running all the way back to the surface by Bad’s mansion.
Bad had only just been talking to Sam a few minutes ago! But Sam explains what happened.
The two decide that, together, they must go down to the underground once more to find out what’s going on.
And if they do, they must be prepared to destroy the Egg.
---
So...who is Sam Bucket?
---
Sam Bucket appears to be a man who discovered the Egg long before Bad did, judging by his mention of friends (as people on the Dream SMP currently don’t seem to know Sam Bucket). He went down a similar path to Bad and likely pulled some sort of Red Banquet-esque stunt to deal with the people who didn’t like the Egg.
One way or another, by the time Bad found the Egg, it had been buried again, and Sam Bucket’s friends are nowhere to be seen.
For some reason, Sam Bucket seems to have a fixation not only on Bad but also Foolish, going to Foolish’s home and aiming to get a bucket of water from him. The water is a recurring theme here, and those who watched the Egg Arc might remember how holy water from the fountain of Church Prime played a large role.
Bad was certainly a leader of the Egg’s resurgence, but why Foolish? Well, Foolish’s first life was fed to the Egg, and in order to purify the Egg’s voice from his head he had to submerge himself in the holy fountain. The Egg may still be after him, or even lying in wait in his own head.
Another point of interest is the red portal. What does this portal lead to? It’s not a Nether portal like the one to Ohio, nor does it likely lead to Utah.
Could it be a different dimension ruled by the Egg? A teleport to an important location on the server? A doorway to Texas? Who knows.
The Finale will give us the answers!

quackity lore stream finale (ep.5)
a recap of what happened during quackity’s las nevadas 09/10/22 lore stream finale.
The stream begins with a flashback to September 10, 2020. Quackity meets Tommy and they discuss the upcoming elections and the hope/excitement they both have for the new nation. It immediately cuts to a scene of Las Nevadas, alarms blaring, and on fire.
Chapter 1: Trust
Weeks after the death/disappearance of Slimecicle, Quackity visits a grave he built in his memorial, placing a photo of them together for decoration. The day before he died, he gave Slimecicle a key to Las Nevadas. Before he died, he had told Slimecicle that he wanted him to have Las Nevadas. In the flashback, he mentions that Quackity broke his own rule-- Trust Nobody, but he trusted Slimecicle.
Chapter 2: Open and Closed
It is the grand opening of Las Nevadas-- But there are only three people, Fundy, Foolish, and Skeppy. Underneath the city, Quackity is upset that they could only invite a couple of people because there are tensions due to the war. He misses Slimecicle and how he could always follow orders.
After seeing slimes in the room underground, he comes up with a plan-- He will extract the slime from the ground, grow them in the city, and, using the power of evolution, turn them into human beings.
When the citizens of Las Nevadas are fully created 90 days later, he tells them that their sole life purpose is to serve Las Nevadas. Everyone is their enemy other than him, the one person they can listen to. Their life belongs to Las Nevadas and they will die for Las Nevadas.
Chapter 3: Las Nevadas Down
There is an intruder in Las Nevadas.
In a cave Purpled has been hiding out in, he is approached by Punz. He proposes killing Quackity through torture, mentioning that he tortured Dream for months. He confesses that Dream paid him a hefty amount to investigate and relay the message to him.
At first, Purpled does not believe him.
In a cage, Purpled has Quackity’s one weakness-- Slimecicle. Punz tells him he should him to hate Quackity, and eventually kill him with the help of Dream.
Chapter 4: Death
In Limbo, Ranboo is alone on a single grass block in the middle of a lake of water. Mexican Dream boats to him. Ranboo mentions that he misses his son Michael on earth, and Mexican Dream tells him to get on the boat and they will try to find a way to leave together.
He brings Ranboo to the shore, where El Rapids is. They reflect on their lives on earth. Mexican Dream says that he will bring him to someone (who “used to be a president”) for a party, and maybe he can help him.
He brings Ranboo back to his block. If Mexican Dream can make it back to the mortal realm, is there anything he wants him to tell people? Ranboo tells him to “Remind them of me”.
