Part 2/9 (Planning has added another part)
Warnings: panic attacks, reader being a little awkward
A week passes in the blink of an eye. You’ve tried to keep busy while your friends are away at work, but you can only clean the house so many times before it becomes monotonous.
You’ve also checked out a few apartments that are renting, but every single one you’ve visited so far has left you disappointed: too small, in the wrong neighborhood, no yard, wrong vibe. A little piece of you knows you’re making excuses to stay with Shouta and Hizashi longer, but you can’t help that you want your new place to fit your needs perfectly.
In the same breath, you’ve also done what you promised you would, and looked into a few of the resources Shouta provided you with, for counseling and therapy services. You thought it would be easy enough, check out the websites, set up an appointment, etcetera etcetera, but the moment you open one of the tabs your throat closes up.
You’ve been trying for three days to look through everything, trying to push through your discomfort and underlying panic, but so far the only thing it’s done is make you tired and cranky and stressed.
You close the laptop for the fourth day in a row, having spent the last half hour reading through yet another counseling site. Maybe it’s your anxiety, maybe it’s your fear of admitting you’re struggling, maybe it’s because you know you’ll have to talk about things you really don’t want to talk about...but none of these places feel like the right fit. Just like the apartments.
You glance at the clock on the wall, sighing deeply when you find that it’s barely past noon.
Maybe you should get out, go for a walk or something? You don’t have very many clothes, so maybe you could go to the mall. Shop around a bit, get something to eat. Treat yourself.
It’s a good idea, you decide, and you need the fresh air.

When you walk into the mall, you instantly wish you’d stayed home.
It’s busy, and uncomfortably so. Elderly folks meeting up, parents pushing strollers with small children, a couple of highschool kids ditching class.
Surely no one would pay you any mind if you just turned around and walked right back out?
No, you think, taking a deep breath, I can do this. It’s just people.
You try to walk normally, and look like you’re not wincing at every step you take further into the crowd. It’s just people.
...People I can’t protect.
The thought pops into your mind faster than you can catch it, and your gait stutters. You push it away and keep walking, but it’s as if the psychological floodgates have been opened.
A villain could attack right now, and I wouldn’t do anything.
Your chest tightens.
I’m a useless excuse for a hero.
Your hands start shaking.
I would just stand there and watch them die. Just like-
You squeeze your eyes shut, and beeline to the nearest bench, sitting down to try and take a few calming breaths.
It starts to work, and you can feel your body relaxing slightly, until an elderly woman decides to take up the seat next to you. Your skin buzzes with electricity, hyper-aware of her presence beside you. When you glance over at her, you find that she’s smiling kindly at you.
“Are you alright, dear?” she asks, reaching out to rest a dainty hand on your knee.
You resist the guttural urge to snap away from her. She’s just checking on you, you tell yourself, don’t be rude.
“I’m- yes. I’m okay,” you say with a shaky voice, “Thank you.” You can tell she doesn’t quite believe it, and you don’t blame her. You probably look a mess, a trembling, blanched, wide-eyed mess.
You track her movement as she reaches into the purse tucked under her arm, expecting something, anything, any kind of threat to appear, but she only pulls out a small red lollipop. She offers it to you with a wrinkled hand, gently pressing it into your palm.
“A distraction, perhaps?” she suggests, “Sweets always make me feel better.”
You thank her quietly and unwrap the treat, sticking it in your cheek. You try to focus on the overwhelming flavour, the sickly sweet synthetic cherry, the way it burns against your tongue.
Another woman calls out to the lady beside you, who squeezes your knee softly. “I hope you feel better soon, dear,” she says, standing. “Have a lovely afternoon.”
You smile and nod at her, and the moment she’s out of sight you spit the candy out and bolt towards the exit.

You finally stop running about a block away from the mall, heart beating erratically and chest so tight you can barely breathe. You find a nearby empty bench and fall onto it, and let your head hang low. Your eyes sting with unshed tears, and your vision is blurry, and it doesn’t help the threat of oncoming nausea.
Thankfully now that you’re out in the open, you begin to calm down again. You wipe at your eyes to rid yourself of your tears, and try to focus on the feeling of the bench pressing into your legs. Warm from the sun against your skin, sturdy and unwavering metal slats holding you steady, slight tremor when someone sits down next to you…
Not again, you think, shrinking away from the person.
“Rough day?” they ask. You eye them cautiously, taking note of every detail.
You can’t tell if they’re a boy or a girl, not that it really matters to you. They’re young, maybe sixteen, clad in dark baggy clothes. Their posture is casual, comfortable, hands shoved in pockets, and they don’t look old enough to have graduated school. You wonder if they’re skipping class, but you don’t really care.
“Yeah,” you mumble, “Something like that.”
The kid turns towards you, slinging an arm over the back of the bench.
“That’s too bad,” they say, genuinity unsettling you, “Nice lady like you shouldn’t be lookin’ so sad.”
Your stomach roils with anxiety, and you’re sure your blood pressure has skyrocketed again. “I’m sorry,” you say quickly, standing, “I’m not really in the mood to talk. I’m...I’m gonna go-”
A slender hand shoots out and grabs your wrist, holding you in place.
“Wait, please! I’ve been looking for you for days-”
Pain shoots up your arm, and you glare down at the teen, fury overtaking your mind. “Let go of me before I rip your fucking arm off.”
“Please, let me explain-”
You rip your arm out of their grip, and take a few weak steps backwards. “If you’ve been looking for me, then you know who I am, and you know what I’ve done. Don’t think I’ll hesitate to break you into pieces if you come near me again.”
The kid stares at you with wide honey-brown eyes, an inkling of fear flashing behind them.
Good.
You waste no time turning around to run back home, leaving your assailant behind.

