Does Fundy use the dreams to benefit the casino?

GOOD QUESTION!!! I’VE NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I’M GONNA MAKE THIS LESS ANGSTY BC I HAVE A FUN IDEA IN MIND

after fundy does accept quackity and schlatt more into his life, he eventually does tell quackity about his nightmares on one of his off days.

instead of comforting him outright, quackity jokes that he can make las nevadas thrive more knowing that fundy can easily predict the future. fundy doesn’t dismiss the joke, actually playing off of it, but after a few rounds of mindless joking, they kind of realized that they CAN actually profit off of it

it is kind of become fundy’s coping mechanism for his nightmares because he used to view them has awful and scary, but after much help from quackity, fundy actually does begin actively looking for the benefits of his dream

fundy has a very acute memory so whenever he dreams of something, he writes them down immediately and discusses them with quackity and schlatt (who actually listens to him!)

while fundy never expresses it outright, he does feel safe telling quackity and schlatt about his dreams because they never dismiss him!! they always try their best to rationalize what fundy sees to not only predict the future of las nevadas, but so that they can also make fundy feel safer and less scared of his nightmares?

these are the following things they were able to do because of fundy’s dreams: 1.) they found out about purpled and punz’s money smuggling scheme because apparently, they were able to trick a drunk sam into telling them vault secrets about the place 2.) slot machine predictions. quackity does manipulate his customers because. well, money, and fundy feeds into that by giving some of the customers the worst slot machines with the worst reels. 3.) fundy also uses it for good tho!! during hold’em games, he can see everyone’s hands, so when he knows if a person is gonna lose, he does give subtle hints like facial expressions and comments just to warn the person to not bet at all. 4.) it helps him predict whenever wilbur and dream plan to visit the place because, while they aren’t always violent, they’re kind of las nevadas’ competitors as they’re both power-holders of the server

and i think the most important of fundy’s predictions is that sometimes, when schlatt dissociates and drifts off, fundy and quackity can easily find him.

even if fundy views his dreams as scary sometimes, he can at least guarantee the safety of those he cares about, and that’s enough for him.

i honestly think phil wouldn’t know of fundy’s presence in las nevadas!! he only saw fundy there when he began working FOR las nevadas as bodyguards

obviously, techno and quackity are each other’s foils, but because quackity has accumulated a lot of funds by creating las nevadas, i think he’d be able to buy out the syndicate... at certain times. not always, but also kinda have to work there to ensure the safety of ranboo and niki who are frequent customers at las nevadas. niki does gamble more but ranboo mostly is there because tubbo got addicted to slot machines

upon quackity’s request, phil and techno do try out some poker (much to techno’s dismay) and that’s where phil finds fundy for the first time in a while!! he is. concerned, of course, because fundy does not look like himself, especially with the longer hair, but phil didn’t want to discuss anything publicly since there were 6 other people at the table

phil did notice fundy at least seemed to be having fun. like, his work as a card dealer is reminiscent of his good ol’ pranking days where he used to have fun on the server. fundy doesn’t even seem to be mad that phil was there- he kind of treated him as if he was a typical customer

phil does talk to fundy after, maybe during a smoke break. fundy, while he is still very much himself, has changed a lot in appearance, and after lifting his goggles, phil thinks he doesn’t recognize fundy as much. so, obviously, phil is very concerned because fundy looks!! incredibly different and more unkempt and exhausted!! plus, when the hell did his grandson smoke???

but fundy does assure phil that he is being well-taken care of here. fundy does tell phil about his manberg days, where quackity and schlatt were the only people who did look out for him, and he says the same thing is happening now. and fundy does genuinely mean it!! he talks about how he genuinely cares for quackity and schlatt and appreciate their presence and just yadda yadda more compliments yadda yadda

fundy never brushed upon his mental health issues, but he thinks it’s enough to tell phil that there are people who care about him. because fundy has been so attached to l’manberg in the past, attached to the same people and roles that he conforms himself to- but now, phil sees him as his own unique person. sure, he looks staggeringly different, but that doesn’t mean he’s anything less of who fundy truly is. if fundy can thrive here as his own self, and phil appreciates that.

at the end of the talk, phil ruffles fundy’s disheveled hairdo and tells him that he’s really, really grown.

fundy marks las nevadas as a new chapter of his life, so to celebrate it, he decides to change his whole wardrobe! he outgrows his hair (which schlatt likes to braid and redesign often), finds different snazzy suits he likes to wear (quackity has a knack for style), and he also tries putting on simple makeup and nail polish from time to time. he's kind of unrecognizable to most of the server now, so this is EXACTLY what he wants.