As Mexian Dream is leaving, he writes in his journal what happened.
Chapter 5: The End of Las Nevadas
In Las Nevadas, Slimecicle is there. Quackity is overjoyed with happiness, and asks him if he remembers what Purpled did to him. Then, Purpled and Dream appear. Quackity tries to run with Slimecicle and hide in the casino, but they break the door open with TNT.
Quackity defends himself, saying.he did what he did to Dream for a reason.
Quackity pulls a lever, which sets off fireworks. Foolish sees them in the distance and goes to Las Nevadas.
Slimecicle puts on netherite armor and confronts him. (“Legacy is what you leave behind, Quackity. So why did you leave me behind?”) He turns on him. (“Im going to dap you up.. With a fucking sword!”).
Foolish sees Quackity surrounded, and pushes a secret button. It lets out his army of human slimes, who flood into the city to come to his aid. They chase Dream out of the city, though he kills most of them. Slimecicle and Purpled chase Quackity to the top of the tower.
Quackity reminds Slimecicle of the lessons and tries to convince him that Purpled is the one who killed him. Slime and Purpled corner him to the edge of the tower, and just as Purpled is going to kill him, Slimecicle pushes Purpled off.
He turns to confront Quackity. He reminds him of the lessons:
Lesson 1: Humans are assholes. (“You showed me that”)
Lesson 2: Politics are the way to power.
Lesson 3: Create no emotional attachments.
Lesson 4: Everything gets destroyed.
Lesson 5: Trust nobody
Lesson 6: Hold your ground against authority.
Lesson 7: Seek successful revenge. If you fail, the consequences will be bitter. (“I will not fail”)
Slimecicle: “We have one thing in common. The same human ruined our lives. Because you are not a good person.”
Lesson 8: Legacy is all you leave behind in this world.
Slimecicle tells him: “I hope you leave behind a good one,” and pushes Quackity off. Quackity dies, losing his second canon life.
Later, in Kinoko Kingdom, the Artic, and Paradise, he leaves them a letter. He wants to end his feud with them and start anew.
He and Foolish are not yet done with Las Nevadas. He has one last chance in life and he doesn't want to waste it.

i missed the lore stream 👎 can you summarize
val. darling. I. okay.
so uhhhhh we open with Wilbur reading Ozymandias. y'know. normal c!Wilbur behaviour.
then we flashback to the beginning of L'Manberg and see Wilbur confess to Tommy that he likes the L'Manberg idea because Tommy came up with it. that L'Manberg reminds him of Tommy.
he promises nothing bad will happen to L'Manberg (or Tommy) and swears to protect him with his life. beautiful transition of a flying shot of the camarvan and the lake turning into the L'Manberg crater.
back to now, Tommy and Wilbur are heading for Las Nevadas. Wilbur's looking for Quackity but he's not there. they climb the needle and jump into the fountain, break windows in the tubburger and go by the burger van. they look at the hole left by the ranboo-boner incident room and Wilbur tells Tommy they blew up the horse.
then Wilbur starts talking about going away. I'd really recommend watching this scene because Tommy absolutely does not pull his punches. Wilbur refuses for a while to tell him what he's planning to do but Tommy keeps pushing. eventually when Wilbur is still refusing to tell him, he pulls out a diamond sword and hits Wilbur, who panics and says he'll tell him. Tommy throws the sword away and says "I don't know why I did that."
Wilbur tells Tommy he's going away. Tommy panics and fully asks him if he's going to kill himself. Wilbur says no. I don't remember exactly what was said in this moment because thirty seconds later Wilbur tells him he's going to Utah and my brain promptly shut off.
but anyway Wilbur tells Tommy he's from a gas station in Utah and wanted more so he came to Dream SMP and now it's his time to sail home. he gets in his boat and is about to go when Tommy points out that he never apologised to him, and that he also never apologised to himself. Wilbur explains that his apology to Tommy was the events of Inconsolable Differences (the Dream-prison-discs stuff) without saying it because that way Tommy couldn't reject him.
he then gives Tommy a book which he explains that he's been keeping since the beginning, and though it was about to be about himself and his plans, it became about Tommy? I think? again by this point my brain is totally scrambled.
