I really appreciate and admire that the new Percy Jackson show is both willing to make changes to service the story--whether that be updating it for the new medium, tweaking things that maybe were a little logically silly to begin with in the original text, or adding more character depth--while still keeping it perfectly in character to the point where I had the urge multiple times to check my copy of The Lightning Thief to see if a moment was made up whole cloth or not.

@miskick reminded me about the health check, can we talk about the health check let's talk about this bc iku/tsuki is sooooo unslick if you know right. i know, you know.

so that whole deal doubles two fold, with the very clear intention of iku/tsuki( who all things considered so far in reload, & i may have to double back to this depending to strike this out or expand on it, has def been a proper worker bee for kiri/jo corp like while he doesnt outright say it its more properly implied that a lot of the reports, support, study, etc are for him as a researcher tasked as the liaison for ki/rijo to watch over sees. thats the whole reason hes no doubt the chairman bc he has to be the guy who keeps the former test site under lock right ok ) abusing his place of power & responsibility to run tests on the mc because he fucking knows they are the key to awaking the prince & summon nyx. it also serves as the convenient way for u to run home late so that u can have that moment w/ ta/kaya but its not about him rn & thats like metagame shit kjsfdha

anyways i find this fascinating because it does come from a place of concern. the constant use of persona does strain on the body just like the dark hour strains on the body. realistically it's smart to have a routine check up & the fact that ikutsuki waits so long to really push this, even if the order is from a legit higher up source & not him specifically as it is vague as to why( even mitsu/ru is like UHM ?? we have to do WHAT which was a hilarious red flag that this was most likely ikuts/uki vs kirij/o u feel me, u get it. ), seems very hmMM to me. it most certainly feels like to me at least a way to sneakily do a proper once over to the mc both to properly try to find some clue as to the whole multiperso/na bit & also again, iku/tsuki knows the mc is harboring the 13th shadow. like the mc's check up is long too, like its implied these were like an hour or so at most for everyone else a standardized fitness & probs a few psych evals but nothing heavy ? no doubt there is probably some medical equipment to examine one's persona thats off screen lore nonsense but still. my point is why was the mc's check up so long, why did we suddenly have to do this ? hmm ? ikuts/uki, i see you i see you workin for ur own gain.

&& like im right, literally look at what he did to the hundred kids in the persona program ki/rijo ran. he was head of that ! he was the one behind those cruel experiments, testing, & behind the drug strega uses & distributes to shi/nji. two words, one name: min/azuki sh/o. like iku/tsuki is just using the same methods in different ways to get the scientific data he needs to fuel his objective.

all of this to say is he's suspicious. i'm most certainly taking this & adapting it into my canon, however i think while mi/nato's check up is norm---- mina/ko's has an issue, the power of the 13th shadow as it now is stronger thanks to the several full moon shadows now rejoined with it overloads most if not all equipment attached to min/ako. technically this would be in the form of ph/aros within min/ako lashing out against a threat he can't understand. the two of them are symbiotic, they are also not stupid. mi/nako has been uncomfortable around ikuts/uki since the start. like something in the pit of her stomach just twists & turns if he's too close or she's alone with him. all of mi/nako's tests turn inconclusive & she leaves for the day, late with the events to run into tak/aya happen as they would in reload bc i like that thats fun & not at all traumatizing to mi/nako who is also violently uncomfortable around revolver jesus complex. however as she's leaving & gone, ik/utsuki has a fucking meltdown within the room he used to look at the results, lashing out in a rare moment of lost composure. in a way he can tell the shadow hosted within her metaphorical womb wants nothing to do with him, with the plan to summon nyx. all this does is make things worse. all it does is aid in the severe escalation toward the night on the observatory where he plans to sacrifice min/ako personally. i've gone into both that night & how i view iku/tsuki as obsessed with mi/nako almost viewing her akin to a saint for death & the fall here & this sorta of scene & reexamination of it really just adds to it.

whew quite a bit late this time cause I was catching up to something and then didn't want to post this without also having watched the fate special and the ryza premier but anyhoo

Anime

Imas CG: U149 Ep12 (Finale)

before anything else, also wrote a review for this on mal, was on the edge about it but did it cause some people convinced me, which most of what I say here but better structured wow. that's all I can say really. like a lot of people I was put off by the premise for this like "damn imas anime with just the kids? who asked for this?" and I'm not even a hater, I already liked a lot of the cast before this, albeit not nearly as much as older idols. but again, wow. it really surprised me and made me feel silly for ever doubting it and thinking it'd just be "imas for kids". it's an imas ofc it was gonna be good what was I thinking. Story: Just like the OG anime, each episode focused on each one of the girls, an issue they were having and ultimately overcoming it, from nina's fear that no one likes her unless she has her kigurumis to arisu's crippling anxiety when it comes to her parents which was planted little by little throughout the whole show with the huge payoff that was ep11, and a lot more in between. the overarching theme for the show was growing up, overcoming your fears not only with your own strength but also with the help of not only your friends around you but also the adults, which makes a lot of sense for a show about kids right. Art/Animation: honestly really really good, the anime was done by cygames' in house studio, just like the newest uma musume anime and it looks incredibly good, there was not a single point where I thought it looked cheap or could tell they were cutting corners in terms of animation, quite the opposite, I was surprised more often than not, like the chie episode that I mentioned all the time with the really good hand acting, but there's a lot more things outside of that Music: it's imas ofc the music is good, every episode had one or more insert songs around the halfway point and a different ED every week, again, just like the OG. hell some of those insert songs were brand new for the anime like kiryu's chara song or LiPPS's Nightwear that was added to the game in an event coinciding with the episode airing (huge brained). ofc I'm just being a simp for the idol music, what about the background music used in the episodes? that was good too don't worry, it was done by Miyazaki Makoto who also did OPM and SxF, and it always fit perfectly tho I couldn't point out any stand out track but it's also not the type of show where the music should stand out too much over the dialogues and stuff so that's a good thing. oh but I also wanna gush about how they're really good about when to NOT use music, there was a long scene in ep11 with 0 dialogue and music, only sound effects and it was soooo good, and there's more scenes like that sprinkled throughout the show. Overall: incredibly good ofc, I gave it a 10 when it's not that, but its imas and it's close enough that I couldn't give it anything else. idols just got me in an iron grip man this is known. if you like the OG imas, watch this; if you like any of the cast members, watch this (even if you think you dislike some of them like I did, do it, you'll prob change your mind); if you like idol shows, watch this; you've never watched an idol show and don't know where to start? well you should watch the OG imas from 2011 but this is a good starting point too

Mashle Ep12 (Finale)

you're better off reading the manga than watching this. that's really most of what I have to say about it. from start to finish it was barely animated outside of the crumb of sakuga in ep11, and the audio didn't add anything to it either, with the music being forgetable at best and overly distracting at worst (looking at the rap track). the voice performances were alright for the main cast and some of the final villains but outside of that they left a lot to be desired too. not the worst adaptation out there surprisingly enough so it gets at least a 6