fundy is really good at gambling if and only if no one tries to outcharm or outbluff him. fundy's incredibly good at bluffing, which makes it difficult to tell when he has a good hand. he's kind of like the daniel negreanu player who likes to make jokes at stoic players just to throw them off a bit, but he still embraces the fun of poker. fundy's a scary player, but his only weakness is that he never knows when to fold. even with the worst hands possible, he loves to bet on it with the most ridiculous bets. (this is kind of why quackity forces him to be a dealer because he is that good)

and more fundy card dealer headcanons: fundy is incredibly good at calculations. that's kind of what makes him the perfect card dealer. he will be able to count bets and calculate them at the blink of an eye. don't even try to outsmart fundy and cheat your way to get more money— he will not budge.

fundy also tried to love music again after charlie brought him a piano. it was rough at first, especially since the first time he attempted playing, he only made himself cry, but he does ease into it when quackity and schlatt are in the room with him. he likes to make original songs often, especially background jazz for the casinos and bars to blast loudly at night. quackity even encouraged him to sell his own albums at the casino which sold exceptionally well.

fundy is!! a crybaby!! as much as he presents as emo and mysterious and snarky, he cries easily! whether he'd stub his toe, or he's reading a sad book or watching a sad movie, or if he's talking to someone about something emotional— he cries easily!! sometimes, when fundy cries for like, fifteen minutes straight on a movie that they just watched, quackity always remembers to make hot chocolate and comb through his hair to make him calm down.

fundy loves rabbits!! because las nevadas is situated in a desert, and because fundy is fond of animals, he does like playing with a lot of the rabbits from the wilderness!! he doesn't necessarily adopt any of them, but he is really good at nurturing them if any of them are wounded and hurt. fundy also uses his “pets” kind of as a coping mechanism to get over the hurt he's received from people in the past. he names the rabbits different things, wilbur, dream, techno, phil, tubbo, tommy, eret, ranboo, his dead name— it helps. it helps him dissociate the negative feelings he has for those name and connect it to something more positive.

fundy gets easily entertained by any toy given to him, especially stim toys and anything with redstone. it's something schlatt figures out when he wanted to find things he can give to fundy so he can stop fiddling for his damn cigarette and lighter.

while quackity is more upfront with his ways of comfort, and schlatt is wiser and motherly (almost like a therapist), fundy's way of comfort is by telling others stories of uplifting, childish, innocent things. he likes cracking jokes and cheering the person up before he gets to give them advice. quackity and schlatt are more of the “solve the problem before comforting” while fundy prioritizes the comfort first, then solving of the problem later.

fundy loves to play pranks on schlatt and quackity. oh, you think this part of fundy changed? nope, not at all. redstone contraptions that spill water, adding hair dye to shampoo, whoopee cushions, unstitching hems on outfits— he does them all. sometimes, quackity would team up with fundy to play a prank on schlatt, but it also works vice versa.

fundy loves to call quackity and schlatt his “dad” as jokes, but sometimes, it just slips out naturally. quackity and schlatt respond INSANELY positive to it, so fundy doesn't stop, but he's glad that he can find someone he can call his “parents” without worrying about whether they'll leave or not. he didn't really expect it, but with the daily breakfast being delivered to his room by quackity, and the little notes schlatt slips into his pocket telling him to take care of himself, he thinks he won't mind it at all.

so like, as much as fundy cares about las nevadas, he also didn’t go there because he wanted to find companions or anything. his main philosophy at the moment is just to take chances whenever he can because he has nothing left to lose, so working there was more of a distraction for him from his own mental struggles

but when it hits, it hits. fundy’s really good at hiding it at work, and to be fair, he’s not asked to be heavily enthusiastic 24/7 because most of las nevadas’ customers are too focused on gambling and/or drinking. so when his episodes hit, he does what he can to finish the shift then heads back to his suite

(i have a fic for this lmao and i’m planning to make more)

on days where he’s off but not the worst, he typically smokes. it’s a habit he picked up from schlatt, and since diseases and sicknesses work really arbitrarily in the minecraft realm, he isn’t that worried about getting sick as much as he really should be

on his worse days, he drinks, but only in the bedroom. he typically does it alone, but this is where quackity sometimes intervenes because. well, we know what happened to schlatt

on his worst days, he lies in bed, silent. sometimes, they’re random, sometimes, these episodes are triggered by customers at work telling him he’s terrible at his job. or maybe he has those days where he questions his identity, and he dissociates. i hc that the “you’re not real”s from fundy’s book implies that fundy had started feeling unreal because he tends to be looked over a lot. people don’t typically reach out for him, so he feels like he’s invisible or unreal.