Tommy reads the book and seems satisfied. Wilbur then gets in the boat and sails into the sea. there's this crazy warping type noise and then we see Wilbur disappear from Tommy's pov. he's crying.
Wilbur, real life Wilbur, appears dressed as his ox in the desert in Utah. he seems happy.
then we go to an animated segment where we seeing Ghostbur crying on the platform in limbo, but then a train pulls up and Friend steps out behind him.
then the stream ended. and I have spent every minute since reeling.

DSMP Transcription: The White House Fight
This transcription covers the conflict over the destruction of the White House in Manburg (17 October 2020), from when c!Schlatt announced its destruction, to c!Quackity leaving Manburg after shooting c!Schlatt and the immediate aftermath. The scene immediately afterward (c!Tommy confronting c!Quackity and recruiting him to join Pogtopia) is not included.
This transcription mainly covers c!Quackity and his POV of the incident, but is supplemented with c!Tommy and his POV and reactions to provide (the only) outsider perspective of the incident.
This took me about 11 hours over the course of ~3 days, and has been in my plans for months. It aims to provide a relatively objective analysis of c!Schlatt’s behaviour at one of his worse moments, and indirectly, a partial analysis on Manburg-era c!Quackity and his behaviour. The transcription also serves as a more detailed continuation of this post I made in August 2021 summarizing the abusive behaviours shown within the incident by c!Schlatt.
Content warnings - all transcribed from canon:
Death
Execution (mentioned)
Intimate partner abuse (further discussed)
Sexual harassment
Swearing
Toxic masculinity
Violence
The Google Document linked does double duty and includes an analysis of abusive behaviour in comments to the side, which also include annotations on self-defense and context of the situation. Due to the frequent commenting, it would be impossible to post the transcription as a Tumblr post, and for this, I would like to apologize for the relative lack of accessibility in comparison to my previous transcript.
Notes:
The list of abusive behaviours listed is not necessarily comprehensive and may be subjected to updating with further analysis of the scene.
Of course, the entire document is /rp /dsmp.
The writing of this post was partially inspired by this post by @rebelpeas (hope you don’t mind the tag) about the fanon portrayal of the abusive relationship; and this post also aims to act partially as a basis on how the relationship was portrayed in canon as opposed to fanon. (It isn’t a complete basis, given this was the build-up to the end of the relationship after several weeks if not longer, but it should help to act as a characterization guideline.)
[Link to the record/analysis/transcript document]
See the conclusion/summary to the list of abusive behaviours under the cut (is also available in the document, at the very bottom):
Final Conclusion of Abusive Acts in the White House Fight
Physical Abuse: 4 – pickaxe hits. 3 of those hits can be seen from c!Tommy POV of the incident through the window.

Belittling Accomplishments: At least 1
Boundary-Breaking: 5 (Insulting Appearance and/or Body-Shaming: 4)

Name-Calling: At least 14
Property Destruction: 1 – for the entire ~10 minutes
Shutting Down Communication: At least 5
Yelling/Screaming: At least 6
Something with Sexual Overtones (that I'm not 100% solid on, regarding where it should be placed on the abusive acts list) But Should Still Be Noted: At least 3
Something Related to Toxic Masculinity: At least 8
"Beta male": 3
"Cry about it": 3
"Not a real man": 2
Total Number of Abusive Acts: At least 36

A quick recap of Foolish's lore for future reference:
- First, he met up with XD who is apparently weakened now
- XD explained that Foolish's immortality is not a permanent thing and he basically ran out. So if he doesn't wanna die (by XD's hand) he gotta start killing people for him now
- Foolish tries to kill Sam Nook unsuccessfully
- Later Dream comes along and they have a bit of a dick-measuring contest where Foolish makes it clear he knows Dream is a complete scumbag and Dream tries to undermine Foolish's value by saying that it's ridiculous that someone as rich as him would be working for Quackity
- Sam is there too and he's two seconds away from a panic attack at all times
- It comes to a halt when Foolish strikes up a deal with Dream, he'd lure Quackity to his base so Dream can kill him in exchange for Dream killing people for him
- Also, interesting to know that canonically Sapnap has been hunting Dream down this whole time, and Dream proposed killing him, but Foolish's told him not to
- And, well, Foolish knows about both the revival book and the death book, but he's only interested in the death book and he knows Sapnap has it which is why he wants him alive
-And also Dream fucking bringing up Tommy every 10 minutes just so we know he's still fucking obsessed

10/29/22 Egg Lore RECAP
Proceed with caution! Spoilers Ahead!
