Foolish is already attached to Jeffery Scooby.
and he doesn't like that.
long ramble i'm not sure it'll make sense but i have brainrott and the fact foolish cares so deeply about things but is SCARED of how much he cares fascinates me. yes this is going to touch on the empreg alien chest buster things.
so let's go over the background: foolish is the type of person who will call the aliens he gave birth to his children, but will kill them if they hurt anyone soon after giving birth. who calls roier and cellbit his sons and says he'll always be there if they want. he found out arin didn't know anything and agreed to be his parent. YESTERDAY (10/15) he was debating on if he could call bagi daughter or not. don't even get me started on leo and how he dotes on her.
and then we have history with mini mes. DSMP days the first thing he said he wanted on the server was a "mini me," a son, a "little foolish jr." during his presidential campaign he was adovating for getting mini me's who could help him build. i think he's even called leo a mini-me when she's worn the foolish head.
and then the fact he's said every single totem is alive. every single one. and he feels physical pain when they die. everyone else sees them as lifeless statues but he doesn't. what are totems but mini versions of him giving their lives for someone else? as such he's vowed to never use totems. has asked bad to use them less.
that's the BACKSTORY of this analysis. now we're going get into foolish's fear of attachment.
foolish has always been cautious of attachments. in people but even more so with things such as pets and npcs. he was scared to hold foolish jr because he was so scared of him dying. the first couple of weeks he said it was ok if foolish jr died because hecould a replacement!! but he didn't want to risk it. (he didn't want him to die, but he had accepted it was a possiblity). then he got finley and jr and a back up. a just-in-case kid.
better people than me have analyized his relationship with jaiden and how he set out to use her. he didn't want to get attached to her. but he did. he did get attached and now she's the person he relys on most. the person he cares about most. "anyone but jaiden." he said to bad.
it's really hard not to view all this from an immortal route but look at what happened when he did get attached to people on the qsmp. they left him. first arin, then vegetta, now leo. or they've been used against him by people on the island. (forever attacking leo. mike pretending to kill leo. maximus and pierre saying they would kill vegetta and leo. hell even cucurucho used mr. mustard against him.) it has been pounded into his head that attachments are BAD. attachments = weakness. weakness that other people can use against him. and he KNOWS as a person playing all sides, people aren't going to see it his way and will want to hurt him.
so he can't show weakness. can't show his emotions. can't get attached. has to laugh when people accuse him of being unfeeling. play it up so people don't look too closely. and when people do see him cracking what does he do? he runs. he physically flees from showing emotions. from showing vulnerability. from showing weakness. don't get me wrong his happy mask and avoidance of all things leo is due to a BUNCH of things not just his fear of attachments. but that's not what this is about.
so foolish took the egg from the federation building and the first thing he did was go to his safe space. a place where only thoses he allows can enter and only he can place and break blocks. the capy kingdom. foolish was arguably the person most excited to get a mini him but he waits. he talks to his friends first.
he takes his friends to the village and hatches the baby there. calling it a baby and his son the whole time. he gives the girls permission to leave their minis in the village because this is a place where they'll be guaranteed safe.
let's look at the events leading to foolish saying he wants a name change for Jeffery. panicking when jeffery wasn't in his sight, worrying when jeffery got too close to the edge, (discovering jeffery can take damage but regains health), philza and wilbur getting close to the capy kingdom. paranoia that philza and wilbur could be "hunting", hiding jeffery in the attic and telling everyone to crouch if they get too close. mouse pushing jeffery towards the edge. jaiden seemed like she was going to get mad at BALLS??????? getting hurt.
it's only AFTER ALL THAT he says Jeffery isn't his son. that he wants to change jeffery's name. it's too personal. he doesn't want this to be a son. (he can't allow himself to consider it a son. it's too fragile. it WILL die. he knows this. someone will kill it. better kill any attachment now.) so he stresses about it. how do you give it a name that doesn't feel personal? how do you give something idenity without getting attached? you can't.
i think that's what foolish realized and why he was getting so stressed about picking a new name. he wanted to change it to something that would distance himself from it but by giving it a name he's already attaching himself to it and he hates that.
Foolish: at first i was happy with jeffery but when jeffery dies i don't want it to be like: "oh no jeffery!" i want it to be like: [stiff emotionless voice] "we lost KELP. zero zero one." mouse: what are you- what?! ... you want- you just wannna have an army of numbers? foolish: UH. UH YEAH. that way i can get away- cause then i'll mouse: (punches him) you're internalizing your trauma of losing your first child! foolish: wait! nono i don't think so! i think it's just- all the girls: you are foolish: it's-more-like not lost, it's-more-of-like-still-around and it's oneofthosewhere it's like- i-don't-wanna-replace-it-with- mouse: that's why you don't want to connect to anymore of them! foolish: oh sh!t. maybe you're right. .... ANYWAYS.
now let's at foolish's actions and words before and after the name change. foolish repeating over and over "no not my son. just a number." saying son and child and then flinching away from it and correcting it. "would i do this if i cared?!" but at the same time he's telling the girls not to take the minis anywhere until they know it's safe. he's becoming nervous when felps implies he's going to kill Scooby. he's pushing ? away from any danger. whispering to it: "hi! i'm you great-granpa-granma." panicking when pac tried to push it into the magma block. and then changing his attitude when cellbit started talking about torturing it. being so excited to do tasks and WANTING to do tasks so badly and not wanting to wait. making sure scooby is safe before logging out. loging in at the end of his stream just to do tasks. "did jeffery just die?!" scolding it when it suffocates.
all together it paints a picture not where foolish doesn't care, but one where he already cares and is trying to kill that attachment before Scooby dies.

Storytelling Analysis (I guess?) I shared this thought with Dinbo Server but thought why not elaborate further? Personally, I think this frame is the moment Bo-Katan realized Din is her ride-or-die (or even a crush). They were specifically arguing about going to the mines, where her stance was that it was just a waste of time and they should get back. However, Din insists on going there without her. What Bo does? A total 180 turn saying she will take him there.
Tumblr media
So Bo gives him a trip not only to the mines but also to her own past as a Mandalorian Princess. Specifically mentioning her father, for the first time ever, something she hasn't done in The Clone Wars or even Rebels, where she has been treated with all the honors her Clan once had, as they referred to her "Lady Bo-Katan Kryze" when brief history facts were dropped at unaware Ezra.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
DO YOU SEE WHO LOOKS AT HER WHEN SHE MENTIONS HER FATHER LOOKING AT HER PROUDLY? All I'm gonna say is that Cinematic Design regarding storytelling this season is INSANE. Each frame, move, pose, and EVERYTHING has its purpose in the further symbolism of how things develop.
Later in this scene, Bo is really sarcastic about the whole ceremony referring to it as "Such a heart-warming spectacle", which Din mistakenly takes as her mocking her father.
Tumblr media
We all know what happens next, but something always felt odd about it to me.
Tumblr media
The thing is... Bo barely said anything, just that he made her take The Creed she later broke. So where does the "interesting" part comes from? Of course, Din might be curious to meet someone who ruled Mandalore in its glory, but I think the root of it goes back to the Mandalorian culture, and what Din himself experiences:
Tumblr media
You see, the best measure to judge Bo's father is to look at her. And it's safe to say Din IS impressed by her, not only in skills but also with her personality. If he hated her and didn't care about her he would never take her to his covert. In a recent episode, they highlighted how secretive they are about their place, it was almost sacred not to reveal the location. Yet he took her there, despite her different beliefs.
