good morning to mikoto kayano (more like afternoon now but shh)
#⋯ ꒰ა starry thoughts ໒꒱ *·˚#⋯ ꒰ა milgram ໒꒱ *·˚#listening to his songs on repeat. uhm. what else. uhm. RIGHT i've seen all the stuff for him now then (except listening to audio drama)#i saw someone say that yk ofc w did it's a bit of a negative stereotype for uh...... putting a guy like him in a thing like Milgram#which i really agree w ofc and so. i rmbr reading about did a long time ago but i did so again recently bcs ^^ !!#hmm. i saw someone say that it could be possible that his 'innocent' self (the one who's such a normal guy!) is actually the alter#formed from his guilt...............? or it could be the opposite still. tho ^^ would make it more interesting and less stereotypical#thinking about it more i don't think they'll go into that direction. but it WOULD be interesting. but i doubt that's what will go on#OHHHH I LOVE THE INSTRUMENTAL OF MIKOTO'S COVER SO MUCH. idk if there's even an instrumental out#i'm just paying attention to the instruments. i love doing that w all songs gjhebjgh my fav is amatsu kaze bcs of the bass <3#ALL SONGS TBH. anyways OFF-TOPIC HELP UHM. yeah i love natsuki hanae's voice dude's really good at that stuff n all#hm.......... i think there's three rather than two yeah (red blue green). as in. two alters (btw i read a translation of the drama audio)#now the thing is it's not really confirmed which alter is yk! i'm guessing the 'blue' is the one 'registered' for milgram. ofc#it's hard to say which ones are the Alters though...... but if we're going off what it SEEMS to (most likely) be. green and red r d alters#hm. hm. hm. i can't believe i just woke recently and after talking w classmates/groupmates rq after being TRICKED#i'm already rambling...... wow what'd you expect from me tbh <//3#anyways mikoto is so funny honestly. he's really this normal guy silly little guy and he gave them all nicknames#and thinks this is a reality tv show of sorts and he doesn't think they're all murderers. 'they're all normal!!' it's funny tbh#but him being wary of kotoko and kazui and shidou... i agree w. but also. i think that says. smth?#hm. anyways. it's interesting how the switch to the one who can harm es happened. hmm#i have my ideas and i think they align with what i've mostly read online! but also i don't really know. but yeah#it was really funny how he turned back ino 'i'm just a normal guy!' after that though#interesting how people voted him guilty. ig it was kinda obvious but as someone who - from all that i've heard -#did think he had did from the very start... i wonder if guilty is the best choice. if you uh get me#but even if i thought differently it's not as if a difference would have been there </3 i'm just one girl (nier reference)#hm. i think guilty works tbh. it shows more about him than innocent would have. it makes me feel quite bad for him tho#from listening to the character voice trailer for 2nd trial. he's kinda. yeah. tbh i feel bad for him in general#but also there's so much unknown about him and i am SO curious. and the most excited for his songs.... months from now <//3#me going to listen to his preview alone on repeat so true. i am obsessed w him actually. he's so silly he's so funny and normal but also NO

house and wilson r both autistic and on complete opposite ends of the spectrum
(bear with me here i'm autistic myself and it's hard to articulate my thoughts)
wilson masks heavily. he knows he's different than everyone else and he tries so desperately not to be. he wants to be seen as a normal guy. he's the furthest thing from it but nobody needs to know that if he can help it. he knew he was different since he was a kid and it upset him. he worked so hard to create an image of himself that is palatable. he is very concious abt it. he clings to normalcy. his knuckles r white and his nails r digging into it. the only person he is ok with letting go of it for is house. house is is safe space. house is the one person he knows will not care if he acts a little different.
house, however, doesn't mask very much at all. if he wanted to, he probably could (although i also partially think he couldn't) but he doesn't. he just doesn't give a shit. he doesn't care abt what ppl think and he doesn't rlly care how he affects them either. he says what is on his mind. he is the way he is and he feels no shame for it. social rules r stupid and he doesn't respect them. he doesn't respect any rules.
wilson is primarily sensory avoident. he likes peace and calm. he especially doesn't like visual overstimulation. he likes things to be neat and pristine. when his space is organized, he can function. his environment influences the state of his head.
house is very sensory seeking. he thrives in chaos. he needs the outside world to be as fast and loud and hectic as his mind is. he needs noise and things to look at and something in his hand (his stupid red autism ball). he's never doing nothing when he's thinking. he likes soap operas and crappy reality tv partially because it's good background noise. it doesn't take up much brain power, but it's still a constant noise.
wilson has big body language. he is very expressive. i know this is rlly bc rsl is a stage actor and that's what they do but. let me have this. but that's just how he is. every symptom of autism exists on its own spectrum. some autistics have a very flat affect, very little body language, and very little expressions. some (wilson) have the exact opposite.
house doesn't outwardly show many of his emotions. he definitely feels them, they're very intense, but he doesn't display them. he isn't expressive, and it's not by choice. that's just naturally how he is.
this is more of a headcanon but whatever. wilson likes stim toys. he stims subtly (part of him trying to cling to normalcy. he needs to stim and he knows that but he won't do anything like hand flapping or rocking.), like with a fidget cube or one of those spinny rings. when he's alone, he'll sometimes let himself stim in bigger ways and it's a great release. he doesn't rlly need to stim as much as house does tho. also i think he'd love pressure and cuddling for stimulation. he'd like to be squished.
house is always stimming. this isn't a headcanon. this man is always doing something! pacing, playing with his ball, listening to music, he's always doing something for some sort of stimulation. he likes vestibular stimming and big full body stims best. he likes to move and do things. he likes to be busy. a fidget toy won't do much for him. he was a pretty active person before the infarction, and that was a great release for his emotions. but now he can't do the things he used to so he needs to constantly be moving. he doesn't get a big release so he's just constantly letting it out.
they're both very particular abt their ways of living, but they do not live the same way. wilson likes calm, house likes chaos. if this is disturbed, they get upset and distressed.
wilson has more shutdowns, house has more meltdowns. not to say they don't have both, tho.
also i feel the need to say this: house's special interest is humanity. he loves puzzles and humans are the greatest one of them all. everything he does is motivated by his need to know why people do what they do. oh and also monster trucks.