these episodes are not common, but they’re more frequent than it should be. he used to deal with them alone, but like i mentioned in the previous post, there was an event where wilbur and dream visited las nevadas and that put him in one of the worst slumps possible.

schlatt was the one who kind of pushed quackity to fucking do something about it because not only has fundy ruined his health bc of smoking and drinking, but he also wears his chest binder for a dangerously long amount of time without realizing. so, his breathing is rlly shitty if quackity and schlatt don’t come by to help

but it does get better! he now gets more dayoff’s when he needs to, and quackity is insanely good at analyzing whether fundy’s bluffing or fundy’s telling the truth, so even if fundy lies about it, he gets forced to go to bed anyway.

naturally, out of all of them, quackity is the more composed one, which is great n all but he's heavily relied on when it comes to everything and anything

schlatt and fundy literally do not know how to cook or buy stuff or heal themselves or anything, and it’s literally down to quackity to do all these things because he sure does know schlatt and fundy don’t tell him when they’re starving or hurt or anything

sometimes fundy and schlatt, in their own private suite (yes they all have suites on the last floor of their hotel) would wake up to a ziplocked bag of pb & j just stationed on their desk left by quackity

quackity is also the only one who doesn’t drink/smoke as much as fundy or schlatt do, and he isn’t afraid to snatch any cigarettes he sees from them. one time, fundy opened a pack to see that it’s filled with lollipops with a small note that had a heart on it

(fundy does kind of lessened his smoking habits a bit because of this. he doesn’t want to admit it but he really likes the lollipops lmao)

every morning, whenever he sees schlatt, he always does memory exercises with him before they start the day. simple statements of “you live in las nevadas, you are schlatt, i am quackity, and our other good friend here is fundy. you’re alive, you’re safe, and we’re going to start a new day.”

they aren’t necessarily a family, and they don’t label themselves that way, but there was a gradual shift wherein quackity considered them as tools to good friends. after losing his own fiances, quackity kind of had no one else to protect in las nevadas? 

so here he was, accidentally finding a new group of people to attach himself to. there was a point where wilbur and dream visited and some Chaos happened because las nevadas is a threat of power, and fundy got hurt because he was kind of the only competent pvper there. and quackity. whew quackity realized that he actually grew attached to fundy and schlatt because he had a moment of fear where he thought he’d lose them.

(doesn’t help that he’s gotten even more scared of losing them after he knows of their self-destructive tendencies. after that event, fundy fell into a depressive slump and quackity had to stop las nevadas for a few days to take care of him)

schlatt’s typically insecure about his appearance because of his decaying skin so quackity always does Anything he Can to find (or sew) the most dapper suits he can for schlatt. sometimes, during dayoffs, he would manicure schlatt’s horns and paints his nails so that schlatt can feel a little better abt himself

and on fundy’s off days where he stays in bed all day, quackity just sits beside him and tries to stay with him the entire day, combing through his hair while they just. talk. lots of philosophical thoughts and storytelling n all

you know what, if you don't know what to ask in particular, i will provide basic hc's of the au so you fan familiarize urself with it more!! it'll be called the famberg las nevadas au!!

fundy's main motivation after he's joined las nevadas is: do whatever the hell he wants because he thinks his life is genuiney purposeless, so why not just? do whatever?

it comes with repercussions, especially in the health department because fundy smokes PACKS of cigarettes as if it was a part of his diet. even schlatt is fundy he can finish a pack in a day if he really wanted to

but the fun fundy experiences is definitely at work— because as much as quackity merely asked fundy to work in las nevadas because he viewed him as useful, quackity eventually learned to kind of appreciate fundy and schlatt since they are literally the only ones quackity has left. even fundy and schlatt feel the same. they don't really hate each other, nor are they close, but they have a fondness for one another that they wouldn't exchange for anything else

they also play a lot of poker together! i say that fundy's style of poker is more fun and whimsical, so most people underestimate him, but fundy is REALLY good at poker and detecting tells. his only flaw is that he bluffs too often and never knows how to retreat from a bluff

schlatt is the more of quiet, observant, tryhard gambler. they kind of make fun of him for being the slow and practical one but i think out of all of them, schlatt does lose the least. his flaw is that he's too uptight and safe, and sometimes, he takes SO LONG to make a decision

quackity's the shit talker one with very obvious tells that he tries his best to suppress. he's very analytical of everything, but he mostly plays casually!!