Jigokuraku Ep13 (Finale)

unlike the mashle anime this is a great adaptation! I'd be totally ok with recommending this to someone if they didn't want to read the manga (tho you should still do that instead if you prefer the latter like me). I wanted to give it an 8 but the lack of sakuga held it back, I had high expectations with it being mappa but I guess juggling jujutsu, csm and snk meant that this was never gonna get the love it deserves. s2 has been confirmed, with no date, so hopefully it'll be at a time where it can have some more attention tho not holding my breath for it. anyway despite the lack of actual sakuga the action scenes still looked good and they did a good job capturing the colourfulness and creepiness of the island the ost was also really good, it really added to the ambience, especially some of the more creepy tracks and all the seiyuu did a great job, I was very excited when I saw takarie was gonna be yuzuriha and she did not disappoint and all the tensen sharing the same 2 seiyuu between male and female forms (as stated in the manga) and still being distinguishable was nice, ofc this is not to detract from the rest of the cast they were good too the anime ended at around where I expected, tho I didn't expect to see a shugen tease after the ED so that was neat, if they keep up at this pace we'll get at least 2 more cours, so like I said hopefully those get a bit more love

Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn

holy moly I'm used to fate anime being good but I still prefer to keep my expectations low in order not to get disappointed and WOW the special was so good. like the only complaint I have is them skipping some stuff (like rider's summon) but I'm sure those'll be in the actual tv anime that was announce after the special (crazy). very curious to see what all they'll cover since the light novels aren't over yet but it'll prob be up til before a certain baddie shows up. anyway, back to the special. it looked amazing, with some juicy sakuga near the end, it's got an all star voice cast tho uchida maaya stole the show near the middle and the OST was great, to be expected from sawano. very pogged up for the anime now god bless

Atelier Ryza Ep1

that double lenght ep got hands huh? it felt longer than the FSF special despite being shorter, I guess to mimick that early jrpg feel huh? but anyway it was.. decent really. I didn't expect much and it didn't deliver much, just looked average. I'm just happy to see my beautiful ryza animated 😊tho there we nearly not enough thigh shots outside of the OP and ED :(

Mashle Ch162 (Finale)

it's finally over huh. kinda wild to think about. it was, alright. I had it as an 8 after I caught up to it and up until the end but had to knock it down a bit. it's a shame the final arc got stretched so much cause of them wanting to end the manga alongside the anime but I don't believe that was the author's decision. overall it's a fun series, like OPM meets a magic school. it took a bit for it at the start to find it's groove but when it got there (right after where the anime ended), it was a nice series to read weekly with a lot of cool looking fights. the cast was fun, albeit a bit annoying at times for me. if you just want a goofy series with good action give it a try cause that's it all it is

My Hero Academia Ch218 - 392

SHEEESH that was quite a lot to catch up to huh, I thought it'd take a lot less time, and it could've if I totally focused on it but still anyway, I started mha right when it began, well not exactly, it had like 10 chapters or so? so close enough and I've always loved it a lot. I know it gets called a mid a lot cause the anime made it super mainstream but it's actually quite good. horikoshi is definitely the best artist in the magazine currently by a long shot, tho it takes quite a toll on his health :( the last time I had read was like right after deku got the whip power and right before the my villain academia arc, and shit's been popping off since then. horikoshi went on record to say fans don't like the villains so he cut it short and stuff, and I understand where people're coming from (not gonna get into it), tho I liked that arc. after that we had the training arc with endeavor which was kinda short, followed by a huge battle culminating in a big fight between all the heroes and almost perfect AFO. after that we had dark deku was which was very pog, with him becoming basically a vigilante and showing off his greater control over OFA. and then we're basically were we are right now, the big climatic final fight where everyone gets their chance to be cool and shine. like I said at the start, I've loved mha since the beggining and that hasn't changed at all, despite how long it might take I trust horikoshi to do a good job until the end, maybe in 2024, hang in there buddy!

just an action filled chapter as expected but very cool nonetheless, it was great finally getting to see okarun fighting with his new upgrades also I say it all the time but it's crazy how a weekly series can look this good, this wasn't the only spread either

nice chaps, not only did they have some great action but also served to introduce an overarching plot to break the series away from it's formulaic structure so far, just a couple more months til we're caught up with jp so that'll be nice

Shuumatsu no Valkyrie Ch79

most of the chap was just leonidas' backstory which is like, one of the most well known in history but it wouldn't make sense to not include it regardless. we're only at the start but I still don't think he's got a chance of winning but we'll see

an ok 2nd chapter tho coulda been a lot better, it was just a little self contained story, if it keeps going like this it's gonna suffer the same fate as ginka

I figured this fancy book they introduced would've been written by his dad, and that he had some connection to the gang, but didn't expect it to get revealed so early but, gotta do what you can when ratings are so low

figured we'd be getting the next challenger soon, tho it is refreshing that he isn't just after noren. series has been doing p decently in ratings so there's no risk of it going anywhere currently but I would still like to see some more exciting stuff, maybe this duel will have something to satisfy me

the 1v1s start in WW and with a bang. having keigo not transform into wolf right at the start is very good, it'll be even cooler if he actually got to beat her without transforming but I don't see that happening

some nice action in this chap and they also introduced the brother that's been mentioned a million times so that's nice, it's still too early to know how the series is doing in rankings but with it coming from a veteran and do retry seemingly flopping I think it'll be fine

very cool action packed chapter again, I'd been hoping heisuke would be part of the fight so it's nice to see that finally happen, tho I don't have high hopes for our order friend here surviving

chap was mostly just set up for the shen vs mui fight, kinda sad we didn't get to see billy or fuuko fight but oh well, this fight should be cool tho I hope shen actually gets to fight feng for real and it doesn't just end in one shot or something

Akane-banashi Ch68

a nice chap, mostly just a cool down after hikaru's performance which landed her a 93 score. I had originally predicted her to get 96 and akane to get a 93 so it'd be funny if it was the other way around. I still don't feel akane is gonna win this competition at this point but we'll see if I change my mind after the first performance chap next week

Thank you so much for letting me know! I thought I had anon turned on already, but it’s 100% turned on now! Regarding your request I got a little carried away and wrote both some general fluff and some confession headcanons for Ranboo so this post is a little long... Hope you enjoy! :D

(It’s important to note that these headcanons are a combination of ones pertaining to his Minecraft character in the dsmp and him outside of the dsmp roleplay!)

General Ranboo Fluff

- Dreamsmp Ranboo -

The first time Ranboo cries in front of you is when you confess to him and he is so happy and relieved that you reciprocate his feelings. He even smiles through the pain of his tears as you panic to cover the skin beneath his eyes, so your hands catch his tears to stop the pain.

Ranboo likes to ask if you need any resources from time to time and once you finally give in and answer, he spends the rest of his day trying to collect as much of it as he can. This has led to a few incidents in which you came back to your shared indent in the snowy mountain to find a chest stacked full with polished stone and countless ores. You’ve scolded him but the way he responds with big puppy dog eyes wishing to “just be helpful.” Sets the butterflies caged in your chest free every damn time.

Ranboo in addition to asking you for want you want he is also very observant in noticing what you need. Any tools close to breaking? Brilliant, he’s already got three more of the same tools ready for you to grab when you need it. He also names them using the anvil to some silly super cheesy pet names.

One of his favourite things to do with you is stargaze. You both travel to the top of your snowy mountain and clear out a space free of snow to lie down and simply hold each other. Ranboo has started asking Techno (on the nights you are away) to point out the stars and tell him their corresponding stories. He happily relays all of this information to you in exaggerated detail, looking at you in awe as your expressions change with the twinkling lights above.