I think one of the things I love most about family AU satosugu ATM is just because of the way the canon went we never got to see characters have normal happy lives and I love thinking about that. I adore @ziyuanyuan1113 art for this reason (among many). All those perfect little normal family moments that never got to be.
So here's my fave headcanons atm ( @thequeenofsarcaasm and @uotuok might notice a few we discussed today 😅)
Geto and Nanako have dad daughter time where they watch reality TV. Geto is the cattiest bitch known to man and is always horrifically brutal about the show and Nanako loves it. Megumi always says reality TV is garbage and he would never watch it but he always somehow ends up making his coffee in the kitchen the exact moment it's on and stands there making comments. If they mention how he seems to be rather invested he will leave without a word so now they make no comment on him.
When the kids are quite young Gojo comes home to find Tsumiki, Nanako and Mimiko in princess dresses and Geto wearing a crown with his hair being braided. Megumi hands Gojo a crown and explains that they're two films deep into a princess party and have just watched Tangled and he wants to kill them all, he has also been forced into a princess dress. Gojo instantly puts on the crown. Days later they catch Megumi singing "I've got a dream" to himself as he plays with his toys despite having described the princess party as traumatising.
Shoko is a big part of the kids lives, she takes them out when Geto has his therapy appointments and Gojo is on a mission, she spends long weekends with them when she can and her and their group chat is filled with pictures of the kids being adorable or memes.
Geto and Gojo get into routines and home life after years of arguing about household chores. Gojo has to be taught how to tidy properly and constantly forgets. It is always somehow the dishwasher that is the main culprit as he always forgets to check if something is dishwasher safe and he has unfortunately destroyed so many of their kitchen items.
Geto and Gojo do skin care routines together and love relaxing and listening to murder podcasts while they give each other manicures/pedicures, Gojo used to get it all done professionally but much prefers the time with his husband though they keep figuring out the murders are definitely just local curses in their podcasts so that ruins it a bit. Megumi caught Geto sorting out Gojo's ingrown toenail in the front room once and told them to get a room, a disgusted look on his face as Gojo yelled that they did, they'd paid for the whole house actually???
The satosugu house has a family dinner night once a month which everyone attends including Megumi who moved out to be at Jujutsu high. This is usually done by Tsumiki and Gojo as they love doing recipes together from Pinterest and cooking together. The twins are not great at cooking. Nanako cannot make toast without burning it, Mimiko finds it stressful and doesn't like to try. Megumi on the other hand is amazing at cooking but finds his family too loud as there is always music and Geto and Gojo dancing together and embarrassing him.
Later down the line Megumi finds his favourite method of cooking is he and Yuji in their kitchen in their flat with lofi on in the background, enjoying each others company. He finds he doesn't mind the noise or even dancing so long as it's just him and Yuji, and sometimes Nobara if she's staying over. (Nobara is not allowed to cook. She causes fires)

Total Drama Psycho Noah AU, during the TDWT London Episode... What if Noah doesn't call the hidden Alejandro an eel, instead Alejandro and the other hidden Contestants saw Noah briefly showed his true insane colors to defeat the 'Ripper', with a big psychotic grin?... How would Alejandro feel about trying to bring up Noah's insane side, but Noah keeps denying it (and so does Owen, because Noah asked him to)? 😏
Psycho!Noah, under the assumption that he's alone with only Owen and the camera as his witnesses, going Full On Mania Mode on the Ripper? That's a fun thought.
I think, given the fact that he's on a Reality TV Show in the first place, this Noah would be upfront to the audience that he's... a little unhinged. Maybe he cracks a few jokes in the confessional (either during Island or World Tour) about his eccentricities, or maybe he really plays up the 'crazy' to paint himself as a wolf in sheep's clothing for the audience?
The second option there would probably work more in his favour, since him Just Being There would be a source of dramatic irony for the audience- something to keep people watching in anticipation, waiting for Noah's mask of mundanity to slip. He'd be 'good for ratings'.
I've decided that's the characterisation I'll go with. Psycho!Noah hides his true self from the contestants but, knowing that he'll be recorded 24/7, doesn't bother disguising himself for the audience- his nature will inevitably be exposed to them anyway, so why not cut out the middle man? At least this way, he gets the added pleasure of toying with the viewer's expectations.
-
So, given the fact that the only people he thinks are seeing him are people already in the know, what's stopping Noah from letting loose a little?
Nothing. Nothing's stopping him.
He and Owen step onto the double decker bus, the larger teen tiptoeing almost timidly onto the vehicle in his trepidation, whilst Noah follows casually behind him. He's a little disappointed, truly; horror themed challenges would be so much more interesting if they were, y'know, scary.
Luckily for him, things soon get interesting.
The shadowed figure of the Ripper drops from the ceiling with a thud behind Noah, assumedly crouched down on all fours like some sort of beast though it's hard to tell behind the inky, billowing cloak they're wearing. The motion would've been too fast for someone less capable to properly react to. Thankfully, Noah is very capable.
He pivots in place, catching the surprisingly fast arms of the Ripper before their taller frame can grapple him in his own deceptively strong grip, then forcibly bends the figure's arms until a sickening crack resounds through the bus's interior. The Ripper cries out a raspy animalistic shriek of pain, their forearms hanging uselessly limp out in front of them at awkward angles, and the clattering of something hitting the floor draws Noah's attention downwards. A knife, the Ripper's weapon of choice, gleams threateningly on the ground under the weak moonlight, having slipped from their incapacitated hand.
Well. That's certainly interesting.
Easing up his iron grip on the figure's disfigured arms, the cynic gingerly bends down to swipe the knife from the floor, then straightens back up triumphantly as he brandishes his new found weapon.
"Noah?" Owen's meek voice echoes from behind him. The bookworm tilts his head towards the other, who's fear-blown gaze is fixated on the sharp object in his unstable friend's unpredictable clutches.
The Ripper, momentarily subdued, continues to whine and groan in pain beside him.
"What's up, bud?" He responds, voice conversationally light and airy- a stark contrast to the Ripper's agonised gargles.
"Is- is that a knife?" The larger asks in a wavering tone. Noah isn't sure if it's the fear of himself with a sharp object, or the frankly pathetic display from the figure beside him, that's causing his best friend's hesitance. But he knows Owen- the big lug is a hardy sort, he won't stay scared for long.
"Hmm," Noah hums playfully, toying with the weapon in his grip. Feeble beams of moonlight shine and shimmer from it's blade, illuminating their surroundings in spectres of milk light, "Yeah, I think it is. Good eye, big guy."
A moment of tense silence passes between the two (somewhat ruined by the Ripper's incessant snivelling), before Owen's face splits into a shaky smile.
"Do you want to, uh, maybe, put the knife down?" He suggests.
Noah shifts his focus back onto the tool in his grip, theatrically ruminating over his friend's suggestion as he raises his free hand to his chin in a pondering motion, whilst his piercing gaze subtly flickers around the bus to locate the nearest hidden camera. He spins the knife in his hand thoughtlessly as he searches, deftly twirling and weaving the blade between clever fingers, sending spirals of light dancing through the darkness of their enclosure.
Once he's spotted the tell-tale red blinking light of a recording camera, he careens his whole body to face it. His features soften into a serene smile, highlighted by trickles of pale moonlight, as he addresses the camera.
"No. Not really. It's quite pretty. Don't you think?"
Noah waits a heartbeat, keenly listening for a response that'll never come from the recording device, before his smile splits into something wider. Something that splinters around the edges of his face and crumbles through his mask of tranquillity, revealing glimpses of wild delirium through its cracks. Similarly, his amusement-crinkled eyes widen with mania, irises contracting into pinpricks of molasses against the white of his sclera.
"And wouldn't it look a lot prettier... in a different colour?" The pessimist halts the spinning of the knife with a flick of his wrist, letting the question simmer in the stale air of the bus.
The Ripper, having finally regained their bearings, stumbles to flee from the bus.
Well. That's not very interesting, is it?
In the blink of an eye, Noah is suddenly nose-to-mask with them, holding the blade millimetres from the figure's neck almost tauntingly as he traps them against the fogged over glass of the bus driver's window, "Red would look really pretty."
"Noah," Owen whines petulantly, "we're supposed to capture the Ripper, not kill him!" As if to punctuate his point, the blonde tugs at the edges of the burlap sack he's carrying, shooting an imploring look towards his little buddy.
"Oh, I forgot. Silly me!" Noah exclaims jovially, smacking at his sizable forehead with his free hand. The Ripper beneath him whimpers at the motion.
-
In the First Class cabin, the majority of the Total Drama contestants stand gobsmacked at the display they just witnessed. Varying expressions of disturbance and fright are dotted across the crowd, and the more sensitive of the group have turned varying shades of nauseated green or horrified white.
"What the fuck?"