Ten o’clock finds Shouta and Hizashi walking through the front door, the latter talking animatedly about something you couldn’t quite hear.
You stir the ladle around the pot a few times, judging the thickness of the stew you’re preparing, while you listen to them chatter back and forth. A sad smile graces your features, and you wonder if this is the way they usually come home; tired, but always happy to have each other.
“Something smells really good in here!”
You crane your head to the doorway right as Hizashi traipses in. He zeroes in on you in an instant, coming over to wrap you in a tight hug. It surprises you, even though it shouldn’t. In years past, he was always the most open with physical affection, often greeting you and Shouta with touches and hugs and kisses on the cheek.
“You guys are right on time,” you say, reaching across the stove to flip the burner off, “Dinner’s ready.”
Hizashi makes haste in preparing a bowl for himself, dashing out to the dining room to find a seat. You shake your head and fix some stew for yourself and Shouta, following in suit shortly after. The two of them are already set up around the table, making smalltalk with each other while they wait for you.
Shouta thanks you when you set his bowl down in front of him, but waits until you sit to start eating.
“So how were your days?” you ask, stirring your meal absently, “Did anything interesting happen?”
Hizashi shrugs, and doesn’t even bother to swallow before answering. “Not really. Between teaching and hosting a radio show, it actually gets pretty repetitive.”
You have a hard time believing that. Before you’d left, his stories about his students and his shows were endless and hilarious, and he’d talk about them for hours on end if you let him.
“What about patrol?”
“Eh, same same. Stopped a couple small timers, you know, convenience store robbery, purse theft, that kind of thing. Nothing big.”
You nod. “I’d consider that a win. Smaller villains means smaller paperwork…”
The three of you break into an uneasy silence, tension so thick you could cut it with a knife. You eat your meal slowly, and avoid looking at either of them. Something was on their minds, and you had a feeling you knew what it was, but if you didn’t look at either of them then maybe they wouldn’t ask you…
Finally, Shouta sighs. “This is idiotic.”
“Sho,” Hizashi hisses, but doesn’t get much else out.
“There was something we needed to talk to you about, but you seem like you’ve had some kind of day. It might be easier to talk about it later.”
You think back to your eventful afternoon filled with panic attacks, and mask the worry with a smile. “It wasn’t too bad,” you assure them, “Besides, you’ve got me curious, now. Spit it out!”
Shouta sets his spoon down. “I was wondering if you’d consider being a guest speaker for the first year hero classes at Yuuei. They need to learn about all the possibilities of hero work, including undercover missions.”
“And I figured that since you’re here now,” Hizashi interrupts, “you’d be a perfect candidate!”
You’re surprised, to say the least, and it’s obvious.
“Take some time to think about it. You’ve got a couple weeks, still, so you don’t need to decide right away.”
You let out a breath you hadn’t realized you were holding. You’re grateful for the buffering period, because as much as you’d love to say yes to them, you’re not sure if you could handle speaking in front of a bunch of teens. Especially if your afternoon was any indication of your coping abilities.
What would you even talk about? Would you have to prepare a presentation? A speech? Or would they simply ask you questions? And god, how would you answer said questions? How could you tell a bunch of young hopefuls that undercover missions are almost always riddled with violence and PTSD?
You take another bite of stew. “I’ll...consider it.”
----
The rest of the dinner is more comfortable, filled with idle conversation and a couple of old jokes. It’s nothing compared to how the three of you used to be, and a little piece of you wonders if you’ve done something to upset the balance the two of them had created together.
Of course I have, you think, I showed up after disappearing for years and now I’m taking up their couch.
Still, there seems to be something more, some kind of tension beyond the stresses of recent events. Maybe it just felt different because you were different, more closed off to the world, to people, but it’s not like you could help it.
You couldn’t bear to lose either of them, if they were to find out what really happened on your mission. The things you saw, the things you did.
You could foot a little bit of awkwardness if it meant you would get to keep them in your life.
The three of you bid goodnight after you eat, each of you tired after a long day. You know for a fact that you won’t be able to sleep yet, not without nightmares, but you dim the lights anyways to keep your friends from questioning you.
You get comfortable on the couch and pull Shouta’s laptop over, flipping the screen open to continue your search about counseling services. You’ve gone through every suggestion on his list, save for one.
And so far, as you scroll through their website, it seems to be okay. The staff members and doctors seem to be knowledgeable, and the numerous patient reviews praise them for their compassion, kindness, reasonable prices, and short wait list.
You scroll around a little more, picking out whatever contact information is available. Most of it is done through email, it seems, which you’re fine with.
You open a new email document and start typing, asking what kind of information you need to provide and how the process works, and what steps you need to take in order to get a consultation appointment.
You don’t expect an answer until tomorrow, so you’re pleasantly surprised when a reply pops into your inbox not five minutes later.
‘Hello, Miss Y/N,’ it reads, ‘Thank you for contacting us. I’m Nurse Yumi, a member of the practising night staff. It’s a big step to seek help when you’re struggling, so we appreciate you reaching out to us. If you’d like, we can set up a consultation appointment for tomorrow afternoon. I’ve attached the preliminary forms to fill out before your visit, if you could please have them completed before then. If this is agreeable for you, let me know and I'll give you the time and date.
Well wishes,
Nurse Practitioner Yumi.’
You quickly type up another email, thanking them for their quick notification as well as confirming your availability.
You set a reminder in your phone before you lay down so you don’t forget about it, and shut down the laptop, placing it back on the coffee table. You’re not quite ready to sleep yet, but you know if you stay up any later then it’ll be harder to wake up on time.
Begrudgingly, you curl up on your side and try to think about nothing as you doze off.

Hawks woke up to someone tapping him. Only opening one eye, he focused on the mini blob floating in front of him. "Mr. Hawks...?" Oh shit. Hawks sprang up. Immediately he winced, noticing Tokoyami flinching back at the movement.
"What's up, kiddo? Why're you up?" Hawks yawned. Tokoyami pointed at the door. "There's a lady yelling outside." Tokoyami moved to take Hawks's hand, but hesitated. Hawks noticed and took Tokoyami's hand. "Can you show me?" A nod. Hawks smiled. "Great, let's go."
At the front door of the agency stood Endeavor and Miruko, much to Hawks's confusion. Miruko noticed the pair and waved. Endeavor just crossed his arms.
Hawks let them in. "What are you two doing here?" Miruko squatted down to Tokoyami. "Well, you and Endeavor have a double patrol today, so I'm taking this kid out to eat." She said, reaching out to pat Tokoyami's head. Hawks swatted her hand away, much to Tokoyami's relief.
"I forgot about that..." Hawks mumbled, and Endeavor sent him a look. "You're the one to scheduled this. How did you forget?" He scoffed, looking down at the kid.
Tokoyami stared up at him, and shuffled behind Hawks. Endeavor didnt seem too surprised. "What's wrong kid?" Miruko tilted her head to the side. Tokoyami didnt look away from Endeavor. He whispered something into Hawks's pant leg.
"What was that?" Hawks bent to his level. Tokoyami looked afraid. "He's big. Like dad." Oh. Hawks glanced at Endeavor. "Endeavor here is our number one hero. He won't hurt you kiddo." Tokoyami nodded, but he still didnt look sure.
Hawks moved away and let Tokoyami and Miruko go into the kitchen. Endeavor looked down at him. "So your intern is now what, three years old? Where's his quirk?" Hawks shrugged. "Dark Shadow hasn't made a peep since the attack. The doctors said he's likely a late bloomer, though they arent sure."
Endeavor glanced up at the kitchen. "The amount of bandages on him is concerning, to say the least." Hawks nodded. "Yeah, we're not sure how many if those are a result of the quirk, but because of his young age, we've learnt more and more about him. I'm not sure if he would have ever told me this at all." Hawks stared at the ground, thinking.
Endeavor sighed. "That is something for later. I'm here to hunt down the thug responsible, at your 'request'. Now, where do we—"
There was a loud crash and a cuss from the kitchen. Hawks booked it, running in. "The fuck–" there was a small puddle of blood, and Tokoyami was clutching his hand. Miruko was hovering over the sink. "What happened?" Endeavor demanded, turning the sink on. Miruko shook her head. "The kid wanted apple slices and he said he could cut it up himself." She started. "So you let him?!" Hawks snapped, taking the knife away.
"Well sorry, mister professional dad, I'm not good with fucking kids!" She yelled. Hawks snapped back, and they started yelling. Endeavor went to break them up. "Enough! You're both being irrational and childish." He yelled at the two of them. "Speaking of..." the three looked around, to find Tokoyami had gone. "Fuck! Kid where'd you go?" Miruko left to search.
Hawks panicked, realising the yelling must have set him off. He went towards the first supply closet. Nothing. He searched through each room till he got to the one Tokoyami had stayed in. "...Kid? You in here?" There was quite sobbing from the other side of the door.
Not good.
"Kiddo? You wanna come out?" Tokoyami said nothing. Hawks asked again. Slowly, the door opened slightly, though not enough for Hawks to get in. "Sorry about the yelling. Your hand okay?" Hawks bent down and reached out. Tokoyami flinched but let Hawks take the bloody hand.
Hawks sighed in relief. It was a small cut, easy to fix. Tokoyami looked at him, fear in his eyes. "Am I in trouble?" Hawks gaped at the kid. "Why would you be in trouble?" Tokoyami looked at Hawks. "You and the lady were yelling. People yell when their angry." Hawks stared to say something. "Kiddo, were just..." he trailed off, not knowing what to say. "I wasnt mad at you, okay?" Tokoyami hesitated, but nodded.
Hawks smiled. "Great, let's get you back to UA. No offense to Miruko, but I dont trust her with butter." Tokoyami said nothing, and shuffled away when Hawks reached for his hand. Shit, he messed up. Hawks felt guilt build up in him.
Hawks left him at UA, and this time there was another kid there. "Tokoyami, this is Eri. She'll be here while Mirio is out." Tokoyami waved from behind Hawks's leg.
Eri and Tokoyami were both quiet kids, Aziawa realised quickly. They both talked quietly as they coloured. Eventually, something came up.
"Do you have scars too?" Aziawa paused at Eri's question. Tokoyami was quiet for a second. "...You mean on my arms? I do." Eri asked if she could see.
Aziawa peeked into the room to see Tokoyami taking the bandages off with Eri's help. Despite the fact that Aziawa had seen them already, he still gagged at the amount.
Eri was silent as she looked at them. Eventually, she whispered. "Did someone hurt you too?" Tokoyami shrugged hesitantly. "Dad said I wasn't allowed to tell anyone or he'd do it more." Aziawa could've killed someone then and there.
Eri huffed. "Well, Mr. Aziawa says there's alway gonna be bad people. That's kinda scary, but we're safe, right?" Aziawa waited patiently for Tokoyami's response. "...Yeah? I don't know. My dads friends are mean too, and they might look for me." Aziawa stopped. Friends? That asshole had friends?
"Did they hurt you too?" Tokoyami nodded. "They used to do gross stuff that they did in the movies." Aziawa was confused. What gross stuff? Eri shook her head. "You dont have to worry though. Mr. Aziawa, Deku and Le Million keep me safe. They can protect you too!" She turned back to her colouring.
Tokoyami looked out the window. "Yeah... maybe..." he mumbled, and coloured in the sky on his page.
Aziawa stared at the two kids. He realised how similar the two are. He also realised how much that upset him.
Not me making next chapter fluffy knowing damn well I'm about to destroy myself with angst in the next few chapters.