Ranboo almost always carries a little umbrella around with him in case it begins to rain. Most of his friends notice and all start to buy him some. He now has a full collection that line his wall just next to the door. It’s those small things that allows him to remember who his real friends are.

Ranboo LOVES having his hair played with. He will fall asleep within minutes of you beginning to tousle his hair as he rests his head in your lap. He may make soft enderman noises, but you don’t dare tell him. Content on keeping that little secret to yourself.

Ranboo has to be kinda careful around snow considering that if it melts it will hurt him. Meaning he has to sit out on any snowball fights that occur. And they occur more frequently than you would think. It usually starts with Phil throwing a rogue snowball at Techno when Phil notices him slumping his shoulders. Which means it doesn’t take long until it’s a full-blown war. You usually find yourself smack bang in the middle of it and have to dive down to avoid getting pummelled in the crossfire. Ranboo will call you over to hide behind Techno’s house. As the onslaught continues between the two. you giggle and commentate over the fierce battle together.

- Outside of Dreamsmp Ranboo - 

Ranboo enjoys watching you whenever you are focused on something. He’s incredibly observant and finds himself mimicking the small little nuances he sees you exhibit. He gets incredibly flustered whenever you notice that he’s picked up on them, but he doesn’t bother to deny it.

Ranboo finds himself staring at you a lot. He doesn’t mean to but he can’t help it. You catch him frequently, “Watching me real closely, hm?” He tries to stutter out an answer to defend himself, but you just smile and tell him it’s okay.

Ranboo finds a lot of comfort in doing ‘domestic’ activities with you. However, one of his personal favourites is when the two of you go out to get groceries together. His mum will give him a small list and he’ll try his best to dawdle around the store whilst swinging your intertwined hands to make the visit as long as possible. It makes him think of a future in which the two of you get to do this every single week and that alone warms his heart.

Ranboo always has to be near you, he doesn’t have to be physically touching you but he prefers to just be stupidly close to you. It always makes you laugh when he sits just close enough to you that you don’t touch, so now he has to do it forever.

Your laugh is one of his favourite sounds. To the point that if you giggle or laugh at something, he will just keep doing it over and over again for as long as you keep laughing at it. Which eventually leads to the both of you red-faced and gasping for air.

Ranboo is a terrible cook. But he tries so hard to follow recipes and they always flop. He also for some reason, cannot attempt cooking without making an utter mess of himself. Whether it’s spilling flour all over himself, getting egg yolk splatter somehow in his hair or just spilling copious amounts of milk on the floor so that he slips. This boy is a walking, talking kitchen DISASTER. So now he can only cook with you supervising him. Which turns out, wasn’t as much of a punishment as it should have been. As your tutelage seems to have slightly improved his cooking skills. However, now you also get flour spilt all over you as well.

Ranboo Confession Headcanons

- Realising he likes you - 

Ranboo denies he has feelings for you at first. Believing that you’re just a good friend whose company he really enjoys. But the more he focuses on your friendship the quicker he realises he would prefer if you were more to him than that.

This thought alone sends him into a little bit of a spiral for a few days. Grappling with the thought of rejection and the guilt he would feel if he ever hurt you.

He spends most of the time grappling with his feelings he continues to try and act as normal as possible around you. You finding out would be his worst nightmare.

Ranboo realises he has absolutely no history in the dating department and desperately needs some guidance. He may ask Phil on a whim who would try his best to give the poor panicked boy some words of wisdom. Ranboo takes the advice to heart immediately, promising Phil he will update him on how his feelings for you turn out.

Ranboo finds himself writing about you in one of his many journals. He finds putting words on the page seems to help clear his mind. He tries to script his confession a few times. Desperately floundering to find the right words, but he always seems to fall short. He usually ends up scribbling all over those pages until you can barely tell someone had even written on them. Hoping to somehow erase the thoughts in the process.  

He even tries drawing you a few times when he finds himself with enough spare time. He doesn’t think they’re any good though. Sure, the sketches look like you, but they don’t make him feel the way you do. When he looks at the page his chest doesn’t tighten because of your beauty, but instead because of the way you’ve made him feel. Which he comes to the sad conclusion is something he simply cannot capture in his words or his drawings. He has to show it through his actions. Not exactly his strong suit. But he’s determined to do right by you. So, he devises a plan.

- Confessing to you - 

This boy plans the whole day down to a t, he has multiple back-up plans just in case his first one falls short.

Ranboo invites you over for lunch. Arriving at his place you notice how clean it is. He spent the last few days cleaning it top to bottom.

You spend a few minutes in the house chatting. You notice Ranboo is on edge almost immediately. Shoulders a pinch too tight, his smiles a little too wide and none of them reach his eyes.

You ask what you’re going to be having for lunch and he reveals a wicker basket from his kitchen. “A picnic!” Your heart warms, “I would’ve brought something if you’d told me beforehand.” He smiles at that, “Exactly. I even cooked without you, you should be proud.” 

He shuffles on his feet a little, wishing to be praised, “We’ll see how the food tastes first, maybe then I’ll tell you how proud I am.” You tease, moving to elbow him lightly. You notice the way his face flushes as you move into his space. His mother appears from upstairs, “Are you two leaving? I could drive you, y’know!” “No thanks mom!!” He is quick to grab your hand and practically drag you out of the house and away from his all knowing mom.

The bus ride is on the longer side and you find yourself feeling brave enough to scoot a little closer to Ranboo. “Hey, is it okay if I?” You gesture between your head and his shoulder, the cute, shocked expression he sends you causes you to grin. “Uh s-sure!” 

You softly press your head against his shoulder, “Thanks, pretty comfy shoulder you got here should’ve asked you to share it sooner.” You tease, nuzzling his shoulder lightly just for a reaction. And you get one alright, his skin goes such a lovely shade of red all the way up to the tips of his ears. You giggle softly, trying your best to hold it in and failing miserably.

You even manage to fall asleep despite your own heartbeat quickening at Ranboo’s closeness. You are tapped awake by him, “Hmm?” You rub one of your eyes knowingly appearing adorable and the way he looks at you makes it all worth it. “It’s our stop soon, we gotta get up.” 

You nod and lazily stand and he follows suit. Only for the bus to brake abruptly, promptly shoving you into his chest. He wraps his arms around you quickly to steady you whilst you desperately cling to the wicker basket, “You okay?” You both mumble to each other before laughing it off and nodding. “Oh crap.” Ranboo grabs your free hand and you both scramble to get to the front of the bus to hop off. Sparks fly up your arm at the extended contact, even as you jump off the bus.

Ranboo happily leads you to a spot he had picked out earlier in the month. A soft patch of grass below a large willow tree that now sways softly in the warm breeze. You set up your carefully packaged feast with haste now that your stomachs are grumbling.

Ranboo forcefully tries to make himself relax knowing you’ve probably noticed his tense state by now. But you choose not to push him on it, taking an educated guess on why he’s so stressed.

You are quick to compliment his cooking skills when he divvies out a freshly baked quiche.  Even though you know his mom for sure did most of the work. It’s the thought that counts. You hope that may snap him out of the stupor he seems to be in. However, no such luck.

“Hey Ranboo, do you want to talk about something?” Ranboo goes into full panic mode. He did not have a plan for you asking something like this. He thought you weren’t confrontational!! You watch as his expression changes rapidly. You look away, “You don’t have to tell me, it’s okay. I just thought you might want to-“ 

He takes one of your hands in his. Why is he doing this??? This isn’t part of the plan at all! “I…” His throat goes dry. All those hours obsessing over what he was going to say to you are sent out the window when he finally meets your eyes.