This recap is fairly long and detailed, it reads a little like a fic. Fair warning.
OK! So we start off with a recap of the previous Egg lore streams last week! This recap takes a while but I’m going to skip it for now since I haven’t watched every POV and those streams are from last week. After the recap, we see Bad’s POV of the events directly after the Red Banquet. He flees on a boat across the ocean, thinking about how he found the Egg and what it, or rather he has done.
He lands on BD island, where Skeppy has been living alone, apparently refusing to talk to Bad. Bad stands at the door to the house and tells Skeppy that he was right about the Egg, he seems horrified that he attempted to kill all his friends, and wonders if they’ll ever be able to forgive him. He then goes to sit on a dock outside.
(ANIMATION) While Bad is sitting on the dock, Skeppy exits the house and slowly comes to stand beside him, holding a diamond sword. Bad, without looking up, asks Skeppy if he thinks their friends will ever be able to forgive the Red Banquet. Skeppy says he thinks they will. The screen then cuts to black, the animatic ends, and we hear the sound of a sword swinging. It is heavily implied that Skeppy has killed Bad.(ANIMATION END)
Bad wakes up in his bed at the mansion, and we see that his clothing (previously turned white by the Egg’s influence) is now back to its usual red tinting. This is essentially an unspoken way of communicating that Bad’s death has freed him from the Egg. I’m unsure if it was a canon death or not. Bad’s soul is tied to Skeppy’s life and I’m not sure if canon deaths mean anything as he is effectively immortal in that regard. Bad, after just laying bed for a while, gets up and leaves the mansion. It is an overcast day on the Dream SMP.
We then go into another cutscene, but it’s more of a continuous flying shot. We start at the nether portal, and ominous, tense music is playing. As we fly down the prime path, the scene flashes from normal to covered in Crimson with the beat of the music. It’s almost as if we’re seeing flashes of either the future, or an alternate world where the Egg takes over. The shot slows down as it reaches Bad’s Mansion. Through the arch on the prime path just before it lowers to Bad’s house, we see a consistent Crimson view. Outside of this framed arch, the world is normal. The camera slowly enters under the arch, and as we come out the other side we enter an entirely Crimson world.
After this ominous view of the greater prime area, we cut to the present where Bad is heading into the community house. There he meets Ponk and Eryn, all of them are in full netherite except for a lack of helmets. Bad, who is clearly in charge, goes over the plan - They plan to enter the Egg’s current room, look any signs of Puffy, and then leave. The reason they aren’t wearing helmets is because Bad has given them iron ones, which they’ll wear in the Egg’s room to protect their minds (the Egg is weak against iron.) They are in full netherite because they expect resistance from the others (Sam, Ant, Hannah, CPK) and are willing to get in there by any means necessary.
We then cut to Sam, who leaves his bank and heads to a trapdoor just outside, where he descends into a bunker-like area. Hannah, Ant, and CPK are all already there. Their plan is: keep Bad, Ponk, and Eryn out of the Egg’s room by any means necessary. They believe that the three have been possessed by the Egg, and are trying to release it. Sam also adds that he’s added “surprises” in case things get messy. CPK expresses doubt that this is the only way, it seems as though he doesn’t want to fight the other three, but the rest of the group convinces him.
We cut back to Bad and his group, who are walking down the path, talking about how all known entrances to the Egg’s room have been sealed overnight somehow. This was done by Ant’s group to force them toward the spawner entrance, but the three don’t know that. They head to the spider spawner where the other four are waiting for them.
