supernatural s9e10 road trip (w. andrew dabb)

didn't realize we were on a 'road so far' episode already. oh did we really need a funeral pyre? buh. okay what irritates me about that is it can lean on the emotions i associate going back to john's pyre. as much as i warmed up to kevin, his death did not really make me feel anything. and now they can borrow against my fucked up dead parents feelings that got shaken up via john. don't like it.

also borrowing against my thoughts on dean's feelings via john's death, having this long zoom out from dean at the fire, licensed music playing. oh, it gets worse! the cleaning up kevin's footprint in the bunker. no more extra little brother at home.

was thinking today actually about mrs. tran, how crowley said she was dead but i couldn't remember if we ever confirmed if she was actually dead?

thought of it because of the phone. the logistics of the aftermath of someone has died. i was too young to deal with anything from when my dad died, but i was 32 when my mom died (fun fact i guess that would make it a year before this season aired) so my brother and i dealt with the house and belongings. damnit. now i'm upset about that, buncha cheap shots, show. sigh. too much thinking, more watching.

dean guilt++ and no sam because he's off being ridden around by a fucked up murdering angel

all right. mega confusion. so i was like this dude, why do i know this dude, is that ezekial/gadreel, was he in an older episode of spn? anyway i apparently didn't look him up when we first met him but he was one of the dimi's in s1 of altered carbon... and dimi 2 was in an spn episode (s4e5 the black and white one). i had forgotten that while dimi is the same dude, it was different meatsuits (sleeves, in the show).

wonder how padalecki felt about playing an even more different character now. recall reading something recently about jackles talking about how it was harder when he was playing soulless!sam etc because it wasn't that same dynamic

I've shared this before, it did make it a little bit more difficult when Jared was playing soulless Sam or Dean was playing demon Dean or Michael. It made it a little bit, well, it was different because that person that you rely on who brings their character to life in a way that supports what you're doing and that is relatable and that is almost, is somebody that you rely on to fulfill—he completes me. Great, that's the headline tomorrow... "Jensen Ackles finally admits... ...that he really does love Tom Cruise movies." So yeah, to get back the question, it it did make it a little bit more difficult to do what we were so used to doing when you take that element away and but again that's I think that that was one of the great things about Supernatural is that we took chances like that, we swung for the fences on a lot of different things.

at least i can tolerate it a little better when they have these little mini breakups, now that it's happened so many times. and i don't think they're committing to a long separation onscreen? but i don't know honestly

A Little Slice of Kevin: Part One

Pairing: Dean Winchester x Female!Reader

Word Count: ~1.9k

Warnings: canon angst and violence

Author’s Note: I do not own anything from Supernatural. All credit goes to their respective owners. Any and all comments on these are appreciated.

It's always good to take a break from your family once in a while. Joanna and Sam are hanging out back home while you and Dean are on the road. It's almost ten at night, and the road ahead of you is quiet and dark. Dean took the back roads to avoid lights and traffic, and it's the kind of silence you need to unwind. The windows are rolled down, the wind is nice on your skin and hair, and soft rock music playing on the radio is peaceful.

You have a magazine in your hands using the light from the sun visor mirror. It's a dull light that doesn't bother Dean. There is a storm coming, but it's not yet raining. It's very windy and there is lightning in the distance to warn people about the sudden weather. Dean is munching on some chips, but you're drowning out the noise he's making.

"Wait, don't turn the page. I haven't finished reading it," Amara says, getting on your nerves.

"Can you please shut up?" you sigh and flip the page anyway. "Leave me alone."

"Are you okay?" Dean asks, turning down the radio.

"Yeah, fine. Just trying to read."

You sigh and close the magazine, flipping the visor up and shrouding the car in darkness. Amara leans back in her seat and slips into the back of your mind and out of the car.

"I'm serious. How is everything? How are our babies?"

"Our babies are doing just fine. In fact, give me your hand," you grin.

Dean places the bag of chips into his other hand before giving you his right hand. You grab it and place it on your growing stomach. You place it right underneath your left breast, high on your stomach. You wait a few seconds before your baby boy kicks his father's hand. Dean's eyes light up when he feels his son's feet against his hands.

"Is that...?"

"Robert? I've gotten to know which one is which. Maryann likes to be up when I'm sleeping, and Robert loves car rides. He's extra fidgeting now that he knows you're here."

"I can't believe this. I mean, we have Joanna but feeling this is surreal every single time."

"I still don't know why Amara is here, but I will know the second something is wrong. I promise everything is okay."

"Okay, I believe you."

You look up just as lightning strikes in the distance, lighting up the road for you. On the side of the road is a man wearing a trench coat with pajamas underneath. The man also has a beard that's been overgrown. Your brain doesn't register who it could be until Dean passes by him.

"Was that Castiel?"