Rose and Vanilla
Chapter One
Hello Lovelies! this is actually my first fic ever, so please be kind yet I will appreciate any constructive criticism!
Rating is M
Short Summary : Eva’s life was in shambles, her sister sends her to la push to stay with their brother Sam. Will the possibility of love help her repair her life?
Rated mature for language and possible fluffy lemons/smut in the future. Note: this is all post Breaking Dawn & AU just so there isn’t any confusion about the time line. Oh and Embry has long hair and the whole having to cut their hair is lame because look at this bby with long hair ♥️

Chapter 1
Embry’s POV
Hallelujah
I enjoyed running at night; The way I led my body through the darkness of the forest with nothing but my senses.
I relished in the sound of the leaves under the pressure of my legs and how my muscles would contract each time my paws hit the damp earth.
I loved my wolf form, the only nuisance was the shared pack mind. Having to hear all the guys that have imprinted constantly drone on about their imprintees irritates me.
I've gone to almost every measure to try to imprint; that's why I spend most of my time in my wolf form. I've given up.
While on my nightly patrol I let aimless thoughts float through my head of what she could possibly be like.
"Embry, she will come to you just be patient" Jared interrupted.
I groaned at the thought of when that would happen, which seemed like never.
"I want to know what she will be like, and it's the only way I can block out your thoughts about Kim.” Answering in irritation.
For the next hour we ran in silence until we neared Sams’ house, that’s when I caught on to a new scent. Rose and Vanilla. It rolled down from the clearing and into the forest, and dear god was it intoxicating.
I followed the scent feeling almost drunk by its deliciousness until I realized just how close I had gotten to the house. Jared spoke to me the second he saw where I was.
“Sam's little sister got here today, she doesn't know about us and Sam intends to keep it that way, keep your distance.”
I ignored Jared and kept following her scent to the clearing that held the cottage styled home.
And there she was, like a hallelujah on the lips of a forgiven sinner and the center of a world that was unchanged yet altogether new. She stood in the window unaware of my presence and for the briefest of moments the moon escaped the haze of night; iridescent silver light shone on her ethereal face and in that instant I felt it.
The world fell away and the only thing that held me in place was her, I didn't even know her name and yet she held me there with a force that one could not even begin to explain.
I sat there for an indescribable amount of time almost not noticing Jared phase from his wolf form, oh so kindly giving me a moment to assimilate what just occurred. I watched her move around her room as she unpacked, bilssfully unaware of the impact she made on my world.
When she finished setting up her room she returned to the window with a steaming mug in hand and scanned the tree line. That's when her eyes met mine.
“Fuck, Sam is going to kill me’’
My heart stopped and hers accelerated, the look of recognition heavy in her eyes. Curiosity furrowed her brows as she set her mug down with deliberate determination, opened her window, swiftly climbed out, and cautiously made her way towards the edge of the clearing.
Before she could get too close I ran, in that instant a new sensation befell upon me; a dull deep pitted pain. God this girl was obscenely brave, the sheer fact that she did not fear me filled my wolf with a heady mix of pride and worry.
As I ran, Jared phased again so we could finish our patrol; he saw and felt everything that had transpired, the realization dawned on the both of us that I was royally fucked.
“What are you going to do?! Not only is that Sam's LITTLE SISTER, but she saw you and tried to approach you IN FUCKING WOLF FORM!’’
“Can you just SHUT UP Jared!”
I snapped and bared my teeth at him as a growl escaped my snout, this was going to be a lot more complicated than I had anticipated.
A week had passed and I hadn't seen her since. I had started going on patrol with only Jared trying my best to keep him from revealing what had happened that night. And also avoiding the rest of the pack; especially Sam. Though my efforts wouldn’t stop the inevitable, tonight there was going to be a bonfire and without a doubt I knew she was going to be there.
It was late afternoon, I had just woken up having been up all night on patrol. I layed in bed thinking about her, that glorious night and about how not being around her caused me a great amount of pain. A loud voice boomed through my small home, it was Sam. Shit. I forgot to lock my front door last night.
“Embry, get up we need to talk”
Fuck Fuck Fuck. I quickly pulled on a pair of shorts and made my way to my living room. Sam made himself at home sitting on the edge of my small couch, his elbows on his knees with his fingers laced together looking at them in a concerned manner. I sat in the chair across from him.
“Hey Sam...whats up?”
“Dont act stupid, I know Embry’’
“You know what?’’
“Do I really have to spell it out for you? I know you imprinted on my sister Eva and I know she tried to approach you… While you were in wolf form.”
My palms were sweaty and my body felt hotter than usual, I was going to kill Jared.
“I…”
The look on my face must have been of shock and fear because Sams face softened when he finally looked up.
“Relax embry, I'm not going to kill you; its ok. Just don't tell her about us yet and take it slow, she took our parents death a lot harder than Kira and I...and I just don't want to overwhelm her.”
“why can’t I tell her? I do not want to overwhelm her but her being my imprintee means she should understand right. I thought that's how this worked?”
In the moment it took me to blink the alpha of our pack made an appearance.
“Just don't tell her yet Embry, that's an order do you understand me.”
My wolf cowered at the sound of our alpha and all I could do was nod as Sam made his way over to my front door. And just like that he was Sam again.
“Please I beg you don’t be late to the bonfire tonight, she's been dying to meet the guy who painted the mural in her room. You could have met her sooner but you just HAD to disappear.”
My face was aflame, giddy embarrassment spread its fire from my cheeks up to the tips of my ears. Sam left with a smirk on his face, leaving me dumbstruck in my own living room for what seemed like an eternity; my wolf repeating only one name. Eva.
Eva. Eva. Eva.
While in the shower my wolf paced while repeating her name. Eva. I stood under the spray of water emanating from the shower head, letting the heat of the water soothe my sore muscles. Feral Images of Eva flooded my senses, the sight of her in the many ways I wanted her made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. I fought my wolf for as long as I could but the thought of her here with me broke down my defenses and caused a shiver to run down my spine despite the hot water. Before I knew it my hand found its way to the base of my erection, I braced myself against the wall in front of me with my free hand. I gently squeezed with a firmness that caused the slightest moan to escape my lips, an image of her hand replaced the presence of my own and I shuddered at the sensation. Her movements were both smooth and long yet they consumed me with a ferocity that left me panting, she gripped me tighter and that was my undoing.
I came with a force that I didn't expect, I yet again shuddered as her name escaped my lips. I finally let go and fully braced myself against the wall with both hands, I dropped my head low into the spray and let the water wash away the shame from my earlier actions. With a deep breath I mentally prepared myself to meet her, from the moment I saw her she consumed me and I knew already that I was irrevocably in love.
“Well well well, look who decided to join the rest of society!” Jared teased as I made my way onto first beach. I glared at him flipping him the bird, still pissed at the fact that he told Sam.
I nodded hello towards Sam and Paul who were collecting wood for the fire and went and hugged the girls who were unpacking hoards of food; They all smiled at me in such a peculiar way that made me wonder if they too knew my not so little secret.
As the evening went on an uneasy feeling settled in my stomach, I mostly kept to myself as to not reveal the anxiety that wracked my body. I walked over to the edge of the beach, pulled off my shoes, and put my bare feet in the cool water. I let the cool waves chill the nervous thoughts that overtook my brain.
As I stood there taking in deep breaths a familiar scent engulfed my senses. I took another deep breath, letting the scent of Rose and Vanilla consume me.
My heart accelerated and I tried my best to compose myself as I turned towards the inebriating scent. There she stood, her face eminanting warm light as she smiled at Seth while he spoke to her. My heart dropped to the pit of my stomach and my wolf growled in jealousy. Mine. I looked over at Jared and Kim for reassurance; Jared as subtle as ever gave me two giant thumbs up coaxing a giggle from Kim which she tried to stifle.
