this is not my favorite sad story

forget-me-nots and grey lilies

all of the flat fields are waiting now

and look for a ziggy stardust bow

i get angry at poetic canopic jars

overflowing with lost pomegranates

when we tried to lick the clouds

all of the clowns are empty now

and a black embryonic unicorn bows

i’ve always been a quiet place

i’ve been crushing in the glorious mud

i think you may have been as well

behind your spangled microphone

joy of inspiration

ponder the beyond

left more than the sum

a wake of parted waters

leaving the nest

up and away fly high

to another time and place

waiting for the rest of us

don’t be late

she lingers yet

in our mutual embrace

of words left behind

a waterfall

a broken shell

Hehe I love darkness as you already probably remarked on my " work" and always where's darkness lies the golden super polished egg of an outstanding story. Jay is so beloved and infamous that he makes my knees tremble and melt in wonder :)

HAHAHA. Jay is .... weird. @thatrandompoet is the reason he HAS a blog since she bugged me into doing it one evening when I’d been mulling it over as a fun ‘these will be easter eggs for the magician series’ and went ‘random’, duh! And then it took on its own life. No doubt ‘helped’ by Jay having a few poems made about him because every time I come across anyone asking for prompts, Jay suggests jaysome to them. So the word has spread out in a strange way sometimes. As has Jay. Making a fictional character with a very healthy ego is a dangerous thing at times.  (At one point, Jay was being so helpful and pointing out that @writerscreed kept forgetting to put in him their weekly writers list. So some of the mods began adding Jay as a .5 sometimes. And then Jay actually gained some followers out of that, so the pestering had to stop :)  Accidents of jaysome and all that.)And, re: email. If you remake the email address (if that is possible) you can have email sent to it and then change your tumblr email etc. from that. to another provider and the like.

from behind a wilting

wraith of tears,

a pale prediction

that maudlin stars

will melt & fizzle in

romantic skies

without you here.

like the flames inside

a perfect sunset

fragile footsteps

flicker into life

then fade,

essence evaporates,

flies across the aether

from one fanciful

muse to another,

always searching

for a temporary

place to stay.

a brave heart

flies with them

fierce & free,

in the place that

it was always meant

to be, dreaming

& brooding poetically

about the offbeat

side of life, all things

fantastical, wild & free.

I didn't know you as a person, I couldn't have,

But I didn't realize I knew you through the words you wrote,

Through the verses you had shared,

And those are the best ways to remember someone,

With the words they have left behind,

For even when things pass, the words shall stay,

Perhaps gradually fading but just as beautiful nonetheless.
