CREEPYPASTA CHARACTERS CELEBRATING VALENTINE'S DAY

"but admin, its early January!" yeah well if christmas stuff can start coming the second fall starts then i can celebrate valentines early/j also i saw valentines stuff already being set up at the store and its gotten me in the mood writing this at 2:30 am while playing a roblox tycoon, im fighting demons rn... so tonights writing may be a little.... off... as per usual, jeff toby and ben are written as platonic (and honestly, i think platonic friendships are just as deserving of being celebrated too!) typos and blugh-y-ness aside, i hope you all enjoy!

SLENDERMAN:

i think he might be a little behind on the tradition... so you might have to fill him in...! i think once he gets an understanding of the holiday he tries to do something for you! i think he would pick flowers from around the forest for you ! so be prepared for that! but if you have an allergy or arent really a flower person, then i think he might find you a collection of cool rocks... maybe he even carves something from wood for you! dont forget picnics, too! i think he would take this as a moment to remind you how much he loves you... its not often that he verbalizes how much he values you.... well verbalize in terms of speaking in your head... but...! 8/10 hes my wife your honor!

SPLENDORMAN:

unlike his brother he DOES know what the holiday is and just know hes going to get this huge picnic set up for you! he cant exactly go out and buy you anything (actually... most of these characters cant....) so i think he might make you something! a handmade gift! isnt that nice! might give you a flower crown as well... i think he would try his hand at making the food for the picnic, i think unlike slender he can handle digesting human food... okayish... be it because he built a tolerance or because hes built different... shrugs... gives you a bouquet of sun flowers and makes the day about YOU... he would appreciate a gift, but hes not going to give you flack for not getting him anything 8/10 i love him too i wish i wrote for him more

EYELESS JACK:

honestly given that he lives in a cabin in the woods with like. zero ties to the outside world, he kind of loses his sense of time... kind of just relies off of the weather changing through the year to gauge what month it is... and even then that can only be so accurate... no youre probably going to have to remind him or drop some hints... kind of panics at first... i think he would offer to do some services for you (not like that) such as doing some work around your place, or cooking for you... but that doesnt mean much when he already kind of does that... hmmm.... offers to take you out to watch the stars, you guys end up exchanging stories... maybe if you ask nicely, he might come out with you to the streets and stroll around with you after everyone else has gone to bed... i dont think he really does... big gestures... 7/10 i still love him too and tbh my ass wouldnt mind not getting a huge gesture or gift

LAUGHING JACK:

i think he would go all out when he sees the valentines day commercials airing on the tv. i can see him making an arts and crafts thing for you but i can also see him just outright going to a store and stealing something. what are they going to do? arrest a 7 foot clown that can disappear into a puff of smoke? yeah right... whaaaaat? no of course he didnt steal this really expensive piece of jewelry! i think he would expect something in return though so you better have gotten him something! i think he would be satisfied with some candy, and perhaps some extra affection? please? generally easy to please during this holiday since hes just happy to have you around and to himself 9/10 i love him your honor hes my other wife

MASKY/TIM:

masky does know about the holiday, for the most part, usually from media and commercials, though... im still a little eh on how i write masky and hoodie in general but shhhh. i dont think he would see it as much of a big deal, though... but he can kind of see it being a big deal to you, if it is of course. i think he would just bluntly try to ask you what you want. no beating around the bush with this one... doesnt expect anything in return nor does he want anything... but i dont think he would deny you if you wanted to spoil him... 6/10 i love me a straight forward king

as for tim i think he might try to put some more romance into his attempt and try to surprise you... might cook you dinner and decorate the place to look fancy, since i dont think he would like going out to some fancy restaurant... gives you flowers, too... doesnt ask for anything in return either but his eyes do light up a little when you get him something, bonus if its not your typical valentines gift and its something thats more relevant and practical in the long run 6.5/10