Hellooo how are you I hope you're doing great
Since you loved my 9th member shit I'll let you have more of it ( I actually have a lot in mind about this topic so I'll go slowly hihihi)
What do you think about yandere minsung with sub! Fem! 9th member reader during tour and concerts where they see everyone screaming whenever she does something sexy and they want to show everyone else that she is theirs only.
----🦋 anon----
Hello, butterfly! I'm doing well enough, thank you❤ I have a weakness for yandere minsung, but if you add 9th member to it, it becomes even sweeter.
Do you see how in every concert, stage or program they're doing these two are always standing side by side or, at the very least, close enough to touch each other? Constantly having some sort of interaction, like eye contact? Yeah, that's basically it.
We've already stablished they go mad whenever she shows herself off for the crowds and become enraged when she's flown by comments about how gorgeous she is and people adoring her. That's supposed to be their job and she should only put on shows for them, but since they're idols, they can't exactly stop her from doing it.
When 9th member gets asked to do something sexy, maybe take off her jacket to show off her curves more or dance a seductive version of one of their songs, they're both turned on by her display and furious at realizing other people are seeing it. Hearing the mad screams of joy from the crowd, the loud petitions for her to do more, even the pick-up lines from the bravest fans, it all makes them have to physically restrain themselves to not drag her away from the spotlight in front of everybody and cause a scandal.
Instead, they decide to mark their territory by disguising it as "fanservice".
Remember this?
Tumblr media
Mind you, they were on stage receiving an award I think, being watched by millions of people, tvs focusing on them. Do you see they fucks they gave? Me neither.
They're bold as fuck. If they want to show the world how much they want each other, they'll do it. No one can stop them. They can excuse anything with "fanservice" and the fans will believe it.
They spent the remaining show glued to her side. Han hugs her from behind all the time, squeezing her waist with a cute smile that comes off as playful for the fans, but in reality, he's squeezing so hard he leaves prints of his fingers there. He touches all over pretending to be "play-fighting", but if someone looks close enough, they'll notice the certain roughness of his movements. How tight he grabs her, how he always go for all the exposed skin she displayed earlier, subtitly leaving small bruises there. How everytime he hugs her, he has an arm locked on her waist and the other wrapped around her neck, almost like he's caging her to prevent her from moving. She chuckles awkardly, worried fans might notice the intimate nature of it, but he doesn't relent.
Minho isn't any better. He pulls her closer by the waist and pretends to whisper something in her ear, while he's actually pulling up the collar of her outfit slightly to suck the skin there. When she tries to shy away, turns out she has Han right behind her, grabbing her by the shoulders and displaying a cute grin so the fans thinks it's all part of their antics. None of them realize how they're slowly inching closer and closer until their bodies are practically shielding her. They even push other members away softly when they try to interact with 9th member too, barely concealing the growing agitation.
They simply don't let her catch a break for the duration of the show. They keep leaving bruises and marks on her skin unnoticed, playing it off as a result of their playful "fanservice". When she asks them at some point in hushes whispers what the hell they're doing, she receives two pair of glares that are carefully hidden from the cameras and promise an entire night of punishment. She lets all of it happen, a small part of her enjoying it, but also feeling uncapable of resisting them. She's utterly under their control and they know, they know how compliant and obedient their sweet doll is. It's the people who have a problem, gawking their eyes at something they're not even worth looking at and foolishly thinking themselves deserving of begging for more of it, pushing her to break the rules.
The members know better than to intervene at this point. Luckily they can draw some of the attention to themselves and downplay anything as harmless fanservice. Minho doesn't relent his hold on her waist, brushing her cheeks with his nose and whispering dark promises in her reddening ears. Han has his arms wrapped around her shoulders from behind instead, tracing lines across her nape with his teasing lips, maybe biting from time to time.
All in front of everybody. Pretty much like in the picture. That level of closeness.
And obviously, the moment the guys are backstage to change clothes, she's being dragged to a secluded room to have that sinful outfit with which she pulled that whorish behaviour ripped off and makes sure she's unable to even move by the end of it, darkening the small bruises they left earlier and finally unleashing all the pent up energy they have been repressing since stage. They don't stop until she's mute and shaking in their arms, covered in their essence.

Fighting for my life every time someone is like "well Charlie is the princess of Hell, why can't she free Angel? she's obviously much more powerful than Valentino" like.
Like! No- she's literally not powerful! Her political power is negligible. Sinners degrade and laugh at her on live TV. She can't order Cannibal Town to help her; she had to convince them to willingly follow her for a reward of free, exotic food. Valentino does not see her as a threat. No one does. And she never demonstrates that she has any legitimate 'supernatural' power of her own that would be dangerous to any powerful Overlords with magical abilities of their own. Sure, she can transform into a more demonic form but what does she do with it? Not much! (She fights angels with a weapon like any other normie Sinner she convinced to fight with her)*
She's not Lucifer, with his reality-warping abilities. Her title comes from his and Lilith's, and she hasn't done anything to earn it herself. Why would Overlords see her as anything other than a nepotism baby?
Worse, Lucifer may be the ruler of Hell in name, but he doesn't do anything. He doesn't like Sinners. He's locked himself up in his palace for years. He isn't involved in Hell's political scene.
And the most damning: Overlords consider themselves sovereign rulers (they are described as such by Carmilla). They wouldn't have sovereignty if Lucifer and his daughter actually ruled above them.
*(I do know she has some sort of pyrokinetic ability but like, she still doesn't do anything with it.) (She punches Adam/catches his punch and he's surprised by it stopping him, but like, Lucifer is the ground in that scenario, he's holding her, and all it really proves is that Charlie can hold her arm straight and Lucifer isn't moved by the force Adam tried to hit them with. The physics of it all make it a little boring, I don't care, they're flying in the air and their punches don't move each other.) (Okay I will say: if that didn't make it obvious, I think this show absolutely sucks at portraying powers, supernatural or magical abilities, and the fights... Aren't good. Which very much might skew my perspective into saying "they aren't powerful, they kinda suck.") (It's underwhelming to me!) (But I care more about the politics anyway.)

