Forever Young
Forever Young
We were forever young
Runnin’ the roads
Chasing the girls
Promising diamonds and pearls
We would party the nights away
Hopping from bar to bar
Dancing with flirts
Hoping to unbutton shirts
We filled our Summer days
Hunting and Fishing
Nights looking for dates
Kissing and tempting the fates
We spent Winters grabbing our pay
Making our way
Saving for a car
Hoping to go far
We were for ever young
Carefree and loose
Living for today
And making hay
We have grown older
And life goes much slower
We have made our hay
And lost some along the way
We are no longer young
And now we look back
Youth having past us by
Memories bring deep sighs
We enjoyed our youth
And made our way
But in our hearts we wish
To be forever young and catch one more fish

THE MOUNTAINS CALL
The mountains call
Pattering waterfall
Early morning train
On the go again
Distant hills
Greeting mills
Winding canals
Nature’s little pals
Peaceful streams
As from my dreams
Snowy rain
Across the plains
Sunny blue sky
Cottages flashing by
Sleepy dwarfed houses
Sensuous nature arouses
Smiling meadows
Peaks of snow
Slopes of green
In scenes serene
Stillness of a lake
From the deep awake
Rainbowed pleasantry
Weaving its tapestry

Poetry of Morning Light!
the promise of a new day
arrives,
shines right through
your window
to say, good morning
Make this one matter,

destroyed by an image that keeps my heart aching. you’re full of surprises, you’re full of faith. i am hopeful, i am ruined. my words do follow you home. inside of these thoughts, i’ve been keeping you safe. inside of these memories, i’ve been remembering all of your quirks. you’re my favorite kind of energy when i feel lonely. I could be the last line of a poem that you meant to read, the ground that wasn't supposed to swallow when the sun hid its eyes. could we sing the same song if our hands haven't bled out our names? forgetting you happens in slow motion, and maybe our bodies are still pressing static into the cooling outlines. I'm sorry I don't know how to leave, but I also don't know how to stay.

Thank You.
I just really wanted to say Thank You, to all who has sent a kind message checking up on me or helping me through this. It means so much to me. To have people I can trust to share this with, seek advice from or just be in the company of whilst being so conflicted and confused or hurt and angry from the pain of what happened.
In all honesty, I always grew up thinking I’d always be alone to face what I had to with no help or support. Tumblr has allowed me to meet a few of the most incredible friends and people I could’ve never thought to meet. I’ve learned so much about respecting myself, internalizing their kind voices instead of the abusive ones I grew up with and being vulnerable and trusting because there are the very few people who more than deserve that. People I respect with my entire heart inside out.
Despite what life throws at me, knowing I’ve had your company or presence in my life makes me feel ever grateful and blessed. I hope I can give something back to your lives too.
No matter how much darkness or bad there might be in the world, knowing there are lights like you whom exist with your kindness and wisdom inspires me to continue fighting.
I hope I can be such a light in another’s life in the future as you have been to mine.
Love,
L.Y.S.S

Seasons of the Heart
Springtime laughter promised to last forever
though not quite believing we still pretended
carelessly floating upon lilac scented breezes
yet before we were ready springtime ended
Summer quickly closed childhood’s chapters
writing of love, education, family and careers
mostly pleasant, the years passed by quickly
then summer departed with autumnal tears
When fell along with Autumn leaves
Our tears were filled with memories
To blow away so far it seems
The world we longed for, was but a dream
Winter brings forth a dormant time
Reflection on the love that’s yours, the love that’s mine
Will the chilling winds blow us further apart
Or closer to comfort each others heart...
A collaboration with my dear friend @teaberrybee . I penned the beginning, and she took care of the big finish. Thank you again.

Birthday
Birthday
Why was I born,
Conceived in love and lust
Only to return to dust?
Why do I feel what I feel,
do what I do,
think what I think?
To live in inner scorn
Why was I born
Why am I here,
Living and breathing the air
Only to feel the despair?
Why must I live this way
feeling the shame,
being wrong?
To live with the fear
Why am I here?
Why did I survive
The foolish and extremes
Only to sink into deeper schemes?
Why do I dare the limits
pop the pills
defy the reaper?
It is for God to shrive
Why with me would He strive?
Why did I fail?
Plans laid in gain and self
Only to end with pelf
Why have I been so crazy
acted so rash
been so callous?
As I watch the ship sail
Why do I fail?
Will you still accept me
With all the guilt I harbor
What could be harder?
Why do I shy away
ignore the love
forsake the mercy?
What in me do you see
Why do you call to me?
Because you are my child.
I made you so, one of the elect.
It is not for you to be perfect.
Because man has walked away
to become prideful
to be alone.
In you I see all mankind gone wild.
In you is hope in my son once defiled.
Because to man I gave free will,
Free to choose right and evil.
With choice there are consequences blessed or lethal.
Because you are not meant to be a puppet,
marionette or doll,
robot or drone.
In you was given a spirit that nothing can kill.
Know that I am God and in peace be still.
Because you are of mankind
And all are sinners gone astray
Man chooses to follow a fateful way.
Because you are why I came,
why I died,
why I rose again.
In love I paid the price for all mankind
To set you free by no mean device undefined,
K. C. Barry

A ROSE
A rose blooms shyly in the garden
Fine wine flows freely in the cellar
The lark sings, nigh to the heaven
Sweethearts say hi, gals and fellas
As the desert longs for the rain
Peace grows strong, hope endears
Love is a song in sweet refrain
to belong together, year by year

Teaberry Bee
.
(Buzzing bees, buzzing bees)
(Buzzing bees, buzzing bees)
(Buzzing bees, buzzing bees)
(Buzzing bees, buzzing bees)
(Buzzing bees, buzzing bees)
(Buzzing bees, buzzing bees)
(Buzzing buzzing buzzing buzzing)
.
High as the flower of the tallest tree
buzzes a little teaberry bee.
It gathering pollen all day long
hopping and bopping, buzzing her song
.
Buzzing little bee (buzz, buzz, buzz)
Buzz us another song
So we can all rock along
Buzzing and rockin' til dawn.
.
Every little flower hears you song
Even the roses sing along
The rest of us are dancing
Saying go bee, go.