Dean slams on the breaks, and you press your hand against the dashboard to keep yourself from flying through the windshield. Dean does a sharp 180 and drives over to the spot where you two thought you saw Castiel. Keeping the car locked in park, you both get out to inspect the area. The man is long gone, and you wonder if he was another hallucination. Then again, Dean must have seen him if he stopped.

"Was that Castiel?" you ask again. "You saw him, right?"

"Yeah, I saw him."

"Is he a hallucination?"

"That we both saw?"

"Maybe Purgatory did something to us," you shrug.

"Well, whatever he is, it's gone now. Come on, we should head back."

You two get inside the car and Dean wastes no time in getting back to your dad's cabin. Joanna is sleeping in her big girl bed in her room and Sam is on his laptop by the kitchen table. You still haven't wiped the shock from your face because if Castiel is out, then how the hell did he get out?

"Hey," Sam greets when he sees you two.

"Hi."

"You two look like you've s—well, I was gonna say, 'You two look like you've seen a ghost', but you'd probably be stoked. Uh, you two okay?"

You and Dean make eye contact, and you both silently agree that you shouldn't tell Sam this. You couldn't find Castiel, and it would only get his hopes up if he heard of news that the angel is back.

"Yeah, we're cool. What's up?"

"Well, this kid went missing from preschool," Sam says, talking about what he found on his laptop. "At the same time he vanished, a surprise tornado hit and lasted maybe twenty seconds, then, uh... shazam! Back to perfect weather."

"That sounds weird," you shrug and take a seat at the table.

"Well, similar wackiness has happened over the past few weeks in other places. In Tulsa, a bus driver vanishes and a river gets overrun with frogs. In New Mexico, a mailman disappears and the earth splits open."

"So, you're thinking demons?" Dean asks.

"Yeah, possibly, but this stuff was major. These folks have nothing in common--no religious affiliations, different hometowns, and of all ages. Why would demons want them?"

"Why do demons want anything? We'll head out in the morning."

Morning comes faster than you hoped it would. You had to go out and get a portable toddler bed so that Joanna doesn't have to use the sofa bed or a crib when she goes to bed. You're trying to get her to learn how to use those beds so you can use her crib for one of the twins. You'll have to go out shopping for more supplies, but this time, you want to do this with Dean. Last time, he was with Lisa when you went shopping, and you don't want him missing out on this.

"You know, we should be on the road already," Dean sighs.

"Dean, this is important. Joanna needs to like what she's sleeping in. Plus, I figure we could get a few things for the twins while we're here."

"Sam isn't going to like that we're taking too long."

You look over at Sam to see him talking to a female shopper. She has her dog with him, and you chuckle with a shake of your head.

"I think Sam is going to be fine. Okay, Joanna, which one do you want? We have Anna and Elsa, Princess Ariel, My Little Pony... pick whatever one you want."

"Spongebob!" she squeals and runs over to the boys' section.

"You want that one?"

"Yeah."

"Alright, the princess has spoken."

You grab the travel toddler bed and place it in the cart before turning to Dean. He is looking at the small clothes for newborns, and you walk over to him to see what he has in his hands. He's holding the tiny socks and shoes with such emotion in his eyes, and you can't help but get tears of your own.

"Soon, we're going to hear those little feet run down the hall to us," you whisper.

"Can we get them?" he asks.

"Of course, we can. We can get whatever we want."

You and Dean browse the aisles for baby things, and before you know it, you have a whole cart full of things.

"Really? We did not come here to shop for baby things," Sam says when he finally catches up to you two.

"But they're on sale, and they're so cute," you grin and hold up the clothes you found.

"If we leave now, we'll make it there right before dusk."

"He's right. Joanna, we're leaving. Grab mommy's hand."

She runs up to you and grabs your hand, and all four of you head to the cash register to pay for your things. Thankfully everything fits in the trunk of the car, and you're on the road before you know it. The recent person to go missing is Aaron Weber, a five-year-old. He was spending time with his babysitter when he disappeared right before her eyes. Since she was the last person to see him alive, then you're going to talk to the young woman instead of his parents.

Sam was right, it's almost dusk by the time you get to her house.

You walk up to the door in your FBI clothing and knock, waiting for the babysitter to answer. When she does, she looks a little shaken up. She opens her front door, but leaves the glass pane door shut because she's scared. You hold your FBI badge up for her to see, and she sighs and opens the glass door.

"Mrs. Hagar? Agents Roth, Hunts, and Malloy. We want to speak to you about Aaron Webber's abduction."

"Like I told the police, one minute I was taking Aaron to get cleaned up, and the next minute... I woke up in a park three blocks away."

"You have no memory of what happened?" you ask.

"No. He was just gone."

"Can you think of any reason why somebody would want to harm him? Any enemies?" Dean asks, shifting his daughter in his arms since you can't carry her.

"Enemies? He's five."

You know she's not a demon because you would have seen a black shadow around her body, and it's not there. You nudge Sam's arm and shake your head ever so softly.