HOODIE/BRIAN:

i think i can see hoodie being a little more playful in this scenario, but not by much... hes not at emotionally distant as masky is, but hes still not easy to read. i think he would make you something... maybe its because i see brian being into art and its bleeding into how i interpret hoodie, but i think he would paint you something... or maybe he tries to set up a little movie date for you two! makes a pillow fort to surprise you, too.. very nice, very calm night.. you guys stay up all night together. he refuses to fall asleep before you... 7/10

between the two if im going to go with the artist hc brian is the better artist and is generally more confident in his ability to make something that looks pleasing to the sight orbs. be it a portrait or something based around one of your interests, hes going to be working for weeks in advance trying to perfect it... i think he might also try to take you out for dinner, too. i can see brian being a bit of a romantic sap, probably plays your guys's songs while you're driving around town together 9/10 i would actually cry personally

TICCI TOBY:

between being on the run for krilling his dad and for burning his neighborhood down + working for slenderman toby isnt around often... but he does try to still make time for you, especially when theres holidays going on! hell, he still tries to come over when its saint pattys day. he doesnt care if he doesnt have green, hes still going to go check in on you. so hands down hes going to be there for you... though i dont think he would be able to offer you anything... so you two hanging out will have to suffice. while its not traditional to give your friends anything for valentines (which i think is bs, i like giving my friends candy and homemade goods) he might... just try to go shoplift some chocolate... please talk him out of it... 6/10 its a cool hang out, you guys probably watch movies and catch up!

JEFF THE KILLER:

"ew feelings and caring about others" kind of sums up jeffs views on valentines, and as immature as it sounds, its his true thoughts. so dont expect anything from him, i mean if you ask to hang out he might swing by your place. and by swing by i mean hes going to pick the lock to your window and let himself in through your bathroom... which scares the hell out of you considering youve given him a key to your house... similar to toby the day is spent like any other, which is fine.. not terrible, honestly. you guys probably just fuck around and do what you guys normally do, 6/10

BEN DROWNED:

"ew feelings and caring about others" for ben as well but thats because hes literally a ghost kid so it makes sense for him to have that mindset, so dont expect him to mention the day to you. i think if anything he might send you a png of those dumb valentines cards or memes but stress that hes only doing it because he thinks it might make you happy... which is sweet and sad because how often does ben get to interact and befriend people? communicate with them? otherwise you guys just do your own thing, 5/10

PUPPETEER:

oh hes going to be dramatic about it. you better get him something, reader! unlike laughing jack hes not easy to please! you better not pick him up some basic card from the store, you better make it unique to him! he doesnt eat so you dont need to burn a hole in your wallet to get him some expensive chocolates or plushies.. but what does he do for you? i think he would... do something similar in return, actually. maybe its the puppet theming but i can see him putting on a little show for you, or maybe even hand making you your own toy/plushie, totally catered to you and your interests! just know hes going to want your undivided attention for the entire day, and in return youre going to have his attention as well 7.5/10

like what if it's like in christmas movies, you are a career woman who is sick of everyone trying to get you a boyfriend. but itoshi sae is also sick of getting question about his relationship status, not exactly the guy with bright smiles who will change your mind about relationships.

nonetheless, somehow the two of you ended up on a dinner together and walked out with not a relationship, but instead a plan and a timeline of a fake relationship for a year. the first month is secret dates that somehow always ended up getting caught red handed by rin—or victim a; third month is moving in; then starting from the eleventh month it will be where the relationship is facing problems. then at the twelfth, the two of will break up and go on with a wound so deep that a new relationship will be impossible for the two of you for a while. it's a plan that you offered with a customer service smile and sae accepted because he is just sick of it all.

and then chats in between the meals happened, sae making sure no one touched in the part happened, sharing black coffee every morning happened, you finding sae's habits and such oddly adorable happened, and sae finding that whatever he is having with you is not bad at all. the oh moment hit. the staring at your back silently with wide eyes moment hit.