quackity kind of runs the place but it's schlatt and fundy who do more of the hard work as quackity kind of. makes sure his customers like the place. fundy is a card dealer for some blackjack or hold'em booths while schlatt does roulettes because he's bad at shuffling cards. fundy's obviously the better worker though as he can calculate fast and deals cards well while schlatt is more uptight and doesn't like being rushed

in other boots, fundy has made redstone contraptions that dispense and shuffles cards itself!! most of the self-distributing booths are made by fundy— this counts slot machines!!

their only down side is that these bitches are really bad at comforting people. quackity can sometimes be too strict and cold while fundy tends to hide a lot, so schlatt takes up the role of Mother Hen whenever something bad happens. but as much as they aren't SUPER close, every argument does end with a small apology and them just. sitting next to each other because they know that's all they have and they will cherish each other for as long as they can live

this is especially important bc i do headcanon that fundy is kind of depressed/dissociates a lot as it was a byproduct of his trauma + identity loss, so whenever he does something wrong, he shuts down IMMEDIATELY. or when someone questions fundy's skills, fundy really loses energy— big rsd vibes you know

schlatt on the other hand kind of relates in a way but because he's still a ghost (quackity doesn't get revival book rights), his mind isn't that Good so he will forget easily or drift away or forget and his body is REALLY bad bc his skin is graying and flaking

quackity is their mother hen in this department bc he kind of is their medic in a way, and fundy's also the bubblier one in the group who will lighten up the mood whenever needed

hbomb plays a huge part into one of the biggest shifts in fundy's life. i've already mentioned this in a past post, but he basically is the one who tells fundy that he should stop relying on other people's inputs on how he should perform in life and instead just. exist. be who he wants to be without hyperfocusing on how he moves or acts.

while hbomb tries his best to simply stay away from the dream smp as much as possible, the only thing that makes him return every so often is niki and fundy. while niki has surprisingly gotten healthier and found a family she could return to, fundy didn't grow as exceptionally well as niki. before las nevadas, h would often find fundy just... dazing around.

fundy would be obsessed with his reflection and would easily shut down from the simplest of comments or observations. h would often visit fundy's base to check how he's doing, to make sure he's not hurting himself, and fundy, thankfully, didn't. but it was concerning how much fundy often just laid in bed wide-eyed, or be staring at his reflection for hours. even if h made a small noise to grab his attention, fundy would never notice.

there was a time where it had gotten really bad. one time, when he visited, he saw fundy unconscious on the ground with his mirror broken— it seemed like he punched it. h easily patched him up and got him to bed.

while h was creating a healing potion for fundy, quackity abruptly entered fundy's base proclaiming “hey, fundy, sorry to bother but i've got a propo-“ before he cuts himself off when he sees h. quackity looked embarrassed, then he looked concerned. he doesn't walk out like what h expects, but quackity approaches and asks what happened.

h replies in fully honesty— why would he want to lie to someone as good as quackity? h doesn't know why, maybe it's his tendency to overshare, but he talks about what he's observed from fundy for the past few weeks. quackity immediately looks more concerned (as if he wasn't already), but he levels his expression. he then says something that he had somewhere else to go, but he mentions fundy's case is pretty “interesting”.

h had to leave eventually, and fundy doesn't actually know it was h who took care of him that day.

fast forward, we see catmaid hbomb pestering fundy in las nevadas like what h always does best. he passes by every so often, but he mostly is there just to have fun rather than buy drinks and gamble. if he isn't dancing with niki, he'd be with fundy, constantly flirting with him just to cheer him up. genuinely, fundy thinks h's catmaid schtick is funny, but he never outright admits it, so when h sees fundy being mopey as fuck, h puts on the maid dress.

and he's gotten pretty infamous in las nevadas! mostly to the dismay of schlatt, but quackity does find it really funny. fundy does enjoy some extra company too, and h is at least happy to see fundy doing better than he was before.

one time, when h announces he'll go back to his mansion for a while, he doesn't really expect much but a fond goodbye from fundy. but then, fundy hugs him— a HUGE hug. it puffs the air all out of h. h is genuinely surprised, asking fundy why he's hugging him all of a sudden.