So I think Din is saying that, because he admires Bo as a warrior, and she is the result of how her father raised her. It means her father was a great person Din himself could learn from. It's quite important knowing, that Din is the father to Grogu now, so how he will raise him, depends on who Grogu will become. Bo later revealed even more admiration for her father, calling him great. (Or even comparing Din to him when Grogu had his first fight.) THIS IS NOT A COINCIDENCE, BELIEVE ME.
Tumblr media
Din goes as far as showing the biggest form of respect he knows to this man who not only raised someone like Bo, but also died like a warrior.
However, the whole thing leaves Bo-Katan... puzzled?
Tumblr media
She really doesn't know what to say, how to respond, until Din leaves her behind with Grogu.
Tumblr media
OK HEAR ME OUT
I know she kinda was harsh to Grogu here, BUT it's the same kind of response someone would say if they were caught blushing. You see, I think Bo's (and maybe Din's too) emotions were SO strong Grogu could feel them in the force. He knows what's going on, and Bo was caught red-handed. Now look at this:
Tumblr media
"They loved watching the princess recite the Mandalorian tenets as her father looked on proudly." Bo definitely was touched by his devotion to the creed. It sparked something in her, and she did exchange a proud look towards Din with Grogu. The devil is in the details, Bo was now in the position her father once was, which we know of because of her previous confession. It all was in a way foreshadowed to us.
Leter, without thinking Bo jumps to save Din's life again, which led her to discover a mythosaur. This is only my opinion, but I do think the storytelling between them is written really well this season, and it may be the best relationship build-up in Star Wars live-action media in years depending on how they will go with it later.
Going as far as doing psychological parallels between Din and Bo's father, something we as humans do and look for unsubcounciouslly in our romantic interests (the reason why Daddy Issues are such a big problem if the father figure was absent/bad) means that now everything matters like I said in the beginning. Frames, moves, words... it's all part of the bigger picture. The Mandalorian Writers really do build up whatever is happening between them. It's not out of the bat, I've rewatched Season 2 to see how Bo and Din interacted there, and the natural progression of turning distrust to trust was there. They have both been thru a lot, and it really feels like together, they will be stronger.

okay but today showed just how concerning q!tubbo's behavior and attitudes are becoming, and how it's probably going to be too late until someone notices.
i'll be honest, q!tubbo has ALWAYS been reckless and willing to throw himself into dangerous situations without much thought or consideration. but something about how he does it now has been worse, i'd say.
even since coming back from purgatory, the first couple days after he first met sunny, he was actually MORE careful. i don't think he got knocked once, was always wearing armor, was always careful. except for lucky ducks, where he gave sunny all of his armor, and lied to her about having a backup set and then went in anyway, getting knocked MANY times in the process. but even that, can be looked over.
but ever since fred's funeral. man.
it is so glaringly obvious how bad it has gotten. the actual day OF the stream, q!tubbo was jumping from the side of the hole in ways that got him knocked TWICE, and sunny had to pick him up. then, later when tallulah accidentally dropped the picture she had taken, he jumped down from the top of the wall WITHOUT PULLING OUT HIS GLIDER, and then just casually went back up. when q!pierre was shooting at them, he almost involuntarily threw himself before sunny like a shield, taking all those shots.
and then we come to today. q!tubbo hasn't gotten himself any real armor other than the chestplate from lucky ducks, he misplaced his glider in one of the chests, and then proceeded to MULTIPLE TIMES, jump down into the hole and get knocked, with the simple explanation that "sunny will save me". he fought mobs a bit slower, tanking more hits. and then he jumped back down the hole again, except this time HE DIED. he hasn't died like that on the server in a while. and then, when stuck at q!pierre's base, he decided that he has to die again, and leaves a block in his inventory so his corpse remains there, and he dies again. then finally, when he is back at the factory after all that, he just goes to the chest and pulls out the glider, and when asked about it, yeah he knew it was there the whole time.
i know a lot of this is probably just coincidence but I DON'T KNOW.... with cc!tubbo confirming (and not elaborating) that q!tubbo hasn't even showered since purgatory (my guy the smell) and then all this..... the subtle arc thats being set up and played out for q!tubbo is making me nervous.

I think my biggest problem with wilbur’s post-revival arc as a whole is that it keeps setting up stakes and ideas and concepts and character dynamics, and it almost never sticks the landing. but not due to the strength of the acting or character writing, but the Bones of the script.
they go out of their way to set up Major character drama between wilbur and tubbo. having tubbo not forgive him in the first place and telling him to Earn his trust, having tubbo continue to act distrustful of him during the cookie outpost, having wilbur cause an accident that takes one of ranboo’s canon lives right in front of tubbo, and then having ranboo Die For Real while tubbo proves he’s more than willing to kill over this fact and wilbur not even being aware that it happened.
and then we finally get to see them together again and they pretend that absolutely none of this has happened. ranboo’s name doesn’t even come up.
it’s meticulously set up that tommy and ghostbur have a special relationship with each other. ghostbur watches tommy throughout exile, one of the only times we ever see him get truly Angry involves him getting angry at phil on tommy’s behalf, he’s implied to have looked after tommy’s ghost after his death, he says that he thinks his unfinished business is actually Looking After Tommy,
which is kept up By Wilbur after ghostbur’s death. tommy is the only person on the server who mourns him, and it’s specifically those words of love from tommy that reaches him in his suffering. tommy holds on to friend following ghostbur’s death (at least until friend got skepped). and then wilbur sets up that he’s going to try to give friend to ghostbur With Tommy.
and then niki and wilbur give friend to ghostbur when niki had only seen ghostbur once and didn’t actually believe he was real when she did with about absolutely no mention of tommy.
niki’s literal arc trying to murder tommy because of how angry she was at wilbur doesn’t come up when they reconcile, and neither does her down spiral into isolation and paranoia and Anger following his death. which is a Big Fucking Deal considering that’s what niki’s character has been centered around for Years at this point, for Three Seasons. this should have been the culmination of her entire arc and it just wasn’t.
it’s set up that wilbur’s apologies are often surface level, done for the sake of it rather than having to dig up real feelings, Specifically by reinforcing that fact To Tommy over and over again. wilbur shows Tommy when he lies to other people in the early parts of the arc. contradicting the things he says to the people he’s apologizing to when they’re alone in that first apology stream, or “I don’t even know how to use tnt anymore.” tommy emphasizes that he wants someone That Won’t Lie To Him during their las nevadas stream, it’s a big part of that spat between the three of them. and this is Specifically and Intentionally highlighted throughout hitting on 16. it’s made a big deal out of both through the narrative and to the Characters.
and then it’s eret who calls out wilbur for giving a shitty apology when it’s the first time they’ve spoken since the day wilbur died. when eret has spent all of that time since idolizing l’manberg and putting wilbur up on a pedestal. when wilbur Very Much So still has trauma towards eret and doesn’t actually Owe eret an apology in the first place. when eret has spent months trying to make up for what she did knowing that she’d never be able to reach the person who needed to hear it the most, until suddenly She Can and he’s right in front of her.
instead she calls him out starting with a lackluster apology and then spends the rest of the stream grilling him. some of the things she says are things that he needs to hear, but it’s like she’s saying them Because Those Are What Wilbur As A Character Needs For His Arc and not because it makes sense for her as a character or for their relationship together.
and it’s not like I’d say that any of this is Bad. it’s very rare that I watch a stream from wilbur and say that I’m not happy with the acting, even when I Don’t like what’s happening with the character writing. some of my favorite streams of all time have come from this arc, both near the beginning and now towards the end.
but it’s like you get punished if you pay attention. small details, character dynamics, set up, entire arcs get bent or twisted or ignored and for seemingly no reason. all in ways that dull the impact Of the arc. even when we Have truly excellent individual streams, there’s no Flow or Cohesion in the arc as a whole.
and as old plot threads don’t get resolved and new plot threads get made in the lead up to the end it’s become increasingly clear that this final stream Won’t be able to be that impact, that payoff to the setup, that this arc Desperately needs.
or in other words, this is the post-revival arc

One thing that will always kill me about Michael Yew's death and how Rick just... kinda dropped it?