so at the ninth month, you decide to sped up the plan a little bit and tell him you will move out. you start this as a mature adult, so you will walk out before you no longer have the will to be one in front of him.

sae is like those christmas movies heroine in some ways. i no longer remember what sort of thought convinced me last 3 am but. he is. and he is a funny guy who i cant think of doing anything if it doesnt benefit his soccer career while also being the guy i really like to put in a domestic setting. probably because he is a family guy in some way???? (honestly i dont know) and then there is my recent obsession with ' i didnt mean to fall in love with you' kinda beat which go hand in hand with fake lovers. i really want this to be fluff full of moments shared together along with the crashing realization (that came twice) of "oh" moment from fake lovers trope. and. yeah im definitely confused but i think i got the spirit.

"ARE YOU BLUSHING?"

It was just a regular Christmas Eve at Broomstown.

A holiday awaited all year by many.

How could anyone not love Christmas?

I mean, you don't have to go to work or go to school, you can drink hot chocolate, wear cute hats and gloves, build snowmen, have snowball fights, and, most importantly,

You would get lots of presents from Santa! (Or from your closest friends, if you're not a child anymore.)

And yet, even on this day, the newly funded "rescue team" of the town couldn't relax.

"You guys, we really need your help. The current vehicle that was in charge of setting up the Christmas tree is sick! And guess what that means..."

"Let me guess: it means that we gotta do it ourselves... Yeah, can't wait."

"Well, it is our job after all. We can't be mad..."

"Our job? You mean setting up Christmas trees?" Helly asked, sarcastically.

"I mean making sure we help the town in any way that we can, including setting up Christmas trees if needed, Helly."

"We better get to work fast, then! The tree is huge, and Christmas is already tomorrow!"

"Right! Instead of complaining, we should focus all our strength on working!

"You're both so motivated it makes me feel even more unsure about this..."

"Well, it wouldn't hurt you to learn a thing or two from them, don't you think?" Poli teased with a small chuckle.

"Hey! Stop teasing me! I said I was unsure, not that I wasn't going to do it at all!"

"Quiet, you two!" Jin exclaimed, interrupting their little banter.

Then, with an annoyed sigh, she turned her attention to Roy and Amber, and said:

"I do appreciate the enthusiasm, you guys, but setting up the tree isn't all! We also need help placing all the gifts of EVERY citizen down there, and so we really need a Santa Claus that would kindly do that. Well, Two Santas, given how many gifts there actually are..."

"Oh! Well, that's not really a problem is it? We'll just divide in two groups! Two of us set up the tree, and the other two go pick up all the presents!"

"Seems like a plan."

"Ahem, two groups of two? What about me?"

"Right, well, what we meant to say was one group of two and one of three, of course, hahaha...!" Roy awkwardly laughed, trying to keep Jin from getting angry exploding like always.

Jin crossed her arms, but felt satisfied after she was included in the activity.

Without pressing on the issue even further, she said:

"Anyways, let's just make these groups and get straight to work. Me, Poli and Helly will be in charge of the Christmas tree, since Helly can fly, Poli's the strongest one in our team and I'll watch over them to make sure they're doing everything right. Amber and Roy will go pick up the gifts from the Post Office and bring them to us. Is that okay?"

Everyone agreed,

"it's settled then. Oh, and, Roy, Amber, grab these hats!" Jin said, as she grabbed two Christmas hats from her bag and threw them at the two.

"Are you sure we need to wear these? How is this necessary?"

"It's the rules, you're Santa, you gotta wear the hat! Or do you want me to get the white beard for you as well?" Jin teased with a smirk, getting a giggle from Amber.

"Haha, no, no... I was just asking. The hats are pretty cute, anyways. Right, Roy?"

Roy looked at Amber and smiled warmly at her, nodding his head

"Yes, they're pretty warm and comfortable."

"Glad to hear that, you two. Now, off you go!"

Roy and Amber quickly drove away, leaving the headquarters and heading together towards the Post Office to retrieve all of the presents.