"Now, when you woke up on the floor, were there any signs of struggle?" you ask.

"No."

"Anything smell like sulfur?"

"How did you know that?" she gasps.

"Lucky guess. Thanks for your time."

The young woman closes the door, and you three turn to head back to the car.

"She isn't a demon. I would have known the second I saw her, but I'm willing to bet a demon got a hold of Aaron."

"We should head back to the motel. It's getting late, and she's getting sleepy," Dean says, kissing the top of his daughter's head.

"Okay, sweetheart, you need to go to bed," you whisper.

"Why you quiet?" she asks a bit too loudly.

"Because your uncle Sammy is sleeping," you point out the giant passed out on his bed.

You take the scratchy sofa blanket and pull it up to her chin, kissing her on the forehead. You didn't have time to set up the toddler bed, so the sofa bed will have to do right now. You're in the room with her, so you'll be okay knowing she won't fall off if you're in the room. The twins like to wake you up in the middle of the night anyway, so you can check on her. Plus, you have your magic to protect her.

"Babies?" she asks, putting her hand out towards your stomach.

"You're worried about your brother and sister?"

"Yeah."

"They're going to come soon, baby. Feel this," you whisper.

You grab her tiny hand and place it on the part where Maryann is. She loves being awake at night. Maryann feels her sister's hand and kicks it, and Joanna's smile lights up the room.

"Bedtime story, please."

"Okay, well, there once was this angel from Heaven. He loved helping all the little girls and boys to get better when they're sick or sad. He would play with them and be friends with them so they wouldn't feel so alone. He would protect them. If you go to sleep, this angel will visit you in your dreams. He'll protect you. You want that, don't you?"

"Yeah."

"Yeah. Good to sleep, baby."

You lean over and kiss her cheek, tucking her in once more. She turns to her side and almost instantly goes to sleep. You get up and turn to Dean who is staring at you. There is no way he didn't hear you with how tiny this room is. The lights are out, but the lightning outside is enough to light up the room even with the curtains closed.

You walk over to the bed and get underneath the covers, snuggling up to Dean's side. He has Sam's laptop on his lap reading about the missing people in the area. Dean wraps an arm around you and kisses the top of your head, not yet sleepy enough to go to bed. You want to go to bed, but the lightning is too strong to keep the room dark enough for you to fall asleep. You open your eyes and look out the window only to see Castiel standing outside in the rain.

Wow... Tumblr

Ain’t been on here for a WHILE. But I finally finished watching Supernatural last night and I have been an emotional wreck since, and I thought about Tumblr because this is where I used to get all my gifs and such from. I may have to make my page dedicated to Supernatural again.

Anyway, my life the past four years.. I finally moved out of my mom’s house almost 3 years ago. I’ve been living on my own since 2020. 2020 was a difficult time for me like it was for many. I had everything lined up for my move and then Covid happened and things went downhill very quickly. I couldn’t pay any of my bills and almost got evicted and became homeless. If not for the graces and generosity of others I would be living on the streets. Not a great way to start a life on my own, 950 miles from anywhere familiar. I’ve gained and lost many friends over the past few years, and I will be turning 33 in March.

Not sure if anyone remembers me or if those who I followed religiously are still around or friends I made on here are still present. But damn.. I missed y’all.

I am in process of writing my own book series now and have a goal to at least finish the first book by the end of the year. It’s about a fictional famous musician named Cliff Drakonas and whose best friend’s FC is Jensen Ackles, and that was before I had planned to finish Supernatural.. I held it off for a long time and I must say I am pretty disappointed in Dean’s death. It was such an anti-climactic way for him to die after his life’s work. I am happy that most everybody made it to Heaven, and it’s implied Cas became Jack’s right hand, possibly even an Archangel. I don’t know what new fandoms are out there anymore as I don’t have access to cable anymore, nor do I have a lot of time to watch shows like I used to. I have a full-time job now that’s third shift and pays very well and has great job security with lots of OT when it’s needed. I have a cat who I come home to every day. I am also a godparent now. I am still single and living on my own, which is very difficult in today’s world, but I am proud of where I am in life now.

I haven’t RPed for a while either, but I am ready to get back into that on my RP site I co-own.

Now with Supernatural over, I really have no idea what show to watch next or what to do with my life anymore lol. Supernatural was such a special show to me as it was for all the fans and I don’t think anything will ever come close to it, nor will anything ever fill the void of it not being there anymore. For now, Dean, Sam, Cas, Crowley, and everyone else will live on in my RPs, my Discord username (Castiel#1628), and my heart, as I’m sure it will live on in many people’s hearts.

I am 100% emotionally compromised right now, over a show lol. Geeze... Cried like a little baby earlier today when Carry On was stuck in my head.