ummmmm how about 3, 8, & 10 for fyonikonathan, montcott, and/or kunichuuzai (however you want to split the numbers and ships up lol)
also ily <333
fyonikonathan
3. Which one outlives the other, and how they cope
well. on one hand. fyodor. because [redacted]. you know how it is (<- said to everyone except corey). and they react by ignoring all of their feelings of course. on the other hand. nikolai. and he reacts like this and this
8. What they argue about
religion. nikolai being against it entirely ofc but i also just know fyodor and nathaniel are fighting about the nitpicky things like whether you should be dunked under the water forwards or backwards when you're baptized
10. What TV shows they watch together, and which ones they hide from the other
nikolai doesn't hide anything he watches. he's out here handcuffing both fyodor and nathaniel to the couch so they can watch all of riverdale and he is having a GREAT time. fyodor says he doesn't watch tv but does in fact rather enjoy soap operas. he and nathaniel watched the bible miniseries together to see if it was accurate or not and they took a great many precautions to make sure nikolai wouldn't interrupt. nathaniel actually doesn't watch much tv unless nikolai is forcing him to watch something. the three of them watch a lot of trashy reality tv together bc nikolai loves the drama and the other two are handcuffed to the couch again
montcott
3. Which one outlives the other, and how they cope
i think. probably louisa outlives lucy. and she doesn't handle it well. she wants to lock herself in a room and use her ability because that's always what she's done to avoid facing her problems, except that will only make her life stretch on longer, so she stops using her ability at all. louisa's religious beliefs are very,, she doesn't exactly know what she believes but if she does believe in anything, it tells her she isn't going to see lucy again because lucy definitely didn't believe in the same things as louisa so she can live for another million years or she could die right now and it wouldn't make any difference. she hopes there's no afterlife so she doesn't have to deal with missing lucy anymore. she hates what she believes in, but that doesn't make her stop believing it. she's having a very bad time.
8. What they argue about
their big argument before they sort things out is about lucy betraying the guild + louisa just standing by and doing nothing while everyone treated lucy like crap after the ada figured out her ability. once they get past that and rekindle their friendship/relationship, smaller things they argue about are whether or not reading is fun (louisa thinks yes; lucy thinks no) whether sticking pins/needles through the top layer of your skin is a fine thing to do (lucy thinks yes; louisa thinks no), how many stuffed animals is too many (lucy thinks there is no such thing; louisa would like some room on the bed for herself please), and also their differing opinions on fashion (lucy likes fun flashy things and louisa prefers simple outfits)
10. What TV shows they watch together, and which ones they hide from the other
lucy makes louisa watch reality shows that center around fashion/clothes with her (say yes to the dress, america's next top model). lucy also probably has watched keeping up with the kardashians but refuses to admit it. louisa prefers fictional tv shows, usually ones that take place in the real world but have magical elements (the librarians, witches of east end) but she's watched. a lot of different shows. bc growing up, she would use her ability to just read books/watch tv shows and movies to escape reality. she hides the fact that she's seen every episode of shows like riverdale and supernatural and sherlock bc they weren't that good but she enjoyed watching them anyway
kunichuuzai
3. Which one outlives the other, and how they cope
kunikida . i think. dazai and chuuya are going to go together and they're going to leave kunikida behind and he's going to be angry at first because it's easier than being sad. he doesn't cope well. he keeps forgetting they're not coming back this time.
8. What they argue about
whether a diet consisting entirely of canned crab is sustainable (dazai says yes, kuni and chuuya say no), whether or not wine is good (dazai says no, kuni and chuuya say yes), whether or not chuuya's hat ugly (dazai says yes, chuuya says no, kuni refuses to get involved in that one), whether they should get a dog (chuuya says yes just a small one, dazai says no because he doesn't like dogs and they're too much work, kunikida says no because chuuya you are ALLERGIC TO THEM), and also there has to be one big argument about kunikida's ideal partner and is he actually going to stay with chuuya and dazai or is he just wasting time while he waits for the Right Person to come along and he can leave them behind
10. What TV shows they watch together, and which ones they hide from the other
dazai makes the other two watch trashy reality tv and poorly-written dramas. chuuya pretends to hate it but ends up getting the most invested out of all of them. kunikida puts up with it because his partners enjoy it, and he likes seeing their reactions. dazai doesn't hide anything he watches. chuuya probably has one comfort cartoon they watch when they're having a bad day but will absolutely die before admitting as much. kunikida doesn't watch much tv in general, but he does sort of hide that he enjoys watching nature documentaries with kenji. it's not an on-purpose secret; he just never mentions it to dazai and chuuya

Do you have any mick and spooner friendship headcanons? Haven’t gotten that far into legends for spooner to be introduced but I honestly love her from what I know about her
[spoilers, then!!]
Tumblr media
they're besties to me. spooner is the type to respect loyalty, and she saw firsthand how deep mick's loyalty runs in his veins, and tiny powerful women of color just sort of flock to mick. where there's a mick rory there's going to be some strong non-white girl he towers over. i appreciate their scenes together so much, and mick at least trusted her enough to inspect his head when he was mpreg. and i think spooner kinda filled the mona-shaped hole in his heart after mona left the legends, yknow? :]
Tumblr media
they both fully believe in vampires. mick whittles spooner her own stake to conveniently have on her person at all times, just like he does, it's their version of friendship bracelets. friendship stakes
they constantly talk conspiracy theories
she gets him into reality tv, he likes the trashy overdramatized love triangle-y type ones, they're so stupid they're funny and filled with catty hot girls. spooner much more prefers her survival shows.
considering spoons didn't talk until she was six, she finds it pretty easy to understand what mick is trying to communicate with his little grunts and gestures, and doesn't really try to get him to use his words (unless it's, like, an emergency or something)
spooner is canonically asexual YIPPEE!!! i also view her as aromantic as well. i see mick on both of those spectrums. aroacespec bonding
on that note i also think spoons is mostly romance- and sex-repulsed, obviously mick is favorable toward both, but he skips through lovey-dovey or spicy scenes when they bingewatch together, and will break up an irl legends couple's pda if spooner starts looking too uncomfortable
they like doing shooting practice with his beer cans; spooner with normal guns, mick with his heat gun. she uses the cold gun for fun a few times, but prefers non-techy guns
also both of them are autistic and they stim by turning the safety of their guns on and off. it's a fun time.
mick gifts her insane tales of his juvy days as a troubled pyromaniac teen and spooner has some stories from being a foster kid
he is jealous of her hair and sometimes she catches him running his hands through it, she doesn't really mind but she jokes that one of these days he's just gonna skin it off 'er
that's all i got rn LOOK AT DEM !!!

