Unpopular opinion about Voldemort regarding sex

In my opinion, before meeting Bellatrix Voldemort was proudly a virgin by choice. For him, sex is a way to guarantee the continuation of the lineage, so for him it is useless, furthermore he sees abstinence as a form of spiritual elevation (and in my canon he is gray-ace, so he falls into the asexual spectrum).

Hi hi once again lovelies, it is I your admin <;3 (i really need a name for you all to call me huh) Anyways, We're on to Raphael and I took way too many screencaps for this so I had to like pick and choose which ones I'm gonna use lol there were SO many good moments not to highlight. So just so you know, the beginning of it literally starts the same way as Michael's prologue with Minhyeok making a wish, us seeing his brother yadda ya (hmmm and here I thought it would be slightly different I guess not) And after that we're gonna dive right the fuck in. As per usual this is a two-parter, get yourself a snack and let's gooo ♨(⋆‿⋆)♨

So our MC was invited to Avisos in this story to celebrate x-mas but it's very different from what they're used to. Samba, festival clothing, parades, etc. Avisos be gettin' down I swear. But MC is over here like "the samba has nothing to do with-" Let them party. It's fine. Everyone celebrates differently and the Avisos citizens wanna shake their ass to some feel good music.

Naberius coming in to call them out on their thoughts, here is when I find out he can technically read minds so I'm gonna have to be careful around him...cause does that happen automatically or does he just do that when he feels like it?

I think it's cute he's feeding MC btw, but MC being guilty about what they said makes sense because it's like telling someone when you go over their house you don't like how they do something. Because you could...just wait until you get home or something don't tell me that while you're here lmao

So in this scene Naberius explains that he had the turkey cooked and made just because he knew humans ate two types of meat (really three if you feel) during christmas and wanted to make MC comfortable. It also sounds good as fuck because sauce was dripping down MC's chin.

But Naberius was treating it more like a chore than what a lover would, so this has me headcanon that Naberius is possibly part of the ace (asexual) family! now I'm unsure if he'd be demi, gray, or just full on ace but regardless, he's being cute feeding MC like this.

Meanwhile....

Our troublesome two...it's literally like watching two brothers fight and it's funny to me. Like Amon please don't take Stolas' juice T^T it was literally in his hand when he took it lmao

Also that sounds good too because it was fresh from a fruit bowl....my diet would be terrible in Avisos they eat so much and so many good foods ;.; (my ibs would probably kick my ass too)

So while Amon and Stolas are squabbling, Naberius is just like chiding them as per usual and MC asks where Bael is. He's working (poor bby let him REST) and this is when Naberius says that Amon and Stolas should be working too and only he was asked to look over MC during the festivities and that they usually have to patrol around because things get crazy lol

Stolas ofc is like yeah who the fuck cares we don't get to celebrate anyway so I'm taking this time to do so xD

He also adds that he's usually not outside during this time anyway because ppl annoy him with their happiness. (omfg Stolas is me on most days like why are all you outside? There's too many fucking ppl outside, go back to your own houses while I do grocery shopping then you can come back out)

Amon chimes in that Stolas likes staying in his dark room and how mature that is despite how he looks. Stolas gets really offended and threatens to kill him (that's on brand for our bird bby, he's so adorable)

ANYWAYS what Amon really does like to bring up that Stolas looks so young and honestly it's just like...I can see why he would be irriated about that coming up each time.

Amon ignores him of course and says he wants to make memories with MC (he's so fucking cute omfg) and Naberius whacks him on the head to remind him that he has work to do and he can't just be doing whatever.

AMON YOU CUTIE LOVE YOU <3333333 He's adorable, like I'd hang out with him all day if he wanted me to. (I also can imagine that since he gets flirty in the beel event, he'd probably feel comfortable enough to do a l o t more flirting when it's MC/you with him)

So Naberius brings in some lore about Avisos, bascially stating that they always need to celebrate something and there's no real reason for them to do so. As I stated before, this country loves to fucking party like I swear there was always something going on. He did bring up that he's slightly glad it's chilled out since the war (must of been that bad if a war makes him happy they stopped)

And MC is just like oh do you guys believe in Santa then or no?