Ant, who is in front, and his group confront Bad, Eryn, and Ponk. Bad pleads to the other group to allow them to look for Puffy, but is refused. They all accuse each other of working for the Egg, with Bad saying it seems as though there’s something down there “you don’t want us to see.” Ponk brings the three of them together in a group huddle and explains that they will distract the other group, and then Bad and Eryn can get to the Egg. They then approach the other side, where they claim they actually think Bad and Eryn are crazy and want to help stop them from getting the Egg. Ant and his group lower their guard, and Ponk attacks them, driving them away from the spawner entrance.
Bad and Eryn drop down, followed closely by Ant and Hannah. Ponk stops Sam from following, and reveals that they are the one that has taken Fran. They appear very angry, and want to get revenge on Sam. Sam begs for Fran not to be hurt, and Ponk demands he remove his armor and weapons, which he does.
The scene switches to Bad and Eryn, who have a head start and manage to get into the Red Banquet Hall, and seal up the entrance behind them to slow Ant, Hannah, and CPK down. Eryn hasn’t really been here before and is curious, Bad tells him that the Egg teleported deeper underground after Foolish attempted to destroy it. Bad thinks the Egg is indestructible.
We cut back to Ponk and Sam, and from Sam’s voice we can assume Ponk has been torturing him. Sam is slowly being backed into his own bank, with Ponk telling him how much their torture at his hands affected them. Sam begs them not to hurt Fran, and Ponk says that after they’ve finished with Sam, they’ll kill Fran slowly. Sam asks how can they do that if they’re dead, and then seemingly uses a statis chamber to teleport out of the bank. Ponk is confused, until they realize that Sam rigged the building with TNT. They manage to say “Oh sh-“ before being blown to pieces.
We switch to Sam, who is dragging himself forward (through his house? Ponk’s house? I’m not sure) muttering weakly that he’ll save Fran over and over again. He collapses and dies from his injuries before he gets to where he was trying to go. Sad music plays as the camera leaves Sam’s body and flies slowly down the hall to the end. Behind bars is Fran, tied to a post. Seeing as both Ponk and Sam are dead, we don’t know what will happen as no one knows where this dog is. Fran whimpers, and the screen cuts to black.
Bad and Eryn make their way down Sam Bucket’s tunnels, except something is different. The place is covered in Crimson, and Bad says that the only way this could’ve happened is if someone broke the iron seal, and freed the Egg. As they get to the entrance, they realize the seal has indeed been destroyed, and they walk into the room, to stand in front of the Egg in all its glory. Really cool and ominous organ music plays as we get a full shot of the Egg, with them below it.
They look up and see that Puffy is trapped in a cage hanging from the ceiling of the room and isn’t moving. Bad says that this must’ve been what the other group was trying to hide from them. Before they can free Puffy the other group arrives. They are also shocked to see Puffy, and Hannah and Ant immediately accuse Bad and Eryn of doing this. Ant goes off on Bad about being the source of all their problems related to the Egg. Bad says that Ant was just as involved as him. Ant says that Bad has lost nothing to the Egg, and got to escape it without harm. They accuse each other of working for the Egg again.
CPK gets in between them, claiming that they all care about Puffy and that they shouldn’t argue. CPK defends Bad and Ponk, stating that the two of them were nice to him when he joined, and were his first friends. He turns to face Bad as he says that he believes him. Hannah protests, but CPK stays firm that they shouldn’t be fighting, that they should listen to each other. He doesn’t get to say anything else. As his back is turned, Ant strikes him down with an axe and kills him, right in front of the Egg.
Everyone is shocked, including Hannah. Ant says he can’t do this anymore, he seems extremely agitated and not thinking clearly. Bad is extremely angry, and tells Ant that he will kill him before attacking. Ant is forced out of the room, and Bad follows. They fight for a bit, before Bad stops and pleads for Ant to listen and believe him when he says he isn’t controlled. Ant swears to kill him and break the Egg’s perceived hold on him.