“a little birdie told me you were taking care of me before, you know, when i was. when i was really out of it. thank you."

and hbomb is silent for a moment before he hugs fundy back and pats his back fondly. he replies, “and thank you too, for being strong. i'm proud of how far you've come, dude."

but yes schlatt is their Rational mother hen who has the most common sense and i will expound on this

while quackity does take up a very motherly role to schlatt and fundy, schlatt is the rational one amongst the three of them. quackity gets easily irritated or pissed while fundy is sometimes too jokey and/or apathetic so schlatt has to be their voice of reason most of the time.

he was actually the first one who approached fundy and took up kind of a parental figure towards him. after quackity and fundy's first fight, they never really made up or apologized properly, so it was always schlatt who had to watch out for quackity and fundy's wellbeing. for fundy, he always had to make sure that he wasn't just. wasting away on cigarettes or is wearing his binder for too long because these are... behaviors fundy picked up because of schlatt. schlatt introduced him to smoking and drinking, and schlatt also pushed him a lot during manberg, and of course the “i'm a MAN” statement.

so, schlatt does all he can to fix this, to fix fundy. because he hates knowing that HE was the reason fundy started smoking, he HATES knowing that fundy dangerously clings to his chest binder because of the internalized transphobia he's instilled into fundy. he hates seeing fundy destroy himself because of shit he regrets doing when not sober, so he will monitor fundy snd be there for him whenever he can to make up for his past mistakes.

he even picked up on the habit of calling fundy “son” or “kid”. fundy used to not like it, but he became used to it too. schlatt will NEVER forget when fundy accidentally called him “dad” bc he swears to god he was happy crying like never before and fundy had to calm him before the tears burned his skin JDJDJDJS but it was all good lmao

and schlatt also tries to fix the damage he's done onto quackity. he keeps a considerable amount of distance from quackity if they ever have to stick to one another, and when quackity needs space, he will give him that space. but schlatt knows on quackity's off days, he tends to hide a lot in las nevadas, bathrooms and just. hide away to sob for ten minutes. schlatt would usually sit outside the bathroom door and talk quackity through things— or if that doesn't help, some songs do. schlatt knows quackity doesn't always want to be hugged by schlatt, so he finds other ways to comfort him n all. lots of soft, kind words and singing and storytelling and breathing exercises.

i think the reason schlatt cares so much is because his own personal limbo makes him believe he's nothing, that he's forgettable, that he won't be able to impact anyone else's lives the way he did when he was president. and it's fine, he usually copes with that realization with finesse because he truly doesn't want to be the same guy he was in the past. but he still wants to show he's capable of being WORTH something, that he still genuinely cares about some people. and if he can impact the small, small lives of quackity and fundy, then that's worth it. even if it's minor, even if it's worthless in the grand scheme of things, at least he knows it DOES something.

okay, now more onto headcanon time because i kinda deep dived into schlatt too much: schlatt does not know memes or anything “hip with the kids” and he tries so hard to impress quackity and fundy only for them to go “schlatt that's... well that was a nice joke, i guess?”. like, imagine him doing tiktok dances but REALLY badly and quackity and fundy have to just. smile awkwardly because they don't want to hurt his feelings

as much as quackity does all the cooking, schlatt, on the other hand, does a lot of the damn cleaning. he helps fundy clean his room when needed; he's not mad or anything, but he helps fundy clean because he knows that it's hard for him to do so.

schlatt's room on the other hand LITERALLY feels like your local grandma's house. antiques and lace and flowers and just old, vintage stuff— he rarely lets anyone in but when he does, he has to make SURE nothing gets touched or moved because he has grown too attached to his own room.

he's also the only one who gets fundy and quackity to sleep on time. in the past, he wants to at least get them to sleep before 3am, but after they grew closer together, schlatt convinced the three of them to sleepover more often!! :D

while quackity and schlatt have made fundy's dreams feel less threatening, fundy still occasionally has nightmares that shakes him to the core. if he ever has to bring a rabbit back home just to help them recover from an injury, he sometimes allows them to lay next to him as he sleeps because he isn't much of a thrashing sleeper.

sometimes, when fundy wakes up from a dream and feels that reality becomes a little more blurred and far away from him, the rabbits help fundy become grounded back in reality. when fundy has these episodes, the rabbits would crawl under fundy's palm and sit there, allowing fundy to feel the texture of their fur. it helps fundy believe once again that yes, he is real, he is feeling something that is very much real.