Like yeah he brought it up recently... like twice in one book.
But we get NO closure. After Percy leaves that bridge you have nothing but context clues to piece together how him and others might feel after.
Yes,he was brought in just to die, but unlike with Lee the book prior (who doesn't even get a description) he's semi fleshed out. As much as you can a minor character in half a book.
Him being known for his attitude and his fighting with Clarisse. Yet he's the one who truly gets that things were about to get serious (with little info BTW. Annabeth mentions he hardly explained a thing so all I can think of is Percy just told them where to meet and what to bring.) He stepped back and gave the chariot, and got rightfully upset when she still refused. Yet when he explains it to Percy he doesn't sound angry anymore, the way he talks gives a more "ey, what can we do now" tone.
We see how he is in battle, he's much calmer then he was at camp. He's still got attitude but he's not picking fights with anyone. He's grinning when he runs up, and given their odds in that fight he likely was doing it to not show his siblings or the enemy he was frightened in any way. His siblings were dieing, I always assume this where they took their biggest hit. So Michael, who's been rushed into a leadership role in the middle of war, is in the biggest battle yet and losing his siblings left and right. And he keeps his head.
He's the one who tells Percy they need to retreat. Yet he doesn't question him when Percy tells them they need to hold their ground there. And Percy LITERALLY tells Annabeth she's the only one who can gather MICHAEL'S cabin in a defensive line why Percy fights the minotaur.
And Michael, known for telling Clarisse to kiss his ass in the most ages 10+ book way he can, just does a sarcastic "gee thanks" and doesn't argue.
Boy had to watch Percy flirting with Annabeth that whole first bit in middle of battle gods bless him 😭 I just know he teased Annabeth once Percy left.
But yeah, he's such a good leader for just being there a year. And when they're retreating, and Annabeth gets hurt and whisked away, he definitely saw Percy was the only one standing between Kronos' Army and his siblings + all of Manhattan. If it weren't for his idea to break the bridge (which is brilliant btw we don't see many other campers mentioning Percy's powers.) Then they would've been screwed. Reinforcements didn't come until the next day, and say Silena leaves around the same time for Clarisse, she doesn't return until the day AFTER.
Michael made a calculated decision, and why it's argued whether he could've pieced Percy have dipped in the styx or not(Hestia out right says it in front of everyone. And just watching him fight they had to have tell that he wasn't harmed as he should be) he still knew Percy couldn't hold all of them on his own.
And the reaction when Percy finds out is emotional. Him desperately searching over the bridge, his frustrated scream(which I hope is heart breaking in the show). It's emotional. Then it's intrupted by Annabeth needing help, not say that scene wasn't needed btw, just I find it very unrealistic no one even ASKED Percy about Michael. Even if they saw the end of the fight through the shield, there had to be someone going "is it true about Michael?"
CAUSE THAT'S WHAT THE DID FOR BECKENDORF AND SILENA.
I know they were more established characters, but it's just sad that Michael is kinda...forgotten.
And the thing was, his odds were purposely stacked against him.
In a rp server I'm on we were talking about how in a battle usually people take out the strongest and the healers.
Ares cabin is likely the strongest in just brute strength and determination in a fight. He didn't have to do anything for that.
The Apollo cabin ARE the healers(so are hunters but not as good considering none of them could help Annabeth.)
Jake outright states that Kronos went for their weak points, but I don't think he just means by size(after all the Apollo cabin had one the highest amount of members second to Hermes)
The Hunters were the biggest by size, but they were also at their strongest. Kronos attacked by night, Hunters took oath to the goddess of the MOON.
And very few other cabins had limitations based off day and night cycle.
Except for Apollo kids. They were weaker at night with the lack of the sun(not Will in tsats weak, just not at their highest point).
Not only that, but it would take care of the best healers. By the time Percy has to grab a Apollo kid,Will's likely the oldest(and considering Michael personally trained him Percy probably knew him in some way before hand as he likely took up as semi-head medic when Michael was too busy in battle stuff, assuming he was always the second oldest before that battle that is.) And best medic.
Kayla and Austin don't specialize in healing like Will does. We don't even really know what powers they have different to Will's. That and they were like 11, Kayla was maybe 12 but we're not sure. They likely joined camp THAT year and had hardly any medical training. And we don't know the skills of who(if any) were left after that first night.
I stand by the fact that Kronos' decision to push his focus on Williamsburg Bridge was strategically planned, that it makes Michael's death even more tragic.
I hope in the show we 1. See more of him in at least the background. 2. Get shown people actually mourning him. Obviously I'm biased to Jake cause Jake x Michael. But Katie, Silena,Annabeth??
Heck the Stolls? I can see them being close to him.
Show Clarisse(and maybe even Chris too) finding out about his death. Show how it effects Percy and the Apollo cabin. Percy looks at the Apollo cabin a good amount of times throughout the book, Show him looking over at Will rushing about and having a pained look on his face.
Also,I find it completely impossible that there was no kid at that camp who tried to bring up Michael when Percy went missing. Like "oh there goes another missing head counselor."
Then just immediately gets clonked on the head for it fjdydf
Like there was a way to bring him up in tlh, considering he went missing, and then Percy(who was the last one with him) goes missing after the war. Like you're telling me no one was comparing that? In a camp filled with gossiping teens? Mhm sure.
Anyway, thank you for coming to my Ted-Talk

Manager Miniseries
─Aoba Josai x fem!reader
─Summary: you were trying to have a relaxing afternoon playing minecraft with the team and ended up making a new friend
─Warnings: none
It's your lucky day because I was thinking of updating this miniseries soon so… 👀
9 < 10 > 11
Tumblr media
You sat on your chair, turning around a couple of times until decided that you should enter the Discord voice chat that you shared with the guys on the team, you didn't use it much, but it was fine when you all had to discuss some things about training. But today you weren't here for any of that. You clicked on the group icon, immediately being greeted by different voices.
"Are we all here?"
"I don't understand why I'm doing this."
"It will be fun Iwa-chan!"
You sighed silencing the group until you could enter the game, you had been very addicted these last few days playing Minecraft, so much so that you proposed to create a server to be able to connect with friends and play. You clicked on the logo waiting several minutes, when it was loaded you went back to Discord to let them know that they could enter the world now but you only heard screams and screams from your classmates calling you.
"(N)?"
"(Nn)? Have you forsaken us?"
"She's been online the whole time."
"Is she muted? It doesn't surprise who would want to listen to shittikawa?""
"Hey! shut up, I'll make a better house than yours and then I'll hunt you Iwa-chan!"
"That, that! Show him who's boss Oikawa."