"Jin, you know I'm not the strongest of the group, it's definitely Roy... So why did you-"

"So Roy could go alone with Amber, duh!"

"Wait, so that's... That's like... Oh... Oh! You mean it's like a secret Christmas date?!"

"Took you long enough!"

"Wait... So are the hats also-"

"Yeah, I lied. They aren't necessary, I just wanted to see them with cute matching hats."

"But when I lie then suddenly it's not okay, huh..."

"Hey! In my defense they're so cute together yet SO oblivious it makes me mad! I just want them to realize their feelings and kiss already!"

"yeah, they should really confess to each other, but it also isn't good to rush them. It needs to happen naturally, we just gotta give those lovebirds some time."

"Let's see how this date goes then! Hopefully they won't just stutter and awkwardly talk over each other like last time!"

"Oh dear..."

"I didn't expect there to be so many!" Roy exclaimed, as he and Amber looked at all the piles of presents scattered across the office.

"Well, let's start. The sooner we begin the sooner we finish."

Roy nodded, and together the started to grab the presents 5 at a time and putting them on a cart that they would have to bring to the others.

"Amber, how are you going to spend the Christmas holidays?"

The ambulance smiled slightly, without taking her eyes off her work.

"Well, I don't really know... I was thinking of just spending it quietly at home, with some friends and family. You know, the usual." She answered.

"Oh, I see. Well, my family couldn't make it to Broomstown this year, so I guess I'll have plenty of free time on my tyres..."

"oh, I'm sorry to hear that... Why couldn't they come?"

"Well, they were just too busy. I mean, both of my parents work, and they have my little brother to take care of, so they just couldn't make it here for Christmas."

Amber stayed silent for a bit.

"it must be tough being so far away from your family, I couldn't imagine that."

Roy laughed.

"Well, it isn't as awful as you may think. Yes, I miss them sometimes, but I'm doing just fine here! Haha..."

Amber frowned, but didn't say anything as she placed some more presents on the cart.

She could see right through him.

"You know, you don't have to pretend like you're always okay. At least, you don't have to do that around me, Roy."

Roy stopped in his tracks, caught completely red-handed.

"W-what? I'm not pretending, I really am just fine! Look-"

"Roy."

Her voice turned stern for a moment, but with a soft undertone. She wasn't having any of that, and Roy could tell. He knew her well, and as it turned out, she knew him as well, perhaps even more than he knew her.

"I-I..."

"It's okay if you don't want to talk right now, but I just..."

She stopped, as she turned her gaze from the work to her best friend, now facing him directly.

"I just worry about you, okay?"

As she said that, Amber approached Roy and gently held both of his hands, that were already cold from the chilly winter weather.

As he felt her fingers brush against his palm, he felt a shiver run down his spine, and he felt his cheeks turning a warm, flushed red color.

He blushed.

"Amber, you... you really do..?"

"Of course I do! Does it look like I don't? You're my best friend, I care about you a lot, you know?"

Roy stayed silent for a few minutes, still processing what he just heard.

She cares about him. She knows he isn't fine,

Because she cares.

She was so close to him he felt like he was about to explode.

"I-I'm... Y-you, I mean, thank you... You're the best girlfr-... Er.. I mean friend I ever had Haha.. ha... ha."

Amber looked at him with warmth, until her gentle expression turned into a smug smirk.

"Aww, are you flustered?"

Roy almost jumped, letting go of Amber and slapping them immediately on his cheeks to try and cover it up.

He really was loosing his cool, something that rarely ever happened to him before.

"I..."

Roy sighed, knowing that he couldn't change the subject Anyways.

"How could you tell right away? Am I really such an awful liar...?"

"Not at all, you are a pretty good liar, I must admit." Amber praised him and patted his shoulder, as she spoke "But so am I. Liars know liars, you could say."

Roy blinked twice in surprise.