And then our sexy sexy Beel boo enters the chat

So naturally all of his nobles are happy to see him, Amon especially and he brought them gifts!!!

He basically brought everyone back souvenirs from the places he's been. That's so thoughtful because he took time to think about what each person would like. This is also something I do when getting gifts for ppl and every day they reveal more about Beel it makes me be like "yup that's why I was paired with him"

Now we get to see what he got MC and oh.....

So we get some repeat lore about Raph, we got a little bit from the halloween event where it was Ppyong that explained how dangerous he was. And well from reading his comic he's literally as bloodthirsty as his seraph comrades...once he likes to play around and torment folks a bit. And if you're another angel that he does not like for any fucking reason yeah you're in the crossfire too. Raph's hands are rated E for everyone.

Naberius is over here growling and challenging him and Raph with those big balls of his (hehehe) is basically being like yeah you sent for me so don't trip. But that's the thing I don't think anyone particularly called for him...though it does seem like there's a specific angel that likes bothering a specific country. Raph-Avisos, Gabe-Gehenna, and Mike-Tartaros.

And then from here he starts giving critiques on the fucking meat and the customer service of the stalls and I'm like Raph bby.....why are you doing this lmao He's such a true villian because totally coming in and taking the local's food and still not satisfied with it tracks.

Junior Novel

1. Hazel's Theory of Evolution by Lisa Jen Bigelow Hazel knows a lot about the world. But even Hazel doesn't have answers for the questions awaiting her as she enters eighth grade. What if no one at her new school gets her, and she doesn't make any friends? What's going to happen to one of her moms, who's pregnant again after having two miscarriages? Why does everything have to change when life was already perfectly fine? Hazel is asexual and aromantic (it isn't said in the book, but it is specified in the author's note at the back of the book).

A highly loved book in regards to asexual portrayal, Felicity’s journey does a fantastic job of exploring the struggle of navigating a world where marriage is expected of women in order to function in society. Even more refreshing is Felicity isn’t just avoiding getting married out of a sole rebellion against the patriarchy (though those themes are also present), but simply because she doesn’t have an interest in sexual or romantic relationships at all.

11. Before I Let Go by Marieke Nijkamp When Corey moves away from Lost Creek, Alaska, she makes her friend Kyra promise to stay strong during the long, dark winter, and wait for her return. Just days before Corey is to return home to visit, Kyra dies. The entire Lost community speaks in hushed tones, saying her death was meant to be. And they push Corey away like she's a stranger. With every hour, Corey's suspicion grows. Lost is keeping secrets-- but piecing together the truth about what happened to her best friend may prove as difficult as lighting the sky in an Alaskan winter. Aro/Ace main character.

12. Seven Ways We Lie by Riley Redgate Seven students. Seven (deadly) sins. One secret. There is a character who sounds asexual and aromantic and autistic but none of these are ever explicitly named. He seems like a stereotype at first but has his own storyline that's both important plot wise and gives him his own character arc.

13. Not Your Villain by C. B. Lee Bells Broussard thought he had it made when his superpowers manifested early. Being a shapeshifter is awesome. He can change his hair whenever he wants, and if putting on a binder for the day is too much, he's got it covered. But that was before he became the country's most-wanted villain. After discovering a massive cover-up by the Heroes' League of Heroes, Bells and his friends Jess, Emma, and Abby set off on a secret mission to find the Resistance. Aromantic Black secondary character.

14. Not Your Backup by C. B. Lee Part 3 in the Sidekick Squad series by C.B. Lee. Follows a questioning aromantic asexual latinx superhero sidekick fighting to prove her worth on the team despite her lack of superpowers, all admist the team's battle against the corrupt League of Heroes.

15. Fire Becomes Her by Rosiee Thor With only a drop, one can light the night sky with fireworks . . . or burn a building to the ground. The few flare families on top — the so-called “elite” — hoard the magical resource for themselves, and seventeen-year-old Ingrid Ellis wants her fair share. Main character is demiromantic.

16. Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman Rumi Seto spends a lot of time worrying she doesn’t have the answers to everything. What to eat, where to go, whom to love. But there is one thing she is absolutely sure of—she wants to spend the rest of her life writing music with her younger sister, Lea. Then Lea dies in a car accident, and her mother sends her away to live with her aunt in Hawaii while she deals with her own grief. This identity is asserted more often and firmly than her asexuality, and Little Badger drops in nuggets of education for us settlers about what Indigenous people, and the Lipan Apache in particular, suffered at the hands of settlers.

23. Loveless by Alice Oseman A queer coming of age story featuring a romance obsessed aromantic asexual main character discovering her sexuality and coming to terms with what that means, and a variety of other queer characters that support her on her journey.

24. Aces Wild A Heist by Amanda DeWitt An all-asexual online friend group attempts to break into a high-stakes gambling club and commit a heist together. Includes a male asexual character navigating what love looks like for him, an aromantic asexual Latinx gender-nonconforming boy, a Vietnamese American and German asexual nonbinary teen, and a black asexual girl. This cast represents a range of ace and aro identities.

25. Tarnished Are the Stars by Rosiee Thor A secret beats inside Anna Thatcher's chest: an illegal clockwork heart. Before she does, Georgina faces a tragedy that tests the islanders' trust. In this book, Georgina’s best friend Vira is aroace, and it’s addressed somewhat in the story at different points. There is a sweet strength between Georgina and Vira, full of loyalty and support that is lovely to see.

27. Hullmetal Girls by Emily Skrutskie Aisha Un-Haad, seventeen, and Key Tanaka, eighteen, have risked everything for new lives as mechanically enhanced soldiers, and when an insurrection forces dark secrets to surface, the fate of humanity is in their hands. In Hullmetal Girls, Aisha is not only ace/aro but she is also happy with her identity. Crucially, so is everyone else.

28. The Trouble by Daria Defore Danny Kim is a college student and the frontman of a Seattle based indie band. He also happens to be aromantic, and completely matter of fact about that aspect of his personality; The Trouble is not a coming out book, which is refreshing. (source)

29. A Promise Broken by Lynn E. O'Connacht/S.L. Dover Cooper Four-year-old Eiryn tries to grieve her mother while her uncle and caretaker, Arèn, fights accusations of her upsetting the world’s balance with a song. Arèn, aromantic and asexual.

100. Ace What Asexuality Reveals About Desire, Society, and the Meaning of Sex by Angela Chen Angela Chen does a remarkable job exploring asexuality and aromanticism in a modern context. She relates the identity back to how queerness is represented or underrepresented in popular media. By looking at these identities in a large context, we get to learn a lot more about how amazing these identities actually are. An asexual person herself, Angela Chen has such a fantastic narrative voice that keeps the reader engaged.

101. The Invisible Orientation An Introduction to Asexuality by Julie Sondra Decker The perfect book for those struggling with their identity, and for people whose loved ones are asexual or aromantic. It goes into how these identities are treated and are largely ignored. It does a great job of analyzing all this data, as well as pointing out how reception of this identity is changing to being not so invisible anymore. A much more academic text than others in this list, it’s still an easy enough read that you shouldn’t be intimated by the academic language. It’s very much an accessible read.

I have not read all this books, but I did my best to ensure the representation of the chracters when I was looking for books for this list. I did my best for genres, but sometimes it was hard to know.

today i want to share with you two concepts i really like: light graysexual and dark graysexual.

the idea is that, because gray asexuality is such a big spectrum, there are people who are closer to the allo side: light graysexuals, and people who are closer to the ace side: dark graysexuals. light graysexuals experience significantly more or stronger sexual attraction than dark graysexuals.

obviously we shouldn't try to force everyone's experiences into a dichotomy, in fact that's exactly the opposite of what the gray ace label is meant to do. being gray ace is complicated, even more complicated than a position on a sliding scale, and no one is under any obligation to id as either light or dark gray ace. but idk, i find the idea neat! i think there's value in descriptive terms like these, and there's a certain elegance to these two in particular.

where do you think you fall on that spectrum? i think over the course of my life i've been at different points, but currently i'd probably put myself on the light side.