“I think I like you.” He hasn’t realised he’s even said it until its waaaaaay too late. Your eyes widen, you didn’t think he’d actually admit it to you. You squeeze his hand as you watch his eyes seem to lose focus, “I like you too.” He is silent for several long moments until he starts blinking rapidly, “Huh!?” The look of utter surprise on his face causes you to burst out laughing.

“Wait, wait, wait you’re serious?” He grabs your arm as a grin slowly starts to creep onto his face. “Sure am.” And as you meet his gaze you realise that his grin actually reached his eyes, for the first time in a long while. 

“So, you gonna kiss me now or what?” You tease as his face shines a dark red. “W-well I, uh-“ His stuttering only allows for you to sneak closer and press a firm kiss to his cheek. Somehow, he grows even redder and you sigh pleasantly. “My heart definitely made the right choice with you Ranboo.”

Meanwhile Ranboo is too busy freaking out over the fact that you weren’t even meant to find out he liked you until you were stargazing together later tonight. His plans are utterly ruined! But as you squeeze his hand again to bring his thoughts back into the present, he wonders that perhaps spontaneity isn’t such a bad thing sometimes.

If someone were to ask you what it's like to be a princess, you would say it's a curse. For the past 15 years you've been raised, your father was stern and barely paid any attention to you. Suffering from neglect, you slowly watched him become more and more corrupt with power, forcing the entire kingdom to stay within its walls. As far as the common people knew, the outside was a mysterious place not to be messed with.

That's what power does to people. To have all these abilities at your hands, is a great responsibility. But most rulers toss those away, like a bag of trash being disposed into the garbage can.

You sighed, gazing across to the opposite side of the clearing you were sitting in. You raised your head to look up at the sky. Oh, what I would do to have a different life...

The rustling of leaves caught your attention. You gasped, quickly backing away into the shelter of the trees. Dad can't catch me being here!

"Hey."

You froze as relief washed over you. It wasn't your father.

You weren't allowed to leave the kingdom. Finding loopholes wasn't easy, so you didn't know what you'd do if he found out.

Carefully, you stood up, squinting at the figure standing at the opposite end of the meadow. Slowly, they- or it- stepped into the sunlight. You recognized him from your past adventures. Fern the Human.

"Hi," you replied warily. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh, you know," he said. "Just exploring." Fern wore the same expression he did normally, a blank set of eyes and his mouth set in a straight line.

You nodded, your eyes darting around the clearing, at anything but him. You rarely interacted with outsiders, especially since you weren't allowed outside of your kingdom. So you didn't know how to act. All your social skills started chipping away because you were forced to stay inside all the time. "Princess duties".

"I haven't seen you around here before," the grass boy remarked. "Who are you?"

"Who am I?" I repeated. That was a good question. Every single decision I've had to make and every emotion I've had was decided for me. So much so, that I wasn't sure there was any "me" left.

"I'm Y/N," you replied. Fern tilted his head.

"Where are you from?"

"Um." You struggled to find the words. He couldn't know about the kingdom, or else you would find yourself kicked out. What was even the purpose of telling him? It could only end badly. His curiosity would get the better of him, driving him him to see the kingdom for himself. Would Fern even try to save us?

Even though you wanted to rescue your people badly, the thought of them roaming around aimlessly in the Land of Ooo scared you. They barely knew anything about the outside, and the only information they did know altered their perspective to think of it in a bad light. Besides, what could Fern do to help? He's just one person.

"It's none of your business," you ended up blurting out. "I have to go." Your father wanted you home for the evening anyway. For what, he didn't say.

You turned away before you could hear Fern's reply, dashing off into the dense forest.

Taking a deep breath, you began to form an image of a raven inside your mind. Shapeshifting was still something you weren't good at. You were supposed to follow a certain set of rules as a princess, one of which being that you couldn't shapeshift into your raven form in the presence of other people. It was seen as impolite.

Focus on shapeshifting! You commanded yourself. Finally, you were able to fly, ruffling your wings a bit. You missed being able to soar.

"Wait!" Fern's voice yelled from behind you, his footsteps trodding through the layers of leaves on the forest floor. You sighed, flapping up to the tree tops and taking off. A feeling of dread gradually grew in your chest, facing the reality that you had to go back to your secluded life, with people that ignored and misunderstood you.

As the dark green leaves of the forest zoomed by beneath your feet, you began to wonder whether you should've listened to what Fern had to say. Eh, it probably wasn't important.

Directing your thoughts back to your destination, you vowed to come back to your happy place as soon as possible. It helped clear your head. Hopefully, Fern won't be there next time. The idea of talking to people made you uncomfortable. The people that you've trusted in the past have all either broken your trust, or just didn't care about you at all.

There's a crown here in the bushes, Fern observed, lifting the heavy piece of gold. It was a big ring, with an arm extending upwards, holding a small, rugged black crystal. Interesting.

Turning it over in his hands, something strange caught his eye. A carving on the back of the crown. It was barely illegible, but Fern could make out one name. Y/N.

"Where is your crown?" The Raven King hissed angrily. "The suitors are already here!"

"I don't know, Dad!" You frantically racked your mind, trying to remember where you had left it. A princess' crown was a part of her, as a role model and a symbol. But this time, it represented worth.

"Why are you making me marry someone I don't even know anyway?" You hurriedly glanced at your father, brows furrowed. Your father had invited a group of suitors to compete for your hand in marriage. They desired only the princess' heart, but it wasn't true love, like what you dreamed of as a child. They just wanted land, wealth, and power. Marrying you was their key to a happy life. Without your label as a princess, they would have no opportunity at all.

"You know very well why!" Your father growled. "This is going to be beneficial for the kingdom! Don't you want me to prosper?"

You started walking down the spiraling staircase that lead to the main hallways, unable to stay calm any longer. "I want the people to prosper," you replied, sending a spine-chilling glare to your father behind you. Before he could respond, you stomped away, into the main hallway where a line of antsy suitors stood waiting.

You definitely have a thing for walking out on people.

"Heya, Fern!" A boy wearing a worn, dual-toned green backpack greeted Fern, holding open the door that had separated the two just moments before. "Jake just made some meatloaf! Want some? It has your favorite- I mean our favorite garnishes." Finn grinned.

"No thanks," Fern replied, distracted. His eyes wandered all around the giant treehouse that stood over him, almost menacingly. Despite what Fern wanted to think, there was something about it that made him uneasy. When he thought of the treehouse, he thought of Finn, which in turn caused him to obsess over the fact that he wasn't Finn. Then who was he?

"No probs." Finn sounded a little disappointed, but cheered up when Jake called out that the meatloaf was ready from somewhere inside the house.

"By the way, can I ask you something?" Fern asked, taking something out of his backpack, which tumbled to the ground, causing him to groan in frustration. Finn turned back to his grassy friend while taking a plate of food from the unseen Jake. "What's up?"

He gasped when he saw the golden crown gleaming in the sunlight. "That belongs to one of the princesses!" He picked it up and handed it back to Fern.

Fern nodded, stowing it in his backpack. "I found it in the forest near Tree Trunks' house. I think this girl dropped it," he said.