Summary- You left one stormy night hiding a secret after Hayley talked to you leaving both Elijah and Rebekah heart broken looking for you. You were now with two hunter brothers that saved you from a nest of vampires.

'They will never believe you. They won't accept it like they did Hope.'

Hayley's words rang in your head as you quickly packed, tears fell from your eyes. It hurt, the thought of leaving Rebekah and Elijah but Hayley was so sure in what she told you.

'You saw how Klaus reacted when I was pregnant with Hope. Whose to say they would be just as understanding?'

You didn't know where you could go, you couldn't return to Mystic Falls as you left behind your friends for Rebekah and Elijah. You went to New Orleans with them finding hard to live without the Originals.

When you stared dating the two Originals when they both showed interest in you, the orphan girl that Zach Salvatore took in. Elijah had informed you that it wasn't the first time the siblings shared lovers. You knew even if you went back to Mystic Falls that would be the first place they'll look.

"Lebanon, Kansas."

When the Mikaelsons came home, Rebekah rushed up to you as Elijah groaned tired sinking into the couch waiting for Rebekah to come down with you.

"Y/N is gone!" Elijah sat up all tiredness he felt went away as he joined Klaus and Kol who was looking up at Rebekah.

"Are you sure she didn't go out with Camille and Davina?"

"No Kol....her clothes are gone as if she packed up." Rebekah said as Elijah rushed up to your bedroom frowning as Hayley walked in carrying Hope on her hip.

"What's going on?"

"Y/N is gone." Klaus answered her as he and Kol watched her closely as they knew Hayley was in love with Elijah and knew how she felt about you.

"Oh yeah, she said something about a trip with old friends." Hayley said lying smoothly as Elijah frowned looking at Hayley.

"Impossible. Y/N always tells me and Rebekah if she has plans."

"Elijah, the last time she ran off like this was when her brothers learned of the relationship."

"Meaning something is wrong and she believes we wouldn't understand." Elijah said frowning as worry racked his body and Rebekah hugged Elijah hoping you were okay. Kol called Davina and Freya to come do a locater spell to find you.

A year passed since you left New Orleans and now settled with two hunters and their Angel after saving you from a nest of vampires. You missed your vampire lovers but Hayley's words would rang in your head everytime you thought of calling or going back.

"Y/N, Erik. We're home!" You heard Dean call out and you picked up the baby boy walking out smiling at Sam and Dean. Erik squealed seeing Sam reaching for the hunter who was happy to take the boy.

"Hey guys. Where's Cas?"

"Right here." Castiel said smiling at you as you hugged him. Castiel had been a huge help with Erik which Dean found to be adorably disgusting.

"How was the hunt?"

"Went by smoothly. On the way back we picked up on a new case in New Orleans." Dean said tossing Erik in the air making the baby laugh.

"Oh?" You said quietly you told the brothers about your past as to not hide anything. And to give you peace of mind they promised no big hunts in New Orleans unless needed.

"Look we know you said no hunts in New Orleans but a group of demons are up to something there."

"So Dean and I thought it would be good if you and Erik come with us. Get you both out of the bunker while we take out the demons."

"I don't know....."

"Come on. You can spoil Erik and the little guy can get some time out in the sun and fresh air."

"Okay. That sounds nice." You said giving in their puppy dog faces.

"I got dinner done by the way." You say getting cheers from Dean as Sam shook his head smiling.

The impala drove into New Orleans and you felt a bit of heart ache as the car stopped. You got out putting Erik in a baby carrier as Sam and Dean got out.

"We are going to go check out the crime scene. Here, enjoy the city we be back later to go out for dinner." Dean tells you as you nodded taking the money then watched the brothers drive off.

You walked around going to different shops as Erik babble holding your finger. A familiar face caught your attention and swallowed seeing it was Davina who smiled brightly seeing you as she jogged over.

"Y/N!? Where have you been? Rebekah and Elijah has been looking all over for you."

"Places.....humm." You said as you were unsure what to say as her eyes fell on the baby boy that looked awful like Elijah. Erik babble getting your attention as he looked at the new person.

"Y/N can you come with me?"

"De, I don't...."

"Please. I won't take you to the Abattoir. I just need to know something." Davina says as you nodded. You found yourself in Vincent's place having Erik standing in your lap bouncing. Erik was unbothered by Davina poking his finger with a needle to get his blood.

"Erik is Elijah's son."

"But how Vincent? Non of the witches did a spell for it nor did Freya." Davina tells Vincent who looked to you as you swallowed as they walked over.

"Y/N, do you know how you became pregnant?"

"No I don't....I didn't go to any witches nor did I go to Freya." You tell Vincent as Erik sat in your lap kicking his legs smiling.

"So that's why you left because of your pregnancy?"

"Yes. I'm sorry for causing trouble but I need to get going now." You say standing grabbing your bag rushing out the door as Vincent and Davina called your name.

