it may be hard, especially if you’re the agreeable type. but with your friends, you sometimes have to let go of the urge to always be the last to reply. leave them on read, hang up first, leave the party early.
prioritize your needs. you’ll both be there for each other in the future.

Their videos do more than just cheer me up when I’ve had a really stressful day/month/year etc. They provide knowledge and insight on how to face the world; they present life with all its greatness and harshness and beauty.
The myriad of Hank and John Green videos, from Vlogbrothers videos to Crash Course to Mental Floss, have infinitely impacted my life.
Their videos do more than just cheer me up when I’ve had a really stressful day/month/year etc. They provide knowledge and insight on how to face the world; they present life with all its greatness and harshness and beauty.
They’ve helped me study for tests, and find great bands like The Mountain Goats!
They explain and entertain. They help me deal with loss and stress.
Stress is something I usually can’t handle because of a particularly bad anxiety problem and their videos, websites, and books have completely changed the way I think, the way I act, and the person I want to be.
(All for the better obviously, they haven’t made me want to murder people or anything.) (That would be pretty bad.)
Everything is a little bit better after hearing something from either Green brother.
I’m a happier person and (dare I say) a more intelligent person. I’m no genius after learning something from them, but I know at least one more thing, and that’s not nothing.
I’ve met people from Nerdfighteria who are actually made of awesome!
They share the same hobbies and interests as me, and even when we have different views on certain things they’re always so thoughtful and polite about our disagreements.
That’s what John and Hank are doing; they’re creating a world where people are respectful of other people’s views and opinions. If every person respected everyone else’s opinions millions of conflicts, both major and barely noticeable, would vanish instantaneously!
I can’t express fully how much they’ve impacted my life, but at least I tried.
All I can really do is thank them both for changing me for the better, hopefully one day everyone will want to decrease world suck as much as them and we’ll keep trying until there’s nothin left to decrease.

Mr. Collins, to be sure, was neither sensible nor agreeable; his society was irksome, and his attachment to her must be imaginary.

When the ladies removed after dinner, Elizabeth ran up to her sister, and seeing her well guarded from cold, attended her into the drawing-room, where she was welcomed by her two friends with many professions of pleasure; and Elizabeth had never seen them so agreeable as they were during the hour which passed before the gentlemen appeared.

She was disturbed to think that the man she loved and craved was not Gavin at all, but his fantasy double. He was her Frankenstein monster, her Adonis with the chiseled jawline who never spoke enough to make her grow tired of him, who mirrored all of her tastes and interests, and who seemed to know everything she wanted without being told. But how had he come to exist in the first place? How had he sprung up in his amorphous perfection, as a blank projection screen for her most secret desires?