Matsukawa's laughter was heard, encouraging the rivalry between friends.
"I don't think Iwaizumi will be defeated so easily, right?"
"I'll kill that idiot and have the best house."
"I bet on Oikawa."
"Huh? Really Makki? then I go for Iwaizumi."
"Oi don't bet on us!"
"Makki you have made a good choice! but what exactly are we betting?"
"Mmh, now that you mention it I don't know, any ideas guys?"
"Whoever loses pays for a dinner for the whole team."
Both parts agreed with the proposal that Kunimi had made, immediately reaching a deal, chaos would return to the chat if it weren't for a grunt and a blow, creating a silence, which you took advantage of to speak.
"Guys, you can join the server now."
"I'll win against Iwa-chan so that he and Mattsun pay!"
"I don't think it was a good idea to agree to join."
"Yahaba, don't be so negative, I'll help you with your house and get materials."
"Thank you (N), I really adore you."
"Could I also have some help?"
"Sure Kindaichi, I guess I'll have to help you with the main thing."
You all started with the basics, gather some wood, kill a couple of sheep, create a small house until it got dark. Right now you were playing alone without using voice chat, you were concentrating on mining until you heard an explosion followed by a message in the in-game chat.
[King_Oikawa has been blown up by a creeper]
You couldn't help but giggle as watched your companions foolishly die one after the other because of the creatures of the night.
[Makkinotfound has been killed by a zombie]
[Yahaba_pro has tried swimming in lava]
[xXKentaroXx has drowned]
[Mattsun777 exploded]
[Iwaplay has fallen from a very high place]
You came out of your house armed with a stone sword, killing some zombies and skeletons, you met the first year boys who were trying not to get killed by a mini zombie that was running around like a demon. You got into a voice chat where only the three of you were, you were trying to help them.
"Help us please, we haven't finished the house yet."
"Sure, what do you need?"
"How do you make a torch?"
"Oh, Kunimi, let me guide you while Kindaichi finishes filling that hole with this."
You tossed Kindaichi some wood, then you explain to his partner how to craft some things, Kunimi really got interested in how to build a bed while the turnip boy was trying not to get hit by arrows. After a long while and ending up helping the third year pranksters a bit as well, you muted the voice chat again. You frowned looking at the game screen where a new message had appeared, apparently no one had noticed that another person had entered the game.
[Applepie has entered]
'I forgot to put a password to the server? what if they're a hacker or something? Nah.'
[(N): hello??]
[Applepie: oh I think I got the wrong serv]
[(N): don't worry, at least you're not a hacker or something]
[(N): or so I hope…]
[Applepie: I'm not]
[Applepie: Some servers are down and I thought this would be fine, your IP was open]
[(N): well it's just a server between friends, but you can stay and play :)]
[Applepie: thanks]
[Applepie: I think I'll stay, no lag here]
[(N): feel comfortable in Seijoland]
[Applepie: I will]
[(N): maybe we could talk on discord? If you don't mind of course]
[(N): I would like to have a internet friend]
[Applepie: ok]
You practically spent the whole afternoon playing with the boy named Kenma, you both had a good time, apparently had some things in common.
"Then he left me in the tree for an hour."
"I should meet your friends, they seem interesting."
You laughed at Kenma's story, according to a very tall boy from his club, he left him on the branch of a tree to take a picture of him as if he were a kitten but forgot to come back for him.
"Your friends also seem… curious."
"Believe me, you couldn't bear to spend much time with them."
[King_Oikawa: i just finished my house]
[King_Oikawa: mattsun and Iwa will be paying the team a dinner!!]
[Mattsun777: sorry dude, i don't think so]
A 'tss' followed by an in-game explosion was heard, the characters of Kenma and you looked at each other silently wondering the same thing in their minds.
"Did they just blow up the house of that 'King Oikawa'?"
"Yeah, they're betting."
"I guess they take it very seriously."
"No one wants to pay a dinner for the entire team."
"Understandable."
You two continued to ignore the boys chatting about Oikawa's house, while you asked your online friend for help to build something like an area so they could fight for that dinner. The rest of the team seemed to be starting to understand the game more so they were exploring everything without any help from their manager.
"Kenma, are you playing again?"
A faint voice came over the call, as Kenma's character stopped.
"Don't you have to bother Lev or something?"
"No, I like to bother you." the voice was getting closer to the microphone "Are you playing with someone else?"
"Yes."
You laughed at the clear irritation of your recent friend, catching the newcomer's attention.
"Hey? Are you playing with a girl?"
"Yeah, and she's listening to you, so shut up."
"Hello! I'm Ku-"
There was a blow followed by curses, several whispers, and finally Kenma spoke again, irritation spilling over his tone.
"I'm disconnecting now, my friend is very annoying."
"Okay, see you Kenma."
"Bye (N)."
Before he could hang up you heard a scream over the line.
"Now I know her name!"
Returning to your team who were still arguing over who should pay, you decided that was enough. You went through all the houses not understanding how Mattsun and Makki had built a bunker out of diamond blocks, Kunimi and Kindaichi had accidentally burned down their house for trying to make a Nether portal, or how Kyotani was chasing Yahaba with a bucket of lava because apparently he had accidentally killed Kentaro's dog. You blinked a few times to laugh out loud hitting your desk and inadvertently joining the voice call again.
"What is (N) laughing at?"
"From your trash home Iwa-chan."
"The only garbage here is you."
[Iwaplay has killed King_Oikawa]
"Hey! That's cheating."
When your laughing fit stopped, you were able to speak correctly, still with a mocking smile on face, trying to stabilize yourself, since it began to hurt your chest from laughing so much.
"Guys, why are your houses totally blown up?"
Apparently neither Iwaizumi nor Oikawa were near their houses because just hearing what you said they screamed in surprise.
"WHAT?"
"NOO my house dude!"

“She’s dead, Scar.” He hears Grian’s voice whisper next to him. “You won.”
The words snap him out of it, not fully, but just enough to make him realize that Pearl is gone. The zombie is hitting him, but it’s such a meaningless thing in the greater scheme of things, after all the things he’s done to get here.
An exhilarated, wet laugh bubbles in his chest.
“How did the guy with no friends win?” Scar whispers. He can’t believe he’s made it this far and yet… here he is. Alone.
He climbs out of the hole where he’s just killed Pearl and makes his way to the Secret Keeper.
He hates it violently.
The entire season he’s tried so hard to make friends, but every time it’d made a villain out of him with the dumb tasks it had given him. And Scar grew tired, of course he did. So he’s embraced it now.
And isn’t that what they always want?
A show?
He has given them the show they wanted, an underdog hated by the whole server rising to the top. He has given them the show they wanted in Tango’s demise, in Etho’s futile attempt at survival, in Scott’s betrayed cries when he’d (coincidentally) sided with Pearl and the rest of the Mounders, in Gem’s protest at the unfairness of her last battle.
It’s time he gets his well deserved applause.
Scar presses the success button and the familiar whispers envelop him, except this time he thinks he can make out congratulatory words in them. His chest glows red as he receives five new hearts and a new book pops into his hands. He opens it.
Win Secret Life.
He laughs.
“I’ve won already.” He says, and presses the button once more. Maybe it’s broken.
His chest glows again. He’s on 11 hearts now. A new book. Win Secret Life.
“This isn’t funny.” His brow creases.
He presses the button again.
16 hearts.
Win Secret Life.
He burns the book.