"Whahf girl?" Finn said, trying to chew meatloaf at the same time. "PB? Fire Princess? Slime P?"

"No." Fern shook his head. "I've never seen her before, and honestly," he said, scratching the back of his neck. "She was scared of me." He sounded frustrated, his voice trailing off.

"Dude-"

"Why doesn't anything ever work out?!" Fern said in anguish. He curled his fingers in and out of his palm, trying to release the tension trapped in his mind.

"Calm down, dude," Finn exclaimed. "I can help you find her, don't worry! I've never seen this crown before either, so we can go together." He placed a hand on Fern's shoulder, trying to comfort him.

"No!" Fern protested. "I wanna do it myself," he said, softer. "Can you just tell me how to find her?"

Finn looked taken aback for a second at his grassy friend's outburst, but nodded regardless. "You can ask the Candy People and the other kingdoms, they probably know who owns that crown." He handed Fern a map of the Land of Ooo, sketched out on a yellowed piece of paper.

Saying their goodbyes, Finn left Fern on his solo quest to find the mysterious princess.

The long and chaotic day was finally over. You sank down to the floor, your back against the door to your room. You stared at the king-sized bed. I hate this. I hate everything.

After you left your father standing on the stairs, you had awkwardly walked into the main hall. But that must have been the last straw for your father, because he still didn't join you, even after five minutes. He ended up sending a replacement to accompany you after a long time of waiting. You wished that the suitors didn't keep glancing at the spot where your crown was supposed to sit while you stood with your hands clasped in front of you, staring at the doorway your father was going to follow you through.

I still have to get the crown back, you thought. Where did I leave it? The only place I would've lost it would be... Then you realized. The clearing! Of course! Oh no, I have to go there right now!

You raced over to the small window in your bedroom, peeking your head out. Seeing practically no one outside, you transformed into your raven form and hopped on the windowsill. Suddenly, an object was hurled at you from below. Looking down, you saw a small child chucking pieces of corn at you.

"Get out of there, you stupid crow!" He yelled. Close enough.

You carefully flapped your wings, flying high above the kingdom. As soon as you were out of reach, the child gave up trying to knock you out of the sky and returned to his home, resuming the quiet atmosphere the kingdom always held during evenings.

Night had almost fallen over Ooo when you finally arrived at your meadow. Landing in the spot where you had sat earlier that day, you turned back into a human and rummaged through the bushes for your long lost crown. As the minutes ticked by, you began to grow more frustrated. Where is it?! If I lose it forever, I'm done for.

"Huh?" You said out loud. Prying apart the branches of a blueberry bush, you found a few grass blades attached to the rough leaves, reminding you of Fern. You stood up. Why not just see if Fern had it? He wasn't the scavenger type, but something as mysterious as an unknown princess' crown was sure to fascinate him.

Ugh, the sun is setting. You sighed in defeat, vowing to visit Fern the next day to take back the circlet. Another day that's ending, another gloomy morning to look forward to. But this time, you had a mission to accomplish.

Watching the FFH press now knowing they weren’t together at the time, you can tell things were off between them. Like you said, I think they were on more of a break and possibly still hooking up because some days were more tense than others. Also it makes me believe the Audrey v2 tea a little bit more of T being the one to pump the breaks on things because Z always seemed a little more hot and cold during the interviews.

I don’t know how to explain it but she would either be really sweet with him or she would be at his throat lol. Usually she is one to make fun of him always but she actually showed a softer side with him. I’m thinking of the costume interview or the wired interview. And like a typical man he just seemed oblivious to it all. But also seemed to flirt with her at times like they were still hooking up. And they obviously still had feelings for one another.

I know none of what I said made sense but just a reading I got from them 😂. Basically Z maybe thought things were going to work out and moved forward like things were normal but T initiated the break and was backing off more. We all know he’s the more emotional one of the two. Plus the breakup was new so I think they naturally fell into their old ways. I also don’t think it was a nasty breakup at that time. I just feel like Z acted how I would’ve acted if a guy broke up with me but I was still trying to make things work (which has unfortunately happened 😑).

I’m done talking in circles now lol. Just something I’ve always thought about while watching those old interviews.

Of course, now we'd prob be able to pick up on way more things since we have more "experience" lol.

But yea I agree with you, I'm still not 100% sure the Audrey Tea v2.0 isn't true. Imo it actually makes more sense if Tom broke it off or initiated a breakup first. Who knows? 🤷🏾‍♀️ He could have voiced some concerns about the rlshp, and she was trying to sort of do things a little differently so that he wouldn't be upset with the status quo. I def feel like the obsessive hiding was one of the main things behind the breakup, because it seems that now they have found a healthy "medium" and are doing things a bit differently this time around. Obviously the main issue wasn't distance, because Z was still dating JE even though he flew back to Australia, and Tom prob would have long since moved to LA by now if distance was their MAIN issue. I'm thinking the H/L/D/DC, public friend-zoning, the constant chaperones, and the jealousy (romantic) btwn the two of them were the main things that seemed to cause the most issues/tension in the rlshp.

That actually makes more sense to me than her breaking up with him out of the blue (for what reason exactly? 🥴), and it goes more in line with what HIS pattern is (initiating breakups) than hers. She didn't even initiate the Zevor breakup, and there were signs he was cheating. 👀 She just (like a lot of women) chose to believe his lies cuz he was her first love, and ignored all of the glaring red flags because she wanted to believe him. I'm not even sure if she initiated the Jacdaya breakup tbh, or if JE broke things off (prob to pursue Kaia 👀), or if he actually did smthg jerky or pulled away slowly and Z just ended up breaking it off. Claire's quotes just seemed very telling around that time. He also has seemed to be putting out olive branches almost like he knows he either dumped her or did smthg to make her dump him, but meanwhile she's like done with him lol. 👀 Like, no sympathy whatsoever. Would she be acting that way if SHE dumped him for reasons that had nothing to do with him personally? 🤔 I'll be honest, that's not how I usually act when I'm the dumper, unless the person really did smthg horrible like cheated or smthg.

It would also make more sense to me that Tom must have known that Z still loved him at least on some level if he's still reaching out to her after the Tolivia incident. Idk why ppl try to paint Tom as some lovesick guywho got dumped, AND was still reaching out... It doesn't make sense to me. They obviously both still had feelings for each other, and I think they both knew it too. And, keep in mind, he had no issue with giving her a birthday post even though she was clearly in Greece with another man at the time. 😅 Idk that just seems pretty ballsy for a guy who got DUMPED by that same woman to do smthg like that lol. Idk.... maybe that's just me? Or maybe they just really wanted to try to act as "normal" as possible so that ppl wouldn't realize that they had been dating each other all along? Who knows at this point lol? 🤷🏾‍♀️ Either way, they both seemed to want to remain friends after the breakup, and so that right there was a sign that they still loved each other on some level.

Anyway, it seems like it's more Tom's pattern to initiate breakups, and he doesn't seem like he wastes any time either if the rlshp isn't working for him anymore.