I walked towards Eva with leisure and took in how unbelievably beautiful she was. The haze of twilight covered her tanned olive skin in an almost incandescent glow; creamy waves of milk chocolate tresses crashed exquisitely around her angelic face. Soft languid pools of caramel locked onto me so fiercely that it sent a chill up my spine, and in that moment I was thankful for the cool weather.
When I finally reached where she and Seth were standing, I shot Seth a glare that made his eyes go wide and as if to follow my unspoken command went to go get food.
“Hello, I’m Embry” I croaked out, mentally berating myself for being anything less than cool.
As I cleared my throat I extended my hand in greeting; the soft touch of her cool skin sent a wave of electricity through my body. Her eyes widened at the sensation confirming that she too had felt it, still holding on to my hand her plump lips spread into that same exquisite smile she gave Seth.
With each thump of my heart my wolf paced in unison. Mine. Mine. Mine.
“Hi, I'm Eva. It's nice to finally meet you.”
Her voice was just as heavenly as the rest of her.
When she let go of my hand the familiar sting of emptiness became prominent and a light sadness spread through my chest.
“So” she teased, lightly biting her lower lip “You’re the one who painted that mural in my room.”
I rocked back on my heels and looked down at my feet as a fire spread to my cheeks.
“Ah, haha yeah I… I am.”
I looked back up and she was staring at me, a playful grin on her sweet lips with a curiosity in her eyes that made the fire on my cheeks spread to my ears. That grin quickly turned into a smile that made me forget who I was, the little giggle that followed awakened an urge that I tried to stifle earlier today. I had to control myself, though my wolf knew that eventually he would make her his.
Mine.
“I love it, it’s absolutely beautiful. I was starting to wonder when I was going to meet you, Emily and Sam speak very highly of you”
Her sweet confession filled my wolf and I with pride.
Eva turned and slowly made her way towards the edge of the beach, she slightly turned her head to signal me to come and I obediently followed. She stopped right where the water and sand collided, and sat down on a dried log that the waves washed ashore many years ago.
Eva proceeded to look up at me with a lightness in her eyes that implored me to sit with her, that all consuming gaze tugged at me until I was planted right next to her. As I turned to face her my knee slightly brushed hers which caused a familiar current to shoot through us like lighting; We both jumped at the exhilarating sensation. After a moment of being shell shocked I finally spoke up, my voice cutting through the energy buzzing between us.
“So how do you like La Push so far?”
I inquired with obvious interest.
“it's so different compared to Houston, kind of a shock to the system to be honest. I like it though, the change is more than welcomed.”
I nodded in response, I studied her gaze; the same light of curiosity I saw only a week ago beamed through her eyes as she spoke.
“I'm sorry I feel like I’ve seen you somewhere, I know we just met but you look so familiar.”
Realization dawned on me. The clearing, she saw me in wolf form at the entrance of the clearing.
“Umm...nnno, I..I guess I just have one of those faces. Heh.’’
Disappointment fell into a shadow underneath her eyelashes, the look of almost sadness squeezed at my heart. Knowing that her intuition was spot on killed me even more. We spoke for quite some time, I learned that she was infatuated with books, that her favorite beverage was Rose tea with a hint of Vanilla, and that cinnamon rolls were the perfect cure for any and all ailments. She is perfection personified. Quite some time had passed when we noticed that everyone had started to pack up their things to leave, I stood up and gave her my hand to help pull her to her feet. As she placed her hand in mine, for the third time that day electricity sparked through us; I wasn't ready to let her go.
“May I walk you home?”
She beamed at me and nodded yes in response, I led her to a dimly lit path that I knew would slowly take us to Sam's house. We walked in silence enjoying the electric current that would burst between our hands as they brushed up against each other. The attraction between was inexcusably palpable, we were like two magnets on the verge of collision.
The small cottage home came into view and my heart ached at the fact that I would have to leave her side. We made our way up the path that led to the back porch, I turned to face her and noticed a sadness taking hold of her which only made my heart ache even more. She wasn't ready to go and I wasn’t ready to let her.
A cool breeze pushed through us causing her to shiver which gave me an excuse to inch closer to warm up the small space around us. A strand of hair billowed towards the center of her face and before I could stop myself I found my forefinger tracing the bridge of her petite nose.
I bore my soul to her with just one look, I told her the story of my people and the love I held for her as I slowly pushed the stray strand across her cheek and placed it behind her ear; With my thumb I traced the edge of her jaw until I reached the tip of her chin. I looked down and found her bottom lip which she ever so lightly bit and with a slight tug I set it free.
My eyes worked their way back up her face, committing to memory each delicate feature; finally reaching the destination that were her eyes. They bore into me intensely, melted and spilling anguished longing into every pore of my being.
I placed my free hand on the small of her back and closed the little space that was left between us. I slid the hand that rested on her chin to the back of her neck and slowly guided her lips to mine. When at last we collided every doubt I had about today melted away; She wanted me just as I wanted her.
Her lips were soft, supple and full of desire, I pulled her lush lip in between my teeth causing a soft moan to escape her. In that moment my wolf took claim, her want for me drove him mad; her body, soft and sweet, gave no resistance as I pushed her up against the wall. Our tongues danced to an unheard melody while her hands tugged at my hair. In that instant she woke a beast that only she could control, a beast that wouldn't be able to stop if given permission. I wanted more than what I could take and with that realization I reluctantly pulled away. Our chests heaved in unison taking in the air that we had deprived ourselves, bodies still intertwined not wanting to break contact; the heat almost too unbearable to live without.
“I'm sorry, I didn’t mean to…”
My voice trailed off, I couldn’t find the words in between my breaths.
“You’re sorry you kissed me?’’
Her voice was heavy and sad, I broke our contact and placed my hands on either side of her head. I told her again with just one look what she meant to me.
“I will never be sorry for kissing you, I'm just sorry if it was too much”
“No, never.”
She placed her small hand on my cheek, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. She was intoxicating and if I didn't leave now I never would. I placed my hand over hers and pulled it to my lips, the scent of her favorite tea heavy on her fingers. I opened my eyes to a sad smile, she knew it was time for me to leave.
“Will I see you tomorrow?”
“If that's what you want then yes; I will be wherever, whenever you want me there…”
She gave a slight nod to her head, confirming that she indeed did want to see me again. With that I pulled her into me and placed a soft kiss on the top of her head.
“Good night my Eva.”

Hello Catradora trash can's today I finally give you what I've been promising for MONTHS - a fanfic rec list. Because, if you didn't already know, I read A LOT of Catradora fanfic, probably too much and although I'm definitely not the best judge of...anything, I really wanted to make this post, so here it is, weeks late.

I’ve written my full opinions n shit on like the first 10 multi chapters and one shots because there’s a lot lol, and some I remember better than others (tbf I've re read all of them at this point), but yeahhh. For the others, I’ll describe it in less detail and a bit more jokily lol.

This fic is so amazing!! It goes so deep into their psychology and past and damn is it hilarious at time. Also, I love the premise of it - Catra is a Uber driver and Adora ends up as her passenger. It's a fairly slowburn as it goes deep into the two girls' lives and really gives time for the relationship to develop naturally and that is honestly really appreciated because it makes the good moments between the two even better and more rewarding if I'm honest. A lot of angst though. All the other characters we know and love are also written amazingly in it too, and are made equally important. All in all, I love this fic and everything about it!
As of writing it has fairly infrequent updates, but each chapter is 10-20k+ words and has 9/12 chapters so...there’s a lot.