“What are you doing?! Let me out!” He yells at the Secret Keeper, his nemesis, an enemy far worse than any of his friends could have been.
It replies.
“I’m not keeping you here.”
Scar freezes. It’s not supposed to do that. It has never communicated with them before.
“What?” He asks again. “Of course you are, why haven’t I died yet?”
“I’m not keeping you here.” It repeats.
“But- Martyn’s time ran out, Pearl died after Scott, you killed Scott, and Grian-“
“Isn’t this what you wanted? A double victory?”
The words die in Scar’s throat. The dirt under his feet turns slippery like sand. His skin warms like the sun is kissing it goodbye.
“Grian jumped…” The words come out like a whisper. “No…”
The illusion vanishes as quickly as it had come. Scar shuffles to the fail button and presses it, but nothing happens. He presses it again, punches it until his hands go bloody, but he’s still at 16 hearts.
He tears his throat apart with a blood-freezing scream.
Of course the show is not over. He might be the victor but he’s still a pawn in the games.
And the Watchers, oh they itch for a golden finale.
Scar still remembers. Deep within he carries the guilt of leaving Grian alone in the end to deal with it all. It had been such an easy way out, even though he had genuinely thought at that moment that he was doing it because Grian deserved to win. He had just been scared.
But now…
He’s tired.
He wants to go home.
His eyes gaze up at the cobblestone tower…
.
.
.
Scar wakes up in Hermitcraft, but he knows a part of him will never make it back home.

dsmp AU where everything is the same, except that Double Life mechanics apply.
So everyone has a soulmate, of course. But also golden apples are a thing and they send soulmates out of sync. They can't break the bond, but if one consumes enough golden apples their lives might not be linked anymore. So basically one of the soulmates can die without the other one dying.
But there's no way to properly cut the bond.
So, my idea for who the soulmates would be is this:
Tommy and Wilbur are soulmates. Tommy lost them their first two lives. First by being the first down in the Final Control Room and then with the duel. Later, when Wilbur is planning his death, he steals all the golden apples Dream had left for Tommy in Pogtopia in an attempt to break their bond. Of course, you can't break the bond, but it sends them enough out of sync that when Phil stabs him Tommy's hurt, but he doesn't die.
Later during the Bedrock Bros arc Tommy also gets a golden apple addiction. He doesn't think it'll have any repercussions since his soulmate is dead, but, of course, Wilbur does eventually come back to life and they're so incredibly out of sync by then that it's a real struggle for them to find a way to fit together again.
Then there's Tubbo and Ranboo. By the time Ranboo found the right server his soulmate is in he was already down to one life. Which is why after the prison he died without necessarily losing any lives previously. ('Cause I still don't know how ho16 fits in the main narrative, so I'm ignoring it).
Tubbo up until now still thought he simply didn't have a soulmate because Ranboo is a rather careful individual. So he never felt it quite so strongly. But when Ranboo shows up with his 30+ totems he kinda gets why.
Still, Tubbo lived his whole life thinking he was alone and he kinda relied heavily on Tommy as his chosen soulmate so at the very beginning, he has a hard time bonding with Ranboo. Between the stress of everything going on with exile and then Doomsday it takes time. Time and a lot of late-night talks and not talking about their respective abandonment issues.
That said, as I mentioned, Ranboo had to be very very careful with a soulmate like Tubbo, which is why by the time he ends up dying Tubbo... doesn't. Because he ate plenty of golden apples just to keep the both of them alive.
And the last ones I've actually thought about are Dream and Sapnap. So, basically, they were really close early on. And Sapnap is nothing but loyal. He followed his soulmate into every single battle. And, at the start, Dream was the same. Just as loyal right back.
But, well, we all know that Dream kinda went off the deep end at one point. He started consuming enormous amounts of golden apples as a way of cutting his bond. And Sapnap suffered a whole lot because of it of course. Because, again, the bond is still there. He still got hurt when Dream was killed. He was on the brink of death himself. But on top of that he also got the confirmation that Dream voluntarily did that to them. And that probably hurts more.
And now Sapnap is out to kill Dream. And to do so he made a deal with God. He'll die too if he kills Dream because they're synced up again. And it'll be impossible for them to be knocked out of sync this time. But, hey, to keep the server safe it's worth it.

Thoughts on Kat x Dante and Kat x Vergil
I'm suffering through major writers block recently so to try and push myself out of this I'm going to write down my thoughts and hope that they are semi-coherent.💀
I adore a good love triangle.
I see Kat/Vergil and Kat/Dante as two different ship dynamics
Kat/Vergil - right person, wrong time
Kat/Dante - soulmates (whether platonic or romantic)
I am more preferential to Kat/Dante only because we see him actually begin to care for her more than Vergil seems to over the course of the game (if you've seen my blog you know the amount of Kante propaganda I post💀)
The events of the game:
In the beginning of the game, straight off the bat, it's clear Vergil and Kat are very close or "tight" as Dante so eloquently observes😂 Kat and Vergil work as a team. Kat is indebted to Vergil because he helped her out of a tough childhood. Vergil is indebted to Kat because she acts as his right hand. Although, there aren't many scenes in the game where Kat and Vergil are in the same room (much less, hold a conversation together) but we can still assume they're a team and generally like each other. Kat's closer to Vergil than any other member of The Order. Nice, okay...
But then, through the events of the game Kat and Dante have more scenes together. They talk, they trauma bond, and even though at the beginning Dante was weary of trusting Vergil or Kat, he seems to slowly come out of his shell with Kat and trusts them both because of it.
But the siege of The Order's headquarters is really when we get to fully see the "flip":
up until this point, Vergil seemed closer to Kat than Dante was (and perhaps Kat liked Vergil more as well) but the scales have slowly been tipping, increments of weight being adding in Dante's favor.
And then Vergil leaves Kat in the server room😭
Tumblr media
the thing most striking to me about this scene imo is that Kat just seems to accept her fate. She accepts that there's no way out for her and accepts her martyrdom for Vergil's cause because Vergil had so easily accepted it too... but Dante doesn't.
He stays with her. He tells her what to do and how to appear the least threatening to the feds. He assures her that he will be back for her even if no one else is.
He shows her a kindness, a thoughtfulness and it humanizes him in this scene.
Dante has to argue with Vergil to go back and save Kat. Dante changes their whole plan because he doesn't want to let this one human girl die. A far cry from the beginning of the game where he brushed them off and said he "preferred to work alone"...
After all this, even after Vergil reveals his plan to rule over the humans, Vergil still seems surprised (or regretful?) that Kat doesn't back him up, but now Kat knows that she can't support him anymore. Vergil is too far gone, too different from the man who saved her from her foster father.
I also just realized that we can see this somewhat mirrored in the framing of the cutscenes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In most of her scenes with Vergil, Kat is pushed to the back. She's out of focus and otherwise not the main draw of the scene. In fact, it's very easy to overlook her in the shadows.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Whereas in most of her scenes with Dante, Kat takes up as much space on the screen as he does. She's harder to overlook now paired with that fact that she actually has lines in her scenes with Dante. (although this may just be confirmation bias given she has so many more scenes with Dante💀 I think it's a nice parallel)
Closing thoughts, I like both pairings although I feel that the game devs planed for Dante to be endgame. I still like the idea of a love triangle between the three; Dante and Kat close after Vergil's betrayal, Vergil and Kat as old friends turned sour (past crushes? the one who got away possibly?), and Dante and Vergil being brothers but also vying for Kat's attention (blood is thicker than water).