Amber, the nicest, most kindest most beautiful soul in the whole world, was a good liar?

"You? A... liar?"

"Yeah, I knew you'd be surprised. I don't like lying, that's why I rarely do it, but that doesn't mean that I don't know how to, once in a while."

"Wow, I... I never knew that about you."

"Well, now you do! You're the first person I told this to, actually."

"really?"

"mhm, really."

Silence. Roy was still shaken up from earlier. He felt ashamed of being so vulnerable in front of amber, he felt weak and useless.

"I'm... I'm really sorry that you had to see me like... this." Roy shyly said, in embarrassment.

"But Isn't that a good thing?"

"Huh...?"

"You showed me the real you. Not some fearless and heroic firefighter, but the real you, so I did it in return. Now we're even. That makes us even closer than before, isn't that amazing?"

"I... I guess It is..." Roy's answers were short, and a bit repetitive, because he was so nervous he couldn't even come up with a proper answer.

Amber smiled warmly, and then she looked at Roy's head.

Without saying anything, she came closer, and without asking she adjusted the Christmas hat that was about to fall.

"And besides, I like this side of you. It's genuine, and cute." She whispered softly, as she looked directly into Roy's eyes.

Roy blushed even harder now, and Amber obviously noticed, since she let out another soft giggle.

But this time, Roy didn't cover it up.

He was flustered, but not embarrassed.

Because he could trust Amber just as much as he could trust his family, or Poli.

She was his best friend, or, maybe even something more...

Amber was so beautiful, he couldn't even think straight.

After adjusting the hat, she stepped away from Roy to give him some space, as she went back to work.

"...Oh, Amber! About my family..."

"hmm?"

"Could I... maybe, tell you about them another time?"

"Of course, whenever you want to. I'm always willing to listen."

She smiled again, and this time, the first thing Roy thought was that she was more beautiful than all of the stars behind her.

"Now let's finish with this tiresome job, Santa! The others must be freezing while they're waiting for us!"

"Haha, I'm coming, I'm coming!"

ooooooh ok juicy sfc posts happening !! i rly honestly truly love to see it. here's my unasked for two cents, as someone who did find the story really hopeful. im posting this not to like, discourse or disagree or discount what im seeing, but to just maybe offer a different pov for ppl who might be trying to file this story away in a less devastating way.

i, of course, think baz deserves better than what he gets from his family. we all deserve to have families that love us unconditionally, and so many of us DONT have that -- including baz. that hurts !! i also think simon didn't deserve to lose his magic, and penny didn't deserve to take on the sole responsibility for keeping simon safe, and agatha didnt deserve to be shoved into every princess/damsel role ppl cast on her, etc etc.

what i like so much abt this series is that ppl dont get what they deserve, but theyre still okay. its why i also love the end of awtwb -- simons LICH ER ALL Y crying lol. he got a whole mega-bucket of extra trauma dumped on his plate that he hasnt even started to process. but its still so clear that he's got the support he needs to live a good life alongside this terrible knowledge. the mage fucked him over even more than he knew, but he doesnt have to define himself by these terms anymore -- we've seen his growth in this regard.

bazs main arc in the series is about how he sees himself -- in crudely simple terms, he rly wants to be a Good Guy (you know, not a vampire, straight, a good pitch etc etc) but sees himself as cursed with that impossibility. this continues as his idealized Good Guy self develops over the course of the books into something that actually feels more achievable to him and is less reliant on the shit his family put on him growing up.

the cool thing about snow for christmas is that -- just like when simon finds out abt the mage at the end of awtwb -- we get to see baz's new sense of self tested. we get to see what he's using to draw the lines of morality. and we get to see that while of course he still cares about what his family thinks, and it still causes him anxiety and trauma and all the shitty things that he doesnt deserve -- he has grown from that place where their value system can make him hate himself.