The story and world building is just - WOAH. This one is quite the slowburn but boy is it worth it. It's set a couple months to a year after season one, where Catra finally captures Adora but the tables turn very quickly when capturing her nearly results in her death, which Catra (unsurprisingly) didn’t want. The story has some BIG plot twists and is definitely one of the best canon universe Catradora fics I’ve ever read and the ending was very satisfying, but also open ended, BECAUSE there’s a part 2 coming and I couldn’t be more excited!
(Also, there is one chapter with nsfw content in it, but it has a sfw version)
3. Skinny Love by Maychup (o) 89,000+ words

Another amazing fic that takes place in the canon universe that has such great world building, and is very plot heavy. It takes place days after the S1 finale and goes from there basically. The premise of it is similar to many fics and one shots you’ve probably read - sleeping with the enemy. From the first chapter it seemed like it could have easily been a five chapter easy redemption fic but nooooooo, it goes a lot LOT deeper. I feel like this fic did such a great job on character development, Catra’s specifically, she grows so much throughout the fic. She is also such a mother to all her Horde pals in this and I love that haha.
At the time of writing, it’s still ongoing, and boy am I excited to see where it goes. It’s also super angsty and has a fair-ish amount of smut so be warned!
4. The Heiress and The thief by Fuhadeza (f) 58,000+ words

As it says in the fic summary, it is literally the She-Ra regency AU I never knew I wanted likeeee, it’s so good! Premise - Adora is taken by Lady Brightmoon, leaving her boarding school, and her best friend behind, Catra, and everything is fine until her old friend face resurfaces. This one had me screaming at times (most of them did, but this especially). It was a really enjoyable read and I honestly loved the way the author dealt with love and the way Adora dealt with her feelings and just ahhh- read it.
5. Faded with feelings by yesimgay (f) 24,000+ words
[Roomates AU][T]
This fic. I read this a WHILEEE ago but to this day this is one of my favourite fan-fics ever like it’s hilarious, and fluffy and unproblematic and sometimes you need that tbh. Everything you need to know is established in the first chapter but the way it is done feels so natural, as if it’s just Adora‘s or Catra’s thoughts and I love it. Also the premise is GREAT - Catra has ADHD and smokes weed to help with it, and Adora accidentally takes an edible, which is when shenanigans start to ensue.
6. Dream of Me by DBsean (f) 18,000+ words
[Canon Universe][T]
Although it is on the shorter side with only five chapters, this was another fic that was so so good in quality and premise. For whatever reason, Catra and Adora start sharing dreams, enabling them to share moments together that they (unfortunately) can't have in real life, due to them being on opposite sides of the war, and in turn - enemies. The angst in this fic literally KILLED ME, and the characters dialogue is so good as well! I also recommend you check out some of the authors other fics, they're all great!
7. we've been making shades of purple out of red and blue by darklady21(o) 19,000+ words
[Roomates AU][M]
Another Roomates AU, bUT instead of being best friends, the two barely know each other, or interact at all...GREAT RIGHT?!? Honestly though, I think the author did a great job in making it not seem too rushed, especially in the setup and establishing how although they know each other, they DONT know each other, so the first couple chapters are basically that stage where they are learning more about each other and leaving stupid post it notes around the house, and it just feels so natural and great! Updates aren’t super regular, but there’s already nine chapters (as of writing) so definitely check it out, as well as their other works too!
8. Razorback by Starr_Reborn(o) 22,000+ words
[Canon Divergence AU][M]
Apparently, the author wrote this with the intent of it being fluffy. From the title you can tell that is NOT the case. At all. This one HURTS. This is very very angsty, and also has some themes of rape in it, so if that kinda thing triggers you I might wanna skip out on this one. It is a really good fic though and stands out from a lot of the others because of the way it is written. Chapters aren’t usually longer that 1000 words and the writing style is quite disjointed at times, and it a lot of the time a stream of consciousness. At times it can even be a little confusing or hard to follow, but I find it makes it even more interesting, and also means it will probably be a fic I come back to once completed. It is genuinely so unpredictable, I have no clue where it’s going, but I really love it for that!
9. Sunflower by TechnoSkittles (f) 6000+ words

Oh, BOY. Oh boyyy. This fic - it's 8 chapters and only 6000 words yet the story is just- Ahhh READ IT. It's so good! And like the author in general is so amazing at writing like check out all their works (especially their latest one shot omg I loved it). Anyway, read this, it's not too long, it's cute and also genuinely surprising, the ending was not something I saw coming AT ALL, so YEAH!

It is a lil angsty at times, but not to worry - but it does pay off, I assure you.

It's about Adora coming to terms with her sexuality throughout high school in a pretty unsupportive environment, added onto the fact she has a crush on her best friend. It's paced so well, nothing feels rushed and although it's only 9000 words, it manages to flesh out characters that aren't even in the show, and it obviously does a great job with the topic at hand - sexuality and homophobia. Like it honestly touched my heart, reading it I genuinely wanted to cry. I loved everything about it, from the moment it started to the last line. It's just written in a way that is probably relatable to so many people who are or have struggled with coming to terms with themselves, and shows how for some it's really not an easy thing. It's also written beautifully, and I PROMISE you won't regret reading this! Definitely check out some more of their works too, they're all great reads!

A belle valentine's day fan fic which I just,, ahhhhh this is some of the best 16k words I've ever read, it's so nice and fluffy! Premise - Catra has to take the bus to school, and ends up sitting next to this cute girl on the bus, Adora, and listening to TayTay (Swift), sharing earphones with this complete stranger. Obviously, Catra develops a crush, but she is sure Adora is straight. It's written so well, and is such an enjoyable read, with so many great moments and dialogue. Music is a very prevalent theme (which you can tell from the name tbh) in it, and the amount of song references in it also make it feel so fleshed out in a way, like their both just teenagers with somewhat questionable music taste. Just all the exchanges they have are great, especially the ones over text and social media, there were so many funny moments too. DEFO, recommend if you wanna read something nice and lighthearted!

Set post war, Catra sneaks away from her post to visit an overworked and stressed Adora in Bright Moon and cuteness ensues. I honestly just love everything about this fic, we need more fluffy and funny fics like this! The dynamic the two have in this is perfect and the dialogue and general writing style of it is great! And Adora’s internal dialogue in this honest to god had me dead. Needless to say this is one of my fav Canon Universe one shots.

Even though they obviously have these new little people in their life though, their problems don’t just go away, they still have their own issues, and have to deal with them while looking after these kids. In general they handle mental health so well, and Shadow Weavers lasting effect on Catra SHOWS and it shows hard. Honestly, it made me want to cry at some parts and the ending was EVERYTHING, so reAd IT.

A really fun fic to read, with a very original premise: after the Horde defeats the kingdom Bright Moon, Hordak is crowned, Queen Angella was killed, and Princess Glimmer is missing, which leaves Lady Adora forced into an arranged marriage with Lord Catra, to keep her people happy. Obviously, being an arranged marriage, with her enemy, she ain’t too happy about it, nor is Catra. But they have to put up with it, and each other. Honestly, like the development of their relationships is sooo good, and there is the perfect balance e of angst and fluff (if you can call it that?) so don’t worry it won’t kill you! Like ahh, the emotions in this - so well described with so little words. And the ending is great, in general it’s great!

I just love it so much because I feel like this is genuinely something Adora would do, and also something I’d probably do in her situation - Catra opening up is a rare occurrence! Also, as I said, their are some really funny, laugh out loud moments, which out of context are so weird, yet somehow manage to make a lot of sense. Anyway, if you just had a bad day, I think this fic would definitely lift your spirits.

But yeah, it’s so pure and just - Catra needs a hug, Adora needs a hug, they need to hug EACH other tbh! It had a very nice and hopeful message, and also kinda surprised me with the end.