"Y/N?" Kol whispered as you brushed pass him and Klaus both watching you hurrying away as Davina rushed out frowning seeing that you were gone.

"Davina?"

"We need to tell you something." Davina tells Klaus and Kol with a frown. You knew this was a bad idea but couldn't blame Sam and Dean as the brothers wanted what was best for you as you headed for the diner you all would meet up at.

"She had Elijah's son?!" Klaus said after calling an emergency family meeting as Vincent explained what was going on. Elijah sat in shock with Rebekah who was rubbing his hand.

"Y/N didn't tell us why?"

"That she didn't tell us." Davina says sighing as she recalls how nervous you were. Elijah stood fixing his suit jacket with unreadable look.

"Then let's find her and bring her home."

You sat in the diner with Sam and Dean talking and laughing as Dean was telling you what happened on the hunt. You were rubbing Erik's back as he slept with it being late.

"So you ran into an old friend?"

"Yeah....Davina and she most likely told everyone about Erik." You say softly looking down as Sam who was sitting next to you rubbing your back.

"Are you sure they wouldn't accept Erik? From what you told me and Sammy, Elijah and Rebekah loves you something fierce."

"Come on Dean. Hayley had a point, how would I explain that I was pregnant? They could accept Hope because they could explain it but Erik?"

"Yeah but you can find out how." Sam says taking a bite out of his salad as you blinked looking at him.

"How?"

You rocked Erik as he whimpered uncomfortable with being at a crossroads. Sam and Dean thought summoning Crowley to explain how you fell pregnant would help and of course Castiel stayed close to you and Erik not trusting demon.

"Hello moose and squirrel. Oh you brought the little rabbit." Crowley said smirking then it was wiped off his face when his eyes landed on Erik.

"You bought an Original's child with you? Are you kidding me?!" Crowley growled looking at the hunters with narrowed eyes.

"You know about Erik?"

"Yes I know about the boy! As any smart supernatural being would." Crowley says looking around nervous which made the brothers look at one another as it wasn't everyday the demon King was nervous.

"You okay there Crowley?"

"No I am not Winchester. You have both the mate of two Originals and his son so understandably I am on edge."

"Crowley. They are just vampires." Dean says as the look on Crowley's face was they hadn't seen before.

"They aren't just vampires Winchester. They could kill me without blinking these aren't like the ones you kill. They are one of the most feared beings."

"Are you serious?"

"Every. When we all heard that the son of Elijah Mikaelson had been born. Everyone knew to stay clear." Crowley said as you stepped forward after passing Erik to Castiel.

"Do you know how it was possible for me to get pregnant?"

"From my understanding there was a powerful witch that cast a spell then was killed. That is all I know." Crowley said disappearing leaving you all a bit confused.

Next morning Sam and Dean went out to see Benny who was out in the bayou asking if you wanted to join but you declined. You were walking with Erik in his baby carrier strapped to your chest as you walked though a witch's market.

"I found her Elijah." Marcel said after calling the Original when he saw you walking with bags in your hand of things for Erik.

"There she is." Rebekah breathed staring as you were looking at artists that were painting or drawing as Erik babbled smiling.

"There is your son Elijah." Klaus says as Elijah stared at the toddler strapped to you then to you. Both Rebekah and Elijah noted you had cut your hair and still had a bit of baby weight but you were still breathing taking beautiful to them.

They growled seeing a man show up next to you and how you smiled brightly at him and how the boy also smiled brightly at the man. The three Originals listen in on your conversation.

"You have bought a lot of things for Erik."

"Only the best for this little guy Cas." You tell Castiel as Erik let out an excited squeal making you look to see what he was staring at the got him all worked up. You stopped hold your breath seeing Elijah and Rebekah as both stared back.

"It seems he knows who his father is." Castiel commented as Erik was squealing reaching for the suit wearing Original.

"Yeah it seems so." You say swallowing watching they walking up to you. You had many emotions swirl in you and your heart began to ache seeing the soft look in their eyes.

You were soon back in the Abattoir holding Erik in your lap even though the boy was reaching for his father. It was just you, Rebekah and Elijah in the den as both Klaus and Kol let you three talk it out.

"Why did you run from us?" Rebekah asked she wasn't angry instead she sounded hurt, hurt that you didn't trust then enough to tell them about your pregnancy.

"Hayley said you wouldn't be as understanding as you were with her." You say softly looking away from them as in a flash Elijah was in front of you. Erik touched Elijah's face as Rebekah came sitting next to you.

"You are our lover, our beloved. Of course we would have understood. Elijah and I love you so deeply that we would die for you."

"Rebekah is right. We tore up the city looking for you." Elijah says grabbing Erik's hands smiling softly as the boy squealed putting his mouth on Elijah's hand.

"I sorry....I just...scared and Hayley told me all these things. I didn't mean to cause trouble." You said tearing up as Elijah gently took Erik and Rebekah wrapped you up in her arms.