We switch to Eryn and Hannah who are also fighting. Hannah launches into a speech about how terrible Bad is, about how Bad is the one who did all the damage with the Egg before. She says she betrayed her friends because she trusted Bad. Eryn tells her that Bad isn’t like that anymore, and that Hannah is scapegoating him for her own guilt and mistakes. Hannah admits that maybe she is, but at least she knows the danger of the Egg. Hannah once again tells Eryn that Bad is just tricking all of them, but Eryn doesn’t believe her. Hannah lowers her weapon and says that she doesn’t want to fight, and that maybe they can find Bad and Ant and talk it out. Eryn trusts her and lowers his weapon as well.
We cut back to Bad and Ant. Ant has Bad backed into a corner, where he is still pleading to be believed. Ant says that it doesn’t matter if Bad or himself is controlled, only that this needs to end, and for that to happen Bad must die. Bad reluctantly responds that he will kill Ant to protect himself, and they launch into another fight.
We switch back to Hannah and Eryn. Eryn turns to question what to do with Puffy, and Hannah attacks him again, unwilling to risk the Egg winning. Just as she is about to kill him, Bad appears and shoves her into one of the many lava pits surrounding the Egg. He says, “I’m getting good at that.”
It is implied that Bad has also killed Ant as well.
Bad and Eryn have a conversation about Eryn’s parents. Eryn wants to ask the Egg where they are, and get its help. Bad knows that even if the Egg knows the truth, it will only ever hold it just out of reach. He promises to help find Eryn’s parents once they get out of here, and Eryn agrees. Eryn is then shoved into lava by a previously unseen person, and the Egg begins to rumble. All the people being killed around it are acting as sacrifices, feeding its power. Bad is left the lone survivor of the group, and turns to face the person who killed Eryn: Puffy. Bad asks her why, and as she opens her mouth to speak, her voice morphs into that of the Egg. (The Egg is voiced by Velvet.)
The Egg launches into a very very good and very very long speech about how it has lived for eons but has constantly been thwarted by ‘heroes.’ It speaks about the nature of humanity: to be controlled by fear and hatred, to turn on friends at the slightest provocation. It tells Bad that he belongs to it. It explains that the one who planted the evidence that split the group was Skeppy.
Although Skeppy was freed from the Egg, he feared for Bad’s freedom, and made a deal with the Egg of his own volition so that it would release Bad from its grip. In return, he did its work for it. But none of that mattered in the end, according to the Egg, because Bad ended up right back in front of it anyway.
It tells Bad he belongs to it. It says, “You are mine.”
It says that he is destined to serve it until he dies, which won’t be long. It intends for Bad to be its final, and greatest sacrifice.
Bad doesn’t even try to get away as Puffy raises her axe to kill him.
 And that’s the end.
The credits roll, faded shots of the Dream SMP. It ends on a shot of the Egg. As the screen fades to black, we hear the unmistakable sound of an eggshell cracking.
The end.
(If you have anything to add, or anything I should change, please feel free to let me know! If there’s spelling issues I wrote this on discord, that’s why.)

Now I know for sure that unlike SOME OTHER SMP squints at dsmp if they were to actually explode the server the parents of their fictional mob/inanimate child would actually either make sure their child was safe from the explosion or would be there with their child to, you know, MAKE SURE THEY WEREN'T FACING THE END ALONE

[Archive of Previous Recaps]
---
- Aimsey reflects on his time on the server so far. He wishes he could have someone to talk to. It seems like everyone is gone. Eryn, meanwhile, listens to the disc “Mall” alone as he mines blocks underground
- There is one person who Aimsey has still become friends with...sort of. They tried to break into a mansion together, but in the end had a good talk
- Aimsey goes to the Community House and finds Eryn's underground area. Eryn, meanwhile, has been thoroughly defeated by a skeleton
- Aimsey finds Eryn in his dirt house. He has spent ten weeks mining, because what else is there to do?