and moreso on the hope part -- the grimms value, above all, the ability to fit into the roles they think theyre supposed to hold. its bullshit, and they've both caused themselves problems and absolutely are fucking up their children. daphne fully had to be saved by a cult bc of it and shes still not over that mindset -- these ppl need therapy lol. so it's def sick n twisted that they're celebrating baz being able to hide better rather than celebrating who baz is, but is this not the utmost sign of love that they're capable of? baz gets to fit in better -- that's all they've ever wanted for him, whether we agree with that or not. baz seems to recognize the balance of this in the story. he narrates the rest of the dinner with a sort of dry, relieved, disbelieving tone. it’s like hes huffing a laugh, shaking his head, thinking, “did i really used to pin so much of myself on this stuff? how silly.” he is not distressed bc he understands his parents, and he has, again, divorced his sense of self from their expectations. so much so tht he says fuck it and gives simon the lil kissy at the end, because THIS is his new value system: he ALWAYS kisses simon goodbye!

so, is this a step forward for the grimms being more supportive parents? yeah, maybe not. maybe it never gets better than baz hiding his fangs at dinner and everyone doing the bare minimum to accept simon's role in baz’s life. that's not what baz and simon deserve. but it could be enough, because simon and baz have different ways that they measure their happiness by. they have each other and penny and shep and ruth and agatha and niamh and every other person they'll meet in the many, many years ahead of them whose opinions they can choose to make important to them, or reject. i love this for them! the true queer hope story imo. thats what i want for myself and for the people i love.

to be clear: this story made me sob so hard i scared my cats. (im not rly a crier, they did not know what to do). i had to put it down in the middle because i couldnt see the page. any queer person who has Family Shit is bound to get whammied lol. but! i personally find comfort in the idea that we can coexist with people who are important to us but also very difficult to be around, even if its not totally what we deserve. its a very quiet, somber hope -- but that only makes it feel more real to me.

I know I ask this a lot but it's because I really like your Michael but can we hear More about him?

Youre "charlie likes horror movies and michael Does Not" has fixed my months long procrastination on how to deal with Michaels relationship with horror, so heres that:

Michael liked horror movies well enough when he was younger, but hated them as he got older. I don't think he hates horror as a genre; i actually think he would like the modern horror genre because a lot of it is focused on family tragedy, and he would find that relatable. (tho i think its funny because that subgenre was largely inspired by fnaf.)

He hates gore and body horror played for shock value, since hes lived a lot of those horrors himself, and it can trigger his ptsd. but i also think a more deeply rooted hate of those types of films comes from a lot of the villians being queer-coded, mentally ill, physically deformed, etc. which are all labels that apply to him and a lot of the people in his life. The heros are never as fucked up or as complicated as he is, or his friends are, or his father is

bit of a side tangent, but "queer, mentally ill, neurodivergent, etc villain vs queer, mentally ill, neurodivergent, etc hero" is like my favorite dynamic. Bill Cipher vs the Pines, Megatron vs Optimus (TFP specifically), William Afton vs Michael and/or Henry just to name a few

Though i think that Mike would really love the kinda cheesy childish horror. Jump scares, tacky halloween decorations, haunted houses, and zombies especially. The Haunted Mansion ride at Disney and The Nightmare Before Christmas? He LOVES that shit. He likes startling people and being startled. Its kind of a form of affection he locked away after the bite, but came back after getting Ev's forgiveness and learning he doesnt have to hate himself and never have fun for the rest of his life.

Hed probably have this really goofy high pitched screech followed by nervous, slightly crazed laughter whenever hes snuck up on/tickled from behind/jumpscared/generally not expecting something. He's got Henry, Charlie, Evan, and Jeremy constantly trying to get him to do the Goofy Screech. fun family vibes.