I love ranking things I need to like, dump my Alastor shipping thoughts all over the place
radiodust: 2/10 I see why this was popular when it was just the pilot, but ugh uyrjdhgfhjskdfjhgfhjskkdfjghjkls I just don't see it. I love the way they interact on the old hunicast streams, not romantically but in the "get this disgusting spider away from me :))))" way, it's perfect. In fics, I do sorta enjoy Angel as a caretaker when Alastor is getting whumped, but that's about it.
radiostatic: 10/10 but in a one sided rivalry way, and the fact that they used to be friends????? omg. I thoroughly enjoy Vox being a massive simp and trying his hardest to get Alastor's attention as an enemy, and not even getting reciprocation. loser behavior. love it. he whacks off to glitched out pictures of alastor while cursing about how much he hates him the entire time.
radioapple: 10/10 i wouldn't have even CONSIDERED this pairing until Lucifer appeared and they randomly just decided They Are Gonna Fight. they are enemies to enemies. they'd kiss each other but only if they thought it would piss the other off. put them in a room together and they instantly start making petty arguments and insults. they are in a constant pissing contest and i wanna watch them like it's a drama tv reality show. there's hatesex and neither of them are happy about it.
radiorose: 9/10 i'm pretty on board with the rest of the fandom with this one, it's a qpr. I like the idea of Rosie being the one person he views as an equal, and someone he can be comfortable and intimate with. they have tea parties every weekend and gossip around like old ladies. they're like Kiss On The Cheek and Holding Hands sort of intimate, and more emotionally open. I think it's adorable and they look so good together. it's too soft of a ship for me to give a 10/10 to, i need violence and hate and horrors. married for tax benefits.
alastor x valentino: 0.5/10 i hate it so bad. but that .5 is just because there's a weirdly large amount of fics I loved with this ship as the premise, like I get excited seeing this in the relationship listings. (it's because all the fics are a non-con horrorfest-)
alastor x adam: -15/10 why. disgusting. the best alastor whump fics usually include him though, but I hate it as a pairing, it's only good because Alastor is getting his ass handed to him bloody and gored.
charlastor: 0/10 I see why people like it, but it is like a visceral Nope from me. I don't know why I dislike it but it just doesn't vibe with me whatsoever.
alastor x niffty: 2/10 there's a surprising lack of content from the canon and the fandom for this, so it's hard to even gauge their chemistry. i feel like it's a situation where alastor thinks of her like "oh yeah she's like my daughter I guess, i forget her name sometimes but she's kinda cute, I'm also a neglectful father, haha she's so silly"
alastor x husk: 0/10 no. i read like, one good fic for them and that's it they literally have nothing going for me.
alastor x mimzy: 3/10 needs more content and context. in old drafts they were actually dating but even then i just don't really see it? i need to see them hanging out casually to really feel the vibes. their friendship wasn't introduced in the best light, but i think it has cute potential.

Part 2 of a look at the new Genloss teaser except this part is just about the game on generationloss.tv
Pt 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
U start as this guy in a room he doesn't recongize, with a door that goes no where. Walking up to the static filled TV changes the scene to somewhere outside in a city.
You encounter two Friends
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One who says "you know you can't be out here like this", which goes along with my theory that the character Ranboo plays might be a former Showfall Media employee who went into hiding after learning too much.
And the other says "you have to be careful around here", which is a bit vaguer, might imply this is a generally shady part of town.
I think there's a chance these might be the characters Charlie and Sneeg play. Though, admittedly the only real proof of that is the fact one of them is wearing green and the other blue. And we know they're also somehow involved in The Show.
The next screen is the most intresting. You run into a stranger who tells you to go check out the dumpster after it makes a weird clinking sound
Tumblr media
This character, unlike everyone else, has a red censor over his face instead of black. Which is probably relevant somehow.
Anyways, you move the dumpster, and this appears
Tumblr media
Some kinda. Pulsing red blob. Maybe a portal? Maybe this is the infinity we've been told to look into?
Staring into it leads you to some sort of glitchy run down and red-hue'd version of the world. And each character says something in binary when talked to.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I kinda want to say this is what role each of them will play, but I'm not sure I'm convinced of that as I think the Stranger might actually be a Showfall Media guy. But we'll get back to that in a second.
Next, you go stand on that button, and the glitchy screen transition that has been there for each major scene change ends with the old TV 'click' animation. Followed by this text
Tumblr media
"You don't know what this is..."
I believe this "you" is referring to the audience (aka, us :D) once more, and how they don't understand the full reality and consequences of The Show.
Now. I think the normal half of the city part might be a replay of whatever lead to His disappearance (His/He/Him being Ranboos character for future reference, because im still on the fence about him being The Hero)
As we start with two friends warning him, followed by a stranger leading him to something strange that seems to link him to another world, something which seems to align with some of the phrasing in the Keynote video, which talked about connecting to a new frontier and said "this world" instead of like, "our world" or "the world".
And this might be what led to Him truly going missing (if I was right about the missing posters from Showfall Media being to help catch Him, not find Him.)
Which is why I'm not sure if the titles for each character is accurate. Because a character that led Him to being taken to another world isn't a Savior in any typical context.
Along with if I'm right about the green-shirted friend who warns Him that it's not safe to be out here being Charlie's character, why would that character be The Villain.
Blue-shirt who could be Sneeg being The Taken makes sense though. As the pictures of him and Charlie appeared in the Keynote with the words "Found them!" On screen, which could mean they were. You know. Taken.
Though perhaps. Stranger might be a Savior... to Showfall Media, and green-shirted friend could be a Villain to them.
And also the reason I don't know if He/Ranboos character is the Hero, is because he's the one we see being chained and electrocuted or something in the video with the description "Help Him - H". H could possibly mean "Hero".
And also I'm fairly certain ooc Ranboos vaguely implied the protagonist we follow might not be him.
Okay that's all I got rn. If anyone else wants to chime in with their own ideas, go crazy.

what is your comfort media? like a book, show, movie, a race ect. (ps, i liked ur suggestions too!!)
amazing question, i've got a whole list anon!! i'll try to sort this into categories so it doesn't get too chaotic.
movies
die wilden hühner (trilogy). i have seen these films countless times, i've laughed and cried at them countless times and they make me immeasurably happy. i rewatch them at least once a year. i can't put into words how much i love them. (the third one lacks a little bit of the magic of the first two, but it's still amazing.)
vorstadtkrokodile (trilogy). a very close second, i saw them for the first time in primary school and have rewatched them many times since. the theme song used to make me feel invincible and hannes was one of my first ever crushes (i think i already said this in a tag game some time ago). (the first one is definitely the best!! the third one especially kinda doesn't have the same feeling to it, but i still love them all.)
sherlock holmes movies (the ones with rdj and jude law). something about them just tickles my brain right and i could watch them on a loop.
shows
deadliest catch (reality tv). there's nothing inherently comforting about it, quite the opposite actually, but i was obsessed with this show as a kid and if i had the opportunity now, i'd still be watching it all the time. it's so fascinating to me and just the right amount of engaging to not be overwhelmed, but also not get bored. that being said, as with all things, i did get very attached to the people in the show and cried several times over the course of it when some of them passed away.
books
the gemstone trilogy by kerstin gier. my most reread books by a country mile. are they perfect? no. are they perfect to me? yes. i gobbled these up the first time around and they're my go-to remedy for a reading slump. the only thing i don't like is the ending 💀 there is a movie trilogy that was made based on the books and they rewrote the ending, but it's still bad lol. (the second book, sapphire blue, is my favourite out of the three!)
youtube videos
the man, the myth, the legend, mike's mic. specifically, his appropriately unhinged recap of pretty little liars. top tier rewatch material. he's hilarious and i could listen to him speak for hours. have i ever watched pll? no. everything i know about it, i've learned from mister microphone and i'd like to keep it that way.
this performance of swan lake. i don't know anything about ballet and i'm not really that interested in it, but something about this is so soothing and relaxing to me. and, obviously, the music fucking slaps. tchaikovsky really ate with this.
honourable mentions
carlos sainz's interview on the 'p1 with matt & tommy' podcast has helped me fall asleep more times than i'll ever admit.
yakari was probably my favourite show as a child. it's been many years since i've last watched it and it would possibly bore or even annoy me now since it's tailored to small kids, but i can still recite a worrying amounts of episodes' content by memory.
from the bottom of my heart, i am sorry this got so long lmao. thanks for the ask, this was a really fun one!!