"Shhh love. We weren't angry with you." Rebekah says her tone gentle as you sniffled feeling her kiss your head. Elijah looked at Erik seeing the boy staring back babbling softly.

"You'll be sure to visit right?" Dean asked hugging you after dropping your things off while Elijah was watching with Rebekah who was holding Erik.

"Yeah of course Dean. Thank you for everything."

"We're going to miss you and Erik." Sam says as you smiled hugging the tall hunter.

"If you both miss me too much just come to visit." You say as they nodded smiling and drove off. You turned seeing your lovers and son smiling you walked up as Elijah put an arm around you.

"No more running?"

"No more running." You promised as Elijah and Rebekah took you inside listening to Erik babble.

Y/N was pissed after having gotten off the phone with her brothers. Y/N had been in New Orleans for two weeks going on three Y/N was healed so Dean wanted her to come back to the bunker. Since finding out about the prophecy, Dean's thought locking his big sister in the bunker was a great idea to keep her from getting pregnant while Castiel had informed him that Heaven will stop at nothing to be sure she have the child.

"Still nothing?" Elijah asked looking her over find her just gorgeous dressed in sleep shorts one of his botton up her reddish brown hair up in a messy bun with reading glasses on her nose.

"It was just Dean calling again. As for news on the baby front I have found nothing so far but I'll find something as your library is bigger than the bunker's."

"Dean wants you back home?" Elijah asked taking his suit jacket off then sliding behind her on the floor. Y/N smiled leaning back against his chest kissing the under side of his jaw.

"More like lock me away. But I am comfortable here....safe besides I have no problem having the kid as much as Dean is."

"Why are you comfortable having the baby?" Elijah couldn't help ask resting his chin on her shoulder as Y/N laced her fingers with his only doing that when she was going to remembering painful memory.

"A sense of normalcy.... you know how rough John trained me. Maybe I just want out.....to come back to you." Y/N whispered her heart aching as Elijah pulled her close gently grabbing her chin tilting her head back kissing her softly.

"I'll be your sense of normalcy, love." Elijah said softly as tears filled her eyes making her turn and hug him burying her face in his neck. Next few days Y/N was digging through books as Freya and Davina used magic to try and help.

"Where are you keeping her you bloodsucker!" Y/N heard Dean yell making her rush down stairs to find Dean pointing a gun at Elijah who was way too calm about the whole thing while Sam was watching Klaus and Kol closely.

"I am not holding Y/N against her will."

"For Chuck's sake Dean!" Y/N shouted coming down the stairs surprising Sam and Dean with how okay she looked. Elijah brighten up see his lady and finding attractive with her being angry while dressed in his shirt.

"Y/N?! Why are you still here?"

"Looking for answers about this prophecy. Now stop threatening Elijah."

"Elijah? Oh this is that Elijah." Sam said as Y/N nodded confusing Dean while Elijah felt his heart swell with joy that she talked about him. Y/N had only told Sam about Elijah not Dean as she knew how her little brother would act.

"Look we agreed to keep you in the bunker."

"No Dean, you agreed to keep me in the bunker. I didn't agree to a damn thing." Y/N said annoyed as Elijah stepped up behind her rubbing her shoulders.

"Y/N! We got something!" Davina said and Y/N was quick up the stairs with the others following.

"Is it?"

"We tried many things but Davina though of trying a spell mixing your blood with every old supernatural in New Orleans to work off that and well...." Freya trailed of as Y/N raised an eyebrow while Elijah moved next to her still hating the idea of her be touched by another.

"Elijah is the father of the child." Davina said just getting it out and everyone in the room was surprised. Elijah gently took Y/N's hand making her look at him and she blushed brightly as he kissed her knuckles with an under readable look in his mocha eyes.

"Y/N, you can't have the kid." Dean said making her look at Dean with her arms crossed.

"Why not?"

"Because you are a huntress and a baby isn't safe in this line of work." Dean said making her glare at her brother as anger flashed though her.

"I didn't choose this life Dean!" Y/N growled as Dean frowned looking at her as Kol moved to protect Davina just in case and Klaus doing the same with Freya.

"Sorry to break it to you but this is the family business."

"Is it? Or just the ghost John was chasing!? Dean, I had fucking died, went to Hell, killed and hunted. So why can't I be happy?"

"Y/N this isn't you. This is the prophecy speaking." Dean said as Y/N glared walking out of the room and her brothers followed and Elijah was quick to follow also.

"This is me Dean! A girl who had hopes and dreams! I never wanted this fucking life! Did John tell you I faked my death and ran off just so I could have a normal life?" Y/N said throwing her hunting journal at Dean who caught it noticing she hadn't wrote about monsters she hunted but her life with Elijah and what she wanted.

"For five years I was happy, for five years I had a normal life with Elijah, for five years I planned to have a baby with the man I love." Y/N said tears filling her eyes as Elijah stood shocked just as her brothers.