in his dreams though, he was wary of the bunnies at first. he initially thought they were vengeful or stalker-ish, so he avoided them, but after knowing the rabbits he met in real life, he began approaching the rabbits in his dream as well. safe to say that it all ended up great, and when he has nightmares, he basically as an army of rabbits ready to defend them whenever they can.

he brings the bunnies wherever he goes in the dream— down the underground room, in his original tower, l'manberg, all of it! sometimes, the bunnies would ever direct fundy on where the safe spots are.

and sometimes, when he's too scared to go out because of some tall, dark, looming figure, he'd stay indoors with his rabbits until he gains the power to wake up once more.

tldr; fundy adopting rabbits is the best idea he could ever have amen

wilbur had vaguely heard about las nevadas because of a small conversation he had with quackity in the past. way before quackity opened las nevadas, wilbur talked to him about the book he left him as his memorial.

the conversation was pleasant until they both realize that none of them are willing to share the power with each other, so a small rivalry was already set from this one conversation alone.

wilbur also learned a lot of information about las nevadas from the syndicate. while the syndicate does work for las nevadas, they also share information with wilbur and a newly escaped dream because they consider them as close allies.

(phil doesn't tell wilbur about fundy, though— kind of out of fear for both wilbur and fundy.)

at a certain point, wilbur and dream realized how powerful las nevadas has become as majority of the smp has migrated over there. like, the main smp became DESERTED. everyone began gambling and just handing their money over to las nevadas. so, wilbur and dream decided to visit to... assert their dominance you know? show that they still HAVE that power.

(i don't know the intricacies of how dream was let out of prison, but let's just say he was and is now under the care of wilbur and the syndicate)

so, wilbur struts over at las nevadas with some fresh explosives in hand— it's his brand, obviously. he NEEDS people to remember that he is a threat to ensure his place at the top of the food chain. that's his philosophy: if peace can't be achieved in the dream smp, he should at least conform to the system and do what he can to stay at the top. in this case, he's already highly acknowledged as dangerous because of the first l'manberg explosion, but he needs people to still be reminded that he (and dream) HAVE that flair and can STILL have that power.

in typical wilbur style, he walks in the main casino and casually announces that he has a bomb. dream is there in full netherite, acting as wilbur's devoted watchdog, but wilbur is the real perpetrator here. quackity, sam, and schlatt obviously try to intervene, but fundy is definitely still traumatized by the sight of his own father so he stays behind.

it's only when wilbur tosses an explosive casually is when fundy moves because wilbur throws it DIRECTLY at quackity. luckily, fundy was quick enough to put on his netherite and pull them away from the explosion.

and well, wilbur can't believe it. his own son, traitor of them all, becomes a traitor once more? wilbur wants to laugh, to scoff, but most important, he feels hurt. he hates seeing that his own son is once again not a part of his side. wilbur stands stunned for a bit, and dream asks if he wants him to spar fundy.

wilbur is definitely in a dilemma because he wants to stick to his core philosophies but he can't show himself as weak to anyone else in the room. how can he ensure his own safety if people don't view him as threatening? but wilbur upholds philosophies more than anything, so if he has to let go of his son, he will. it's a sad world, and he can't have everything, can he?

to be fair, they didn't intend to kill anyone entirely. they just wanted to scare everyone. give them a warning. so, wilbur orders dream to at least try hurting the staff to assert their dominance, to show who between the two of them has the higher power.

and obviously it's a tough fight— fundy and sam do the best they can to fight against him, but they do get heavily hurt instead. but again, dream isn't meant to kill them, so he lets them lay half conscious on the ground.

wilbur approaches fundy and kneels with the grimmest yet forced smirk on his face. he tells him, “this is what you've become? a follower, a man with no morals, empty and hollow? i'd expect more from you, son— or maybe i shouldn't have expected anything at all."

and wilbur and dream leave in style, letting off one more explosion to really hit the nail on the coffin.

and i don't want to say wilbur is HORRIBLE— he just sticks to his core philosophies and will do anything for it. if he has to leave his son, he will do it, because he believes that the means will always justify the ends. as long as wilbur can ensure the safety of himself and phil and tommy by making himself look untouchable, then so be it.