The Prophecy (Yoonmin Demon!AU)

Summary: Long ago, the Divines and Fallens received a prophecy that promises their demise in the hands of a mortal that says:
Beautiful as the creature may be, fire doesn’t burn, ice doesn’t freeze, water doesn’t drown and lightning doesn’t destroy.
Now, the demon prince (Min Yoongi) meets a pink-haired waiter (Park Jimin) who looks like heaven and smells like sin. As their relationship blossom, the Divines and Fallens are beginning to wonder about the prophecy.

Jin was pacing across the living room of Yoo Jung’s apartment as his fingers twirl around the pear-shaped ruby necklace that sits elegantly in between his collarbones. He had originally come to the apartment at his lover’s call to receive the present the prince had bought specially for him. Jin thought it was going to be yet another beautiful day spent with his lover in his arms, contented with just holding Namjoon close when Jeongguk called. And just like that, his ephemeral happiness came to an end.
And now, Jin and Namjoon are waiting for Yoongi to return. ‘Should I go?’ Jin’s jaw is tensed and his hazel eyes have taken more of its godly golden hues. Jin’s Divine characteristics will only show whenever he possesses strong emotions. His eyes have completely turned golden as he fiddles with the pendant. He is insanely worried for his best friend for Yoongi is known to make impulsive decisions that may and may not cost everyone their asses. ‘Of course, I should. It’s only right, right?’ He wonders, fingers grabbing the ruby a tad bit too tightly.
“Yoongi isn’t stupid, you know.” Namjoon mumbles staring at the beautiful male before him, worry etches on his lover’s delicate features. The demon takes the cigarette that was sitting in between his plump lips with his thumb and forefinger and blows the smoke before he looks away. He is equally as worried as his lover. But instead of making a run towards his prince, he hopes Yoongi would seek for his insights before doing anything.
“You’re right, he isn’t. But he’s known for making rash decisions and he’s someone who acts impulsively. For all you know he has long flown back to Gehenna.” Jin huffs, folding his arms across his chest. Gehenna is the central city of Infernum and is where the castle is located. “Can’t you please go check on him?” Jin stops in his tracks as he looks at Namjoon who is leaning against the railings of the balcony as the demon flicks the ash on the ash tray that looks like a gold dipped leaf.
“He’s still on Earth. You can feel him, can’t you?” The demon takes another whiff before putting the cigarette off.
“Yes, but for how long?” The beautiful male with golden eyes looks straight into his lover’s black eyes. He can see his own reflection in Namjoon’s void eyes and looks away. “Things are already bad enough in Gehenna. You heard Styx-noona, didn’t you? He has an army of Aqrabuamelu and Gogmagogs. If Yoongi were to charge head on-“ Jin stops himself as he grabs the pendant harder and digs his nails into his palm with the other hand that is balled up into a fist.
“Then what do you want Yoongi-hyung to do, love?” Namjoon asks, pushing his hair upwards. “Save himself and hide? Should he throw the Fallens away and see his kingdom fall down to ashes?”
“That’s not what I meant.” Jin mumbles.
“I know. But, you can’t expect him to stay idle. Yoongi-hyung isn’t like that.”
“He once was.” Jin argues petulantly and when Namjoon didn’t reply him, Jin knows he’s being childish again. “Okay,” He sighs, frowning. “So, what will happen if Yoongi knows about what happened to Hos-”
“What will happen if I know about who?” Yoongi asks, perching on the railing of the balcony with his grand wings on display. Namjoon immediately turns around and gives space for his prince to step on the ground. Jin follows suit as the beautiful male crosses his arms across his chest.
“Well, we’re about to find out.” Namjoon mumbles as Yoongi lands on the solid ground and retracts his wings back in. Yoongi had originally looked at Jin for answers but when he sees for a split second the Divine’s eyes turn to the right, Yoongi immediately finds out that Jin is trying to sugar coat it. At that point, in Yoongi’s eyes, Jin is no longer relevant to give him the answers he wants. Therefore, the prince averts his eyes towards his advisor. Namjoon isn’t like his lover. He’s a straight forward man. It’s probably because it’s always better if you don’t try to cover shit up when a problem comes. It makes the solving easier. “So?” The prince asks, greyish blue eyes staring straight into his advisor’s eyes.
“Hob-ah got stabbed.” Yoongi looks taken aback at the answer but still keeps a tight hold of his breaking façade. Namjoon quickly analyses Yoongi as he chooses his next words carefully. “Guk is currently looking up into the matter but it seems that the perpetrator wasn’t aiming for his vital organs. The incision is deep and it hit his wings so he will need some time to get back on his feet.”
“Where was he attacked?” Namjoon licks his lower lip as he wonders on how to answer his prince. When his advisor hesitates to answer him, Yoongi presses on. “Namjoon, I’ll ask again.” It was no secret that Yoongi has been livid since he received the call from Guk. First, it’s the bastard in his abode and now Hoseok got slashed. Why does everyone think it’s okay to fuck with him? “Where. The. Fuck did he get stabbed?”
“Bunga.” Namjoon sees how Yoongi’s eyes change in a matter of seconds and he had never been truly afraid of the prince before him until he witnesses how heavy the air gets almost immediately after. Bunga is a restricted area where ill willed creatures and evil spirits like Sluaghs can’t enter. Yoo Jung have made it so and the barrier had been up for as long as she’s alive and well.
‘If Hobi is attacked in Bunga… Shit.’ Yoongi grits his teeth as he tries to let the situation sink in properly. He has too much on his plate at the time and he couldn’t attend to all of them personally. The prince knows he can handle the bastard in his own birth country and his trusted advisor to handle the mermaid in Sweden. “Namjoon,”
“Sweden, right?” His dark pink haired advisor immediately calls Jackson as he patiently explains the change of plans.
And now, who will Yoongi send to check on his mother? He usually sends Hoseok but unfortunately, the angel isnt deemed to be useful at the moment. A certain blonde-haired Divine with hazel eyes should be the next most suitable candidate but the demon knows how much the older man hates returning to his roots. The next most suitable candidate is the prince himself. ‘Is it possible to check on mom before going back to Gehenna?’ Yoongi wonders and purses his lips.
“Don’t make such an ugly face, Yoongi.” Jin sighs, hand still twirling the ruby necklace. Kim Seokjin knows that he had done so much for Min Yoongi in the past but nothing he does can ever top the favour Yoongi had made for him; the one that grants him freedom. “I’ll go confirm Queen Yoo Jung’s status. I just need you to promise me to not be fucking stupid and use your head once in a while.” The blonde said without any bite behind it.
“Maybe I am an idiot but are you even aware that you’re serving the wrong king?” The mint-haired mumbles.
“Oh, please.” Seokjin snorts. “Wrong king, right king… Is there even such a thing? If you ever need my insight on this, I think there is no such thing as a right ruler. There is only a ruler who is more humane. So, if you’re telling me to stop, I will refuse. Why? Because I am listening to a ruler who cares about his people. Also, don’t give me a lecture on the whole Hera thing. The old hag can go fuck herself for all I care. There’s nothing wrong in helping you at all. Pushing everything aside, I’m just helping my friend.” The hazel eyed Divine places his hand on Yoongi’s head. If Aphrodite can give pleasure to those she touches, Jin calms them down. “On another hand, please bring Gukkie along with you if you’re planning to go to Gehenna. We don’t know what kind of army the bastard owns so please don’t go alone. Please. Going alone is no different than committing suici-.”
“Alright,” Yoongi sighs, cutting his friend off. “You’re babbling and I understand where you’re coming from.” Yoongi looks up to Jin and closes his eyes in frustration when he sees the worry behind his friend’s clear, golden eyes. “I want results and I dont want you to come back injured.”
“Where’s your fucking trust, Yoongi?” Jin huffs, fingers playing with the ruby pendant. He isn’t confident about this at all. But he’s the only one fit for this job at the moment. He knows it. Yoongi knows it. Namjoon knows it.
“Alright, then. Get me Gukkie.”
‘I guess Jimin and my banana chocolate milkshake and coffee have to wait.’
As soon as Jin enters the entrance to Olympus with his see-through pink floral lace shirt and a pair of black trousers and long earrings, he immediately received ‘the glorious’ unwanted attention. He takes off his rose coloured sunglasses with a fancy twirl of his hand before putting them on his fluffy hair. His hazel eyes hold his anxiety behind the fake confidence his form radiates. His plump glittered and glossed lips curls upwards into a smile as he takes in the city he loves so much but never misses. How can he not love Olympus? The place radiates from the most expensive jewels and rocks they make his feet tremble. There are so many beautiful things, they blind his hazel eyes.
Gold isnt as precious here in Paradisus than it is on Earth. In the city of Olympus, gold aren’t worn as accessories. Instead, they are moulded to be used as a primary ingredient to for a lot of things and some of which are the manors of the Gods and Goddesses, cutleries and toilet seats. Precious metals on earth are only used and utilized in that way. Stones that can be found on Earth usually grace the very ground they walk on. The Divines only wear precious stones found in the land of Paradisus and they are nothing compared to the Cartier Seokjin wears so proudly around his neck. He then thought that maybe he could get either Namjoon or Yoongi to get him upset to get his hands on one of the beautiful diamond earrings he saw which are sold at a highly ridiculous price.