also what about the wammy boys guilty pleasure movies that they'd never admit to anyone they watched?
GREAT QUESTION. honestly i think Mello is the only one that has enough shame to have something that truly fits into this category. Matt and Near will just fully outright admit to theirs. also, i somehow ended up answering this for TV shows instead of movies bc for some reason that just came more easily to me (SORRY LMAO). that being said:
Near: imo really enjoys romcoms and / or romantic dramas. actually, here, have a snippet to this effect:
Upon deciding to become serious about his efforts to woo Mello, Near— brilliant though he was— made the dubious decision to turn to the world of romantic comedies and dramas to inform his methodology. Such media was popular, and Near thought it stood to reason that the popularity was an indication that the movies and television shows he selected would educate him on the typical progression of healthy romantic relationships. He focused on media which involved enemies or rivals who became lovers, as that was the very situation he found himself in. After obtaining DVDs of everything which he needed— having coerced Roger into purchasing them for him— Near was uncertain where to begin, and thus selected a TV series at random.
The television show, Near found, was absolutely brilliant. It was, he thought, the finest piece of storytelling he had ever come across in his life. In reality, it was mediocre at best, but Near was so ecstatic at the possibility of hatred turning to love being depicted onscreen that he was rendered incapable of critical thinking. Even better than the plot— which was, again, middling— was the idea that it bestowed on Near.
He wasted no time in implementing his plan. In fact, he paused the television show before the scene even ended; if he had watched the entire thing, he would have learned that the method which he was about to employ failed catastrophically and resulted in another five episodes of will-they-won't-they nonsense. Clueless to the fact that the action he was about to take was not endorsed even by the twisted minds responsible for his new favorite show, Near sought Mello out and asked to speak with him alone.
Mello: secret affinity for soap operas. when he's younger he would not admit this under threat of torture; by the time he's 25, he will literally remind Matt and Near that they need to stop playing Kirby Air Ride by 4PM because that's when his show comes on. i think it's charming if he got into telenovelas specifically during his time in Los Angeles; at first maybe he would tell himself it was just to unwind and practice his Spanish a little extra (not like he truly needs to) but he is for real deeply invested. since this doesn't answer your real question, i'll say i think he also (post-kira) really likes it's a wonderful life (for the second-chance sort of narrative etc) but he won't watch it with anyone bc it makes his eyes water very slightly for reasons he would rather not examine or unpack.
Matt: soap operas, too, but more than that, reality TV. i also think Matt would enjoy bad Hallmark movies, not necessarily in a fully sincere way but not in a purely ironic way, either. he knows they're stupid but for real finds them fun and entertaining. i think he has no problem admitting all of these.

Okay I stumbled across your blog and I love it! 💖💖 I was reading your Isekaied farmer headcannons and it reminded me of an idea thats been living rent free in my head for too long now! Isekaied farmer but the world they are from is the bachelor(ette)'s favorite TV show?? Like they are the bachelor(ette)'s favorite fictional character kinda thing?? Idk do with it what you like I just needed to share!!
Bachelor(ette)s x Isekaied Character from Their Favourite TV Show
Firstly, I'm so sorry for the wait! Secondly, SKJHDSF thank you!!! Such a cool idea, I'd love to write for it! <3
Tumblr media
Bachelors:
Sam
Somehow isn't freaking out. He's way to focused on the fact that his favourite character is standing right in front of him! He immediately takes you to his place and explains everything he can about how your reality is supposed to be purely fictional in this universe. He wants to hear everything!
Elliott
At first, he thinks you're just an amazing cosplayer and actor. But once you explain to him what's going on, he has a bit of a crisis. The directors of the show created something and clearly it became real, so does what he creates become real too? All the battles, deaths, heartaches - did it all really happen to someone, somewhere? Is he at fault?
Sebastian
Spits out his coffee when he sees you. Absolutely dumbfounded. For the first time in ten years, he goes up to a stranger and invites them to talk. He explains everything in perfect detail. You guys are well on track to finding out what's up. To be honest, he gets over it pretty quickly and learns to like you for who you are here, not there!
Harvey
Spits Out His Coffee Two: Electric Boogaloo. This guy also has a crisis, but not for the same reason as Elliott. His is more because this proves the existence of the multiverse, the ability to travel between them, and probably some cosmic entity that brought you here (or a truck). Super on edge around you, but he doesn't dislike you in any way. He's just nervous on how to get close to you.
Shane
He's super interested in what you have to say about your world. There's only so much a set can provide for worldbuilding. You two get drunk and talk about how different it must be living here now. I HC this man is too drunk/sleep deprived/annoyed to care about anything. He's just like 'alright. Well, that's gonna give me a crisis,' and goes about his day.
Alex
His brain is overloaded with information. He can barely comprehend letters in math. What is this? Why is the cute character from my favourite show moving into town? Am I dreaming? Probably! He becomes sort of protective of you. I mean, if you came here enemies might have as well!
Bachelorettes:
Penny
She's super flustered to see you. You're definitely from an obscure book from an even obscurer library so nobody but her recognises you. You'd certainly have to be the one to approach her. She's very cautious in helping you with your isekai issue, fearing it may mess things up even further.
Leah
Sweet Yoba, it's Bob Ross you! She walks up to you immediately pretending to not notice that you're her favourite character. She waits until you confide in her to admit she's known the whole time. She knows it must be pretty confusing for you, and she wants to give you time.
Abigail
Long, giddy stares from across the room. Everybody thinks she has a thing for you, when in reality she's just so excited to have the coolest person ever in the same room as her! A person who, frankly, shouldn't even exist! Very open with the isekai thing, talking about it in public (and getting confused stares as she does).
Maru
Before she says hello, she takes a few weeks to try and figure out why and how this has happened. When she eventually comes to the conclusion that she doesn't know, she invites you over and shows you the episodes you're featured in, explaining all the knowledge she has on the situation. Although she'd like to, she knows she can't risk just letting you stay.
Emily
She screams with delight at seeing you. A few others probably recognise you as well, so they're not as judgmental when she runs to you with open arms and wraps you in a big hug. Gives you a big tour of town and explains everything you need to know, even how to do a handshake.
Haley
She will NEVER approach you. It's just lots of confused staring from across the fountain or room. Is that really them? It can't be! When you talk to her, she's really awkward and flustered. I mean, who wouldn't be? It's you! Despite never talking to you however, she does make an active effort to be near you.
-~-~-
Once again, sorry for the wait! I really like this prompt. Thank you for the ask! <33