Here's another possibility..... It seems like the breakup COULD have actually been mutual.... meaning, they both realized it was prob for the best. Most breakups or breaks aren't really mutual lol, but maybe some are lol 😆

Then there's the other idea that they could have just been on a "break", and then Tom got caught with Olivia and it became a firm breakup. 👀 (Ross/Rachel theory)

I've even toyed with the idea that PERHAPS they had broken up briefly before (quietly) maybe back in Dec of 2018, but perhaps it was REAL BRIEF (for like a week lol), but then they decided they missed each other too much and decided to get back together again, but hadn't really FIXED the issues in the rlshp, so they got back together, but their issues weren't really resolved, and so then it ended up causing more issues, until they just both decided to call it quits in May. That would actually explain why the breakup in May seemed so chill..... It seemed there was more "drama" and hurt feelings AFTER the Tolivia incident. Perhaps originally one or both of them were kind of expecting that they would just get back together again soon after things calmed down some after the press tour, but then when Tom was caught with Olivia, maybe Z was then like, "ohhh.... so it's like OVER over.... gotcha...", and then swiftly moved on to JE. 😏

Girl, there are SO many theories, and I've had many swirling around in my mind for a while, and I've heard many theories from other fans as well, etc.....

At the end of the day, the bottom line is, they weren't over each other, and who broke up with whom doesn't really seem to matter right now, because whatever happened in the past, they seem like they are long-since over it and are starting over anew with their rlshp. 🥰❤

WE THE NORTH WEEK 2K21 - DAY 006

i picked this early on and then i thought i wasn't thinking about this right and then i realized i was and so i came back to this. i did not fit all of @charlieweasleyy's characters on here because i could barely fit the four. have you ever noticed how muscians suck in the image department, no? just me? okay then. moving on

*barney stintson voice* have you met haley? i'm sure you have because she's everywhere and she's friendly and lovely and honestly one of the best people (even tho she got me in a lot of trouble this week). i thought about putting haley for relevance a time or two while i was struggling with that prompt BUT i feel like she paves the way which lead me back to keeping her characters in this position. buckle up bc this is going to get long again.

lets get this party started (haley can correct me on anything i say that's not accurate)

James was one of my first favourite characters on the site, which everyone knows because you've heard me gush about him every appreciate week in june since i joined and prob at any given moment elsewhere. and i love what haley is doing with him, the story that she's telling with him, the way he's changing and the way he's seeing the world is evolving and its not because of the fact that he's married to prudence. but its because of the way the world sees and treats him, some times its got me cheering while reading and other times i feel incredibly sad about it. he's not the only black character on the site but he's the most involved in the social issues (i could be wrong and if i am, apologies) and i am excited to be joining haley with that. everyone got their characters involved in BLM last year, but since that moment i've heard haley talk about how she wants to keep doing things like that with james. i've wanted an activist character for a while now (i get that itch specifically around june yearly because of a show i watch every june) and i felt like james' estrange cousin was my best opportunity.

Then there is Hakim, who admitted i wasn't as aware of (as well as i could have been) until i made his sister Pari. and haley came at me with all these thoughts and head canons of the family and everything that she'd thought about with hakim which, i played myself because i love this character so much more now and all he does is hurt me. she popped into a group chat of the siblings and proposed a ramadan thread idea and then another but followed it up with like 1298742190 other links so that we could be informed while we were writing it. those links came in during the span it took me to find a single article. and it helped me flesh out pari a bit more and figure out how i wanted to shape her as a mix of tradition beliefs and non traditional. i just love this family and he's one of my favourite characters to read.

Mitch is a character i know i would struggle with, that rang true more so when we were not a site in canada. (idk if you've all seen my little breakdown about the *voices in your head* concept but sometimes separating me from characters isn't always easy. ) but she does it with such grace and respect, mitch could be seen as just a one dimensional character because we all seem to just write off conservatives. not to mention haley made a cop during the current climate. while i think that is valid at times, political stance doesn't always equal personality or mean that a person embodies everything of that political party (maybe its a privilege of living in canada where our conservatives are progressive idk dont @ me, let me gush in peace) and i think that's well represented in mitch. he has his beliefs, he has put his foot in his mouth and he married someone that can call him out when needed. but he's such a good person despite in his faults or in spite of them. the way haley approaches him is lovely. i can't wait to see the growth with mitch over the next few years, some of what i know, others which i don't which is always exciting to see unfold.

Sierra, i've loved them for a while like love love loved them and i could not think of ways to get plots with them that would span more than a thread and i was frustrated. one day we will get a ship (i tried with sierra but alas the stars did not align but that's okay) having them become part of tez's little crew has been one of my favourite things, i love the dynamic between them. but i did have a brief moment in 2040 where i had a friends to lovers sort of ship with sadie who was trans and haley didn't even think about it, like it was just a natural decision for her. which is the way it should be. so i was not at all surprised when sierra became non binary in like six hours of the news breaking and how haley just went about that whole process in a day. and i haven't been able to stop thinking about it and how its got me thinking about something similar.

a lot of things i've seen in haley's writing has inspired me to be more like haley. to take more chances. i wish i could think like her so i think my goal for year six is going to be simple. i'm going to approach it with:

what would haley do, and then act accordingly. but i think she's always going to be at the forefront of innovative ideas on the site and i love to see it. even more, i'm glad i get to be part of it at times. that was a lot, thanks for coming to my "all about haley" talk.

in response to your question about 1518 strasbourg, this is when and where the dancing plague of 1518 happened dnsbsbshja. it's where the phrase "dance till you die" originated lmao. i think it'd be funny to witness this/take part in it. aside from that, id probably fuck with california in 1849 because the gold rush🧎‍♀️, france in the 1880s, or america in the 1980/1990s! i’m a history nerd courtesy of my father, so i choose all my time periods based off some of my favorite historical events! 1880s for architecture mostly, gold rush because lawlessness and the "wild west", and the 80s for the cold war :)

the night is beautiful if you take the time to live it. for me, my favorite time across the board is lunch time-12:00 ish to 3:00 just because the sun is highest and i feel happiest! i like the night when i go out on bike rides because i feel alive/ like i’m not wasting my teen years

and yes the night is so beautiful when u just give it ur attention. like, on my birthday it was raining and i didn’t have school the next day (and my birthdays i’m may so it was pretty warm) so i just went outside at like, midnight ish and listened to the rain and crocheted and it was truly so nice 😫 also omg last year when covid had us all at home i went for a bike ride almost every day after school to just get out of my room and it was so nice!! it was my bike from when i was like, 12 but i’m 4’11 so i was still able to ride it without a problem lsnsksns

You mentioned being bullied before (I'm really sorry that happened, you don't deserve that at all, no one does but you are amazing and I'm so sorry!) and so I was wondering if I could ask advice, someone on here has been bullying me in a way that really reminds me of being bullied in hs and I honestly don't know what to do, I feel like it's mentally taking over my life as I'm always worried about what will happen next.

oh no anon, i’m so sorry to hear this ): i guess my advice will fluctuate a bit depending on how you’re being bullied - do you feel genuinely threatened in any way (doxxing, physical threats, blackmailing, etc)? are they on anon? is it a group of people or just one? i want to help you but there’s such a wide array of ways people can bully on here that i’d love the full scope of it so I can give more tailored advice if this doesn’t help, because this doesn’t apply universally to everything that could arise on tumblr. and also i’ve dealt with all of the above on here, too, so (semi-unfortunately) i have some life experiences in all of those departments that I can hopefully use to help in more detail.