He likes messing with the weird cryptid hunters whenever they ask around town about him. like "hello are you aware of the utah purple man" "yeah man im pretty fucking aware of him"

sometimes i think about james potter who spent his early time at hogwarts with this absolutely debilitating crush on lily evans- he was so sure that it was true love; all the signs were there right? he wanted to impress her, he didnt like when his best friend was close to her, he did like looking at her, too.

and he did really like her. but in 4th year james gets his first girlfriend (not lily) and he really likes her too! (he thinks) and james takes her to hogsmeade and they go to madame puddifoots together and they kiss in the courtyard sometimes and its nice but a little awkard but james is okay with that- at least he has a girlfriend before sirius! but then they break up two months later and she asks james if he even likes looking at her. and james knows its about lily but shes like ??? sirius???

then james kinda realized he looks at sirius more than his girlfriend, more than lily. and this is kinda crazy to james because hes like holy shit do i have a crush on my best friend? and hes kind of horrified because thats his best friend. but at the same time its his best friend

and it almost feels too easy?? he's already close to sirius he already knows sirius doesnt dislike him or anything and he kind of likes the chase! but also of course he can't like sirius! so he carries on 'liking' lily and being way way more obnoxious and doing these ridiculous displays of asking her out.

fast forward to 6th year: sirius has left home. james (who is in deep denial) gets up from the dinner table on christmas eve and opens the front door to his best friend. it was raining and sirius is soaked through and they just stare at each other. and sirius sounds almost manic, ecstatic and he tells james that he hates them and he finally did it. they spend the rest of the winter together. in the day james drags sirius flying and they steal james' dad's firewhiskey and they drink it on the roof and crawl into james' bed together at night. and sirius doesn't talk about his family and james doesn't make him.

and one night theyre talking again and james feels a bit drunk and he asks sirius why he never tells him about the girls he snogs. and sirius is like ??!!?? because sirius at this point had been in love with him for years and yeah girls have asked him out but theyre not good enough because theyre not james! sirius tells james hes never kissed anyone and then james just does ? and sirius goes with it at first but then hes like james wtf are we doing. and james denial potter is like practice! i'm helping you practice!

so theyre now like kinda a thing by this point but its just 'practice' when remus walks in on them kissing in the dorm after james' quidditch practice and its just 'helping a mate out' when peter pulls sirius' curtains open looking for his transfiguration essay and finds them in various states of undress. except the night before james' birthday theyre both in his bed just talking and sirius is like i think im gay. and james is like holy shit im in love with sirius

But what about the other way around as in Soap is the one tracking down Ghost to force the Merry Holidays on him.

I headcanon that Ghost on leave is living in some apartment that isn’t even on his name (cause legally he died in og comics in his backstory) and it’s just him and his thoughts and well…

Soap having picked up on Ghost having gotten more depressed before leave, decides to skip out on his own family to hunt down his Lt. (Maybe with help of Price or Laswell or someone)

And so Ghost cannot believe when the door bell rings on hallow eve - he is already well into a bottle of bourbon and yeah.

Yeah so Ghost definitely gets super drunk on Christmas Eve. Turns off his phone because he doesn’t want to talk to anyone. Tries to just… ignore the Christmas season because he doesn’t want to think about his family.

Besides the whole finding his family dead on Christmas, he grew up poor and with an abusive dad. There’s no way the holidays have any happy memories.

No one knows where he lives! No one knows what name he’s under! He can just hide there until the holidays end!

Except no. Soap gets his location from Laswell who somehow knows it they’re not going to ask. Price tries to warm him he’ll be touchy, but he doesn’t know why Ghost is like he is about the holidays.

So Soap shows up, finds Ghost completely drunk, mask off because he’s not ghost right now he’s Simon. He goes to comment on the complete lack of decorations before stopping, noticing Ghost looks very upset.

“Who died?”

“What?”

“Did someone die? Is that why you’re here?”

“No, of course not! Just came to say Merry Christmas. Thought I’d spend it with you this year.” Soap smiles. “Do you have a coffee pot?”

Ghost stares at him before nodding, showing him where it is.

Soap notices the photos, family ones spread all over the table. It’s not hard to pick up on which one is Simon. Or the fact that in a lot of him either he or his mom has bruises.