Neverthless, he walks with his head up high; showing it off as he smiles at the way the ruby shines and how it complements his skin tone. He smiles at everyone he crosses paths with politely. Even though they are all judging him with their eyes, Seokjin tries to not let them get to him. One of the children running around has her eyes fixated on him and it warms his heart to see that at least the young don’t judge him. He waves his hand at her as to which she giddily replies back with two hands. When her mother turns to look, Seokjin couldnt explain how mortified and disgusted she was at her daughter for waving at him. “Darling, don’t mix around with someone like that. He is a humiliation to us all.” Seokjin frowns at the ‘subtlety’ before she drags her daughter away.
The little girl, however disregards her mother and continues to wave at him. He gives her a genuine smile as he begins to get hyperaware of the attention he receives just by waving at a little girl. And so, he continued walking down the streets. He isnt even dressed his level best and he couldn’t help but indulge the attention they shower him and the whispers that come with the ogling. ‘Have I really became this handsome to get this kind of attention from everyone?’ he thought smugly even when deep down, he knows that, that isnt the case.
Kim Seokjin is very used to the looks they throw his way. Their gazes – he noted – have never changed and neither did the content of their loud whispers. ‘Ugh someone please give them a tutorial on how to be subtle.’ He thought bitterly as he shamelessly struts onto Paradisus’s busiest street. The Divines mostly have a colourful vocabulary when it comes to describe Seokjin, Aphrodite’s only son as the latter embraces and welcomes the hatred and disgust in their eyes. It makes him feel welcomed; it makes him feel at home – for his mother has the same pair of eyes as them. He grew up with those eyes.
When he thinks about it… Yoongi and Namjoon are the only two who didn’t look at him like he’s a vile creature who isnt worth taking care of. They look at him the way he had always wanted to be seen – raw and beautiful and thirsty of love. He dare say his thirst is now half quench by the attention and the love Namjoon showered him every night. Every little kiss and touch – all so careful and full of love. Namjoon treated him like he’s fragile – like he’s the most precious stone in Paradisus and again and again he devotes his love for him until Seokjin couldn’t breathe.
And just like that, he becomes prettier with every attention and love.
As for Yoongi, it was maybe that fateful day where Yoongi beat the other Divine kids up and stood up for him. The prince yelled something about friendships and loyalty. It used to be hilarious in his ears but as Seokjin gets to know the prince, he realised that all Yoongi had ever wanted was to be seen and deemed enough for his father. Yoongi was just like him.
Seokjin is snapped out of his daydream when a familiar perfume hits his olfactory. The perfume – this wretched flowery scent that is smothering and asphyxiating him means she is close. And she is the reason why he dreaded coming back.
While his wild, fearful eyes roamed the streets, his heart stops when his hazel eyes finally meet her own pair of hazel. The colour and the liquid in their eyes are the same as the mother and son stared at each other from across the street.
Yoongi and Jeongguk had parted ways the minute they open a portal to Infernum. Yoongi had gone to Gehenna, the central city while Jeongguk went to the Styx River near the Saqar district where Styx and her lover, Acheron resides. As soon as Jeongguk gets there, the heavy air of Infernum begins to take a toll on him. He breaks into fits of cough as he tries to calm his body. His body must have gone into a shock due to change on environment. It isnt because he had spent most of his life on Earth but it’s more like he couldn’t spend the rest of his life in Infernum. Jeongguk has always resented this weak part of him but how can he ever reject the ones who made him?
When he calmed down, Jeongguk took small and frequent breaths to calm his body down and once it is more familiar with the air, he is finally able to breathe normally again. ‘Baby steps,’ he reminds himself as he makes his way to Styx and Acheron’s love nest. When their small house is in view, Jeongguk jogs slowly towards their house, still being mindful of the limited air he could take in. As soon as the house is in proximity, he hears Styx’s loud screams and without much thinking, Jeongguk bolts towards the door, ignoring the burn in his chest and the ripples of violent coughs that are trying to escape his system.
He had broken the door down when Styx screamed louder only to find her struggling in her lover’s arms. “Hyung, what’s happening?” Jeongguk asks as Acheron keeps a vice grip on his lover’s fluid body. He keeps letting her slip past his fingers and she keeps crying and screaming. It was insanity. It was pure chaos.
“Her eyes were gouged out.” Acheron said to the black-haired boy standing in the middle of his home in a grim voice as he tackles Styx into a hug. “Please, love…” He whispers into her ear in a begging tone. “Please come back to me.” He repeats in the same soothing voice as he rocks her back and forth. “Love, please, listen to me. It’s alright, now. The prince had come. Jeongguk is here, too. No one is going to hurt you anymore.” Styx’s eyes are her weak spot and also her strong spot. She has now turned to water and her eyes are the only thing that she was allowed to keep to witness the oaths taken by the gods and goddesses – Fallens, Divines and everything in between.
And now, it has been taken away from her.
With a final scream, Styx had thrown something away before she passes out. One of the things that she had thrown hit his favourite brown boots. Out of curiosity, he had bend over and taken the peculiar object. His blood turns cold when he realises the object had been her eye. Jeongguk knows for a fact that gotten her eyes ripped off hurt and growing it out hurt even more. The memories that came with it are even worse. “Help Y’ngi.” Styx mumbles in her sleep and Acheron looks at her, pained to leave her side.
“Hyung, go. I’ll stay with her.” Jeongguk said and with a curt nod, Acheron left. Who was he to defy his lover and the prince’s brother? As soon as the Guardian Acheron left, Jeongguk stares at the eyeball in his hand and without hesitation, he pops the eyeball into his mouth.
Yoongi had never once in his life ever thought that he will have to face this situation one day. It is rather hilarious to him that these are the creatures that was once sweeping and cleaning the ground he walks on and now are throwing a rebellion against him. ‘All the fucking ugly and ungrateful little pieces of shit.’ He growls as his eyes scan the giants, the race of destruction – the Gog Magogs and the Aqrabuamelu flooding his castle.
Amongst them, he could see 4 of his fine palace guards with their weapons pointed straight at him.
“Prince Yoongi, please, we don’t want to hurt you.” Leviathan pleads as she slithers closer to him.
“Come on, Levi, don’t be a pussy. We’ve all been waiting for a long time to kick his ass and this whole rebellion is a perfect chance.” Mammon jumps on his feet. It has been a while since he had gotten excited.
“Yes, but not like this, Mammon.” Leviathon frowns, looking at her prince sorrowly. “He’s still our prince and any attacks on him will mean treason.” The serpent tries to reason out.
“You, not wanting to serve our rightful king itself is treason.” One of the Gogmagogs hiss as they raise their weapon up.
“How dare you raise those things you call weapons up against me?” Leviathan turns, her eyes turning dark red. “Know your place for I can easily gobble you all up.”
“You should watch your mouth. There’s a million of us. Remember that our kind are made to destroy. We are the race who will drink all your seas up and beyond.” One of them seethes. “We are enough to devour you.”
“Enough.” Yoongi said, retracting his wings. “I didn’t come here to witness your fight. Those who wish to fight me may advance and those who you don’t, stand back.” The prince said, eyes turning black and the first two who came lunging at him had him swat them back just fine. When the giants came in and the Aqrabuamelu joined the party, Yoongi knows he was fucked.
He could feel his wings getting plucked off and his skin bitten off. The giants had kicked him and slammed him against the tiles.
Before he blacked out, he could taste the blood in his mouth and randomly thought that maybe something with marshmallows would taste more like Jimin.
Back in a hospital in one of Paradisus’s province, Mejiwoo was looking out of the window from her hospital bed with a cup of strawberry flavoured tea in her hands. She had requested to be sent to a more peaceful area of Paradisus where the Gods and Goddesses here are much tamer than they are in the capital. They are less stuck up and acted more of a Divine here in the countryside. They teach their children to be grateful and happy. It the only place where the buildings aren’t built with gold and pavement aren’t paved with precious stones. Everything is normal, peaceful and calm.
And suddenly, the beautiful angel thought of her twin brother. Three soft knocks on the door before it opens, revealing an elderly nurse, holding a bouquet of hyacinths. She stares at the bouquet in her arms and sighs. “Throw them away.” She said, frowning.
“Are you sure, honey?”
“Yes. I don’t need those flowers.”
“But the sender must have felt really guilty. They are always hyacinths…”
“I know what they mean.” Mejiwoo said, not meaning to be rude as she bites her lower lip. “It’s just I’m waiting for a sign to know that he remembers me.”
And it’s true. She couldn’t bear to face him knowing that he wouldn’t remember each touch and each kiss and memories engraved in her heart. It hurt. Each day, she was hoping for another flower – the flower. So that she knows Yoongi can somehow remember her or even remember what they have been through. She wasn’t searching for forgiveness. She had forgiven him a long time ago. She just wants him to remember. Remember himself, remember her, remember them.
“Please, Yoongi. Please, remember me.” Mejiwoo whispers into the air like a secret as it evaporates into the air.