“Mitsuri can do better” geez Sabito aren’t you being a little hard on the guy?😅 considering her ex i would say obanai is a definite upgrade
Gosh it's been so long since I received this I am so sorry-
You're right, Iguro is most definitely an upgrade, but the bar is Very Low. I like to think that the sparring buddies (sabito, mitsuri, rengoku and uzui) had a drunken trauma dump session where Mitsuri's ex became hashira enemy #1.
Sabito doesn't get along great with Iguro due to a clash in key principles: he thinks everyone deserves respect for being a slayer, whereas Iguro thinks the weak are pathetic. Sabito sees Iguro's treatment of the other slayers and dislikes him for it. Iguro knows Sabito doesn't like him and dislikes him back for it. They're professional in front of the master though.
While Rengoku agrees with Sabito, he doesn't dislike Iguro. He is an official Obamitsu shipper: he sees how happy Mitsuri is with him and how uncharacteristically soft Iguro is.
Sabito wants her to be happy and Iguro treats her well, but he knows she deserves the world and Iguro's just Ken possibly his least favourite hashira, so he's unimpressed. He tries to hide it to not make her upset though, since it really is none of his business.
When she talks (obliviously pining) about him, Mitsuri doesn't notice Sabito's uncharacteristic lack of enthusiasm, but Uzui does. He brought it up casually at home once and it became the equivalent of a reality TV show for their household. His wives find the dynamic very interesting and demand updates regularly (as if he wasn't going to be nosy anyway). Hinatsuru is a romantic and thinks Iguro's secret soft side is adorable. Iguro passed Suma and Makio in the butterfly mansion and glared at Suma for being loud, so they both firmly agree with Sabito. Mitsuri deserves someone good to everyone, like her, they think. Uzui carefully remains Unopinionated.
Sabito passes by Mitsuri and Obanai on a picnic once. Mitsuri doesn't notice them and Obanai and Sabito have a sort of state off. Obanai is too happy to glare properly, which takes Sabito aback. This whole thing embarrassed Obanai but he didn't try to hide, earning him just a smidgeon of Sabito's respect. Baby steps.

creepy gabriel appreciation* time let's go. i think a lot about zachariah and gabriel being similar to each other but i don't really have any posts about it, so. gach communication style comparison post.
("appreciation" is NOT a word mean sarcastically. i love these characters so much and i am very sympathetic to both of them)
zachariah and gabriel both have a penchant for show-don't-tell (or show-first-then-explain) lesson-teaching. they both try to convey their messages by coming up with little scenarios to throw their targets/victims into to try to convince them of something. zachariah plonked sam and dean into an office au to try to persuade them of the immutability of their identities as hunters; gabriel threw them into a time loop to try to persuade sam that he can't change dean's deal. zachariah put dean into endverse to try to get him to say yes to michael; gabriel put sam and dean into a series of tv shows to get them both to stop fighting their status as true vessels. they both love to fuck with reality; they're both creative; they both seem to believe in the power of demonstration (in addition to explanation) as a persuasion tool.
but. i contend that gabriel's scenarios are a lot meaner than zachariah's.
in it's a terrible life, zachariah gives sam and dean a scary situation, but it's a situation they're equipped to handle, and that they have fun with. they don't remember who they used to be, so they're stressing about what to do going forward, not about the context. in the end, zachariah makes it clear that dean is going to visit 2014 specifically to learn a lesson, that there is a specific three-day timeline — it will not go on indefinitely. these are both brutal situations, they would both be horrifying to live through, but they have clear messages, and, for what they are, they aren't really harsher than they need to be. zachariah is creative, but he doesn't seem to be having more fun than is professionally appropriate; he isn't dragging it out; he's choosing painful teaching methods that allow him to play around more than is probably necessary but he doesn't seem to be dragging it out just for the love of the game. he's doing scare-tactic PSAs that have to fit into 30 second advertising slots, basically. (i acknowledge that zachariah also does physical torture but that's a different sort of thing and not what i am talking about rn)
gabriel does not show the same courtesies that zachariah does. gabriel does not provide context, nor does he provide any kind of identity-warping or memory-fuckery to soften the blow. with gabriel, you just experience whatever horrors he sees fit to inflict, and you get to stumble around trying to figure out what the message is — if there even is one — until you learn it or he gets tired of messing with you. he doesn't stick to timelines; his "lessons" go for as long as they go — for all sam knew, the mystery spot situation was over months and months before it was actually over. gabriel's messages, once he communicates them, are also a lot harder to make sense of than zachariah's: the lesson from mystery spot, "play your role," is pretty clear, but it's muddled by how annoyed gabriel seems to be about that being his message, and how conflicted gabriel himself obviously is about playing his own role. the lesson from mystery spot, that sam needs to learn to let dean go, is also pretty clear eventually, but it’s confusing because it’s ostensibly delivered by a pagan god who has no obvious reason to care one way or another about how well sam copes with his brother’s inevitable death (it gets a little clearer in retrospect, but it’s still bizarre). and then on top of all that, gabriel seems to be having a lot more fun with his tricks than zachariah is with his scenarios, delighting in his own cleverness and seeming to find it funny when his target/victims get rattled. it comes across as a game, whereas zachariah’s work comes across as a job.
and that’s because gabriel is doing everything he’s doing he wants to, whereas zachariah really is doing it because it is his job. zachariah has a prime directive and he has a timeline — and he’s also an angel still hooked into heaven. he’s a cog in the machine; he’s doing what he’s supposed to do; he can enjoy his work but it is to be enjoyed in the service of the greater Plan. gabriel though…gabriel isn’t hooked in anymore. gabriel is, at face value, free. he still is affected by what heaven does, but he’s not one of its agents anymore, so he can do what he wants: no preset goals, no restrictions. and he wants to do is to be cruel in a way that mirrors but is way more indulgent than how most angels are cruel, and he wants to teach heaven’s lessons despite not being on the metaphorical payroll anymore, and he doesn’t want to be to-the-point it about it. (i wonder how much of the lack of clarity of gabriel’s lessons comes from his own uncertainty about what is right and his own experiences of lessons being ambiguous, vs just because he’s having fun being mean.)
the other thing that makes gabriel scary in this comparison is that gabriel’s involvement is a lot more emotional than zachariah’s. zachariah gets annoyed, but for a long time he stays professional. gabriel, though, tends to flip from having fun to being obviously very angry. he’s much more personally invested, and he’s a lot more emotionally expressive — and because of this and the internal conflict underlying his lessons, he comes across as a lot more volatile. i would much much rather be subjected to one of zachariah’s lessons than one of gabriel’s, partly because it would probably be clearer and wouldn’t last as long, but mostly because i would understand how to interact with him. i would know what he wanted, and i would know he would be pretty sensible about my questions and concerns, because he’s a guy doing his prestigious job. gabriel though…gabriel is an entity with astonishing reality-warping powers who doesn’t make it clear what he wants, who seems to take pleasure in playing cruel pranks, and who is very invested and upset about things i would have no context for at all, in ways he seems conflicted with himself about, and so i therefore would have no way of knowing how to avoid upsetting him more.
and i think that’s really interesting! that even an angel who isn’t strictly an angel anymore can’t really help but do heaven’s work for it. gabriel is a guy with a skillset that was very valuable at the place he used to work, but he hated the working conditions so he quit, and then wasn’t sure what to do so just kept using those skills but more, and then was mad about it that he couldn’t come up with anything different to do. still defined by his old job because he was a great fit for it, even though he wants to distance himself from that job. it’s probably even dangerous for gabriel to involve himself with sam and dean repeatedly and so pointedly, because he’s supposed to be in hiding and they’re pretty prominently on heaven’s radar — but he can’t help himself, and so he takes it out on them. he’s a great example of angels being capable of enjoying things, but not being great at figuring out how to want things that they haven’t been told to want. it fits in nicely with raphael’s statement in 5.03 “whatever we want, we get” — but what raphael wants is to do what raphael is supposed to want, to follow the plan, because that will lead to paradise.