but anyway; the general thing I learned throughout being bullied in my life - in middle school, high school, and college - is that nothing makes a bully angrier than when you specifically don’t change yourself in spite of what they are doing. the worst non-physical threat type bullying i ever received was when I was in high school; everyone made fun of me at every turn for being loud and wanting to move to New York and skipping school to go to concerts and charming the pants off teachers to get away with it and telling them all I was going to work in the entertainment industry. and i tried to change the narrative for a while, tried to blend in and all that, and it just never stopped - a lot of the time, bullies decide you’re going to be their punching bag, and so you then become their punching bag, no matter what you do to thwart it - which also fits in to what we’ve been talking about with Taylor the last few days. So eventually I just decided you know what, fuck it, they’re gonna bully me and twist my words and yell things at me in the hallway and harass me anyway, so i might as well do all the things they’re bullying me for as loudly as i possibly can (dhsfjh so you can prob see why rep is my favorite album hjkfjgfhdj). And I did all the things they bullied me for 10x harder and 10x louder. Eventually, I got so wrapped up in doing whatever I wanted and effectively covering my ears and going ‘lalalalalalala i’m not listening’ that their bullying me just turned to pure rage because they it wasn’t affecting me, and I got to watch them all get into an absolute tailspin about it, spend literally every day walking around bitter as fuck just at the fact that i was alive, and visibly almost watch their systems crash as they realized they didn't know what to do about it anymore - and it was so fucking entertaining. i’m not just saying that, it really was. and somewhere along the way of that happening, i stopped projecting fake happiness/& an exaggerated version of who i am to spite them bullying me, and i was just being purely the way I was because I wanted to be, and watching them get so mad at my truest self for no reason just bred this really strong sense of self and actually, confidence, that I still carry with me to this day. and literally the entire rep era, i think, is evidence that this isn’t just a personal anecdote of mine, but that's how bullies work.

so if the things people are saying to you are non-threatening, i know it feels really fucking difficult in the moment, but just double down on it. do not under any circumstances show that they’re getting to you. they want you to feel bad and they want you to feel small and they want you to change and they want to feel the way they gain a sense of power from all of that, and they will lose their fucking minds if it makes you more you and you don’t shrink back and you don’t publicly let it show they’re getting to you. i promise promise promise you, it’ll be hard at first but really committing yourself to projecting those things outward, even if it’s not how you feel at first, will be SO empowering.

Was reading your response to the Okumura Ryuji/Morgana fight, and the way the person worded Ryuji's character made me wanna ask... Do you think a bad fanbase is a fair reason to dislike a character? I've heard people say things like "no look at the character too", but... For example, I'm very neutral on Ryuji. When he's good, hes SO GOOD, EXCELLENT BOY, but Ann is my favorite girl. Guess who he pervs on exclusively and is rude to all the time? I've never seen his fans talk about (1/2 sorry)

His rude behavior, or his pervy tendencies, or his more selfish desires regarding the PT. That's fine!! Not everyone wants to constantly talk about bad things their fave has done!!! But people referring to him as a "woman respecting king" so insistently rubs me the wrong way, since he treats Ann Like That. That, and (more personal) i remember making a post/ask thing once about my grievances with Ryuji, esp his perv stuff, and the fans that interacted very aggressively denied his behavior (2/3)

And it even turned into a big discourse on the blog I submitted it to (it was that one confession blog). All the people that responded and just tried moving the arguments to "well Yusuke did this-" or even tried to push blame on Ann "she was asking for it" just kinda cemented my already growing dislike for Ryuji. Don’t say sorry about multiple sent asks, I don’t mind kfdsjla;fja As for the answer, I want to say yes and no, but really it’s just “yes with a side note attached.” Yeah, it’s ok to not like a char because of their fans, but I think it’s as long as you know why you dislike the char beyond the fans (well tbh, imo it’s usually the crazy fans so I think stans is a better word, but even then there’s diff stans). And tbh, I....can’t....think of a character I don’t like that the fandom/fanbase does....but I know nothing about the char all the while (closest and most recent example this....is....I know people dislike that grey haired moe blob on twitter even tho I don’t think they watched the show, and while I’m not a fan of the moeblobness I don’t know anything about the char so I’m personally not upset). I can only name chars I don’t like because of what happens in the text, fandom be damned (but sometimes they don’t help). Which is why it’s a yes with a side note. If you don’t like the char despite not knowing them.....probably get to know the char first even if your impression is clouded by the fandom....at least you gave the char a chance.

I say this because.....it’s hard....it’s hard to keep them separated, unless you completely isolate yourself from the fandom (which is basically impossible if you wanna keep up with news, even the comment section is part of the fandom tbh...and you might be looking down their for diff reasons). And then.....well...the big reason....sometimes seeing the fans really highlights the reasons you dislike the char. That’s what happened to me and Makoto, specifically cause of....a certain fan (and buddy if you happen to see this, nothing against you, no bad blood, def won’t mention your name I respect you and the debates we had)....AND TO THE TUMBLR READERS WHO GET NERVOUS: It wasn’t on this website in case anyone is freaking out so if you’re thinking “Oh god it’s me” it is most likely not you (tho I think we do know each other on here cause of usernames/saw each other in passing but we def aren’t mutuals last time I checked), and while I do respect that person.......my god did they highlight the reasons I had issues with P5 and Makoto. Ironically in trying to defend her and show off her good sides, I realized the writing issues more and more and her bad sides became more glaring. It turned my frustrating dislike and attempt to try to work out my issues with her and P5 (ironically “working out” in hindsight would’ve been me....denying and refusing to look at P5′s flaws) into....well......the salt factory you know today. (same thing happens with like......Yukari and Junpei fans too tbh...that’s more recent tho, it feels like they are just downplaying their negatives constantly and I’m not about that). Basically, you probably have issues already, they are just more pronounced now. 

As for “look at the character”....you kinda already are doing that, and that’s probably where your existing issues originated from (tho if someone wants a more in depth reason as to why, while you DON’T OWE them an explanation, it is also hard for someone to understand your feelings and reasons if you don’t try to explain). 

As for Ryu, yea, I getcha, I like the guy, I’m neutral positive on him....was my best bro but he’s 2nd best thanks to post-Kamo writing. I like him because of his positives, but I always keep his negs in mind because. Cause like while I agree with the fans IT MAKES NO SENSE! P5′S WRITING IS BAD! it happened, same as I agree that Anne kicking Ryu’s ass, along with the other girls, is shitty. Hate the scene, and I accept that it happen (low key gonna start some kinda 2nd wave war with this bs cause the fandom be like that, but I’m really surprised no one took Anne smacking Ryu behind the neck cause he was being too loud as super offensive and abuse.......it’s def something a friend might do, not like belting him just a tap, and it’s framed as chill and also as warning him to reign in the volume control, but high key surprised no one has tried to cancel her cause of that). BUT that DOESN’T mean it erases all the creepy stuff he’s done. Is he the goodest boi when he’s being good? The best. Is he always a good boi? No, he def is not. And hearing that he is can be frustrating to people that do see his flaws (cause they are there). And like....you are 100% able to like a character despite and because of their flaws, while also accepting they have those flaws. I do it with Yosuke, Ryuji (for the most part), Teddie, Shinji, Ken, Kanji (when he’s not around Naoto, then he’s in a trash can for me), P1/2 casts, Aigis, Mitsuru, as long as the flaws are within reason and are treated pretty well....then I’m ok with it. (again, Kanji/Ryu have moments when I’m like....NOPE! but when they aren’t doing the bad thing I’m cool with them). As long as the flaws are withing reason (aka they aren’t making a jerk person out to be the person in the right, or the writing is trying to sweep what they did under the rug, or trying to force us into empathizing with them despite what they did while also trying ot sacrifice empathy towards another char.....*cough*Makoto/Yukari/Junpei*cough* if the writing isn’t doing that...... I’m probs neutral to pos on them). 