(this wouldn't be the last time he would visit las nevadas either.)

i'd like to this this au is set in a period after wilbur's resurrection and dream's prison escape where the entire smp is like. well, we're fucked— time to get wasted now!

quackity would originally look down upon eret, puffy, h, and punz because of the entire monarchy fiasco, but after knowing how rich eret was, quackity would let them slide. they don't seem to be a threat of power anyway, so why should he care? i also think eret might've helped supplied las nevadas too, maybe just simple materials here and there thanks to fundy's requests.

fundy has talked to eret multiple times whenever he visits. eret is good at stopping themselves from getting too addicted to alcohol or gambling, so they would be sober or healthy enough for fundy to have conversations with. eret has even probably had sleepovers with fundy because eret is still genuinely concerned about his wellbeing, you know? because to eret, it feels odd that fundy doesn't seem as lively as he used to be, even if he is still quite enthusiastic when he works, it still isn't the same.

eret often asks fundy about family. i think that's the main thing they always talk about— family, and found family. eret has found a family with the knights he's hired and giving shelter to all of the ex-members of the eggpire. eret's main concern is fundy, and if he could ever forgive them for missing the adoption. and fundy doesn't really know actually, because he is still quite hurt about it, but he's definitely moved on. he still values eret as a good friend, and eret reciprocates, and i guess that's what matters to him.

but in terms of family, fundy doesn't really know if he wants to label anything as family due to his trust issues. he often vents to eret about these problems, especially in the earlier stages of las nevadas. he's scared that if he ever labels something as family, they'd just leave him anyway, so he prefers not having a family. but eret still insists its important for fundy to have some type of support system, but this is where fundy tends to change the topic, and eret can't do anything but hopelessly nod along.

but there's a time that definitely changed! there's a time eret did hangout with fundy, do a simple sleepover like old times, and they woke up once to quackity and schlatt entering fundy's room with a tray of food. eret asked them what the food was for, especially since this didn't happen last time eret was here, but quackity replies that he kind of got used to it out of habit, especially since fundy doesn't really notice that he skips meals every now and then.

and eret is kind of surprised they care?? in a good way of course, because they're all. oh, fundy HAS found a better family to care for him. quackity and schlatt bids eret a good day before leaving, and eret approaches the tray of food quietly. there's a note placed atop. on the note, there's a to-do list for fundy with simple things like “remember to eat” or “remember to take breaks” or “lessen your cigarette intake”, and on the back, there seems to be a long note left by quackity. eret didn't want to invade fundy's privacy too much, but they did remember glancing at a small note that said “you are loved. take care of yourself, and never forget that” written somewhere on the paper.

NOW FOR NIKI! niki does visit, she visits a LOT, and she loves the upbeat vibes of las nevadas, anything with popping colors and enthusiastic moods are such a turn on for her, and she just loves to stay there for multiple days on end. the syndicate would be often concerned about her wellbeing, but niki ensures she doesn't really get too drunk or gamble too much.

(the drinking statement is debatable because, surprisingly, niki has a high tolerance for alcohol, so she drinks a LOT. where was this when she was having her villain arc?)

she's honestly just happy to be there, and she just likes to dance and groove! there's a thrill in las nevadas she never really experienced much in her life, and she's happy she can basically vibe here without worrying about betrayal or death every five seconds.

on the dance floor, she has danced with a couple of people. the first one she does dance with accidentally is schlatt, who seems to be Very Awkward when it comes to dancing. he honestly wasn't even supposed to be there— niki thinks he might've lost a bet or something? but niki still tried to make do with what she was given.

the most interesting conversations niki has had in her life has got to be the ones she has on the dance floor. when it came to schlatt, he was mumbling a lot, very awkward and tense knowing the state of their relationship during the manberg era, but niki puts that aside. because there's no point on lingering on the past for too long— she's talked to puffy and the syndicate about this far too many times— so she grabs schlatt and twirls him around like nothing has happened. he never really got to apologize, but he did give niki a fun dance, and you know what? it was fun! so that's all that matters.

quackity was the second one she's danced with, and quackity is the opposite of schlatt. he was charming, enthusiastic, extremely extroverted, and niki definitely enjoyed it! but to niki, she knows quackity isn't always this upbeat, or this loud and obnoxiously in your face, so when a slower song plays, she asks quackity if he can just shuffle alongside her slowly and follow her mellow footsteps. he calms, and she calms, and the conversations had dwindled into something more familiar. after a certain while, quackity admits that he's missed this, he's missed being vulnerable, he's missed being genuine, he's missed being soft and laidback, so niki tells him thst he's allowed to be that way for the rest of the dance.