Anyways thanks for reading (or skimming) take this as a treat:

Maturity is when you're able to realize that Walter's decision in Elia's smart building was made to save Toby, not sacrifice him. As the room was closed and filled with smoke. Going along with Toby's plan would have exhausted Toby, until he fainted of smoke inhaleation. Damaging the servers and rendering the room locked with no way of access. Causing him to die along with all the people in the building. When you're able to realize that Walter should have gotten a thank you for his suicidal efforts to save those people. Not backlash.
Maturity is when you're able to realize that hiding the secret marriage from Toby wasn't Walter's fault in any way but Happy's fault. That these kinds of things are to be told to Toby by Happy, not Walter. That she was the one who told him to hide it at all costs. That Toby was completely wrong to attack Walter. That the only reason he didn't tell him that Happy told him to keep it a secret was to protect their family. That when Walter thanks her for being a good wife it should've been the other way around. That although Toby provides her with a sense of stability and security. Walter was the one who provided her ACTUAL stability and security in her life. In fact all of their lives.
Maturity is when you're able to realize Toby is just as manipulative as Collins. That most of his advice is for an ulterior motive.
Maturity is when you're able to realize that Walter saying to Cabe that it's been a pleasure "working with him" is the same as him saying it's been a pleasure "knowing him". Especially since all he did with Cabe since he was little was work.
Maturity is when you're able to realize that Sylvester is actually bad friend and a worse brother. That in the ireland episode when Sylvester was asking Walter for a first impression of his family when he had been already connecting with them behind his back since Megan died, he was actually flaunting his connection with them infront of Walter. He was basically saying "Look Walter, your family loves me and hates you". That when Walter is outcasted and bullied by his family and neighbours Sylvester doesn't show a shred of sympathy, let alone empathy. That when Walter was being ridiculed and shamed by dozens of his own family and his own parents for trying to save their lives he should've stood up for him. That he should put in a good word for him in the year he's been connecting with them. That the scene in the end of the episode with the stone was really just to show how low Walter's standards are.
Maturity is when you're able to realize that Walter's family is actually abusive. Especially his parents. When you're able to realize how tragic the story he tells in S4E20 is, the one about his father and football. That his father only looked at him when he seemed normal. That his father was basically the same as Toby's father, Except Toby's father seemed to approve of him because he could gamble. Walter's didn't.
Maturity is when you're able to realize that the baghdad incident, as little as it's mentioned is what messed up Walter like this. That the whole "With high IQ comes low EQ" is mostly insignificant to his case.
Maturity is when you're able to realize that when Walter fired Paige at the end of S3 he didn't do it to hurt her. He did because she hurt him. Because she played with his heart. Because she lied to him about the most embarrasing event of his life. Because she watched him lay his heart out there like an idiot infront of her. And instead of talking to him about it, explaining to him that she thinks he's a great person and that she's dating Tim, or outright just breakup with Tim and date him. She instead hides it from him. That she dates Tim and excessively hugs and kisses him just to spite Walter and get a reaction out of him. That she never actually liked Tim. That she spent the last half of S3 being vindictive and cruel to him just to satisfy herself, not because she actually liked Tim or was sad he left.
Maturity is when you're able to realize the fact that Walter actually endured more bullying than Sylvester in his childhood. That while Sylvester was bullied by kids and remembers all of it because of his idetic memory. Walter was bullied both by kids, teachers who didn't like having a student smarter than him AND his family members.
Maturity is when you're able to realize Paige was a worse girlfriend than Walter was a bad boyfriend. That while Walter was trying to learn to be a better boyfriend. Paige was trying to change Walter to her liking. That she was dating Walter as she though he should be, not Walter as he is. That when Walter didn't to go to concerts and events with her in late S4 it wasn't because he liked research more than her. That wasn't being neglective. That the reason for that was because he gave all their money to Toby and Happy's treatments. That with Toby and Happy busy having a baby and Sylvester busy being Alderman, Walter was the only one left to do the work and keep broke-and indebt-Scorpion above water.
Maturity is when you're able to realise that the reason Walter cares about efficiency and business so much isn't to be an asshole. It's because he had to make his own living in a foriegn country since he was 16.
Maturity is when you're able to realize that most of the time when Walter is made out to be the bad guy he actually isn't. That Walter is actually a victim of severe mental abuse. That he endured the worst childhood and adolecence of his team. Made worse by him normalizing everything he goes through by convincing himself that it's fault because of his low EQ which makes him constantly apologize for things that aren't his fault. That Paige, Toby, Happy and Sylvester are actually an abusive group of friends to Walter

The first time Scott realized Pearl was taking this game seriously was when they’re green and she barricaded herself in the walls of his house.
It’s almost laughable, the coincidence; he remembers the way that Cleo stared at him, horrified, and he remembers the grain of relief he could see in her expression that at least Martyn had just built a horrendous house to try and get her back, not whatever Pearl must have done to muscle her way into Scott’s life. He tried to explain to Cleo that it was a slip of tongue that led to whatever strange scene she had walked into, a strange joke, even, but that was hard to get out as Pearl cackled from behind the hurried attempt at a wall she threw up behind her as she fled to a corner.
Up until then, Scott thought Pearl had gone– well, mental, frankly. He had all of the empirical evidence for it: the tower she built that loomed over the whole server, the obsessive way she spoke of a simple dog, even how she had methodically transformed herself into a spectre of the red self she had worn in a world prior, down to a red stain she rubbed into her palms religiously every night. Something had bugged him about that assumption, though, and even when he waved it away, a small niggling feeling at the back of his skull persisted.
That is, until now, when he’s staring at Pearl through a hole she had hacked through oak so she could watch the household drama that was him and Cleo, and he sees that she’s dropped some sort of act.
The high-pitched cackling and sinister curl of a smile was gone, replaced for a second by someone steely-eyed and calculating. Even though her eyes still glinted green (just like his), she narrowed her eyes slightly at the two of them, giving both cursory glances.
When they’re red, Scott will realize that, in that momentary lapse, she had already pinpointed the exact place she would later attack Cleo: the seams where her skin is (was) sewn together, a visible weak point that Cleo showed off rather than hiding behind armor. When they’re red and Pearl finds Scott on a familiar hill, he will see the blood on her hands and recall the last few messages in his communicator and see the cold determination hidden behind true mental fragmentation and realize that the most terrifying part of Pearl is that she had been far saner than anyone wanted to believe she was.
However, that’s then. This is now, and they’re green, and Pearl is cackling again, even as she tears the wall down (she does not slash into his walls, even by accident. no matter where they are, Pearl has always first and foremost been a builder, and builders do not hurt each others’ work) and scampers into the night.
“Your ex is a piece of work,” Cleo spits out.
“Why do you think she’s my ex?” he responds.
The first time Scott realizes that this was no longer a game for Pearl is when they’re freshly red and she stonily tells him she’s leaving him to join the larger group rather than seeking out Martyn and Cleo again.
“This is going to be the final day,” Scott tries to argue with her. “Who cares if they’re yellow? They won’t be for long.”
“Maybe. Maybe not.” The feeling that had been chewing on Scott all week grows slightly. “It’s safer, though. If we’re grouped together, that’s twice the damage we’d take.”
We’d be fighting each other then, he wants to shout at her. We’d be fighting each other, and isn’t that worse?