He doesnt comment, just makes them both a cup to sober Ghost up.

“Want to watch a movie?”

Got any random Fairchild family headcanons, especially ones pertaining to Matthew and Henry?

Oh, I always have headcanons!

Also, sorry I took so long to answer, I am currently withering away to sawdust.

Matthew was one of those “nicely disobedient kids”. Someone will be like “okay, keep your shoes on okay? It’s important not to take them off in here alright?” and he's like “yeah yeah yeah! I got it!” then tears his pants and shirt away and takes off running.

Both Matthew and Charles were those kids who just hung off their parents 24/7. Actually, all the TID gangs kids are like that. Someone is always carrying at least one child. Henry’s lap is prime real estate. So are Will’s shoulders. What are adults if not your personal chauffeur?

Henry and Matthew actually do have very similar hair, although Matthew’s is straighter. Matthew can’t tell because, you know, he styles it, and Henry absolutely does not.

Matthew’s concern about not looking like his father in GOTSM is distressing because its so unfounded. He looks a lot like both his parents, and frankly he’s the only one who's never noticed.

Christmas is soooo fun there. Mostly because they dont do any of it at their own house, they just go to all the christmas parties they get invited to and watch shit go down. Every shadowhunter party is a madhouse. Matthew and Charles get released into the crowd of children to play, and Henry and Charlotte just kind of sit to the side and watch everything dissolve into chaos. They’ll send Matthew and Charles home with an uncle or aunt, they're staying to watch 24 year old Micheal what's his name from some corner of Britain tries to fight his 64 year old uncle over the rise of livestock taxes in liverpool. Charlotte doesnt feel morally obligated to step until chairs become involved.

Other than the entertianment of christmas chaos, holidays are fun. They come with markets and present shopping. Matthew and Charles get paired off with whatever parent, then their basically free in a christmas market (provided they stay within five feet of said parent.) Matthew goes with Henry and has the time of his life. He comes home with pockets full of peppermint candies choclaty little fingers and a whole lot of happiness. Also, did you know theres fun holiday stuff in the shadowmarket? Whats better than sitting in your dads lap while he chats with a warlock in a demon language like forty people in the world speak, then going back to the cities for a chocolate croissant. Hey, it's safer than you think, Henry's not letting Matthew go anywhere in that market lol.

Of course, there a lots of bedtime stories and songs. Matthew is big on bedtime stories, though he has a few favorites. He's quite keen on Alice's Adventures In Wonderland, and he asks for it at least once a week. That was Henry's favorite as a child, and there are several copies to pick from which may be part of why Matthew likes it so much.

When Matthew gets a little older they move onto more interesting stuff. You know, the normal books for a nine year old; like The Travels of Marco Polo. Matthew is a well educated nine year old.

There's a lot of checkers and chess. Charlotte is decent at chess, and Henry's amazing at it, though Charles Buford and Matthew are more average. Matthew does, however, enjoy the aesthetic, and can play a mean game of checkers.

Tea time is important. World might be burning down but there will be tea on the Fairchild's table.

Matthew and Charles get sent flowers on special occasions. Doesn't really matter if they want flowers, or if they are "far to old for such frivolaty, I have things to do they'll simply die-" (coughcharlesbufordcough), they get them anyway. Henry and Charlotte have had the same ancient florist from Yorkshire doing it for decades, and considering she's been ninety since Henry was about six, and shows no signs of mortality, Charles and Matthew should prepare to have flowers forever.

One good rule for the kids in that house is to a) knock, and b) if that door is locked, do NOT open it. Really a rule all the TID gang kids know. If you decide to open, or try to open, or even hang out near, a locked door (or any thin walls) may the consequences be on your own head. Look, everyone in that group loves their partner very much,

That’s why Charles Buford is so bitter btw. Didn’t know the rule, scarred for life. Pretty much like that vine.