"But no John came and tore all away. So what if my child is the next Prophet! So what their father is a vampire! I just want something normal." Y/N said full on sobbing as everything up until then had broke what little self control she had. Elijah rushed to her side pulling her into his arms cooing softly and picked her up when he felt her legs shake.

"Please leave. When she is calm I'll have her call you." Elijah said his tone had been light but the dark glit in his eye told them all the needed to know and left. Elijah moved to the bed waiting for his girl to stop crying.

"So...so...sorry Eli." Y/N hiccupped as she slowly stopped crying. Elijah smiled gently peppering her wet face with kisses.

"No need baby even when crying your eyes out you are still beautiful. And I imagine you needed that." Elijah said making Y/N giggle wrapping her arms around him. Y/N moved so she was straddling his lap cupping his face kissing him deeply.

"Are you sure?" Elijah asked knowing were the kiss was going as he gripping her hips.

"Yes Eli.....making the feelings go away." Was all Elijah needed to hear as he kissed Y/N hungrily letting all his pent up feelings for her out. Y/N panted laying on Elijah as his fingers ran down her back.

"Wow....I forgot how amazing you were." Y/N muttered against his bare chest as Elijah chuckled pulling her up kissing her softly.

"And I forgot that you held such beauty." Elijah tells Y/N cupping her cheek rubbing it making her blush brightly. Y/N hit his chest while hiding her face in his neck.

"Getting shy on me now." Elijah teased her as Y/N nipped at his neck just below his ear making him growl flipping them over.

"Do that again and I won't go easy on you."

"Bring it.... Sir." Y/N teased Elijah nipping the spot just bel oil w his ear again and Elijah made sure she couldn't walk for a week both unaware of the new Mikaelson that will be coming into the world soon.

So… Since I saw once again "no one ever told Cas they loved him", I wondered if Sam and Dean heard the words "I love you" so often. I searched every "I love you" of Supernatural. Then noted who told it, to whom, and in which situations.

The 2021 Destiel Favs Survey!

The December, 2020 edition of the Destiel Fan Favorites Survey is now completed! I got 340 submissions, the most I’ve received since the first time I did the survey in 2017 (this is the fifth time). Since the inception of the survey, I’ve received 1372 surveys, reflecting the tastes of those in the fandom at the time they did the survey and completed especially with an eye toward highlighting excellent lesser-known works.

On the latest survey, 336 different authors were listed as favorites! 165 of these authors were added to the list for the first time. Across all five times I’ve given this survey, 700 authors (on the nose!) have been listed as favorites. You can view a list of all those authors, and links to their accounts, here!

On this survey, an astonishing 1,448 stories received a vote!! The majority - 891 works - were added to the collection for the first time, which is absolutely thrilling to me. 253 of the authors of these works had never been listed before, and now know - they’re someone’s favorite. How awesome is that?

Since the inception of this survey, 3,544 stories by 1,365 different authors have been named as someone’s favorite. All of these works are assembled in a collection that you can view on AO3 here! (works that aren’t on AO3 are bookmarked, as are the works of author’s who chose not to accept the invite to the collection; 210 invites are still pending from the 2021 survey; if authors don’t add their works by next weekend, I’ll bookmark them). Alternatively, you can view a list of every work in the collection, and a link to access the work if it’s still available online, here!

By far, the best way to navigate the collection is to go to the AO3 Collection and use the tags searches and filters to find works that appeal to you. That said, I know some people are curious about results. It’s outside my ability to make lists that include every work, and so I do in general compile some of the data and share those who got the “top” results (not in a ranking, only in alphabetical order). In the past, I've done an annotated "Top 20 Authors" list, where I list (in alphabetical, not ranked) order the authors who received the most votes and every work they have in the collection. I will not be doing that this year. I'll give the top 20 list, but not list all their fics - it's too much, and too many of these authors are the same as previous years. The goal of the Collection is and always has been to highlight the works of authors who don't get as much love and aren't as well known, and I've come to feel the Top 20 list doesn't serve that goal effectively. As such, I will instead be doing a "Rookies of the Year" list, listing 10 authors who have not been on the top 20 list previously, and a "Top New Stories" list, with the 10 most popular stories added to the collection this year.

Thee Babiesnatural Post

Wherein I propose how we could give Dean as many kids as narratively possible. Inspired by a slurry of other posts about things like baby!Jack and baby! Amara this isnt supposed to make narrative sense beyond suspension of disbelief and I refuse to take criticism please consider my URL for my stance on these things. Dabb didn’t do the reading but I did.