Scott remembers how Pearl had easily turned and held the blade of an axe to him at the mention of attacking Tilly (“Tilly’s my soulmate. You hurt her, I kill you.” “You’d die too, then!” “Good! I’d match her on yellow!”). He remembers how she turned the axe on Cleo and struck at her in earnest, mere minutes after revitalizing her own alliance with Martyn. When Cleo turned back to Scott, spitting vitriol, he saw the slash on her chest, neatly parallel to the seam that ran down it.
It’s when they’re sitting on the crest of a hill, staring at each other with no words left to exchange, that Scott wonders what the Watchers that Martyn once spoke so reverently (so fearfully) of would think of them. Scott, who would rather see the world broken than abide by cruel rules, and Pearl, his fated, who found two seeds of anarchy that sparkle in an abandoned chest, who decided that all the world could burn as long as she and her loved ones survive.
He wonders errantly if he counts as a loved one to her.
He hears the ghosts of the others whispering to him, and he knows she must also hear them. There can only be one. No armor, no weapons. Blood on the grass, blood in your mouths, feel the hurt you are inflicting on one another. It makes him feel ill, and in that nausea that tiny foreign feeling that he realizes in a delayed epiphany must be his link to Pearl twists in sympathetic disgust. They look at each other, the two game-breakers, and they stare in horror.
He thinks the Watchers must hate this denouement to their spectacle.
(a pearl is a gem formed from the introduction of grit in an oyster, she told him once. a pearl is something irritating, unwanted, typically discarded, that is taken and gently transformed through years of work into something far more valuable. imagine, she says, leaning back, her hands framing a star in the night sky, a tiny bit of sand washing down the ocean, not knowing that it would be covered in layers and layers of nacre.)
(nice metaphor, he said.)
(she snorted at that. i think i’d be rightfully annoyed if i was that bit of sand, she said. i’m not named after a pearl, though. technically, i’m just named for the moon.)
(and a moon reflects the glory of something far greater that burns eternally.)
Scott lets the spark fall from his hands, his triumph burning in the scream of the explosions beneath him.

#10?
10. The Dragon Ball series isn’t exactly known for being consistent with its story, its characters, and various other things. Which inconsistency irritates you the most?
I suppose GT is the one that I keep coming back to. I'm thinking about doing a liveblog of GT and Super next year, and I keep wondering how I'm going to cover GT Episode 1 without going into a long, long rant about all the plotholes involved with the Black Star Dragon Balls. The idea of defective Dragon Balls might have some merit, but what drives me nuts is how those things have supposedly just lain around for years without anyone ever mentioning them. The people who should know about them seem unaware, and the people who do know about them shouldn't be aware of them at all. But that's a discussion for another time.
Turning to Dragon Ball Super, it irks me how casually they keep abusing the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, despite the whole gimmick of a person only being able to spend no more than two years inside the thing. I assume that someone decided the rule no longer matters because of how Buu discovered you can escape through the power of screaming, but the bigger problem is that characters will spend years training in there and never seem to get much out of it. Like, the big development in the DBS manga is that Frieza recently spent a whole decade training in a HTC-like environment, so now he's presumably ultra-mega-super strong. And that's fine, that's how Dragon Ball works. But sooner or later the next bad guy will show up, and the next power-up will come along, and it'll make Black Frieza seem like a minor upgrade from Golden Frieza. And that's fine too, except it'll look really stupid that Frieza spent ten years of his life working for such small gains.
Other than that... one thing that really grinds my gears is the way fans refuse to accept that the original Dragon Ball and Z aren't all that inconsistent. A story like this is never going to be airtight, but a lot of the supposed inconsistencies are due to filler scenes produced by people who didn't know how the story was going to play out, or fan misinterpretations.
For example, I remember being on this discord server a couple of years ago, and someone was running down all these plot holes in the Cell Saga. I went through each one, explaining how they were actually pretty easy to rationalize. Why didn't Trunks kill 18 instead of fighting Semiperfect Cell? Because as much as Trunks hates the androids, he's a good man who couldn't bring himself to kill a defenseless person. Why didn't 18 blow herself up when she had the chance? Because... she didn't want to die? Why didn't Goku take the medicine when Trunks told him to? Because he told Goku to take it when he got sick, and he didn't get sick until the day of the battle. Stuff like that. But I didn't really convince anyone, because they'd rather be smug and pretend they poked all these holes in the thing.
Another example, I just saw a twitter thread of people arguing over whether Goku turned Super Saiyan because of Frieza killing Krillin or because of Frieza threatening to kill Gohan next. And it's like those things literally happened one right after the other, so I'm pretty sure it can be both. But it's not even a dialogue for some fans. They just want to pick sides so they can dunk on the other side for being "wrong".
Oh, and the whole Power Level thing. Vegeta demonstrated the futility of scouters way back in 1989-- The Z-Fighters can raise and lower their fighting power at will, so the readouts on the Scouters are useless. Vegeta destroyed his scouter as soon as he reached Namek. Ginyu stole Goku's body but couldn't replicate the same power levels that Goku had just used. Frieza claimed he had a power level of one million, but he had no technology with which to measure it, so how would he know? Goku became a Super Saiyan in spite of the testing performed on him as a baby, which predicted he would be a low-class fighter. The whole thesis of the Saiyans-Namek-Frieza arc is that you can't reduce battle power and fighting spirit to a number, and every character who tried ended up getting killed. And yet this point continues to sail over so many fans' heads.
But it is what it is, I guess.

My interpretation and theorys about tommys season 1 dsmp final!
SPOILER WARNING FOR TOMMYS "The last stream" LORE STREAM!!!!
After tommy was revived, he finally made sense of the core of dreams desire for the server, he cannot understand why dream had to do the things he did to make that happen, why simplier times had to be the way he wanted them to be or why he hurt everyone in an attempt to achieve it, but he gets the core desire of his views, just showing how compassionate tommy is despite dream having tortured and abused and killed him for the past 2 years.
Dreams sees that and imidiently tries to use it into manipulating tommy to join their side, pretending to be all simple and just wanting to be friends. Of course that is untill he realizes that he is gonna die and that it was a trap.
Tommy saying "I'm sorry" wasnt him apologizing to dream for what he did but more for that he had to kill him, bc in the end, tommy never wanted to kill anyone, but to save the server he had to.
The nuke only hit the prison, like it intended to do.
However somehow the 5 people that were in the prison woke up somewhere else. Prehaps it was still the same server, just far away from everything or maybe it was a completly new world. They all had their memory wiped, but prehaps memory can be recovered?
(Also a lil theory im case that the whole server was nuked and everything was reset)
What cdream and ccwilbur said about the server got me thinking
Cdream said "how do people just apear on the server?" And ccwilbur said "prehaps ctommy and cwilbur met on another world, parted ways but met again on the dream smp."
It makes it seem like the server just started existing at one point and one after another, people joined. That doesn't make sense tho considering certain people have memorys from befor them officially joining the server that played on the server tho? (Like ranboo, puffy, eret) or that karl can go back in time to stuff existing on the smp and also the egg existing for a long time on the server. It makes no sense!
But what if the server is a loop? What if this isnt the first time that the server existed? What if dreamXD just resets the server everytime things go bad?
It would mean everyone has amnesia, but only some are aware that they have a past they forgotten. And that would mean that while the server gets reset, its possible to regain the memories of the past loop.