About Voldemort's sexuality

People often support Voldemort's supposed asexuality, justifying it with a lack of evidence to the contrary in the books. Honestly, what books have they read? In this passage Voldemort clearly talks about desire (and it is not the only part of the books where he makes it clear that he knows what it is). I think he may be on the asexual spectrum like Gray Ace, but he wasn't completely asexual and you just have to read the books to understand that, because it's clearly written, just like the fact that he and Bellatrix are lovers.

It was pouring cats and dogs out as Billy peeked out the window of his bookshop, people milling about inside, looking at books, and enjoying coffee. There was a low hum of conversation, and the shop smelled like coffee beans and cookies.

And then you appeared.

You were running through the downpour, bursting into the bookstore with a newspaper over your head, soaked through. It was not good for your autoimmune. “Billy—“ You said, eyes alight with excitement, as though whatever it was, was worth going out into a storm for.

“Little bird, why are you out in the rain? Do you wanna catch your death out there?” He said, voice hard as his eyes narrowed, taking in your soaked appearance.

“Bought you somethin’, Billy goat.” You said quietly, tossing the newspaper in a garbage can. It had done no good.

He grabbed your arm, dragging you up to his apartment where he lived above the bookshop, telling Curtis to watch the shop. “Billy—“ you murmured, following him into his apartment, and then his bedroom while he dug through his dresser, tall and wooden with his dog tags hanging off the side, along with his medals of honor.

A reminder he was a fighter. A survivor. There was a gun on the dresser, old habits die hard, you figured. Your scout sniper specialist.

It was surprising to see him in such a gentle, and quiet profession, after all the death and blood and violence he’d seen.

You remembered him drunk one evening as you both laid in his bed. “I’m just some asshole who thinks he can have the good things in life. All I’m good for is killin’.”

You’d pulled his head against your chest, fingers scratching his scalp. “I love you, that’s all that matters. Thorns and all.”

His fingers had dug into your hips, and he ended up having several nightmares that night, and you woke up to him leaning against the headboard with a gun on his lap, but he’d settled when you sat up, and rested your head on his shoulder, pinky curling around his, bringing him back to reality.

He threw a sweater at you where you stood at the door. “Put that on, little bird.” He said in a low voice, eyes burning into you, betraying his worry. You whined but obeyed, beginning to remove your dress as you shivered realizing just how cold you were, and Billy left to give you privacy.

You came back out to the living area afterwards, with wet hair and bare thighs that had rain water dripping down them. Billy swallowed, even though he knew you weren’t sexual at all, he still found himself wanting to enter a relationship with you, despite your asexuality. He’d felt more intimate with you at times, than the sexual encounters he’d had. You filled some void he’d had since childhood that sex had never filled, though not from lack of trying.

Intimacy with you was more important than sex.

You flopped down on the couch, unaware of the train of his thoughts. “Got you this,” you said eagerly, thrusting the object in his face.

It was a whiskey glass with the title Dorian Gray on the front, he looked at the glass closer, and saw book’s opening lines around the glass. People rarely thought of Billy, rarely remembered things about him, and your gift had him turning to you, and tangling his fingers in your wet hair, and pulling you closer, kissing your forehead, your nose, your cheeks, and eventually your mouth in a close mouth kiss, the feeling of you smiling at his lips was intimate.

His cheeks burned pink as he pulled back, breathless. His eyes were dark, and fathomless.

“Do you like it, Billy?” You asked, fluttering your eyelashes at him, pinky curling around his finger. You did that ever since the first night he’d had nightmares. You’d done it to soothe, knowing touch was difficult with Billy.

“Yeah, little bird, I like it.” He husked, burying his nose in your hair, smelling rain and your shampoo. He loved you, and he wasn’t sure what to do about it.

But for now, he allowed himself to be happy, content even.

Not everything had to be complicated. It was simple, he loved you, and that was enough.