It’s long so it’s under the cut

So it starts with Bobby John the shapeshifter baby and like for whatever reason the alpha shifter doesn’t come or the kill him or whatever and the Campbells are just rubbing Dean the wrong way and the baby has already kind of imprinted on him so Dean realizes that he can’t like drop the kid off an orphanage but also he doesn’t trust most people who know about the supernatural to take care of him. He also thinks about his own childhood and the parts that sucked (moving constantly, j*hn) and the parts that didn’t (time spent at Bobby’s (and other peoples places like pastor Jim but he’s dead so)) and also how in s6 they’ve been kind of based out of Bobby’s half the time anyways at that point so they take the baby there and Bobby is delighted to have a namesake even if he’s initially doubtful. But he’s not gonna hurt deans kid and BJ is a baby. It’s awful to baby proof his house bc books and weapons and for a child that can’t touch silver but they manage a few rooms.

Also it creates a s6 Dean going back and forth between his hunting family including the baby and his civilian family of Lisa and Ben and it’s like a parallel to J*hn and Adam Milligan

Also Claire gets retrieved sooner bc Cas helps with the baby like a time or two and makes some comment about how his vessel had a child and they’re like oh yeah Claire and end up checking in on her situation sooner esp bc Dean is already feeling guilty about Ben so like they get Claire in her early teens

Emma happens. A few ways this could play out 1. Like canon with teenager but Sam doesn’t kill her. Claire gets a sister her age. 2. Because she doesn’t kill her dad the Amazon magic wears off and she’s back to being a baby? 3. She dies and gets found in purgatory

Bobby’s house burning is that much worse bc the baby was there too but Bobby and him both survived it. Dean feels bad turning into his father dragging kids around on the road.

Purgatory. Either finding baby Emma or not. Dean has a lot of bad thoughts about this is where at least 2 of his kids are going when they die. Befriending Benny adds to his inner doubts about morality and monster hunting.

Either Sam has the kids with him and that changes the Amelia thing or he leaves them with someone they know like Jody or Garth etc.

Surface side, Benny who has raised kids, is actually helpful with baby sitting and Claire thinks he’s the coolest bc he’s a real vampire and she doesn’t have any personal trauma related to him. Benny stays surface side and comes back with Sam bc he has actual reasons to live and a support system more and also bc he suggested to Dean that if/when Emma and Bobby-John die, that’s when Benny will get killed and then he’ll take care of them in purgatory .

The bunker is great bc it’s safe and they can put roots down bc the impala is getting a little full and Dean feels guilty about motel rooms. Henry Winchester meets his great grandkids and is delighted that some of them aren’t human bc he’s a MoL

Kevin gets moved in sooner.

Crypt scene- Dean tacks on something about ‘Claire and the kids need you’ in his whole speech. Claire gets very mad about him leaving with the tablet.

When the Krissy thing happens with all those teens and the guy working with vampires Dean tries and maybe successfully convinced her to move into the bunker and go to school in Kansas

Kevin doesn’t die bc gadreel has so many other people around and like I don’t actually know how the gadreel thing would play out like this but also we need Cas to be at the gas n sip

Maybe Cas is still doing his penance thing, maybe he thinks they need more income for that many kids. Maybe they still do the gadreel thing.

Anyways

I hate to fridge a woman but

Gas n sip lady dies and has no connections (why else would she ask her questionable employee to babysit)

Castiel could hand Tanya over to the authorities but also they still have a bunch of baby supplies and really what if angels come after her like they did her mother? Dean just takes one look at Tanya’s face and one look at Cas’s face and says fine and they have a new baby. (tanya post that loosely inspired this)

This is where plot gets tricky bc I haven’t fully seen past season 9 and a lot of that uhh

Well Abaddon is still a problem and Cas is human and now busy with the new baby so Dean makes the choice to work with Crowley and get the Mark of Cain bc he’s extremely worried about Abaddon coming after his brood.

The kids get sent to Jody’s or Garth’s or just out when the Demon Dean thing happens and like he wouldn’t have hurt them bc isn’t that his line in the sand or whatever my knowledge is vague. But the prisoner scene still happens bc it’s Fun and the Cas and Collette parallel is even heavier bc they’re literally coparents

This is where I can’t specify plot any further

Amara doesn’t magically age but like that other post says Dean feels guilty about her so he takes care of her

Baby Jack bc Jack sees Castiel’s knowledge of Dean with his kids including several nonhuman ones and Jack decided it’s safe enough to be born a baby

This can be widower arc too and Dean is trying not to be his father and won’t let the other kids help bc that’s what he was forced to do but also he’s too exhausted to do anything besides take care of the newborn so Sam and Benny etc are picking up the slack with the other kids which can still be a source of conflict or whatever

Uh Magda moves in with them bc Sam is like if you can bring home stray children I can bring home stray children

Mary has a wild time catching up to life with her babies middle aged and raising monster kids but she adapts

Lebanon is a fun episode bc J*hn is awful and points a gun at Emma bc she flashed her eyes at him and this time it’s Sam who saves her. Something something J*hn says something awful about what he should have done to Sam to stop Dean from thinking monster kids can be saved or smth