- The two go back up to the surface and head to Daisy Hollow for a hot chocolate and some heart-to-heart talking. Eryn’s tried talking to people, but everyone’s always upset all the time and that itself is upsetting
- Aimsey and Eryn go on a walk. Aimsey asks if Eryn’s talked to Tommy recently. Eryn hasn’t. Tommy’s been talking to Wilbur
- Eryn shows Aimsey the place where he killed BadBoyHalo, who then adopted him. They try to play a game on the chess board, then Eryn tells Aimsey he heard voices near the crater
- He explains that he woke up after he’d passed out in the water at the bottom, and doesn’t remember what happened next. The two keep asking each other how they’ve been and deflecting every time
- Ponk logs on. They say hello
- Aimsey asks about the voices. Eryn hears people dying. At one place, he heard Bad speaking at some sort of party and then everyone screaming. Eryn would still do anything for Bad. They’ve had a little chat about it
- Aimsey asks if Eryn has ever lost anyone. Eryn asks Aimsey the same. Aimsey tells him about Guqqie
- Eryn kills a llama
- Ponk jumpscares them. Ponk is in bad shape after running into a yeti
- They ask what happened to Ponk’s arm. Ponk asks if they know Sam. Aimsey thinks Sam is nice, while Eryn thinks Sam is evil. Sam is what happened to Ponk’s arm
- The three break into Puffy’s duck to find a bed. Eryn plays them Mall. While Ponk is sleeping, Eryn wants to find Sam and kill him
- Eryn accidentally wakes Ponk up. If anyone is going to kill Sam, it’s going to be Ponk. Aimsey doesn’t want more murder, just wants to know what happened
- Word on the street is, they say, Sam killed Ranboo
- Aimsey wants to go talk to Sam and find out the story instead of seeking revenge. Ponk tells Aimsey that the history of the server is violence. You have to fight to survive, and Sam is a threat
- Ponk and Eryn are going to hunt Sam. Aimsey still doesn’t want to be involved. They tell Aimsey to be ready for danger, and Ponk says goodbye
- Eryn tells Aimsey he’s half demon. He used to have horns, but they got ripped off
- There’s something Aimsey wants to do. The two say their farewells and leave. Eret logs on
- Aimsey returns to Daisy Hollow and looks at his note to Guqqie. Aimsey misses Guqqie every day. But, Aimsey has begun to accept her loss
- Aimsey goes to speak with Eret at the museum. Eret explains what happened with Sam and Michael the piglin. Aimsey didn’t even know Ranboo had a son
- Eret and Aimsey talk about past mistakes and moving on. Aimsey then asks Eret about Dream. Eret is surprised that Aimsey doesn’t know who he is
- Eret tells Aimsey a bit about what happened to L’manburg, and how Dream was put in prison. She then tells Aimsey the story of Exile
Eret: “As long as he wants it...there is no too high of a cost.”
At the museum, Eret has a recreation of the prison cell as well as Tubbo’s detective book with the timeline of Tommy’s visit
- Eret takes Aimsey to Puffy’s canon life graveyard. Aimsey sees Ranboo’s and Wilbur’s memorials
- Aimsey learns of Wilbur’s revival. People don’t stay dead forever here... Aimsey glances over at Ranboo’s grave again. Eret doesn’t know why Dream would revive Wilbur
- Aimsey is excited by the idea that they can bring people back, but Eret reminds him that that power is in the hands of the worst person. Still, Aimsey wants to bring people back. They have hope
- Long ago, Eret used to have a group called the Knights of Eret, with HBomb and Puffy. She thinks they might be able to put together a similar group against Dream
- Aimsey leaves and Eret goes to speak with H, telling him about the “Knights of Hope” and their new goals
- If H joins the Knights, he is welcome to Eret’s resources and his previous space at the castle
- Foolish claims to know Eret from a previous life, he might be a possible recruit
- H agrees to Eret’s deal
- Later, Eret makes a list of all the people she wants to ask. Foolish, Puffy, Michael, Ponk, and possibly more

Wait if watching 60 hours of Philzas streams puts me in the top 2% then what’s the normal amount of time watching your favourite streamer? I really don’t think that’s a lot.