Hi Hazel, just saw your post with your thoughts on the situation between Jake Dennis and Pascal Wehrlein. Firstly, thank you for always sharing your insights on that sort of stuff, it's super interesting to hear about the drivers' personalities and the dynamics between them, especially cause I feel like we still don't get enough content from FE that would show that side of the drivers (like we do in F1), which is honestly a shame.
Secondly, there was another interview on German TV (Daniel Abt took Jake out on a coffee date) where Jake said he and Pascal haven't been talking since Berlin (or, well, Pascal hasn't been speaking to him since then, but I absolutely hate how they made it into this one-sided thing coming from Pascal because it's so obviously playing into that old arrogant diva narrative that i thought we'd overcome in recent years but I already know certain people will use it to fuel the agenda). So apparently the trigger wasn't the comments from Jakarta, my guess is it's either about Pascal sustaining damage from Jake going into his side after the Ticktum crash in Sao Paulo, or about Jake taking Antonio out in the first Berlin race? And idk if you saw but Pascal's response was "I didn't feel like that but okay if he says that", it was published in one of the articles in the FE app. Does any of that information change your view on the situation, or could I just get your take on it (again, sorry)?
Oh and while we're on the subject and I'm already in your inbox, has Pascal ever talked about how he perceived/perceives the way he got treated by the media and the reputation they gave him? From what I've seen, people here on tumblr aren't afraid to call it out as stereotyping/racism, but I've never seen people openly call it that on any other platform, and unfortunately even with some years of distance I don't think I've ever seen Pascal talk about it in an interview, or be asked about it (that would require the media to be self aware so yeah, probably never gonna happen).
I'd still say it's clash of personality. Pascal could chew Jake out post-race and Jake wouldn't take it too hard, sort of considers it banter. Pascal does not. He doesn't talk badly about people habitually and when he does he means it, Jake has a much more casual attitude to throwing things about but then would expect people to still be friends with him and that that was all part of the game.
Jake is a puppy that bit you and can't work out why it's in trouble because you were just playing, right? Which is why he keeps talking about it. And Pascal is simply taking himself out of the situation. He won't play if you use teeth.
Theres also the fact they are in a title fight and so yes, they will both play off against each other. If Pascal knows it winds Jake up for him not be friendly then he's not likely to go out of his way to avoid that - they're not and never have been besties and Jake is also a BMW factory driver interloper in the Porsche machine currently so there's no real internal pressure for Pascal to even vaguely pretend like with his last teammate.
It's also Jake's prerogative to wind Pascal up a bit. This is, after all, a world championship both of them (rejected F1 boys, chips on their shoulders*) want very badly. The margins in Formula E are very fine so of course they all play psychological games - it's not been too beef-tastic for awhile because you can't really beef anyone specific when there's a 17-way title fight. But even when there wasn't, Mitch and Stoffel managing to stay friends is more like Sam and Jev did. In both cases, a long history of liking and understanding each other, there, whereas Pascal and Jake are distant semi-colleagues.
In reality, if Rome hadn't gone as badly for Mitch and Nick as it did there's every chance they would've both played themselves by worrying too much about each other and not enough about the Jaguar powered cars.
To the point about the media angle: no. A lot of people in media will tell you the lies about Pascal with a dead straight face and being totally serious about it, like this is the Deep, Secret Truth. I know perfectly well it's not because even if I hadn't met him myself, I know a lot of people who've worked with him.
Some drivers can be divas, Jerome D'Ambrosio was a nightmare to work with when him and Pascal were both at Mahindra and I think he did a lot of learning and reflection about that when he moved into a management role with Venturi. Pascal is one of those drivers his team Loves, like Lando or Mitch. Which probably does make it quite hard to be his teammate sometimes, as much as it's nothing he's doing deliberately but also doesn't excuse the falsehoods.
Most people just don't talk about Pascal at all anymore. Once you're outside F1, the F1 journalists don't care and I doubt anyone would be particularly interested in interrogating their relationship to him prior to that. There's not a huge number of uhhhh idk what you'd call us, the socially conscious end of motorsport journalist, who've been around since before Pascal left F1. So there is also a gap in the history of it - and if you don't occasionally get your ear bent by dinosaurs, you might well not be aware what they say about him anyway.
I'd like to think it's something that Formula E's PR team is aware of but none of the original PRs from FE are left and I don't think there's anyone from even the early stages of Gen2, so institutional memory is pretty much blank there. Obviously if you think about the landscape of motorsport, it would be clear but the majority of people who work in motorsport are the people who don't necessarily see anything glaringly wrong with its diversity let alone the micro and macro aggressions of the media.
Pascal has definitely talked to me about being misrepresented in the media. It would've been awhile ago now (since obviously I haven't been at FE for more than a year) so I don't know whether I still have the recordings; I'll ask him about it in London if I get a chance.
(gently, obviously; it's why they talk to me about this sort of thing more than other people)
*Jake was never funded very well in junior series and is too tall to drive F1 cars, his head blocks the air intake which is why he is kept as a pet simulator driver by Red Bull. Pascal was meant to be Mercedes next big thing until Ocon was and then neither of them were. Mercedes treated him extraordinarily poorly towards the end of his contract, including forcing him to do a DTM test in redundant machinery that wouldn't even run the next season instead of his first race weekend in FE.
