Batman and Superman can talk for hours about everything and nothing, and this freaks the rest of the Justice League out to no end on multiple levels

On the surface level, its the fact that its very common to walk into a room or down a hall and find Batman and Superman just chatting, which is intimidating in it’s own right. They’re the World’s Finest. You expect them to be exchanging information and strategies for some world altering threat, but they’re just talking about how their rival teams are doing this season and it’s weird

Just below the surface, it’s the fact that Batman is having a conversation that isn’t stilted one-word answers or multi-paragraph monologues where he just intellectually dunks on you. He’s talking in full casual sentences about the weather and his dog and “back in my day—“ memories. Not only that, he’s asking Superman questions about himself. He’s encouraging the conversation to continue without the focus being on the mission in any way shape or form. He’s actively participating in small talk

And on another level, deeper down, it’s strange to see Superman like that too. Superman is… well, Superman. He’s a god among men who, if he didn’t have a heart of Gold, would be able to kill half the population in one go without breaking a sweat. He exists as a concept and an ideal on a pedestal above normal humans. To see him sitting at a table eating a homemade sandwich and shoving another one at Batman while prattling on about filing his taxes of all things? Taxes? Like just some guy? It’s a bit of a reality check

So Meatloaf, Tim's Sphinx, absolutely has Opinions on his dates

So it it gets bad enough either Meatloaf gets Selina or Ace gets Krypto to get Clark

I don’t really have ship-ships for him but I read a lot of fics in the Spanish fandom back in the day that made me interested in some really rare pairs involving him. I read good Regulus/Remus fics (which appeals to me somuchmore than Remus/Sirius. idk, I can’t see Sirius as anything but fixated on James, even if I’ve read fics with him and others I’ve liked), Regulus/Lily (which you’re making me pay attention to again), even Regulus/James in my hunger for Regulus content xDD

And I kind of crack ship him with Rita Skeeter. Or with Gilderoy Lockhart, or Trelawney. IDEK. (I think it’s more about how hilarious I’d find seeing him interact with those characters lmao. Which, thanks to That WIP we’ve talked about, I might get to write hehe). Oh, and Barty Crouch Jr. xD