Like I’m fine if they are criticizing the writing and being like “Him doing this makes no sense cause it conflicts with the good boi we’ve already seen!” That’s a-ok! Not only do you recognize your char has flaws, you also are able to identify issues with the writing. But saying “so I’ll choose to ignore that scene” isn’t....ok. Because sadly it did happen, as contradictory it did happen. AU it all you want, but you have to accept it happened outside of that AU. Like, I don’t like the Mika conflict in Anne’s CoOp, by which I don’t like how it went down (100% fine with Mika, and there being conflict with her). How it the whole thing started doesn’t make sense if you put MainStory!Anne in her CoOp. MS!Anne can read the room and other people’s emotions (only other person capable of that is Haru, or at least with Mona), hell she was so good at it she noticed something was up with Shiho without Shiho telling her about it! The issue was the fact Anne’s not a mind reader and could only assume the issue Shiho was going through that Anne was aware of (and that was her spot on the team). Now MS!Anne is not like Yosuke, she doesn’t put her foot in her mouth. She’s not like Naoto who can’t read the room. She’s not super eloquent, but can empathize and when she can interact with people she can do it pretty well. So why the hell does she basically not think before talking and insult Mika? Sure Anne’s not GREAT at school, but she’s not a moron, she can talk to people. But her CoOp makes her a moron all around, 100% airhead, and that’s how her issues with Mika start, by not thinking before talking and accidentally insulting her via blatantly “not caring” about the job to a full time person......it’s stupid, it makes no sense, I hate it. But it’s there, the flaw might not be present in the main story, but for the all around character (cause CoOps are included) it is now and I just have to deal with it. We can bitch about it all day (and trust me I will) but it happened. Basically never frame it as “it didn’t happen,” but instead “It SHOULDN’T HAVE happened.” One is denial, the other is critiquing the text. 

Anyway my rant aside, yeah I hate it when...well Ren/Ryu/Yusuke (no one’s said Mona yet, cause....well yeah...which is good they haven’t labeled him as it yet tho), are labeled as “drinking respect women juice” and I’m like “I have one to a few women who would disagree.” I know some people will argue Goro is drinking it, and imo he’s not....he’s just eating the “I don’t discriminate sandwich” which is different. And yeah the “But Yusuke-” yeah yeah we’ll get to him, but right now we’re talking about RYUJI. I’m not a fan of derailing a topic *war flashbacks* *shivers* anyway. But yeah I remember that debate, I was probably one who was like “We’ll get to Yusuke but right now we’re talking about Ryuji” and pushing the blame onto Anne is disgusting and Kamo Arc!Ryuji would be very upset. >:( (btw high key I think I was the first one who started the first anti-makoto war wave with me saying “yeah Anne shouldn’t have apologized Makoto started it and blah blah she was an ass” not the exact words but basically just calling her out on her shitty behavior cause the game certainly didn’t......tho as Miley Cyrus would say.....”I didn’t mean to start a waaaaaar~!” I actually wrote my first Persona Problems on that topic.......but it got lost in the drafts....my photo examples kept getting messed up which is bad considering the whole post really relied on them....I should try to dig it up tbh....)

Tldr/short answer: Yeah, you probably already have issues with the char to begin with tbh, and the fanbase can highlight those issues more. It’s also hard to escape the fanbase (I see stuff I don’t wanna see despite trying my hardest to avoid certain circles, it just happens).

his stage name is wow, but its hard to take seriously so the fandom just calls him sehyoon lmfao. it used to be seyoon but when he went on mixnine, he revealed sehyoon was the official romanization so here we are lmao. even if your bias isn’t sehyoon…it’s sehyoon. he’s just that guy ya feel me?? anyways sehyoon is a relatively quiet and reserved guy, but his members really pull out the dork in him, i love it so much?? he doesn’t talk much but when he does all of a.c.e directs their full attention to him to listen, its really sweet, hes pretty awkward with people but you can tell he just feels so safe and comfortable with ace it honestly warms my heart. he’s the main rapper and main dancer, but!! our multitalented man is also a vocalist. yes, you heard, me, the main rapper can sing, and really well at that. (if you scroll up back to the flashlight and dont recall covers, you can see more of his voice.)

But now that I read your ask, I went back to see the parts you pointed out, and it’s like… 50-50 for me. I understand where you were coming from with 1 and 4, but for 2 and 3 like you said, I believed he was in a really good mood (he said the concert was good),  thanks to that we have him being his cute natural self with extra aegyo. And for the English part, when I was watching without the subs, I vaguely guessed that he said so because he hadn’t appeared on Vlive for a long time, which is why he’s sorry to us (for not going live for so long), and he misses us, loves us too (can you believe I screamed after he finished every single sentence, because I actually understood what he said TT_TT). And the subs confirmed my guess so I didn’t question it anymore.

We also talked about texting above right, I believe he was texting most of the time in the 1st part too. Like you can tell he was listening to Jin but he wasn’t really there until Jin repeated himself and called for Jimin’s attention. The thing is we don’t know who he texted with. I didn’t notice that “are you watching?” thing, but now that you said it I felt… weird too. But it’s not strange for Jimin to suddenly say those things, is it? (suddenly I feel like I have a memory loss, it’s like my head is preventing me from questioning anymore haha)

But well, let’s think about it carefully. You know, Jimin is the most conscious of his image, right? He’s very cautious, and careful. Do you think he’d risk texting his (supposed) girlfriend in front of hundred thousand fans watching? I don’t. Let’s say we can’t see his screen, we don’t know who he was texting, but we’d question it, like you and I did, right? It’s too risky imo. Besides, if it’s actually his lover, don’t you think Jin or the staff/cameraman would do something about it? They wouldn’t just sit there and let him text his gf for like 10 minutes on live broadcast, at least that’s what I wouldn’t do, if I cared about my member and my group. But again, it could be that they didn’t think of this too seriously, which I doubt. Jin didn’t seem pissed at all when Jimin was distracted, perhaps he’s used to it, or perhaps he knew it’s sth important to Jimin (could be his family members).

The thing is, you and I will never know. We can only suspect. But what is important to me is not the fact that he is dating or not. I’m the most worried if it gets out, because they’re still growing, and they can be much bigger than they are now, including Jimin himself. I just don’t want things like this to hinder him. Even tho I ship Jikook/Kookmin hard, that doesn’t mean there’s not a part in me which reminds me that he can always date a girl (or a guy, if we’re careful, but I strongly doubt there’s any other guy except Jeon Jungkook), and even more than that. My exp with Kpop for years lets me know that being busy or having no time can just be an excuse. They can always find time for things like that, if their lovers are patient or dedicated enough. That’s what I hope as well, if he ever dates anyone, I just hope that one is a good person, and can take care of him mentally. He’s insecure and needs constant reassurance and supports, things fans can’t really provide if we’re not by his side physically.

All in all, thank you for sharing your observation with me. Let’s just… let it go, I guess? It could be an ugly truth, but we can never know. If he’s happily dating someone, I’m happy for him (tho inside me it’ll still hurt a bit, just a little bit ^^~)
