Daily Check-in: April 24, 2024 🎀
Wednesday started out so rough, I had a really bad stress breakdown from the pressure I was putting on myself for the exam I have today (Thursday), but luckily my dad was able to calm me down over the phone and my boyfriend motivated me and encouraged me. I don't feel as stressed out anymore, I know that I know the material and I'll do great! (it's a chemistry exam)
🩷 What I Accomplished:
studied chemistry for a good bit
completed 3 chemistry homework assignments
scheduled a make-up quiz for my psyc class
did the Total Body Pilates video from Blogilates
did the 11 minute Wake Up Yoga from Yoga with Adriene
did my morning skincare and journaling
actually, just did my entire morning routine and felt great about it
shipped off shorts I sold on depop
went to chemistry lecture to review for the exam
went to my virtual appointment with a registered dietitian and set some goals for the next 2 weeks
decided to join a step challenge with my health insurance company to win points (they have some cool things in their points shop, plus extra steps during the day is good for my health!)
washed my laundry
made a brain dump list for the remainder of the week
💞 Good Things That Happened:
I really like the dietitian I met with and have another appointment with her in 2 weeks
I really enjoyed using my new 40oz Simple Modern insulated tumbler cup
didn't let my stress breakdown make me go home, very proud of myself for sticking to my plans
went to sleep early
sold another item on depop!
I felt very reassured that I know the content that is going to be on my upcoming exam
the guy who makes sushi at my campus food court made sushi for me and held it until I went to get it so no one would buy it, i could've cried it was so nice of him
I drank coffee on campus and it didn't hurt my stomach for once!
💔 What Could've Gone Better:
need to put less pressure on myself
had some issues with food after my dietitian appointment (sometimes thinking too much about food can be triggering for me, tbh, but my goals are nutrient based which is helpful!!)
started crying before I went to bed because I was feeling oddly emotional (I think I'm starting my period soon)
had to turn down a work shift because I had too much school stuff and that appointment (I need the money so bad tho)
did not drink near enough water
need to be more patient and gentle with myself
also need to really figure out what's going on with my priorities, I keep struggling to do the things I say I'm going to do which is difficult for me to deal with sometimes
need to remember progress over perfection, 50% is always better then doing 0% of something
💗 Stuff For Thursday
clean my room
listen to a podcast episode
maybe do some more laundry
make a grocery list
clean my bathroom
therapy today over video call
reschedule a morning appointment
chemistry exam tonight
try to ship off the shirt I sold on depop
do some more planning and organizing for my life
that's all for now! Thursdays gonna be good. My exam is gonna go great! I have confidence in myself, and my knowledge and I know I've got this!

🌱 02.10.2024 Apologies for my long absence >< I've been so busy this 2nd semester like there's so much work to do. Now, I'm giving myself even more work by enrolling in a side class hehe. Anyway, I'm taking an online program for teaching early childhood learners. Personally, enrolling in this program serves as an alternative for not being able to get the course I wanted, which is Early Childhood Education, because it was not offered to me back then. I ended up taking Secondary Education.

Daily Check-in: April 4, 2024 🎀
What a good day! I swear I hadn't had a day so good in so long, but this day was absolutely amazing!
🩷 What I Accomplished Today:
reviewed chapters 8 and 9 of Spanish on Busuu
Studied my Spanish flashcards 1x all the way through
listened to three podcast episodes in spanish
read a chapter of Deep Work, the last chapter of Atomic Habits, and a section from 101 Essays to Change The Way You Think
discovered and listened to "A Better You" podcast by Fernanada Raamirez
Went to my make up chemistry lab
took a make up psyc quiz
met with my psych doctor
had a therapy session
had a meeting with the director of the Dietetic program for my university
filled out an application to become an SI instructor (just not to turn it in to the head SI guy now)
Caught up on my chemistry notes
opened a savings account for my university
searched for nearby places to rent/live (I'm moving out soon, sometime this year)
🩷 What Went Good Today:
Got encouraged to add a 2nd major in Finance
Created a list/schedule of classes for next semester that I'm really excited about
learned about other on-campus job opportunities in case SI doesn't work out
felt confident about my psyc quiz after I took it
the director of the Dietetic program was the absolute sweetest and most helpful, and I am so glad I met with her because she answered all of my questions and gave me some great encouragement
finished my chem lab very quickly
didn't need extra money to open a savings account so a savings account got opened
🩷 What Could Have Gone Better:
I felt like I bugged my dad a lot, but I was just so excited to tell him how good everything was going
Need to re evaluate how much I can realistically save per paycheck at the moment for my housing situation AND the college savings account
got a bit emotional with my boyfriend over some past stuff
did not eat the best or the healthiest
psych doc ordered an EKG because she is concerned that I may have an arrhythmia (had an EKG done in the past for the same reason, but was told it was because of my exercise habits at the time ~4 years ago) and having an arrhythmia will limit the mental health medication I am able to take
Overall, not a bad day whatsoever! I was in a really good mood all day because of how awesome everything was and I'm super grateful that I was able to have such a good day!

100 Days of Productivity 3/100
2024 January 9
I went to the library before work and had a productive day. I spent a lot of time trying to learn Excel and following tutorials as prep for my next Bio lab, but this work didn’t help actually complete the lab itself…. Annoyed with myself for needing the tutorial section.
Finished a lecture section/practice problems for Bio and went to office hours to clear something up. The TAs were so nice but then someone else hopped on and he made me cry I felt so stupid lol. 😵‍💫
Did a lot of readings for Bio and Art of Asia. Finally got some Korean studying in, but my TTMIK account is glitching so I couldn’t do everything I wanted. Honestly a frustrating day but I’m proud of myself for getting stuff done anyhow!

✿°•∘ 11.13.2023 I was bummed that I failed my short quiz in Teaching Profession so I went to the library afterwards to study the content of the quiz a bit more. My professor doesn't give our papers back so I quickly took a photo of it before giving it back to her. I started writing everything down, questions and their correct answers, and add a few notes in there.