soul: *rolls eyes*
Patty: *gagging*
Kid: (awkwardly clears his throat) "W-Well, then...I suggest refreshing drinks are in order..."
liz: good call.
*At a local smoothie bar*
Patty: (brings out the drinks) "Here you are, folks!" (hands out drinks)

Kid: (sips) "Hmm...Tasty."

Black Star: (sees the same poster) "Wow..."
tsubaki: well, up for a trip?
Black Star: "I'm game. Soul?"
soul: sure. i could use the work out.
Black Star: (smirks) "Yeah--you're looking a little stringy, Soul."
soul: *chuckles* up yours.
Black Star: "Well, let's get going." (slaps Soul's back)

Black Star: "Kyoto...Been a while."
tsubaki: yeah...
Black Star: "How far to the theater?"
soul: i think i found it...
Black Star: "??? Where?"
-there is a building up ahead. it seems to be closed-
Black Star: "Hmm...Breaking and entering?"
soul: do we have much of a choice?
Black Star: "I can't tell whether anyone is inside..." (sniffs) "Ugh...But I smell something in there. Better find a secret way in so not to alert anyone inside."
tsubaki: through the ally?
Black Star: "Maybe a window or door is there..."
soul: *he looks around*

Black Star: "R-Right!" (tugs at the chain, trying to trip the Geisha and Mask)

-it seems to be a large puppet mechanism-
Black Star: "Puppets?! Aw, man! I hate puppets! So creepy..."
soul: try getting onto it. i saw this in a video game once!
Black Star: "Okay!" (leaps up onto the puppet)
-there seems to be a few levers and such-
Black Star: "Okay, so just pull on this lever--"
-the left arm begins to move-
Black Star: "Sweet! I control a giant puppet!"
soul: kick ass! *fending off mask*
Black Star: (pulls levers to swing the puppet's limbs at Geisha)
-smack into the wall-
-after a while, after a tough battle-
Black Star: "Tsubaki? Soul? You okay?"
tsubaki: y-yes...
soul: bruised, but i'll live....so which one do you guys want?
Black Star: "I want answers from the Geisha! What happened to all those theater people?!"
geisha: <check the back. those curses do wonders>
Black Star: " 'Curses'? No! You have to undo them!"
geisha: <why should i? after all the hard work we put into getting those souls?>
Black Star: " 'Cause if you don't, I'm going to put my fist through your head!"
-after contacting eibon via lord death's mirror, they were able to remove the curse-
Black Star: "At least Old Man Eibon was able to do it...Now, what do we do with these asses?"
tsubaki: take their souls to lord death?
Black Star: (nods) "Okay, you two are coming with us!"
-the next day-
Black Star: (shivers) "That mission was creepy..."
soul: well, on the bright side, tsubaki and i are both one step closer to becoming a deathscythe.
Black Star: (nods) "That's something."
soul: how many does that give me now?
Black Star: "I think you're up to the 60s or 70s? And I think Tsubaki is up to...12?"
soul: ah right, 77.
tsubaki: ^^;;
Black Star: "Hmmm...Maybe if there was, like, some large group of bad people all on Death's list, all in one place, you could get the rest of those souls all at once, Soul."
soul: wishful thinking...
Black Star: "Worth a try."
liz: hey guys! great to see you're back.
Patty: "Yeah! How did the mission go, Soul?"
soul: went pretty well i think.
Kid: "Anything surprising about the souls you collected?"
soul: tsubaki and black*Star still have a ways to go yet, but i think they did a great job.
Black Star: "Heh heh..."
Kid: "One soul each, eh? Well, that is certainly symmetrical..."
soul: *sweats* yeeeeah....
Kid: "???"
soul: say, it's about lunchtime, right?
Patty: "Yep! And I'm starving!"
Black Star: "Same!"

Patty: (eating her burger)
Kid: (carefully cutting up a pizza with fork and knife)
stocking: *enjoying her lunch*
Black Star: "Yummy...How's your meal, Liz?"
liz: really good.
soul: *nom nom*
Kid: "Maybe a get-together is in order? Perhaps dinner at the mansion?"
soul: sure.
Patty: "We did scary movies last time...Maybe something else? A game?"
soul: you got any games?
stocking: we do have some video games
Kid: "And quite a number of board games."
tsubaki: game night at kid's it is then.
Patty: "Yay!"

soul: i invited chrona too, hope you dont mind.
Crona: "...I can leave..."
Kid: "Nonsense. Come in!"
soul: it's fine. we dont get to hang out as often, so it'd be fun.
Crona: "O-Okay..."
Patty: "So many games to try!"
stocking: how about some candyland?
Kid: (smirks) "Sweet."
stocking: hehe~ oh you~ *smooch*
Kid: (blushes)
Patty: (gagging)
soul: can we get to the game before the barffest?
Kid: -_-; "Fine...Who wants which piece?"

Patty: "Gumdrop Pass, Gumdrop Pass--Shoot! I missed it!"
stocking: not bad.
Black Star: "Better than me...I keep rolling two ones. Man, never has being Number One sucked so much."
soul:....*pats chrona's back*
Crona: (shivers--then tosses the dice) "I-I got six...Oh! I landed on the Candy Cane. I-Is that good?"
soul: i think so.
Kid: "At least you did not land on the licorice...I lost a turn." (pouts)
stocking: *she hugs him* aww...
Kid: o\\\\\\o
-a few games later-
Crona: "...I can't believe I won..."
liz: congratulations!
Ragnarok: "We played this game--and no freaking candy?!"
liz: we have some prepared. here you go.
Ragnarok: (latches onto Liz's hand)

I often get scared when I see people send in an ask SO QUICKLY after I post the chapter cos i’m like “there’s no way in HELL you read ALL of that and took in ALL the information in 5 minutes...” lol because I do put in a lot of detail and information and for someone who was to speed read it...I think it would be less enjoyable for them that way :(

I’m always trying not to make episodes feel filler-y! I thought that perhaps at the start of this chapter, it felt that way. But it slowly built up to the ending which turned it into a normal storyline! Trust me - many years of watching Naruto + Naruto Shippuuden made me HATE fillers with a passion lolol but they can of course be needed for a storyline to be complete!