and last person she's danced with was fundy. and fundy, she's definitely talked with before the dance, but she also calls in eret to join them. they boogie to an upbeat rhythm, dancing as if this feeling of euphoria and happiness was something they've experienced all their lives. niki knows that, often, whenever they meet up, there's always something that reminds them of their past faults, so they never got to be the way they were before the wars. so now, niki tries her best to make it different. that fun they had when they pranked tommy in the past, or find foxes together, or build weird statues— she will try her best reincarnate those feelings of pure happiness through stupid dance moves and stupid jokes because she misses it, and she will try her best to fix the friendship so that it'll be same, perfect thing it once was.

jack is pretty complicated, because i don't know much about jack, but i'd say he is one of quackity's... less responsible business partners. knowing jack, fundy and schlatt try their best to not get quackity to jump on his ass because quackity often gets mad at the ridiculous deals and offers jack gives.

i'd say that jack is just... having a pretty rough time. fundy and schlatt denote that he's kind of lonely, and his demeanor is very similar to quackity's wherein he uses irritation and/charm to mask the hurt they experience. and quackity... does soften up to that. he knows what it's like to feel alone and be left alone by people out of nowhere, so quackity decides to give jack another kind of offer: jack transfers ownership of their hotel back to tommy, and quackity will give jack a job offer to work at las nevadas' hotel. in that way, quackity doesn't need to make multiple exchanges with jack's business; he just needs jack to work for him lmao

so yeah, it's kind of a lax job. the hotel isn't the most booked all the time, but jack does enjoy managing the front desk since quackity actually allows him to get mad at shitty customers lmao. jack doesn't stay there 24/7 of course—if he wants to leave, he can just depend on fundy's redstone to do the work—but he does like working there because nobody looks down upon him. he feels like he has something he can do that he can do well, and nobody is looking at him as if he was inferior. sure, quackity and him are still not on the best terms, but jack doesn't feel like he's being belittled at all.

i'd say jack and sam kind of are friends too? because while schlatt, quackity, and fundy have their own thing, sam and jack manage las nevadas more on the sidelines, but they relate at the fact that they just casually do their own thing in las nevadas. it doesn't feel too awful or violent or belittling— it just feels normal.

sometimes, jack would visit the bar right after it closes to just. drink and talk to sam about... well, anything, really. these talks would typically last through the day, and they're kinda just glad they have found someone to talk to about, well, anything. it's hard to find a feeling of normalcy in the dream smp, let alone a feeling of peace and serenity, so even if they find this chill ambiance in a bar or a casino, they both still revel in the feeling of peace. they're happy with it, so they'll do whatever they can to maintain it.

charlie wound undoubtedly work as las nevadas, but he isn't there on BEHALF of las nevadas, if you get me? he would occasionally pass by and try to entertain some folks who are there. i feel like charlie would be a very comedic character, so he'd either do standup, or maybe do some other performance-based events.

he's honestly a cool guy— but his visits are ALWAYS random. quackity and schlatt don't even know when he plans to arrive or leave unless they get hints from fundy's dreams. still, they don't question the man. if he drops by, he drops by, and quackity does his best to accommodate him because it means good business.

i think charlie would be the one who sparks the fam's love for music again. after many wars, the three didn't really focus on anything else outside of the wars. the second time charlie visits (which is somewhat after the first wilbur event), he beckons fundy to go on stage and play something for the crowds. fundy was obviously bewildered, but he does what he can, and the crowd applauds his rendition of merry-go-round of life.

it's nice— charlie's enthusiasm really kickstarts the passion the three have long lost. even quackity has taken a stab at playing the piano again. schlatt doesn't necessarily play his own instrument, but he enjoys writing songs with quackity and fundy during their free time.

i say charlie is very similar to mr. wondertainment from the scp foundation. enthusiastic and jovial with hints of mystery surrounding him. but don't fret— his enthusiasm isn't secretly malicious at all. well, to quackity, schlatt, and fundy at least, since he does care about them. his “slime” is somewhat of a mysterious source of fuel that kind of strengthens a lot of the machinery and the structures of las nevadas.

the others didn't know of charlie's interceptions, but charlie doesn't mind. all he cares about is bringing back the happiness he once saw in people like schlatt or quackity. seeing them basically all, well, different really throws him off. if he can get them to be happier than they were in the past, then he'll do something to make that change.

before he leaves, he always makes sure to leave something behind. whether it'd be extra slime fuel, or a picture of schlatt's past found families he's forgotten about, or a new keyboard for fundy and quackity to mess with— he always makes sure to leave a gift behind.

(schlatt does wish that charlie talked to them more, but he was always, again, mysterious. they never knew what he was up to, so they just merely cherish him whenever he's present.)