I would also like to think that there is people who were/are not part of the loop bc they came from somewhere else. Techno came from somewhere, so he would have no memories of a past life he forgotten. Same goes for phil and wilbur. However, phil might be part of the cycle now considering he was on the server when it was reset. Or prehaps he is not. I'd like to belief that wilbur isn't effected by the loop since he is not on the server, so if he ever returns he would be the only one who can remember the old dream smp. Maybe also foolish keepe his memories considering he is a demi god. He just didn't interact with anyone befor beside eret so he would not know that the server gets reset. Maybe also connor bc it would be funny.
------------------------------------------
Even if I am wrong about all this, a saw a lot of takes on the ending that kinda saved it for me? Considering that tommy raged about cdream defenders in his offline chat before I think it wasn't intentional made to sympathize with cdream. Was it well executed? Not at all but again, the people on the dream smp are not writers in any way and I can see how it was hard to convey the message they wanted to give. I am already happy with alot of stuff that happened and the way ctommys character was handled. Because after all, ctommy is a compassinate person who always tries to see the best in people(we have seen that many times in people like techno or wilbur) who tries to belief there is good in everyone and that even small speeks of good are worth fighting for. No matter how much cdream hurt ctommy, he wanted to do all he could to not have to kill him in the end. Unfortunatly it was too late the moment tommy stepped into that prison.

Random Hot takes related to hockey.
Some of this applies to other sports too, but this mostly focuses on hockey. This will also relate to both the sport itself and the fanbase. Kinda long so I'll be putting it under a cut. There's also a light SA mention on take #3.
-Injuries are way WAY too glorified in this sport. Especially when it comes to potentially career-ending injuries or even life threatening injuries. -The All Star Game gets way too much damn hate. I wont elaborate further than this. -I feel like the hockey world demonizes Patrick Kane way too dang much. Sure, you can hate him for the whole cab incident and blackface crap (in fact that's valid because what the fuck even was that), but the 2015/16 allegations were false as far as I can read, and he apologized over his statements during the Kyle Beach mess (though we don't know if he or any other players were part of the coverup nor will we ever know, and tbh we might be better off not knowing). Also, I don't know where the antisemitism/choking stuff came from because the only articles I can find those on are mostly gossip/rumor articles like Deadspin, and not a single audio recording has come up of the alleged antisemitism. Not saying that Kane's a good person, because let's be honest this is an athlete we're talking about, but tbh I feel like people don't look into these things deep enough and it really shows. -I'll admit I'm kinda guilty of this one so this is kinda hypocritical (and advice to myself lol), but sexualizing players is fucking weird. For the love of Gretzky save it for your personal Tumblr accounts and your private Discord servers and maybe your fanfics too. Gushing over them is one thing, but don't fucking flat out say in public that you want to "ride him into the sunset". I'm honestly kind of horrified at how common this is. No joke I've already seen people act this way about Bedard- who's ONLY SEVENTEEN. -Likewise, we really need to stop obsessing over a player's personal life in general. Looking at you, gossip blogs. -We really need to stop with the whole "refs are blind/deaf" shit. Not even joking. -I hate Binnington too, but the amount of folks that say "I wanna see him have a mental breakdown on the ice" is... kind of gross? And while there's a possibility that he could have them, we really need to stop speculating on if he has actual mental issues or not. Let's not speculate about a person's mental health yall. -Hockey fans need to get off their high horse when it comes to other sports. As much as I myself hate to say it, no, hockey isn't automatically better than other sports just because they can withstand injury better than other players (again, something we NEED TO STOP FUCKING GLORIFYING) and because hockey players can fight. Especially considering that hockey is also fucking expensive than other sports. You can shit on soccer and basketball all you want, it doesn't change the fact that these sports are more accessible compared to hockey, where it costs money to even buy a fucking mouthguard. -Honestly if I had to choose between so called "puckbunnies", "bandwagons" and even "diehards" or casual hockey fans that gatekeep other fans, I'd rather choose to hang out with the puckbunnies and bandwagons. No, seriously. The attempts at "gatekeeping bandwagons" has just become an excuse to gatekeep new fans and minorities. Doesn't help that "puckbunny" is just a derogatory term for a female hockey fan.
-The "x team has no fans" and the "Guangdong Tigers" jokes need to fucking die.
-Hockey in Arizona could've actually worked. The only reason it didn't was because the NHL is shit at marketing, and that Gary Bettman is an idiot. -Likewise, and tbh this probably isn't a hot take, but we do not need more teams in the NHL. 32 is enough. -Again, not a hot take, but the ECHL is fucking underrated. -Auston Matthews is seriously overrated. Don't get me wrong, he's not a bad player, but he's so fucking overhyped. -Jack Hughes is also kind of overrated. Sorry yall. Annnd that's about it for the most part.

It's 3 in the morning. I'm laying in bed, ready to go to sleep.
But I want to talk about technoblade.
I dont remember how long ago it was, but I remember it was before he got floof. Me and my best friend were playing on some server called CloudMc. We were crossteaming on skywars, and we sucked. We moved to hypixel, and we sucked even more. Eventually, they told me about this one guy on YouTube. They said he was great at skywars, and that we should watch his videos to study his gameplay. Being the nerd I was, I thought that we'd be able to study it and get better. So, we watched a video. And then another.
When I went home that night and didn't think much of it. Next time I went over, I mentioned that youtuber. I had forgotten his name, so they showed me him again and we watched a few more videos. When I went home, I binged his skywars content. Alongside jaiden animations and theodd1sout, Technoblade was one of my favorite youtubers of all time. I kept watching him when he barely uploaded and loved each and every video he made. Eventually, this little thing called minecraft Monday popped up. "Oh, cool!" I thought. "Maybe techno will get a bit more popular from this! That would certainly be neat."
And so I watched
And God damn, did he get more popular.
"Technoblade never dies" was all over the place. Everyone knew him, and everyone feared him. It was fantastic. He continued to grow in popularity, and I couldn't help but love the newer stuff even more then the old. He started doing this little known thing called "actually uploading." To this day I still recall showing my aunt the great potato war, watching the first one (since it was the only one at the time) and explaining every little thing to her to make sure she loved it as much as I did.
And then, he was diagnosed. Now, little known fact about my previously mentioned friend: they had cancer aswell. To this day, they're still alive and kicking, so I thought that if they could survive, so could technoblade. I mean come on dude, it's fucking technoblade. This whole cancer thing was gonna turn into another joke in the community, just you wait and see.
When he died, I immediately cried. Very rarely does it only take me a few minutes to understand grief, but this was different. Nonetheless, it took about a week to settle in. I remember telling every friend I knew, even ones that didn't know. My cousin texted me the same day he passed and asked how I was taking the news. He knew that technoblade was important to me.
Technoblade was, and will always be, a hero. He was the first one to ever be famous and happy, and nothing will ever take away from that. He knew he was going to die atleast 6 days before he passed and continued fighting regardless. That motherfucker, he made merchandise to honor himself. He looked cancer in the eyes and told it that if he was going down, it was coming with him.
And thats fucking beautiful.
He was 100% my hero. He always was, and he always will be. Everything he did, everything he said, was brilliant. He was a genius and an amazing person, and I'm so glad I was able to live in the same world as him. Technoblades legacy is a symbol of what one person can do just by being themselves. He was smart, funny, and kind. And that got him so far in life.
Technoblade never dies. His community and his legacy are just as strong as he was. I will never forget the bravery that he had, and I doubt anyone else will.
